#dont send me some stupid ass petty ass ask because then you can go eat shit đ„°
Omg for the eremin x reader au, so Eren and Armin got together way before the reader joined the equation, so sheâs hella insecure and shy around them even though they love her you know? Which leads to her distancing herself from them because they donât need her anyway, right? Just imagine the soft and hot heated make up session they had once the boys find out that their princess feels like sheâs not that important to them.
please. gonna make it a part two thisÂ
Cw: eren is mean at the beginning but he makes up for it <3 smut, the usual.
you becoming armins girlfriend but it leaving an empty feeling in your chest because you like eren too, knows how he looks at you and wishes he would just act on it. heâs there when armin fucks you, when armin makes you cream all over his cock, and sometimes heâll join in, but he rarely touches you, the closest heâs gotten is holding you against his chest and spreading your legs for armin to fuck into you. youâd been turned on but also jealous of the way eren had leaned over the lock armin in a kiss, their tongues tangling, wishing you could kiss him.
It comes to a breaking point when eren displays his possessiveness again, hating how much armin is falling in love with you and how much he wants you too. He uses your desire to please him against you, makes you sit on a chair and watch as he fucks armin. They look so hot together, but it makes you feel a little squirmy on the inside, not being able to participate. And its made even worse when eren turns armins jaw so heâs looking at you, tells him âlook at your little girlfriend watching you get your ass pounded, baby. tell her how good your daddies cock feelsâ
Armin, lost in the pleasure, of course doesnât know any better. Looks at you with big blue puppy eyes as eren fucks his tight little hole and moans, âd-daddies cock feels so good inside meâÂ
âBet she wishes she could feel itâ eren grunts. âYour girlfriends a little slut who wants your boyfriends cock, sweetheart, just look at her drooling over it. You wanna be armin, baby?âÂ
You squeeze your thighs shut and dont answer. But eren knows, âYeah, you do. Wanna feel what he feels every night when i slide my fat cock into his little boypussy. Desperate slut, wanna remind me what a real cunt feels like? hm?âÂ
Armin whimpers under him, curling his legs around eren and dragging him down for a kiss. Eren keeps eye contact with you when he pushes his tongue into armins mouth, fucks him through his orgasm and coos in his ear, âthatâs it baby, come for daddy, be my good little girlfriend and show me yours is the only wet hole i needâÂ
Armin doesnât know what eren has done, doesnât know heâs pushed you away with just that line. Thinks this was all just kinkplay, and heâs so sweet. Making grabby hands for you and offering to get you off, tugging you towards his face, but you pull away.Â
When you leave that night, flicking a glance at the bed where eren cradles armin to his chest, watching you go with his jaw clenched, you send a message to armins phone, before blocking them both on all forms of media.Â
âI canât do this anymore. Iâm sorryâÂ
You donât know about the explosive fight that occurs between armin and eren the next day. Armin has never been more angry, and it makes eren backpedal, try to hold him but armin just slaps his hands away. Tells eren he loves you and he knows eren likes you too so why is he so mean?Â
Eren can do nothing but clench his teeth together and stare at the ground as he admits he doesnât want to lose armin, and doesnât want to need anyone else but him. Armin reminds him heâs okay with armin needing you, so armins okay with eren needing you too. He wants eren to want you, has timdily encouraged eren touching you or having sex with you a couple of times, but never psuhed it, though he notices erens lingering stares on you.Â
Eren feels horrible, for pushing you away, for making you leave armin, for making you leave him. He just wanted armin to be happy, he didnt expect to want to make you happy too, or to want to open his arms to you. He knows he has to make it right, not just for armin but for him too.Â
-----
When you come out of your workplace, you donât expect to see eren there, nor do you really want to. Heâs leaning casually against the back of his car, smoking a cigarette, but he puts it out when he sees you, crushing it under one of his combat boots. He looks sheepish.Â
âHey-âÂ
You donât give him the time of day though, breezing by him. You donât have a car so you planned on walking to the bus station. Usually armin came to pick you up, but considering youâd basically ended things with him, you hadn't expected any rides anymore.
âHeyâ Eren says again, and this time heâs right behind you, hand grabbing your arm to stop you. He turns you to him. âWe need to talkâÂ
You wish he wasnât so pretty. You let yourself look at him, his stubble, his jade green eyes, the boyish way his hair falls into his eyes. But you shake your head. âNo, we dont. You made that clearâÂ
You pull away from him and start walking again. âArmin misses youâ He calls out, but you donât stop.Â
âI miss you.âÂ
Okay, you stop at that. Donât turn around though. You hear his footsteps approach, feel his warmth at your back as he stops, too close. âI miss youâ He says again. âCome with me?âÂ
You turn to look at him again, âWhy should i? You miss me? You donât even like me, jaeger. If you hated me being with your boyfriend so much why did you even ask me too?âÂ
He bites his lip, shifts on his feet and you can tell his uncomfortable. Youâd gathered awhile ago that he wasnât good with emotions. Tough shit. If he wanted you to get in his car, heâd need to explain some things.
He puffs out his cheeks and palms the back of his neck, and to your surprise, there is a rosy blush that starts to bloom on his cheeks. You donât think youâve ever seen eren blush. âI donât like sharing whatâs mine. And armin is mineâ He says that with finality.Â
You nod your head, starting to turn again. âRight-â
He catches you again. âBut so are youâ His gaze traps you.âI let you be armins because i thought i wouldnât care, he still belongs to me, and i belong to him and you...werenât supposed to belong to anyone. I didnât want you tooâÂ
You naw at your bottom lip, dipping your head, wondering where heâs going with this.
âBut you doâ He breathes out, making you look up again. His eyes are sharp, serious. âYou belong to armin, youâre his girlfriend and heâs not letting you go, if i hadnât come today heâd be here on his hands and knees begging for you to come back. and...whatâs his is mine so..â
âSo..?â You prod, breathless.Â
âSo youâre mineâ He concludes. âOurs. I really wanna fuck youâÂ
The last part is said so casually you jerk, but eren keeps you steady. Pulls you in. Leans down and tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear. âLet me bring you back with meâ his lips brush against yours. âSo i can finally fuck my girlfriendâÂ
You do in fact let him bring you back.Â
---
Itâs surreal being between armin and eren, having them both touch you. Youâre used to armins touch, but erens is new. Youâre all shaky and acting like a skittish virgin when eren leans back against the headboard, lazily stroking his cock as armin fingers you open for him.Â
His soft lips at your ear, âYou take my cock so nice, baby. But daddyâs big. Heâs gonna stretch you so goodâ
âKeep talking about my big dick and im gonna nut before i even get to fuck herâ Eren grunts, eyes glued to wear armins slender fingers are sliding in and out of your slick cunt.Â
Armin just giggles âBut sâtrue, daddy. Youâre gonna split her wide open. Sheâs tight tooâ He croons, making you whimper when he curls his fingers just right. âHad her pretty pussy all to myself for so long and she still squeezes my cock, Youâll like itâÂ
Eren eyes are all heat, eating you up. âOh, i know i will. Daddyâs been wanting to fuck that cunt for agesâÂ
âSâthat so?â Armin sounds a little condescending, having not been apart of their fight, you canât tell heâs being kinda petty when he says. âGonna have to show my girlfriend how much you appreciate her then, if you want her to be your girl youâll have to make her cum lots, kay? Otherwise im keeping her for myself and you can sit there and watch like you always do while i show her how a good boyfriend fucks their girlfriends pussyâ
He dips his lips to kiss your jaw, keeping eye contact with eren when he does. âIf daddy doesnât make you cum stupid, iâll dump himâ
Your cunt squeezes around his fingers at the same time eren growls and reaches out, practically plucking you from armins arms and placing you above him.Â
You brace your hands on his board chest as the tip of his thick cock teases your hole, âw-waitâÂ
âMm, fuck thatâ He moans, and pops the head in, eyes fluttering shut and rolling into the back of his skull when your the heat of your fluttering cunt envelops him, silky and smooth and wet, he guides you down the thick length of him. His head thunks against the headboard. âJesus, fuckâ
âE-erenâ you whine, poor pussy squeezing around him helplessly as its stretched wide and filled to the brim with him.Â
He bounces you once, making you choke on a whimper. âThatâs not what we call meâÂ
Your eyes fill with overwhelmed tears, but you feel armins lips touch your spine as he kisses your back, encouraging you. âGo on, babyâ
You wrap your arms around erens neck. âD-daddyâ you say, hesitantly, barely breathing the word.Â
But eren groans so loud, and eats your lips up in a kiss, rocking you back and forth on his cock, grinding you on it. âYeah, babyâ he pants into your open mouth. âDaddyâs got you. Gonna fuck my sweet little girlfriend tight pussy like she deservesâÂ
âAbout fucking time you didâ you think you hear armin mutter, but youâre already to fucked out to care.Â

Go Go Karasuno: An Old Rival (Pt 2 )
THIS FIC IS 18+
Warnings: swearing
Word Count: 7,000+
A few days had passed since the practice match. You hated to admit it, but you thought about Keishin often.Â
He looked good.
Really REALLY good.
Like better than high school good. He always looked nice but it was overshadowed by his complete desire to be an utter ass.
You sighed as you finished up a few emails to send off before you took your grandma to the hospital to visit your grandfather.
He was set to be discharged in a few days and then you would start the process of moving them to the elderly community. You had taken your grandmother to visit him daily as she would often have make him meals. He hated the hospital food. He said the flavor was lacking.
You had to laugh. The man had only ever eaten your grandmother's cooking since they married at a young age. He often complained or refused to eat any other food because it was never was good as his wifeâs cooking.Â
You had to agree. Your grandma was an amazing cook.
You arrive at the hospital with your grandma in toe. She says her hellos to the staff as they all reciprocate the greetings. Your grandma was a complete sweetheart. She was loved and adored by everyone. She always helped when and where she could, volunteering wherever she was needed. You're actually surprised your grandfather managed to charm his way in to her life.
Your grandfather was a rowdy old man. Literally the opposite of your grandmother. He could be bitter and always liked a good argument. He was never outright mean to people, just very outspoken and upfront. He was a lot to handle.
You exit the elevator carrying the box of food your grandma had prepared. She told you she was preparing a meal for your grandfather's roommate as well. She said the man was just as insatiable as your grandfather. You imagined they were quite the duo.
As you round the corner you start the head arguing. You eyes widen as you realize it's coming from your grandfather's room.Â
Your grandma just smiles as she shakes her head knocking lightly at the door.
"Yeah yeah" a voice shouts.Â
You both enter as you begin to observe the sight before you eyes.
Your grandfather and his roommate are watching volleyball on the small TV in their hospital room. Shouting at the apparent bad plays.
"Anyone could have hit that set with their eyes closed" your grandfather shouted "what is that spiker doing?"
"He's just a weakling like all the others" the other man shouted "that wouldn't be happening under my coaching."
You roll your eyes and smile. Man these two were made for each other.
Your grandma slowly starts to unpack and plate the food she made for both the men. They continue to watch the game as your grandma hands them the food.
"Dont worry dear I packed enough for everyone" she smiled as you observed all the food. The box was heavy that you carried in but you didn't think there was an entire week's worth of food there.
"By everyone did you mean the entire hospital gran" you giggle as she laughs.
"Oh Y/N" your grandfather says as he looks up from his meal for a second "this is my roommate. You might know his grandson. I think he went to school with him."
The other man grumbled "I apologize if you do know him, the weakling."
You smile as you chuckle "Well sir its nice to meet you, I'm Y/N"
The older man turns to you smiling "oh I know who you are sweetheart, I'm Ikkei Ukai"
WHAT DID HE SAY?
You were about to speak when a knock sounded.
"Yeah yeah, what is this grand central in Tokyo?" your grandfather huffed as the door opened.
"Just came to check on my fav-" Keishin spoke as he entered, shutting the door and turning around.
His eyes were met with yours. He gulped as the two older men and older lady looked at you both.
"Y/N, I didn't know you would be here" Keishin says as he lifts his head to the back of his head.
"I told you last week my roommate had a granddaughter your age" Ikkei spoke sharped tongue.
"Well you didn't mention here name!" Keishin glared at his grandfather.
âYou didnât askâ Ikkei huffed as he turned his attention back to the game as Keishin placed his hand over his face.
You giggle at the circumstances.Â
This all had to be a joke right? No way this was coincidence!
"Ah Keishin it's so good to see you again" your grandmother says breaking the awkward silence "here have a plate"
"Oh you as well ma'am" he said bowing "thank you ma'am but I'll have to pass Iâm just stopping by quick"
"Sit down you idiot the women made great food" your grandfather shouts at Keishin as you chuckle.
Your grandmother makes him a plate as he settles in by you at the spare table in the corner. Your grandmother sits beside your grandfather as he kisses her forehead. You smile as you watch them, all while Keishin watches you.
"Your grandfather and mine are one in the same" he says trying to break the silence.
"Ha ha yeah you can say that again" you say smiling as you eat.
"I honestly didn't know your grandfather was his roommate" he says.
"Well you probably wouldn't. They are my mothers parents so we don't share the same last name" you say looking down at your plate.
"You know, it was really great to see you play again Y/N" Keishin smiles at you.
You look up smiling back "Thank you. It was a lot of fun. You really have some great kids."
"Kageyama and Hinata couldn't stop talking about your sets. Kageyama said they were almost perfect" he said taking another bite
"Well I wouldn't say perfect. They can always use improvement" you say pushing your food around the plate.
"Give yourself more credit Y/N. You really are a great setter. I always thought so" Keishin says as he stares at you.
You laugh ironically "is that why you were always such an ass to me then?"
Keishin sighs "yeah I was an ass but it wasn't because you weren't good. I was stupid high school kid"
You sighed as you look to his smiling "I guess we've both changed a lot"
Keishin smiled softly at you as you take both plates and disguarded them in the bin.
"I'm going to step outside for a minute" you speak, kissing your grandma on the forehead.
"I'll come with you" Kishin says as you begin to walk outside
The silence is awkward. Neither of you know what to say to each other. It's like your years of high school rivalry has been reduced to this weird state of unknown.
"Look Y/N" keishin starts.
"Keishin" you interject "we both changed. It's ok. I'm not mad at you anymore."
That wasn't completely factual nor completely a lie.
You didn't hate Keishin. In fact, thinking about it, you never really did. You admired the man but he annoyed you to no end. He was always better than you and you were jealous.
Keishin threw his cigarette as he walked towards you "Y/N I want to apologize."
You look at him with narrowed eyes "for what?"
"Well one for being a complete jerk back in high school" he proceeds.
"Jerk is an understatement but continue" you say smiling.
He laughs awkwardly "Listen Y/N can I at least make it up to you?"
You fold your arms "ok and how Keishin? It's not like we can go back in time and you can not mess up my serves" you spit as he looks towards the ground.
"Y/N please" Keishin says "my grandfather was right, I was a weakling back then. I was jealous of you. You had such talent and well, I enjoyed getting a rile from you. I know it was immature but it was the only way you'd talk to me."
âWait whatâ you think as you try to process what he was saying
"I always admired you Y/N. You were a great captain and a fantastic setter. You worked so well all the players on your team. I honestly was a bit jealous" he continues as you state at him confused.
Keishin was jealous? Of you?
You say the only thing you can properly formulate "Well Keishin you sure had a hell of a way of showing it! You pissed me off, annoyed me to no end and now you tell me you were jealous?"
Keishin stares at your outburst.
"Keishin I apologize for yelling but it just seems unreal to me. I spent all of high school trying be as good as you and now your telling me you looked up to me? It just seems unreal" you say as you sit on the bench.
"Y/N" Keishin sits down in the other side of the bench "I know I was a complete jerk. I honestly didn't know it bothered you so much. I was a punk ass kid who was just trying to be someone. But I now realize I hurt someone who really meant a lot of me."
You look up from your hands to see Keishin with a soft smile on his face.
"Well this is awkward" you say as you stand up. You were never great with upfront feelings and awkward silences.
"Y/N please" Keishin says as you start to walk back to the room "Please just let me make it up to you. Let's have dinner. I promise. Just hear me out"
You sigh knowing the conversation was unavoidable. It wasn't that you didn't want to have dinner with Keishin, it's just that you still reeled from your past.
Maybe you were being petty and it seemed like Keishin had changed but were you really ready to admit that? Were you really ready to move on from a grudge you held for almost 10 years?
"Where" you sigh in defeat.
"Huh?" Keishin looks to you with question.
"Where and when" you look back at him with a less than eager face.
"How about Friday night? My families store?" Keishin shouts a little too enthusiastic.
You chuckle at his response "ok but I swear of you start shit I'm going to pelt a volleyball right at your forehead"
He laughs "there's the Y/N I remember"
You push him playfully as you both walk back into the hospital heading to your grandfather's room.
You enter the floor as you both hear loud shouting. You look at each other and take off running towards your grandfather's room. You bust open the door with Keishin on your heals as you see your grandfather on the floor and your grandmother holding her mouth.
"I'm fine I'm fine just got a bit worked up" he says.
Keishin moves to help your grandfather as you console your grandmother.
"Grandpa really? Getting worked up over volleyball?" You spit at him.
He glares at you "you're one to talk Y/N!"
Keishinâs eyes widen as you glare holes on your grandfather's head. He chuckles at your response.
"Oh Y/N it's about time you forgive the boy, it's been almost 10 years" your grandfather says
"Dont forgive him so easily Y/N" Ikkei interjects "make him work for it"
Keishin glares at his grandfather as he chuckles with your grandfather and they continue watching the game.
You and Keishin both sigh as you smile softly towards one another.Â
You're night out with Keishin approaches faster than you hoped. Honestly you were really indifferent about the whole situation. You had to admit, Keishin had probably changed since high school. I mean the Keishin you knew would never coach a high school volleyball team.
Right?

Stubborn Independence
TITLE: Stubborn IndependenceÂ
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 5/10
AUTHOR: brightsun-and-darkmidnight
ORIGINAL IMAGINE:Â
Imagine Loki struggling to adjust to someone who is independent and insists on paying for themselves all the time, even if it is a struggle sometimes. They need to do everything on their own. They never ask for help and refuse help. Just imagine Loki really wanting to spoil this person. Imagine how creative he would get to make life easier on this person who has captivated him.
+
Imagine being a talented singer at your local club. Loki comes in one night with Thor and the others (heâd rather be anywhere else but who turns down free drinks?) and gets ensnared in the voice of the beautiful singer on stage. Suddenly, his interest (and arousal) are more than piqued.
+
Imagine getting into a petty fight with Loki, so in retaliation, he puts everything on the top shelf where you canât reach?Â
AUTHORâS NOTES: College AU. Loki is determined to take over Odinâs company. He works hard and has a strict schedule for success. However, with the interference of Thor and the other four, Lokiâs plans are often interrupted so they can play matchmaker.

 ~ ~ ENJOY ~ ~
Loki let Sirena drive her own car while she talked excitedly about how well she was doing at Whispering Waters. Apparently the manager was considering having her perform every friday night, waitress the other times, and was going to pay her a small amount and let her keep the tips.
âHow cool is that though? I mean I would be able to get my name out there.â
Loki could not stop the smile pulling his lips. âYou are very gifted.â
âThanks. Itâs not⊠I guess it isnât so much of getting my name known, I just like to see when people hear music. Music is proven to change or elevate moods. Its why I am in the musical therapy major.â
âWhen do your mock classes start?â
âNext week. Frigga stated there are some people really interested in the little class.â
Loki watched as Sirena parked in front of a grocery store.
She gave Loki a big smile. âObject of this game is to get snacks to eat in the car. Now go. Gogogog!"Â
Sirena hurried out of the car and Loki felt rushed to do it too.
She started laughing as the car locked and ran to the entrance.
Loki easily caught up to her then opened the door. At Sirenaâs look he walked in and shut the door so she had to open it herself.
"What the hell?â She laughed as she tried to be the intimidating fireball she was.
Loki smirked, âEveryone keeps telling me to let you do stuff yourself.â
âWell yeah. But did you need to make sure the door shut?â
âIt would have been considered helping.â
Sirena tapped Lokiâs arm with a small smile then pulled him along towards the snack isle.
Sirena was picking granola bars and some chips. âSo get anything you can easily eat in the car.â
âWhere are we going to go?â
Sirena snickered. âDepends on when you have your next scheduled alarm.â
Loki grumbled, âtouche.â
Loki picked out a few things but were mostly candy. After purchasing their own things they went to the car.
âWith all those sweets you are going to get a cavity. Clint would yell at me all the time about what I would eat because he knows I want to loose weight and be more healthy. He watches out for me.â Sirena took a bite of her granola bar.
âHe does seem a bitâŠâ Loki hesitated for the right word.
âIntimidating? Yeah he got the whole older brother thing about him.â
Loki immediately asked, âBrother? So you two arenât dating?â
Sirena forced a gag and muttered âewâ several times. âNo we arenât dating. We knew each other from high school. He looked out for me because I would always get myself in trouble with people. I was too nice and people took advantage of me. He would scare people away from me.â
âHe was trying to scare me away then?â
Sirena shrugged her shoulders. âClint is an ass but yeah. He is a great guy. He is just pushing your buttons to see if you are good for me toâŠtalk to.â
Loki had to be cheeky. âAm i good company?â
Sirena teased. âI think so.â
Loki laughed at his own question. âWas this planned out?â
Sirena pouted, âProbably. Clint is good at seeing things from way outside the picture so he is good at placing things where they are supposed to be.â
Loki fiddled with a piece of candy. âWhere does he want us?â
âBeside each other.â
âYou are being vague.â
âVague? Why is there more information you are searching for?â Sirena teased.
âJust wondering if there is more to this⊠How did you put it..? Beside each other, Like this, in this car discussing his master painting over snacksâŠâ
âmaybe this is part of his plans..â Sirena glances at Lokiâs lips as she leans slightly.
Loki starts to lean in as well.Â
The kiss was short, sweet, and it made Loki happy to see her smile once the short kiss was over.
Loki smirked with a tilt of his head, âso do I ask you out or do you want to ask me?â
Sirena grinned, âI initiated the kiss, so I asked.â
Loki shrugged. âFair enough. So do I get to take you out for dinner?â
Sirena seemed hesitant. âWe can do our Q and A right here.â
âDo you actually have insurance on your phone?â It was the first question Loki came up with.
Sirena laughed, âthat question is what you open up with?â
Loki nodded with a smirk.
She sighed before answering. âYes I do. They wonât send me a new one because I dropped the phone. Something stupid about it not being the device that stopped working and it was my fault.. But it still works and I am not worried about it.â
âAlright. But everytime you show me pictures on your phone I really want to get you a new one so I can see your pictures better.â
âYou are not the first person to complain about my phone for that reason.â
âWhy not get a new phone?â
âI am worried about losing my pictures.â
Loki beamed. âI could help with that. Its very easy to do that. I move files all the time for work.â
âMaybe. Enthusiastic helper.â
Loki thought for a second. âI could teach you how to save stuff and put it all on a micro SD card or back everything up to the cloud.â
Sirena looked confused. âThat was all over my head. I have no idea how electronics work. I can text, call, and set alarms.â
Loki tried not to laugh but a few chuckles escaped.
âOh come on dont laugh at me!â
Loki couldnât help but laugh at her pout and the embarrassment inside her voice.
âI didnât mean to offend.â
âWhatever. So there is an intersection coming up⊠left, right, or straight?â
Loki asked. âReally? Okay straight.â
And that was the game for the night until they needed to get back to campus.
Loki and Sirena spent more time together and Clint seemed to be warming up to Loki more. There were still threats of bodily harm if Loki âever hurt her and I will make sure you suffer too."Â
Loki genuinely promised Clint he would never hurt Sirena.
Loki found himself on a new schedule and Sirena didnât mind much of his alarms because she saw how anxious he was without some daily structure. However she convinced him into a deal; he could pay for one meal a week, and on certain days she had control of what they would do with their free time. Loki had to admit he enjoyed new experiences -especially with Sirena because she is always pleasant to be around.
Sirena never let Loki pay for anything and if he did it was an ear full and she would go buy him something if he wouldnât take the money.
He tried to get creative by leaving a little money where she would find it, but she gave it away.
Loki went so far as to order things online, have them shipped to her mailbox as an "accidental delivery.â Despite the company saying to keep it she would send it back or find someone else who would use it.
Then Sirena got assigned a paper to write and was stressed out about getting it done because it was on a book she just didnât understand. She found school just as important as Loki did, so homework would carve into their time together. Loki offered his help and she actually accepted it. Lokiâs skills at analytical reading were useful and Sirena would get Loki his favorite drink and snacks as thanks for each study session.
They would work on homework together; at first they were alone and then they had a study group with the rest of their friends. Loki invested in a personal laptop so he could program while others worked and it didnât take long to make some friends in the computer programming department too. Friends such as, Tony and Bruce.
During a study group Sirena announced she would be in a few of the art classes soon.
Fandral teased, âI am sure Loki is going to love it.â
Sirena glared at Fandral. âIt is very professional. There will be no suggestive atmosphere.â
A few days later, Loki was in his art class and felt a little nervous as Sirena came in. Sirena discussed with Loki alone about how the class would go and how if anyone steps out of line the teacher would handle it.
It still did nothing to comfort him once she was on the podium in the plain undergarments she once explained. Everyone was on best behavior in the class which made it easier that way, but Lokiâs hands sweat so much he had to keep readjusting the drawing utensils. They were never intimate other than kisses, hugs, and hand holding but now he saw the curves of her body and was memorizing them onto paper.
Not at all troubling.

I try to be the best tech I can be but always feel like I canât measure up. Some of our geriatric patients are just naturally petty and fucktards so I ignore them but others its like âbruh, wtf is this pettiness for? Are you 72 or 12?âÂ
Like I had a patient who, it was my first time working with them, so I did not know their likes or dislikes and I put her feet back in bed, asked her "would you like the sheets over you?â (cause some patients dont) and she was like âuh no?â in the rudest voice ever, rolled her eyes then proceeded to call me incompetent; I replied âIm sorry ma'am. This is my first time working with you so I did not know whether or not you wanted the blanket on."Â
I can only recall one time where I got mean with a family member and walked out of the room. She got pissed because her dad refused to touch his breakfast.Â
I said: "we can offer him the food but if he refuses to eat we cant force it down his throatââŠ. Crazy daughter: "he has dementiaâ *clapped in my face too when she said that* âŠ.Me: âheâs a patient, a human being who has rights, I can not force food down his throatââŠ..Crazy daughter: âare you stupid or something? he has dementia, he cant think for himselfâ âŠ..Me (in a very angry, sassy voice): âI am not stupid, but he can still tell me whether or not he wants his food. If you are so mad about it, you can feed him yourself.â âŠCrazy daughter: âhow dare you disrespect your eldersâ and my last reply before leaving the room: ârespect is earned not givenâ
Now I know you scorpio will kick my ass for saying this but I have issues with people who say âdont ever disrespect your eldersâ, like Im sorry but when this elder is proving to be a fucking cunt & theres not one good thing about them, aint no way Im gonna respect them for shit. They can go hop in a trashcan & stay there for all I care.Â
Anyways, I just see nurses who are nice, sweet, fun, strict/professional, but they are good at what they do and their patients love them. I just want to be like that. I hate confrontationâŠ.
I saw you post on another blog about astrology signs so I had been afraid to post and get counseling from you for a long time butâŠâŠâŠâŠwould it shock you to know Iâm a Capricorn?âŠâŠâŠâŠ.
=====
Thanks for sending this in anon, I am glad you have someone like @scorpiotwentythree to offer advice. I am not very good at boundary setting myself. But can I tell you something, Capricorns are not to be underestimated. They tend to blossom as they get older, especially after you have had your saturn return (28-29 years).Â

AUTHOR'S NOTES: College AU. Loki is determined to take over Odin's company. He works hard and has a strict schedule for success. However, with the interference of Thor and the other four, Loki's plans are often interrupted so they can play matchmaker.

"How cool is that though? I mean I would be able to get my name out there."
Loki could not stop the smile pulling his lips. "You are very gifted."
"Thanks. It's not⊠I guess it isn't so much of getting my name known, I just like to see when people hear music. Music is proven to change or elevate moods. Its why I am in the musical therapy major."
"When do your mock classes start?"
"Next week. Frigga stated there are some people really interested in the little class."
Loki watched as Sirena parked in front of a grocery store.
She gave Loki a big smile. "Object of this game is to get snacks to eat in the car. Now go. Gogogog!"Â
Sirena hurried out of the car and Loki felt rushed to do it too.
She started laughing as the car locked and ran to the entrance.
Loki easily caught up to her then opened the door. At Sirena's look he walked in and shut the door so she had to open it herself.
"What the hell?" She laughed as she tried to be the intimidating fireball she was.
Loki smirked, "Everyone keeps telling me to let you do stuff yourself."
"Well yeah. But did you need to make sure the door shut?"
"It would have been considered helping."
Sirena tapped Loki's arm with a small smile then pulled him along towards the snack isle.
Sirena was picking granola bars and some chips. "So get anything you can easily eat in the car."
"Where are we going to go?"
Sirena snickered. "Depends on when you have your next scheduled alarm."
Loki grumbled, "touche."
Loki picked out a few things but were mostly candy. After purchasing their own things they went to the car.
"With all those sweets you are going to get a cavity. Clint would yell at me all the time about what I would eat because he knows I want to loose weight and be more healthy. He watches out for me." Sirena took a bite of her granola bar.
"He does seem a bitâŠ" Loki hesitated for the right word.
"Intimidating? Yeah he got the whole older brother thing about him."
Loki immediately asked, "Brother? So you two aren't dating?"
Sirena forced a gag and muttered "ew" several times. "No we aren't dating. We knew each other from high school. He looked out for me because I would always get myself in trouble with people. I was too nice and people took advantage of me. He would scare people away from me."
"He was trying to scare me away then?"
Sirena shrugged her shoulders. "Clint is an ass but yeah. He is a great guy. He is just pushing your buttons to see if you are good for me to...talk to."
Loki had to be cheeky. "Am i good company?"
Sirena teased. "I think so."
Loki laughed at his own question. "Was this planned out?"
Sirena pouted, "Probably. Clint is good at seeing things from way outside the picture so he is good at placing things where they are supposed to be."
Loki fiddled with a piece of candy. "Where does he want us?"
"Beside each other."
"You are being vague."
"Vague? Why is there more information you are searching for?" Sirena teased.
"Just wondering if there is more to this... How did you put it..? Beside each other, Like this, in this car discussing his master painting over snacksâŠ"
"maybe this is part of his plans.." Sirena glances at Loki's lips as she leans slightly.
Loki starts to lean in as well.Â
The kiss was short, sweet, and it made Loki happy to see her smile once the short kiss was over.
Loki smirked with a tilt of his head, "so do I ask you out or do you want to ask me?"
Sirena grinned, "I initiated the kiss, so I asked."
Loki shrugged. "Fair enough. So do I get to take you out for dinner?"
Sirena seemed hesitant. "We can do our Q and A right here."
"Do you actually have insurance on your phone?" It was the first question Loki came up with.
Sirena laughed, "that question is what you open up with?"
Loki nodded with a smirk.
She sighed before answering. "Yes I do. They won't send me a new one because I dropped the phone. Something stupid about it not being the device that stopped working and it was my fault.. But it still works and I am not worried about it."
"Alright. But everytime you show me pictures on your phone I really want to get you a new one so I can see your pictures better."
"You are not the first person to complain about my phone for that reason."
"Why not get a new phone?"
"I am worried about losing my pictures."
Loki beamed. "I could help with that. Its very easy to do that. I move files all the time for work."
"Maybe. Enthusiastic helper."
Loki thought for a second. "I could teach you how to save stuff and put it all on a micro SD card or back everything up to the cloud."
Sirena looked confused. "That was all over my head. I have no idea how electronics work. I can text, call, and set alarms."
Loki tried not to laugh but a few chuckles escaped.
"Oh come on dont laugh at me!"
Loki couldn't help but laugh at her pout and the embarrassment inside her voice.
"I didn't mean to offend."
"Whatever. So there is an intersection coming up⊠left, right, or straight?"
Loki asked. "Really? Okay straight."
And that was the game for the night until they needed to get back to campus.
Loki and Sirena spent more time together and Clint seemed to be warming up to Loki more. There were still threats of bodily harm if Loki "ever hurt her and I will make sure you suffer too."Â
Loki genuinely promised Clint he would never hurt Sirena.
Loki found himself on a new schedule and Sirena didn't mind much of his alarms because she saw how anxious he was without some daily structure. However she convinced him into a deal; he could pay for one meal a week, and on certain days she had control of what they would do with their free time. Loki had to admit he enjoyed new experiences -especially with Sirena because she is always pleasant to be around.
Sirena never let Loki pay for anything and if he did it was an ear full and she would go buy him something if he wouldn't take the money.
He tried to get creative by leaving a little money where she would find it, but she gave it away.
Loki went so far as to order things online, have them shipped to her mailbox as an "accidental delivery." Despite the company saying to keep it she would send it back or find someone else who would use it.
Then Sirena got assigned a paper to write and was stressed out about getting it done because it was on a book she just didn't understand. She found school just as important as Loki did, so homework would carve into their time together. Loki offered his help and she actually accepted it. Loki's skills at analytical reading were useful and Sirena would get Loki his favorite drink and snacks as thanks for each study session.
They would work on homework together; at first they were alone and then they had a study group with the rest of their friends. Loki invested in a personal laptop so he could program while others worked and it didn't take long to make some friends in the computer programming department too. Friends such as, Tony and Bruce.
During a study group Sirena announced she would be in a few of the art classes soon.
Fandral teased, "I am sure Loki is going to love it."
Sirena glared at Fandral. "It is very professional. There will be no suggestive atmosphere."
Everyone was on best behavior in the class which made it easier that way, but Loki's hands sweat so much he had to keep readjusting the drawing utensils. They were never intimate other than kisses, hugs, and hand holding but now he saw the curves of her body and was memorizing them onto paper.
Not at all troubling.

Loving someone with NPD
It fucking sucks! I have bpd and if i was completely untreated, i would have been narcissist chow...more than i already was.
I have pretty decent intuition but it took a long time for me to actually follow it. I met (lets call her Mary) before i listened to it and created a huge blindspot that took me 6 years to fix.
We both arrived on Okinawa Island 24 hours a part, we shared a name and a birthday ( naturally my dumb ass was like OMG SOULMATE- after i stopped hating her). when i first met her, i hated her. I knew she was two-faced and i said so to her face. Few drunken weekends set that unfortunate Trauma bond in place.Â
I felt so special. She's two-faced and cruel to everyone but ME. my BPD ate that shit up. she even told me that she thought i was the category of âbimbo friendâ until she got to know me.....and i actually took that as a compliment and mentally lorded it over her bimbo friends. it was a disaster.               love-bomb, cruelty, rinse, repeat.
We were just friends at first, she thought she was straight, and i thought i was a girl- neither are true. We kissed once in a drunken haze and it was absolutely terrible, so it really never happened again. you know justgirlythings.Â
I was quite notorious (just because im built like a coke bottle and was put into the marine barracks and you know how boot lickers be) on the island because the Navy is just high-school 2.0. Mary never had my back through it all, she stayed friends with the people who started it and she ditched me all the time at her convenience . I was only on the island for 6 months, and right when i almost cut things off with Mary, i left on an expedited transfer (another tragic story for another tragic time). We stayed in contact via snapchat but honestly we didnt talk much.
Her bf was a bit of a loser and she was planning to leave him while planning their life together...look at that, another red flag that i took as a compliment because she left him for ME. fuck im so needy #narcissistchow.Â
I made a joke about her living with me, and she just went full throttle with that shit. So we got an apartment together, twas the beginning of the end and i fucking KNEW IT. i felt it in my gut and i remember thinking...but sheâs so mean sometimes... like whyyyyyy dont i just listen to me???? ug anyways
Right before we got the apartment she released my cat into the urban wilderness and he was GONE, presumed dead. Quinn, my beautiful fur-baby, a 13 lb maincoone, fucking HATED HER, and he only hated dicks. so yeah she got rid of him and blamed it on my husband (my life is complex okay). we were obviously not doing great and i didn't think about it too hard until later (even though he has never left the door open, like ever).
It started out so much fun! the adventures and stories that we created together were amazing. she made me feel like it would be like this forever. Bit short-lived. Â she would insult, demean, and play fucked up mind games. Luckily for me she didn't get to feed of my pain the way she wanted because i don't exibxit vulnerable emotions (working on that), despite them eating away at me.Â
Her toxicity mirrored the way i was treated as a child, so i did what i did as a child. i shut down. I stopped therapy because i was masking too hard for it be helpful. i stopped my medications because idk if they're working because I'm so disconnected. My ocd tendencies that i got rid of as a child came back. Im never not high on MJ (still am because i don't want to FEEL)
And you know why i stayed? because she made me feel special, and wanted, and even more so needed. She is so fucking insecure and i was a constant source of validation and love. we had conversations and conversations about how we were meant for one another and the future we would create together. We even talked about the children we would raise together. we talked about how it was weird that we didn't want to fuck each-other (she looks like an incest muppet lmao) but we were in a beautiful (toxic*) polyamorous asexual relationship.
i was def not perfect in the relationship. i would do so much petty shit (like i did as a child). she would make me feel shitty about something, so i would show off one of my many talents that also was one of her many insecurities. hell, i would fuck up her hair ON PURPOSE. She had this insanely long blue hair that ended in a short red Karen cut lmao i am such a fucking asshole lmao. no regerts
but like also lets not forget the times she literally threatened to murder me....just saying. i may have been a dick, but she DESERVED it.
She kept treating me like shit and i did the non-traditional BPD thing and started setting boundaries for myself. like when she starts being a jerk, just walk away. just leave. also make her jelly with something to feel better lol.obvi that made her MEANER. so i took her out to eat and told her that she was treating me like absolute shit and it needed to sop...she starts bawling...making up shit about how her anxiety this and that and she's not gonna stop being a cunt so shel just move out.
idk why i even tried after that lunch but like whatever. i even sold her my car at a discount price - but now she has the perma reminder lol. i tried. she kept changing the date of her leaving, she just got meaner, and what FINALLY made things click. was she started ditching me and lying about it ( i may have tested it out and made her confess to it without her knowing- she is incredibly stupid). that was the one thing. the one thing i told myself if someone does that to me again, im done. so heyyy at least i stuck to my boundary even though i almost talked myself out of it. so i simply stopped talking to her. for WEEKS. she tried to start conversation, i ended them. she insulted me and i would flip it on her. i was DONE and she knew it. so our 6 year relationship literally ended by me in person ghosting her.
Finally the lease was up and that kinda forced her stupid ass into moving, however. she like half left and half left her stuff. but she left ferret shit fucking everywhere. on the deck, in the closet, smooshed into carpet, random bits of poo strewn about the room. shes fucking Nasty. i cleaned up the ferret poops with her clothes that was left behing...and i rubbed it on EVERYTHING including her dishes. i broke a couple items (some on accident even). stole a bunch of stuff...even a dead mans gift...yeah im PETTY... but i stacked all of her shit at the enterence of the apartment.
Time for pickup! she allotted herself 1.5 hours to pack everything and go to her new apartment that is 45 plus mins away. she comes in- overly exaggerates on thanking me for stacking her shit by the entrance. i immediately ask for the keys ...says okay but then âgot distractedâ, we did that 3 times till she finally gave me the keys... then i told her about the ferret poo and she claimed that she was gonna clean it today...BITCH IT TOOK ME OVER 3 HOURS FOR THE POOP CLEANUP ALONE...so yeah fuck her.
later that day i hang out with my new friend, lets call her Anna, who is on Marys snapchat- while Mary was putting her stuff in storage (something she swore shed never do) she was saying how pissed she is and how horribly i am for stacking her shit at the entrance. glad to see she's as two-faced as ever.
POST BREAKUP DRAMA:
1) she tried to get rid of everything i gave her but she cant unbuy my car lmao.
2) she got stranded in Texas because she ran out of gas....even though the car tells you how many miles it has before it runs out...like i said, she incredibly stupidÂ
3) she tried to slither in my life by sending a pic via snap to Anna and then said âoops my finger slippedâ ummm its snapchat and thats not how it works stupid ( and this is one of her go to ploys so like lol why?) it was also a pic of a boot that she gave me but its ugly so i gave it back. idk what her whole plan was but it backfire because Anna just blocked her.
4) Quinn came back <3
5) i am obsessed and cant seem to stop stalking her so now imma try just being crazy in blog form to see if my needy bpd self can CHILL. cuz ug i just want to stab her...like 37 times...in the face (it would be an improvement)

In Which Two Steps Forward Are Taken
Alya glares at her homework with enough vicious intensity that the paper seems to shrink away out of sheer terror. Â Through the wall she can hear the low arguing of her parents, which occasionally rises to a furious screech before her mother brings her voice back down. Probably to avoid disturbing her sisters.
How considerate of her.
Her phone, charging off on the side of her desk, buzzes. Â Alya reaches over and unlocks it, glancing at the screen.
A message from Nino. Â She taps the notification and opens it.
âHey babe,â she reads. Â âur mom looked pretty angry earlier when she came by to pick u upâ
She considers giving his commentary the degree of attention it deservesâwhich, considering that even blind-as-a-bat Nino sans glasses couldâve noticed the expression of barely-controlled rage on her motherâs face from twenty paces, probably merited only a flatly sarcastic âReally.â or âWow, you think so?ââbut refrains. Â Nino wasnât doing anything wrong, and it wasnât fair of her to vent her spleen at him.
âYeah, she decided to chew me out over what happened in school today,â she texts back.
âOvr everyone going after chloeâ
âYeah.â
âU all rightâ
âYeah, Iâm fine, thanks. Â I mean, aside from being grounded for a month. Â And suspended.â
âUhâ
After a second, Nino follows up his message with a concisely eloquent âWhat.â
âYeah, it turns out that fucking spineless tit Damocles doesnât like being called a corrupt pig chained to the petty whims of a vain teenaged brat of a girl.â
A few more seconds pass before Nino replies, âYou whatâ.
âI may have lost my temper at him. Â Slightly.â
âAfter the rest of us left huhâ
âYeah.â
âBabe i love uâ
âI sense a but coming.â
âBut you really really need to cool it with the whole provoking chloe thingâ
Alya quashes the shrieking, rising tide of rage and goes intead with a measured, âNino, I would choose your next words. Â Very. Â Carefully.â
âOh for crying out loud just wait a secâ
She waits a second. Â Then a minute.
âWell?â
âLook we all get it,â Nino writes. Â âWe all love mari and we all hate that chloe likes to pick on her and letting that stuff slide makes none of us happy. Â But ur the only one of us whose mom actually works for her. Â Do u think that shes not going to be petty enough to go after ur fam?â
The entire apartment goes still. Â A quiet, high-pitched ringing fills her ears.
âBabe?
Uh babe
Babe u havent said anything
Its been like a minute
Oh fuck
Did ur mom lose her jobâ
âNo,â Alya types in quickly, âno, weâre fine, Nino.â
âOh goodâ
âI had not thought of that, damn.â Â Alya stops and chews on her upper lip. Â âBut look, I donâtâ
âLook I know u dont want to not do the right thing,â Nino texts before she can finish. Â âUh if you get my pointâ
âI do, thank you Nino.â
âBut u need to take care of urself too
Mari wouldnt want u to ruin ur life for herâ
âLook, even /she/ canât get Mom fired that easily, there are too many ways theyâd get screwed over legally.â
âU think she cares abt laws? Â Or knows abt them?â
âNo, but her father does.â
A pause. Â Then, âPoint but I still think u should back off a bit. Â U dont need to keep going after chloe all the time, we can do tht. Just focus on helping mari.â
Alya stares at the message for a few seconds before tapping in, âLook, can you take a call right now?â
âSureâ
A second later, her phone rings. Â She accepts the call and turns on the speakerphone.
âHey babe,â Nino says.
âNino, I canât do that,â Alya says. Â âNo, let me finish. Â Marinette needs someone whoâll always be there to stand up for her, andâIâm trying not to be too judgmental here, but you guys have dropped the ball consistently there.â
âOkay,â Nino says after a moment. Â âHarsh, but yeah, I get what youâre saying.â
âSo Iâcanât, Nino,â Alya says, âI canât just do that to her.â
âI thought youâd say that,â Nino says with a sigh. Â âHow long are you going to be out of class?â
âEight days starting tomorrow,â Alya says. Â âSo Iâll be back, uh, next next Tuesday, I think. Â Yeah, Tuesday.â
âAll right,â Nino says. Â âIâll talk to Adrien, see if the four of us canât hang out at your place sometime this weekend.â
âThat is probably not going to work,â Alya says, sticking her tongue out in the direction of the living room. Â âGrounded, remember? Â I sincerely doubt Momâd let me have friends over.â
âYeesh,â Nino says. Â âThink that telling her that weâre bringing class notes would work? Â We have that test in math the Friday you get back.â
âI think the automatic response to that would be âwhy donât you just email them to her?ââ Alya says, making a face. Â âYouâre welcome to give it a shot, though.â
âSometimes I forget how harsh your mom is,â Nino says. Â Someone says something in the background, the words indistinct. Â Nino responds, âYeah, give me a sec.â
âYou need to go?â
âChores,â Nino says.
âWow,â Alya says. Â âBummer.â
âYour mockery is noted and unappreciated,â Nino says with a haughty sniff. âLove you, babe. Â Talk to you later.â
âLove you, Nino.â
Alya sets her phone down on her desk with a quiet click as Nino hangs up and slumps back into her chair, letting the noises of her apartment fill her room.
Itâs just that the noises are about ninety percent her parents arguing.
âWhatâs going to happen the next time she decides to do that to an authority figure?â her mother shouts, the words punching easily through the intervening walls. Â âShe could get arrested! Â Or shot!â
âAnd what kind of message do you think weâre sending to her,â her father replies, his basso voice a heated rumble, âto her sisters? Â That if someone powerful and influential does something wrong they should just shuffle along and pretend that nothing wrong is going on?â
âThere is a time and a place for these things, and neither of them is right in front of the Headmaster, to the Headmasterâs face!â
âThen where? Â Then when? When is a good time to point out the obvious injustice of her situation?â
âShe goes to the rector, or someone else up the ladder from the Headmaster,â her mother says. Â âShe uses some common sense and good judgment instead of rash bullheadedness!â
Alya sighs, heads to her bed, and stuffs her head beneath her pillow, muffling her fatherâs reply.
At some point, she falls asleep.
âMorning, Nino,â Marinette says the next morning as he walks in with Adrien at his heels; Adrien slides his torn bag across to Marinette with a wink that makes something flush hotly in her chest. Â âM-Morning, Adrien. Â Hey,â Marinette says, âdid either of you see Alya on your way in?â
âShe didnât tell you?â Nino says, his brows popping up for a moment. Â âShe decided to yell at Damocles for basically just doing whatever Chloe wants him to do instead of his job. Â She got suspended.â
âUh,â Adrien says.
âShe what?â Marinette says.
âShe, uh, basically called Damocles a sock puppet with Chloeâs Dadâs hand up his ass,â Nino says.
âTo his face,â Marinette says.
âA-yup.â
Marinette swears under her breath as Adrien asks, âHow long is she suspended for?â
âTwo weeks,â Nino says.
âWait, what?â Alix says. Â She reaches up and pops out an earbud. Â The sound of someone screeching loudly in Russian while an electric guitar howls in the background rings tinnily from it before she reaches down and pauses her music. âChloe got Alya suspended?â
âThis is going to get repetitive,â Nino mutters under his breath. âAll right, so Alya got in a shouting match with Damocles, said some things she shouldnât have, Damocles gave her a two-week suspension. Â I donât know if Chloe actually, yâknow, told him to punish her or if she egged her on, but thatâs all I know.â
âAw, jeez,â Alix says, rolling her eyes and slumping back into her chair. âYour girlfriend is an idiot, Nino.â
âSometimes,â Nino says.
They hear a haughty sniff from the door way and a rapid clat-clatter of heels on the floor. Â Half a dozen headsâAdrienâs, Alixâs, Marinetteâs, Ninoâs, Kimâs, and Lilaâsâturn towards Chloe as she struts to her seat, followed closely by Sabrina.
âOnly a shame she couldnât get expelled,â she says as she sits. Â âBut Iâm sure sheâll slip up at some point.â
âWe can only hope,â Alix says, attempting to make Chloe spontaneously combust with sheer force of will.
âWhy, thank youââ
âI donât think she was talking about you, Chloe,â Lila says.
âNo,â Alix confirms, âI wasnât. Â Thank you for the clarification. Â Some people needed it, apparently.â Â She waves to Mylene and Ivan as they shuffle into class as well and puts her feet up on the desk and her hands behind her head.
âExcuse me?â Chloe says, bristling.
Alix takes a deep, satisfied breath. Â âFor the benefit of the idiot in the room,â she says, âIâll repeat myself. One of these days, youâre going to let your gigantic ego get the better of you, and youâre going to do something so monumentally stupid even by your standards that even dear old daddy isnât going to be able to cover for you, and all of us are going to be rid of your burden.â
Nino sighs and turns on his music, bringing up the volume until the sounds of Alix, Mylene, and Chloe screaming at each other are mostly drowned out. Â Adrien slouches beside him and looks miserable. Marinette takes out her sketchbook and starts to scribble as the others file in.
âUh, excuse me,â Rose asks Nino as she and Juleka come in a few minutes later. Nino pries his headphones loose and cocks an ear towards her. Â âWhereâs Alââ
âLater,â Nino groans, âplease.â
Juleka approaches him later as everyone is queuing up to leave for lunch.
âAlyaâs been suspended because she mouthed off to Damocles,â Nino says, âsheâll be back in a couple weeks.â
Juleka blinks at him. Â âUh,â she says. Â âYeah. I know. Â Rose told me.â
âOh thank god,â Nino says. Â âYou would not believe how many times Iâve needed to repeat myself today.â
âFourteen times,â Juleka says. Â âMaxâs been keeping score. Â Kim has a small betting pool going as to when youâll crack.â
âHe what?â
âHeâs set up a betting pool as to how many times people will need to ask you where Alya is before you snap,â Juleka says.
âHow much is in the pot?â Nino asks.
âAround twenty euros,â Juleka says.
âWhoâs winning right now?â
âRose and I,â Juleka says. Â âWeâve put five euros in on you snapping at seventeen asks.â
Nino blinks at her, then lets his head sink into his hands. Â âYou guys suck,â he says, voice muffled.
âLove you too. Â Anyways, what I was going to ask was whether you knew what was going on with Adrien and Marinette.â
Nino looks up, bemused. Â âWhat do you mean âwhatâs going onâ?â
âRose says that theyâve been a lot touchier than usual,â Juleka says. âThey seem a lot closer than they were yesterday,â she translates after a look at Ninoâs expression.
Nino thinks it over, his intuition throwing sparks onto tinder at the back of his mind.
âMaybe somethingâs happened,â he says with a shrug. Â âTell you the truth, I hadnât noticed anything really different.â
âToo worried about Alya?â
âToo worried about Chloe deciding to do something involving Alya,â Nino says. Â âSheâs not exactly a kind, wonderful, forgiving, charitable sort of person.â
Juleka makes a face. Â âDonât need to tell me twice,â she says. Â She glances up at Rose, waiting patiently for her at the sidewalk. Â âLook, I gotta go. Â See you later?â
âLater.â
Nino watches the two of them go, absorbed in thought until Adrienâs hand lands lightly on his shoulder.
âHuh? Â Oh, hey,â Nino says.
âHeading home for lunch?â Adrien asks, sitting next to him on the schoolâs front steps.
âDuh,â Nino says.
âWant a ride? Â The Gorilla should be here in a few.â
âSure,â Nino says.
His mind flits back to what Juleka had said. Â Adrien had been closer to Marinette, had he? Â Well, he had offered her his help in snagging him way back when, and it wasnât like itâd hurt to give him just a little nudge. And they didnât have anything else to do.
âHey, is everything all right with Mari?â Nino asks, giving Adrien a sidelong glance. Â âShe seemed really shaken up the other day.â
âHm? Â Oh, yeah,â Adrien says. Â âShe looked a lot better when I left. Â You and Alya went to visit after school, right?â
âYeah,â Nino says. Â âSeemed a little tense, but at least she wasnât actually freaking out.â
âThatâs good,â Adrien says.
Nino leans back onto his elbows. Â âHey,â he says, âdo you know why she had all those band-aids on her fingers?â
âOh, burned herself on a hot pan,â Adrien says, then hastily adds, âthatâs my best guess at any rate. Â She does a lot of baking, doesnât she?â
âProbably,â Nino says. Â âSomeoneâll need to help her with stuff.â
âProbably,â Adrien echoes. Â âReal question is, will she let herself be helped.â
âPride goeth,â Nino says.
âHey, at least one of us will be there to catch her if she trips, right?â Adrien says. Â He shoots Nino a sunny, wolfish smile. Â âWhat are friends for, anyways?â
Nino mirrors his smile and offers up his fist. Â Adrien taps his knuckles to his as a car pulls up to the curb. Â âCome on,â Adrien says. Â âLetâs go.â
âHey, is your hand doing better?â Adrien asks Marinette. Â âYour blisters are healing well?â
âYes, they are,â Marinette says with a patient sigh and a small smile. Â âPlease stop fussing, Iâm not an invalid, Adrien.â
Rose coos at them while Chloe glowers, fuming so ferociously that for a second Nino is forcibly reminded of Mt. Etna, looming over the innocent and unaware citizens of Catania, ready to obliterate them and their little lives in a momentâs notice.
Nino lets his attention drift to more important matters once heâs satisfied that Chloe isnât going to explode and try to claw someoneâs eyes out. Â At least in the immediate future.
Marinette and Adrien had been, well, the only word that really fit was odd, over the past week.
Adrien had been fairly normal, aside from the aggressively keen interest heâd started showing in MarinetteâNino lets himself preen a little at that, go him. Â Just one week and Adrien was already well on the way to asking her out, Alya was going to freak. Â But their every interaction had been tempered with a sense of coiled restraint on Adrienâs part, like heâd desperately wanted to do something or to say something but had felt that the time or the place or the company wasnât quite right. Â Although Chloeâs constant, hovering presence all three were more or less the case.
And, well, Marinette. Â She shouldâve been over the moon with Adrienâs constant, focused attention, Nino was sure. Â He knew that he wasnât exactly a master at reading people but Marinette could be counted on to be as ecstatic as Chloe was incensed whenever Adrien paid her the least bit of attention.
Or, she had been, at least. Â Now she was distant and distracted half the time; but why? Â It probably wasnât anything Chloe had done, every other time this week sheâd made an attempt to crack Marinetteâs composure theyâd put a stop to it before things could get, ahem, messy. Â Maybe the aftereffects of Chloeâs dumb trick with the honey? Â But sheâd seemed practically normal just a couple days after that. Â Maybe she was just worried for Alya? Â That felt a lot more likely, but his gut was still telling him that there was something off about that guess.
Nino grumbles under his breath. Â He needs Alya for this. Â Well, a couple more days and sheâll be back, and then maybe theyâd be able to figure this mess out.
But first, of course, he needs to pass this dumb exam, or his parents would have his head. Â He turns his thoughts away from his friendsâ relationship drama and back towards the mass of incomprehensible squiggles on the board.
âIââ
Thunk.
ââhateââ
Thunk.
ââthis.â
Thunk.
âIâm pretty sure that concussing yourself isnât going to help, Nino,â Adrien says from where he lounges on Marinetteâs floor. Â Marinette lobs a croissant at his head; Adrien catches it, shoots a wink back her way, and bites off one of the horns.
âNot all of us have fancy math tutors to help us, Mr. âIâm already learning calculusâ,â Nino mutters darkly. Â He catches the pain au chocolat that Marinette throws to him and starts chewing steadily through it, not bothering to brush away the crumbs that fall into the spine of his open math textbook. Â âSeriously, this is all Greek to me.â
âYou did pretty well on the homework for this section, didnât you?â Marinette says. Â She takes the last pastry, a cheese danish, from the plate on her desk, folds it in half, and takes a bite.
âI thought I did,â Nino says. Â âBut since I donât get a single thing this book is saying, Iâm having second thoughts about that.â
âIn fairness, this isnât the best resource in the first place,â Adrien says, âaccording to my tutor anyways. Â Frankly I think he just has a personal vendetta against the author or the publisher or something.â
âWell, it is an American publishing house,â Marinette says, flipping through page after page of arcane scrawl with a glazed, disinterested air. âThink that has something to do with it?â
âMaybe,â Adrien says.
âOh, yeah, do you mind if I drop by and use your scanner later, Adrien?â Nino says.
âMm? Â Yeah, sure, why?â
âAlyaâs still under house arrest, remember?â Nino says. Â âSheâs going to need our notes.â
Adrien pauses in the middle of copying out an equation, shakes his head with a slight frown, and continues. Â âShoot, canât believe I forgot that. Â Think her mom will let her Skype in?â
âProbably,â Nino says.
âIâll text her and see if sheâs open,â Marinette says, pulling out her phone and tapping a quick message.
âIâll pop down and return the plate,â Adrien says.
Nino groans and rolls onto his back as Adrien hauls open the trapdoor and trots downstairs, sitting up and stretching out his back and neck with a succession of loud pops.
âSeriously, how the heck does Adrien remember all this stuff?â Marinette grumbles, opening a drawer and taking out a sheet of lined paper. Â âIâve been staring at this for half an hour and I still canât remember all the identities.â
âFancy expensive math tutor, remember?â Nino says.
âAh. Â Right.â
Nino stares at her back as Marinette starts scribbling, slowly and carefully, her gaze darting back and forth between the text and her notes.
âOn the subject of Adrien,â he says carefully. Â âIs it just me, or has he been paying a lot more attention to you recently?â
Marinette pauses for a second, then erases a line from her notes. âThatâs possible,â she says.
âYouâre taking this calmly.â
âYou were expecting something else?â
âYes,â Nino says. Â âMore flailing, freaking out, panicking, that sort of thing.â
Marinette turns around in her chair and raises an eyebrow at him. âExcuse me?â
âJust saying,â Nino says, âyou have, in general, tended to freak whenever Adrien was involved.â
âI have not,â Marinette says, with a coloring of mild indignation to her words.
âMarinette, even Adrien was picking up on how weird you were acting around him,â Nino says.
Marinette frowns slightly. Â âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean, like, before all this stupid crap with Chloe and stuff, back when you first met him,â Nino says. Â âThe flailing, the random squealing, the whole âhiding behind the nearest solid object or Alya whenever heâs aroundâ thing.â
Marinette blinks, a slow blush burning down from her ears into her cheeks and upwards from her shoulders. Â After a minute, she looks down and mumbles, âWell, things have changed.â
âDude,â Nino says. Â âYouâve had him fawning over you for an entire week and youâve kept your cool the entire time? Â Iâd say âthings have changedâ is the understatement of the year.â
âNo kidding,â Marinette says with a little laugh.
âHey,â Adrien says, popping his head up through the trapdoor, making them both jump. Â âHey, Nino, you free for dinner? Â Marinetteâs parents want to know.â
âUh, probably not,â Nino says.
âAll right.â Â Adrien shuts the trapdoor behind him and tromps down the stairs.
âMaybe we shouldnât talk about this while Adrienâs around,â Marinette says.
âYeah,â Nino says.
Marinette stands and stretches, wincing at the sharp-dull, sharp-dull aching pulse in her back, and brushes a sweat-damp lock of her hair back behind an ear.
She really ought to thank her dad after this. Â Sheâd almost forgotten how much ass cleaning out the ovens sucked.
But hey, on the bright side making sure that the ovens were sparkling now meant less labor for the rest of the month. Â Theoretically.
She just wishes that it felt like a plus, instead of like a herniated disc.
Well, punishment wasnât supposed to be an all-expenses paid vacation, and it wasnât as though she didnât kinda sorta deserve it for going behind her parentsâ back like that.
She was going to be grounded for so long when they found out about the Ladybug thing.
Her thoughts inexorably shift to Tikki, currently sulking nearby atop one of the counters.
A week had not changed the little spiritâs mind on the whole âtell my boyfriend, who is Chat Noir, that I am Ladybug, who also happens to have been the girl he has pined after for literally his entire career, which granted is only a few months at this point but will definitely help clear up any issues in the future and make our dating life much less awkward in the long runâ, or made them more talkative on the subject. Â Not a peep, not a word, not a single damn hint as to why they were so reluctant to let her tell him.
Frustrating in the extreme.
And what makes it worse, she reflects as she starts scrubbing the next oven, is that the kwami wouldnât be so insistent if they didnât have a very, very good reason.
She crawls inside the oven, wriggling flat on her back to fit, and bangs her head on something when she hears a sudden sharp rapping on the bakeryâs front door.
âOw,â she growls as she shimmies her way back out, rubbing the spotâthat was going to leave a bruise. Â Who the hell would come by at this hour? Â Well, burglars, maybe, but theyâd just try to smash in one of the windows, they wouldnât knock.
Rap rap rap rap.
âAll right, all right, Iâm coming, what the hell do youââ
AdrienâChat Noir, she corrects herself mentallyâis standing on her front step.
She goggles at him for a moment as he waves cheerily.
âWhat the hell are you doing here this late,â Marinette hisses at him as she unlocks the door. Â âKeep it down, weâre dead meat if Mama and Papa hear us.â
âWell, I had some time before my evening patrol,â Chat purrs as Marinette unlocks the security gate and pulls it open as quietly as she can. Â âAnd I figured that Iâd stop by to see my favoriteââ
âKnock it off, Adrien,â Marinette says, âIâm serious, youâre not even supposed to be here unless itâs to help me study! Â At least for another few weeks.â
Chat reaches behind him and pulls out a folded sheet of paper from his belt. Â âI figured you might need this,â he says innocently. Â âYou know, for the test.â
Marinette stares blankly at it, then at his all-too-innocently-sunny expression.
Oh, fuck it. Â Sheâd missed this.
âCome in,â she says resignedly, taking the paper from him and stuffing it into a pocket. Â She pulls the security gate across and locks it again as Chat skips in, humming a little tune under his breath.
He engulfs her in a hug from behind, gently resting his chin on her shoulder. Â Marinette jumps in surprise, nearly headbutting him as she instinctively jerks backwards, her heel twitching upwards in an entirely reflexive movement. Then she relaxes and sinks into the embrace. Â Her hands move to rest languidly over his arms.
âI missed you,â he says.
Marinette snorts. Â âYou were here like, two hours ago. Â And weâll see each other tomorrow anyways.â
âI still missed you,â he says. Â âAnd I missed this. Â Being able to just be alone with you.â
âYou are so needy,â she says, reaching up to scratch him behind an ear; he purrs and leans into her touch. Â âAnd donât pout at me like that.â
âYou canât even see my face,â he says.
âI can see your reflection in the glass, kitty,â Marinette says. Â She pushes at his arms around her waist until he releases her, with many whines of protest. Â âAnd donât bother with the kitty eyes either.â
Chat turns the kitty eyes up to eleven as Marinette turns to face him with a small smile flitting about the edges of her composure, then up to twelve as she shows no sign of budging.
âI give,â he says after a minute.
âHah!â Â Marinette raises both fists in the air, walking a mock victory lap around Chat as he claps. Â âDo I win anything, oh boyfriend-of-mine?â
The expression on his face drains, to be replaced nervous wariness.
âUh, Chat? Â Whatâs wrong?â
âUh,â he says after a moment. Â âThatâs actually what I came here about, we never really got a chance to make it official, remember?â
âWhat? Â Oh.â
Marinette, despite herself, flushes and looks down at her feet.
âYou, uh,â Chat says, âum, ever done this before?â
âNo,â Marinette says quickly, glancing up. Â âNo, youâd be my first. Â I mean, if you want to be.â
âOh, good,â he says.
The two stand a little bit apart from each other, staring at each otherâs shoes, neither daring to make the first move. Â Marinette almost laughs; they mustâve looked ridiculous, the two of them, standing there all bashful and coy and whatever.
And then, with that thought, her nervousness vanishes.
He was as nervous as she was. Â Him. Perfect boy, whom sheâd pined after for so long, was nervous, and she, little plain olâ her, was the cause. Â The sudden tide of light-headed relief almost makes her laugh. Â She was standing here all sweaty and dirty and in her rumpled, baggy work clothes and Mr. Swoony Teenage Supermodel was the one looking for escape routes.
âYou are such a dork,â Marinette says.
And then she stretches up on tiptoe and kisses him, lightly and chastely, on the lips.
Chat freezes as she leans into him, her hands on his shoulders, her eyes sliding shut, the corners of her mouth turning up in a small smile as she feels the warmth and the life and the trembling, breath-stealing fear in him as it drains away, to be replaced with the absolute reality of the moment and the unquestionable, unassailable truth of them, here and now, together.
He leans into the kiss, slowly, without passion, but with a growing and absolute surety in two unspoken things.
Sheâs his.
Heâs hers.
After a timeless, breathless little eternity, Marinette pulls away and settles back onto her heels. Â Her small smile grows wider as she sees the look on his face.
âChat got your tongue?â she says.
Chat blinks and refocuses. Â âIâm supposed to be the one with the terrible lines,â he says, reaching out to cup her cheek in one hand. Â His ears twitch as Marinette leans into his touch, and he could swear that he hears the rapid thudding beat of herâor was it his?âheart as they hold each otherâs gaze.
âSo, uh,â Chat says after a long while. Â He drops his hands to his sides. Â âDo you need help with those?â
âHuh?â Â Marinette blinks at him as she shifts mental gears.
âThe ovens,â he says.
âOh,â she says. Â âNah, Iâm good. Â I should be done in another ten, fifteen minutes.â
âItâd go faster if I helped.â
âItâs not big enough to fit both of us at the same time,â Marinette says, prodding him gently towards the front door. Â âBesides, Mama and Papa would freak out if they saw you here.â
âIâm not entirely sure your parents are capable of that,â Chat says as she unlocks the gate. Â âIâll see you tomorrow?â
âSee you tomorrow,â Marinette says. Â She stretches up on tiptoe again and pecks him on the nose. Â âNight.â
Chat takes her hand and presses a kiss to the back. Â âGood evening, Princess,â he says.
Then he vanishes into the night.
Marinette locks up the bakery again and finishes cleaning the oven, then traipses upstairs, humming happily.
âFinished, dear?â Sabine asks as Marinette starts up the stairs to her room.
âYes, Mama.â
âGood,â Sabine says. Â âDonât stay up too late, dear.â
âOr be entertaining any boys,â she calls as an afterthought.
âI promise, Mama,â Marinette says.
Marinette goes to her room, shuts the trapdoor, and is halfway through pulling her sleep clothes from her closet when she notices the phone on her rug.
âHuh.â
She glances over to where her own phone is charging on her desk, then back at the phone on her rug, then walks over and picks it up, turning it over in her hands.
Ninoâs. Â He mustâve dropped it during their study session.
She turns on the screen: four missed calls from a number labeled as âHomeâ. The calls mustâve come in when she was downstairs in the bakery.
Marinette shrugs and places the phone next to hers. Â She can just give to him tomorrow, no big deal.
Marinette leaves and takes her shower, then, still floating along on cloud nine, curls up in her bed under her blankets, and falls asleep smiling.
Nino sprints down the sidewalk, legs churning, his every breath a knife in his chest.
Forget his phone, forget getting it back, forget all of that, there were more important things to worry about at the moment. Â He needs to get back home, he needs to get to his computer, he needs to message Alya pronto, he needs to tell someone.
Holy.
Fuck.
Adrien was going to flip.
