Dr. Chalotorn & Tharn - My Views from the Novel
So, i want to talk little about the Dr and Tharn complex relationship in the novel, like i said in previous posts i do not really see the Dr as a villain in the novel.
NOVEL SPOILERS AHEAD:
Now, to explain how I see the Dr and Tharn relationship i want to make a parallel to a BL couple we have this year AI Di & Chen Yi from Kiseki Dear To Me.
Ai Di & Chen Yi were raised together as brothers since infancy, they were orphans adopted by a mafia gang leader. AI Di is younger by a few (3 if i am not mistaken) years while Chen Yi is older.
As they grow up Ai Di develops a crush on Chen Yi while the other did not seem (at least to him) to reciprocate his feelings. The thing is Chen Yi was also in love with him but because of their difference of age it was harder for him to notice the change in his feelings. He had loved Ai Di for years since the day they met, he has a responsibility to him as his older brother. Ai Di has always been the most important person in his life and when he sees in their future he does not see this changing or a future where they are not always together.
As the series progresses they both have to be forced into a separation of 4 years, and in this time that Ai Di was away Chen Yi realizes his true feelings for him, he understands that they always being together isn't a given and how much he really loved, missed and needed him.
Now coming back to Tharn and the Dr, this is the first moment of their past that we learn from the novel:
- I've been promoted from your maid of honor to your companion.
- Aren't you satisfied? My companion isn't a position that anyone could be.
- So, what a companion must do, your Highness?
- Stand by me, accompany me, never be apart from me and obey me.
- But I've heard that being companions, their status must be alike.
- Right, right. Our status is alike now. From now on you are my companion. What I eat, you eat.
- Really?
The listener's eyes broadly widen and sparkled.
- Really. Have I ever lied to you? Chalotorn says in a tender voice while flicking his head disdanfully. See? She is so childish, he thinks to himself.
Then the scene faded to a picture of a little female Naga reading a book to Chalotorn, or she was to catch some fish and show it to him, or sometimes they teased the palace people together. These moments caused Vanvisa to let out a thin smile.
Now, i see the Dr and Tharn relationship a lot like Ai Di/Chen Yi, the Dr was the Naga King he knew and loved Tharn since Tharn started to exist, he watched him grow and played with him. When Tharn approach him with his crush he dismiss as a child admiration but promised him that no matter what they would always be together for eternity.
But as Chen Yi, the Dr took this as given, and unfortunately for him Tharn's love was a temporary crush and he truly loves Phaya. After Phaya and Tharn's death in their first life, the Dr is imprisoned because of his part in what happened by 1000 years.
After all this time separated from Tharn and watching him die in front of him he realizes how much he truly loves and misses Tharn.
He comes back into the mortal world to accompany Tharn in his reincarnations and watches Tharn fall for Phaya and sacrifice himself for countless lives dying to protect him while Phaya is still oblivious to his and Tharn real feelings. As a bonus Tharn does not remember him or any of their history together. He sees Phaya disregard and take for granted Tharn feelings like he used to do, and decides he does not deserve him.
So he starts to try to keep them apart, kills Phaya if he has to, so the Tharn could live longer and happier(in his head) with him. At some point he decides to bring Tharn again to the Underwater Castle (this is why Tharn life line is short, if there aren't all those safety measures in his infancy the Dr would have already brought him to his castle with him).
Do I think he is a perfect person? No, he is a really flawed one like everyone else, but I just can’t see him as a villain. He sure is very entitled (as all kings used to be) and decides things for Tharn without asking him.
But the moment in the end of the novel when Tharn knows everything and makes a decision to be with Phaya and tells him that he respects it and leaves him. Because he truly does love him and always did.

ST. THEOPHAN THE RECLUSE, BISHOP OF TAMBOV (1894)
Tumblr media
George Govorov, the future Saint Theophan, was born on January 10, 1815 in the village of Chernavsk in the Orlov province where his father was a priest.
At first, George attended a primary school at Liven, then a military school. From 1837-1841 he studied at the Kiev Theological Academy, and probably visited the Monastery of the Caves several times. In these surroundings, it was not surprising that he received the monastic tonsure while he was still a student. After graduation Hieromonk Theophan was appointed rector of Kiev’s church schools, and later became rector of the seminary in Novgorod. Before he retired from teaching, Father Theophan served as a professor and Assistant Inspector at the Petersburg Academy.
Saint Theophan was not completely happy with academic work, so he asked to be relieved of his duties. He was assigned to be a member of the Russian Mission in Jerusalem. After being raised to the rank of Archimandrite, he became Rector of Olnets Seminary. Soon he was assigned as the chief priest of the embassy church in Constantinople. Saint Theophan was eventually recalled to Russia to become rector of the Petersburg Academy, and supervisor of religious education in the capital’s secular schools.
On May 9, 1859 Saint Theophan was consecrated as Bishop of Tambov, where he established a diocesan school for girls. During his time in Tambov he came to love the secluded Vysha Monastery in his diocese. In 1863 he was transferred to Vladimir and remained there for three years. He also established a diocesan school for girls at Vladimir.
The holy bishop visited parishes throughout his diocese serving, preaching, restoring churches, and sharing the joys and sorrows of his flock. It was very difficult for Bishop Theophan to live in the world and become involved with vain worldly disputes. Many abused his trust, but he could not bring himself to chastise anyone. Instead, he left such unpleasant tasks to the Archpriest of his cathedral.
He was present at the uncovering of the relics of Saint Tikhon of in 1861, and this made a tremendous impression on him, for he had much in common with that saint. He had loved Saint Tikhon from early childhood, and always spoke about him with great enthusiasm. When Saint Tikhon was glorified as a saint on August 13, Bishop Theophan’s joy knew no bounds.
In 1866 his request to be relieved of his duties as Bishop of Vladimir was granted. He was appointed as Superior of the Vysha Monastery, but soon resigned from that position. He was permitted to live there and to celebrate services whenever he wished. He also received a pension of 1000 rubles.
As he prepared to leave his diocese, he wished to focus on his own salvation, and to concentrate on undisturbed communion with God. On July 24, 1866 he bade his diocese farewell, leaving the world for a life of reclusion, and to devote himself to writing spiritual books. Through these books, Saint Theophan has become the spiritual benefector of all Orthodox Christians. Although he sought the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Mt. 6:33), a reputation as a writer of great significance for the whole world was also added to him.
Bishop Theophan wrote many books, but received no profits from their sale. He tried to keep them as inexpensive as possible, and they quickly sold out. He wrote about topics which others before him had not fully treated, such as how to live a Christian life, how to overcome sinful habits, and how to avoid despair. He tried to explain the steps of spiritual perfection systematically, as one who had himself gone through these various steps. Some of his books include The Spiritual Life and How to be Attuned to It, The Path to Salvation, and Letters on the Spiritual Life. He also translated the Philokalia in five volumes, and The Sermons of Saint Simeon the New Theologian.
Tumblr media
For the first six years in the monastery, Bishop Theophan attended all the services, including the early Liturgy. He stood still in church with his eyes closed so that he would not be distracted. He often celebrated Liturgy on Sundays and Feast Days.
Beginning in 1872, he cut off all relationships with people (except for his confessor) and no longer left his cell to attend church. He built a small chapel in his quarters and dedicated it to the Lord’s Baptism. For ten years he served there on Sundays and Feast Days. For the last eleven years of his life he served every day by himself. Sometimes he would sing, and sometimes he kept completely silent.
Whenever anyone visited him on business, Bishop Theophan would reply with as few words as possible, then immerse himself in prayer. If anyone sent him money, he would distribute it to the poor, keeping only a small portion to purchase books.
Whenever he was not occupied with writing or praying, the reclusive bishop worked at carpentry or painting icons. He received from twenty to forty letters each day, and he answered all of them. He was able to discern each writer’s spiritual condition, then give detailed answers to the questions of those who were struggling for the salvation of their souls.
His eyesight deteriorated in his latter years, but he did not curtail his work because of it. In the evening, his cell attendant would prepare everything for the bishop to serve Liturgy the next morning. After finishing the Liturgy, Bishop Theophan would knock on the wall to signal the cell attendant to serve him tea. On days when there was no fasting, he would eat lunch at 1:00 P.M. This consisted of one egg and a glass of milk. At four o’clock he would have some tea, and then no more food that day.
Bishop Theophan began to get weaker at the beginning of 1894. He was still writing on the afternoon of January 6, but when the cell attendant came to check on him at 4:30 he found that the bishop had departed to the Lord.
Saint Theophan’s body lay in the small church in his cell for three days, then three more days in the cathedral. There was no trace of corruption, however. He was laid to rest in the Kazan church of the Vysha Monastery.
Several of Saint Theophan’s books have been translated into English, and are reliable spiritual guides for Orthodox Christians of today. Saint Theophan’s gift was the ability to present the wisdom of the Fathers in terms which modern people can understand. Since he lived close to our own time, many readers find his books “more approachable” than the earlier patristic literature. He treats the life of the soul and the life of the body as a unified whole, not as two separate elements, and reveals to people the path of salvation.
SAINT THEOSEBIA, THE DEACONESS SISTER OF ST BASIL AND GREGORY OF NYSSA (385)
Tumblr media
Saint Theosebia the Deaconess was the sister of Saints Basil the Great, Gregory, afterward Bishop of Nyssa, and Peter, Bishop of Sebaste. She was a virgin and served the Holy Church as a deaconess, caring for the sick, distributing food to vagrants, raising orphans and preparing women for holy Baptism.
When her brother, Saint Gregory of Nyssa, was in exile for three years, Saint Theosebia was with him and she shared in all the tribulations of a life of wandering. Saint Theosebia died in 385, and Saint Gregory the Theologian praised her in a eulogy.

HEBREWS 9:8-10, 15-23
8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience- 10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you." 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. 23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
JOHN 10:9-16
9I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

meet my oc!
Tumblr media
lovely art of my OC, Ray Asaka, done by @leviiackrman (also if this type of content/oc content in general isn't your thing feel free to ignore this post or unfollow. I don't mind but don't be an asshole about it) - universe: jujutsu kaisen name: ray asaka age: 23 birthday: march 25th, 1994 born: sendai city, japan partner: ryomen sukuna -
Background:
*NOTE: there is an age gap between the two, Ray being 23 and Sukuna being over 1000 years canonically lol, but he looks at least mid-30s.
Ray Asaka was born within a hospital located in Sendai City, Japan and was welcomed into the world by a lovely mother and father. Growing up, Ray was always fascinated with nature and the forest, she'd always be quick to run off and explore which left her mother worried 24/7 and her father just as worried.
As she got older, Ray also grew a curiosity of watching crime/law television which would lead to her studying as a Law Student.
At 23, she found herself with her own apartment while balancing life as a law student! She also doesn't live too far from parents so whenever she finds the time, she'll go and visit them, catch up. However, all of that would change after a slippery car accident winds up killing her bringing her short life to an end....kind of.
When Ray died, it seemed like it was the end for her, that she'd buried in a pit of darkness while her parents struggle and cope with their daughter's death but, the world had other plans it seems because after she died, Ray found herself in a dark place filled with the depths of death and a one powerful being: Ryomen Sukuna, King of Curses.
Sukuna would be the first person Ray would see after, a sinister grin staring down at her, whispering the words: you'll be perfect here. Ray was confused, all she wanted to do was go home and rest after a long day of studying. Her first thought was home, that's what she wanted. After finding out the place she was in belonged to the King of Curses himself, Ray pleaded and begged him to take her back into the world, give her a chance at life. Sukuna would eventually grant the living dead girl that wish in some form....by making her his apprentice, his pawn and eventually, his future lover.
Ray agreed and she became just that: his pawn, a young woman that would become powerful alongside him given the abilities she had to take down whatever enemies Sukuna had on his mind, he saw her potential and he liked it, he liked her. loved her.
The abilities given to Ray were aligned with death itself, those abilities included: Darkness manipulation, Reanimation and Demonic Energy Manipulation, all of which were powerful enough against those that got in her way and they'd be terrified of her for it.
Once Yuji bites the finger of Sukuna, things get a bit awkward considering his life is not only aligned with the Sukuma's but also the young woman's as well considering Sukuna is connected to a teenager's life. Yuji and Ray have seen each other in passing, there'd be some glances or some quick "hello's" here and there but nothing major yet, those subtle passings would be what brought all of this together from Ray's death to Yuji biting the finger.
Yuji winds up keeping her a secret for a while, away from both Megumi and Nobara before eventually revealing her to them. She's also introduced to Gojo as well, someone she sees as a frenemy in a way.
Ray forms interesting dynamics with them, whether they're her frenemies or simply enemies, the dynamics are there but, she still remains loyal to Sukuna as both his pawn and soon, lover.
No matter who she's near, Sukuna is as well. Where she goes, he's right there with her and they make for a terrifying yet powerful duo.
- Some quick fun facts about Ray Asaka:
Her parents own a calico cat, his name is Honey.
Canonically, Sukuna can only take control of Yuji for one minute meaning it's a struggle for him and Ray to be together at times. However, I headcanon that once night hits and Yuji is asleep, Sukuna can take over at times (not always) and that's where most of the moments between him and Ray take place.
Some means Ray enjoys include pasta and lasagna.
Her favorite color is purple.
Ray has three scars that she gets from her death: A scar across her neck, one in the middle of her nose and one next to the corner of her right eye.

Uzushiogakure
Now since I’ve been pulled into the Naruto fandom and have decided to worldbuild Uzushio, I’ll lay out some headcanons of mine and of things I’ve read from fanfics that I absolutely love.
These are specifically for a story I plan to write soon and so some of my worldbuilding is not canon at all. This is specifically made to push the story forward that I want to make.
* When Kaguya initially introduces chakra to the world, the Uzumaki clan already exists in what present day called Uzushio. They are stone workers a few families large that settled there out of a desire to get away from there war torn world. They learned how to navigate the dangerous whirlpools with their ships. Uzushio is settled in a shallow valley ringed by a large volcanic mountain range. The front faces a large bay which is ringed by several large islands.
When chakra settles into the world, a combination of the power of the whirlpools and large basins of magma under the earth draws a larger then usual amount of chakra into the bay, forming the spirit of Uzu. The Uzumaki make contact with the spirit and their souls and all their like-chakra descendants are bonded with the sentient chakra. This make it so that when the Uzumaki die, their spirits are able to stay on the earth until they want to move on. Only the Uzumaki are able to see their spirits, not even branch families that come from the Uzumaki and make their own clans can see the spirits.
With the latent chakra in the air and how much has gathered in the bay, the Uzumaki and the 4 other clans that make up the future Uzushio are granted longevity and vitality, with the Uzumaki living up to 150 year and the other clans, having come later, living to about 120.
The village of Uzushio doesn’t start out as a shinobi village and doesn’t even get that designation until Konoha is established 1000 years down the line as the first Hidden Village. Instead, they consider themselves a Chakra Village. The only people who can live in Uzushio are clans that can use chakra, as the majority of people who live in the elemental regions are civilians because they can’t use chakra. The people of Uzushio use chakra in their daily lives but are generally doing jobs that civilians do in canon, like being merchants, doctors, blacksmiths, fishermen, etc. But all of this is augmented with chakra abilities and seals. These clans that settled here were not separated and were actually called by the spirit of Uzu, who can sense the dispositions of clans and whether they were a good fit for the Uzumaki people. She called 4 clans that could come together to protect each other.
There was only one main clan that started as shinobi before they came to Uzushio in the first 100 years. They settled to be able to raise their children in peace much like they did in Konoha. But as other shinobi clans outside the Land of Eddys developed their own Kekkei Genkai, they found that their singular abilities was not enough to protect the merchants and clan civilians that wanted to travel as well as fulfill the daimyo and nobles requests. So they offered to train any person who wanted to become a shinobi. With this and other clans having already developed clan and chakra abilities and seals but not using them much for combat, the citizens of Uzushio are easily able to add a military side to their Village.
The Uzumaki were not originally royalty. While a daughter of Asura did marry into the clan and their members regularly chosen as the leader or Seiza (named for constellations who the fishermen followed as guides), they did not become royally until a Uzumaki leader married the only heir of the Daimyo. It was then decided that because of the Land of Eddys only extending a few islands past the domain of Uzushio, the roles of Daimyo and Seiza be merged, with the nobles city still existing and having their roles but the center of the government residing within the city of Uzushio. The samurai were appointed to be the guard of the nobles. Thankfully with the Land of Eddy’s being so small, the nobles have a pretty humble disposition for nobles and are rich off of land trade. Eventually as time wore on, the nobility died out and the samurai clans left for other lands. It was from then on that it became normalized for the main line Uzumaki to raise their children as future leaders of Uzushio from childhood.
Uzu has a big role in how Uzushio operates. Not only does she have to approve of the future leader of Uzushio, but she also decides if one is considered a part of Uzushio. While every child has a seal drawn on the bottom of their big toe at birth as to be able to recognize another Uzushioian by touching them, Uzu inhabits the space of Uzushio from the mountain range to the islands borders, below the seas and above. She also is connected to every body of water connected to the ocean. So even if a Uzushioian dips their toe in a stream in Kiri, if it’s connected to the ocean, Uzu can detect their innermost intentions. So if one marked with the seal but plans betray another Uzushioian, their seal is wiped away from their body and they are no longer considered part of Uzushio.
Thats all for now. I’ll probably explain in further depth who the clans are and other smaller details of Uzushio and it’s culture. But it could go on for awhile.

My Favorite Disgaea Characters (and why they're so awesome!)
Tumblr media
((Taking a small break from the Disgaea 7 DLC Episodes to talk about this. Now that I finished Disgaea 7's main story, I feel like it's time to get into who are my actual favorite characters in the franchise. Unlike when I talked about my least favorite when I only covered one per game, here I'll go over multiple characters across multiple titles, but still in no particular ranking order.
Tumblr media
Let's start off with who everyone already knows would be featured on this list, Adell. I've always been a fan of this guy ever since the original Disgaea 2 and seeing him in other titles practically a guaranteed way to put a smile on my face (as well as my money taken away). One of the things that really won me over is his awesome moveset across the games, especially the ever evolving vulcan blaze (although it's not quite as awesome in D6 and D7 right now). Combine that with his evilities and you got one of the most broken playable characters in the titles. In terms of personality, he's one of the more serious characters in a franchise known for its chaos, which is interesting since he's meant as NIS parody take on a Shonen Protagonist, though granted even he has his moments. Always does his best to keep his promise no matter the cost and does whatever he can to help provide for his family, in my eyes Adell is number 1.
Tumblr media
Next up is the main character of Disgaea 5, Killia. NIS literally designed Killia to be Adell's polar opposite in terms of both personality and element. So instead of a passionate, hot blooded individual, we have someone who's more calm, cool, and collected, representing his ice element... unless if we're talking about cooking. Like Adell, he's one of the more serious characters in this series, and he's often self conscious about it, often questioning on what he could do to stand out more, which I find hilarious. But I think what really won me over though is the fact that despite his backstory, he doesn't come across as too edgy for my liking. He's more like a cool older brother that's willing to help out if he needs to, but at the same time will put his foot down when he notices shenanigans.
Tumblr media
The fact that it took until Disgaea RPG to come out to finally get Demon Lord Hanako again is criminal in my opinion. Regular Hanako is alright, but the Demon Lord version of her from the future is no joke. We're talking about someone powerful enough to take on both Gig and Pram at the same time with help from other fighters like Ash, Almaz, Sapphire, and Dark Eclair! I need to know what Etna did to her to make her this broken in 10 years!
Tumblr media
Speaking of Sapphire Rhodonite, she is without a doubt one of my favorite princesses in all of gaming. Don't get me wrong, so far I haven't met anyone that topped Sonia Blanche from Shining Resonance yet, but Sapphire is up there. This lady is a powerhouse that got so sick of watching everyone die for her that she trained herself to become a killing machine to protect her kingdom. Out of all the soldiers in her kingdom, she ended up having a crush on a regular guardsman because he was the only one who still saw some humanity in her after her mother died. She wasted no time and married said guardsman at the end of the game! Willingly goes after overlords herself just to make sure they don't get the chance to kidnap her later down the line! She a keeper!
Tumblr media
Might as well jump straight to Disgaea 7 to talk about another powerhouse baddie being Higan! When she first appeared in the game, she gave the game's Void Dark look alike 1000 years of death before taking off with his infernal treasure, which is a spear. Keep in mind, she's primarily a swordmaster that taught Fuji almost everything she knew and started using spears just because she was bored. Infernal Treasures pick their wielders and she just got accepted right off the bat. She eats so many sweets every day, she basically puts Stocking Anarchy on fraud alert. She's this game's definition of tough love, as while she's aggressive and extreme when it comes to fighting and training, she's also looking out for the best for her peers. Plus that scene where she wins back cash for the party is hilarious and makes me wonder how fast she would clear Sae's Palace if she was in Persona 5.
Tumblr media
Mr Champloo has always been my absolute favorite character in Disgaea 3. When it comes to characters that turn cooking into a way of life, before there was Killia, we had this guy. Once again, the fact that Champloo and Killia never had a cooking battle to this day is beyond criminal! Come ON NIS! You give us a cooking battle between Fenrich and Pirilika and not this absolute gold mine waiting to happen?! I do love his relationship with Almaz in 3 as the reason Almaz calls him master is because he's helping Almaz on his path to become a better person in his own way. He's not teaching Almaz how to cook, but he's using cooking metaphors to get his point across.
Tumblr media
Yukimaru's another character I really want to see more of in later titles. Yeah, I know she and Fubuki got a cameo in 7, but that ain't enough! Fun fact, Yukimaru in her Kimono outfit during the Sardine Festival event was the reason why I started playing Disgaea RPG in the first place. I just love how sweet and polite she is, a trained ninja given a mission to kill an overlord but doesn't like fighting unless she has to. Yet her Xeno version is Xeno Flonne's right hand girl and her top assassin! It would be cool to have Yukimaru go around acting like a bodyguard to Adell and Rozalin considering she swore her blade to them.
Tumblr media
Out of the original Disgaea Trio, Flonne has to be my personal favorite. She doesn't let rumors that she hears in Celestia cloud her judgement when it comes to meeting new people. She goes out of her way to learn about them and experience their culture herself. Even in areas where she thinks she's the expert at like love, she's still learning as evident when Laharl's mother explained why she doesn't hug and say goodbye to him before she reincarnates into her new life, or when Don Joaquin told her that his spirit can move on despite losing to Laharl because he didn't hold back in their battle. Her overworking Artina as an archangel does need to be stopped though. Honestly, part of me wished NIS went with the idea of keeping Flonne in the Netherworld and have her work as a teacher to young demons instead of her becoming an angel again.
Tumblr media
Pirilika is adorable in every sense of the word, I swear. She's basically the Disgaea 7 version of flonne considering that she's a massive otaku and her willingness to see the good everyone around her. It's also thanks to her that we know what happens when you spoil your prinnies. You basically de-combat them where they have to take on secretary like roles in order to atone for their sins and potentially make them targets of envious prinnies. Valvatorez would not approve. That being said, I don't think I've ever seen or heard about a CEO this innocent. She doesn't splurge her money to everyone as bad as Misedor (though she's definitely up there), she does go out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of and treats everyone to her own cooking. I'd work for her in a heartbeat.
Tumblr media
And sticking with Disgaea 7 is Ceefore. Yeah, all 3 of the leading ladies in this game were hits for me. At first, she reminded me of Yuffie from Final Fantasy 7, considering that she started off helping out the main party, only to ditch them later on because she was helping out her home. At the end of the day, she's just an eccentric otaku who wants to make some friends after spending most of her life isolated in Celestia since she can see spirits that others can't. I'm convinced that her giving masks that turns everyone into prinnies was a reference to Shido's palace in Persona 5, but I could be wrong. She is a phantom thief after all. Her ultimate skill is more busted than Pleinair's because it has infinite range! Any stage with a boss will be cleared in seconds the moment she activates it. Kinda wish they gave her a persona to really bring it home.
And these are just a few of my personal favorites in the series so far. Who are yours?))

Ruin was an amazing villain, but he could’ve done more. The way Sanderson wrote the scope of his actions has Ruin feeling mediocre compared to Preservation's grand plans, despite Preservation dying for millennia unlike Ruin.
One of the flaws I have with The Hero of Ages is that Ruin didn’t manipulate the kandra. I understand he’s a god trying to destroy the world, but he TAUGHT Rashek how to use Hemalurgy. Ruin was essentially responsible for creating kandra. And we saw how efficiently he controlled koloss and Inquisitors, and those who’ve had spikes for exponentially less time.
IMO the kandra should’ve been his pawns throughout their 1000 years of life, manipulated in a similar way as TLR and Vin. I imagine he could influence the Generations to grow more complacent and KanPaar to start a revolt. Even if the kandra still pull out their spikes (which makes no sense imo), at least this enhances the threat of Ruin. We canonically know that Ruin was responsible for manipulating Shezler and fabricating fake stories, in order to lead Kelsier to the Eleventh Metal's existence. Why not take it a step further, and have Ruin lead OreSeur into Kelsier's rebellion. He could even mold OreSeur and TenSoon into rebellious kandra, and explicitly manipulate Zane into a position that would goad chaotic situations and Vin.
I was discussing with a friend about Ruin’s influence on the world of Scadrial, and we agreed that Ruin should’ve done more with his Apocalypse. It would’ve been better if Ruin enveloped Scadrial in more natural disasters - floods, hurricanes, more earthquakes, tsunamis, thunderstorms, blizzards etc… Granted, it’s possible Ruin didn’t create more natural disasters because he wants humanity alive to benefit his search for atium. But if that was the case, Sanderson should've made it clearer.
I've realized that Ruin’s nigh-omniscience seems more limited than it should. The amateur Vin could sense the humans that are within the storage caverns, and hear Elend's voice from the Trustwarren. The amateur Sazed could sense the inhabitants within the metal-covered Trustwarren and storage caverns, protect them and move them around. According to a WoB he healed everyone in them. I know that Ruin could probably see through places like Fadrex's cavern, considering he interacted with Vin, But it sounds… off that Ruin couldn’t sense his atium, or at least not be aware of the Kandra Homeland.
Also, I'm not sure I like that Ruin’s personality is mainly a representation of death and entropy. I understand he’s supposed to be a force of change, so I wish his actions showed a side focused on change. We know he guided Kelsier towards crafting his rebellion, so he could’ve been responsible for other rebellions throughout history. The Crescent and Remote Dominances, and the Southern islands, seems to have been outside of Empire control. So Ruin could’ve taught them how to make advancements in technology. Since he’s a being of change, perhaps his goals could remain the same but his _personality_ is more neutral and calmer than canon. I don’t think Ruin is truly malicious, but his gloating(ugh) comes across that way.
Alternatively, he could've been just as destructive as canon, while intelligently planning things out to achieve multiple avenues for death. Manipulate people into destroying kingdoms and empires in the past, advance technology to breed war, create brand new Hemalurgic constructs after his release etc... There are so many avenues Sanderson could've taken for Ruin to consistently be this competent, subtle schemer he was during Alendi's era and WoA.
And according to Cosmere fans I've talked with, Ruin is one of the worst Shards at seeing the future. I have a big problem with that. Ruin is supposed to hasten and represent the inevitabilities of death and entropy and change. Preservation only wants to keep the universe the same. Even if Ruin is worse at precognition there shouldn’t be a big gap. Not only that, but he was surely setting up long-term and impossible to track schemes centuries in advance, like the Eleventh Metal fabrications and warping the Terris Prophecies. So he must've been seeing into the future to make them possible.
I know there's something something Secret History, something something Intent. But I can only take so much BS from a main antagonist before their threat feels neutered. Though I can’t speak about the other Shards until I read more. I've read Elantris and The Emperor's Soul, so I can at least see Devotion and Dominion being better at future sight than Ruin. Hopefully there are Shards that justify Brandon’s perspective on Ruin’s precognition.

The water is only knee deep.
Well I haven’t written a long, rambling post about my life in awhile, so here we go.
Right now, my life has a level of stability that is truly unprecedented.
When I moved to Detroit for grad school and was suddenly away from my family and their drama, I found myself in a much more stable environment than I had ever been, and it was unfamiliar and uncomfortable. I reacted by causing my own chaos, because at the time I only felt normal if I was in fight or flight mode. Hence the years of stitches and hospitalizations and all that jazz.
Now, though, I am in a very stable place and I don’t feel compelled to ruin it. I feel like...instead of getting knocked over again and again by crashing waves, I am standing up in the water and realizing it’s only knee deep. I’m surveying my surroundings for the first time because I’m finally not struggling to keep my head above water.
This is what I see.
Getting my pharmacist license back is going to require paying my fine and probably getting a lawyer as well as acquiring documentation from my therapist that says I am now stable enough to practice pharmacy. That will not be a problem, she is 100% on my side. My sister will be a lawyer in a year so I have that covered. I will not have $1000 in a year, but I should get a decent tax refund this year that I can put towards it.
But! I do not know if I want to go back to pharmacy. Retail pharmacy is soul sucking. Telling old people they can’t have their anticoagulant unless they have $200/month, telling people they can’t have inhalers or insulin unless they pay...it’s unethical, frankly, and I won’t do it. Hospital pharmacy would be a better fit, but that generally requires a residency and I absolutely can’t even afford to apply for residency especially since I know that with my record, I wouldn’t match.
There’s a certificate in medical writing I want to start working on, but I can’t get financial aid and I can’t afford even one class a semester. But medical writing would be a good fit for me--I understand clinical research, I enjoy writing, and I am good at breaking things down so people can understand them. But, money. Always money.
I applied for a recently-opened lead position at my current job, and the pay bump would be nice, but it’s still only part time. That said, I really enjoy what I do there and I love my coworkers. It’s low stress and no one throws things at me. I would absolutely abandon pharmacy to pursue a career in museums, but it’s such a hard industry to break into. There's a gulf between customer service at a museum and the curators/designers/science folks, and it is huge and impassable.
My sister is giving me more responsibility at the library. I’m going to start running an adult book/movie club in September in addition to running monthly teen nights. I’m doing a murder mystery night in October as well, and the annual trunk or treat. I’m going to be working 5-6 days a month instead of the 1-2 that I have been, so I’ll have a little extra money. I really enjoy working on library programming, I love coming up with ideas for programs and then making them into reality. I’ve looked at finishing my MLIS, but my credits expired last year and I think I’d have to start over. But in Michigan, you don’t really need an MLIS to be a high-ranking library employee, and my sister says she thinks I would make a great director once I get some more management experience under my belt. She’s going to teach me the secrets of grant writing and she’s working with me about learning how to report our data to the state for state aid. I think working in libraries could be extremely fulfilling. I’ve toyed with the idea of sending a resume off to the local medical school library to see if they need an assistant.
One of my goals for therapy when I switched therapists in January was that I wanted to be able to make a firm commitment to staying alive. I’ve always felt very ambivalent about the future. I wasn’t sure there would be anything in the future worth sticking around for. Now I realize I need to make those things myself. I think I finally am committed to staying alive. I still go down suicidal, life-is-meaningless, I wish I was dead spirals, but they don’t last too long. Idk, maybe it’s the Prozac. Maybe it’s working jobs that don’t make me hate myself. Maybe it’s having a life that’s predictable enough that I can actually plan for the future.
For the first time in my life, I don’t feel the urge to run and leave everything and everyone behind. I’m letting myself form relationships with people that actually mean something to me. I sometimes still feel like if I disappeared, nothing in the world would change, but mostly I’m starting to see the worth in myself that other people keep insisting is there. I’m treating myself better. Trying to rest, trying to be creative daily, putting my needs before other peoples’ wants.
I don’t want to say I’m happy, because I don’t want to jinx it, but I am content most of the time. I whine and complain a lot, but that’s just who I am as a person; a whiny baby. When I go to bed at night, I no longer wish to die in my sleep. I don’t pray to get hit by a bus or a car or an asteroid anymore. And you know, maybe that will change. Maybe things will get dark again. Right now, I feel okay about that, too. I’m just enjoying my quiet little life and not bracing myself for the next catastrophe. It might come, it might not, but that doesn’t mean that right now, this moment, needs to be rushed.

The Biden administration and Speaker McCarthy managed to hash out a budget deal over the weekend, but it still has to pass congress and both sides aren't particularly pleased with it. The deal suspends the debt limit for two years, but as a concession there have to be cuts in all discretionary, nondefense spending. This includes the IRS, the budget of which Biden wanted to increase to go after wealthy taxpayers who aren't paying. It also adds work requirements for food stamps, releases several billion set aside for COVID, ends the freeze on student loans, and allows the construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline. I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about the budget in general because all this wrangling doesn't really touch on the biggest problem the US is facing. We can divide the budget between mandatory, discretionary, and interest. Interest is about 8% and is payment for all the borrowing. Discretionary is about 30% and is basically add ons that aren't required by law, like wanting to buy more tanks, have some studies on wildlife, or federal funding for public schools. Mandatory holds the biggest chunk at 63%, and that's where the issue is. The US spends almost half of its budget on medicare/medicaid and social security, and it's going to get worse as people age and have less children. For example, my father received about $2500/month in social security, and in the last three years of his life probably burned through $500K of medicare. That's a lot of taxes for just one person. Considering the birth rate is going down, there will be even less people to fill the pot of money required to pay those benefits, and the US will have to borrow even more to cover the difference. There are a lot of ways to solve this--the most obvious is raise the retirement age to 68--but any move is extremely unpopular and neither Republicans nor Democrats want to address it, so they just haggle over the discretionary stuff instead.
In probably the most important election of the year, Turkish President Erdogan won another five-year term. The first round on May 14th was close, so by Turkish law a second round happened last Sunday. However the results remained very close because his popularity sank due to economic issues and the response to the earthquake earlier this year.
Russia has continuously been bombarding Kiev. Yesterday a drone strike hit Moscow, but with only minimal damage.
The Sudanese army suspended its ceasefire talks and fighting is flaring up again.
The Sackler family was granted shielding from current or future civil lawsuits over the opioid crisis in return for $6B. Perdue Pharma is one of the major players in pushing its pain medication and kicking off a massive opioid crisis in the US from the 2000s until today. Perdue was sued to the point of bankruptcy for its role, but its owners the Sacklers were also targeted, and whether they're personally liable or not has been languishing in the courts for years until now.
The Texas legislature voted to impeach its AG, Ken Paxton. He has been accused of securities fraud, bribery, using his office to help friends (he's being impeached for this offense), and stealing a $1000 pen on camera. He entered national news in 2020 when he brought a case to the Supreme Court to ask it to change the swing states from Biden to Trump, which is an insane and completely nonsensical request legally, (note: the following is speculation) and the gossip at the time was he was looking to ingratiate himself to Trump for a presidential pardon because there was no other reasonable explanation for that action.

Continuity Note: This story This story takes place about 1000 years before  66 years after  1000 years before the events of Dragon Ball Z.
[2 February, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
Luffa was not the Legendary Super Saiyan, but she still remembered another time, another life, when she was the Legendary Super Saiyan.  That life, that time was over.
In that other lifetime, at the age of nineteen, Luffa achieved the mythical status after enduring a horrific ordeal at the hands of the Tikosi.  After dispatching her father, Orij, who betrayed her to the Tikosi, she began her Super Saiyan career by hunting down her husband, Kandai, who had sold their unborn child to the Saiyan King, Rehval III, for study.  Luffa found a measure of solace with her second marriage to Zatte, the former captain of the Dorlun militia, and their friends: the young Dorlun Keda, the arachnoid physician, Dr. Topsas, the Yetitan Wampaaan'riix, and later on, the fortuneteller, Dotz.
That all came to an end when Luffa became embroiled in a conflict with the Saiyan Kingdom, which culminated in a final showdown on Planet Nagaoka.  Luffa used the light of the full moon to combine her Super Saiyan form with the Oozaru form, and ended up destroying the entire planet.  She had expected to die along with her enemies, but then she was rescued by the Time Patrol, a band of warriors from the distant future.  They recruited her to help them defend time itself, only to fall before the ancient Demon sorcerer, Demigra.
Demigra had triumphed by destroying the Time Nest, and along with it, the Scroll of Eternity, which contained the entirety of history.  But he had saved a small piece of it, and offered it as a cession to Luffa, the only other survivor of the old universe.  Luffa, it seemed, was the one foe he could not take for granted.  For the Time Patrol had used the Dragon Balls to wish for an ally, and Demigra feared that the wish, granted literally, could mean that Luffa was somehow destined to thwart Demigra's plans.  Unwilling to put that to the test, he offered her a truce.  If she agreed not to oppose him in his plans to create a new history, then he would allow her to live peacefully in the last remnant of the old history, a world where she never became the Super Saiyan.
And so, Luffa was nineteen again, a mere Saiyan housewife in a family of mercenaries, stationed on Dorlu Prime.  The Tikosi had not yet carried out their massacre of the colony, and this time-- thanks to Demigra's intervention-- they never would.   Thanks to his magic, the Tikosi had all turned upon one another and they were all dead.  Orij's betrayal would never take place, and Luffa could live her life over again, without the trauma that had changed everything.
*******
[3 February, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
Technically, Luffa was still thinking it over.  There was a Scroll of Eternity lying in a cabinet in her living quarters on Dorlu Prime.  According to Demigra, if she opened the scroll, it would bring her to the Crack of Time, where Demigra was busy preparing his new history.  Once there, Luffa could renew hostilities, and Demigra would accept the risk of a final showdown.
*******
[6 February, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
Technically, Luffa was still thinking it over.  She could use the scroll at any time, so there was no need to rush.  She had missed Dorlu Prime, and its dull, dreary scenery was a perfect place to recuperate and plan.  If she chose to fight Demigra again, she could do it on her own terms.  Here, she could consider strategy, or even train for the fight.  And the longer she waited, the more surprised Demigra would be when she finally rejected his offer.
*******
[14 February, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
Technically, Luffa was still thinking it over.  After the second week, she decided to return Kandai's affections.   In the former timeline, Kandai had gone along with her father's betrayal, but in this world, the Tikosi were all dead, and so Orij's scheme was undone before it could ever truly begin.  Luffa had been uneasy around Kandai, but she also discovered how much she had missed him.  And it was hard to hold a grudge against him for something he hadn't done yet.    Luffa told herself it was to keep up appearances, so no one would notice that anything unusual about her behavior.  That she happened to enjoy the way he would plant his hands on her sides was immaterial.
*******
[19 February, 238 Before Age. Dorlu Prime.]
Technically, Luffa was still thinking it over.  She had kept a professional distance from Zatte during this time, hoping not to complicate things after that impulsive kiss they had shared.  They had been married in the former timeline, but that was still years away.  It would take time to transition away from Kandai and towards her true love, but Luffa had tipped her hand.  For her part, Zatte seemed to respect Luffa's embarrassment over the incident, but it still changed their friendship.  Things would be awkward for a while, but in the end, it wouldn't matter.
*******
[27 February, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
Technically, Luffa was still thinking it over.
Practically, she had been so busy making plans that she hadn't given much thought to Demigra, or the scroll, or the Time Patrol.   With the Tikosi dead, life on the colony was different, and everyone was figuring out what to do next.  Everyone except Luffa's father, who had been plotting with the Tikosi all along.
Ever since he learned of their extinction, Orij had been despondent.  The Dorluns had agreed to extend their contract with the Saiyan mercenaries, long enough to verify that the Tikosi were truly dead, but this would only confirm what he already knew.  And so, while everyone else prepared for the future, Orij was left to wonder how things had gone so wrong.  No one knew that he had been secretly conspiring with the Tikosi, and so no one really understood what was bothering him.
No one but Luffa, and she had no sympathy for his loss.
She had more important people in her life to worry about.
*******
[1 March, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime.]
"What's on Plutark VII, Luffa?"
The Dorluns had a communications array for contacting other planets and starships in deep space.  It rarely saw much use, since the Dorluns preferred to keep to themselves.  Today, Luffa sat at the controls, while Keda watched her with great interest.
"Just some friends of mine," Luffa explained.  "I think you'd like them too.  If I can ever get ahold of them on this thing, I might invite them over.  Introduce you."
"Your dad left today, didn't he?" Keda asked, still eyeing the controls.  She reached for one of the translucent plastic buttons that was glowing green.
Luffa brushed Keda's fingers away before she could touch it.  "Hey, I told you to be careful with this stuff," she said.  "Governor Coyto will put us both in jail if you break it."
"Nuh-uh," Keda said.  "You'd just bust out."
"Yeah, well what makes you think I'd take you with me when I escaped?" Luffa asked.   "Nah, never mind.  I guess I owe you, kid."
"Owe me for what?" Keda asked.
Keda had infiltrated the Tikosi Hiveworld and eventually rescued Luffa from their clutches.   Luffa had felt indebted to her ever since.  She couldn't explain that to the child, since those events had not happened yet, and never would.
"Never mind," Luffa finally said.  "Just don't touch any of these controls.  I can't get through to Plutark today, but I might have better luck tomorrow... so I can't have you messing around with this stuff and breaking it, all right?"
"Okay," Keda said.
It felt surreal to tell Keda not to touch any of the equipment, since Luffa had seen an older, more capable Keda operate most of a starship by herself.  Luffa had shown her much of the basics, and Keda had learned from a few others, but she was mostly self-taught.  She even had a knack for figuring out the controls on other ships with unfamiliar configurations.  It would probably only take a few days for her to figure out how to operate the Dorluns' communication array, but there were more experienced technicians in the colony, and the need for Keda to learn such things never came up.
It was better this way, Luffa told herself.  Here, Keda could just concentrate on being a kid.  She could live her life the way she was meant to, without being a sidekick for the Legendary Super Saiyan.
"What about your dad?" Keda asked.
"What about him?" Luffa said, still looking over the readouts on the monitors.
"He left," Keda said.  "This morning.  Kandai took him up in your ship, and then he came back without him.  He said he dropped him off someplace."
"Yeah, they salvaged a Tikosi ship during their last run," Luffa said.   "Father's going off to do his own thing, but we still need our ship, so he'll be operating out of the Tikoshi ship from now on."
"Forever?" Keda asked.
Luffa shrugged.  "Who knows? He might trade it in for something better.  That's his problem now."
"No, I mean, he's not coming back?" Keda asked.
"I told him I was thinking about going solo," Luffa said.  "Turns out Kandai wants to tag along.  That leaves Father on his own, so he decided to move on."
"Didn't you want to say goodbye?" Keda asked.
"Not really," Luffa said coldly.  "I said everything I needed to say to him already."
That was true enough, though Luffa didn't want to explain the details to Keda.  Luffa alone knew the truth about her father's scheme, though she couldn't confront him, since she lacked the power to defeat him if he chose to fight.   It was better this way.  He secretly feared Luffa's potential, and without the Tikosi to help him exploit it, he was eager to get as far from his daughter as he could.  And that suited Luffa as well.  If they ever did meet again, she planned to be ready for him.
Still, she could tell from Keda's expression that the youth was not satisfied with this, and so Luffa reached out and patted her on the shoulder.
"It's fine," Luffa said.  "I can always contact him if I need to talk to him.  But right now I've got more important things to worry about."
"Like what?" Keda asked.  Luffa couldn't help but smile.  She had learned long ago that there was no way to stop Keda from asking questions, but one could distract her with new questions.
"Like confirming that you and your people are truly safe," Luffa said.  "And if the Tikosi really are gone, then we can start to plan for the future..."
*******
[6 March, 238 Before Age.  Tikosi Hiveworld.]
The planet was just like Luffa remembered it.  From orbit, the Tikosi Hiveworld looked like a large ball of mud.  There was some sparse vegetation, but no farms or roads or any other sign of civilization.   The Tikosi kept these hidden beneath earthen fortifications.  Like ants and termites on many other planets, the Tikosi dwelled in underground tunnels, but their advanced technology allowed them to remain hidden indefinitely.  They grew food in hydroponic vats, drew energy from geothermal taps, and maintained their fleet of spaceships in vast hangars constructed under hollow mounds of dirt.  An unsuspecting visitor would easily mistake it for an uninhabited world, and by the time that visitor got close enough to the surface to realize the truth, it would be far too late to escape.
"Hard to believe it was so close to us," Zatte said as they walked across the barren surface.  "I mean, thirty light-years isn't close, but still..."
"Surprised the hell out of me too," Kandai said from a few steps behind her.  "We passed through this system a few times, and I thought it might make a decent base, but the scans showed nothing unusual.  Well, nothing unusual then.  But now...well, you can tell this placed used to be inhabited."
As he said this, he stepped over the half-burned corpse of a Tikosi adult.  Its broken exoskeleton shattered under the weight of his bootheel.   All around them, thousands of bodies just like it lay scattered around the city.  The earthworks that had once covered the area were now partially collapsed.   The western edge of the city was still shaded by a partial dome of dried mud, while chunks of dirt lay in the streets in the center.  On the eastern side, the dome had collapsed completely, burying countless Tikosi underneath.
Not far from their position, a column of smoke wafted out of a wrecked machine.  This odor, combined with that of the Tikosi casualties, was what stirred Luffa's memories the most.  As she surveyed the ruined world, she could only compare the devastation to the carnage she had wrought when she first transformed in the Legendary Super Saiyan.   She had managed to restrain herself from slaughtering all of the Tikosi in that reality, but she had destroyed most of their warriors and infrastructure that day.  Seeing them all dead wasn't all that different.
She hung behind Kandai and Zatte, glaring at the scenery without really seeing anything.  She already knew what had happened here.  All that really mattered was letting the Dorluns confirm it for themselves.
"Over here," Kandai said.  He gestured to a pair of Tikosi bodies lying in the doorway of a partially collapsed building.  Each Tikosi had four arms, and all eight of their hands were still locked around each other in a death struggle.
Zatte drew closer, and knelt down to examine the bodies.  "Interesting," she said.  She pointed at a hole that passed through the thorax of one corpse and continued on into the head of the other.
"We found a lot of them like this," Kandai said.  "They died at each other's throats.  Literally.  Looks like a third bug must have snuck up on them while they were fighting, and took them both out with a plasma rifle."
Zatte had reached the same conclusion, and was already looking around to find the shooter.   "There," she said, pointing to another structure nearby.
Luffa was staring off into the horizon when she heard Zatte snapping her fingers.
"Hey.  Hey, dummy," she said.  "Wake up, will you?"
"Huh?" Luffa asked.
"Clear away that debris, will you?" Zatte asked with a grin.  "I want to check for something."
"Debris?  Oh."
Zatte was pointing at a collapsed building behind Luffa.  It only took a moment for her to hold out her hands and produce a burst of force that scattered the clumps of dirt in all directions.  Much of it was knocked away in large pieces, while the rest was pulverized into dust, which hung in the air like an ominous orange cloud.  What remained was a much shallower pile of dirt, and the remains of several Tikosi corpses that had lain underneath.
"There it is," Zatte said.  She headed for the site of the former building, patting Luffa on the shoulder as she passed her.
"Something bugging you, Luffa?" Kandai asked.
"No," she said.  "I was just distracted, that's all."
"She misses her grill, that's all," Zatte said as she sifted through the dirt.
"Yeah, I should have known," Kandai said.  "Not that I mind the company, but it kind of sucks that you won't have dinner ready for us when we get back."
"Got it!" Zatte said, raising a dusty weapon from the debris.  A Tikosi hand was still clinging to the handle, and she had to wrestle it free before standing up.   She wiped off the metal surface of her prize, then inspected it.
"Now how did she know where to find that?" Kandai asked.
"She's more formidable than you might think," Luffa said.  The truth was that each Dorlun had a special ability, which the colonists had kept secret from the Saiyan mercenaries.  Luffa had only learned of this later on, when Keda had used her own ability to help save her from the Tikosi in the old reality.   Zatte's power was revealed to Luffa months later.   She could manipulate different forms of energy, and this gave her certain perception that Saiyan senses couldn't match.  A plasma rifle had no ki signature, but Zatte could locate the power cell inside the rifle quite easily, if she was tuned to its particular energy patterns.
"This one shot the other two," Zatte concluded.  They were rolling around that spot over there, and this one stood right about here, and..."
She leveled the weapon, and fired it at the pair of corpses, then walked over to inspect the new hole she had put in them.
"Burn pattern's consistent," she said.  "I might have suspected an enemy of stealing their weapons to cover their tracks, but seeing all of this... it's pretty clear they turned on each other."
"That's what I said from the start," Kandai told her.   "Hmmph.  'Formidable'."
"Oh, she's pretty handy with a rifle like that," Luffa said.  "I bet she could take you out without too much trouble."
"Yeah?" Kandai said.  "How about it, Captain?  You think so?"
Zatte aimed the rifle at his chest as she considered it.  "I'd need a few hundred yards for safety," she said.  "And a better scope.  But yeah, if you weren't on your guard, Kandai, I think I could put you down."
Luffa couldn't help but chuckle at this.  In the old reality, Zatte had shot Kandai while he was busy trying to kill Luffa.  It was surreal to see the two of them getting along so well.  It had been like this before.   Zatte and Kandai were never close, but they got along reasonably well.   Luffa just hadn't appreciated the rapport between them until now.
Kandai laughed as well.  "I can see why you two are so close," he said to Luffa.  "While I've been out with your dad, you two were back on Dorlu Prime plotting against me."
"It's nothing personal, Kandai," Zatte said.  "I have to be prepared for anything."
She checked the Tikosi rifle and removed its power cell, then tossed them both to the ground.
"I'm satisfied," Zatte finally said.  "Governor Coyto still wants me to take aerial recordings of the planet's surface, maybe find one of their computers, but at this point I think that's just a formality.   Everything you told us checks out, Kandai.  I can't imagine why the Tikosi turned against each other like this, but they're definitely all dead.  If Coyto wants to know more, that's his call, but it's a job for a forensics team, not mercenaries like you two."
"Good," Kandai said.  "Nice to see there's at least one of you blue people that listens to me once in a while."
"It never hurts to verify these things," Zatte said.   "Our species didn't last this long by being reckless.   But we can talk about that on the ride home.  Right now, I just want to get away from this stench.   You mind if I borrow your wife for a little while?"
"Fine, take your pictures for Coyto," Kandai said.  "I'll meet you back at the ship, ladies."
Luffa watched him take off, and kept staring into the distance after he vanished from sight.  At last, Zatte took her by the hand to get her attention.
"You're really out of it today, you know that?" Zatte said.
"Huh?" Luffa asked.
"I need you to fly me over the planet's surface," Zatte said.  "Were you not paying attention?  Maybe I should have had Kandai do it, but it's more fun when you're the one carrying me."
"Right, sure," Luffa said.  She shook her head, and scooped Zatte up in her arms, one hand gripping her knees, the other tucked under Zatte's shoulder.
"Oh," Zatte said.
"What?" Luffa asked.
"I just wasn't expecting this," Zatte said.  "I mean, it's fine.   Uh... really fine, but  uh...."
Luffa grumbled under her breath and leaped into the sky.
*******
[10 March, 238 Before Age.  Interstellar Space.]
"That's right.   'Topsas'.  He runs a clinic in the city.   Yes that's the number I have, but there was no response on the line.  All right.   Okay.  Well, thanks for checking it out for me.  Luffa out."
Luffa pulled off the headset and tossed it onto the deck.  The communications array on Dorlu Prime was more powerful than the one on the Saiyans' ship, but their position relative to Plutark VII was apparently more favorable for interstellar transmissions.  None of that mattered, though, when Dr. Topsas never answered his subspace radio.
She stormed out of the pilothouse and made her way aft to the habitat section.  There, she found Zatte and Kandai sharing a kettle of nutrient tea.
"You should have seen his face!" Kandai said.  "I didn't know their eyestalks could stick out that far!"
Luffa only caught the end of his anecdote, but judging from Zatte's laughter, it must have been very funny.   She still wasn't used to how well the two of them had been getting along, but after four days alone together, it was starting to feel more normal.
"Any luck with that doctor you told us about?" Zatte asked as Luffa approached.
"No," Luffa said.  "He's probably busy with a patient or something.  I may have to go there in person."
"You really think he can score us a better ship than this one?" Kandai asked.
"Trust me," Luffa said.  She hadn't bothered to explain the details to them, since they wouldn't understand.   As far as they knew, Luffa had a contact that could provide them with better transportation.  The truth was that Luffa planned to steal the same star-yacht she had been "awarded" in the former version of reality.  And she planned to reach out to Topsas and Wampaaan'riix while she was there, since she knew they would all be in the same place.   It would be awkward befriending them when they didn't know her yet, but she would figure that out when the time came.
As she passed the small booth where they were sitting, Kandai reached out and took hold of her tail.  "Hey, hold up a second," Kandai said.  "We wanted to talk about some stuff."
Luffa gasped, more from surprise than discomfort, then stepped backward, letting Kandai reel her in until he was sitting beside him.
"I can't believe you two do that," Zatte said.
Luffa had forgotten about it herself until they set out for the Tikosi Hiveworld.  It had been easy to keep her distance before, when she had first arrived in this new reality.  Dorlu Prime offered plenty of ways to be alone, and if she acted strangely on that first day, it wouldn't be so conspicuous.  But now that grace period was over, and she faced greater scrutiny aboard a small ship with two people who knew her so well.  Fortunately, she found it was getting easier to fall back into the old routines.
"He's just making sure I haven't gone soft," Luffa said with a smirk.  "So what's the big deal?  If this is about dinner, I already told you..."
"I want to come with you guys," Zatte said.
Luffa's jaw dropped.  That had been her plan all along, but she hadn't expected Zatte to just blurt it out in front of Kandai.  She looked over to him, and he smiled.
"We were talking earlier," he said, "and we both realized we had the same idea."
"But it's your show, Luffa," Zatte said.  "I mean, we kind of discussed it the other day, but... well... I didn't want to push for anything."
"Well, I'll push for it," Kandai said.  "I think you should let her join us.  So how about it?"
"Hold on," Luffa said.  She looked at Kandai with one eyebrow raised.   "You're asking me to bring her along?"
"Well sure," Kandai said.  He put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her in closer.   "You're the one who wanted to split off from Orij, Luffa.   This is your caper.  You decide who's on the team, or if there even is a team."
"I just thought... You and Father were so much stronger than me," she said.  "I mean, yeah, it's my plan, but I didn't think you'd be this comfortable letting me call the shots."
"Kandai's a chain-of-command kind of guy," Zatte said.  "So am I.   I'll admit I had my concerns, but hanging out with you two on this mission, I can tell we all work together well.  And Kandai feels the same way."
"She's not much of a warrior by our standards," Kandai said, "but she can handle herself better than most aliens I've met.  And she brings a lot of other skills to the table.  And she's not as squeamish as I thought she'd be.  The other Dorluns, I don't think they'd be too eager to dig around a dead planet full of Tikosi corpses."   He glanced back at Zatte and added: "Uh, no offense."
"None taken," Zatte said.   "That's why I wanted to come along.  Now that the colony is secure, I'm not sure there's much more for me to contribute.   But if I could serve on this ship, I could do some scouting, and maybe identify some potential threats to Dorlu Prime before things got out of hand."
"Of course, that'd mean sticking close to this sector," Kandai  said.  "But we've been using her planet as a base for years anyway.   We just wouldn't be getting paid to stand guard over it."
"I think I can talk Governor Coyto into letting me join your group," Zatte said.  "I'd still have to clear it with the Elders, but I have some ideas to convince them.   So, what do you think, Luffa?"
"You're seriously okay with this?" Luffa asked Kandai.
"Oh, come on, Luffa," Kandai said.   "You girls are best friends, right?  I'd feel bad if I split you two up."
"Riiiight," Luffa said.  She had impulsively kissed Zatte a month ago, and had regretted it ever since.  In this era, Zatte had unrequited feelings for Luffa, which weren't supposed to be requited until much later, after Kandai's betrayal.  But without the Tikosi and Luffa's father, Kandai's betrayal could never happen.  This left her in a very awkward position, one made even more awkward by how well the three of them seemed to be getting along.
"The best," Zatte said with a knowing grin. She winked at her with her right eye, the one Luffa still hadn't gotten used to seeing again, since Zatte originally lost it during the Tikosi attack that was no longer destined to happen.
"Well, let's see how the Dorluns feel about it," Luffa said.  "But if they're okay with it, I mean... sure.  I'd love to have you aboard, Zattie."
"Zattie?" Zatte asked.
"Well she we can't keep calling you 'captain'," Kandai said.  "On a starship, that kind of thing gets confusing."
"Ha-ha... right," Luffa said anxiously.  "Anyway, if you can clear it with your people, then you're welcome here with me... us.   Both of us.  Yeah."
"Great!" Zatte said.  She jumped up from the booth and went to the other side, where she gave Luffa a hug.
"I'm really looking forward to this," she said as she finally released Luffa and reached over to shake Kandai's hand.  "And I won't let you down, I promise."
"She'll hold you to that," Kandai warned Zatte as he pointed at Luffa.  "My wife can get pretty demanding."
"Oh, I know all about that," Zatte said.  "And this time I don't have fifty Dorluns to back me up like I did in those training drills.  Listen, I should get started on my report for the Elders.  Luffa, when you have some time, you mind if I pick your brain about some things?"
"Sure," Luffa said.  "After dinner, maybe."
Luffa waited until she heard the hatch close on Zatte's cabin, then looked up at Kandai.  "You're really okay with this?" she asked.
"You keep asking me that," Kandai said.  "It was my idea.  Well, I guess we all thought of it separately, but that just means we're all in agreement, doesn't it?"
"I just thought you'd object to having an alien on the crew," Luffa said.  "Or you'd have a problem with me splitting off from Father.  Or... having a woman on the ship with us."
"Oh, so that's what this is about," Kandai said.   "Thought I'd get jealous, is that it?"
"Well... are you?" Luffa asked.
"Luffa, you're the one who wanted us to get married," Kandai said.  "You wanted the happy homemaker bit, the litter of brats, and all the rest. I, uh, enjoy your company well enough... uh... well, you know what I mean."
"I hear you," Luffa said.  This was as close to a love declaration as he had ever made.  Sparing him from finishing it was the most honorable way for a Saiyan mate to receive it.
"Right, well... if it ends, it ends.  Personally, I don't think you're the type to run off with some alien chick."  He glanced back in the direction of Zatte's cabin before continuing.   "I mean... I'm not blind.  I see the way you look at her sometimes.  I get it.  Some of those blue women aren't bad at all.   I'm not into their weird colorations, but that why they invented light switches.  It's the lack of tails that I can't get around--"
"Let's try to stay focused here," Luffa chided.
"All I'm saying is I'm not your dad, Luffa.  I worked for him because it was easy money, and his daughter practically threw herself at me.  I know he was real particular about how his ship was run, and he didn't mind using his higher power level to get his way.  Me, I'm more of a follower.  If you and 'Zattie' wanna run the whole show and use me as muscle, I can live with that.   If you want a divorce, I can handle that too.  As long as I'm well paid and well fed, I think I can handle just about anything."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing.   She had always thought of him as more principled, at least somewhat like herself.  That was what made his betrayal hurt so much in the old reality.   But  now, it was clear that she had only ever seen in him what she had wanted to see.   She had been, after all, an idealistic, lovestruck teenager, convinced that she had a duty to marry a proper Saiyan mate and raise a family.   Like her parents had done... or so she had believed at the time.
And she always assumed Kandai was driven by the same duty.  Instead, he was ambivalent enough that he could take or leave their marriage as long as his basic needs were met.
It seemed so obvious now, and yet she had never suspected it before.
"The truth is," Luffa finally said, "that I'm not really sure what I want out of this.  I guess with all the changes we've seen, it's too fluid for me to make up my mind.  Maybe that's why I thought you'd put your foot down on something like this.  In a way, I almost want someone to decide for me."
"Now I don't buy that for a minute," Kandai said, squeezing her tightly in his arm.  "You're just like your old man... well, not just like him, thankfully... but you're too bossy to be indecisive.   But I know you want Zatte on this crew, and she seems up for it, so we might as well play it out and see what happens."
And in that moment, with the quiet thrum of the ship's engines, and his scent filling the air, Luffa found herself remembering just what she had found so attractive about him in the first place.  She had misunderstood him in so many ways, but he was also very pliable and receptive to her ideas.  He would listen to her ramble on in the small hours, and none of her aspirations were too radical for him.  And so, overcome with that affection, she said the most loving thing a Saiyan could say to their mate:
"I'm gonna get dinner started."
*******
[12 March, 238 Before Age.  Dorlu Prime]
"Who is this?"
"I already told you.  My name is Luffa.  I'm a Saiyan.   I wanted to talk to you about the Deathmatch Tournament they're holding on Plutark VII."
After returning to Dorlu Prime, Luffa continued her efforts to raise Plutark VII on the communications array.  At long last, she had finally gotten a response, but her triumph seemed less than satisfying.
"Then you ought to contact the tournament organizers.  Though if you want my advice so badly, then I would counsel you to steer clear of such a competition."
Luffa rolled her eyes and groaned.  The alien on the viewscreen was her old friend, Dr. Topsas.   He looked the same as the last time she had seen him, five years in the future, in another reality.    But Topsas did not recognize her at all, and she had forgotten how blunt and dismissive he could be towards strangers.
"Doc, I'm not looking to enter the tournament.  I wanted to get in touch with one of the participants.  And I happen to know that you provide medical services to the competitors between rounds."
"And how could a little mammal like you possibly know about such things?" Topsas asked.   "Not that I am admitting to anything of the sort, mind you."
The truth was that Luffa had entered the tournament on Plutark VII,  and met Topsas backstage. She had gone to Plutark seeking to test her skills, and the competition had proven very beneficial.  By the time she faced her last opponent, a Yetitan named Wampaaan'riix, she had become so powerful that he was no match for her.  Then she discovered that her Saiyan telepathy had been greatly enhanced, and she decided to test that ability on him.  She had hoped to learn his fighting strategy and nothing more, but instead Luffa ended up learning almost everything about the man: His name, his homeworld, his family and personal history, and his deep regret that he would meet his death at the hands of Luffa.  And so, Luffa was overcome with empathy, and spared the Yetitan's life.
This had greatly upset the tournament organizers, as mercy was against the rules in a Deathmatch Tournament, but their security forces were no match for her, and Luffa convinced them to let the matter drop, in exchange for a star-yacht owned by one of the principal owners of the event.  In time, Luffa's actions on Plutark VII won her the gratitude of not only Wampaaan'riix, for sparing his life, but of Dr. Topsas as well.
"You never approved of the Deathmatches," Luffa said, "but you still felt an obligation to treat the competitors, even knowing they would probably die the same day.   The medical boards all boycotted the events, and threatened to revoke the license of anyone who cooperated with the tournament organizers.  But you worked out a deal to practice there in secret, Doc.  Your pride as a physician would allow for nothing less."
His pedipalps began to tremble in a particular way.   Knowing him as well as she had, Luffa could interpret his body language to some extent.   His arthropodic gestures were impenetrable to most humanoids, but Luffa could tell he was concerned... and curious.
"An interesting story," he said after a short pause.  "But even if it were true, I fail to see why a Saiyan warrior would go to the trouble of blackmailing a doctor."
"I'm not trying to blackmail you, Doc," Luffa said.  "I just wanted to get your attention.  I'm looking for a Yetitan by the name of Wampaaan'riix.  My... sources... tell me he entered this year's tournament.  Chances are, you helped patch him up."
"And what of him?" Topsas asked.
"I have some business with him," Luffa said.   "I'm... not at liberty to say more."
"Ah, of course.  I might have expected something like this," Topsas said ruefully.  "There's a bounty on his head, isn't there?  Or you're looking to avenge some terrible deed he may have committed.  Or perhaps he simply had unpaid debts."
"What?" Luffa asked.  "No, that's not it at all. I just want to--"
But Topsas had heard enough.   "Ms. Luffa, was it?  I am quite busy today, and while this conversation has been very intriguing, I must say that I've had my fill of romance for one afternoon.   The fact of the matter is that your Wampaaan'riix is no longer available for 'business', yours nor anyone else's.  He was pronounced dead yesterday."
"Dead?!" Luffa gasped.  "That... that can't be right!"
"You seemed quite familiar with the Deathmatch Tournament a moment ago," Topsas said.   "Were you unaware of the rules? The competitors fight to the death, and the winners go on to face one another, until there is only one survivor.   Your friend did enter the tournament, and he did not win.   Therefore..."
"But that's impossible!" Luffa said.  "He won every round until--!"
It suddenly hit her like a bolt of lightning.  Wampaaan'riix had won every round before facing Luffa.  She had simply assumed that he would have continued winning, if she hadn't been in the bracket.
But in the old reality, she had stopped the entire tournament.  Dr. Topsas had been very grateful to her for this, but she had only done it because the tournament organizers had dared to oppose her, and she found fighting them to be more amusing than the scheduled opponents.  In that version of history, the Tournament was canceled, and Luffa never found out who would have been her next opponent, or the one after that.
And while Wampaaan'riix would have made it that far in this new reality, there was no telling how he would have fared in the later rounds.
No.   That wasn't true.  There was telling.   Dr. Topsas was telling her right now.
"He... he can't be dead..." Luffa said.   "He had wives... and children..."
"So I had assumed," Topsas said.   "I have, of course, contacted the Yetitan authorities to inform the next of kin--"
"This can't be right," Luffa said.   She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes, but she was too upset to care.   "It can't."
Topsas sighed.  "I recognize that you soldier-for-hire types are notoriously stubborn about these matters," he said.  "You are, of course, welcome to come to Plutark VII, where you can view his death certificate in person.  A waste of time, I should think, but alas, it is your time to waste."
Her dear friend was dead, and Dr. Topsas, who had been like a second father to her, was talking to her like she was a bothersome nuisance.    She didn't know what to say, or even what she was feeling.  And so, she didn't bother trying to express herself to him.  She simply terminated the call, and let the video monitor go blank.  Dr. Topsas could resume his practice.    The 'little mammal' would trouble him no further.
For a long while, Luffa sat alone in the Dorlun communication center.   She did not move, and so the sensor in the room deactivated the lights.  It was a device intended to conserve power, typical for the ever-cautious Dorluns.  There was only the light from the consoles, and the long, murky shadows they cast from Luffa's figure in the chair.
"I spared him," she finally said.  "I never imagined..."
As she wept, she stared down at her black fingerless gloves.   Between the dim, multi-colored lights, and the tears in her eyes, her hands were little more than indistinct blurs.
They began to tremble.

And we’re into April so my March wrap is here! Part 1 because I read so many things this month :)
Tumblr media
Damage (1994) issues 1-4
Dates Read: March 2, March 4, March 15
Review: 4 stars (issue 1) 3 stars (all others)
Thoughts: I’ve read some of Damage’s solo already in my efforts to read through Kyle’s GA run but I decided it was high time I loop back and try to 100% his run. It’s definitely a fun time. Still peeved he isn’t used more. Can’t believe they did a second Damage run and it’s not even about my boy Grant. DC return him to me immediately.
Tumblr media
Marble Queen by Anna Kopp and Gabrielle Kart
Dates Read: 5 March-6 March
Review: 3 stars
Thoughts: This was very cute. A fun sapphic story, with good art. It ended on some sequel bait but I don’t know that any has been announced. I will pick it up if it does get announced. The most memorable thing about this is that the first day it dropped it refused to open in any of my kindle apps irregardless of the device or how many times I updated it. So I bought it physically because I really wanted to read it, only for it to work the next fucking day. Infuriating. I will likely rehome the physical copy as it didn’t crack into my higher ratings.
Tumblr media
The Affair of the Mysterious Letter by Alexis Hall
Dates Read: 28 February- 6 March
Review: 5 stars
Thoughts: Holy shit this was so good. A fantasy/sci-fi retelling of Sherlock Holmes and I NEED there to be more books this instant. All the characters were so entertaining and the snark unprecedented. I loved the narrator for the audiobook so much that I proceeded to look up everything he’d done. Did I mention how queer this book is? 1000-% recommend
Tumblr media
Superman (2016) 37
Dates Read: 6 March
Review: 3 stars
Thoughts: I keep seeing posts of future Tim coming to fight Bruce so I decided to reread this issue. It is a fun time! I deeply appreciate that the cover has fuck all to do with the story. The only character on this cover that makes an appearance is Clark.
Tumblr media
Thunder Song by Sasha LaPointe
Dates Read: 5 March- 9 March
Review: 2 stars
Thoughts: I fucking hated this. I read Sasha’s poetry collection-Rose Quartz- last year and thought it was excellent so I preordered this eagerly but I wish I hadn’t. This isn’t a collection of essays, it’s a confused and misorganized memoir, but she’s literally already published a memoir so???? She was angry about so many things but angry at all the wrong people over them. So many of the experiences she discussed here were so deeply deeply relatable so it was very frustrating to have her constantly inform me that I could never understand any of them. The ability to understand and empathize with each other came free with our fucking humanity. If you are othering people by saying ‘you could never understand this pain’ you are doing yourself a wild disservice. Based on its average Goodreads rating it has found its proper audience but god knows I wasn’t that.
Tumblr media
Batman (1940) 443
Dates Read: 9 March
Review: 3 stars
Thoughts: I legitimately don’t remember reading this nor do I have any idea what it was about. Cheerio!
Tumblr media
The Fox Maidens by Robin Ha
Dates Read: 10 March
Review: 3 stars
Thoughts: Although this IS sapphic the romance doesn’t happen until the absolute end of the graphic novel. I was really more here for the main character eating bad men. She should have done that more. It was a fun read, even if it could have been gayer. I enjoyed learning more about Korean culture and mythology, I confess that I am not that knowledgeable.
Tumblr media
Transitions by Élodie Durand
Dates read: 10 March
Review: 3 stars
thoughts: this book was not at all what I was expecting. It’s an interesting perspective to hear from in the trans conversation: a parent who knows nothing about the community but who finds out their child is part of it. I thought there would be more personal emotions in it but… no not really. A LOT of research though lol.
Tumblr media
Women of Good Fortune by Sophie Wan
Dates Read: 9 March-13 March
Review: 4 stars
Thoughts: oh man this was fun. Very in line with Crazy Rich Asians. I loved all the women in this and I also enjoyed the supporting cast. I’ll be keeping an eye on what else Sophie Wan puts out.
Tumblr media
Action Comics (2016) 1063
Dates Read: 14 March
Review: 2 stars
Thoughts: This arc was bad and I’m glad it’s over

OC-Tober Day 4!
//A few years ago I remade one of my first Champion Concepts. He was one of the few that got quite a bit of attention and I made jokes that Rito took the idea and changed it up a bit to make one of their champs, but I wanted to finally remake him and do him justice.

//Cross started, lore wise, as an admirer of Kayle. Since the reworks and changes to not just the angel sisters but Runeterra as a whole, I've tried to figure out how to change him enough to be his own beast while still fitting into the lore without needing a crowbar and hacksaw.
Name: Crisol (Human name: Lexander) Age: 1000+ / 27 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight/Bi Family: None/Father (deceased), Mother (Deceased), Little Brother (Alive), Grandmother (Alive), Grandfather (Alive) Powers: Sword Mastery, Aspect Magic, Flight
Background: In a hamlet at the base of Mount Targon, Lexander was born to a family who were firm believers in one of the lesser known aspects. Lex would always come to lament this, not caring for the lessons or holding much belief in the faith that was shared by his family. When his younger brother was born, everyone seemed to become more relaxed with their beliefs and things seemly quieted down. Until the day his parents were slain.
It happened randomly, a simply mistake made by Lexander, a door left open, and a wild beast with a deep hunger entered their home. Their father was the first to go, their mother second, and with his dying breath, she kept the door to the room the brothers shared blocked with her own body. The teen Lex was devastated and upon discovering just what caused this tragedy, and despite knowing what his parents wishes were, should anything happen to them, he would end up abandoning his brother and leaving him with their grandparents. Despite no one blaming him for their deaths, the burden still weighed heavy on his heart and caused him to become a drifter and a nomad.
Despite traveling for years, learning from both the land and various others whom he'd spent some time with, Lexander couldn't free himself from the guilt he feels. "I got my parents killed... I abandoned my only brother... I fleed from this feeling... But it still haunts me... I just want to be free from this...."
That's when he recalled a story about Ascending. "Maybe... maybe I should go and try to do that..." The thought randomly popped into his head as he decided to return to that hamlet and then begin his climb up Mount Targon. People who saw him claim he was like a man possessed and they swear they could hear him mumble 'This is my punishment... I deserve this...' as he traveled.
The travel was beyond difficult, he took numerous small falls that halted progress, he had to stop often due to the lack of air that high up, and he could swear he was seeing things. Though that didn't cause him to loose heart "This is my punishment... I will see it through... I didn't get it back then, but I do now... Grant me strength to see my fate through to the end." A small mantra he'd repeat to himself whenever he found himself wavering. However willing his mind though, his body was beginning to fade.
On one area, Lexander collapsed and would lay on his back, staring up at the sky above and see just how far was left on his journey. Then, be it hallucination or the final visage before someone passes, he saw them, his parents or at least, their spirits. They begged him to stop, that enough was enough, his punishment was over, they've forgiven him. This was all that was needed. "You... forgive me?" 'Yes... please... use what's left of your strength and call for help to get you down. Your punishment is over son. Forgive yourself, and just vow to do better in the future!' Their spirits begged and as he heard them, he could swear that the deep and heavy weight that held him down since that dreadful morning was finally lifting. "Forgive myself... huh... How... do I do that?" 'It takes time my son... but you must take the first step...' "What's that...?" 'Accept what happened was an accident. Accept and embrace our forgiveness, and then... let go of that pain.' Growing silent, Lexander would close his eyes, bring his hands to his chest, and then begin the 'process'. "It was an accident that took my parents... I will learn from my mistake, I will be better... I ask for their forgiveness and accept it.-" Just before he could finish, he heard a third voice. "And do you vow to ensure no others suffer as you have? To give out not just punishment, but forgiveness and a chance to redeem themselves?"
It was then Lexander paused for a moment and then slowly nodded. "Yes... I vow to spread word of punishment, forgiveness, and redemption... if I survive this..." "It is not an If child... I have decided to take you as my vessel. If you accept me, you shall become an Aspect as others before you. All you need do... is say my name." "...I accept you, Crisol." "Your burdens end here child. I will inform your family of your choice and ask for their forgiveness, now rest, our work is only just beginning."
What happened next was something out of a story-book. Blue wings spread from Lexander's back, his eyes lit up with divine power, and he rose to his feet and began to fly down to the grandparents and the younger brother. Upon arriving the grandparents and younger brother would kneel down before him. "Please... rise devote followers. I come here not for reverence, but to make a request." Crisol would then drop down and kneel before them. "I beg for your forgiveness for taking the body of your grandchild and older brother." There was a silence, but then, the little brother spoke. "...I forgive you... But your punishment is to hug me before you go..." It is then that the aspect lifts his head and smiles softly. He would go and embrace the younger sibling before pulling away. "Thank you." With that, he took off and decided to help Runeterra in the best way he knew how, punishing those who have wronged, forgiving those who seek it, and helping redeem those on the journey to redemption.
//Cross or Crisol might be in for another rework at some point, but this is what I'm pretty happy with right now. I'm a bit fried right now, but hopefully you all like him and his newest incarnation.

Chapter 1 renewal of time, the game shall be gone a new universe shall happen. Start log At the start it was all genocide killed repeatedly and repeatedly around the 100th reset I got my memories back it took a while but after confirming it was real I couldnt bring myself to be happy. I did remember 1 time before all of this began where the human or that thing, brought us all to the surface and we did enjoy a momentary of peace for 2 years trying to flirt with me and us having really good memories. Until….. The human reset, I can’t remember did ‘it’ and I do a promise my head hurts just from thinking about it, I’m tired this is the 200th time I saw pappyrus get killed I don't think I can hold it in anymore wanting to kill him on the spot but something just something was holding me back from it, I just wish we could go back to that time where we were all happy, I don't even want to live on the surface anymore, just a timeline where the real frisk and not that human figure of darkness is in control where we all can just live together in peace, but who am I to say it's already the end of this future I can’t see what else or whoever can save us from this misery. All I know is that I can make these logs and they won't disappear.
3000th reset
Start log
Looks like that thing is starting to get bored. It started to get us to 1 hp before killing us ironically my hp.
?th reset
Judgement hall
Sans facing off the human
“Look kid I’m tired you can have this one”
The black shaped human slashes sans Looks like I’m going to grillby again, as he walks past that thing before he fades to dust he hears “Stop it,no no not again, I’m too late again, at least this is the closest I’ve gotten next reset it will happen”
?th reset
Judgement hall
The human takes a step and sans initiates the battle
“Hey kid its a beautiful day outside birds are singing flowers are blooming.”
Crash “Finally got the coordinates right” a person wearing a torn cape from head to toe armed with a rifle is seen in the middle of a destroyed wall of the judgement hall. Sans thinking its a illusion continues “on days like these kids like you” The caped man gets into the way of both of them “Stop, this meaningless genocide”
Sans now knowing that it is real freezes “Timeline anomaly or what is this interference” he thinks to himself. The human tries to hit the other person but he dodges it. “Sans I’ll explain to you everything later, just help me capture the kid.” Sans freezes and finds the whole thing dodgy. “1000 ketchup bottles as payment also.” Sans has considers about it. “If you want it to be back to normal where you don't have to keep on hiding your emotions, help me please.” Sans left eye socket turns blue unleashing a gaster blaster “deal” in cold hard words, the man pulls out his gun “Thank god” A battle enrages with blasters bones bullets and slashes. Once the human was at 1 hp. “Do Your longest attack gimme some time all I need is 1 minute.” Sans who still had energy “alright …..” “call me hunter the mysterioushunter” As he pulls out and interface, sans stalls the human for 30 seconds before he feels tired, gaster appeared, “it seems this timeline has begin to distort let me assist you old friend” Sans and gaster tag teamed and stalled for another 30 seconds. “Hey hunter a minute has passed now.”  Sans shouted
“Now” he said as black strings appeared from nowhere restraining the human in mid air goop seeping from them.
Sans heaved a sigh of relief, “now what are you going to do hunter” as gaster was seen fading, “it seems my time has come materialsiing took most of my will power and now my soul shall be turned to dust now” sans felt a hint of sadness in him. “nah you’ll be fine,” suddenly gaster stopped fading and was reverted to his original form. “How this can’t be possible ever since that experiment.”
“And who do you think led you here Mr W.D gaster.” hunter said “Ahh I see now you must be one of those people the one who calls themselves the player, I have seen many of you, even some making me into different variants of myself, so I must be changing into a variant now.” sans confused wanted to speak before the person bowed 90 degrees angle and said “sorry for what I have done”
Sans realising what he has done feels anger “You think a sorry can make me relieved of the ? resets that have passed seeing my own brother die so many times.”
“I’m not the one who did those but I’m sorry for letting those happen.” He begin to explain what has happened, he was the first one in this timeline to do the true pacifist ending and with him satisfied of the run and quitting the entire game not letting anything happen anymore not any resets nor genocide, he felt satisfied with the ending he gave but his sister found the game and …. ? genocide runs has happened. “Well to be exact 200 genocides before the whole game corrupted, well me being here is kind of an anomaly and more exactly it should have crashed by now but to be exact I kind of couldnt let this happen to I jumped into the game trying to stop this as I knew my sister programmed it so it would be neverending.”
Sans calms down and begins to speak“So what now even if you do a true ending it will turn up to be the human killing everyone else” sans said as he has a feeling that the human was beyond saving due to the ? time they killed everyone in the underground. “Well I mean I came here to solve things and I know of a plan” as he reloaded his rifle with a white bullet shooting the human. The hatred had dissolved from the human body even the pool of hatred underneath, only leaving frisk tied up. After removing the strings, Frisk wakes up and begins a battle with Sans to only act and flirt a lot of time instead of breaking down in tears. “Wow calm down kiddo” petting frisk. Just like the old times, sans thought tears started streaming down. “Am I snooping into anything or can we continue?” Hunter said. Frisk hiss like a cat “Yeah alright so what now.” Sans said. “I need flowey first.” gaster flicked his finger and flowey tped in. Flowey seeing sans frisk and gaster. “What's happening, smiley trashbag, why aren't you dead. AND WHY IS FRISK FLIRTING WITH YOU INSTEAD OF KILLING YOU, WHY AM I NOT DEAD YET.” “Yeah yeah calm down, I’m not sure what's happening also I’m just glad we got this moment of peace” sans said
“Now lets see” hunter uses an interface to and typing in 2 pieces of code making a body for chara and asriel appear out of nowhere.
“Now this is certainly interesting.” Gaster said
Hunter picks up flowey. “WHat are you doing black cape brat” “Nothing much” as he begins to giggle, flowey begins to protest but hunter just ripped the soul from the flower and inserted his soul into his body. Sans and frisk giggles looking at flowey protesting, sending threats in his goat form while gaster is intrigued by the soul transfer. “Now for chara, sans don't be mad at me alright.” as he takes frisk soul, ACT and uses search. Prodding into frisk's soul was chara spirit sleeping, ACT take. As he split chara sleeping spirit and transferred chara to the body. “Few done gimme a few minutes this. Takes. A lot. Of . my. Suppressed Power in one full breath. Gaster I’ll explain it to you later” and he faints. Chara wakes up, asriel your being too loud again. “Chara is that you.’ “off course its me you dummy…… HOW AM I ALIVE WHAT HAPPENED I THOUGHT I SHOULD’VE DIED LONG AGO AND ENDED UP POSESSING FRISK SPIRIT BEFORE I GOT KNOCKED OUT BY SOME OTHER ENTITY AFTER THE ? GENOCIDE oehfojbegwjgbqujebgjwbegkjbwi.”  chara broke down due to confusion and the amount of information that was going into her brain. Asriel hugs chara, “I’m just glad I can talk to you again partner”
After a long moment of clearing up stuff going back and forth trying to clear centuries worth of information.
What now chara says, “frisk is still pretending to be a mute and that person is still asleep.”
“Its not like I had a choice the game prevented me from saying anything.” frisk protested in text box.
“Then why are you speaking in text box huh?Say why don’t you just open your mouth and speak for once, can't you scaredy cat.”
“Wow, calm down.” sans intervend Suddenly a cute shy little voice “sans” came out of frisk voice.
SIlence.
Then everyone except gaster and chara went sicko mode.
“I’m awake what’s, happening.” Hunter wakes up from the noise thinking it was an enemy attack.
“Nothing so what now hunter, you got me gaster frisk chara and asriel here.’
“First things first, since I’ve intervened in this genocide ending, it kinda is warping into an au and based on what is going to happen later, well I’m not sure, but than again…….” This went on for about 30 minutes or so. “Alright so first thing is to fix a mess I have made coming into this universe, no dimension and second of all does any of you know how to babysit a child?.’
“Pappy can do that he babysits frisk before.” sans giggles remembering that time. “Well then lemme give you another long explanation about how I came here.” As hunter explains it was around the 100th genocide before he found out that his sister was trying to attempt the most genocide record usuing a ai, he managed to stop it during the 200th but the game collapsed and I knew that that wasnt the end, for the game was still going on and I couldnt access it no matter what. So I resorted to breaking a 4th dimension wall, getting into this dimension and gaining access to this Universe, becoming your creator, although when I broke the 4th wall I kind of created a whole new character doorkeeper!frisk, she is currently sleeping and i”ve overstayed my time here, It won't be long till someone finds it odd I’ve been gone for this long so basically could you take care of doorkeeper!frisk? She's still a child and I dont think she wants to be seperated from me for this long and I don't want anything to happen to her
“I mean you still have to give us some explaination.” Sans sternly said, “but I agree”
Frisk agreed with Chara and Asriel.
“Your soul trait is interesting. May I know what it is before we get transported.” Gaster says. “Sighs I might as well introduce myself, the names mysterioushunter soul trait imagination I come from a different dimension,” and than speaking to gaster about all the stuff he wants to know about this soul trait.
After clearing things up, “anyways after I press reset and not frisk, frisk will still have the reset button for safety purposes and everyone of you will have a bit of the imagination soul trait. “Again sorry for my sister causing this whole thing. I needa take a break. I'll see you later. Also as my final warning please train there are threats out there that can access this universe and are far stronger than you.”
Hunter presses the reset button a great white light engulfed the universe, resetting everything and altering the location of the universe except for chara, asriel sans, frisk and gaster which kept their memories.
End of log
Save file….. Saved
Back at the AU, sans woke up to see his home, on the surface, from the first reset. He couldn't believe his eyes and remembered frisk should be here in his home for a sleepover, sans opened the door to frisk room to see frisk sound asleep, he went and wake up frisk only to be surprised by a smooch on his skull, sans surprised by this blushed a blue, frisk just snickers at sans reaction, “So what do we have here 2 love birds?” Gaster leans by the open door, frisk barks at gaster, “hey gaster so what's the plan now, I don't see the one we are supposed to protect right now all I can see is this timeline/save point is the one after we got to the surface.” “well I mean we should go contact chara and asriel before we do anything right, if gaster is here that means the save file got altered in a way.” Frisk said “Alright lemme go get the 2.” Sans uses a shortcut, Toriel's home, “Hey tori I wanna borrow chara and asriel…..” A crash sound could be heard, glass spills onto the floor, “Sans for the final time,” fireballs were casted “COULD YOU USE THE DOOR INSTEAD OF BARGING INTO MY HOUSE.”Toriel said “Sorry, my bad” “and yes you can but make sure they are back before dinner. “Don’t worry mam I’ll bring them back before night frisk wanted to see them” “ Oh sans make sure to say hi to frisk for me.” “ I’ll do it as sans went to the upper floor, took the 2 kids and shortcutted them to his house. “Okay let's start, what anomalies are there and what changes had happened to this timeline before papy gets back, also frisk, toriel said hi.”
From what the whole group knew, the timeline was altered to where the incident didn't happen, Frisk shattered the barrier with the help of the 6 other souls causing chara and asriel souls to come back, in the time space disruption. “So that's all we can’t find and have no leads to this doorkeeper!Frisk person.”
“Well sans I’ve checked with chara and we both have a new button on the screen.” frisk said
“Hmm, quite intriguing a new button. Does it do anything special by any chance?” gaster said
“Well its just a button called imagination not sure what is does tho.” chara uninterestedly replied.
“Can we go home now? I wanna explore the new toys that the surface made, chara agrees too right?” Asriel complained. Chara just grunts
Sans looking at the time, “Alright both of you it time to go to bed, your uncle ‘snickers’ is going to bring you home.”
“Shut it bonehead.” Chara snapped at him.
“Alright.” grabbing the 2 by their shirts and shortcutting them to their bed room and back. “Can’t wait for what papyrus is going to make.” frisk says.
“Alright I’m going back to my research lab, tell me if anything happens”
“Don’t, cause another accident old friend.” saying it in a friendly warning tone.
“Alright, I don't want you worrying I won't do anything big as the famed last one.” gaster shortcuts to his lab.
Just a few minutes later papyrus comes back in his car full of groceries.
During dinner Papyrus serves them his spaghetti with a twist of hot sauce in it.
Sans and frisk digs in, while papyrus just looks at his spaghetti.
“Whats the matter bro you always try out your spaghetti.” Sans “No brother it's just that I feel like I’m off today, when I was shopping I got this horrible feeling that I got sliced many times, I even was struggling to drive the car or make spaghetti, I feel horrible, let me go rest for today. Sorry if I worried you” Papyrus went upstairs to his bed. “Sans I’m so” frisk tried to apologise but got interevend “Its not your fault Frisk I just need….. Nevermind” as he continued to munch down on his spaghetti.
Both of them did the whole house was silent, for a few hours, Sans didn't crack a joke, Frisk just stayed quiet.
Sans, who usually goes to grilbbies at this time, went to bed early for once, as he was about to go to sleep Frisk knocked on the door “What’s up kiddo.” As he saw a trembling Frisk on the verge of crying,
“Alright, we can sleep together, just like old times.”
Frisk quietly pulled her mattress and slept beside the Sans bed. “Whew what a rough day today was better do a log file on this .” sans thought as he was reminded of today's events
He went to sleep with a heavy snore
Sans was in a deep sleep till he got rudely awoken by Frisk shaking him, “Wow kid I’m awake what do you want me to…”  He saw the scenery that wasn't his bedroom but a white sky, He looked to frisk who was confused. “Looks like it’s Hunter who sent us here huh, Kid I wonder if the Doorkeeper!Frisk(Dk!frisk) or whoever was the person we were supposed to babysit. Frisk nodded while staring at the white sky and the surroundings which were white also. They felt a sudden shortcut and they were shortcutted to a house with a green grassy terrain surrounding it. “Heya its me Guardian of Doorkeeper!frisk, Imagination!ss!Chara(IMA!chara).” Sans pulls out a gaster blaster and held it at point preparing just in case the chara did something weird, IMA!Chara , “Hey that’s not a nice way to say hi to a friend,” and then proceeds to summon a knife in her hand, 2 Big dreemurr blasters behind her charged. “Now tell me intruders who are you if not you'll face the wrath of my might” she said loudly
“Hunter didn't tell us about who was the guardian of Dk!Frisk tho” Frisk said
“Didn't have enough energy,” Hunter was lying down in the middle of the fight panting for breath, “Also mb I forgot alr IMA!Chara.” “Bruuhh why do you always forget about me please I help you solve your troubles 200 times and you forget LIKE SERIOUSLY.” “Hey I created you so SHUT YO MOUTH *redacted” Bickering continued till Hunter placed galaxy chocolate in IMA!chara mouth. She tried to protest but continued eating it sulking in a corner. While Sans and Frisk were staring at the conversation like they were the wind ignored every time they tried to budge in. They saw a sign saying drinks and popcorn in case we are bickering, decided to get popcorn drinks from the fridge outside of the house sat back and watched the drama.  “Sorry you had to see this also its my bad that I forgot to tell you other stuff”
“Well I dont say why you forgot that Chara over there but where’s Dk!Frisk” frisk asked
“Well she should be sleeping in the house and maybe she is sleeping rn she still is growing and kind of is still  a child” “Yeah she is sleeping I had to give her 2 bottles of cola to pacify her before she could sleep tho” “So is everything alright between you guys.” Sans asked
“Yeah everythings alright we just bicker for a while before we make up easily sometimes.” hunter said
“Yeah yeah anyways lemme reintroduced myself.” “The names Imagination!SS!chara or you could call me IMA!chara I babysit Dk!frisk and I’m her guardian so I expect your the new caretakers here.” Bowing down before looking at the two, adn getting to know them so on and so forth sans started explaining the whole job situation. After explaining, Hunter showed a contract and asked both of them to sign the thing, “also 1 more thing Dk!Frisk usually  has an addiction of going to random AUs through her door. Its kind of my fault and I'm not a fan of fixing my troubles" “Wait I thought she couldn’t control her powers so where is she going to end up.
“Well usually we would kind of control the destination for it to be a pacifist or non killing timeline, but she like dangers and NO matter how many time she would still hope for the genocide timelines.” “So is there a Chara in her like me?” frisk asked “Nope, she doesn't have any when I created her"
Frisk sighed a relief and they both decided to move on asking more questions till sans saw Dk!frisk moving slowly towards the door. “Hey Kiddo I wanna ask something” as he took frisk by the hand and chased towards her While Dk!frisk started to run towards the door, Hunter and IMA!Chara started going on about the next question debating whether this topic should be discussed. “Kiddo I’m not going to harm you.” Sans shouted, snapping both of them out of their conversation, seeing Dk!Frisk running towards the door, they tried to stop but it was too late, DK!Frisk, sans, Frisk was already through the door.
“Uh oh this can’t be good”
“your right on that, they just went through the door what could be the worst the odds of going into a genocide timeline is low…………… , THEY WENT THROUGH AND TODAY HAS A HIGH CHANCE OF IT BEING A GENOCIDE TIMELINE NOT AnY TIMELINE AN AU TIMELINE OH *BEEP.” taking IMA!chara by the sides and shaking her “While lets hope that we are able to track the coordinates and hope they are alive.” she teied to be positive “WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALIVE IF NOT I MIGHT BE STUCK AND OTHER STUFF WILL HAPPEN.” “OH yeah I forgot about it sorry hunter.” “NOW NOT THE TIME TO BE SORRY GET TO THE COMPUTER I’LL WARP JUMP TO AS MANY GENOCIDE TIMELINES TO CHECK IF THEY ARE THERE, HOPE ITS NOT A SPECIAL ONE IF NOT WE ARE DEAD.” They both rushed to track down the trio who went through the door at the sametime.

Geats: Niram tells Hareruya he may be allowed to retain his memories after the Grand End if he does something for him, regarding Ace, he also later asks Ziin to negotiate with the errant Supporter. Hareruya approaches Ace, and reveals he's been assigned to look into what happened to Mitsume by Niram, he's also offering Ace the info before the Grand End. Ace tells Buffa PunkJack is back, and questions his motive in hunting the Riders, suggesting he's granting them a mercy, and questions if he would leave a Rider to die at the mercy of the Jamato. Kekera and Beroba want Archimedel to eliminate Sara, giving Keiwa a personal tragedy that will force him to become a true Kamen Rider in Kekera's eyes. In the last day of the ID Core Hunt, Sara and Neon make up, but Sara wants to remember her still, but will help achieve her goal. Archimedel ambushes the girls, targeting Sara, Keiwa eventually reveals himself and helps Neon get her away, they take a moment to resolve their feelings for now. Ace, and then to his acknowledgement, Michinaga, leap into action against Archimedel, and together defeat him, he dies back at the Jamato Garden, leaving a handful of ID Cores, wishing his children future success. Beroba and Kekera are annoyed, but she thinks she might have a use for Daichi's ID Core, when Ziin asks for the Vision Driver, telling them the Grand End is coming, and if they haven't gone through the gate when Suel wipes the world, they will cease to exist.
Kingohger: The 5 chase down Jeremy, wanting to know what he's doing with the Greater Guardians, and he claims responsibility for the legend. Since he clearly doesn't look 2000, Rita arrests him and charges him with a whole heap of crimes. Kamejin and Deathnarok plan to retake the Guardian Souls. In Gokkan, Jeremy claims to have written the Legend again, Kuroda taking notes for Kaguragi, and reveals knowledge God Scorpion's soul was hidden there, claiming to be responsible both for hiding it and writing the legend, Gira thinks he sounds like Racles. Rita isn't interested. Kaguragi relates this to Racles, who demands Jeremy be brought to him, and makes weiled threats towards Kaguragi's sister, Suzume, evidently his hostage. They prepare a lie detector from N'Kosopa to test him, Sebastian, and a maid, secretly listening. It detects no lies from Jeremy, who then casually reveals to Yanma that his mentor in technology, Gin, was taught by himself, making him responsible for their ability to control King-Ohger. Rita knows God Kumo was the first Shugod analysed, and Jeremy explains he gave humanity a way to revive the Shugods and the Bugnarok information on the Shugod Souls. Before he can discuss his motives, he his snatches by the Ishibanans. Gira and Yanma arrive at Ishabana soon after. As a show of faith, Jeremy somehow causes Scorpi's soul to appear on her back. Rita arrives with info Morfonia dug up, legends going back 1000 years of the masked spiderman, Kaguragi arriving to assert this fact makes him a Bugnarok agent revealing he saw Deathnarok escape Jeremy's attack, making the whole thing a ploy and him their enemy. Jeremy is annoyed that they're still looking at things so simplistically and runs off when the Bugnarok attack. When they find him, he's cutting down Bugnarok, and he keeps trying to get them to see between the lines. He eventually frustrated dismisses their kingliness and reveals the truth, a 6th hero, erased from the records for the crime of falling in love with a Bugnarok, the pair rejected by both sides, they fled together, and produced a child, and to protect him, sealed away the powers born of his cursed existence. He is among many people ignored, mistreated by either society, so his goal is to create a world there all these prejudices will be gone. Now they're annoyed he didn't just say that. They seem okay with him now. Deathnarok appears, promising to destroy humanity and others like Jeremy, who therefore displays his own power, transforming into SpiderKumonos, driving Deathnarok off, and declaring all will swear fealty to him.
Punkjack: After a quick recap of Hareruya's story up to his seeming death at Girori's hand, we see him wake up in hospital. Niram introduces himself, claiming credit for saving him, and apologising for Girori's actions towards him, especially given Hareruya Shoji, Win's grandfather, who is a major sponsor for the DGP. With his grandfather's approval, Niram offers him the choice of going back to his life or taking the ID Core and remembering warning there will be no going back. But, Punk is Life, Win was only going to make one choice. Win used to be the frontman of Weather Hearts, with the main song Rollin' Rollin' Punk King. After the Battle of Crazy Tornadoes, Win announced he was splitting the band, feeling they weren't achieving anything. Bassist Amamiya Hiroki was upset, but his girlfriend Kaoru, pregnant, needs him to think about the future, Cloud and Yukito don't say much. Phantom Territormy, who started around the same time Weather Hearts did are now hitting it big, inspiring Win's decision. Soon in major debt, Win was recommended to become DGP staff by his grandfather, joining many others working under Girori and Tsumuri. Duties included wiping memories of Retired players, Inspecting Desire Drivers and ID Cores, wiping out evidence of eliminated players like Imai Tooru, and Guard Duty when necessary. After Win did well in training, the guard captain, Mashima Kazuki, included him on a team to deal with a Player refusing to participate, Kamen Rider Butchi, who used Armed Hammer. The rest of the security team confront Butchi, becoming Guard Riders, and quickly defeating Butchi, revealed as Hiroki, who unable to find success, had entered and wished for a world where Weather Hearts was successful, to guarantee his families happiness. However, he can't die for his child's sake. Jamato appear, and Mashima has him tossed to then, Win can't stand by and becomes a Guard Rider to deal with them instead. This gets him a reprimand from Mashima, who gives Hiroki an ultimatum. He opts to withdraw. Win goes to visit him, having seen his passion for the band and been inspired, but Hiroki no longer has that wish. Remembering learning how the Riders lost their driver, Win begs Tsumuri for it back, but its not possible, and she reveals how lost drive becomes another's happiness, and mentions the dead are sent to the Jama Garden, though she seems to already show signs of hesitancy with the system, and leaving Win wondering which version of Hiroki was happier. Months later, Mashima suddenly showed him he had snuck Butchi's ID Core among others, offering it if he assitend him, and revealed they were planning to force Girori to grant their ideal worlds, the rest are apparently fuel for a wish. As Tsumuri navigated the Final Round to Desishin candidates, Geats, Buffa, and Shirowe. Girori is troubled Geats is again Desishin, as Mashima begins the Coup, presenting Girori his wish, a World where he can rule. Girori refuses, saying they are meant to fulfill nobler purposes, something Win comes to understand as the Guard Riders start attacking. Girori sees Win has different ideas, and throws him a box with the Punkjack ID Core and Beat Raise Buckle, and Win realises he too shares Hiroki's wish. Punkjack Beat, for the first time, fights, defeating the other Guard Riders before handling Mashima. Girori congratulates him, having already known of suspicious activity from the staff but not who was responsible, he becomes Glare, and hacks the Guard Riders, and revealed he was preparing the Core for Win. As they witness Ukiyo Ace become Star of Star of the Stars, Girori warns him to be wary. In the present Niram informs Win that the DGP is now in a dangerous position and needs him, Win agrees to fight, but will not be a pawn, not anymore.
Metropolis: Yabai Kamen is increasingly distressed at the ongoing arrests, but explains crimes and money to Yuz-Yuz, who immediately robs the safe, then sneaks into the Police Station while everyone is asleep, stealing the Fukuokaken, Ex's pack and El Brave's Belt, she did leave the money though. Shiraishi and Akuta are both injured thanks to strain from SP110-Px, so Ohgaman decides it's time they took on the cases. Fukuokaliber, El Brave, Ex and Yoriki go on patrol. Yuz-Yuz seems unfulfilled when Yabai Kamen catches up, and learning she spent the money gets enraged and holds her at gunpoint, just as the police group arrive. He then changes tune, having her summon her robots. Tanaka tends to Shiraishi and Akuta, who asks why Shiraishi joined the police. Ex and El Brave are being overwhelmed when Fukuokaliber joins the fray, El Brave, knocked out, accidentally triggers SP110-Px, which moves automatically to fight, he causes the others to be open to Yabai Kamen attacking, but Yuz-Yuz interrupts, returns the items (giving Yabai Kamen the belt) and leaves with her troops. The two heroes keep fighting Yabai Kamen, as Yoriki, sat in the car terrified, recalled how as a patrolman he earnestly tried to help people, but wound up getting more and more piled on him and was left struggling. As Shiraishi finishes explaining, saying he doesn't know who the officer who helped him was, but he's always been his hero, we see it was Yoriki, as he finds the will to step up, and calls out, his words of justice reawakening El Brave to fight, as Yoriki readies paperwork, Fukuokaliber and Ex calls Rhythm, Love, Ang and Tear to rush to the house, and find the relevant documents to serve notice to Yabai Kamen. Unfortunately SP110-Px overloads and explodes off El Brave, but he still takes Yabai Kamen down. Things seem good, until Tanaka is horrified to learn Yuz-Yuz also took I-Doll, showing them off to the remaining AHK members as Shaberryman freaks out about Yabai Kamen's arrest.
Regulos: Pretty sure the rest of this is going to just be on Tsuburaya Imagination or Ultraman Connection, but let's start, sure. Planet D60 in the Draco Constellation is the birthplace of the Cosmo Beast Style. Leo is engaging in training matches, after defeating one opponent, his next is Regulos (Early Style), who is improving, but even now loses for the 15th time against Leo. As matches continue, Leo talks with Master Alude and Instructor Phoros, thanking them for the regular hospitality they show him, as L77 is a brother planet to D60. As Leo is leaving, Regulos asks him to bring Astra next time, and confirms his memory hasn't returned. At night Regulos stumbles across Spica with a Cosmo Beast, she recalls to him how he first arrived frozen, she thawed him out and brought him to Alude, who offered him training. Dias has similar feelings to Regulos about paying back Alude, though Spica notes he basically forced them to accept him as a pupil, but it's clear they're all good friends. Later, the senior pupils are drilling Regulos and Dias, when Alude and Phoros announce L77 was invaded and destroyed by Magma Seijin, Regulos rushing off as the others confirm between themselves Magma's next target, Regulos mourns the loss of his friends.
