just to expand on the benny/harriet vibes bc theyre in my brain and well whats the point of being here if not to inflict my blorbo thoughts on my followers the core of their dynamic is that benny is the ideas guy while harriet is the woman that gets shit done. while he wasnt lucky enough to pull the plan off, benny was still the brains behind the idea of hijacking a securitron to infiltrate mr house's system and lead new vegas to true independence. and i think its important to note that he cares enough about new vegas's independence from the ncr, legion and mr house to pass this plan onto the courier. its clearly bigger than benny placing himself at the top and replacing house

we even hear from tommy torini that while benny doesnt have an ear for music he is good at business. so while benny doesnt always make the best decisions (i.e sleeping with the courier he shot) and there seems to be a lot of fluctuation when it comes to his characterisation (i feel like all roads benny and game benny are two different people??) i dont think he's stupid and his plan could have worked not to paint benny in an entirely ideal light mind you, since this is fallout and benny being benny i imagine he had at least a few less than altruistic motivations behind his plans lol meanwhile for harriet she didn't spend the first part of the game giving too much of a shit about what happens to the mojave. she's ncr herself but her opinion only really went so far as "i wouldn't stick around if the legion took control". harriet starts by helping the ncr out around the mojave because thats her home state and even though she left, she still feels some loyalty. not a lot, but some. but as she gets pulled into the middle of all these escalating tensions by mr house and learns of benny's plan through yes-man she spies an opportunity to play these big players (colonel moore, mr house, caesar) at their own game. they all seem perfectly comfortable using her to their own ends, so harriet decides to do the same in kind. secretly. she helps the people of the mojave out, especially in freeside. harriet comes to care about the independence of the mojave and its people in her own way but ultimately she is moved by the idea of putting herself where mr house is. she wants to be at the top. she figures after spending the last few years roughing it shes owed some luxury and some glamour. after all, she is currently doing all the hard work. (is harriet dazzled by the bright lights and fast living of new vegas? yeah) i dont know what im saying here. i think ultimately harriet's pragmatism compliments benny's idealism and in return his idealism benefits from her more pragmatic approach. new vegas will benefit so long as harriet & benny themselves benefit but i think their individual desires for power, success, safety and comfort often clash i like the idea of them coming together to take charge of new vegas as an imperfect ending because while they are looking forward and not succumbing to old world blues like the ncr or legion, benny and harriet are two big personalities with egos to match and i think some decisions they make are more to their individual benefit rather than that of vegas and the mojave. not that i think vegas becomes a hedonistic pit of manhattans and gambling and dean domino friday night performances. thats definitely there but i think areas like freeside see an improvement that they wouldnt have seen under mr house. the management of the strip becomes a collaborative effort between the chairmen, omertas and white gloves instead of the autocracy mr house had in place.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

dude that first issue was wordy but the kids were ON POINT. they were so fun!! their dialogue is fun and they kick ass.

i loved yi announcing the punishment for casey while the others were like NOO SHE DIDNT MEAN THAT DONT LISTEN TO HER. we're getting more of their personalities and it's great!! it was a nice throwback to issue 2 of lost years when they were cleaning - yi refused to help because of how strictly she was following instructions. im picking up that she might be neurodivergent but i did get that from the lost years too - only doing things within strict instructions, getting frustrated at teaching odyn chess, not because of him playing horseys with the knights but that it was Against The Rules Of Chess - and now not picking up on some social cues. It's nice to see!! I love her very much, but it feels like besides rehashing the origin story she took a bit of a backseat to the other three.

i want to know more about why uno said being a rebel was moja's 'thing', since she didn't seem to be any more rebellious than the other three in this issue. we didn't get any unique interactions between her and casey marie which is what i felt was lacking from lost years but i wonder if this is hinting towards a more turbulent mother-daughter dynamic with them... I REALLY HOPE SO!! her and uno butting heads in a leo-raph way is very fun - i don't mind one or two prior group dynamics leaking into the new turtle siblings because they're all so different from the original 4.

uno seems to be taking on slightly more of a leader role than moja so i think he won the title of fearless leader. which is fine, i think it'll be fun to see and he's definitely less of an asshole now than when he was growing up in lost years. still picking on odyn a bit but seems to snipe at moja just as much. even when he was commenting on yi's storytelling he didn't make fun of her, though - i think she may have inherited the 2k3 don ability of being Completely Unbullyable.

i was really pleased that odyn felt more involved!! i feel like he took the backseat a few times in lost years - it was fun seeing more of his personality shine through! he and yi seem to get on the best, and i giggled at them rolling their eyes at moja and uno's raph-leo schtick. i didn't expect him to TURN TO FUCKING STONE THOUGH, so i'm nervous about that. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHO DID THIS TO MY BOY? IS HE GOING TO TURN BACK NEXT CHAPTER OR IS HE OUT OF COMMISSION UNTIL THE END OF THE RUN??? (if it's the latter i'll be a bit annoyed - don't take odyn away from the equation please!!)

I do wonder if by introducing casually that they can PSYCHICALLY CONNECT, the turtles will use that as a technique to reach odyn's mind to make sure he's still in there and piece together what's happened to him. i mean, their casual telepathy has gotta be some sort of chekhov's gun right?

i have zero fucking clue what's going on with odyn. im wondering if it's somehow related to nano, or to whatever project April is working on - she says it's to do with clearing the tunnels, but I''m not convinced. who knows, there might be some ulterior motive happening.

hi this may be long so sorry in advance but

i always loved hp and when i got into the marauders i started caring about sirius, remus, and james more (peter hater till i die unfortunately i can’t get behind him) and like every marauders stan i despised despised severus, i thought that since he was in a known death eaters friend group and called muggle borns mudblood he was unredeemable. but then i saw more and more pro snape content and it made me feel bad for him, james bullied him (which i’m still not even sure if it was classified as bullying because james didnt have any power over him and it wasn’t even 1 vs 4 it was 1 vs 2 so i’d like to know your opinion on that as well) and he had an abusive parent, but then i saw snily shippers (i am a major jily shipper fyi) saying how james basically manipulated lily into marrying him by not telling her he still bullied snape, how the prank was the best thing to happen to james because their “fights” wouldn’t be seen as bullying but as a teen rivalry, how james was the rich boy who got everything he wanted and he got the poor girl as well, how it was him constantly asking lily out and her always saying no etcc, so ik this may sound stupid but i love ur takes like ur always sooooo fucking real so if u want to share your opinions on these like if u think any of these things are wrong 🙈 id be glad bc i dont know how to feel about severus and idk how to feel about jily either which is just making my small world inside of my head crumble bc i used to love them so much

Of course and thank you! First of all as I've been saying I don't think it's necessary or even really a good idea for us to base our preferences or interests in fiction with our moral beliefs. so we can accept that snape or james did bad things and still like them. Fiction gives us that freedom to delve into aspects of humanity that in real life we might try to avoid. So I don't think you should feel bad for liking james or severus or jily or whatever. Ok, that being said let's get into it:

First it's normal to feel sympathy for Severus, he's a sympathetic character in many respects! That's what makes a good anti-hero (or even villain. we're even supposed to feel sympathy for voldemort and barty crouch jr at certain points)

what james and the marauders did was definitely bullying. there's no way around that. you say james didn't have any power over him but he did; social power. You touched on economic class, which is a big factor, but James was a popular student and Sev was deeply unpopular. whether it was 1v4 or 1v2 or 1v1 doesn't really matter in terms of whether it was bullying, though tbh it was really 1vthe whole school because the spectators also participated in Sev's humiliation.

However, in my mind there's almost no way that Snape wasn't instigating just as much, possibly more, in seventh year. Like you think he was just going to sit around and accept that his worst enemy was dating Lily? lol. I tend to believe Sirius when he says that Sev "never lost an opportunity to curse James" like good for him get his ass. But I think it was definitely a different dynamic in 7th year than in 5th. there's this tendency to portray Sev as being a meek little helpless victim his whole life but personally I feel that's a disservice to his character-- this is the guy who invented sectumsempra 'for enemies' like three guesses who 'enemies' was.

re: jily, I really doubt that James manipulated Lily into anything, I think that's such an overdramatic reading lol. We don't know much about the way they got together-- although many fic writers have taken it upon themselves to fill in the gaps-- but everything points to them having been happy and in love, that clearly was the intention by the author. If James didn't tell her about duelling Snape that isn't great, but there are a lot of things that can be imperfect in a relationship without jumping to manipulation and abuse which require a specific pattern of behaviour that we have no evidence for. We also only have the external perspective of Sirius and Remus, which is likely incomplete.

(also James 'always asking Lily out' is fanon, we see him ask her out ONCE albeit spectacularly badly. it seems more likely to me that lily 'you make me SICK' evans simply saw james grow into someone she rly liked rather than gave in and gave in so fully that she married him bcause he was pressuring her. idk she didn't read like a pushover to me.)

So no need for world crumblage! It doesn't sound stupid at all, but I think it's important to keep in mind that we can enjoy fictional characters/relationships that aren't perfect, in fact those are the ones that I find more enjoyable. It's totally possible to be a fan of snape and james and jily and snily all at the same time, fandom tends to create conflicts or 'shipping wars' or whatever lol but idk if that's necessary. I don't see it as a moral debate or an either/or, I just find all the characters and the dynamics between them interesting.

For instance, you mentioned the class differences between Lily and James, and I always thought that was probably a point of contention in the relationship; but to me it's one that makes it more compelling to explore. Relationships irl are rarely perfect and evenly-matched from the start, they take work. Similarly people are never perfect- they learn and change and grow. James did, Snape definitely did. otherwise they would be boring and unrealistic as characters.

rambling more abt nightcord and their theme because i just NEED to get it out if my system

i think nightcord is such beautifully constructed with its theme of healing because every character has someone specific helping them out most within the unit

idk how to explain it in general terms but basically

kanade struggles with overworking and not taking proper care of herself, her main help with this comes from mizuki! sure, others help out too but mizuki is the one who points out those self destructive behaviours the most [or at least from ehat i remeber] and this dynamic is so so beautifully shown specifically in carnation recollection

mizuki is the one telling kanade to take a break, but kanade is set on making another song for mafuyu despite being absolutely stuck. i think mizuki is the most clever out of the 4 specifically because of this event, since they knew kanade wont give up on it ever and decided to use a different approach to give her the deserved break and would also help her out in this situation. kanade would never have some time off if it wasnt for mizuki. thats how mizuki cares for her, by "tricking" her into taking one while also getting to spend nice time together and end up reminiscing.

this is such an important story because thanks to mizuki, a part of kanade got to heal.

mafuyu very obviously is mostly helped by kanade, who tries her very best and gives it literally her all to help mafuyu find herself, but she always gives mafuyu space when she needs it as well. i think since this one is most obvious i dont have to dwell on it too much but the love and care kanade has for mafuyu makes me soooo fucking insane like omg. kanade is the whole reason mafuyu even tries. shes the sole reason why mafuyu could get where she is now and didnt give up.

ena is a bit tricky, but surprisingly i think her helper is... mafuyu. i have honestly no clue how to explain what i mean at all, but seeing someone with so much talent and the "perfect" life be completely empty was so important to enas character. mafuyu makes painfully slow progress on her situation yet ena notices it, and she might not fully realize it but its helping ena take things easier with her art as well, which i think is shown very well in hope will someday go beyond the morning. mafuyu makes just a slightly different expression but ena still notices it, paralleled by enas art teacher noticing enas intent and emotion behind her art project. despite so many mistakes in the work on a technical level, it had soul. not to mention mafuyu indirectly helps ena be more understanding of others, which is very obvious when you compare how she was with mafuyu at first vs their current dynamic. mafuyu doesnt even know it but she inspires ena so so much not only in her art but to be better as a person.

and for mizuki, its also very obvious with main help coming from ena. pretty much every mizuki focus [<- exaggeration warning] will have ena trying her best to help mizuki out, and thanks to enas growth she can understand mizuki better and better and know how to deal with their issue. she thinks she needs to know the secret to know mizuki, but she learns that its not actually important, and she wants to show mizuki that as well. she constantly shows mizuki support and care weather they are willing to tell their secret or not, and in her own way wants to reassure mizuki that no matter what she wants to be there for them. ena helps mizuki so much that they even finally consider telling ena their secret, after like a year in canon if not longer!! which is such a huge deal because mizuki was convinced that telling ena someday they will tell what it is was completely a lie. they never had any intention to actually say what it is. but they grew so much and feel so safe around ena that the fact they even CONSIDERED IT implies so much healing, growth and trust. it makes me SOB. i am INSANE about mizuena. ena loves them SO MUCH its just so JSHSHDHYSHEIRUDHXHJSNB

oooh i forgot to talk about hazbin hotel after i finished it.

loved it. satisfied the musical deep inside of me. the characters are so charming and its a really fun show expressing incredibly horrible stuff. if u think abt it even just a little past face value its really deep and sends u down into a rabbithole about what the characters are, what it really means to be a sinner, and how loopable the songs are.

my only complaint is that its so short. its 9 episodes including the pilot where every key moment is perfectly encapsulated in those episodes yes, but because they chose to develop the characters per episode (which was absolutely the right choice btw) the whole "friendship" theme suffered. let me explain; the characters are well developed enough and interact enough for you to get what their overall dynamic is, but theres no episode that really focuses on them getting closer with each other. the show was so busy, im not sure where they could have put it; basically im saying the show wouls have fared well with a little filler. in 8 episodes they breezed by 6 months... those interactions would have made the finale soo much better. i was not *convinced* of the found family trope thing (bc thats what it is you cant tell me otherwise), but its a good idea to let the audience fill those gaps themselves.

i have mixed feelings whether to support vivzie because i heard her treatment of animators was horrible-- thats the worst part about this whole series honestly. idk if vivzie is a good person or not... but hazbin hotel is definitely amazing.

EDIT HERE: i watched a video saying the accusations against vivzie are false so, thats out of the way, i guess. dont worry too much about it, im not gonna do more research but if any of you do pls lmk!

my favorite song is poison, apart from the fact that its the closest to my usual genre, i love the mv. the choreography is so fluid and unsettling. the little details, you can tell angel is putting on a mask and the voice acting? chefs kiss. love it. the mv is so r18 but i cant help rewatching it its just so good the choerography videography the subtle meanings RAH. i also love the instrument solos in hells greatest dad, it really surprised me when lucifer pulled a violin out of nowhere lmao but god do i hate that minty girl, ruined such a good song. stayed gone is also so strong and its funny to see vox put in his place lmao. im addicted to alastors radio filter, such character. i reluctantly love adam and lute's song parts because their voices are so good and i love rock music but fuck i hate the characters.

charlie is just so lovable and would be generic in literally any other setting but because of the nature of the show she sticks out and that forces readers to pay attention to her and if you didnt already love her you WILL.

Redtail’s debt (mostly) rewrite concept ideas.

Okay so I skimmed over Redtail’s debt the other day, and GOD I was just never a fan of the writing in that book. Redtail’s character is super generic and like they just chose a random “protagonist” personality for him, the pacing is strange and fucks up the timeline a LOT considering Darkstripe nor Longtail are even IMPLIED to be conceived, and that doesn't even mention the terrible straight-up MISTAKES of Ravenpaw’s behavior and Oakheart’s death. 

Honestly my biggest gripe is his and Tigerclaws dynamic though. Tigerclaw in the first series is implied to be someone that EVERYONE trusts, someone who is noble and that people believe in as a good cat to trust their clan into (considering he became deputy, and clearly had enough of a reputation to become shadowclan’s leader). I don’t like how obviously evil he behaves, and how he seems to have a track-record of being violent and unnecessarily cruel (Acoording to a windclan cat in the book) . And I especially dont like how Redtail is characterized as naïve and is so obviously taken advantage of, and how Redtail grows to become hateful and distrustful of Tigerclaw despite the whole situation of that intending to be super unexpected and shocking. IDK I just think it’d have more depth if there was no “mistrust” involved, because we know how it turns out already, it just becomes boring if the characters themselves predict it.

Though warning i briefly mention spottedleaf’s heart around the beginning. However the contents of that book are never mentioned and only really referenced in regards to timeline issues I have.

Though do tell me your opinions! Let me know anything that is weird about my idea or anything that is GOOD about my idea! I’m not an experienced writer at all so I’d appreciate critique! (I do love to just discuss about it)

First off, while I’m not opposed to Willow/Red/Spotted all being siblings, I don’t like him being younger than tigerclaw like that. It’s not THAT big a deal but he’s implied to be super respectable, and it just makes not that much sense that Bluestar would pick a younger warrior over an older warrior. and more POINTEDLY I don’t like Spottedleaf being in that same litter bec that would imply she was super old by TPB T_T.... I’d probably just remove Spottedleaf from Redtail’s debt or just make it so she’s a kit during later in the book, rather than being of same age (they can still have the same parents, maybe it can be noted that Adderfang and Swiftbreeze are old and spottedleaf’s litter is gonna be their last litter (Which I know would mess with the timeline a bit since they retire, but its not that big a change I dont think? Or at least something that cant be fixed with other changes...) Spottedpaw doesnt do much in Redtail’s debt so it’s not so much a problem in here rather than in Spottedleaf’s heart. I could put him in Leopard/Patch’s litter but I’d rather not since I dont like him being older than Bluestar either/or that much older than Tigerclaw.

I do prefer Tigerclaw being younger than Redtail though, Ik it doesnt make much sense in line with bluestars prophecy but whatever we can just pretend like thats changed (as in redtail’s litter randomly being born at some point during then before Tigerstar’s, Tigerclaw’s birth would stay the same in the same time) --- It’d also work with some Willowpelt context I have in mind but I’ll get to that later

I’d basically swap the dynamic, Redtail being an older apprentice-near warrior age at the beginning of the book, and Tigerpaw being a newer, younger apprentice. I’d give him “YS brokenpaw” syndrome (i didnt care for that being brokenpaw’s personality anyways like its not terrible but whatever) and he’s SUPER eager to train and battle and be overly enthusiastic and eager to prove himself to his bitchy mentor thistleclaw and because of that he speaks out and misbehaves a lot.

My main idea is rather than the painfully obvious storytelling in Redtail’s debt where Redtail is naive and Tigerclaw saves him and then Tigerclaw makes him do evil things (which, I do not like that TIGERCLAW is specifically bad. It fucks up the first arc where it was “unexpected” and everyone looked up to him and wanted him to be deputy. like its just so blatant like give us subtlety pls)

Anyways but like instead of that I’d make it so TIGERPAW is the one who first gets into trouble, whereas Redpaw would be the one to save him -- Tigerpaw is shocked and angry he couldn’t save himself but Tigerpaw would tell Redpaw he “owes him one” and is gonna make it up to him one day

Then in another chapter there’d be a timeskip, Redtail becoming a warrior, this chapter would be mostly “fluff” parts (or it would just be giving stuff that leads to the next “action” part) But Tigerpaw reminds Redtail that even if he’s a warrior, that Tigerpaw will still make it up to him and to not forget his promise-- Redtail brushes this off though as he sees it as Tigerpaw just being young and not serious. It could note how old his mother is and how she declined being an elder or something

But after that it would eventually lead into a cat-battle, probably Riverclan related, and there would be some action moment where Redtail worries about his old mother and struggles to find her and assure that she’s safe, Only for Tigerpaw to save him and help him save his mother (Maybe he can also help redtail by helping him carry her if shes wounded or smth idk) And it basically ends up with Redtail being proud of Tigerpaw (Who could become Tigerclaw here actually because I dont think Tigerclaw’s warrior ceremony was ever given much reason other than them two just being warrior-aged, it’d be good for Tigerclaw’s reputation context in the first arc if he actually did more “great” acts) and it basically gets to Tigerclaw being like “I told you I would pay you back one day.” And Redtail being like “Thank you Tigerclaw. Whatever debt there was between us has been repaid honorably. I’m proud to call you my clanmate.” sort of thing blah blah. 

Note: A concept idea I had is that younger-Willowpelt is characterized similarly to Rosetail’s place in BP, being boy-interested and as an apprentice stating how she’d love to have kits some day (like beyond typical degree though), I thought of maybe keeping that old “Tawnyspots is Darkstripes father” concept but the relationship would be like a Nightcloud situation where she simply dated a much younger (though adult), unrelatable Crowfeather because she wanted to have kits--- I imagined it being gossip that Tawnyspots wants to have kits before he dies ((but it wouldn’t go in depth of their relationship, I don’t imagine Tawnyspots was actually in love with her but he wasn’t distant or abusive about it. It’d just be one of those things that are like “oh that makes sense because X” that are mentioned only in passing))-- though since it happened within a timeskip Darkkit’s father could go unnamed. Moving Red/Willow’s birth to before Tigerclaws would make this work more so that Willowpelt at least gets to be a warrior before Tawnyspots dies.

But then another timeskip and Willowpelt gives birth to Darkkit, probably just being the only one of his litter because tragedy is uneeded here, and Swiftbreeze also turns out to be pregnant around the same time (which cats could gossip about how old she is ig bec warrior cats are rude) --- ((Though actually I might make it so she has kits a little later, but not by that much))

This point is a little bit more cloudy in terms of my thought process, but I imagine whether it be a battle, or kit-danger, Tigerclaw saves Willowpelt and Darkkit in another intense *redtail scared for his family* moment, which would lead up to an interaction being like (not literally this is just what im coming up with) Tigerclaw: “I’m just repaying my debt. I’ll never forget how you saved my life Redtail.”  Redtail: “Your debt has been repaid. I promise, Tigerclaw, I’ll pay you back for all the times you’ve helped me, as you’ve done for me. Let’s consider this a debt of my own.”

(So which is what gives the title “Redtails debt” more depth up there ^^^ Also note at this point it wouldn’t be acknowledged but Tigerclaw’s kindness is now more “building up his reputation” rather than him being a nice person. like manipulatively he’s acting super noble)  And Although after this would leave an opening for some more plot (maybe some sort of fallout scene like the original RD had, but rather than it ending with Redtail not trusting him I think I’d make it so Tigerclaw ties it up much better and Redtail still trusts him MAYBE something like there’s a sunningrocks battle and some character dies because Tigerclaw tells him not to give up/end the fight-- though it wouldn't end with Redtail not trusting Tigerclaw or hating him), But even from there it could have the timeskip to the prequel sunningrocks battle, Ravenpaw actually acts like Ravenpaw, I’d prefer to show off more of the younger apprentices then bec thats cute and iconic, and Redtail as a “death flag” moment where he reminds Tigerclaw that he’ll pay him back and never forget his debt. Redtail DOESNT kill oakheart, and as Tigerclaw kills him the last words Redtail hears from Tigerclaw is “Consider your debt repaid.”

hey there :-) idk how into lore u are, but i was wondering what u thought about this bc ive been trying to figure it out.

in hitting on 16, when cquackity asks for cwilbur's wisdom, cwilbur went from sinking on his chair to standing up and yelling, even "attacking" cquackity by referencing his scar ("...or a pickaxe?")

i'm writing an essay on their relationship and i was wondering why cwilbur seemed so defensive about cquackity's request. was he disappointed? was he hoping he'd say something else?

anyway, if this is too random im sorry, im just rambling and didnt know what blog to ask this ^^

firstly, wilbur is just naturally defensive and argumentative when he’s around quackity cause he gets a kick out of arguing with him, so i’d imagine that’s why the conversation turned that direction in the first place, since it was already argumentative before that specific moment you mention. i think that specific part was just a natural escalation

the thing about cwilbur is that he always wants to feel in control of a situation, and this includes conversations, yeah? like, just before the part you mention, wilbur slams the keys to his van on the table and insists quackity take it from him, and this is because if he himself brings up the things he values being taken from him, then when they are, he feels more in control of the situation. “if you won’t hurt me then i’ll do it myself” is pretty much cwilburs Thing. if i initiate the argument then i will be in control of it and thus can’t be hurt by it, if i tell you to take something from me then it will hurt less when it’s gone, etc etc

so as for the part you mention, basically cwilbur was Already on the defensive and already anticipating quackity taking something from him, and so when quackity brought up wanting his wisdom and nothing else, wilbur was confused at the prospect of an interaction where nothing is taken from him and so he lashes out to feel more in control of the situation. he knows that quackity (and people in general) often have ulterior motives, and he’s a distrusting and paranoid sort of guy, so he becomes argumentative again because he feels the need to instigate in order to protect himself from being misled. he wasn’t disappointed so much as he was thrown off, and being confused is a bad feeling especially for cwilbur, who Hates feeling helpless.

also, in terms of their relationship, quackity is the person with more power and status, which is a dynamic wilbur is still very much not used to since being revived, which adds to why he’s so naturally defensive toward quackity. quackity is a wealthy president of a self-made nation, he’s in a similar position to how wilbur once viewed himself — that is, as a leader. so you can imagine it’s rather easy for wilbur to also project his insecurities about his past onto quackity (which i touched on in my poetry analysis too)

he likely feels condescended because of this power dynamic, which makes him angrier. so i’d say he lashes out at quackity on that personal level because he sees his past self in quackity and is angry at himself, he genuinely enjoys arguing with him and getting under his skin because the way quackity interacts with him makes him feel alive, and also because hurting someone else helps him feel more in control and in less danger of being hurt himself.

I got sick and didnt feel like watching dsmp so I just watched a bunch of random movies I found on my german piracy site of choice for almost a week but now Im better and Im about to watch Eryns origin story and idk man, I just felt like sharing my thoughts about that guy so far

First of all, Im so curious about this concept of any dsmp character having an origin story bc its like. their origin story is that they showed up. thats it. Like yeah, a lot of people very obviously have histories going back to before they showed up on the smp but theyre never really elaborated upon. Niki and Wilbur would kill for eachother with no hesitation, no explaination needed, stuff like that

Also, Im curious about some of the demon lore we'll potentially get bc like, demons arent a thing in minecraft the way slimes or endermen are but Eryn said he is one and also actually confirmed that BBH is one as well (I think he did anyway, I know its been popular fanon for a while but I dont remember it being brought up in canon before he said it), so Im curious how theyre gonna be integrated. My prediction is that theyre basically just gonna be like, the nether-equivalent of humans. Like, in the overworld the humans (or player characters ig) are the only sapient creatures and in the nether its demons.

But thats general lore stuff, now I wanna talk about my guy Eryn !!!! :D

I like him so much and idek why. Hes just a fun guy a fun lil guy I love him :D

I guess the best way to describe it would be like, Im very charmed by him. I love that hes like, this edgy-lookin ninja guy who likes to cause trouble, hes really the chaotic teenage boy this server has been missing ever since every other teenage boy has either been horrifically traumatized or is Purpled. I also like that, despite him being this chaotic teen boy who does what he wants, he seems to very sincerely admire Eret and listens to them for some reason ?? I say 'for some reason' because Eret has kinda been old news for a long time, like the fact that theyre a king doesnt mean anything because actual governments just kinda stopped mattering to everyone except for Wilbur and Quackity, but that honestly just makes it more charming. Eryn and Erets entire dynamic is just so good idk why, but its so comfy and chill in a way where you can tell theyre still just aquaintances but its still so nice yknow. This kinda ties into my previous point as well, I really like how he put a shit ton of effort into getting good knight armor and honestly really wants to be a knight while also demonstrating that hes willing and able to like, steal shit from the prison

Another thing that I find really interesting is his complete and utter lack of connection or interaction with Dream. Like, he arrived after Dream had long been in prison and while he left an undeniable impact on literally everything in the server, no one really. talked about it? Eryn seemingly had to go out of his way to get any kind of information because when Dream was still locked up everyone was all like "welp, the big badscary villain man is gone, and we're all safe so we dont have to worry about him anymore and we'd rather not talk or think about him lest we spoil everyones good mood" and then when he escaped they were all like "oh no, we're already feeling so anxious and bad bc we dont know where he is so we'd rather not talk about him lest we make everyone feel even worse when everything is already so terrible". His mindset is that Dream hasnt harmed him personally and hes never really interacted with him so he doesnt really have an opinion on him, which is very interesting as well. On one hand, it seems a bit naive to think that way when literally everyone keeps telling him how horrible that guy is, but also, while none of the conflicts on the dream smp have ever been caused by mob mentality, they have certainly been exercabated by it, so i guess its better to have less of it

I do have mixed feelings about that though. I feel like I'd need to see Eryn interact with Dream in order to really form an opinion on that and I feel like they might actually do that. Like, Eryn is Tommys friend and I think if Dream somehow found out that he doesnt have any negative feelings towards him on the basis of "he hasnt harmed me personally", he would definitely try to exploit that and I think that could be really interesting. If that doesnt happen in canon I might write an AU about it, probably not straight up villain!Eryn but maybe leaning more towards chaotic neutral idk

● my memory from my time in the mansion is... fuzzy, but i do remember tessa. she was a skinny brown haired girl who always wore bows. she was very kind, i remember as far back as her being a child. the master and mistress wouldnt let us close to her, but she was always fascinated by drones

• i dont think disassembly drones were made the same way as we were in canon. i know we were basically undead workers, but afterwards we were something else entirely, and we werent created by the solver.

• disassembly drones had two jaws! the second jaw was meant for crushing and pulverizing matter, such as metal, to be used to regrow body parts (like my head lmao)

• the headcanon about the lights on the tops of our heads being our eyes was true! so was drone purring :3

• we all had paws! disassembly drones had puffier ones, and workers had theirs mostly painted on. uzi wore gloves to keep hers hidden

• j and v were my sisters. not... literally, but we had a group sibling dynamic. j was the oldest, v the middle and me the youngest, in terms of personality anyway. j and v did NOT treat me like canon. j was a little rough, but she had a protective streak and took her leadership seriously. that didnt mean she didnt care! and v was kind of my rival - we always playfully butted heads and even roughhoused often. we still do in-sys lol

• i was a lot more like the n from the pilot. i had no problem attacking or killing people for the right reasons, even if they were workers or not. i did try not to attack workers cus of uzi, but sometimes i couldnt help it. plus, some of them were being mean and dserved it! ^^ if i did, i made sure not to do it near uzi or the others. most of the time, if i did drink worker oil it was from ones that were already offline.

• murder/robot gore/stalking cw. it was very very easy for me to get uh. carried away in the hunt. i loved the thrill, the feeling, the sounds of metal crushing under my claws. the oil was so delicious, it was hard not to. the way i moved when in hunting mode was a lot like an animal. id often get down on all fours and stalk my prey, and i loved to chase. v and i would often compete for body counts before i met uzi and the others (which was hard, because they werent always in one piece)

• v's hunting style was like a birds. she'd swoop down a lot, attacking her target from above or bringing them in the air with her. j's was quick but effective, and she always made a point to end it quickly. she uh, played around a LOT less than me and v did and she often scolded us for taking too long

• honestly, i was akin to a guard dog, especially around uzi. i kind of hated the people who were mean to her and casted her out. it made me angry to think about her being hurt in any capacity. she tried hard to teach me that she didnt need protecting, but it never went away. shes my little worker drone, no ones allowed to be mean to her! >:(

• on that note, uzi and i were never a thing. i dunno if she ever had feelings for me, but she never acted on them if she did. she was a puesdo-sibling to me if anything.

• i have a lot of memories of trying to teach uzi how to get a hang of her solver form. anything from supplying her with oil to flying lessons.

• i did kinda treat workers like cute pets at first ^^; i took on a protective role whenever i was around them. most of them didnt "step out of line" (i use that term loosely) because i think they were still scared of me, but i didn't mind as long as they stayed safe

• i think in some kind of way i ended up being the protector of uzi's colony. i have a lot of memories of being inside or outside the doors. i think id patrol around looking for any other disassemblers that were trying to get in. maybe this was just something I did of my own accord, idk

• as for j and v, i dont think they joined me perse. they helped me out n stuff and we saw each other often but they mostly stayed at the spire

• uzi did eventually get control of her solver form! she grew more traits similar to it, like sharper teeth and claws, but she was pretty much able to go in and out of it at will!!! I was very proud of her :)

• uzi kept their robot parts under their bed in a backpack for when the solver got a bit Hangry. i remember helping her put oil in small canisters so she'd always have something. getting control of the form itself came first, but the urges... took awhile to get under wraps

Hello! I read your latest fic yesterday-I love werewolves and I loved your fic too. So I was wondering if you have any personal headcanons of your own version of werewolves (like does a full moon precede a shift, do they all travel in packs, etc.) Would you ever write another werewolf AU? I feel like it would be interesting to read one that explores a bitten werewolf and one who was born a "natural" werewolf in a relationship. :)

holy fuck i have been thinking about this All Fawking Day thank u so much for asking my thoughts on werewolves because i have MANY. it is under the cut because i started talking and then i Could Not Fucking Stop :)

okay so basically i have gotten really FUCKING obsessed with the concept of like. monster horror and queerness and in general like body horror and its relation to sexuality and gender as a whole? read Real Women Have Bodies by carmen maria machado btw that's where i started thinking about this. and i got really into this idea of like. being a werewolf/being monstrous is a very queer thing like especially looking at my own journey of transition and coming out i see myself sorta reflected in the inevitability of shifting into a monstrous state. like you cant hide it. you cant run from it. you can only surrender yourself to it. and so i wrote an entire short story for a class that was about werewolves and internalized homophobia and healing and self acceptance and I've really vibed with my own personal interpretation of werewolves from there so. that is the Starting Point of My Thoughts sorry that is ZERO headcanons and more metaphorical implications of a person being neither monster nor human but a secret third thing (which is the best phrase in the english language btw).

ANYWAYS headcanon/personal truths time. 1. werewolves cannot shift at will. did fucking twilight make this popular i HATE this it takes away from the agony of being forced to confront the thing that is simultaneously monstrous and also a core part of who you are. i like my body horror gory and bloody and in my mind a werewolf's shift is PAINFUL like losing teeth and breaking bones and bleeding and bleeding and bleeding. didnt write that into the fic of course but i think that lack of control (even the lack of control of When A Wolf Goes Into Rut) is something thats really critical to the concept of werewolves and their relation to queerness in general. i DO think werewolves form packs, much like when you are queer your friendgroup generally. becomes a bunch of queer people. like calls to like but im not a fan of strict pack dynamics/leaders/borderline omegaverse dynamics, especially since strict pack dynamics actually arent really a thing in real life wolf packs. it also gives every member a sense of autonomy and shifts the definition of "pack" from "social structure" into something closer to a Found Family dynamic.

okay fun nsfw time about ruts. i dont like the concept of omegaverse heats/ruts to be honest i have a lot of problems with a lot of omegaverse (starting with its history and conception) that run the risk of often taking mlm relationships and sorta. heterosexualizing them? idk how to phrase it well but the uber-masculine-male and pathetic-breedable-twink thing is fun sometimes but sometimes feels gensrs borderline misogynistic in omegaverse when its the Only Possible Dynamic and moderate masc/moderate masc couples get SHUNTED into those stereotypes but thats just my thoughts. ANYWAYS when a boy werewolf and a boy werewolf love each other very much or dont its just a thing i think they have ruts where its not Fuck Or Die but it sure feels like it! i think they shift a little bit claws sharp teeth ears hehe puppy ears (do i think werewolf dick is like that all the time? unclear i have to examine my own personal biases) but they are still mainly in control except for being very horny which is like. epic. anyways i kinda leaned into omegaverse ideas of Scents and Mating but for me i thought of it more like getting married instead of "this is my babymaker and i have CLAIMED THEM" dynamics (thats why i made them switches also i just think dnf r switch representation men can be pillow princes one day and be topping you the next lets have some diversity okay?) and also i just think dream deserves to smell like apple cider and george deserves to smell like moss but hey its fic i do what i want i could write different monster sex and Someone would read it.

I think expectations worked well in favor of the sequel than when I played the first game.

When I went into aitsf, I think I was expecting more than one mystery, not that kinda crass humour, more gameplay. basically smth like ace attorney or danganronpa. i guess i was initially disappointed bc i didnt like 999 or just the zero escape trilogy in general. I honestly thought it was gonna be an L for me until I finally actually got my first ending and went through the other routes.

The strength of ai is in its mystery and how it fools the player and the detective through the limited point of view. Not pun intended since you know, they only see through one eye technically, but there were a lot of hints pointing to obvious truths that are so easy to dismiss until the truth is revealed.

My mind was like WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING a lot of the time but in a good way.

I think a big reason I didn't like 999 was that I just felt so unconvinced by the conclusion and that the development didn't feel enough whereas in ai it does a good job of linking everything together in a way that doesn't feel like a cop-out. I mean 999 gave foreshadowing but the sci-fi elements didn't feel very REAL until the end, it was more of ok fun theory i guess and then suddenly SCI FI HEAVY ENDING. Ai is more like hi we're technologically advanced and we're very silly so there's a lot of space for your suspension of disbelief.

well i'm sure that's a personal thing a lot of others would disagree with but for me that's a core reason why i did like ai.

i also thought that the dynamics in ai in general were just a lot stronger and better formed (but this is not a 999 hate post i swear so i will get on with it).

ANYWAY.

since i could curb those expectations with aini and sorta knew what i was getting into going in, i could enjoy it a lot more from beginning to end. i could just get lost in the BIG mystery and not worry about the what ifs and just think of all the alt routes as ultimately serving the true ending.

also omg i didnt love the ui in ai because i didnt know you had to keep interacting until you had to stop interacting, which just didnt seem obvious to me because huh the convo is done right why are we not moving on but no the convo was not done. i knew that going in now so i didnt feel as annoyed hahaha

aini is a lot more structured and well it's by design by the time you find out how fucked the timelines are. to be honest it's still hard to wrap my mind around it.

needless to say i was losing it when we were in that one bibi part where im like WE ARE MIZUKI BUT THIS IS CLEARLY 6 YEARS AGO WTF IS HAPPENING LOOK DATE IS RIGHT THERE ALSO WHY ARE THE SPRITES LIKE THAT

The last somnium with Amame was sooooo good like it uses her previous lightning round quiz show questions where it just seemed like kinda random questions to actually show all the choices Amame had to make in the end. It's even more impressive once you realize OH SHIT THIS WAS JUST A FEW DAYS AGO NOT 6 YEARS AGO like what you initially thought.

Though her story is so tragic...

Tbh it is pretty funny how it became a shounen final boss battle in the last part. It's very silly but I think it's fitting for protags like Mizuki and Mizuki...idk how to explain but they have the protag energy. Date was more low-key so him having that kinda ending where he had to let go of Aiba instead was a lot more fitting.

IDK THE POINT OF MAKING US THINK RYUKI DIED WHY DID THEY DO THAT. I was like: ok this was a good end but ryuki died so maybe i will opt for the alternate route thing i've been hearing about bc ryuki is alive. well i know the point of it, it's just a suspense thing they wanted to do but it wasn't really as dramatic as aiba's self-destruction which was the climax of that end scene.

I wanna hate that they claim that Date is just wearing a mask the whole time. I mean I GET IT IT'S FOR NO SPOILERS and like the story is not about Date but like we went through so much in the first game and we get this very convenient explanation....it's not a focal point but I thought it would be a big deal and it wasn't jxfvbjd

The secret not so secret ending was so meta hahaha. It sorta proves the ideology naix and shigure had but this was also only possible because it's a game. So it makes you think these people obviously don't think of themselves as game characters so how about you? Are you living in the real world or the simulation? I don't believe in those sorta conspiracy theories but I like how it just tied it all together.

I didn't do the joke end of atami(?) but the mere existence of it is funny lmao.

oh right the cast

i love ryuki but i think the boy has gone through some shit and needs a hug... i dont really ship him with tama but i guess the main difference between him and the aiba partnerships is that tama seems to not take ryuki seriously and to be doing her own thing at first glance but she is actually very indulgent of him and lets him do what he wants. she is also fiercely protective which is why ryuki couldnt share any of his burdens during the past 6 years.

i understand bibi hating him but im sorry i'm a ryuki apologist bibi

omg i was so excited to see adult shoma and then i went WHY DOES HE LOOK THE SAME but wow that was actually a plot point dfvdfvd i like his lil crush on mizuki but i dont see mizuki reciprocating any time soon...she just seems uninterested in romance HAHAHA

i feel like gen existed just for amame so he feels more like an extension of amame that existed to help her than his own character which is partly why im just kinda hmmm on him. sad he died in that one ending...which kinda sucks because everyone else had happy stuff in their endings in contrast. i guess it didn't pull my heart strings enough bc we dunno how amame and gen even became friends and everything so it feels like we're seeing this strong love but without the background of how it came to be.

in contrast we saw from the start how the lien and kizuna thing developed. i dont really ship them but i think how they turned out was sweet. i was initially very meh with the idea that lien just doesnt know how to take a no but well ig the story at least showed us he wasnt creepy like uh ota or moma so he gets an upgrade in my book as 'you're ok'

the shoma & komeji ending was the first i got and it was really sweet and it makes the reality of the true timeline sadder because the last thing komeji hears either of his children say to him before he gets sliced is that they're disappointed in him

but they actually loved him very much

which is to say the secret ending...ryuki gets the burden of knowledge even though everything is 'happier' but idk how it would do him good to just live in this perfect world we chose for him instead. we saved him going thru the bad 6 years but he has the knowledge that they existed in the first place. anyway some real fun meta shit they did.

the ryuki obsession with date wasn't enough methinks. i just dont feel convinced, it just seems like he feels guilty because he knows what he did which fair enough sure but everybody gave me the impression he was obsessed since the start so i felt disappointed in that regard

not enough date tbh or rather not enough date in the way i would have prefered hahahaha. like i wanted a more dramatic reunion with mizuki and/or aiba

i mean they were finally happy then 6 years of date just gone...wtf mizuki keeps getting Ls in her life

also ig bc as an aiba/date shipper i just felt deprived but im ok. i really am. i reallly am

oh right one thing i do want to commend on aini is how its somniums are just so much more logically driven so they're more fun to solve. it doesnt feel like the strange randomness of the first game where you just have to somehow hope you're doing the right thing. there is still randomness but it feels hmmm like there is more sense in the overall somnium than the past game

i probs have more thoughts but i kinda just kept playing and playing for like 20 hours and im sure if i had any thoughts during i forgot to write them down dxfvbdfcvj but i'll probs remember if im asked very specific things

if there will be another game, i will for sure buy and play but can we no longer have separation of date and mizuki + aiba? tnx.

The general who became a father to his soldier (spoilers for rwby v8 ch13)

Personal impressions:

I was so mad last week, thinking IW would have been defeated already/too soon but they tricked us. And I'm so glad it's a Winter vs. Ironwood fight. And the emotions.... I can't.

He was her father figure and I'm sure it was viewed like that from both sides. We were clearly shown what IW would do if anyone was in his way. Even when she disobeyed he didn't shoot her. He trusted her until the last moment.... We saw him get mad, break down and hopeless. But never cry. It's not just any soldier he's fighting. He's fighting his right hand. Winter Schnee, someone who was like a daughter to him.

But let's get to their actual relationship.

An essay on Winter in RWBY is planned btw.

Winter seems to have the highest rank in the military next to Ironwood, which is impressive for her age and shows her determination but also how IW believes in her

In V4 Jacques claimed that IW "stole his daughter" and IW hinted at that they often had this conversation

In V7 Jacques asked IW if Winter knew that Weiss returned to Atlas

From the point of V2 and V3 it seems that Winter still had contact to Jacques but not as much anymore in V7, something happened and I think because of the dust embargo IW and Jacques had their confrontation and Winter obviously chose IW's side and detached from her father completely

(It was always hinted (and I think even stated in the remnant guide book) that Winter protected her siblings and had to take the most abuse. And you can clearly see that by her type of fight or flight trauma and how she's literally supposed to represent the ice queen with her hidden emotions and stuff

You see her in that state of shock, fear, panic, trauma etc. when she realizes that she failed Ironwood. He was proud of her for catching Yang, Ren and Jaune and put his hand on her since they would be useful. Harriet then told him and I think this represents how someone like IW would be able to hurt her that much emotionally since he is in the position of an authority and a father figure to her)

Also he was ready to shoot his people at any time like the council man or Marrow but he didn't shoot her and allowed her to stay by her side

That and how she defends IW most of the time show how she trusts her judgment, IW trusts her judgement as well as seen in V4 when he told Jacques that Winter told him that there was a threat in Mistral

In World of Remnant we see IW walking past soldiers and Winter standing out. It was about the technical grooming of atlas students to join the military but you can tell from what we know of Ironwood, that he has a good heart (eruption fang made a vid on that recently)

When Winter told Weiss that "the general would have a place for you" She said it with such happiness, atlas and the military was winter's new home and IW gave her the chance to repurpose her life

She even defended IW in front of Jacques, her biological father and she takes great personal offense when his judgement is mistreated. Even when Weiss talked about trust Winter said that he would never hide anything from her

The offer with the Winter Maiden... You could say that he did this to control her and I'd accept your opinion... But there's one thing that makes me think that he still obviously also cared for her. Over the years he knew how much the military meant to her. She even told Penny that her life doesnt matter and only her job does. It means everything to her and like Winter said herself, she saw the Maiden powers as a privilege and it makes me feel like Ironwood saw them as something that would make her unique and give her once again a purpose that is unique to her and not just her being one of many soldiers

He even apologized, knowing it wouldn't be easy for her (since he expected Winter and not Ozcar) and when he had his talk with RWBY he called Winter her/Weiss' sister instead of just her name and idk but that just made this even more special

In Volume 8 it is once again shown how Winter is basically the one who also trusted Ironwood until the end. And in ch 12 she didnt judge him... She expressed her worries for his behavior. She couldn't believe the man who made her feel like she was everything would ever become so cruel

They way their worry for each other looks so similar

And while I know that they have a theme for the Atlas military , I think it's obvious how Winter looked even more like IW in all her outfits compared to the rest of the military

Many people think Ironwood is dumb for over trusting Winter but I think it shows his flaw as a general. He let's his emotions get in the way since he cares about her and continues to trust her even though she disobeyed orders

His last words were "As my last order: step aside", he could've just shot her again as she layed defenseless on the ground but he didn't

Remember how in the first episode he said "Thank you Winter, I don't know what I would do without you"

Right before, she said that she'll be fine without him asking anything. It sounds a little more personal in my opinion. Why would you tell your boss that you'll be fine without him asking about your status? the conversation was literally about Qrow and Robyn before but he looked worried and wanted the room for themselves and she immediately said that.

Some people also talk about how they emphasized with Ironwood in volume 7 since wasn't shown to have family or a partner yet would do anything for Atlas. But again, he did care about Winter a lot and wanted her to be save.

Something I also noticed when writing this is that in volume 3 Ironwood called her Schnee yet in V7 he calls the Ace Ops and her via first name basis. Clover said that he trusts Ironwood with this life and I think that's how Winter and the Ace ops felt about him, the person who gave them hope. Especially Winter.

And now we're here. Seeing the man cry a tear. We know now, if Winter wins, she has to kill him. Imprisoning him wasn't enough. And I think that will be her final moment of her being a "Ice Queen", when she has to kill him, she will probably turn to her emotional side and grieve.

As mentioned, the military, her position, her rank and Ironwood meant everything to her. She talked so enthusiastically when she had her conversation with Weiss about moving in together without their father and how IW has a place for her younger sister. And now along with Ironwood, both are in a situation they never thought they'd be in.

That was it from me. In short form , I just wanted to share some ideas and things I've noticed about their relationship and dynamic. None of this is meant as a romantic way and you can of course disagree but please stay respectful. Thank you and we'll see each other next chapter<3

Part 7 - Kate

If you'd asked her, Kate wouldn't have been able to tell what exactly had gotten her interested in it.

Maybe it was the idea of the power dynamic. She had always been one of those girls labeled as 'bossy' growing up, which was a misogynistic way of saying that she wasn't afraid to speak up and speak her mind.

Or maybe it was the subversion of expectations of a traditional relationship that did it for her. The idea that she was the one in control, the one making all the decisions.

Maybe it was the fact that it was so taboo and kinky that appealed to her. It didnt really matter, whatever the reason.

Prince: that's the theory, yes

Prince: well, dissolvable stent technology present state takes like 18 months to break down, and the manufacturing of it is patented and kept under lock and key

Liv: so basically all you have to offer is a catheter lol

Prince: well no. I've got some good leads on dissolvable compounds, but I've got to do trials of the rings first to see if it would even work. I've promised free diapers for the first few months if people sign up, but it's been hard to get subjects

Liv: so these trial rings wouldn't dissolve?

In the end Kate was curious enough that she was willing to hear the guy out.

He'd asked for a mailing address and her phone number. The first was to send proof that his company was real, and the second was just to keep in contact should she decide to proceed.

It all made sense, at least in theory. Foley catheters were safe, provided they were inserted by a trained healthcare professional. A normal person would get a normal catheter just like everyone else. But an ABDL would be signing up for what was essentially an intentionally faulty catheter.

I dropped the rest of the mail on the counter and started to open up my scan results. As I was reading, Kate walked over and began sorting through the other mail.

"Oh good, they said it's benign, but they're still worried about the location. They're recommending removal, just to be on the safe side."

"Removal for something benign? That sounds odd, but whatever," Kate said, tucking something into her back pocket.

"I'm not too worried. It sounds like it should be a pretty routine procedure."

Part 8 - Mike

I sat down on the couch, my diaper squishing underneath me. Kate had taken to putting two stuffers in my diaper, even though these Tykables could already hold a lot. • by buying the appartment property that she lives on

• and getting someone to act as the “landlord” and tell her that someone already paid for her rent, and that it’s something that the landlord is offering to all the single parent tenants (which. lucas decides why the fuck not, it’ll be less hassle for him, plus he’s stupid fucking rich)

• ok now i’m gonna go over the basic timeline that i have in mind:

• i like the idea that lucas and athy end up meeting at the cafe when she’s still pregnant. and that lucas just decides “fuck it i can afford to run a few businesses why tf not” and bought lily’s cafe, allowing lily to still run the business as she likes, and giving the staff higher pay and more benefits (and lily more or less has a positive view of lucas)

• spoilers: he totally bought the business after hearing that athy might need a second job after she gives birth to her babies cause like. babies are fucking expensive

• guess who also paid her hospital bills?

• if you guessed lucas, then you’d be correct

• so her babies are born, she’s got a pretty good pay, so she’s able to pay a babysitter to take care of the babies whenever she works.

• throughout their friendship, lucas will more or less be stuck wondering why the fuck he’s doing so much for athy, and at first it’s simply because he thought it was annoying to see her suffering so much just to try and make ends meet, and eventually its because “oh fuck its because i consider her to be an important friend”

• im ngl ive been listening to dodie music again (specifically “Sick of Losing Soulmates” which Hurts)

• i have like. 7 Soulmate AUs. but for now i’m just gonna focus on 1 of the 7 ideas i have, which happens to be the one that im the most interested in

• name of your sworn enemy / name of your soulmate

• for lucas, it’s Aeternithas de Alger Obelia and Athanasia de Alger Obelia. and tbh? he’s pretty pissed off that he has 2 names from the goddamn obelia royal fam tbh

• aeternithas would 100% assume that lucas is his soulmate (he isnt). idk who would be his other name. honestly? who tf knows cause i sure dont

• i considered having the whole soulmarks thing fade by claude’s generation, hence why athy wouldnt have a name on her wrist anymore, but i decided against it

• so lucas would be her soulmate

• the problem is that idk who would be her sworn enemy

• at first, i considered it to be claude for her sworn enemy, which would later change after she almost died (so after lucas saves her, claude’s name ends up disappearing)

• the main reason why athy would have different names, comparing lp with wmmap athy, is because wmmap athy has the knowledge of her previous life

what remains to be seen -- Model AU

• kinda self-explanatory, really

• like c’mon. look at lucas and athy and tell me that they can’t be models in the modern world

• i kinda imagine that athy would be a movie actress and model. normally she ends up playing princess roles, since she ended up gaining a lot of fans after her role as Princess Athanasia in the Lovely Princess movie when she was a teenager, so much that people often refer to her as “princess” or “Athy” (mainly from the people that worked with her on the film)

• she’ll be Lee Ji Hye in this au, but i’m referring to her as Athy to make it less confusing for my normally sleep-deprived squirrel brain

• i will admit that at one point i was tempted to have this as another fake dating au, where lucas and athy have their picture taken together and ends up having a shit ton of shippers

• lucas and athy for sure meet at a photoshoot for the first time

• this is basically that imagine your otp post where this girl’s at an airport, her flight was delayed, and she’s swiping through tinder, and there’s a guy that’s behind her who goes “ouch. hard no for that one?” and she turns around and sees the guy she just swiped no on

oh how my knees go weak to be the one -- Canon Compliant

• similarly to the 100 prompt challenge of mine, i’d like to do a prompt challenge but with kisses

• not gonna go too detailed into it, since this will probably end up becoming another nsfwyn idea of mine. cause while im thinking of innocent kisses like butterfly, cheek, or forehead kisses, there’s definitely suggestive prompts here waiting to be written, especially when you look at the list

• also it doesn’t really help that i deadass got the title of this au from The Hush Sound’s “The Boys Are Too Refined”, and in the lyrics, there’s a mention of “oh, how my knees go weak to be the one / she kicks and bucks” plus “and if the timing is right / to sneak off into the night / i’ll let myself be taken just for the thrill”

• i considered using a lyric from their other song molasses, but that song gives off more of a sad vibe while the boys are too refined is more suggestive

• so yeah. suffice to say this is gonna be my nsfwyn project

• i’ve been, admittedly, looking through my “imagine your otp” tag on my side blog, and one of the otp prompts is about a matchmaking service based on your search history, and the match up ends up being a writer and a serial killer

7 Anti LO Asks

1. How long is the time line in LO? Hades says Apollo’s been harassing Persphone for months, but hasn’t it only be like 2 months max? 

From OP: Hades is overexaggerating. At most, it’s been a month and a couple days.

2. Idk how LO can even TRY to claim being progressive. Persphone is the “born sexy yesterday trope” with the audience being told she’s a high achiever yet lacks a lot in that department.

Is it cause Hades had a chance to be shitty and gross and then didn’t completely be shitty and gross for not harming Persphone when he found her in his car? He knew Artemis was her friend why didn’t he call her to let her know she has her friend? (There was a whole plan to distract Artemis so he could talk to her if I remember right). Hades is still a shitty make lead character (in progressive/character way) we have slave labor, firing employees for small things, getting involved with Minthe his PA/ EX GF and then wanted to TRANSFER HER so he could basically have Persphone replace her. Was the story suppose to be progressive because we got to see a male victim POV? Because the Minthe/Hades dynamic is written so weirdly. Hades has control over her rent/job/utilities, but she has smacked him and says a lot of insults. Minthe shouldn’t abuse but I don’t really have sympathy for Hades. Are we suppose to feel bad for Hades because of Kornos? The story is written in such a way that I lowkey forget about it. Idk sure we get to see Hades be a “good guy” but the way a lot of characters are around him I don’t believe he’s truly a “good guy”

Hera was never much of a feminist icon, but idk if RS is trying to rebrand that or not. Sure she helps Persphone greatly BUT that’s really who she’s willing to help. She finds Minthe to be “nymph trash” and Artemis was something unpleasant, and when she first met echo she didn’t like her right off the bat until she made her tea. She’s basically that meme where it’s like “diversity wins that mean old lady might cheat on her husband with a young lady”. Hera X Echo the next HXP boss/employee couple 🤪

Pysche kinda had a cool plot, and I wish we saw more of the human’s perspective of Olympus hanging out with Aphrodite, BUT WE DONT, and Pysche who hardly knows Persphone is ready to out her assault to Artemis but ends up outing her to Daphne and I assume has her to face ANY consequences for that. Also her character and purely defined by Eros.

There’s more but I feel like I’m going too much on it. 

3. oommmmg even the anatomy got worse??? why are the backs of their heads even smaller now??? you know thats where their brains go right?? rachel where are their brains?? is that why they act so stupidly now??

4. I still can't get over how absolutely disrespectful the ace characters “slowly turning gay over time is.” Like yeah, orientation can change over time but the way asexuality is presented as a phase is disgusting.

Only LO characters turning gay are Minthe and Persephone when I enter my little queer time machine.

5. you know, ive read a fair few long running webtoons and all of them have style changes, but it's always for the better because the artists are refining their senses of anatomy, to push poses, to become more confident in their work. LO is only one i've seen where it's actually gotten worse, with that Hades example being a prime example. Even beyond the worse character design, look at the previous use of interesting colors and light! those are all tone now for blank voids and flat neon colors!

(previous anon asking about the art getting worse) also note that early Hades actually looked reasonable aged? he looks to be maybe at most mid-30s, but he looks regal and attractive with normal but unique proportions (also pretty hair! i miss it!), while current Hades looks like an old man with a ridiculous nose, greased down hair, and looks at least 40 years older than Persephone. OG Hades looked like he made sense with her, while current Hades looks like he needs a visit from Chris Hansen.

6. you know, i still thinks hes a creep but early lo hades at least looked attractive enough to justify persephone getting horny over him (esp bc she didnt know who he really is), but now? nah man, he somehow went into negative sex appeal with an even worse personality. idk how thats even possible to make your romantic lead somehow less appealing, but here we are.

7. i honestly wonder if the art team are playing a joke on rachel but how increasingly stupid they draw hades' nose. it doesnt even look like an styled hook or aquiline nose like it was in the beginning, it just looks like a clown prop. even stylized versions of the joker dont do that. its honestly distracting over looking unique or handsome (which i personally find big and/or hooked noses to look). idk why they had him look half way decent in the start only to make him up looking like /that/ now.
