A huge problem with antizionist activists at the moment is that so many of them are just absolutely itching to see more violence. They don’t want to stop the violence. They don’t call for a ceasefire and peace anymore. Instead they call for Israelis/Jewish people to be ethnically cleansed from the region instead of Palestinians. Like they literally just think the “wrong people” are being murdered right now. They’re a bunch of western spectators with nothing on the line agitating for more violence in a region thousands of miles away so they can root for their “team.” It’s a game to so many of these people, and a game they want to end in even more violence than has already been perpetrated by the Israeli government and Hamas.
It may be silly to get excited over like 2 seconds of animation in a 6 second clip, but IDC I cannot believe I got spy to shake out his cigarette that smoothly and it was actually fun to do. Funner than it usually is. I can't believe I ever forsook you Graph Editor, I used to be so barbaric. Like he actually followed the keyframes I put instead of doing his own thing and dismembering himself into thin pieces without me having to wrangle him. Actual pose-to-pose and not solely relying on the mental images blasted into my eyelids is FIRE
I used to only love lipsync a lot but now I kind of want to animate a lot of movement!! But I can't most of the plan is to have spy and sniper looking angstily at each other over the bassline, oh the horrors! Whatever it's fine, until I have to do lighting which will be the true horror
been thinking about the liyue gang and how id draw their physical builds so here are some thoughts i had for xy cy and gm in particular
- xingqiu, unsurprisingly, would be quite lanky. i like to think he has broad-ish shoulders, like a thin athlete's build? hes a long boy to me haha, long face, neck, limbs, fingers etc, so naturally hes stands (comparatively) tall at 5'6" or 5'7"
i like to think hes most physically attractive one and has that handsome princely and boyish charm to him because it adds a lot to his fuckass duality LOL
- chongyun is a lot like xiao imo! short stature but with muscular arms. he seems nimble and flexible because of his normal attack animations (which bears a lot of similarities to xiao's actually! this + the fact that chongyun's normal attacks create gusts of wind further reinforces my hc that xiao trains him). sometimes i watch high energy choreography vids on youtube and some dancers look incredibly light on their feet, almost like their body is inherently bouncy? and i imagine chongyun to have that agility to him. chongyun has a delicate face and aura and i let that bleed into my hcs for his fighting style and physical capabilities hahaha. hes kind of like a cat who's deceptively strong. as for height.. just a few inches taller than xiao, so perceptibly short at 5'4"
- ga ming my new beloved. pretty much similar to chongyun but more muscular and stronger just because he wields his claymore with ease. theres a noticeable weight different between cy and his claymore the way he lugs it up after he swings (or even other claymore users like razor who, on his last hit, bounces from impact). meanwhile ga ming literally slams his to the ground LOL. i love his movements though hes very swift and expressive and radiant.. if cy has delicate movements then ga ming's is fierce and (charmingly!) assertive
ga ming is wonderfully charismatic though, i know hes not well known in liyue harbor yet, but he seems like the type to gain a reputation from his friendliness. how could no one adore him hahaha. 5'5" for height! just between xy and xq
Some Destiny 2 post-Lightfall thoughts, minimal spoilers:
I don't think we're supposed to be satisfied with how the campaign ended. We're supposed to look at our victory and have it immediately become a massive, stunning loss: the Witness set a trap, distracted us, and let events proceed in its advantage.
We lost. And it's not okay.
We have the slimmest, tiniest threads of leads into how we can follow the Witness: trawling the Vex Network for the oldest data caches about Neomuna's founding, discovering Nezarec looming in that cyberdomain (and, perhaps, in the upcoming raid); mastering Strand and exploring its connection to the Neomuni; and whatever Mara has up her sleeve as she aids us in holding off the Shadow Legion in the EDZ.
LF tells us about 'flowing with the river' - as a means to master Strand, as a means of letting go of pain and grief and anger (epitomized in the campaign with Osiris, grieving and desperate to prove he can still be Thee Osiris, and later in Nimbus as they grieve Rohan's sacrifice). Maybe for us Guardians it's something to think about, to take that loss and keep going without becoming those same desperate angry beasts.
But it's not an immediate thing for those having difficulty with the story. I'm one of them; two days after finishing Calus part of me is still wondering 'how does this keep going? Where is the hope?' Sure we have our allies: the Vanguard, Caiatl, Mara, Misraaks, and perhaps one day Savathun. But what's missing in this week before the raid is the direction to go. WQ gave us Rhulk and the reminder that we will face his like again; that gave us the stepping-off point for the rest of the year.
We all know by now that, ultimately, Destiny is a story of hope against overwhelming odds: people choosing, over and over again, to be better, to reach out to others, and to help each other overcome what seems to be the impossible. This week, it's hard to see the hope. We know it's coming, whether we want to admit it or not. It's easy to be scathing if you look at the story as only the campaign's arc; it's harder knowing there's yet more to come.
So we open our palms instead of closing our fists.
figuring out what animals minecraft streamers are like that girl in the elmo tiktok and getting more and more scared as i realize that all of them have eyes on the front of their heads and therefore are likely beasts of prey and capable of hunting and killing.
FINALLY, actual proof. I have found what the difference is between jet propulsion and jet-stepping.
Jet Propulsion
[ID: Picture of Azula propelling in an upward motion on a sustained jet of blue flames]
Jet-Stepping
[ID: Picture of Azula propelling herself on blue flames with the movements of someone seen running forward]
I always wondered why Azula was using actual running movements or in this case stepping movements when she propelled herself at Zuko in The Last Agni-Kai. Well now we can say she was jet-stepping before moving into a sustained usage of jet propulsion.
Okay I am still pretty knew to the hanfu community but I want to know: are Hanfu season specific like kimono are? Like would it look strange to wear hanfu with spring flowers on it in fall? I've looked for information on google but I don't find the right information. Obviously kimono is influenced by Hanfu but that seasonal thing could easily be something Japanese specific.
also it really is shit how several popular bloggers were like. Horribly bigoted towards ace people when it was cool, but once it stopped being trendy they 1) deleted those posts so receipts couldn't be pulled 2) maybe put up claimed "redactions" or said "omg its been years if you really wanna know wether i still hate those people dm me" but never apologized for their behavior lmao. I don't think any of the people who did that actually changed, I just think they know it's not such an acceptable/fun target to bully anymore. It's really sick how that type of bullying was encouraged for years and how few people repented for their behavior.
