One of the many reasons I end up preferring the Ever After High books to the webisobes/specials a-lot: because its the only media to acknowledge the fucked up elephant in the room that is, "oh yeah, the parents of characters like Apple and Ashlynn are going to die because destiny calls for it."

#like you got snow crying in apple's room when kitty is randomly teleporting all over the place in her short story #likely because not only she misses apple #but legacy year means shes being reminded of how little time she has left with apple #before she has to die so apple can be snow white #while ashlynn in her story is confirmed to not like thinking about her moms predestined early death #since it obviously upsets her #and its just #imagine being a kid having to sign a destiny where your parent is required to die #and your parent is aware of this as well but both of you believe it has to be done because destiny #like the same books that quickly said 'uh im sure our fairytale will be whatever and destiny will find a way' #to raven asking wait wont she become apples stepmom #also just said 'oh yeah those parents have to die'

It is difficult to argue that [Edward IV] was wrong in what he did. His advancement of [Richard of Gloucester] can be criticized only by those who believe that the only good nobleman is an impotent nobleman. Medieval kings did not think in these terms. In the immediate sense, Gloucester must take final responsibility for what happened in 1483. However one explains the motives behind his actions, things happened because he chose that they should: there is nothing in the previous reign which compelled him to act as he did.

*Richard was also, yk, Edward's own brother who had been entirely loyal during his life. The problem wasn’t that Edward trusted Richard, the problem is that Richard broke that trust in a horrible and unprecedented way to usurp a 12-year-old. Please understand the difference.

It if it was a more gradual desire then his depowering #of the Woodvilles by exploiting Mowbray & Howard discontent would not have not affected *Edward V's* ascension or prospects) #ie: the problem isn't that discontent existed with a few specific nobles (that was normal) the problem was how Richard took advantage of it #In theory this sort of thing would have been a potential threat for ANY heir to the throne whether they were a minor or an adult #In itself it's not really unique to Edward and it's silly when historians criticize him and him alone for it. It was more or less standard. #(if anything the fact that he was able to do them so successfully is an indication of his authority) #We come back to Horspool's point: 'Without one overriding factor' - Richard's initiative and actions - 'none of this could have happened.' #which is where this analysis of Horrox's comes in :)

Eyo guys how do you enjoy a generation before starting a new one? My brain wants to rush but I've been taking my time and trying to complete all of my sims aspirations before they get married as well as the legacy hiers get to know the parents of thier bae and vise versa. Basicly I know I am anticipating g3, but I just got done having g2 on a whole fan fiction rpg like situation where they almost died. So like epilog stuff😅. Anyways if anyone has tips for me to slow it down before ramping it up to the next generation lemme know plz owo?

Why did we as a society feel the need to discontinue ever after high

#like think about it their biggest shtick is the royals vs rebels thing but at the end of the day neither side is good or bad? #like. I don’t think they pushed ‘rebels good royals bad’ from what I remember? they are literally Teens making their own decisions at the #end of the day. Raven is a rebel bc she doesn’t want to inherit her moms legacy and wants to be a good person without her destiny deciding #what kind of person she should be #and apple stays on the royals bc she’s content with her destiny probably even looking forward to it #and that’s fine they have their reasons! I don’t know I just think that’s really cool #and yeah sometimes there’s like actual antagonists but they didn’t make it so one WHOLE side was better and the other was bad #it was a really nice gray area like some royals and rebels were mean but that didn’t make all of the rebels mean. they’re just people #also I think I remember Ashlynn changed from royal to rebel and I think that’s cool. your goals can change and you shouldn’t feel pressured #to keep pretending to be something that doesn’t fulfill you as a person yanno? #also touched on more niche fables like the three billy goats gruff and the pied piper instead of #Disney promoting their own takes on fairytales.
