I've been working on my own little private world for a bit now, and though I still need to work on some stuff, I feel comfortable sharing some things now!

When very young, Aurora Beasts are incredibly fragile. Until their form stabilizes, they require a (usually temporary) guardian to watch over them and make sure they don't die from the slightest of things lmao.

This big boy, named Toraed the Thunder King, was Osseth's guardian! His elements, along with light, are earth and lightning. Though he's not her father, Osseth and he retain a good relationship that consists mostly of her bothering him when she's bored and of mutual complaining about idiots who don't do their jobs. He is large and grumpy but very good at his job and well respected for it.

Figured I should just actually introduce Tora rather than write snippets or have her and Shang Tsung snarking at each other.

I don’t have a picture of her, sorry. I’m not really a visual artist, more a verbal artist.

Name: Tora Altona

Place of birth: Outworld

Height: 178cm (approx. 5’ 10”)

Hair colour: Orange and black striped like a tiger’s fur (a failed animorph triggered this, her original hair colour was orange)

Eye colour: Gold

Distinguishing features: A series of flogging scars crisscrossing her upper back, a thin scar following the path of her shoulder from collarbone to upper arm, an ourobouros tattoo around her left bicep, three piercings in each ear (two lobe, one helix).

Current residence: Earthrealm

Fighting style: No distinct style, however she does prefer to keep her opponents at a distance where she can employ her weapon and magic to defeat them.

Magic: Elemental, offensive. Would’ve been a battlemage in the Umgadi if her parents had anything to say about it. Also has employ of soul magic (which she almost never uses) thanks to experiments by Shang Tsung involving the Well of Souls (MK11 only, at this stage).

Weapon: A series of enchanted metal spikes called “thorns” that she can engage individually or as a string.

General attire: Three-quarter sleeve shirt, fingerless gloves, cropped hooded jacket, seven-eighth leggings under denim shorts, high-top sneakers, snake-shaped jewellery around her biceps and wrists, three silver chains attached to the belt loops on her left and right hips, thorn pouch fastened to left thigh.

Family history: Once the only daughter of the mercantile Altona family in Outworld who prospered by trading in goods across the realm, Tora is now the only recognised member of the family by Outworld decree. Her mother and father were executed by order of Empress Sindel for financing a failed rebellion against the throne; Tora escaped persecution by proving she was neither involved nor in Outworld at the time. This didn’t stop supporters of the rebellion from threatening her life should she return to Outworld, so she simply stayed in Earthrealm and focused on improving her magic and studying to be a medic.

Hi everyone! One of the cosplays that I've been working on is Maid Zakuro from Tokyo Mew Mew! I more so did the old design and added a few elements from the new one! It was a fun and easier project to help decompress from some of my intense builds.

Zakuro has been on my cosplay list for decades! I've been a huge Tokyo Mew Mew fan since I was a kid. I had the manga, watched the old anime, and even watched the reboot! Though this is a more simple looking build, there was lots of hard work done to bring it together! I'm actually pleased with how it came out!

I'll be debuting this cosplay this weekend at Tora Con (which I'm also a guest!). I'll reveal the other cosplay, which days I'll be wearing each and my schedule soon!

Post-events of Persona 5 Royal & Strikers (no Sumi coz idk how to write her) like, set 5yrs later after the games

Ren is an informant for Makoto (and partner ehe (⁠◠⁠‿⁠・⁠)⁠—⁠☆ )

He occasionally uses 'Akira Kurusu' when undercover

He usually uses his glasses when he's not working (by work, i mean undercover) y'know... ala Clark Kent~

Learns about the art of disguise coz Yusuke dragged him into some makeup classes when he got interested in it (his reason being makeup is the painting  but the face is the canvas)

Ren is somewhat a master of disguise except he cant do much when it comes to voices (Futaba's foray into creating voice changers would eventually help with that)

Makoto kinda helped him learn how to fight (he kinda knows already coz of the PT stuff but not that well enough)

Makoto thinks that removing her braid headband is enough as a disguise and it works sometimes

Makoto also favors her knuckledusters

PT knows that they're doing this stuff but it's mostly Ren, Makoto, Futaba and Morgana

They still use their codenames when working

Ren favors knives and probably has at least ten of them hidden in his clothes... he somehow evades being detected by metal detector coz of Futaba's tech prowess/plot armor (yup. surely.)

Ren still has the third eye power from y'know, one of the last remnants of their lives as PT

Personas are not sentient but they make their presence known sometimes (im keeping tier 3 ones except for Ren coz Satanael is too cool)

Everyone who has a persona also gained some "enhancements" post-PT events like enhanced strength and agility as well as immunity to some stuff based on their main element in-game (ex. Ann is more fire-proof than the average person, Ryuji more electricity-proof etc.)

Futaba is a game dev and she's rich coz of it, one of Ren's assistants in his job and creates nifty gadgets (nothing too extra) for him

Ren now co-owns Leblanc with Sojiro and also serves as his cover (still lives in the attic but with a nicer bed this time lol)

Futaba got an alarm system for the café at night as well as the Sakura house and the Niijima apartment

Morgana is his partner, being not-a-cat helps him a lot when it comes to infiltration

Haru is one of his ears in the business world, Ann's in showbiz, Yusuke's in the artist scene, Ryuji... is sparring partner and occasionally shares rumors he hears from time-to-time coz Shujin's rumor mill is strong as ever, Futaba is more internet-based

Zenkichi helps him whenever he can, Sophia is still travelling with Ichinose but she helps Futaba sometimes and in constant contact with everyone

Akane's vibing and still fangirls abt PT stuff, will eventually know about it soon enough

Tora gives him intel when it comes to politics, he goes to Ohya for information, Takemi is a trusted doctor, etc.

Crossroads is kinda a safe spot for Ren & Makoto

The Sakura-Amamiya-Niijima(+Morgana) investigation trio is OP

Sae worries about the targets they paint on their backs coz of their occupation

This card is my personality card (or soul card, different places say different things) and was my card of the year last year! Which honestly makes a lot of sense. I mean, could the universe have chosen a more ADHD card? I've always been looking for that dopamine rush, changing jobs and hobbies like it's going out of style. I transferred schools 4 times in college. On the flip side, though, my soul card (depending on what you look at) is the Magician and I interpret that as focusing my skills in order to succeed. Also, I feel like I've always had to push myself to be okay with going with the flow, (probably the autism showing) which has been an important part of my growth.

The Wheel of Fortune is all about rolling with the punches. It reminds me that the universe is run by cycles and it's a wheel that keeps turning, no matter how much we try to stop it. The Fates are going to do what they want with that thread. I think of all those times in science history where scientists have tried to contain and control nature. It's always a huge mistake and the wheel brings the karma right back. The Wheel of Fortune may be telling me that there are some things I can't change in my life, whether that's present or future problems and I should trust that everything will turn out alright. This card also might be a signal that a big change is coming or to look out for opportunities.

Ok so re: this post (the zelda fusion au for xc2), I have continued thinking and writing about the au but I'm not happy with the fic I've drafted for it yet, so instead let me tell you about the Champions in this au.

The neat thing about xc2's main party is that there's actually a party member for every element present in botw/totk: water (Nia and Dromarch), fire (Brighid and Mórag), lightning (Zeke and Pandoria), and wind (Vandham and Roc). This would let me just assign each of those characters their respective element and make them that race from the zelda games: Zora, Goron, Gerudo, and Rito, respectively.

It would let me do that, except I thought about Rito!Brighid with blue fiery wings for 0.2 seconds and now I have to do that, so things got shuffled a bit.

What I'm actually doing is letting each character keep their element, but assigning the elements to different peoples than they are in the zelda games. It ends up as Brighid and Mórag being Rito; Nia and Dromarch being Gorons; Vandham and Roc being Zoras; and Zeke and Pandoria actually just stay Gerudo.

(And for anyone wondering about Tora, he's a Korok. Poppi is a Sheikah robot he built; relative humanity vs. Guardian-ness is still up for debate.)

send me a “⭐️” and i’ll use a random thing picker to choose one of my F/Os, and i’ll reply to the ask with a small infodump about my selfship with them! - For this one, spinning the random wheel of names resulted in Pyra!~

Pyra is one of the main characters of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, renowned as the legendary Aegis Blade. She has incredible fire-element powers that stem from her "sister" Mythra's light-element abilities, and she wields the Aegis Sword in battle alongside her Driver, Rex. Her aim to reach Elysium drives a lot of the story forwards. To selfship with Pyra, I use my main XC2 self-insert, Sapphire! As a reminder, she’s the adopted daughter of Vandham, so she grew up in Garfont Village in Uraya (but she came there from Gormott, and is indeed Gormotti by race as shown by her cat ears). She joins the party alongside Vandham in Chapter 3, taking over from Tora to become a playable character after the end of Chapter 4.

Pyra and Sapphire first meet near the start of Chapter 3 (which is when Sapphire herself is introduced), when the party first arrives in Garfont Village. Both of us find the other very pretty from the beginning, but Sapphire is the one who gets romantic feelings first and then Pyra’s develop shortly afterwards; this happens as the party make their journey from one end of Uraya to the other, which I like to think is a lot more of an process than the half a day of in-game time it takes to walk in-game. It's a whole kingdom, after all! I don't have a specific time in mind for any kind of official confession scene, but I reckon it would probably come shortly after finally making it to Fonsa Myma, the capital of Uraya. This is perhaps not the best timing, considering that it's therefore right before Pyra gets taken to Olethro Playhouse and the subsequent big boss fight against Malos and Akhos and their Blades, but maybe that's just what happens. It gets followed up with another scene afterwards, where Sapphire takes Pyra up to the Dragon's Whiskers (a secret area with an amazing view) and we talk through everything that happened, since.. it was a lot, even if that whole sequence of events doesn't quite go how it does in canon in my version of events.

From then onwards, we are together through the rest of the plot of XC2, with Pyra proposing to Sapphire a ways into Chapter 5 under the aurorae on the last night the party spends in Leftheria. We don't actually get married until after the game ends, though, mainly because both Pyra and Sapphire wanted to ask for the other's parent's permission. In Pyra's case, that just meant asking Vandham, who was of course absolutely overjoyed and crying a lot and approved immediately, but in Sapphire's case, that meant asking the Architect, literal creator of the entire world of Alrest. But, she did. Right before the final boss fight, but.. she did, and he approved, and things worked out okay in the end after we beat the final boss, so it's fine =P

still haven’t seen it yet, so going off of a clip and the tag comments, but...

i can kinda see what they were doing with Tora having a British accent. i mean, punk rock originated there, it’s still a very strong culture there, dash of the “purebloods” classism trope, and it’s foreign enough to us Sateside folks that we’d believe things she said...even when they aren’t true.

so i’m hoping that her arc is revealing that the accent is fake (it did sound a bit over the top to me, like purposely exaggerated, kinda like Luna Loud's rockstar voice) and her “prestigious monster family” claim is also fake. because her being an alley cat/foster kid originally was a very unique take, and shame they took that way from her. the fact that she’s “Moanica 2.0″ though is funny to me, because i clearly remember saying that Moanica was replacing Tora in G2.

all that being said, the more funny thing; i know i joked that G3 Tora was fusing elements from the previous werecats into one, but c’mon! we got the Tora name and base, the twins’ blander visuals/patterning, the Catty hair and singing, and now Catrine’s European-ness. boo. lol
