ok so firts things first we gotta go thru my absolute pride and joy- this is the placement that when i discovered it in my baby astrologer era i was like Omg thats so cool what-

we got mars and saturn in my 1st house ur honor (unless in whole sign houses in which case saturn is in my 2nd 💔)

i always loved saturn as a planet before i got into astrology n then i came 2 love it even more and this bad boy in my 1st house is why i am so petrified of losing who i am!!!! and my mars i think just makes me very energetic and driven tbh amongst many other things

ofc these 2 are largely responsible for a lot in my chart but that's the basics of what they do-

SECOND THING'S SEOCNDN-

my other pride and joy, my mercury in gemini 💞💞💞💞

i love mercury SO much and despite it largely being the reason for my adhd, it absolutely dominates my chart (along with my outer planets) and is so powerful that it colors my sun more gemini than taurus (especially since i literally dont have any other earth placement except for my lilith in virgo- im all water/fire/air 🙏🙏)

in whole sign houses it would be also be in my 12th house which makes so much sense for me bc i will psychoanalyze Everyone to an ungodly degree because i love learning how people fundamentally work and how things influence them- this and my jupiter in scorpio + moon/neptune in my 8th house is the reason for my love of psychology-

i was born in the pre shadow period of uranus retrograde btw so while i strongly feel the effects of it being in pisces, i also feel the effects of if it was in my 8th house-

uranus and neptune are both direct in my chart and they're also in mutual reception so they have a LOOOOOT of power in my chart especially if u read my neptune post where i said neptune actually rules cancer (and the moon rules pisces) bc then neptune is given more power via my cancer rising-

my pluto is actually In retrograde so i often have to read pluto in 5th house stuff bc i feel it way more than pluto in 6th house stuff- and like i said in my jupiter post that got fucking obliterated by god for some reason, my pluto is actually conjunct Sagittarius A* (the galaxy's black hole) with only a difference of 51 minutes, and it's in mutual reception with my jupiter in scorpio so there's a lOT going on there 💔💔💔

that pluto tho and probably jupiter too tbh is why whenever im doing something creative whether it be editing or writing or one of the other 5 billion things i do, i usually feel like i turn into some sort of conduit for something WAY bigger than myself and all my cancer energy amplifies it and makes whatever i do also have a very cathartic property to it!!!

since ive been super into astrology ive also looked at my mom's chart like 1 billion times and mine too and what i find fascinating is that she's a capricorn rising and i have saturn in my 1st house, and she has mars in cancer and venus in aries just like i do, but her mars is conjunct her descendant line just like mine is conjunct my ascendant line-

she's also saturn ruled as hell but she's an aries sun/mercury and u would THINK we would hate each other but no we literally have an unbreakable bond- i know the usual idea of like a capricorn mom vs a cancer child is Not Great but her and i make me wonder otherwise 😭😭😭

i have some extremely slay aspects ur honor- I like 2 think anyway-

my fav aspects i have are:

- sun conjunct mercury

and despite it being a hard aspect and a hard 10° orbit aspect,

even tho it's within 10° i still feel a Looot of influence from that one- i am a little delusional sometimes but my saturn in 1st does a good job of maintaining it and bringing me down to earth, but in my astrologer's handbook (my fav book 💔💔) it says, and i quote, "a well developed mercury and saturn will do much to offset the negative effects of this square" and i have both of those ur honor God bless holy shit id be off my FUCK without those 2 planets-

but then it continues and says "very often peculiar emotional desires and romantic tendencies are indicated, which can range from platonic love to the most morbid and debased physical type of sensuality." which THAT part i feel immensely- Nobody should ever look in my brain please 4 the love of god for ur sake n mine dont do it thwnk u-

But that's also probably bc i got the pluto influence right bc my neptune is in my 8th house- which btw im p sure pluto is exalted in Aquarius but i can get into that in another post probably-

“Hey Aid! When’s your shift ending?”

Every day you strolled through the medibay doors, and every day, no matter who was closest to said door, you would find First Aid.

“Hey Aid! I grabbed you some energon.”

And every day, First Aid would greet you with a brief wave. You would sit down on his desk, and do whatever quiet task suited your fancy.

“Hey Aid, I have a lot of paperwork to do. Can I hang out here?”

Underneath the mask, he smiled at the question. At this point, you already had your own little corner on his desk, decked out with everything from your very own human-sized desk, to an absurd amount of bean bag chairs for one person to occupy. Somehow, you always found a way, but come on, it was your space and you were going to do what you wanted, with First Aid in sight.

“Again? At least Ultra Magnus has decent handwriting.”

You couldn’t help but laugh. “What did you expect? Ratchet is an old doctor, he’s going to have the signature doctor handwriting.”

First Aid placed a data pad on his desk. “I mean, it’s an honor to work with him, but this paperwork is nearly unreadable.” He tapped the end of his stylus against its side.

Your drink rippled, and you smiled, taking a sip. “At least it isn’t a novel of the driest reading known to humankind.” You waved your mini-datapad with the roll of your wrist. “And I’ve read some pretty dry books.”

“Oh, definitely.” He fiddled with his mask, eventually slipping it off and placing it on the corner opposite to your space.

The next few hours flew by, in all honesty, loudly. It was almost like clock work: A bot would stumble in with some sort of absurd ailment (With all the stories that Aid had told you after hours at Swerve’s, your personal favorite was when Drift got his arm dented while doing backflips with Rodimus, as is the way of the Lost Light), one of the medics would sigh and take care of them. The moment they left, comments were made, and shanix changed hands. Repeat. In the end, you spent more time watching the chaos with First Aid than doing any of that oh so important paperwork (and shuffling through his issues of Wreckers Declassified, but that you two would take to your graves).

You and Aid settled back down in your respective spots after Whirl had walked in with a sword stuck in his shoulder. Without looking up from his datapad (you think), he hummed. “I’m surprised you don’t settle down in your office.”

You finish your drink with a prolonged sip. “And lose my mind trying to finish all this? Absolutely not.”

“But now you have to deal with the paperwork, and medibay shenanigans on a very accident prone ship.”

“Correction.” You point your stylus at him. “I get to hang out with you, with far more welcome interruptions than the stiff conversations I have with Megatron biweekly.” You sigh with a soft smile, staring down into your empty cup. “Something about you is just different, which is a sappy way to say that you are never getting rid of me.”

First Aid chuckled. “You say that like I’d ever wish to be rid of you.”

Those were the final words spoken before you both went back to work, and First Aid’s shift came to an end. You both got a drink from Swerve’s.

You and Aid walked out of Swerve’s laughing, with you perched on his shoulder.

“I can’t believe that Rodimus tried to go up against Trailcutter.”

First Aid nodded. “Really? It’s absolutely the kind of thing Rodimus would do. At least we don’t have to pump anyone's fuel tanks…again.”

Your eyes widened in playful shock. “Wouldn’t that be the third time this week? It’s only Tuesday.”

“Again, Lost Light shenanigans.”

“Yeah,” You started as he approached the door to your habsuite. “Lost Light shenanigans. Take care.” You waved goodbye to him as you punched in your lock code.

“You too.” First Aid waved back with a smile as he headed back the direction you had come (His habsuite was really not that far from Swerve’s, or at least closer than yours was)

1.3k words, fem reader, sfw, slightly suggestive (nothing major), 18+, mdni, fluff & a teeny tiny bit of angst (i can't help myself), smoking, alcohol mention; i love putting sanji in situations that ruin his life <3 except this isn't very life ruining but it could be; reader is just as obtuse as he is; nami, robin, brook, luffy, and zoro make appearances!

it takes four cigarettes, two full cups of tea, and a shot of vodka for his nerves to settle — not entirely, but enough for him to breathe properly. it’s frenetic, an incessant buzzing underneath his skin — pricking him sporadically, the energy that builds forces a momentum to power through him, which is the cause of his pacing. the sunny isn’t nearly long enough, nor expansive enough for sanji to rid himself of this excessive amount of energy.

nerves, he tells himself bitterly, just nerves. nothing serious.

a fifth cigarette truly drives his point home, the smoke clinging to his shirt, convincing him otherwise.

he’s not sure what brought about the anxiety; maybe it’s because he’s not entirely convinced that you agreed to go out with him genuinely — surely it’s primarily because of your charitable personality, where you take pity on the less fortunate. a frown settles on his lips, a sliver of smoke easing its way out of his parted lips, that familiar ache in his chest has his thoughts spiraling for the duration of the morning.

no matter how many times you seek him out, he’s always busy, always in the middle of conversation — almost as if he’s choosing to deliberately avoid you. it’s a bit disheartening, but you try to rationalize and shoo away those pesky feelings of doubt. you’re sure you’re overthinking it, and he’s sure he’s not thinking enough about everything.

with the ship sitting quietly near an abandoned shore, your crew mates gather supplies to build a bonfire. you tell nami, robin, and brook beforehand that you’re stealing sanji away for the day — luffy and zoro overhear, with the former complaining because who will cook our pirate lunches now? and the latter snickering to himself about how the idiot cook’s absence will make the bonfire better.

you ignore them both, prepare for your outing. brook helps with your hair, robin with your makeup, and nami with your outfit. while you could’ve done it yourself, you’re much too nervous to keep your hands steady. the trio teases you about it, brook in particular laughing too loud which prompts nami to kick him out immediately. the mirror reveals a much more delicate version of yourself, one that has your cheeks flushing — although, you’ll convince yourself later it’s just the blush that robin applied earlier — and makes you reconsider the entire thing.

“no, no,” nami says firmly, grabbing your arm and half-dragging you out of your room. “it’s about damn time you two sort this out, so go. shoo!” robin laughs softly in the background, wishes you all the luck — even ominously mentioning to keep your wits about you.

just in case, she adds afterwards.

not wanting to dwell on her foreboding tone, you walk quickly off of the ship to meet sanji.

in a fresh set of clothes, hair coiffed to his liking, sanji reminds himself to breathe. it won’t do if he can’t even manage to get through this outing, especially since nami already assured him that no one would bother them for the rest of the afternoon. he wonders if she secretly has a vested interest in wanting him to succeed — but, really, it’s that she thinks you two are a good match. very rarely do unions come together so nicely, and since the rest of your crew mates can be immature, she threatened them all to keep quiet or else.

you appreciate her dedication, even laugh to yourself when you see luffy struggle to keep his comments and questions to himself. already all of your doubt melts away, clearing your head, allowing you the capacity to fully soak up the sight of sanji. it’s actually painfully obvious how much you like him — well, except to him — and now that he’s asked you out, you’re nervous that he’ll find that he really doesn’t want to spend time with you.

but, robin assured you one night, that yours was not a one-sided tragic love affair, but one that has the potential to end in happiness. you laughed at her words, although her expression was resolute, almost as if she truly believed that. you avoided her for a few days after that, not liking the way her words stamp onto your skin — like ink, permeating deeply, infiltrating your thoughts, controlling your actions — and make it difficult to talk to him.

during that time, he assumed he did something to upset you, and worked tirelessly to make it up to you. the guilt sits on your chest when you stand in front of him, his smile — a dazzling, dizzying affair — greets you. a warmth you desperately try to ignore, that incinerates the residual resilience you built towards him over the years, exponentially grows in strength when he offers his arm for you to take. your eyes drift lower and you grab his hand instead, lacing your fingers together and gently tugging so he can walk with you.

“c’mon,” you insist, trying to ignore the way your cheeks continue to betray you, the flush barely noticeable until you turn your face. you can feel the curious gazes of your nosy crew mates on your back and you ignore them, ignore the way sanji is looking at you, perplexed — as if he can’t quite figure you out — and insist that he walks now.

“what’s the rush?” he says after you walk with him for a bit, “we have all afternoon.” not that it matters much to him, he’s just really happy you’re indulging his selfishness. and if you knew that that’s what he was calling it — you’d convince him otherwise. it’s not selfish to want to spend time with someone you care for, especially when you’ve known them for a while.

the town is relatively quiet when you head to the shopping plaza; he scoped out the area earlier, found various places for you to visit — ones he was sure you’d like — and eventually his nerves settle down at last. you’re in the middle of lunch at a café, quietly sipping on your drink, when he admits that he didn’t know why you agreed to come out with him.

“don’t get me wrong, i’ve always wanted to spend more time with you,” he continues, fingers drumming along the table — a nervous habit, you note and look at him carefully. there are more things he wants to say, but can’t; it’s not the right time, nor is it the right place, but you interject anyway.

“sanji,” say slowly, hands moving to smooth down the nonexistent wrinkles on your skirt. if you don’t tell him now, you’ll always find a reason not to in the future. so, you just blurt it all out. “i like you, that’s why.”

silence hangs between you and you fear you’ve said the wrong thing; did you misinterpret things? was robin wrong? your skin pales as your mind pummels you with possibilities and unease sidles along the bottom of your stomach. but when you look up at him again, you realize his silence isn’t out of any inherent disgust or discomfort, but because he’s still processing what you said.

splotches of pink take permanent residence on his face, neck, and ears. your brows raise slightly and you find yourself laughing softly — at your own stupidity to see the truth for what it was. you reach a hand out and grab his again, thumb caressing his skin with slow swipes. somehow, all of that calms him down, and he’s able to look at you properly.

“right,” he clears his throat, but elation takes over and he can’t think straight, “i like you too.” which is a given, but since you said it, the natural course of action is for him to say it too. you know that when you get back to the ship, there will be so many questions, but you’ll cross that bridge later. for now, you’ll enjoy the remainder of the afternoon without any interference from the others, and make the sort of memories that you’ll add to your arsenal of mini-lullabies to keep you comfy late at night.

Out of everything I've ever written this is my number one fic! It was my first time writing something involving Rosi and it turned out better than I could ever imagine! I really like how I characterized Rosi and his opinions on Gladius, as well as having drawn a few comparisons between the two of them which gave it a little more depth.

This was also the first fic in which I went more in depth about Gladius' mental well being and in which way being part of the family has effected him, which is something I'm definitely going to be doing more often!

Summary: On a rainy day, one of the worst thing that could happen to a devil fruit user happened, causing nothing but panic and distress.

This fic was the start of me spiraling into an obsession with making Baby 5 suffer as well, after this I just couldn't stop thinking of ideas to make the poor girl go through hell and back, mostly mentally😅

Though aside from that, this fic was so fun to write! I've never written anything like this before so it had been somewhat of a challenge to turn the idea into a good story, and I think I did a good job doing so!

I also really like the part of the fic in which Gladius immediately tried to jump into the ocean without even a second thought just to save Baby 5, which could be interpreted as him him not thinking logically in a very hight stress situation, or him just being so ready to almost throw away his life like it was nothing, which is very fun to think about.

The only downside to it is that I made Gladius a bit ooc, but who cares! We didn't get to see a large range of emotions from him in the serie so I have the freedom to make it all up!
