1. Natal Chart Observations

1. Libra Moon: decision paralysis that comes from feeling two contradicting ways about an issue. “I want my cake but I want to eat it too.” I feel like libra moons are the most sentimental of the air moon signs. Libra moons can constantly weigh out the pros and cons for every emotion you feel. “I want to do this but I don’t want to deal with how messy it’ll make things.” When libra moons are feeling a little lost, they can over-schedule themselves and their commitments to friends to avoid thinking about overly-vulnerable feelings. There is zero tolerance for imbalance in relationships. Poor behavior from a partner will be met with matched behavior to tip the scales back to a balanced one, even if the overall locational of the scale is descending into negativity. “You get what you give” mentality. Libra moons can be keen on the idea of karma. “Come to me with sweetness, or don’t come to me at all.” Daydreaming about romance is a relaxing way to pass time. Before maturity, libra moons might suffer from social anxieties when they find themselves in group settings where there isn’t a cohesive vibe. If someone around a libra moon doesn’t look like they are having a good time, it subconsciously makes it difficult for a libra moon to relax. The libra moon will then play the role of a diplomat or host/hostess to ensure the vibes equalize to restore their peace.

2. Mars in the 10th house: these natives are always making money. They are known for their side hustles too. They are always looking for new ways to make money and I feel like they are good at getting clientele. They will get their hands dirty for their job. For a man, this can point to a “blue collar ‘manly’ job.” I noticed 10H mars can be pretty generous with their money and services, but feel extremely terrible about getting help from others. If these natives aren’t confident where they are in their career or skill set(s), I noticed that they are likely to undersell themselves or undercharge for their services/time. It can also point to people in the workplace as perceiving the 10H mars person to be brash and outspoken. The authority figures in their career can feel a sense of competition with the 10H mars person, or wants to humble them in some way. I feel like it’s really easy for them to get good jobs or climb up the ladder when they do things the right way. They get impatient when they aren’t growing in their careers as fast as they want to. “Why am I not a millionaire yet.” They work hard for what they want and are very ambitious once they find their niche. I feel like these are often people who can find jobs that don’t necessarily need a degree. Their career mistakes feel explosive. They can be seen as “sharks” in their fields because they go in for the attack. They like to be the best and the most competent at what they do, and want their colleagues to see them as competition. “I’m the best and no one will tell me otherwise.” They can be known for being assertive and extremely determined in meeting their goals. They will work themselves to the core and utilize all their energy towards elevating themselves career and reputation wise.

3. Mars in the 1st House: These people might often be noticed for their bodies. They might be seen as someone you shouldn’t mess around with. They look athletic. Maybe they are known for fitness or for being athletic. These natives can be associated with the military, and probably look incredible in their uniforms. This is a man-eater or womanizer placement, for sure. “I get what I want when I want it.” They look like they have a rough exterior, even if they are sweethearts. They can be into martial arts. Commanding presence. They can make wonderful personal trainers. Regardless of gender, they can come off as being comfortable with their masculine energy. Reds look great on them. They might have thick eyebrows and a nice jawline. They look attractive when they are angry. They know how to make someone feel sexy. They have people chasing them or falling for them fast.

4. Pisces and 12th house placements: these people have no problem ghosting you. Pisces placements and 12H placements are always made out to be innocent and naive, but they are attracted to people and situations that have something a little “bad” about them. Savior complex. They can go through feelings where they feel detached from social settings and those they love, where they cannot fully escape the role of observer. They will always be able to fully escape into their internal landscape and get consumed by it— but it seems as though no matter how hard they try, they can’t have that same presence in the material world. This can lead to frustrating feelings of disconnection from the world and people around them. They can be smiling and staring off, but you will never fully know what they are thinking. They can make people really curious about them, because their thoughts always catch you off guard. Having an existential crisis on the daily. Casual things might have a bigger internal meaning to them that others might not always understand. We can find plenty of people attractive, but if the spark isn’t felt in the soul and doesn’t pique a deep curiosity, we will get bored and swim away. Liking people who are a bit “mean and dark” but wanting them to be sweet and soft with you. Using music to paint your daydreams, or to escape. Finding music that relates almost entirely to whatever they have on their mind feels like striking gold. They can like someone just for having the same interests as them. Feeling like a ghost in a flesh suit. Enigmatic. Can embody different vibes and personas depending on who they are around. They are sensitive and can adapt to the situations at hand. Too much self awareness can lock them in their heads. “I only jump into waters with the depth of an abyss.” Laying down for hours just to daydream and process your thoughts. Long baths feel like therapy. Moderation isn’t in our vocabulary. We love what we like, and we want to get lost in what we love. Not being able to properly process your day or interactions until you’re alone and can replay them in isolation.

5. Taurus Placements: I noticed Taurus moon women get spoiled financially by their partners. The type for their partners to say “don’t worry, I’ll work and you can be at home,” or that being their partners goal at a point. I noticed Taurus placements can enjoy the occasional shoplifting. They are not going to compromise their comfort, and if you come after that it will be met with intense stubbornness. They can seem nonchalant about a lot of things, but can be extremely unwavering in their opinions on certain things. In some cases, they can have strange eating habits or relationship to food. Thankfully, the Tauruses I’ve been around don’t project that on those around them. It’s more internal from what I’ve noticed, and they can enjoy feeding those they love and care for. They can have great taste in food. They love sensual vices and sex. They look great with pearls. They master an aesthetic and can stick to it. They are fiercely protective of those they love. They can be lazy at their worst and will not want to do anything that requires too much effort. They can be impressively good at couponing. Making money from home is the ideal setup for them. They will spoil their loved ones too, and can be great gift givers. They don’t cheap out with presents for their loved ones. They get much enjoyment from decorating their spaces and hosting their loved ones. They can be prone to overthinking and some may obsessive behaviors or crippling anxiety as well. They can honestly make the best scammers, as terrible as that sounds. They can sell someone a dream and make it sound beautiful, but can be lying through their teeth. Their jealousies can sometimes come from a place of vanity. Watch out for envying others, and appreciate your own beauty. They can focus so much on the beauty around them they forget about their own. They can be the image of beauty and grace, or strive deeply for that. They have pretty and soothing voices. Taurus placements can easily be the funniest person you know when they are in a joyful mood. I also noticed Taurus placements are wonderful at finding vintage pieces and re-selling them!

basic astro observations and opinions

we can all agree that cusps aren't necessarily real, but i've noticed that people who are born about a day or two before the sun moves into the next sign, possess similar qualities to the previous sign.

the first house has a lot more to do with the bodily health of an individual rather than the sixth house. after all, the first house sets the tone for one's natal chart and is literally you (physical body) while the sixth house represents daily routines and services. (maintenance, diet, care of the body).

water & air mars natives can be a lot more aggressive and/or snappy than fire & earth mars natives.

water signs aren't as emotional as y'all make them out to be.

i can agree that a scorpio moon is debilitated, but i disagree about its expression. i feel as though scoprio moon natives can feel their emotions very deeply, and they do have a layer of emotional intensity.

any planet that is debilitated or has hard aspects is a major opportunity for growth and development. once you learn to work with those energies, your life will be a lot smoother.

you'll never be able to fully heal your chiron wounds, but they do become easier to manage. not only that, but the topics pertaining to your chiron will allow you to become a professional in experience, so you can help others in correspondence to your chiron themes.

if scorpio can represent control, taurus can represent binging. wherever your taurus-scorpio axis is can show you where you feel the need to be more in control vs where you can potentially binge.

human nature is flawed, so this means that a sign's energy will never be perfectly manifested since it's in contact with human nature. if one judges a sign based only on a person's behavior, they can be judging the effects of human nature on the sign rather than the sign itself. a lot of people do not take the person out of astrology before giving their interpretations, thus, distorting and diluting astrology to one's personal experience rather than what it is at its core. it's one thing to joke about signs and discuss your experiences with certain energies, but to allow that to distort your perception and interaction with people, prohibits you from experiencing different energies and it's unfair.

Pluto in first house - some observations about this interesting placement

What planets are responsible for dark academia vibes? Generally I've found pluto is a major player which is why I do quite a lot of pluto related posts on here. The other main ones are saturn, mars (oddly enough, but academia can be cutthroat), and uranus. Neptune can be to an extent but not as much and mostly points towards humanities and liberal arts.

I noticed that at least two people ( @augustinerose @auroraplume) who commented on one of my previous posts had pluto in the first house. Thanks to you both for the support and hope you don't mind me shouting you out here!Pluto is a scorpionic planet, but the first house is one of the less scorpionic houses. I personally have pluto in the fourth house which is interesting too as the fourth house is one you would think stereotypically is not very plutonic or scorpionic in any way. Like the first house it can indicate interesting hidden stuff that you might not expect.

So in honour of spotting these weird patterns and interesting aspects I've done another little pluto breakdown here:

Generally any time pluto or any other 'occult' outer planet is in a house that you wouldn't expect it to go with, expect interesting patterns to be revealed. For example:

Pluto in first house: can indicate something cryptic, occult, or hidden to do with image and identity

At it's most literal level it can indicate a job or social role related to the occult. For example someone who is a spy, criminologist, works in government, tarot reader, astrologer, works in data, or so on. Anything that involves dealing with large volumes of info where there may be hidden stuff. Yet can also indicate the job itself is hidden such as someone who has a day job and moonlights as something else, or someone who is hiding their line of work because their peers or family don't approve (such as someone who wants to become a musician, poet, actor or suchlike but faces social pressure)

If not your job it can also point to core aspects that may be hidden or occult. This CAN be a placement of clairsentience, paranormal, and psychic happenings but doesn't have to be. This can be the closet to do with gender or sexuality but also to do with other core aspects of ourselves such as potentially masking neurodivergencies or even simply hiding events or occurances that have had a formative impact on us.

At a more metaphorical level here are some random things this placement can point to:

• secret diaries

• drastic curveballs in life (e.g. discovery of long lost relatives)

• 'social chameleon' personality

How does Pluto compare with other first house placements?

• tends to be deeper, more sinister, and more visceral than uranus and neptune in the first house. There is a genuine occult and slightly dangerous element to pluto in first house vs uranus, which can indicate lots of changes in life but ones that are within our control, pluto can indicate changes and wildcard events that are outside our control

• can be very go getting, socially shrewd, and a 'dark horse' but in a much less obvious way than mars. Mars in the first house can be assertive and successful but this tends to happen in a public or leadership role. if mars is the emperor, pluto in the first house is the power behind the throne. combine the two in the first house and you can end up with a personality that is revolutionary and controversial in leadership positions. this doesn't have to indicate world changing stuff it just could indicate a smart but controversial musician or leader of a band or director of a film - a head of department who makes polarising decisions for their subordinates etc - either way, these are people to look out for and keep on your side.

• pluto vs venus - venus will have an obvious aesthetic that they demonstrate physically. pluto in first house may not or may have very different aspects of their identity, for example living a normal life and then travelling abroad on a shoestring but without telling anyone. you may enter the home of someone with pluto in the first house and be surprised at what you find, such as a strange collection, or huge investment like an eccentric hobby, but not as much visible luxury as venus

• mercury in the first house may find thenselves in a role with lots of data or communications but has less access to the hidden side of affairs. for example - mercury will find themselves as the presenter of a tv show, youtube channel, or podcast. pluto will be on the editing team and responsible for a sustained social media campaign to push the channel. lots of access to people's data.

• pluto and saturn in first house can have similar tastes depending on their environment. in universities, college, and so on they may both be heavily involved with faculty and alma mater history but for very different reasons. saturn will preserve the traditions for traditions sake. pluto will investigate the history of a secret society, controversial book or paper, or unusual theory. may both like old varnished wooden furnishings and dark heavy fabrics, but for pluto it's much more of an aesthetic. Pluto could be an indiana Jones extra. Saturn is more likely to be a member of Hogwarts faculty.

Another random pluto fact:

Pluto in the first house makes for one of the most intriguing and unpredictable charts. It is honestly very hard to tell much about the lives these people may lead from their chart, even when other placements are accounted for.

You may have to look at multiple different placements as well as the aspects and other interactions of the chart. Even then there can be many layers as to how events play out. Events like the solar, saturn, and lunar return are very important to make sense of these charts. It can help to do a tarot reading to clarify.

Solar Eclipse: Leaving Old Wounds Behind!

Leaving old ways of being behind.

We are having a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aries on the 8th of April, packing power and punch, power to the people, with power, literally returning to the people. Which people? Those who are fed up with the oppressive power structures that are. How will it be returned? We take it back, with both hands!

We are the main characters.

The Eclipse is at 19 degrees Aries and according to degree theory, the 19th degree is associated with Libra, so the theme around this eclipse is You and I and We. I see this eclipse energy as a collective power struggle and not singular, meaning you are not alone in your feelings and experiences. We are now active participants on the world stage, rather than passive observers.

This new moon energy feels like an activation, a recharge of your batteries. It feels like you have been living life at 75%. However, with the letting go of the past and healing over the last two years, it now feels like you are living at 90% battery.

This is in part due to the collective healing work we have been doing. The generational wounds of colonialism, and capitalism have played a significant role. Also, those white-washing spiritual wellness capitalists... you get it, sound ridiculous. This spiritual decluttering is why we feel more energized. It is time for the hoarders to declutter their space, clean out the old. The ascendant is the sign that cusps the first house upon the time of your birth. The ascendant (with the sign included) reflect the qualities of the sign in the moment, it reflects how we appear and how we approach life. I often view the ascendant as synonymous with the first house; as both reflect how we appear and how we express ourselves outwardly.

Although the ascendant represents the lenses that we use to view the world, the sign the ascendant is in gives it the color we use to perceive the world.

Take for instance an adventure seeking Sagittarius rising, that perceives the world through a means to learn, explore and grow, or an Aries rising who perceives the world in which action (will or drive) and decisiveness are must haves to properly pursue a goal. Both are similar in signs but different in approach to how they interact with the world around them. Now different aspects affect how the ascendant portrays your experiences, take for example mars in the first house/asc in the first house. This is often seen as a native who naturally takes the lead and is quite noticeable, they radiate independence and have got the zest and drive to seize their goals , although it may also play out as a native who may be short tempered, impulsive and could easily become defensive, whereas a Saturn rising may take a slow approach towards life and may be cautious, steady and come across as more mature or look more mature than they really are, Saturn could also delay or withhold self expression in the first and could make you appear more aloof and fiercely independent but also dedicated and enduring since some natives with this aspect may have had to go through rough experiences.

Now that we've gotten past the ascendant let's move unto it's opposite sign, the descendant. The sign that falls on the 7th house cusp. Whilst the ascendant refers to what and how we see and express ourselves, the descendant reflects how we view and seek for in others. Think of it as light and day or yin and Yang, these two form a polarity which are interchangeably linked, it balances the traits we have from the ascendant.

Take for examples:

Aries rising and libra descendant: where Aries is rising then and the opposite sign, Libra, will be on the Descendant, urges the person to balance constant autonomy with some level of consideration for another person.

Taurus rising and Scorpio descendant: This means that strong and intense emotions (Scorpio) will be evoked in a relationship. Jealousy and possessiveness can be volatile to many interpersonal problems, Scorpio here forces them to look inward, to probe hidden motivations and underlying causes in order to transform the way they use their power.

Gemini rising and Sagittarius descendant: this means, through a relationship/partnership, they are offered another person’s philosophical frame or able to absorb new ideas and philosophies from a friend or partner in which they understand, explore and interpret life. In short, other people often provide the sense of overall purpose which the Gemini Ascendant cannot find on its own.

Cancer rising and Capricorn descendant: This means the ever changing and emotional cancer rising who’s often swept away by upsurges of emotion and feeling can control this by maintaining a relationship which demands that they differentiate between which emotions are appropriate and useful and which should be filtered or kept under control. Through a partnership or relationship, a structure is built (cap dsc), into which the otherwise random and volatile feelings of Cancer can flow freely.

Leo ascendant Aquarius descendant: this means having an Aquarius dsc the Leo rising, will be confronted by people or situations which will urge that life be viewed and explored from a perspective other than that of their own. Aquarius on the 7th suggests that one-to-one relationships are a training ground for the sharing and promoting of common goals, this in turn neutralizes the possibility of the overly self-centred or egotistical slant of a Leo rising.

Virgo ascendant and Pisces descendant : In here there is the danger of becoming so obsessive about order , structure, correctness and precision that a person may start to become rigid and lose that flare and flow, Pisces here works as a form to that teaches the Virgo that it’s okay to relax and rest a bit, let go of control, and let yourself indulge occasionally, it encourages Virgo to relate with others and themselves with more compassion and let go of normally critical and harsh expectations set upon them and others.

Libra ascendant and Aries descendant: In here, natives are drawn to more Aries or Martian partners, as they exemplify the natives Libran qualities. In here, if the partner is direct and assertive, then the Libran Ascendant will have to learn to adjust and make concessions or adjustments. However, if the other person or the partner becomes too selfish, pushy and demanding, then Libra rising learns to stand up for themselves and demand the Libran traits of fairness and balance.

Scorpio ascendant and Taurus descendant: here the Scorpio must challenge, attack and reform, Taurus is patient, stable, down-to-earth and relentless. how love flows through the houses

first house - in the first house, love flows through us from the first breath. we aren’t always loved by those around us, or by ourselves, but i believe we are at our best when love is in all that we do, and all that we are. the first house rules selfhood; our identity, instincts and reactions, our outward expression. from birth, we naturally seek out attachment and love, and this need never really leaves us, simply changing shape over the years. the first house asks us to be the loving adult we needed as children. to treat ourselves with the love we deserve as humans. it asks us to be ourselves, radically and relentlessly, and not to shrink or hide ourselves from the world. it asks us to be.

second house - the second house is where we find love in our immediate surroundings. it’s how we value ourselves, how we value those around us. the security and comfort we feel in the womb, and later, when we find our true home. it’s feeling safe in our own skin, nourishing and embracing ourselves, letting down an anchor within that we can always return to when times are hard and chaos rules our lives. the love of the second house is found through seeing the inherent worth we have as human beings. it’s love that comes from enough; have enough, feel enough, good enough.

third house - in the third house, love is expressed through curiosity, communication, connections. the questioning eyes of an eager child, the first time you met your childhood best friend, staying up all night to finish a new book. it isn’t a romantic kind of love, but the love that we have for our siblings, our friends, our hometown. there’s a sense of nostalgia to it; it’s pure and sweet and a little silly at times. life can often shame and sweep this type of love away as we get older and have to conform to ever-shifting goalposts. the love of the third house comes from a deep desire to understand, and a keenness to connect with the world - and people - around us. we feel it most when we communicate honestly with ourselves and others, and allow ourselves to be beginners.

fourth house - love in the fourth house feels like sitting under a blanket while a storm blares outside. it’s safety, warmth, a soft, sleepy embrace. it’s the faultless environment of the womb. the fourth house is associated with family, and its love is unconditional, like a family’s should be. we aren’t always blessed with good relatives, but i believe we find our true families throughout life, and that they will love us truly and simply, with no airings attached. we feel the love of the fourth house when we nurture the small, soft parts of ourselves and treat them with the love they missed out on earlier; when we are with our family, whoever they may be; when we are curled up in a corner and everything is okay for now.

fifth house - in the fifth house, it’s easy to see love; it’s all about what we create, what we adore and admire, what we breathe life into. it’s a light, sparkling kind of love, that fills us with a glow and a sense of belonging. it is a love to be shared freely and enthusiastically, to show off a little. when we create a work of art, when we connect with a person for the first time, when we make someone’s day, when we hold a newborn for the first time and see how fragile and beautiful they are, we are embodying the spirit of love in the fifth house. we can honour it by showing ourselves respect, kindness, and pride, by being generous and passionate, by having firsts and by having fun along the way.

sixth house - now we plant our feet back on the ground and find ourselves in the sixth house. love here is much more subtle, but we see it through service; what we do for ourselves, our loved ones, our environment. i would say the theme is devotion, not necessarily in the religious sense, though religion is a divine kind of love in and of itself; but we devote ourselves through selfless, timeless love, and that is exactly the spirit of the sixth house. why do we tend a garden? why do we take in animals? why do we kiss a scraped knee? it all comes from love. when we dedicate ourselves to living at a kinder pace, to taking the time to breathe, to finding the ritualistic in the mundane and to creating a sustainable way of living for ourselves and our loved ones, we are full of love.

seventh house - the seventh house is all about partnership. it’s one of the houses that is almost always associated with love, because it traditionally rules our marriage partner and is ruled by venus and libra. but there’s more to love than marriage, and that’s why i like to say partnership instead. you could say that love is expressed in the seventh house through one-on-one connections; both romantically and otherwise, this is where we love the individuals we journey through life with. it’s all about that red thread that runs between you and them. there’s an intimacy and uniqueness to each relationship here, where you and they are reflected at each other. the love of the seventh house is most clearly felt in those moments when there is nothing else in the world but the two of you.

eighth house - the eighth house is another one that’s often associated with love, though of a less cerebral type than its predecessor. we generally think of the physical here, and that’s not wrong, but perhaps misses an important piece of the puzzle; the eighth house rules shared resources. our bodies are a resource when it comes to love, but really, what we are sharing is trust, vulnerability, the binding of two souls as one. when we meet in the middle with love at the forefront, we give a piece of ourselves, and receive a piece of our lover. we each become the missing piece of the other, transforming ourselves on a level we may or may not feel. love here can be murky, but it runs deep and wild.

ninth house - in the ninth house, we find a subtle, cool love. it isn’t fiery or romantic, but it is ageless and transcendent. the ninth house is all about wisdom, exploration, religion, travel. love here is best felt when we do what we love; when we are learning, growing, moving. stagnation is no good here, and the ninth house shows us we need to be challenged a little in order to become our best selves. it doesn’t mean we need to suffer, but when everything is easy, we stop learning and we stop really living. being honest, explorative, open-minded and passionate is the way to embody this patient, unorthodox kind of love.

tenth house - here, we find love through legacy. what have we built? what have we become? the fire within that helped us grow through our challenges, that helped us find our place and master it, and allowed us to build something worth keeping, is where love resides. it’s that little voice inside that urges us forward when everything is dark. it’s ambition, courage, patience and diligence. we see it in good leaders, in kind parents. love here isn’t always pretty, but it is real. it asks us to create something to leave behind, to pass our love down. it asks us to take control of our destiny and then to relinquish it to our descendants.

eleventh house - in the eleventh house, love is felt and expressed through ideas. the nurturing and sharing of ideas and ideals is what helps us build community; it’s what allows us to better the lives of who and what we love. love is fostered through collaboration, and the eleventh house, ruling friends, community and the widest of our social connections, is all about collaborative effort. i believe that the eleventh house teaches us that love isn’t always easy. it’s work, it involves a lot of slowing down and showing up, a lot of listening, it can be slow and tedious. but love is about wanting to be our best selves, and share our best with the ones we love.

twelfth house - pure, infinite, unconditional love. it's unspoken, untouched, but ever-present. it follows us from the first to the last breath, and wraps itself around us like a silken shroud as we step into the next life. we often don't feel this universal love, not consciously; it's a part of everything. do we feel the oxygen in the air we breathe? well, we feel the lack of it. but here in the twelfth house, there is no lack of love. like its ruling sign of pisces, it’s deep, far beyond our consciousness, and draws from infinite pools of unconditional, true love. we embody it by being vulnerable, kind, and finding the lyricism in the everyday.
