So, I wanna talk about an interesting concept in Dnd that has really got my urban fantasy brain go burrr..

So, in Dnd there is a background called giant folding that really got my urban fantasy brain going. Imagine being raised by beings that are much Much larger than you and knowing how to use large objects better than smaller objects. Especially moving into a place like a city, while they might feel fine with the looming skyscrapers and apartment high-rises but, it's also claustrophobic. While being use to the open spaces of a large home with items and people much much bigger than you being in a cramped city would be more stressful at most.

Giants and dragons have so much in common I kinda feel bad that they’re usually portrayed as enemies or pest of one another. Though they have some things in common.

They are big

They horde treasures

They have certain feelings about humans.

So, why can’t be a friends? Maybe a lone dragon who’s traveling across the land observing humans stumbles across a giant doing the same thing. Both have different views on humanity but, still have a strange bond with how humans see them as monsterous beings. They are monsters. They are seen as beast in humans eyes but, together they were just like the tiny humans that feared them. They had hopes, dreams and wondered about life. The Dragon see humans as pest who just go about their day doing harm to the environment not keeping the balance of nature whine the giant sees humans as curious tiny toys who do strange yet interesting things yet, are so tiny and cute that they should be treasured. Both having differing views of humans one of destruction and the other of god like curiosity they slowly learn about one another’s past becoming close.

While mortals might not see them as human, they see each other as equals…Friends even.
