Note
Anon about wlw books vs. fflf here. No, I mean it completely. Anyone can see you write the characters carefully, even while you claim you don’t plan your works, and they have their own personalities and flaws and it makes people relate to them. It’s honestly a honor and joy to read your work miss Dobby from Star Wars.
🥺 thank u sm omg

What I Read in July 2021
Oh, man, this is gonna be a long post. I bookmarked 33 fics, all of them Harry Potter related, with a few cross-overs.
Forget-Me-Not by Lomonaaeron *favorite*
Plot: Harry isn’t the Boy-Who-Lived, but his parents still died, and Albus Dumbledore, concerned that Death Eaters might seek the boy’s death, cast a powerful charm on him to make wizards ignore him before Harry was left with the Dursleys. Except, with the Elder Wand in play, the charm was far too powerful, and made others essentially forget Harry existed when not directly interacting with him. Sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, Harry lives a contented life with no one either loving or hating him…until the charm breaks on his seventeenth birthday, and he’s suddenly plunged directly into the middle of a living world at war.
Characters: Harry, Theo Nott, Dumbledore, Neville, Ollivander, Lupin, Rabastan Lestrange, Ron, Hermione, Draco, original non-human characters, Peter Pettigrew, Umbridge
Relationships: Harry Potter/Theo Nott
Warnings: none apply
Tags: ancient runes, socially awkward Harry Potter, Ravenclaw Harry Potter, Harry Potter is not the boy-who-lived, angst, romance, horcruxes, muggleborn registration commission, blood magic
My Notes: I inhaled this in one sitting and then cried for like 10 minutes afterwards, it’s so beautifully written, it became an instant favorite
*complete*
He Turned Around by ChipOfftheOldSoul *favorite*
Plot: When the Goblet of Fire spit out Harry's name that Halloween night, he was told to join the other champions. Instead, he turned around and walked away.
Characters: Harry, Snape, Draco, Ron, Hermione, Victor Krum, Cedric Diggory, Fleur Delacour, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Crabbe, Goyle, Daphne Greengrass, Fred & George, Marcus Flint, Millicent Bulstrode, Tracey Davis
Relationships: Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter; Harry Potter & Severus Snape; Draco Malfoy & Severus Snape
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse, mentioned homophobia
Tags: book 4, good Severus Snape, good Draco Malfoy, good Slytherins, smart Harry Potter, Dumbledore bashing, manipulative Dumbledore, past child abuse, runes, slow burn, enemies to friends to lovers, Slytherin Harry Potter, Hogwarts House re-sort, no Ron bashing but he’s not great for a while
My Notes: I’ve already read this twice in less than a week period and I cannot wait until it’s updated (hopefully it’ll be updated) and I absolutely love the way it’s written and Harry’s characterization. I also very much appreciate that there won’t be Ron bashing, I’ve read too many Ron bashing fics, but I am here for all of the Dumbledore bashing!
*incomplete* [last updated June 2021]
Stars by LilyIsAwesomerThanYou
Plot: When Snape discovers Harry's abusive past during an Occlumency lesson, Harry panics. Snape is forced to take care of him in the aftermath. Mentor/guardian fic. As always, no slash.
Characters: Harry Potter, Severus Snape, Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione
Relationships: Gen
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse, emotional/psychological abuse, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempt, depression
Tags: Severitus, angst, drama, past abuse, hurt/comfort, mentor Snape, guardian Snape, occlumency
My Notes: Snape is a dick in this one, and so far he has not gotten any better, just a warning, but there’s some great Harry angst going on here (that’s why I bookmarked it). Yeah, Snape is pretty evil in this one, there’s some victim blaming and just straight up verbal abuse from him.

violet hill by rejectedreality
Plot: Where Harriet Potter is Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes’ soulmate.
Fandoms: Harry Potter & MCU
Characters: Bucky Barnes, Harry Potter, Steve Rogers, Hermione, Ron
Relationships: Bucky Barnes/Harry Potter; Steve Rogers/Harry Potter; Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers; Bucky/Steve/Harry
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse, emotional/psychological abuse
Tags: fem!Harry Potter, soulmate-identifying marks, age difference, angst with a happy ending, it gets worse before it gets better
My Notes: this is so, so, so fucking beautiful! I am straight up in love with this fic, and I am so sad that it hasn’t been updated for a few years because there was so much potential. There are some hints at underage couples, as Harry’s 15 while Bucky and Steve are adults, but nothing actually happens.

trapped in a blue haze by MourningElegance
Plot: “And in that moment, Draco knows. He knows that all his deep-rooted suspicions about Harry’s childhood are terribly, horribly true.” As their relationship grows, so do Draco’s misgivings about Harry’s past.

From the Dungeons by huntersg1rl
Plot: One conversation goes slightly differently. How much does it change? Features a caring Snape, supportive Malfoys, strong friendships, and Slytherin Harry.
Characters: Harry, Draco, Blaise, Pansy, Daphne, Snape, Narcissa, Lucius, Sirius, Remus, Pomfrey, Dumbledore
Relationships: pre-Harry/Draco; Severus Snape & Harry Potter
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse
Tags: Slytherin Harry Potter, Good Severus Snape, good Lucius Malfoy, good Narcissa Malfoy, manipulative Dumbledore, POC Harry, animagus transformation, wizengamot, politics and culture
My Notes: YA’LL! This one is so cool! It’s going under some major maintenance at the moment, so it’ll be a bit of a wait until it gets going again but I recommend reading it immediately before the changes get enacted. I don’t want to spoil anything, but Harry’s a BAMF in this series, especially when we get to book 3
*incomplete* [this is a series, first three parts are completed, last updated February 2021]
Fighting for Freedom by dreamsofmermaids

Characters: Harry, Snape, Aaron Hotchner, Spencer Reid, Jason Gideon, Emily Prentiss, Sirius Black, Voldemort

Warnings: graphic depictions of violence, major character death, attempted sexual assault, implied/referenced child abuse, suicide attempt, kidnapping
Tags: Dumbledore bashing, Weasley bashing, Hermione bashing, Harry runs away, Snape bashing, not so evil Voldemort, trouble magnet!Harry
My Notes: this one is really good and it features a Harry and Dobby friendship. I’m gonna spoil it right now, Hotchner is Harry’s dad, I hate it when it doesn’t state it in the tags

The heir of something or other by diregewithoutmusic
Plot: When kids in the Slytherin Common Room tossed jeers at the pudgy feet of Millicent Bulstrode, Harry rose up to do something about it. This Harry, now one of Snape’s own, got fewer House points lost but many more detentions– it had never been the colors on his hem that Severus hated. This was not wishing Harry an easy path. This was not wishing the boy a warm House. This was Harry, three weeks in, sleep deprived and considering running away and going back to Privet Drive. This was Harry in the back of Potions class, blank-faced under Snape’s disdain the way he’d perfected under the Dursleys’s torments. When Quirrell shouted “troll in the dungeons, thought you ought to know,” and Harry overheard that there was a girl in the bathroom crying, he still ran off to make sure she got out okay. He hesitated first, at the back of the little pack of Slytherin first years (at the back so that no one could get behind him)– he hesitated. And Millicent Bulstrode, who could never quite keep her tummy tucked in enough, could never brush all the cat hair off her robes, never quite keep her temper in check, hesitated, too.
Characters: Harry, Millicent, Colin Creevey, Hermione, Dennis Creevey, Luna, Ron, Draco, Astoria, Daphne, Pansy, Neville, Susan Bones
Relationships: gen
Warnings: major character death
Tags: Slytherin Harry, canon typical violence
My Notes: this made me cry. It like actually made me cry. I don’t cry when I read fanfiction, but this one actually made me cry, it’s been two weeks and I still feel like crying thinking about this fic, but that being said it’s written so beautifully.

Conditionally by Lomonaaeren
Plot: Harry finds out that he's Snape's son. It goes as badly as possible.
Characters: Harry, Snape, Dumbledore, Sirius, Hermione, Ron, Seamus, Umbridge, Rita, Neville, Voldemort
Relationships: minor Lily/Snape; Harry & Snape; Hermione & Ron & Harry
Warnings: graphic depictions of violence, suicidal thoughts, minor character death
Tags: Severitus, present tense, powerful Harry, Snape is Harry’s biological father, unhealthy coping mechanisms, independent Harry
My Notes: wow this one made me so mad for Harry. Sirius and Remus are not Harry’s friends, nor Dumbledore. Be warned, as good as this fic is, you will be very angry at all the adults in this fic. Snape isn’t a loving father type, and their relationship isn’t the greatest but it’s better than nothing by the end.

Harry Potter and the Secrets Within by WhoWroteThis
Plot: Harry Potter is a very special, but very abused little boy. When a giant drags him into a world unknown, he'll need all the help he can get to understand his newfound belonging. Lucky for him, he has a snake, a dragon, and a horde of protective allies on his side.
Characters: Harry, original animal characters, Snape, Draco, Lucius and Narcissa, Portrait Salazar Slytherin, Basilisk, Blaise, Hogwarts ghosts, Quirrell, Voldemort
Relationships: Harry & Voldemort; Harry & Draco; Harry & Snape
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse, internalized homophobia, implied/referenced alcohol abuse, suicide threats and thoughts
Tags: Harry Potter needs a hug, parseltongue, Harry Potter has a pet snake, powerful Harry, metamorphmagus Harry, good Malfoy family, Slytherin Harry, slow burn, Slytherin politics, Hagrid bashing, Hermione bashing, Ron bashing, Dumbledore bashing, rituals, centaurs, dragons, cats, snakes
My Notes: I will literally never be trustworthy of the basilisk after reading Antithesis but I have to admit the basilisk in this fic is pretty great

The Tainted Blood of the Father by StarLight_Massacre *favorite*
Fandoms: Supernatural & Harry Potter
Plot: Harry has broken away from his chains after the Dursleys go too far. A simple desire to make a withdrawal from Gringotts leads to something much larger and exposes more than he ever knew about himself. A rushed, impulsive trip to America changes his entire life as he might have just found himself a true family to call his own.
Characters: Harry, John Winchester, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Bobby
Relationships: Gen
Warnings: graphic depictions of violence, implied/referenced child abuse, attempted sexual assault
Tags: Awkward Winchesters trying to deal with Harry, cinnamon roll Harry
My Notes: The dynamic between Harry and the Winchesters shouldn’t work this well, but they absolutely do. Harry is a little Sam, he acts so much like him it’s so cute and everyone finds it so cute. Really great amount of angst and hurt/comfort. Doesn’t deal with the wizard side of things that much but I expect that’ll change in the upcoming chapters. Author has stated they don’t know if the Winchesters ever will find out that Harry’s a wizard, however, so keep that in mind
*incomplete* [last updated April 2021]
On a Pale Horse by Hyliian
Plot: When Dumbledore tried to summon a hero from another world to deal with their Dark Lord problem, this probably wasn't what he had in mind.
Characters: Harry, Death, Dumbledore, Hermione, Remus, Voldemort, Ron
Relationships: Gen
Warnings: none
Tags: master of death Harry, dimension travel, summoning rituals gone horribly wrong, godlike Harry, Dumbledore bashing, crack treated seriously, does major character death count as a tag when the major character is Death?
My Notes: so absolutely creepy, I love it so much, our Harry is not really all that much like Harry at all because he’s an immortal eldritch being of horror

tell me whether he is dead by LullabyKnell *favorite*

Warnings: none
Tags: post-canon, epilogue what epilogue, post-battle of Hogwarts, post-Deathly Hallows, haunting, implied/referenced character death, gen or pre-slash, fluff and angst, oblivious Harry, master of death Harry
My Notes: so fucking brilliant, this author literally never misses, the relationship between the golden trio is so fucking cute and I love them so much

A New Place to Stay by DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan *favorite*
Plot: Harry Potter is called up to Dumbledore's office and told he was being moved elsewhere to keep him safe. He no longer has to stay at the Dursley's, but Dumbledore tells him he has to stay with Severus Snape. For a few days it seemed like a bad idea. Until Severus Snape uncovers the truth of who Harry Potter really is and what he's been through. Watch as Severus does as nobody else has done before him. He takes care of Harry. Watch him flourish into who he was meant to be, a boy with the heart of a Gryffindor and smarts of a Slytherin. The Dursley's, Umbridge and Dumbledore had better watch out Severus is out for revenge. Spy or no spy, Severus is not allowing anyone away with hurting Harry.
Characters: Snape, Harry, Dumbledore, Neville, Luna, Hermione, Ron
Relationships: Gen
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse
Tags: Severitus
My Notes: I’ve read so many of these types of fics that even though this is more than 300k words I can’t remember a single thing about this but it must’ve been good because I labelled it as favorite, so

truth’s like blood underneath your fingernails by Choices_We_Make, questionsthemselves
Plot: "Slytherin would do well, help you on the path to greatness," the hat seems to be coaxing him, but for something that can read his mind, it sure doesn't seem to know him very well. Harry doesn't want greatness. He doesn't need his name in lights and on everyone's lips. He wants meals, hot ones, whenever he wants, with people that he likes and that like him. Friends he can have adventures with, huddle under the blankets with at night and laugh with. People who might think… think he's worth something. In which Harry is sorted into Slytherin, and Snape deals with the fallout.
Characters: Harry, Snape, Draco, Theo, Blaise
Relationships: Harry & Snape
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse
Tags: Slytherin Harry, Severitus sort of, angst with a sort of hopeful ending, Snape discovers abuse

Characters: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Death, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Clint, Natasha, Loki, Thor, Bruce, May Parker
Relationships: Harry/Ginny; Thor/Harry; Harry & Avengers
Warnings: PTSD, suicide attempts
Tags: master of death Harry, magically powerful Harry, panic attacks, hurt/comfort, post-snap
My Notes: I don’t usually like Harry paired with any of the Avengers other than Peter, but Thor and Harry are so soft and written beautifully, I love this author so much

Another Mind Game by May_May_o_o *favorite*
Plot: Harry’s occlumency reveals his disturbing home life which sets off a chain reaction that cannot be undone. Snape finds himself begrudgingly caring about the bespectacled boy, Harry discovers what it's like to have adults who care, and Hermione finds herself becoming an accidental crime lord. Draco Malfoy is very much along for the ride, in all senses of the word. A ridiculous blend of hilarity and tragedy, Another Mind Game is the multi-faceted fanfiction you didn't know you wanted but will absolutely adore. Featuring a sassy Harry Potter, good friends, and a great deal of sarcasm.
Characters: Harry, Neville, Hermione, George, Fred, Snape, Ron, Luna, McGonagall, Dumbledore, house elves
Relationships: Draco/Harry; Hermione/Ron; Snape & Harry
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse; presumed suicidal (it makes sense when you read it)
Tags: mentor Snape, strong Harry, sassy Harry, slow burn, fluff and angst, Dumbledore bashing, crack treated seriously, Snape adopts Harry, protective Hogwarts, magically powerful Harry
My Notes: favorite, absolute favorite, read it three times already and it’s only been three weeks! The endnotes are so funny and add a lot of levity to the story

Characters: Harry, Snape, Dumbledore
Relationships: Harry & Snape
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse
Tags: traumatized Harry, miscommunications, Snape adopts Harry, sickfic

The Freak Who Lived by DeviantHufflepuff, Zaharya
Plot: When Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, he is kicked out of Gryffindor Tower by those he thought of as friends. It isn't until Snape finds him that the truth comes out about The Boy Who Lived.
Characters: Harry, Snape, Pomfrey, McGonagall, Viktor Krum, Fleur, Cedric, Draco, Neville, Blaise
Relationships: Sirius/Remus; Harry & Snape; Harry/Blaise
Warnings: graphic depictions of violence, implied/referenced child abuse, PTSD, trauma induced age regression (not intense), suicidal thoughts
Tags: book 4, Severitus, Snape adopts Harry, panic attacks, seer Luna, Harry needs a hug, McGonagall is basically Harry’s mom, manipulative Dumbledore but he’s not evil, big brother Draco
My Notes: Snape is pretty cuddly in this one, he’s not shy with feelings and showing Harry that he’s loved which is nice and a nice change from other Severitus fics. Don’t be off-put by the age regression tag, it’s super low-key, there’s only a couple throw-away lines about it.

Stinging Nettle and Milking Pails by Oceanbreeze7 *favorite*
Plot: Are you a witch or / Are you a fairy? / Or are you the wife / of Michael Cleary? “The fairies will do wicked things sometimes,” Harry murmured gently, “Steal the milk when they get a chance, or skim the cream off the milk crocks.” “Do they ever steal anything more?” Luna asked him rhetorically. Harry couldn’t answer.
Characters: Harry, Luna, James, Lily
Warnings: author chose not to use warnings
Tags: wrong-boy-who-lived, Harry has a twin, dark fairy tale elements, fairy tale style, druids, fae and fairies, James and Lily live
My Notes: Oceanbreeze7 should straight up be a horror writer. This is the writer who wrote Antithesis, the fic that I was literally unable to finish because I was too heartbroken, and they did not disappoint with this one! It’s so good! It’s so horrific! It’s so heartbreaking!

Sarcasm and Slytherin by orphan_account *favorite*
Plot: After ten years of misery with the Dursleys, Harry Potter learns that he has magic. Except, in this story, it's not a surprise-the only surprise is that there are others like him. Including his twin brother, Julian Potter, the savior of the Wizarding world. This isn't the Harry you think you know.
Characters: Harry, Theo, Blaise, OMC, Hermione, Ron, Neville, James Potter, Luna, Daphne, Snape, Dumbledore
Relationships: none
Warnings: implied/referenced child abuse
Tags: wrong-boy-who-lived, Slytherin Harry, Harry has a twin, Slytherin politics, no pairings before 4th year, potential Dumbledore bashing, James bashing, potential Snape bashing, Draco’s still annoying
My Notes: I’m not sure why it’s now an orphan account or if it will ever be updated, but I’ve seen a lot of people on reddit compare this with Prince of Slytherin (a series I haven’t read because I chose this one over it) so be cautious of that. I straight up want to murder James Potter, though, so that’s a nice thought. I finally finished it! I started this back in early June and I miss it a lot, I spent many hours reading this.

A deal
Dear Breanie, Hello, my name is Jass Mauro and I’m just a recently new reader that had spend the lasts days reading your story “a second chance”. I wanna congratulate you. Your story is amazing, you gave Sirius that story and life that he deserved. Seriously I have no words to tell you how much I love it reading. Everything that you wrote is amazing, all the moments, all the characters, I truly love it your story. For many moments I thought that “this is the kind of fanfic that need to send to aunt Jo”, the way you wrote, never forgetting anything about any character, you gave them life. But it was Sirius that I love the most, everything that you wrote is exactly how I picture him you know? I was surprise to notice how well you wrote him, it was like you were reading my mind and writing. Sirius always were my favorite character from all the books that I have read in my all life, because of this quote. “If you want to know how a truly men is, look how he treat his inferiors not his equals-Hp4”, and during the fanfic you wrote of him and I swear I could see the same men that aunt Jo wrote, this amazing men, that suffered a lot but also would do anything for not only for the people that he loved but to everyone that showed a good heart. Now please forgive myself, I’m writing this crying as I never cried before. See during this 219 chapters you wrote a Sirius that I love it so much, that I felt attached to him more then aunt Jo’s Sirius, I feel like I know your Sirius as someone close to me, so yes, his death is hurting so much, more than I can explain and more than you will ever understand. I understand that you wanted to follow the book, and for a few moments I let myself dream that you never kill Sirius, because it is his story after all his second chance, not Remus’s or harry’s, Sirius Black second chance. I know that you said that you always knew that you would kill him, I know, I read your comments before the story, but I don’t understand why. It’s your story I know, if I wanted I could write my own story and give him the happy ending that we both know that he deserved. Yes he died for love, yes he died doing what he needed and he would regret it and suffer so much if he could not been there, yes if he had to do again he would, to save Harry,Zee and everyone, I know. But it just hurts you know? It hurts as If i was in the story too, it hurts as If he was a real person, he is a fucking character but i just feel like it died a part of me too, no, I’m not being dramatic, but that’s how I feel. I guess that I was so into the world that you were writing that I truly feel that I was part of it. “Yes, it had to be done, yes for the story to continue it has to be done”, you will say, “now it’s war and Sirius won’t protect him anymore”. So what? It’s a fanfiction, your writing is damn good, I love with all my heart, they way that you build up those caracters, Hinny story, it’s wonderful, but I just wanted to read a fanction that would give the happy ending that Sirius and Remus deserved, I bet you gonna kill Remus too, otherwise wouldn’t be fair, why does Remus deserved to live and Sirius didn’t? See I didn’t look for your fanfic, I was just re-reading HP4 and I commented with my friend, then he told that he was reading this amazing fanfic about “what if Sirius had a judgment?” and I only started the story after reading the title “A second chance”, reading the title it gave me hope that you wouldn’t kill Sirius, because how come he have a second chance if he would die? Please change the title, doesn’t fit anymore. “it was remus and Harry’s second chance” you may say, no it’s not, started with Sirius, his second chance, from the middle that you decide to add Remus as main character too, but I can bet that started with Sirius his story and how he dealt with Harry’s destiny, the fact that you brough so many pov into this is amazing but all connect to Sirius, if affects Harry, affect Sirius, affect his story as well, but it’s Sirius story, the story it’s about Sirius, not Remus or Harry. It started being about him, should end being about him too. I know I am being a bitch now, it’s your fucking story, I shouldn’t tell you anything, if I don’t like the story just stop reading right? Yes, that’s true but I can’t because your story really is amazing, your writing really is amazing, I just don’t understand how come it started like a fanfiction then at the end you decide to follow the book as it is, doesn’t make sense, you changed so many things only for the better, why you couldn’t change this too? Please explain. it was his second chance, but you didn’t give to him. Sirius Orion Black deserved better, and aunt Jo killing him was the biggest mistake from the books, and I thought that I truly had found a fanfic that would make justice to the biggest unfairness from the books, a fanfic that I would send to aunt Jo, see Brianie I live in Liverpool UK and I would actually print off and sent your story to aunt jo in Scotland, because it’s so damn good this fanfic, I spoke with other friends , make them read too, told the idea of sending to her and they would do the same, we would send at least 10 copies each, and we would wait for response, because I truly think that this fanfic have the potential to be noticed, so aunt Jo would see how much we love Sirius, I would do it, send to her, by post, it’s cheap for me here, I would do it until we or you receive a response. Your writing is amazing, and you deserve to be noticed by her. But killing Sirius you just confirmed that “she is right”, well aunt Jo is right, but Sirius deserved better, and you give it to him during 218 chapters, but killing him on the 219 it was a mistake. Your story is so good that I read as quick as I could because I wanted to start over and appreciate better, to imagine better these scenes, but I don’t know how now. You may think that I’m a bloody teenanger, well you’re bloody wrong, I’m an adult with almost 22 years old, a teacher that is trying to cope with this pandemic, and when I started reading your fanfic it did something to me that I haven’t done it in a big while, it took me back to the magic world, I was using Sirius’s wand, yes I have it,I was listening to the films songs, I was so damm happy to feel that magic again, reading and feeling that amazing feeling of walking into a place that you used to live, reliving memories, feeling at home. Yes, I read until chapter 230, yes still good, Romione it’s just getting started and i love Ron development, but you killed a star and all the character it’s suffering from the lack of light, you made Sirius do something to everyone, each of the character in this damm story have a connection with Sirius because all character had a connection to Sirius’s story, yes your fanfict still good, amazing, but it’s not a real book, it’s a fanfic, and I always believed that fanfic is the place that we can write anything that didn’t happened in the book and something that we really wanted, even if you don’t believ and after so many years I really wanted to your fanfic to fix the mistakes that Aunt Jo done it.  Your fanfic is almost good as her book, your fanfic is based on her character and her world, but bloody hell woman you done something extraordinary with her world that in my view compared as much. I will not be surprise if in a few years time you write your own book and be really famous for it, you have the hand for something really powerful and I will more than happy buy your books. But you didn’t have to kill him. “just forget it’s a fucking fanfic” you may say, see that’s the beauty of a good author, you write this characters and people fall in love it, learn from them, hold them as if it’s someone real, give them hope, so blooody hell I can’t just forget a fucking fanfic. “I wrote to myself first” you said in one of the chapters, I beg your pardon, but you didn’t, if you truly wrote for yourself you wouldn’t publish. I want to ignore chapter 219 and just go back and read again, but i feel like that I can’t even do that. I don’t wanna tell what to do, but I hope that you at least thought in actually change his destiny. During the chapter I though that Petter and Sirius would have a moment the way that Petter were there and I could see that Sirius didn’t really wanted to kill him all this time, but he just couldn’t forget, I thought that Peter would protect Sirius and maybe die doing so but he would be able to apologize to Sirius and he would truly believe and Peter would finally show why he was choose to be in Gryffindor, it’s been 5 hours since I finish reading your fanfic and I haven’t stoped crying since, it’s a pain that i can’t explain, it hurts so much. When i started cry I send a video to my bestfriend and she started cry too because she “could see my pain”. I don’t wanna tell you what to do, but i will anyway- please , go back and change his destiny, leave him dying and make him suffer a lot, you know how to write a good torture, make BellaBitch take him somewhere, make everyone think that he is dead, take him off for 10 chapters, but please bring him back. Please. I know I don’t have the right to ask you this and I know there is a 98.97% of chances that you will just ignore this but I hoping on that 01.03% of chances that you will read this and reconsider, it’s not late to change, it was only a few chapters back. I bet that you wrote many chapters a head but please reconsider. It’s a fanfic and you can do this. Bring Sirius back to life, let him be happy as much as possible, kill Authur, kill Percy,Kill Snape, Kill DUmbledore, kill Seamus, kill Dean, Kill Zabini, kill Draco, Kill Theo, kill Finn, kill Minerva, Kill Ted, Kill Andromenda, Kill Molly, kill dobby,Kill the grangers, kill one the twins that will born or both, kill all of them at once or one per chapter, destroy Hogwarts, burn to the ground without being able to rebuild, but please let Sirius live with harry,Zee,Remus, thonks,Ginny,Mione,Ron,Neville,Luna. Please. Remus deserved happy ending too, but I always felt that SIrius suffered the most in the book, shitty childhood, lost his bestfriend and then 12 fucking years in Azkaban. Please let them both have a happy ending in your story. “your story”, yeep I’m no one that can tell you anything, but at least I’m trying something. your story it’s the light in the middle of this darkness. please don’t do this. If you do this I will send your story to aunt Jo, I can’t promise you that she will notice, I will make the envelope as attractive as possible so she notice and maybe read and maybe answer us back, but I will try as much as I can to make this happen, i will contact more potterheads even youtubers potterheads, I will share your story as much as I can so people read this and know you as an author. Maybe aunt Jo can notice you. I know for a fact that she do reply letters. Just please let those characters above live.  Please. Give the second chance to Sirius that he so well deserved. Give us the chance to know Sirius as we should have before. with love, and a lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots, lots of tears. A big fan of yours.
Jass M
Thank you for your kind words, Jass M.
I have loved writing this story and I know that everyone is angry with me for killing Sirius off.  It was his second chance and he was given a chance to live the life he should have had.  He shouldn’t have died, of course not, it’s sad and tragic, but I felt that he had to.  I felt that it was important to the story because losing Sirius there is what makes Harry take that next step from boy to man.  I called it a A Second Chance because it is a second chance: For everyone.  Harry was given the childhood he deserved; Sirius was given the life with Harry he deserved; Sirius was given the chance to meet Zee and fall in love; Remus was given the chance to live a life not of poverty and hate, but full of love and friendship; Remus was given a chance to meet Tonks early and spend more time with her... a chance for a better life.  That doesn’t mean that there isn’t sadness, that there isn’t death and loss -- it just means they had a chance to live a better life... and they lived it well.
This story has always been about Harry, Sirius, and Remus, what Harry’s life would have been like had he bee raised by the two men who should have been there for him as opposed to the Dursleys -- those are my 3 main characters: Watching them grow, watching them love, watching them take care of each other, and through them, I branched off into the important ones in their lives: Ginny, Zee, and Tonks.  But it was always the story of Sirius and Remus raising Harry, and now Harry and Remus must cope with moving on without Sirius.  The world must move on without him.  Sometimes those we love die and it hurts.
I cried buckets writing it.  But to me, every time I tried to go back and save him, I ended up writing his death and to me that means I was ready to let him go.  I always knew I planned on killing him.  I tried to push it back, make it to the final battle, but where my muse takes me is where I must let it go especially when I tried to change it and still ended up with the same outcome.  I plan to some extent, but I just write and let the muse guide my creative flow and what comes out sometimes surprises me.  I know many people hate me for that, but what’s done is done.  I can promise some surprises, some memories of Sirius that might surface, and of course, I have a few other ideas that will keep his memory alive.
What’s done is done and I do write ahead, up to chapter 237 is complete with most of 238 and pieces of 239 and 240, so going back to re-do things is definitely out of the question.  I have a creative flow and where it takes me is where I go.
I write this story first for me.  I publish it to share with others, but I write for me.  I don’t take prompts or let other people tell me what I should write, but I write what I want to write and I’m grateful that people take the time to read it, but even if they didn’t, I would still write it and still post it and hope that maybe one day, someone would read my words and appreciate the time and effort that I take in writing them.
Thank you for reading.  Thank you for being so emotionally invested in my story.  Thank you for your words.

Monsterleadmehome 2018 Works Masterpost
Well, this is overdue, but I wrote ~200k words in 2018, so here’s a handy masterpost of my my fics!
Reylo Fics:
Midnight in the Resistance Base - Rated T. My first Reylo one-shot! This was a scene I just couldn’t get out of my head after seeing TLJ. Leia discovers the Force bond between Rey and Ben.
Dawn of the Rebellion - Rated T. taking place immediately after Midnight, this was my first multi-chapter. Basically my wishlist for IX.
Chariot - Rated E. My first attempt at the smutty one-shot! Title is from a song that had little to do with what actually happens in the fic, but I was drunk when I wrote it so it made sense at the time. Modern AU. Ben and Rey meet at Dr. Anakin Skywalker’s memorial.
Training Day - Rated E. Canonverse. One-shot. Ben and Rey are good at sparring, not so much at sex. But all that is about to change...
Code 288 - Rated E. One-shot. Detectives Ben Solo and Rey Johnson have been partners for the last five years. Now he's going to another precinct to take over as Captain. He asks her for help saying goodbye with a romp in the interrogation room.
Careless Whisper - Rated E. One-shot. 80′s AU. Rey doesn't know why she lets her college roommate Rose talk her into going out, but she does. She should be studying, but instead she is at the bitchin' new club everyone is talking about. Then a stranger in a Duran Duran shirt catches her eye and suddenly it's not a wasted evening.
Truth Be Told - Rated M. Multi-chapter. Unfinished (but hoping to start back on this one soon!) Alias AU. Rey is an agent with SD-6, a secret branch of the CIA. But a chance encounter with the mysterious agent Kylo Ren could send everything she knows crashing to the ground. Could she be working for the very enemy she thought she was fighting?
Spicy Dreams - Rated E. One-shot. Probably one of the dirtiest things I’ve written. It’s Breylo tentacle, ya’ll. What happens when Rey eats a burrito then takes a nap.
America’s Asshole - Rated E. One-shot. Ben Solo is a critically acclaimed (but widely despised) movie star. Dubbed "America's Asshole" by the press, he has recently finished a stint in an anger management facility after punching his last agent in the face.Rey Niima is a top talent agent and is outraged to find out she has been assigned to be Ben Solo's newest victim. When they start to work together the sparks will fly (in more ways than one).
let’s be human (while we still remember how) - Rated E. 2 chapters. Complete. Canonverse. Kylo Ren has defected to the Resistance and will only speak to Rey of Jakku, much to General Poe Dameron's chagrin. Can Rey get the information from him that she needs for to turn the tide of the war? And what is she supposed to do with all these feelings that Ben Solo has stirred in her soul?
caelum et infernum - Rated E. 10 chapters. Complete. A/B/O. Supernatural AU. Kylo Ren is a hunter. You name it, he hunts it: demons, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, etc. His alpha designation makes him exceptionally good at it. Scarce in today’s mostly beta society, alphas are treated as outcasts, making his life on the road lonely. That is until he meets Rey Johnson, a prophet who sees visions of the future. She also happens to be a rare omega. Once he saves her life, she must join him on the run as they are caught up in a battle between Heaven, Hell and their inexorable pull to each other.
Whiskey & Superstition - Rated E. 6 chapters. Complete. Reylogan AU. Rey Johnson is a junior agent in the FBI, trying to prove her mettle. So when Special Agent Sarah Grayson sends her on a secret mission to Boone County, West Virginia to scope out the Logan family, she readily accepts. Only the mission may not be all it seems, and Rey certainly didn't expect to fall hard for the bartender with a heart of gold, Clyde.
Walk This Way - Rated E. 3 chapters. Complete. Modern AU. Rey Johnson is the lone female on a crew of construction workers renovating a building in the NYC neighborhood of SoHo. She hates the way her teammates ogle and catcall women. One day, a handsome passerby catches her eye and she develops a staring problem. Her foreman, Poe Dameron, notices and decides to help her out. Ben Solo works for a publishing company in the heart of SoHo. He's made a comfortable, quiet life for himself. Then a pretty construction worker shows up on the stoop by his work and suddenly he's got a new morning routine. The last thing he expected is for her to actually be interested in him.
pools of sorrow, waves of joy - various ratings. 35 chapters. A collection of Reylo song prompts.
Aim True - Rated E. One-shot. Robin Hood AU. The masked bandit Kylo Ren has been robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, much to Sheriff Hux's chagrin. There is a sizable reward out for his capture. However, when another masked thief crosses his path, he is presented with an interesting choice.
Reylo Monster Week (One-shots)
Catacombs - Rated E. Vampires.
Howl - Rated E. Werewolves.
Don’t Fear the Reaper - Rated M. Demons & Angels.
Out of the Ashes - Rated E. Mythological Beings.
The Great Lake - Rated E. Sea Creatures.
Torchlight - Rated M. Naga.
Boys & Ghouls - Rated E. Free Choice (Bigfoot)
Tryptophan and Seratonin - Rated E. 2 chapters. Complete. Ben Solo hates Thanksgiving at his family's house. However, this year, his mother has invited a special guest - Rey Abrams, the girl he's been crushing on at work. When Ben consumes too much turkey, he falls asleep on the couch and has a rather vivid dream about Rey. Will he be able to hold his composure and finally ask her out?
Category 4 - Rated E. 3 chapters. Complete. Ben Solo goes home for his parents' anniversary party. Little does he know they invited the girl he had a major crush on two summers ago. Or that they're about to be stranded together in the midst of a hurricane.
Mind if I Move in Closer? - Rated E. One-shot. It's Christmas Eve and Rey has left her shopping till the last minute. Fortunately, she runs into a fellow last minute shopper and they decide to get a bite to eat at one of the only places still open...
The Echoes They Left Behind - This originally published in the Reylo Charity Anthology so I’m counting it for 2018. Rated E. 7 chapters. WIP. In present day Takodana, upstate New York, Rey Johnson is the caretaker of the abandoned Takodana Sanatorium, a facility that used to be an asylum for the criminally insane as well as a tuberculosis ward during the epidemic. Ben Solo has been sent by First Order publications to do an article on the old asylum before it is torn down. In that same sanatorium, in the 1940s, Kira Kenobi is an idealistic nurse whose world is upended by the arrival of the dark, mysterious patient Kylo Ren. As the past and the present collide, can Rey find out the secrets the spirits of the asylum want her to know before the wrecking ball destroys it all?
The Stairwell - Rated M. One-shot. Ben Solo has worked with Rey Johnson for the past two years. And he's been in love with her the whole time. He just needs to work up the courage to tell her... unless she beats him to it.
All At Once - Rated E. One-shot. Canonverse. The First Order has taken over the planet Neftali in the Soccoro system. Every year, the town of Cordel Cove hosts a winter carnival that culminates in a masquerade ball. The presence of one Supreme Leader has been requested. The Resistance has come to Neftali to strike a deal with a shady organization, using the carnival as a distraction. They send Rey to the masquerade to keep an eye on things. After one too many drinks, the masked man all in black catches her eye and asks for a dance. But what will happen when the masks come off?
Dramione Fics:
Marked - Rated E. One-shot. A/B/O. Hermione Granger's heat wasn't supposed to start for another two weeks. But that was before the intoxicating scent of an unknown alpha triggered it as they passed in the atrium. Can she make it through the rest of the day before starting her leave? And who is the mysterious alpha who smells like her perfect mate?
A Fantastic Assignment. Rated E. Projected 4 chapters. WIP. Fresh off a win from the passing of Dobby's Law, Hermione Granger is given a new assignment for her job in the Department for the Regulation and Care of Magical Creatures: track down a missing selkie that has been kidnapped from the care of Rolf Scamander. When reports of the selkie being taken to New York City show up, the ministry assigns an Auror to accompany her to the US: Draco Malfoy. Can the two of them work together in order to capture the thief and bring the selkie safely back to Britain?
Stay tuned--I’ve got more Reylo and Dramione planned for 2019!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Chapter 27: The Centaur and the Sneak
There is a huge difference between the kind of divination Professor Trelawney teaches and the kind Firenze teaches. As Firenze explains what Trelawney did was nothing more than fortune-telling, whereas centaurs study the stars to foretell big changes. Divination is the most vague subject at Hogwarts. Obviously true seers exist, such as prophecies that can come true. And moving ahead we learn that there are dozen of prophecies in the Department of Mysteries. But they still remain vague. The prophecy about Harry and Voldemort could have been about Neville as well. The centaurs saw that they are in a brief period between two wars, but they can’t tell details. Of course the more vague a prophecy is, the easier it can become true, because it allows more interpretations. It is the most unscientific branch of magic; no wonder Hermione isn’t interested in it.
I wonder why Hermione’s Patronus would have the form of an otter, as we know that the form of one’s Patronus has a special meaning. Interesting enough Harry produced a stag before he knew that this was the Animagus form of his father (it is only when he sees his Patronus that he realizes why his father was nicknamed ‘Prongs’), so this might work on a subconscious level.
Harry gives Dobby an order, forbidding him to hurt himself, but I wonder how that works since Harry is not Dobby’s master. Can he, as a free elf, choose from who he accepts orders besides his master? Is there a special bond between them because Harry freed Dobby? Or is it simply because Dobby respects and admires Harry that he accepts his orders? Dobby also mentions that the house elves were forbidden to warn Harry (or any other member of the DA), that Umbridge would come, but who gave that order? It is very unlikely that it was Dumbledore, but rather Umbridge herself, meaning that not only the headmaster but every teacher at Hogwarts functions as a master to the house elves, giving them the right to give them orders.
“’[…] Well, Potter … I expect you know why you are here?’ Harry fully intended to respond with a defiant ‘yes’: his mouth had opened and the word was half-formed when he caught sight of Dumbledore’s face. Dumbledore was not looking directly at Harry – his eyes were fixed on a point just over his shoulder – but as Harry stared at him, he shook his head a fraction of an inch to each side. Harry changed direction mid-word.” – Seriously how could the Sorting Hat ever consider to put Harry in Slytherin? He is the least cunning person ever. And look, he is brave and kind and all of these things, but imagine all the headaches Dumbledore and McGonagall had over the years because the kid didn’t know when it was best to shut his mouth or to lie. Fudge has no evidence, and yet Harry almost admitted that he had broken the school law.
“As it swung closed behind them, Harry heard Phineas Nigellus’s voice. ‘You know, Minister, I disagree with Dumbledore on many counts … but you cannot deny he’s got style …’” – No, you can’t.

Stargazing [Part 4]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Draco Malfoy x Reader | ☁️ + ☔ + 🌠 + ✨ | 1.9k | Ravenclaw!Reader | Arranged Marriage AU
[ Stargazing Masterlist ]
Tumblr media
FIFTH YEAR
Listening to the murmurs of everyone else’s hushed conversations in the Room of Requirements, you closed your eyes and focused on the wand movements in order to create a Patronus.
“Ready when you are, (Y/N).”
Nodding to acknowledge Harry’s words, you concentrated on the creation of the charm - happy thoughts. As much as it hurt you to think about a certain blonde hair boy, he was also the source of some of your happiest memories.
Without opening your mouth, you let the words quietly whisper in your mind.
“Expecto Patronum.”
The tip of your wand glowed a bright blue light that came out in wisp of smoke. It wasn’t long before your magic glowed brighter and began to shape into a distinctive shape.
Gasps immediately filled the air.
When you opened up your (E/C) eyes, you were met with the familiar form of your Patronus: a dragon.
It flapped its wings powerfully as it swooped around the room leaving everyone in awe.
Like the original Swedish Short-Snout dragon, it shimmered blue and breathed out some blue flames. As if it could sense no trouble, your Patronus gently landed on top of a bookshelf to quietly rest before fading away.
“Impressive,” you heard Neville murmur.
“Thanks for the demonstration, (Y/N),” Harry praised you. Turning back to everyone else, he smiled encouragingly. “Alright, let’s all give it a try! Don’t feel discouraged if you can’t get it the first few tries, the Patronus Charm is one of the most advanced forms of magic.”
Once everyone was dismissed to give the spell a try on their own, you felt someone nudge you.
“I didn’t know your Patronus would be a dragon,” Hermione commented. “Its impressive! I thought most Patronuses would be normal animals.”
You smiled. “Thanks. To be honest, I didn’t expect it to be a dragon either. According to the advanced charms textbooks, most Patronuses do take the form of ordinary animals, but there are rare exceptions of magical creatures and extinct animals being Patronuses.”
The brunette listened you eagerly, absorbing the information.
While Hermione definitely showed the intelligence of a typical Ravenclaw, you noticed her courage and bravery appeared to be her drive towards her desire for know. Perhaps being in Gryffindor was her true calling.
“What was your happiest memory, (Y/N)?” Hermione asked, eyes twinkling. “I get the feeling something special must have happened for you to produce a dragon as your Patronus.”
Hermione’s observant was astounding. Her speculation had you blushing as you recalled your happiest moments.

“Draco, are you sure we should be outside?”
You tiredly rubbed your (E/C) eyes as you felt your best friend pulling you eagerly after him. Grey eyes flickered over to you with un-containable excitement as he tried to hurry you along.
“Don’t worry (Y/N)! I told my mother and she said it would be okay as long as we don’t go too far away,” he replied.
The last thing you expected when you were about to go to bed on your vacation with the Malfoy family was for Draco to drag you out into the grassy meadow. Accepting your delayed sleep, you did your best to keep up with the blonde boy as he kept a firm hold on your hand.
Once the two of you arrived in the middle of the grassy meadow and the house you were staying in was a small glow in the distance, Draco set out a blanket.
“Come on, lie down here with me,” Draco said, patting the blanket.
You sat down next to Draco before leaning back. The moment your head made contact with the ground, your (E/C) eyes widen at the sight above you.
The endless amount of sky stretching over you was sparkling with billions of stars. The sight was so beautiful, you could help but reach out to grasp back onto Draco’s hand.
Seeing your excited face was worth the late night trip, Draco decided, as he gently squeezed your hand. When he had heard about the wonderful night view this place offered, he knew he wanted to experience it with you.
When turned back to the sky, something caught his eye.
“(Y/N), look!”
Your eyes caught sight of the pale blue dragon’s figure as it flew overhead. The moonlight made it sparkle and paired with the stars, this night made everything seem so... magical.
Tumblr media
Blinking out of your thoughts, you could only offer a weak smile to Hermione’s question. “Yeah, it is a special memory, one that I think I’ll never be able to re-experience with our current situation.”
Noticing the change in your behavior, the Gryffindor girl left it at that before practicing the charm on her own.
The rest of the session passed by rather quickly as you moved around the room like Harry to help the other DA members. When Hermione and Harry approached you about the formation of a group to practice defensive magical skills to combat Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters, you were instantly on board. With how useless Umbridge made Defense Against the Dark Arts, how could you not?
Being an advanced student, most of what Harry intended to teach was something you were already aware of, but you agreed to take part as it was good practice and a nice break from your ongoing studies along with research projects with Snape.
When the time came for the session to end, you felt someone grab your elbow.
“What’s up, Harry?” you asked.
The brown haired boy offered you a soft smile. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” you brushed off. “How are you and Cho doing? Happy?”
Harry nodded. “Are you though?”
You froze. “What do you mean?”
Harry adjust his glasses before hopping up to sit on a desk.
“It’s just... I’ve noticed you been a little off since the Umbridge showed up. Does it have to do with the Inquisitorial Squad?”
While Harry was mentioning the Inquisitorial Squad, you knew he meant something else.
Draco.
Ever since meeting you, the Boy Who Lived knew there was a complex relationship between you and the Slytherin Prince. Even though it looked like no relationship ever existed between the two of you.
“Maybe,” you vaguely replied. “I’m just worried.” Turning to leave, you threw one last look at Harry. “Watch out for the Inquisitorial Squad while you can, Harry. They’re willing to dock points anywhere they can.”
With that, you took off to the Astronomy Tower. Sleep was more than welcome to you right now.
Tumblr media
“The Inquisitorial Squad is coming!”
The shrill voice of Dobby made everyone panic. As Harry, Ron and Hermione tried to usher everyone off, they knew there was no escaping Umbridge.
You sighed, knowing the past few months of peaceful training was bound to end.
Hearing how Marietta was the one to betray the group didn’t surprise you. Marietta was always one of those Ravenclaws who reacted out of fear - backstabbing simply wasn’t part of her nature.
“Come on, (Y/N)! Let’s go!”
Hearing the urges of the remaining DA members who still needed to escape, you immediately hopped into action after them.
“There they are! Capture them!”
The sound of your pursuers made the members divide up. Making a different turn than everyone else, you heard the footsteps of the Inquisitorial Squad members split up as well.
Eyes darting around the hallway, you tried to remember the next turn for a staircase. You barely had time to think as the footsteps behind you accelerated.
A hand suddenly grabbed you, spinning you around.
Grey eyes met your (E/C) ones and left you stunned.
Draco seemed just as surprised as you were as he quickly looked around before pushing you back until your back hit a wall. With the curtains providing some cover, he leaned forward with a scowl.
“You were part of Potter’s group too?” he asked. As much as his voice was frightening, you could place another emotion in his tone - fear.
“I am,” you replied. Keeping your eyes cast aside, you hoped that Draco couldn’t tell you were actually hiding your true feelings. “You’re going to bring me back to Umbridge, aren’t you? I’m sure she’ll be proud of you, Malfoy.”
Biting his lip, Draco felt his heart break when you addressed him that way. Of course you wouldn’t make his job easy. He should have known you would be part of any group that rebelled Umbridge. You were growing more independent, he definitely admired that.
But now was not the time.
“Why?”
His simple question made you pause. Why?
“What do you mean?” you quietly asked.
Why do you make it so hard for me to protect you? Draco had to hold his tongue as he leaned in closer to you. “Why can’t you just sit back and stay out of trouble?”
His warm breath tickled your cheek, but you refused to back down as your (E/C) eyes flared up and met his grey eyes directly.
“Why do you keep putting all this distance between us? Did I do something wrong?” you demanded as your eyes teared up. “There’s a war brewing, Draco, and I don’t want to lose you before it even starts!”
The walls that the two of you worked so hard to build up seemed to crumble away instantly as you both realized your proximity. While there was still so much between the two of you left unspoken, neither of you could deny the pull toward the other.
Draco raised his hand to gently trace your cheek before pulling you close for a kiss. Instantly, your eyes fluttered shut as you returned his soft kiss. A single tear managed to escape, trailing down your cheek.  Even though there were so many other problems you both needed to deal with, this stolen moment was too precious, too important to let go.
When Draco pulled away, he brushed a strand of your (H/C) hair back and then wiped away your tears. The way he held onto you made you feel like glass.
Perhaps you would shatter without him.
“You’re perfect, (Y/N),” he whispered. “I’m sorry... for everything. I need you to stay safe, okay?”
“That means stay away from you, doesn’t it?”
Draco slowly nodded. “I’m... so sorry, (Y/N).”
Pressing a kiss to your forehead, he stepped back.
“Get back to your common room. I need to get back to Umbridge.”
You hesitated but nodded when you saw the urgency in his eyes. Just as you took a few steps, you turned back around.
“I love you,” you confessed.
Watching your retreating form, Draco felt his heart race as he thought of the words that couldn’t leave his lips.
I love you too.
Tumblr media
“Thanks for showing me this view, Draco,” you whispered as you two were heading back. “It was so pretty!”
“Anything for you, (Y/N),” Draco replied with a bright smile.
You stopped in your tracks, trying to think of a way to return the kind gesture. The blonde haired boy turned around to look at you curiously.
“(Y/N)?”
With a idea, you bound forward and gently kissed Draco. When you pulled back, both of you were flushed pink.
Your first kiss.
“What was that for...?” Draco asked, dazed.
“To thank you,” you replied softly. “Did you not like it...?”
The boy immediately shook his head.
“No! I liked it. Just like how I like you, (Y/N).”

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling  finished
The Dursleys were so mean and hideous that summer that all Harry Potter wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike
And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny.
But each of these seem minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone -- or something -- starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects . . . Harry Potter himself?

Bad Girls Don’t Die by Katie Alender  finished
Alexis thought she led a typically dysfunctional high school existence. Dysfunctional like her parents' marriage; her doll-crazy twelve-year-old sister, Kasey; and even her own anti-social, anti-cheerleader attitude. When a family fight results in some tearful sisterly bonding, Alexis realizes that her life is creeping from dysfunction into danger. Kasey is acting stranger than ever: her blue eyes go green sometimes; she uses old-fashioned language; and she even loses track of chunks of time, claiming to know nothing about her strange behavior. Their old house is changing, too. Doors open and close by themselves; water boils on the unlit stove; and an unplugged air conditioner turns the house cold enough to see their breath in.
Alexis wants to think that it's all in her head, but soon, what she liked to think of as silly parlor tricks are becoming life-threatening--to her, her family, and to her budding relationship with the class president. Alexis knows she's the only person who can stop Kasey -- but what if that green-eyed girl isn't even Kasey anymore?

Favorite fics you ever written?
Warning this a long post because I've written a lot of fics.
For Harry Potter:
1.) The Definition of Good. Summary:  After Chamber of Secrets Harry gives Dobby a place to stay. Everything changes.
2.)  Keep it simple, keep it safe. That's all you can do when it's too late. Summary: Harry smiled; it didn't reach his mom's eyes. "There's no need to call me sir professor," Harry quipped once again. This Harry knew. This Harry could take and dare he say it? Liked. Or rather, he liked it compared to the alternative despite his hatred towards the greasy haired wizard before him.
(Harry can't help but remember the chocolate cake slices and hours of looking at photos of Mrs.Figg's cats, the warm - to the point he feels as though they may burn him - embraces from Mrs. Weasley, Dumbledore's soft spoken promises and words that might as well be empty, of Sirius' offer of Harry living with him just gone in a blink of eye because he fell into a veil Harry's godfather could not come out of.)
For Percy Jackson:
1.) I scream too loud when I speak my mind. Summary: Percy Jackson does not accidentally vaporize his pre-algebra teacher and everything else that happens afterward. (I've actually loved writing all the parts of the series but I'm only including this one.)
For Death Note:
1.) To be a Queen. Summary: It's that the queens (Misa, only Misa, because Misa the idiot sees what no one else sees. L says he doesn't swing that way but L wants Light, Kira, but Light is Kira therefore the other king. So duh he can't be L's queen no matter what that pevert wants.) in chess are the most powerful pieces despite the kings (Ryuzaki and Light) being the most important. Because without the king (Kira and L) there's no game, if you defeat the other king you win; Kira wins and he will.
2.) Game over. Summary: Instead of replying to baby Kira Matt takes the cigarette out of his mouth and with a smile (it's weird to smile because Matt never really smiles and it's probably a real ugly ass sight to see) throws his last cigarette onto the Death Note.
Game Over, he thinks and just walks off without so much a word. He wonders briefly what's next. With Light it's easy (boring even). He'd follow his dear dad's footsteps and become a police officer. Probably the best and maybe he'll meet L. Those two assholes deserved each other, Matt decided, but what about him?
(Or the universe gives Matt a restart after dying and he sadly uses his last cigarette on the Death Note.)
For Tokyo Ghoul:
1.) There's a ghost in my lungs. Summary: A series of non-linear conversations where Haise learns about his past, how he became who he was, and people that Kaneki loved. (Haise time travels to the beginning of Tokyo Ghoul. I've only posted one chapter so far.)
For Jessica Jones/Alias:
1.) Rest in pieces our youth (so we might glue it back together again). Crossover with Spiderman Homecoming. Summary: Jessica Campbell and Peter Parker are least likely of friends ever since Jessica came back to school.
For Fullmetal Alchemist:
1.) I've got questions. Summary: Edward smiled thinly, something viscous but not ugly (never ugly, not when it came to her) was the look in his feral eyes.
"Rose," gently, Ed thought, like she was Al or Winry when they were doing stupid shit, "that was a list that represented the complete chemical makeup of a human body for the average adult. It had been calculated to the last microgram, but still there has never been one reported case of successfully creating a human life."
Some people put their faith in gods to be able to live their life; some, like him, lived their life to achieve a goal. There had once been a time when Ed use to pray with mom. He had even prayed after mom had died but had stopped a long time ago.
It wasn't the constant frustration of loose ends (till now, Edward thought, Cornello's ring on his mind). No, he had stop praying even before that. It wasn't even the bastard's sharp jabs that were constant; always there as though Edward would ever let himself forget. What an idiot; how'd that man ever become a Colonel? Besides obviously burning children and women to death that corpses he climbed on to get to the top of the military.
2.) (What is) insanity but the ability to draw the perfect circle? Summary: There's a creak in a board behind him and he whirls around, hands ready to clap. It's Scar. Again there is a difference. Well differences technically. That makes his hand hover, pausing him from clapping. Scar, wearing glasses while inside on a rainy day, stares at the sight before him.
He should take a picture. It'll last longer.
"Are you Edward Elric the Fullmetal State Alchemist?"
Maybe it's because someone has actually him if he's Edward that he answers honestly. "No."
Or Edward is okay with suggesting to partner up with Scar to kill his Fuhrer (who might not be a homunculus in this universe) but isn't okay with Nina going in the rain and getting a cold.
For Star Wars:
1.) Love of a daughter. Summary: "and yet, so far at least we have yet to figure out what you gain from this." It's a question as well as statement. A chance to explain, to come clean on why she - a unknown Sith- had assassinated they're precious, beloved Chancellor (what fools). But how could you come clean when there is so much blood on her hands? Never-mind the sins and blood on Vader and Luke's when her family had been alive.
When she answers it's not because she's announcing her transgressions in hope that her heavy, dirty soul might be saved. One couldn't repent when they didn't feel guilt in their sin.
"For the love of a daughter." Leia pauses and looks back at Anakin and thinks: I did this to avenge you. After thinking that Leia says one more thing - the last thing actually because she nothing else to say after this.
"And you should have been more careful electing your Chancellor. You never know who is Sith." This has double meaning but she's the only person who knows it.
And she's fine with that (no, she isn't).
Leia wonders if her younger self and Luke will ever become the monsters like her Luke had been and the monster she is.
2.) When dreams come true (which they often do when Anakin Skywalker dreams them). Summary:It happens in the day, in the light. A dark masked man with heavy breath that was killing the slave owners and freeing the slaves. No one - not even the Hutts, who were now dead- could stop the droid looking man.
That doesn’t surprise Anakin though. Anakin had seen the stranger’s blade that coated the sands with different colors of blood. A red lightsaber. The man was a Jedi and he had come to free them.
(Or young Anakin's dream comes true just not in the way he dreamt it.)
3.) Nobody does it like Artoo. Summary: Because the droid had just killed Chancellor Palpatine. The man who was the closest thing Anakin had to father.
“Artoo please tell why you just killed Chancellor Palpatine?” He asks, in soft calm voice. He needs to keep a level head. Needs to be the Jedi many claim he cannot be. Deep breathe in. Deep breathe out. He could be calm when all he wanted to do was try to find the person who responsible for rewiring Artoo and show him/or her why it was a bad idea to touch his droid and make his droid kill a person he loved.
Artoo beeps his answer and Ana-
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN PAlPATINE IS DARTH SIDIOUS AND THAT YOU’RE FROM THE FUTURE!?”
4.) Of time travel and relationship blocking. Summary: But he knows the universe is better off by Artoo's travel in time. Palpatine is dead. Artoo had killed the Sith Master that had destroyed too much of his humans’ lives. There was no Empire and Darth Vader did not exist. The twins were raised by their creators. All was good except Leia was coming to age of no longer a child yet not an adult.
Which meant other human boys were becoming attracted to future Senator. Human boys who were not Han Solo. It was becoming rather frustrating - to the point Artoo felt like rolling into a wall- but at least Anakin agreed that these human boys did not belong with his creation. (Sequel to the fic above. Never did write more chapters for this fic but I do adore it.)
For Star Trek:
1.) I appreciate your enthusiasm, but Kodos will not be in this production. Summary: This was not how Jim imagined telling Bones about Tarsus IV. Actually that was a lie. Jim had planned to never tell Bones about Tarsus IV. But so is the life of Jim Kirk (also known as James T. Kirk, JT, Captain, and t'hy'la to Spock and Ambassador Spock who both had yet to tell him what that word meant. A childish part of Jim thinks that Hoshi would tell him if she was still alive before his mood darkens. The memories - the guilt - of that day flashes before his eyes and God does Jim hate drugs.).
2.)  Logically speaking. Summary: "Say mother had been," there had been a pause as Spock tried to find the right words to convey his question, "say mother went through unnecessary strife during her adolescent years and somehow you ended up in the past. Do you allow for her to face this to persevere an already faulted timeline or do you save her?"
By then, Amanda had made her way to her husband side so she could look into Spock's eyes. The question was odd and admittedly out there but her son's eyes said otherwise. Spock's eyes could be compared to an open book and that book told Amanda that this somehow was serious and her son was torn.
(Or the backstory on how Spock sort-of got permission from his father to steal a ship from the Vulcan Science Academy through Amanda Grayson's eyes.)
3.) I prefer to have my nightmares with open eyes. Crossover with Black Butler. Summary: Jimmy, JT, James Tiberius Kirk (whoever the hell he truly is) knows what it's like to adapt just to stay alive, to be whoever he needed to be just to survive. Just to eat.
It makes him laugh and JT doesn't know this but he reminds the demon (Sebastian he once was called and will take the name, the mask, of once again) of another young boy who the world had destroyed. Who had laugh a bitter laugh because that was all he could do. Crying, after all, did nothing. (Maybe one day I will write that Shinigami!Jim fic. If I ever do I will gift it to ShortyKatezey.)
4.) I need you, I need you, I need you right now. Don't leave me alone. Summary: It doesn’t matter in the end that this universe’s blue eyed James T. Kirk isn’t Spock Prime’s Jim. He still feels Jim-so familiar to his Captain, his Admiral, his Jim, his thyla yet so differnet, so angry, so broken - death.
It should have been me (it had been him in his universe) is Spock’s first thought after he momentarily gets over the wave, the crash of emotions he feels. His next thought is: I am not fine. (This is Spock Prime reacting to Jim's death in Into Darkness.)
5.) Of bored school boys and a death god. Crossover with Death Note. Summary: Ryuk drops the Death Note and a bored but brilliant beyond his years teenage boy picks it up. Sound familiar? Except it's not. JT is many things but a God complex isn't one of them.
For The Vampire Diaries:
1.) When did you dance with death? Summary: When did they all die? When did this become their lives? Was Damon to blame? Stefan to be blamed? Was Katherine to blame? Or Klaus to blame? Were Klaus' parents to blame for trying to keep their kids alive and eventually making them into monsters? Whose to blame for the fact they're all murders instead of simply, normal teenager?
And you know what? They're going to be dead for sure instead of just their morality and innocence having kicked the bucket. There's no vampire blood in their system that could cure them from what Klaus will inflict; Katherine ran from Klaus for hundreads of years and her family was slaughtered just because she wanted to live. They had killed Kol - Klaus' own brother - and trapped him with the burnt corpse.
2.) Revenge is best served with condoms. Summary: "I know who you are. You're the tasty little thing my older brother has come to truly fancy." Tasty little thing. Caroline froze; those words replaying in her head except in British accent (the only accent she truly had thing for).
For Yuri on Ice:
1.) The downside of love. Summary: Soulmates that share the bruises on their other's skin can have a downside if you haven't met them yet. Katsuki Yuuri learns this the hard way.

Mis-Care of Magical Creatures
When I was younger and had to take world history classes in school, I was always shocked by the way that those who had been oppressed were always so quick to oppress others when the power had been shifted. Who would better understand the horrors of oppression than those who had been silenced themselves? I was able to notice these themes in Harry Potter as well. The wizards, who had been persecuted for ages, were happy (and quick) to treat non-human creatures as lesser beings. In this blog post, I will examine multiple magical creatures and how they are mistreated by humans. (Disclaimer: Winky is my favorite HP character, so I am heavily invested in this topic).
Goblins: One of the most common magical creatures to be seen in this series are Goblins. They are in charge of the money and banks, have the ability to do magic without a wand, and can create beautiful objects. However, despite this, they are still treated as lesser than wizards and are treated as subservient servants, who have no choice in their profession. There is a great similarity between how goblins are treated and how the Jews are treated in Merchant of Venice. Both are considered greedy, and only good for handling money.
House Elves: In her books, Rowling makes it pretty clear that the house elves that are in indentured servitude to wizarding families are the equivalent of slaves. Beyond being forced to work for their entire lives, they are also required to keep family secrets and punish themselves (often with self-harm) when they make mistakes. Rowling also projects the ignorance that people felt towards slaves onto those of the wizarding world. Ron truly believed that house elves enjoy being forced to work. This is unfortunately partly true, however, as can be seen when the house elves like Winky mourn the loss of their jobs and refuse to be paid even in the slightest. In later books, Hermione even has to try to trick the elves into picking up her hats so they can gain freedom. It’s no wonder Kreacher turned out the way he did. In fact, Dobby is the only elf in the entire series who enjoys his freedom. Harry and Hermione seem to be the only ones who do not overlook house elves, which ends up working in their favor due to the extraordinary magic that house elves can produce.
Centaurs: We are introduced to Centaurs in the first book and are immediately shown how they are viewed by wizards. Their magic is quite extraordinary as well, but once again they are written off because they are not human. They are able to read the stars and predict the coming events. It is ironic in the series, because if wizards had listened to these predictions, they would have been more aware of the coming wars. As a result of their mistreatment, the centaurs live in seclusion and are shunned for any interactions with humans.
Werewolves: In the third book, we see just how negatively werewolves are viewed. Despite having the ability to do magic, and being human 97% of the time, they are shunned. While this may have be somewhat understandable in the past, a potion is now available to keep werewolves entirely harmless during the full moon. However, wizards still have the same perceptions of werewolves and shun them. Parents will allow their  children to be taught by half-goblins, ghosts, centaurs, and former death eaters, but god forbid a werewolf wants to be thrown into the mix.
Instead of allowing all magical beats to live in harmony and work with one another, the biases of the wizarding community keep them all from reaching their full potentials. Rowling may be using a fantasy medium, but she is able to convey many real-world problems. The parallels between these stories and the current world we live in are what makes the books so relatable and popular. Thank goodness for Hermione or these creatures may never have received (somewhat) equal rights.

In 2009, legendary film star Debbie Reynolds returned to New York for her first professional appearance in over 25 years — performing her celebrated nightclub act that June at the Café Carlyle.
She did her famous impressions [including a killer Streisand and Zsa Zsa Gabor], paid tribute to her idol Judy Garland, and told stories from her celebrated career and her personal life: the morning she woke up, America’s Sweetheart, to find herself in the middle of a love triangle, as she found out husband, Eddie Fisher, left her for her best friend, Elizabeth Taylor [whose late husband Mike Todd was his best friend]; and the husbands who took her to the cleaners, such as #2 Harry Karl, “a shoe salesman.”
She also told audiences, “Those of a certain age may remember me; the others know me as Princess Leia’s mother!”
That princess of Star Wars fame was, of course, Carrie Fisher.
Last week, we witnessed the unthinkable: Carrier Fisher having a massive heart attack on the return leg of a flight to Los Angeles and passing away on Tuesday, December 27. And Miss Reynolds, 84, who had been in “frail health” for several months, suffering a stroke and death the next day after sending out a message thanking her daughter’s fans for their outpouring of love.
The indefatigable Miss Reynolds appeared or did voice work in over 50 features, guested in numerous TV series/movies, and had her own TV series. But there were lows along with the highs. In an attempt to pay debts left by her second husband, she ended up broke and declared bankruptcy. She even confessed to living in her car.
For years, her relationship with Carrie was rocky. Carrie wrote of that in her autobiographical Postcards from the Edge, adapted for the screen starring Shirley MacLaine and Meryl Streep. In TV appearances both were blunt about their dust ups, and how they finally resolved them. It helped when Carrie purchased the house next door to her Mom. Part of the problem was that both traveled for work extensively.
Though home was North Hollywood, Miss Reynolds said, “I’m hardly ever in one place very long. [She tallied an average of 42 weeks a year on the road.] But touring helps keep me in shape. Some of my good fortune comes from family genes. We were very athletic. My brother was a pro ball player. I was always on athletic fields and very fit. My goal was to be a physical education teacher and train for the Olympics. I never wanted to be in movies. There were no Hollywood dreams.”
Her career was an accident.
“At 16, I entered the Miss Burbank pageant. I was far from the most glamorous girl, but I won! It was one of those things that blows you out of the water and on a new path. It changed everything.”
After minor roles, she was signed at MGM in 1950, where she appeared opposite Fred Astaire and Red Skelton in Three Little Words, loosely based on the life of songwriters Harry Ruby and Bert Kalmar. Two years later came the good fortune that changed her life and led to a legendary career in film: she was cast as the ingénue Kathy Selden in Singin’ in the Rain, opposite Kelly and O’Connor [a life-long friend and “a prince among men”].
“Gene was brilliant,” stated Miss Reynolds, “but a taskmaster. I’d say he invented the word. I worked hard to look good next to him. Gene was as demanding as Fred, but in a different way. Fred exuded class and made you feel special.”
She declined to discuss Kelly. She was elated to star again with Astaire in film adaptation of Cornelia Otis Skinner/Samuel Taylor’s The Pleasure of His Company (1961).
Working in the studio system was definitely an education.
“You were under contract, told what film you’d do, and how you’d do it. The director was king. I had a lot to learn, which I did. I was fortunate to be under the tutelage of very talented people. When I wasn’t working, I’d come to the studio for dance classes and hang around to learn how to do make-up, hair, wigs, and watch movies.”
Long a “movieoholic,” she began collecting memorabilia at a time when no one thought it had value and was being literally thrown out. She amassed a magnificent and massive collection of costumes and posters. She laughed that to give value to the posters, “I’d drive to stars’ homes to get them autographed!”
In the 90s, assisted by son Todd Fisher, she turned her collection into a Las Vegas movie museum at her very own hotel/casino. The venue shuttered in 1997 and when she couldn’t find funding for a permanent home, she put the entire collection up for auction.
Film highlights include: “I Love Melvin [again with O’Connor],” “The Affairs of Dobbie Gillis,” “Tammy and the Bachelor,” “The Singing Nun,” “The Catered Affair [as Bette Davis’ daughter],” “The Rat Race,” and “How the West Was Won.” Her duet of “Aba Daba Honeymoon” with long-cherished friend Carleton Carpenter from 1950’s “Two Weeks with Love,” became the first movie tune to become a # 1 chart-topper. It earned Gold Record status.
Miss Reynolds’ favorite film — the one that earned her an Oscar nomination — was the 1964 musical, The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She later did a touring stage version of the show for two years.
“I was in my 60s, and it was then or never,” she said. [A version was workshopped for Broadway but never materialized.]
She also toured in Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun.
She first took the Big Apple by storm in 1973 when she starred in the musical Irene, receiving a Tony nod as Best Actress. She was thrilled Carrie made her Broadway debut in the ensemble at age 17.
“It was a wonderful experience,” she recalled. “I loved my cast, my crew. We became like family. Everyone called me mother! Especially Carrie!”
She returned in ‘76 in Debbie, a 14-performance revue; and in the early 80s in Woman of the Year.
“I love working live and was offered three great opportunities, but the producers insisted on eight shows a week, so I had to say no.”
For years, she was in and out of the City: in 1980 when Carrie co-starred opposite Stephen Collins, Alma Cuervo (currently Gloria Estefan’s grandmother Consuelo in On Your Feet!), and Chris Sarandon in the long-forgotten, short-lived Andy Roberts and Howard Schuman musical Censored Scenes from King Kong; and when Carrie replaced Amanda Plummer in Agnes of God, opposite Elizabeth Ashley, at the Music Box. She was married to and often estranged from Paul Simon and having substance abuse problems. She missed numerous performances. Miss Reynolds would arrive at the theatre and ask, “Is she in?” If told no, she’d go to dinner.
Miss Reynolds was also known for guest-starring roles in 80s TV series Aloha Paradise and The Love Boat; as Debra Messing’s mother on Will and Grace, which earned her an Emmy nod; and her all but unrecognizable, hoot of a performance as Liberace’s mother in Steven Soderbergh’s Behind the Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas and a game Matt Damon. Son Todd co-produced the new documentary, Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.
Regarding her marriage to crooner, Eddie Fisher and their headline-making divorce following his affair with Elizabeth Taylor, Miss Reynolds, after a moment of long introspection, said, “There were regrets, more than a few, but look what I received: my gorgeous children.”
Was it difficult to forgive Miss Taylor after your years of friendship? “No, but it took a while. I had to come to the realization that like me, and later Connie Stevens, she was as big a fool as I was. Liz probably did me a favor.”
In her 1988 autobiography, Debbie: My Life, she described a marriage unhappy from the beginning. “[Eddie] didn’t think I was funny. I wasn’t good in bed. I didn’t make good gefilte fish or good chopped liver.” She had one positive: “a little turned-up nose” and Fisher told her: “The children better have your nose.”
The Reynolds/Taylor relationship as well as their star movie status made for some campy and fiery exchanges in the semi-autobiographical 2001 TV movie These Old Broads, which co-starred MacLaine and Joan Collins.
Through good and bad, Reynolds had always been the ultimate trouper. “Life is hard, and laughter helps get you through it,” she said. “Thank God, so far, I’m unsinkable. When the times get tough, you just have to get tougher.”
Debbie Reynolds was once quoted, “My greatest fear is outliving my daughter.” That fear came true. As recent events unfolded, times really got tough when Miss Reynolds woke up to the unexpected, a mother’s worse nightmare: the sudden death of a daughter.
