7. Post a snippet from a wip.

Another ping on Jimin's phone is a headline from a crime-watching app. Police have uncovered yet another severed head, and this one is in a park not too far from the bar he and JayKay have agreed to meet up at. Jimin opens a tab on his computer, which displays a map, and he drops a pin on the location and studies it. There are a few warehouses and abandoned buildings in the area that the various pins seem to encircle. Jimin wonders if he is close to figuring out where the local serial killer has been doing his kills.

Not that Jimin thinks he has any authority figuring any of this out...he is merely a true crime podcaster who has become a bit too obsessed with a recent spree of murders. The idea of hunting down and catching someone who has been prolific for over a month is thrilling to Jimin. Especially if he can get to the guy before the cops do.

But all of it will have to wait. For now, Jimin has a date.

Two. Where do you get your fic ideas?

I have no idea. Sometimes I see an image and it inspires an idea. Sometimes I have dreams and magically remember them when I wake up. Sometimes you write amazing prompts and I spin them into gold. 😘🥰💖

Six. What’s the last line you wrote?

This question was previously asked, so here is the last thing I wrote on a different fic:

Jeongguk shrugs. “It’s too obvious. The killer is basically drawing a circle around obvious spots. When you think about it…it’s probably a trap.”

Ten. Do you work on multiple wips or stick to one fic at a time?

I work on anywhere from 2-10 wips at any given time lmao. You know how wild I am with fests. I am constantly overwhelmed and jumping around.

Eleven. Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around?

I write everything in order.

Twelve. Do you outline your fics? If yes, how detailed are your outlines? How far do you stray from them?

Sometimes I outline, but usually they’re beats I want to make sure I hit withough much description. Every time I try to outline, I deviate, so any outlines I do make tend to be pretty loose.

Twentyone. Do you prefer writing chaptered fics or one-shots?

I prefer chaptered fics when I can create a world, and I enjoy having something for people to look forward to or binge, and really get lost in. But it’s easier to drop oneshots and move on to new ideas. So......I guess there are benefits for both!

Twentytwo. How do you come up with titles?

I stress out a lot with titles. Often I complain to friends and they help me. @blog-name-idk especially has been great at helping me come up with titles lol.

Twentyseven. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?

I feel like I am great at building tension and anxiety. I enjoy writing those atmospheres a lot.

Twentynine. What’s something about your writing that you’re proud of?

It depends on the story! Sometimes I am proud of my imagery. Sometimes it’s my characters and dialogue. Always atmosphere and feeling.

Thirtyfive. What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted?

God, I feel like the answer to this is changes every five minutes, but during this minute right now, I am really in love with Sun Seeker.

Thirtyeight. What is your most self-indulgent posted story?

Bittersweet lmao.

Fortyfour. What is your favorite genre to write?

Horror! Angst. Anything dark and stressful and scary.

Fiftysix. Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

Sometimes I do go back in and tweak/edit older works, but there is nothing I would change in its entirety. I believed in whatever I put out there, at the time, so I stand by it, even if some of my older works are not as great as I think they could be with a rewrite.

Seventytwo. What’s your favorite writing compliment you’ve gotten?

When people tell me I convey fear, tension and unsettling atmospheres are my favorites. I feel like horror genres can be very difficult to nail, and it’s my favorite genre to consume, so to be told I am living up to my favorite genre is really lovely.

Seventyfive. Is there a particular fic that readers gravitated towards that you didn’t expect?

Boy Blueeeeeee. I cannot believe how popular that story got, compared to others. Like........I can believe it because I think I wrote a compelling story and made great characters, but it gets so insanely dark and people just love it. (But, as someone who consumes dark media, I get it. Maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised.)

Seventyeight. What motivates you during the writing process?

Looming deadlines.🙃 And wanting to give content to my readers because I love them.💜✨
