A kind universe

The wind knows the paths brushes have dragged through our hair. She recognizes the reverence and carries her fingers through locks with the same dedication. Strands puffed into gloss sticky lips, pulled away from a jovial grin.

The earth feels the stampede of our feet, our girlhoods chasing each other through fields of green devotion. Arms reaching, she feels as we slow and fall together, shoulders brushing as gasping breaths push our backs into the damp earth. Vibrations of love shake her crust as we reminisce with the clouds.

The forest listens as our giggles blow dandelion seeds through her branches. Hands pull flowers from the earth and our joy reunites the lost beauty with its maker. The trees listen as those petals we cheerfully disperse take root and begin new life.

The ocean tastes our tears shared amongst her waves. She savours the rivulets interrupted on cheeks too late, the sobs muffled into strong shoulders. She knows the flavour of our doubts and the words we spew to comfort each other just as well.

The universe knows how we have loved each other. She has been with us each moment, the air in our lungs, the soft growth under foot, the liquid cradle rocking us with her waves. We may be apart now but the stars we’ll always share, I will commune with them until I can hold you once again.

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.
