The Bag of Games is a bonafide magical object, I swear to god. Every single time I'm in a rotten place and pick out a new game to distract me, it ends up giving me the exact game I need to be playing at that moment. Like. I just got dumped (knew it was coming, that was one reason I was upset yesterday) and am feeling absolutely hopeless about the state of the world. So the Bag gives me Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers, which is a dating sim with Video Game Men(tm) who can't dump me and ALSO features a character who is experiencing the exact same despair about the world at large that I am. It's cathartic.

Basara kubikiri - samurai shodown

Basara Kubikiri is a type of yūrei (or ghost) who was "reborn" due to an extreme hatred he harbored before his death. Basara and his wife Kagaribi were both killed by the demon Zankuro. Because his hate for the demon was so deep, he came back from the dead. Although his heart and mind had gone mad, he hunts Zankuro for revenge. After Zankuro had been killed, Basara searched for ways to finally rest in peace. After finding out that Amakusa was the one who brought him back from the dead in Samurai Shodown IV, he heads for Shimabara to kill Amakusa. His soul was eventually captured by Mizuki and was sealed away.

Grateful for the fans!

I did what any game developer shouldn’t do, which is looking at their own games on tumblr... especially with the reception I’ve received by being the new kid on Stumptgamers. I was excepting the worst. 

But of course, there was so much love for the games I’ve made and it warmed my heart. Sometimes, when you are just in the game dev cycle and constantly working, you don’t fully realize how many people you’re inspired/affected/brought joy to. It was a happy stroll down memory lane to see people gushing over the characters I’ve created and the romances I’v written.

It keeps me moving forward and pushes me to make more incredible games. So thank you for all the love. <3
