Another doodle for my rpg book, this one is for “Human and Hurvetsis Interactions” and head designs for players to take inspiration from. These aliens, although savage, war-like and aggressive in their majority cultures, have a weakness for human beings. They basically view us as we view cats; respected as a deadly, sadistic hunter, but OH MY STARS, ITS SO FUCKING ADORABLE, GNNNNNNN.
The first interaction with humans involved a human cruiser ship crashing on a mining planet for the Hurvetsis. The alien race sent out a troop to basically do a vermin cleansing, like a redneck might do if he hears rats in the attic. None of their troop made it back. Appalled, they manage to retrieve a signal from a recording camera to witness the small, rather cute alien beings absolutely fucking wrecking their troops. Instead of outrage and retaliation, whoops, fists banging on tables and shouts of admiration rang out. They sent another three sets of soldiers, this time, to offer help and learn more about this race that not only shared many values with them, but oh stars, can I please take one home, I want one.
Almost all other races dislike this species due to the Hurvetsis’ exploitative, oligarchic main societies, so naturally they get along with humans. Because we both kinda suck

Sorry this is a useless post but I'm like, maybe with the SMRPG remake people would want to know about the. Frankly unhinged amount of Star Road lore I came up with in my wild brain and have been secretly "writing" about for YEARS.
It's very extremely goofshoes but someday. Someday i'll have courage.

galactic 2e supplement bundle for star wars day!
I have a playbook in this bundle!
galactic is the best star wars rpg - it's diceless, gmless, and has been accurately described as 'what if star wars cared about the characters as much as we do'. We played it on @merelyroleplayers:
My playbook, the Researcher, is inspired by Doctor Aphra from the Darth Vader and Doctor Aphra comics; Eno Cordova from the Fallen Order game; and Lyntel'luroon, Kat's character from Star Wars Campaign.
Get that plus 22 other brilliant galactic supplements - playbooks, rules expansions and more - until the end of May!

I may have a new game baking in the brain oven.
Here's the working premise:
You are a Patch-Worker, an astronaut assigned to scour the Pixelverse for data discrepancies and erradicate viruses that threaten the integrity of reality on various planets. Delve into the far reaches of your virtual galaxy. Explore an alien planet. Root out corrupted data and patch it. And be careful, lest the virus corrupt YOU in the process.
I'm not decided on a title yet. I have a couple of ideas. Pixel Planets was the first one that came to mind, but alliteration becomes tiresome after a while, and it kind of sounds too cute to fit the premise. So then I thought of Pixelated Cosmos, which is a bit of a mouthful, and it doesn't hint at the objective of the game. So I'm still figuring it out.
I do know that I want to implement interactive fiction elements that will allow players to choose which planet they travel to and how they want to tackle the virus on that planet. But I also want there to be randomness and risk, perhaps by implementing a dice roll. And there has to be a way to lose the game. I'm thinking loss conditions will include the player becoming corrupted, or the player failing to patch the virus before it spreads to unravel the planet in its entirety.
Anyhow, let me know what you think of this concept. What features do you think I could add to make it optimally entertaining and fun?
Oh yeah— and the art is going to be all pixel style and rely on highly-saturated colors to make it really POP. >u< That's going to be a heck of a task since I'm not so well versed in pixel art. XD But the aesthetic!

One thing I absolutely love in games, especially RPG's, is there being one guy who Definitely Should Be The Main Character but because the player character is there, he's playing sidekick.
Like, the best example is Alistair in Dragon Age Origins, what with him being the true king, half human and half elf, has dragon blood and Darkspawn blood knocking around in his veins. Dude oozes Main Character energy but NOPE, the player character is here and Alistair is playing second fiddle.
There's also Parvati in The Outer Worlds. She's got all the makings of a main character, plucky kid from a backwater colony forced into the role of galactic hero, but she's the sidekick because she's not the palyer character.
Like, its so funny. Its like those old (Y/N) fanfics where the main character is supplanted by this foreign parasite. Its just so endlessly funny to me.
Leave ones YOU know in the tags!

Star Wars: Tales From the Rambler is an actual play series in Fantasy Flight's Star Wars tabletop RPG system. With @gabajoofs as GM, the series stars myself as Corellian pilot Janica Halcyon, @lakemojave as Trandoshan bodyguard Bhuri'Hssyngigg, @chansaw as Bothan con artist Val Griv'ir, @brucebocchi as Corellian mechanic Ced Saverem, and @thottacelli as Twi'lek mercenary Caitvuna Conu!
THE STORY SO FAR: It has been years since the end of the Galactic Civil War. The New Republic struggles to rebuild the galaxy after decades of Imperial rule, locked in a cold war with the remnant Pentastar Alignment. All the while, in the dark corners of the galaxy, organized crime groups compete with each other to gain power in the galactic underworld after the collapse of the Hutt Cartel. Now, the crew of the transport ship the Rambler have been thrust into this gritty, cutthroat world...
LAST TIME: The crew of the Rambler successfully delivered humanitarian supplies to the New Confederacy of Independent Systems after exploring an abandoned ship in the Drift. They were then called to Coruscant by none other than Chief of State Leia Organa. Leia explained that shipments of tibanna gas from Bespin had been going missing, and charged the Rambler crew with traveling to Cloud City and figuring out what was going on. After making it to Bespin, the crew went to a nearby cantina to get some information. Janica and Bhuri picked up a lead from a visiting Mandalorian bounty hunter, who promised them information if they took down a target, a former Imperial, for her...
Part Two of Tales From the Rambler will air Saturday, April 20, at 2:30 PM PST!

This is the first version I finished making as an attempt at creating a map of Union space for the world of the Lancer RPG. There are numerous galactic maps out there on the internet, but I personally never liked the scale they employed. This scale puts the radius of the Annamite Line, Union's furthest extent, at roughly 440 lightyears away from Cradle (Earth). I've included a number of homebrew worlds, and the placement of official worlds and third party systems is all according to my own interpretation, so your mileage may vary.
I simply made this in Paint.NET, I'm happy to share the source or make a custom version if you want to use this for your own campaign.
