It didn’t take him too long to find them, Xavier's professional but demanding energy was enough to get the nurses at the front desk to tell him where the other was being kept. Getting the call from the hospital hadn’t been the surprise it had been whom the call had pertained to, in an instant Xavier had stopped what he had been doing to quickly make his way to the hospital. He couldn’t help the protectiveness he still felt over them, that was likely the most difficult thing to ignore– aside from the feelings he denied himself. 

Moving through the hallway Xavier soon reached the room number he’d been told they were resting in and he wasted little time in pushing open the doors, without knocking. He had a mixture of feelings, worry and concern being the largest but the man expressed it with an air of tension. “What happened? Are you alright?” He asked with a low and demanding tone, worry evident there between the expression of what could be mistaken for anger. They hadn’t given him many details at all over the phone and that had given way to the possibilities which had flooded his mind on the drive over. Quickly his eyes scanned over them, urging an explanation before he started jumping to conclusions.

When suddenly the creaking door to the occult bookshop was yanked open, Nick startled up from his monotonous paperwork. "Vixe Maria!", - holy mother! - he exclaimed in a mixture of shock and disbelief.

He'd made it almost around the counter, when his clerk emerged from the backroom. Cass was still holding on to the little crystal stone she was pricing when all the ruckus had summoned her like a moth to the light.

open to: m/f/anyone plot: After a long day of traveling y/m & Ruth have finally settled at a hotel when something makes y/m rush into Ruth's room (maybe they got a threat or something startled them or they just wanted to see him) just after he's gotten out of the shower. hmu to plot if you want, this can really go anywhere! connection: client or person who hired him (he's a bodyguard), someone else in his security detail, son/daughter/spouse of his employer, idk whatever works~

"Hold on a fucking minute," Ruth said with a bit of irritation to his tone as he put up his index finger towards the other with one hand while the other held the towel wrapped around his waist in place. Blue eyes scanned the bed for his phone before he picked it up and unlocked it, searching the device for any notifications that something was wrong or amiss.

Steam filtered out of the open bathroom door and off his hot, wet skin, beads of water dripped from his hair as he scanned his phone. Finding nothing Ruth furrowed his brow and glanced back at the other, perplexed and concerned. "-- what happened?" He didn't mind if something was actually wrong but they'd really only been a few seconds away from seeing him more naked than he already was.

Ruth glanced over them briefly, shifting back a few steps towards the window where he barely lifted the curtain to peer outside and check the mostly empty parking lot, his eyes returning to the other once he was satisfied nothing was strange or off outside. He shook his head, the cool air of the ac turning on making his still wet skin prickle some.
