"It's called a punch, bitch! Don't ever touch my sister again."
"Get him, Ao'nung!"
"Show him!"
"Stop this! Stop it! So stupid!"

Kiri had begun to laugh the nerves off, amused by the ridiculous display of testosterone in all her short teenage life. Hiding her giggles behind her hand, all she could do was watched as her brothers pathetically fought for her dignity against Ao'nung and some of the other reef boys. It had all been fun and games until she noticed a familiar figure in the sky and she craned her neck up to see it.
A shadow looms over the boys, darkening the world around them as it drew closer. Lo'ak and Neteyam both take a moment to recognize the shadow before dodging out of the way, hot blood cooling from the fight as they quickly moved out of the reef boys' reach. Ao'nung, laughing because he thought they were running scared of him, was the last to see the shadow, only pausing when he noticed his friends looking up and their eyes widen in horror. He isn't given a moment to turn around because something large lands in the shallow water behind him and the force of it drove him to stumble into the wet sand below him. The growling and snarls coming from behind the chief's son send chills down his frame, despite the warm day, as he finally turned his body around to stare up at the beast.
Blocking out the sun above him was a large ikran, light blue with gold lightning running up its figure, cawing loudly as if it had caught a meal. Its wings splash in the water, digging into the sand beneath and cooling off like a tired pa'li. Ao'nung began to crawl away from the ikran by the heel of his hands and feet, breath panting rapidly as the fear took over. The fear didn't lessen even as the ikran's rider dismounted, feet splashing into the beach water, drawing up to their ankles. Ao'nung tried to control his breathing as the rider stood over him, snarling down at the Metkayina boy like he was a bug that was stepped underfoot.
Y/n te Suli Neytiri'ite bore a look of disgust, her bright yellow eyes boring into Ao'nung's very soul. Without looking away from him, she addresses her ikran, her four-fingered hand petting down the side of the beast's neck, "Easy, girl. He's the wrong kind of fish. You can't eat him."
Looking around, the oldest daughter of Toruk Makto demanded answers with a stern tone, acting years older than fifteen, "What's the meaning of this?"
Lo'ak spat blood onto the sand, "They called us freaks."
Blink and you would miss it, but for Ao'nung, who refused to look away in fear of the ikran and her rider, he caught the small shift in Y/n's ears before they reverted back to normal. Her tail twitched, too, and from observation, he realized this was the Forest People's way of showing alertness or agitation.
Kiri had caught onto her sister's shift in behavior as well, her voice cautious, "Y/n..."
"Go home, Kiri. Now." Y/n's voice was flat, rid of emotion as she took charge of the situation, pointing to her twin brother, "'Teyam. Pick that skxawng up and go wash your face."
Neteyam nods dutifully, bending down and grabbing Lo'ak's elbow, the younger boy rolling his eyes at the name-calling. Y/n's eyes narrow at each of the reef boys before directing her gaze at Ao'nung, who stiffens under her close inspection, "As for you... You think it's hard to learn your ways. So why don't you try learning our ways and you can be the judge of that?"
The female Omatikaya gestures to the ikran behind her, one corner of her lips slowly turning up as a challenge, "Go ahead. Make the bond."
In response, Y/n's ikran hissed, fangs bared and jaw open wide. Ao'nung could feel the hot breath of the animal fanning his face and could see down its throat. Suddenly the courage and the teasing had left his body. Eyes still wide, unable to look away, Ao'nung can only swallow down his rapid breathing while Y/n just huffs, unimpressed, "As I suspected. You're not even brave enough to get back on your feet. You wouldn't last ten minutes in the forest, Fish Lips."
Y/n waited until all three of her siblings were walking away before she made the tsaheylu with her ikran and mounted the creature, eyebrows raised while peering down her nose at Ao'nung, "Who's the freak now?"
She had flown away, leaving Ao'nung in the sand, the ocean brushing his legs while his friends stood around, gawking. After returning her ikran to the jungle behind the village, Y/n bounded her way back to the Sullys' marui, internally preparing herself for what her siblings likely told her parents. She was not disappointed as she turned the corner, entering the tent to only find her father waiting for her, her siblings already gone from sight.
"What the hell were you doing back there?" Jake demanded under his breath the moment he saw his eldest daughter.
"What do you mean?"
"Do not try playing dumb with me right now. Your brothers already told me what happened."
"I was humbling Ao'nung." She scoffed, smiling to herself as she mocked the boy not currently present, "He couldn't bond with an ikran even if he tried. They would eat him."
Jake sighed, exhausted beyond his years at her antics as he placed one hand on his hip and the other on his pounding head, "You weren't trying to humble him, Y/n, you were humiliating him. And you knew what you were doing."
She shrugged, "Either way it's a win-win. A bruised ego is a lesson-learned ego. That is, if he's smart enough to actually learn his lesson--"
"That's enough, young lady," Jake spoke sternly, the marine in him making an appearance, "Ao'nung is the chief's son. You either need to get along with him or at the very least respect him."
"And I am Toruk Makto's daughter!" Y/n snapped back, "Maybe respect should go both ways."
"Enough."
The tone drove Y/n to straighten her posture, glaring into the space ahead of her, avoiding her father's gaze as he approached her, "Any more backlash comes out of that smart mouth of yours and you'll be grounded from flying."
Her bottom lip pokes out as she pouts. Jake's eyebrow raises at her reaction and the simple facial movement is all Y/n needs before she mumbles out, "Yes, sir."
"Good. Now get lost." Slouching, she turns to leave.
"Hey..." She turns back to find her father standing there instead of the marine, his features softening into curiosity, "How scared was Ao'nung?"
A grin slowly dawns on Y/n's face, stretching the stardust on her cheeks, "Terrified."
"Atta girl."

It was close to eclipse and both Neteyam and Y/n were flying their ikran, bows in hand, and enjoying a few more laps around the island before they were forced to return to the village. Neteyam makes a hand gesture and instructs his ikran to dive, his twin closely following them on hers.
They land in the jungle, their ikran hooking their claws into the trunks and vines of the vast trees. Breaking the bond, Y/n jumped to one branch and then skillfully climbed down the trunk, Neteyam not far behind her. The twins land gracefully on the forest floor, their conversation cut off midsentence to the sound of a twig snapping. Both of them spin their heads in the same direction they heard the noise, their ears wildly twitching with every little sound they heard. Finally, with bated breath, the figure behind the noise emerged. It was Ao'nung, walking towards them from the direction of the village, a big bruise now sprouting over the right side of his face.
"Does this guy have a death wish or something?" Y/n muttered to her brother, all the while peeking up at her ikran nestled in the trees above her.
"Don't react until we know what he wants," Neteyam advises, leaning his weight onto his bow, acting casual.
A little smug to spite her brother, Y/n called out to Ao'nung as he approached them, "Little far from the reef, are we Fish Lips?"
He doesn't react to the insult other than a small sneer gracing said lips. When he stood still in front of the twins, they both noticed how he was struggling to look them in the eyes. His fingers twitched, trying to find something to do while he muttered, "I did something... some would think dumb."
"Some?"
"Tsmuke." Neteyam hissed at Y/n from under his breath.
Ao'nung continued, ears flattening to the point he looked ashamed of himself, "I brought your brother hunting outside the reef. And..."
"And?" Neteyam urged him to continue.
"And I left him there."
Y/n's head tilts at the same time her pupils shrink and her fangs make an appearance, "You did what?"
"I thought he'd find his way back to the village eventually, but he still hasn't returned. I just wanted to scare him!" Ao'nung defended himself, albeit a bit weakly, his eyes pleading when he finally looked up at stared directly at Y/n, "That's all!"
She huffs a laugh of disbelief through her nose and it sounded irritable. Y/n peered over at Neteyam with narrowed eyes, "I was right, brother. He does have a death wish."
"That's enough, Y/n!" Neteyam keeps a hand out in front of his sister to keep her at bay, then uses that hand to point accusingly at Ao'nung, "And you! We're going to see my father and you're gonna tell him what you told us. Let's go!"
Defeated and preparing for the inevitable, Ao'nung has the decency to at least lower his head in shame, half of his face still swollen from the fistfight so he winced in pain when he pouted. Neteyam moves to lead the three teens out of the jungle and Ao'nung moves to follow him. A hand shoves his arm, however, and the hiss Y/n breathes into his ear as she walked past him was the exact opposite of friendly.
"If my little brother is dead out there because of you, I promise not even Eywa will find whatever is left of you."
The twins had marched Ao'nung to their family's marui, demanding he explains to Jake what he did. After carefully listening, Toruk Makto didn't hesitate to seek out Tonowari and together they start a search party. It was already dark by the time the party set out, carrying tsmisnrr lanterns and other means of light around as they flew around on their tsurak. Neteyam and Y/n even took part in the search, flying their ikran back out after their parents made them promise to stay within sight of the village.
Soon enough, a Metkayina warrior hollers out a warning call, indicating he had found the missing boy. Lo'ak was safely brought back to the village and everyone had gathered around to check on his well-being. Neteyam and Y/n landed in the sand and rushed up to meet with their brother, watching him with their eyes as Jake and Neytiri inspect him for physical wounds. Overall, he appeared unharmed, all the while he glared up at Ao'nung, who had the decency to look ashamed. As the olo'eyktan insisted that his son was to blame for this incident, Lo'ak surprisingly came to Ao'nung's rescue, blaming himself and speaking for the other boy's innocence. Jake was not amused by Lo'ak's method of gaining friends and sent the boy home after berating him for shaming the family. Once alone, both Jake and Neytiri turn to Neteyam.
"Where were you?"
"Yeah, what happened to keeping an eye on your brother?"
"Sorry, sir."
Y/n, always her brother's shadow, stepped up from behind him, appearing in the soft glow of the village lanterns, "No, it was my fault. I asked 'Teyam to come flying with me and hunt." When both parents turned to one another, exchanging a voiceless conversation, Y/n's tail twitched, "You DID say we should always pair up if we ever go flying over open water."
Jake's posture deflated, eyes closed to refrain from getting another headache, "Sweetie--"
"He can't be in two places at once, Dad," the teen girl stated with drooping big eyes and lowered ears, "That's not fair. Instead of relying on your son to look after your kids, how about the parents do it for a change?"
The words stun both the parents and brother, all three staring at Y/n in shock as if she had just grown a second head. Neytiri's shock is the first to shrink in and turn to guilt, bottom lip puckered as she moved to reach out for her daughter. Jake didn't contract whatever sentiment his mate was feeling, however, as his posture stiffened back into a former olo'eyktan and war leader. He pointed an accusing finger at her.
"This attitude, Y/n, wherever it came from, stops now. This rebellious phase is over, young lady."
"Ma Jake." Neytiri's tone was gentle, with a small hint of a threat, as if daring Jake to interrupt her, "She is fifteen. Do you remember what you were like at that age? Although I doubt this personality is not a phase. I believe it is from watching you."
Jake looked back at his mate, scandalized while Neytiri just smiles and places her hand on Y/n's shoulder, "Look at her, Jake. Look at both of them."
He dutifully turned to inspect the twins, both of them staring up at him with identical, pouting eyes that nearly made him cave to anything they asked for when they were little. They kept their hair braided and near their shoulders, aligned with beads much like the hairstyle Neytiri wore when Jake first met her all those years ago. Their tanhì were not identical, Neteyam's forming rounded or lined patterns along his nose and under his eyes while Y/n's appear more scattered on her forehead and down her cheeks like constellations. Neteyam didn't have eyebrow hair, Y/n did. He didn't have an extra finger on each hand, but Y/n did. Both looked like Neytiri, which was easy to see, but Neteyam inherited more Na'vi features from their mother while Y/n definitely inherited the alien features from their father.
Neytiri admired her two oldest children with a fond smile as she reached out to grip her husband's arm, "They are the perfect balance of what we were like. They inherited the best parts of us."
A beat of silence is left between the four of them before Jake relents, unable to look his children in the eyes any longer and waving them away, defeated, "Go rest. Make sure your brother's alright."
"Yes, sir." They both say simultaneously, trying not to appear rushed when they quickly made their exit, beads clinking together as their braids moved while they walked.

The next day, both Neteyam and Y/n were surprised to discover Ao'nung hanging out with Lo'ak willingly, and Lo'ak didn't appear bothered. In fact, the future olo'eyktan didn't seem interested in being anywhere unless with the Sully kids and his sister and Rotxo. He still appeared wary of them, but at least he wasn't insulting them under his breath anymore. At one point in the early afternoon, all the kids huddled around on the rocks by the beach after their chores were done and had asked Lo'ak what happened the night before. He explained how he was attacked by an akula but saved by a tulkun. The reef children doubted his story until Lo'ak gave a brief description of the creature. Tsireya, Ao'nung, and Rotxo were all shocked and explained the horror stories they knew of Payakan, unwilling to believe he could have been friendly to Lo'ak until the young Omatikaya stormed away.
Y/n had listened quietly and waited until she was back in the marui to voice her thoughts while she and her twin were weaving a fishing net together, "He's confusing."
"Who?" Neteyam looked up and caught the knowing look in her eye, "Ao'nung?"
"Yeah. He's acting... nice. He's actually sweet when he's not around the other reef boys."
"Yeah, he acts like he's related to Tsireya." Neteyam chuckled lightly through his nose.
"You think Lo'ak made up with him?"
"I think so. Or maybe some level of respect and understanding has been placed."
"Still. He was cruel." She snarled, willing herself to remember the reef boy up until the day they met him, "I don't understand how Lo'ak could forgive him. He nearly died because of Ao'nung. Kiri was harrassed by him and you guys fought."
Neytiri and Jake both enter the marui and weren't ashamed to admit they were eavesdropping when the Na'vi woman pitched in on the conversation, sitting down in front of her twins to help with the net, "He's likely just starting to warm up to you, maite."
Neteyam grins teasingly, eyebrow ridge raised in his sister's direction while speaking to his mother, "Yeah, her especially. You should see the way he stares at Y/n when she's not looking, sa'nok."
Y/n feels her neck crack when she spun her head to stare at her brother, appalled as he laughed. Obviously, he must be right about Ao'nung staring when she wasn't looking since this was all news to Y/n. Her shock turns into a scowl as she reaches over to push his shoulder, "That's ridiculous. I attacked him with an ikran, ridiculed him in front of his friends, and threatened to tear him to pieces if anything happened to Lo'ak. He's likely planning another way to humiliate me."
Jake was cleaning his gun while they talked but took a moment to side-eye his daughter when she mentioned threatening the life of the chief's son. Y/n only smiled back in response to her father's silent scrutiny, her tail waving behind her with feigned innocence. Jake returned to his weapon while shaking his head, though he didn't hide the small corner of his mouth turning up. Neytiri smiled while watching the interaction, though it didn't reach her eyes. A small wave of sadness embraced her, a harsh reminder that her babies were growing and she could not keep them forever. Soon they'll be old enough to be considered adults once they have fully completed the trials of their Iknimaya, and then they'll be free to choose their mates. The idea of her children teasing each other over innocent little crushes brings both fondness and sadness to Neytiri's mind. Where had the time gone?
She shuffled from her sitting position in order to reach her daughter, pulling a braid out of Y/n's face, "People are cruel when they're faced with something they don't understand, matxe'lan."
"Neytiri, don't you dare try to teach our daughter Ao'nung is mean to her because he likes her," Jake spoke up, finished cleaning his weapon and now looking down the sights of it with a certain reef boy at the forefront of his mind, "That way of thinking never worked on Earth and I'll be damned if I let my children believe that sort of behavior is normal."
"It is true." Neytiri's eyes began to glitter with mischief, "Although if you are anything like your father, you'll likely make a skxawng of yourself when trying to impress someone."
Jake nearly chokes while his twins burst out laughing.

Y/n was disappointed when she was the last of her family to finish chores late in the day, leaving her alone while they were all elsewhere. Tsireya and Rotxo have taken Neteyam, Kiri, and Tuk to the Cover of the Ancestors to show them where their Spirit Tree resided, and Lo'ak disappeared right before then, likely to go meet with his new 'friend'. As for her parents, Y/n was certain they were with Tonowari and Ronal for the day, helping them gather medicinal plants from the jungle. This left Y/n to her own devices, though she didn't have any idea what to do with this newfound freedom, so she started by just casually walking along the beach. She traveled quite a ways, the village now in the distance behind her. The beach was getting thinner to the point where she was surrounded. One side of her held the vast ocean, the other side a dense, deep green jungle. Y/n wondered how long it would take for her to completely walk around the whole island, betting on possibly two days if she did nothing but sleep and walk.
Her thoughts are interrupted by the sound of something breaking through the gentle waves reaching up to the beach, and as her head spins around, her eyes immediately narrow on who was following.
It was Ao'nung, astride a hyper ilu as he himself appeared in a chipper mood, perking up and waving a fin-hand at her, "Hey! Forest Girl! Where are you going?"
"None of your business, Seaweed Brain." Was her immediate response, her internal defenses on high alert. She kept walking away but Ao'nung made sure to keep in stride with her, swimming just close enough to the shore where his ilu wouldn't get beached.
"Well, then let me come with you. Or if you are not actually going anywhere, I can show you a few good spots."
Her head turns back to him, openly skeptical as she pointedly stared at the distant village behind him, "What about your dick friends?"
He flashed her a confused grin, "My what?"
Right. 'Dick' is an alien word. Y/n huffs, rolling her eyes and facing ahead, still walking away, "You know, the pricks you were with while you were harassing my sister. Are they coming, too?"
"Oh. I dropped them."
It was said so casually, but it only confused her more, repeating the words on her own tongue, "You dropped them?"
"I don't like hanging out with them anymore," He shrugged, maneuvering his ilu to drift into deeper waters when it got too shallow, "They're no fun. All they wanna do is annoy everyone."
"And you don't?"
"Ha ha," he replied sarcastically with a deadpanned expression, "Come on, Forest Girl. Do I look like I'm in a position to trick you? I know your ikran is just one call away. I'm not that stupid."
"No?" She feigns surprise even as she slowly enters the water, the ocean greeting her up to her knees. She knew he had a good point and therefore, because of her boredom, decided to humor the reef boy and take up on his offer, "'Could've fooled me. Your stupid enough not to remember my real name."
Ao'nung rolls his eyes, "You don't exactly use my real name either."
One corner of the Omatikaya girl's lips stretches up and she shrugs with one shoulder in a touché motion. Using her tongue to make various clicks and calls, another ilu emerges from the ocean, and Y/n wads over to it, skillfully mounting it and making tsaheylu. Getting situated, she turns to Ao'nung impatiently, "Well? You mentioned a 'good spot'. Let's see it."
His grin wasn't the usual mischievous smile she had grown to correlate with him. It was more genuine and excited, his blue eyes twinkling like when the sun catches the striking blue sea. Y/n blinks in surprise at her own thoughts, quickly shoving them down as she tightens her jaw and her grip on the ilu, stubbornly staring ahead instead of at the boy.
Ao'nung drifted ahead of her, looking back over his shoulder, "Follow me! The best time to see it is at eclipse."
Both he and his ilu dive under the water and with only her thoughts, Y/n holds her breath and wills her ilu to do the same. The scenery vastly changes from land to ocean life, and the beauty below the water doesn't get ignored. Y/n was still fascinated by the ocean, always finding something new and exciting to explore. She dutifully follows Ao'nung and his ilu, smiling at the cute clicks and hums the swimming creatures make to each other. Swimming on an ilu isn't that different from flying on an ikran, only the ikran only have one rider their whole lives. The similarity between swimming in the water and flying in the air is that they both feel like freedom, riding faster than the two young Na'vi could on their own.
It wasn't a long swim, but they had completely lost the village behind them, still following the beach in the opposite direction as Y/n was doing earlier. Eventually, Ao'nung and his ilu rise to the surface, and Y/n follows, greedily gulping down air when she and her ilu breach. As she caught her breath, she looked around, trying to decipher where they were until she follows Ao'nung's gaze, her jaw slowly dropping in awe.
A large shadow had quickly grown over the teens in their approach. Looming above them was a high cliff, connected to the island and facing the open sea. This large rock face was greatly different from the ones Y/n remembered seeing as her family flew away from their home and flew across open seawater. Erosion had eaten its way through the center of the rock face, naturally cutting all the way through the cliff to form a large archway, hundreds of feet above Y/n's head. The only thing connecting the cliff to the rest of the island was the natural bridge made up of stone and plant life at the top of the arch.
"We call this place 'Sänrr Rong,'" Ao'nung explained while watching Y/n's amazed expression, craning her neck to look up at the tall archway, "'The Glow Tunnel.'"
Y/n lowered her head to face Ao'nung, the question on the tip of her tongue before he waves her off, "Wait a moment. You'll see."
And it was perfect timing. Eclipse came upon the pair and before her very eyes, Y/n witnessed a beautiful transformation. As the world darkened, bioluminescent algae began to glow and travel all the way up the inside walls of the rock archway, igniting the tunnel all the way through to the other side of the tunnel. It was so bright against the contrast of darkness that Y/n could look down and see all sorts of ocean life existing below her, an entire ecosystem that lived underneath this archway as she and Ao'nung slowly drifted through it. The water almost looked nonexistent because of how clear it was. The brightness of the arch led all the way down under the water and came back up the other side, surrounding them like a complete circle, giving off the illusion that Y/n and Ao'nung were floating on air, still straddling their peaceful ilu.
Ao'nung softly explains the beautiful sight, not wanting to ruin the illusion for the Na'vi girl, "The waves grow really high in this area, especially during storms. That's why the algae stretch all the way up to the ceiling of the tunnel. My people sing about this place, calling it the 'Doorway to Eywa' in many songs."
"Are we allowed to be here?" She asked, afraid this was a sacred place and as an outsider, she might be overstepping a boundary. This place was way too beautiful for her to be disrespecting it with her presence.
"We're still within the reef. Nothing big swims out here apart from txampaysye. We're safe. Some of the men take time away from the village and come here. Some of them cliff dive." Ao'nung catches a brief scrunch of her nose and eyebrows, an adorable expression if he wasn't trying to figure out her confusion, "You know-- cliff diving?"
Her expression falls into something more blank and impassive, unimpressed as she gestured to herself, "Do I look like I've lived around cliffs?"
He quips back in his own defense, "Do you not have an ikran rookery in the forest?"
"Well, yeah, but all the cliffs in Ayram Alusìng just lead to certain death. We don't have cliffs above water."
Ao'nung's jaw opened in disbelief, eyes bugging out of his skull as if she just told him the most unbelievable news of all time. The shock eventually wears off and is replaced by a shit-eating grin, the mischief she's grown accustomed to finally returning to his smile, "Come on. It'll be fun!"
He moves towards the cliffside and Y/n immediately reaches forward with a hand, words tumbling out, "Maybe some other time. We need to be home soon."
A mocking eyebrow ridge rises as he grins knowingly at her, "Are you sure you're not just scared?"
Her eyes narrow and her ears pin back, unwavering despite the nerves running about in her stomach, "I think you and I have been in enough trouble with our sa'sem as of late."
He relents then with a whiny groan, throwing his head up at the sky before coming back down to earth-- so to speak, "Fair enough."
The reef boy clicks his tongue, the ilu perking up attentively. Ao'nung moves to lead the way back home before he feels a hand briefly grip his arm, "Ao'nung."
He looks up, shocked as his eyes meet Y/n's, blue against yellow. Ao'nung's ilu makes a displeased noise, the creature doing a full-body shudder. Y/n didn't question it, but Ao'nung's gaze turned to the ilu, glaring down at it as if the animal betrayed him in some way shape or form. However, unbeknownst to Y/n, the ilu was only reacting to what it had felt through the bond after Ao'nung's name slipped past her lips. Ao'nung's glare relents after a moment, eyes glancing down at her small, alien hand touching his arm before he bravely glanced back up at her through his lashes.
She smiled, genuinely, like when she first saw the beauty of the archway. The attention sent a thrill up his spine, "Thank you for bringing me here."
His mouth felt dry, the tip of his ears burning but he was certain she couldn't tell in the dark. Perhaps the big ugly bruise her brother left on his face masked the embarrassment. He couldn't stare at her any longer and glanced back in the direction of the village, "You're welcome, Y/n."
Eclipse was over by the time they returned to the village. They had not returned as soon as they left, often finding themselves distracted during their swim home when either Ao'nung splashed her or Y/n chased him around on their ilu. Either way, their mounts weren't irritated, equally playful and mischievous as their riders. The young N'avi pair both felt estranged when they heard the other laugh, but it only egged them on to play around more, wanting to hear their laugh again. By the time they exhausted themselves from playing, they realized how much time had passed and finally returned to the village.
The only problem was that the village seemed tense upon their return. The joy quickly fled from Ao'nung and Y/n's faces, both scared and worried they were in trouble. However, the attention was not on the pair of teenagers, but on the gunship with war paint parked quietly on the bank closest to the Sullys' marui.
Ao'nung grabbed Y/n's shoulder instinctively and pulled her back to him, hissing at the sight of the gunship, "Sky People."
Y/n huffed and shoved his hand away, hope in her eyes with a small smile at the sight of the familiar war paint, "No, not these ones. These ones are loyal to the Na'vi and live among my clan."
Cautious and a little paranoid, Ao'nung only relented a little and eyed her down, "What are they doing here?"
That's where the hope died in her eyes, worry replacing it, "I don't know. I doubt nothing good."
The pair quickly rush to the Sullys' marui, finding a crowd of curious and equally paranoid Metkayina crowding up and down the walkways leading up to Y/n's home, worrying her further. Of course, it's always her family...
The first face she recognized was her twin, surrounded by Lo'ak and Rotxo. She rushed to her brothers with Ao'nung not far behind her, "'Teyam?" Neteyam spun around and his posture visibly relaxed, hand reaching out to gently grab the back of her neck as she looked around, "What's happening?"
"Kiri had a seizure underwater." He answered, eyes briefly glancing to Ao'nung standing behind his sister, taking note of it but not addressing it.
"What?" Y/n's eyes widen, her voice dropping to a whisper, shaking in fear.
"I don't know what happened." Rotxo explained, glancing between the teens who had just arrived, "I've never seen anything like it."
Ao'nung frowned, "Where are my mother and sister?"
"They're on their way. But there's Sky People in there, examining Kiri."
"I told you," Lo'ak addressed the concerned Rotxo, "Max and Norm are our friends. They want to help her."
Ao'nung turned to Y/n, "Aren't you the tsakarem of your clan? You could go to your sister."
Y/n shook her head, pulling Neteyam's hand off her head and squeezing it before letting go, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, "I chose not to be. Either Neteyam will find a mate who can be tsahik one day... or Kiri can do it. She's been more fascinated by it than I. And she had been teaching Tuk a thing or two..."
Y/n's eyes widen as a thought dawns on her, looking around before addressing her brothers, "Where's Tuk?"
"She's with Kiri."
"She shouldn't have to see something like that. She's too little."
Before Y/n could rush to the marui to fetch her baby sister, the tsahik arrived. Ronal glides through the crowds as they part for her, the destination the only thing on her mind. Tsireya walked close behind her with her mother's supplies gathered in her arms, handing them to her before Ronal stepped into the home. Tsireya remained outside, turning back to her group of friends, and managing to catch Y/n by the shoulders before she stepped into the marui.
"Let her work, Y/n. My mother needs the space and there are already plenty of people in there."
"But--"
"Your parents and Tuk are with Kiri," the reef girl spoke gently, smiling with understanding and kindness as she guides Y/n away, "She is not alone, I promise. She'll be alright."
The group of teens keep a reasonable distance away from the marui, sitting or standing around in each other's company as they waited. Tsireya kept Y/n close to her as if she was waiting for the Omatikaya girl to bolt. Meanwhile, Y/n took note that her father had brought Norm and Max out of the home, but her mother, sister, and Ronal were nowhere to be found, and that made her more anxious than before.
Rotxo tried breaking the silence, glancing up at his childhood friend, "So what have you been up to today, Ao'nung?"
Ao'nung, who had his arms crossed while crouched down, glanced up casually, "I went to the Arch today."
"Without me? Not cool, man."
The dig was playful as Ao'nung moved to shove him, "Well, you went to the Cove without me."
Tsireya giggled, "But you hate the Cove, Ao'nung."
Ao'nung's ears pin back and his gaze lowers to the weaving patterns of the walkway below his feet, embarrassed, "I do not."
"Do, too. You think it's boring."
"I wanna see the Cove," Lo'ak perked up, "And the Spirit Tree."
Tsireya practically beamed, ducking her head a little bashfully, "I'll take you next time."
"And me?" Y/n asked, smirking to herself when she watched her little brother's face fall at the idea of her tagging along.
Lo'ak tries brushing his disappointment away with a scoff, "Maybe Ao'nung can take you, sis."
"Or we could all go together," Tsireya offered.
Y/n could tell that Tsireya was just trying to be nice. Well, Tsireya is always nice, but sometimes she's a little too nice. She'll gladly let Y/n come along even if it meant not having as much time with Lo'ak. It was disgusting how obvious those two were. Y/n rolls her eyes jokingly and shakes her head, "Nah. Never liked being a third wheel. You kids have fun."
Lo'ak choked as he tried to form words of disagreement while the other kids laughed and Tsireya's cheeks darken a deeper shade of blue. Finally, Lo'ak managed to form words and they were clearly defensive, "You have never been a third wheel ever in our lives!"
Y/n quirks an eyebrow, "Bro, have you seen Kiri and Spider?"
"That's different! You know they don't like each other that way!"
"What way are you referring to?" Y/n grins wolfishly, tilting her head as Lo'ak realized she had caught him in a web, "And what makes you think I was implying you and Tsireya felt that way?"
As the younger Sully boy sputtered, Neteyam groans a little, nudging Y/n, "Alright, that's enough. Leave him alone or he's going to whine to me later."
"Yeah, Forest Girl," Y/n's eyes dart to the sound of his voice, catching the usual grin plastered on Ao'nung's face, "Let the little ones go. I'll take you to the Cove a different day."
Lo'ak bristled at the words, glaring at Ao'nung, "I take it back, Y/n. You can come with us."

Author's Note: Did I write this so I'd have a reason to call Ao'nung 'Seaweed Brain'? Yes, yes I did. For those who understood the reference I fucking love you.
Also, I don't personally ship Kiri and Spider, I just kind of used the pairing as a foothold for Y/n's brothers to tease her. I think they're cute, and I thought that's originally what James Cameron was going for, but the more I look into it the more I think they just love each other like siblings. In the graphic novel 'The High Ground', Kiri even states that she loves Spider like a brother and Spider doesn't question it. I think he loves her like an older sister because she protects him against other Na'vi (Neytiri) and she sticks up for him. She makes him feel like he belongs, hence why he chose her over Quaritch. Also, Kiri is played by Sigourney Weaver. I don't feel comfortable shipping two characters whose actors have zero chemistry and have a huge age gap. Clearly, I think their relationship will build up to something in the upcoming movies (Kiri uses her Eywa powers to grant Spider a kuru braid and he'll be able to breathe Pandoran air without a mask) but I don't think it'll have anything to do with romance.
That's my personal take on it. No hate to Spider/Kiri shippers. I know not everyone ships certain pairings and hates others because of their opinions and that's not what I was doing. I support Kiri/Spider shippers through and through. I also support Neteyam/Spider shippers (lowkey kinda cute) and Lo'ak/Spider shippers (also lowkey cute). Personally, I ship Ao'nung/Neteyam and I know people are going to hate me for that. But I don't hate people for shipping who they want.

Years had passed since Chris left your small town to pursue his dreams in South Korea. The world had known him as a rising star, a beacon of talent and charisma leading Stray Kids to fame and success. But to you, he was still the same old Chris, the boy with endless dreams and an infectious smile.
You were lounging on your couch, scrolling through your phone when a message pops up. 
Chris: Hey, you there?
You: Yeah, what's up?
Chris: I'm back in town for a break. Let's catch up over dinner tonight?
You: Definitely! It's been ages since we hung out. Where do you want to go?
Chris: How about that burger joint we used to love?
You: Sounds good! See you there at 7?
Chris: Perfect! Can't wait to see you!
You grin, excited to see Chris after so long. Memories of your mischievous adventures flood back as you head to the burger joint.
As you arrive, Chris is already there, leaning against the wall, looking as cool as ever.
"Hey, stranger!" you exclaim, approaching him.
He grins, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Hey, you! Long time no see."
You both settle into a booth, exchanging stories and laughing like old times.
"So, how's life as a K-pop star treating you?" you ask, taking a big bite of your burger.
Chris rolls his eyes playfully. "Oh, you know, the usual. Dance practices, fan meetings, and dodging crazy rumors."
You chuckle. "Must be tough being an international heartthrob."
He shrugs. "Eh, someone's gotta do it."
Throughout dinner, you reminisce about your childhood antics, from building forts to pulling pranks on neighbors.
"Remember the time we tried to skateboard down that steep hill and ended up in the bushes?" Chris laughs, shaking his head.
"How could I forget? We were lucky we didn't break any bones," you reply, laughing along.
As the night wears on, you realize how much you've missed Chris's company. Despite his fame, he's still the same goofball you grew up with.
During dinner, in between bites of burgers and sips of soda, Chris leans in and asks about your life.
"So, what have you been up to, besides stalking me on social media?" he teases, a playful glint in his eyes.
You chuckle, taking a sip of your drink before replying, "Oh, you know, the usual grind. Work, family stuff, trying not to embarrass myself too much."
Chris nods, genuinely interested. "How's work treating you?"
You shrug. "It's been busy, but I can't complain. Pays the bills, you know."
He nods sympathetically before his expression brightens with curiosity. "And what about your family? How's everyone doing?"
You smile, glad to share. "They're good, thanks for asking. Mom's still the same old mom, doting on everyone. Dad's busy with his projects, and my sister's off on her own adventures."
Chris nods along, listening intently. Then, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, he leans in a little closer. "So, any special someone in your life? Or are you still single and ready to mingle?"
You roll your eyes, but there's a hint of laughter in your voice. "Oh, you know me, Chris. Still navigating the treacherous waters of singledom."
He laughs, giving you a knowing look. "Well, if you ever need a wingman, you know who to call."
You both share a laugh, the easy banter flowing between you like it always has.
As the conversation continues over dinner, you can't help but inquire about Chris's fellow Stray Kids members.
"So, how are your kids?" you ask, genuinely interested in catching up on his bandmates.
Chris's eyes light up as he talks about each member, sharing anecdotes and updates about their lives and careers. He laughs as he recounts their latest shenanigans during practice and on tour, painting a vivid picture of the bond they share.
"They're all doing great, still causing chaos wherever they go," he chuckles, a fondness evident in his voice.
Then, with a playful smirk, you decide to turn the tables on him. "So, Chris," you begin, raising an eyebrow playfully, "what's the deal with you? Any lucky lady catching your eye these days, or are you still playing the field?"
Chris chuckles, running a hand through his hair before settling back in his seat. "Ah, the eternal question," he quips, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes. "As for my relationship status, let's just say I'm enjoying the single life for now."
You nod, understanding his stance. Being in the spotlight can undoubtedly complicate matters when it comes to romance.
"And what about all that flirting with fans?" you prod, unable to resist teasing him a bit. "Are you just a professional heartthrob, or is there more to it than meets the eye?"
Chris laughs, his grin widening. "Ah, you caught me," he admits, his tone light but genuine. "Flirting with fans is all part of the game, you know. It's about connecting with them, making them feel special. But at the end of the day, it's all in good fun."
You nod, appreciating his honesty. Being a K-pop idol comes with its own set of rules and expectations, after all.

Suddenly moving away from a place you've grown up at makes you feel very sad. A ton of memories left behind because your mom's boss thought transfering your mom from one branch of her company to the other would just be no hassle at all. Now, you and your dad can never survive without her and so the logical decision was to move away.
And unlike your parents, you were very excited for new things. It was not that they werent excited, but they were a lot more worried than they were excited.
The result of your mom's worries was that you would be going to give your neighbour an apple pie 'to get on their good side' as your mom claims. After her stumbling across the kitchen, getting mad at your dad for forgetting to buy certain stuff and making sure the pie looked absolutely perfect, you were on your way to deliver it to your new neighbour. (i mean youre new here but they're still new people to you..)
On the way to the house beside yours, you noticed a matte black bike standing in the doorway of said house. And one of the things you're obsessed to is pretty bikes (just anything pretty in general ) and you were definitely going to rant about this to your mom.
You knocked on the door, but what you were not expecting was for a half naked guy around your age to open the door. And he was so handsome.
Despite your face turning a concerning shade of red - because did you mention he had a such a toned torso? - you introduced yourself, "Hi. I just moved next door. My name is ___. Ni-" before you could even finish your sentence, your stupidly handsome neighbour cut you off with a teasing smile, "So you're the pretty girl from yestrday, huh?" he said, probably mentioning you moving your stuff. 
His eyes suddenly shifting lower noticing your ruffled skirt, okay maybe that wasnt a good idea but he wasn't looking at you in a creepy way so it was fine you thought.
Desperately trying to change the topic you said, "My mom made an apple pie and she wanted to share it with our new neighbours." You didn't mention his parents, incase he lived alone and you looked like an idiot. He muttered out a 'thank you' and took the pie from you. The whole atmosphere suddenly turning too awkward to bear.
In hopes of starting a conversation, you said, "Is that bike yours," he nodded, maybe you were also going to give him a lecture on how dangerous it is, "its so cool." Sunghoon was going to sound like such a loser but maybe it was because you are the first girl who had something good to say about his bike (his baby), or maybe the way your eyes twinkled when you looked at the bike and he knew you were being genuine with your compliment. Park Sunghoon wanted to kiss you so bad in that moment.
And he decide he was going to shoot his shot, and not care if he would appear desperate. You were too pretty to regret. 
Reluctantly looking away from your lips he said, "How rude of me. My name is Sunghoon. You're new in this area right? How about we hangout sometime? You know, so i can tell you who to avoid," he said taking a step closer to you, suddenly the distance between you two seeming too small for mere strangers, "and who you should be close to." he said, with that same teasing smile.
You felt like you were in a daze, his naked chest suddenly so close to your red face. You took a step back and realized a little too late that there was no ground beneath your feet. But just in time Sunghoon put his arms around your waist preventing you to fall flat on your ass.
"Careful there, we dont want you injured before the date, do we?" This guy and his smile were going to be the death of you.
"Huh? What... Date?" you asked, bewildered at what was unfolding.
"You heard me. Here-" he said, taking his hands off your waist (finally‼️) and handing you his phone, "put in your number."
Not knowing what to say, you wordlessly put in your number. Well what were you supposed to say? No?? To such a handsome guy?
You gave him back his phone and you saw him putting a little heart beside your name (this one ♡︎).
"See you then." he said, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear.
As you were walking back home and reached the gate of your house, you curiously looked to see if Sunghoon had went inside. But he was still there, half naked, leaning on the doorframe, holding the pie. With that damn smile.
Your face burning up again (it should be permanently red by now) as you almost ran to your front door.
Moving away wasn't such a hassle, especially if your neighbour was so hot.

“Ah? Good morning, little Kazui.” Ms. Y/n smiled as she waved at him.
To Katsuki, it seems like Kazui and his teacher is a lot closer. Well, after what he heard from his son, he has no doubt that they were indeed close.
“Hi, Ms. Y/n!” Kazui ungrasped Katsuki’s hand and immediately ran towards Ms. Y/n with an open arms.
Ms. Y/n on the other hand knelt at Kazui’s size and captures the enthusiastic child in her arms, embracing him. “How are you, my dear?” She asked as she let go and ruffle Kazui’s hair.
“I’m good, Ms. Y/n! Look! Papa drop me off today!” Kazui excitedly pulled Ms. Y/n towards his papa who was still watching them interact.
Now that she saw Kazui's dad. He does look like the number 2 Pro Hero Dynamight. Why she doesn't realize it sooner? Y/n thought to herself. She must be blind.
Once they got closer to Katsuki, Ms. Y/n bowed to Katsuki who was caught off guard. "Thank you for keeping us safe, Mr. Dynamight." She said and straightened her posture, giving Katsuki a smile.
"Papa, this is Ms. Y/n, the one I'm talking about!" Kazui gleamed at Katsuki.
Katsuki had to keep his cool when Ms. Y/n smiled at him. “It’s my job.” He said tching and looking away as redness slowly crept its way to his cheeks. “Thank you for taking care of Kazui.” He added, mumbling.
“It is my pleasure, Mr. Dynamight!” Ms. Y/n clasped her hands together smiling softly at Katsuki. “Kazui is such a sweetheart. I don’t mind taking care of him, honestly.”
“Hear that? I’ve been good!”
Both adult looked at the almost forgotten Kazui.
“I know, brat. Now go inside.” Katsuki said.
Kazui gave his papa a hug before running inside, laughing with his friends who approached him.
“Is it true that you’ve been taking care of him?” Katsuki is now serious. This is a serious subject especially now that he found out his parents are occupied as well. That means anytime now, they won't be able to help him.
“Mr. Dyna-
“Bakugou.”
“Ahem. Mr. Bakugou, I’m quite sure that Kazui has mentioned you what I have been doing while your parents wasn’t able to pick him up on time.” Ms. Y/n said with a serious face as well.
“I did. I thought everything’s fine. Old hag didn’t mention this to me at all.” Katsuki scowled staring into the distance. “I was too busy with my job as well. I didn't even noticed this..”
“I understand your job, Mr. Bakugou. And I also hope you didn't mind. Kazui mentioned that he doesn't have a mother.” Hearing her say this, Katsuki’s scowl deepened.
“Blabbermouth brat.” He mumbled.
Ms. Y/n was able to catch what Katsuki said and just sweat drop with an awkward smile. “Anywho, if it's a sensitive topic, we can just drop it.” Ms. Y/n said as her smile turn into a genuine one.
“It's fine. It's not like anyone doesn't know. The media fucking tells everything.” Katsuki turned away putting his other hand in his pocket.
Usually, when it comes to this topic, Katsuki would turn them down or won't even say a word. But right now? It seems like Kazui’s teacher is someone he can trust. Of course, the media doesn't know the details about Kazui’s mother or how she left. But as of today, he felt like she needs to know seeing that she appears to be a kind and gentle type of person. But Katsuki knew that giving your trust easily could lead to something dangerous. So just like what he usually does, he stayed quiet.
“Indeed.” Ms. Y/n chuckled.
Fuck, why was it like music to his ears.
“It's nice talking to you, Mr. Bakugou.” She said. “I wouldn't mind taking care of Kazui more knowing that you are busy. As well as his grandparents.” Before heading inside the school, Ms. Y/n fishes something out of her pocket and hands it to Katsuki. “If anything happens about Kazui. I’ll let you know. This here is my personal number.” She smiled. “I used to be a babysitter as well, all because of my quirk. If you decided and look for one, I’m available.”
Katsuki stared at the calling card handed to him. He took it, shoving it inside his pocket and walked away without saying a word.
“Have a great day, Dynamight.” Ms. Y/n called waving at him and entering the premises.
Katsuki went into his car and sat there for a good minute before starting the engine and driving off. Along the way, he took the card with his other hand while the other held the steering wheel. He inspects it for a moment before reading the name.
Name: Ms. (Your Name) (Last Name)
Age: 23
Quirk: Healing
And the back of the card shows her old job which she brought up being a babysitter.
Katsuki put the calling card back inside his pocket and focuses on driving. It seems like a good idea for him, at least.
When he reached his office, he immediately got into his Hero suit and headed out for his patroling. There he met up with Kirishima who was busy talking to a fan.
“Oi.” Katsuki called out.
Eijirou looked at him and grinned. “Ey! Bro! Didn't expect we have the same shift!” Eijirou bid his fan goodbye before he made his way to Katsuki who was standing still.
“How’s the kid going?” Eirijou initiated as they both started walking and looking around.
“Fine,” Katsuki grumble. “Fucking brat is a blabbermouth.” He added.
“Eh?” Eijirou questioned. “What do you mean?”
“Tch. Brat blabber about not having a mother to his teacher.” Katsuki said as he watches his surrounding.
“I’m sure the teacher was also aware since the media kinda put it on news. Everyone knows that at this point.” Eijirou said looking at Katsuki.
Eijirou received quietness in response. He keeps his gaze on Katsuki who looks like was in deep thought.
“Did you even tell Kazui what happened?” Eijirou looks worried now.
“He’s too fucking young to know his mom left us without anything.” Katsuki lashed out at Eijirou.
Eirijou knew what Katsuki meant. He was simply protecting his child from the pain of what his ex-wife did. At first, the thought of Katsuki being a father doesn’t suit him at all. But when he witnessed how devoting father Katsuki, it took him by surprised on how someone can change.
He saw how Katsuki got home tired but still willing to spend time with Kazui.
Believe it or not. He did once had to babysit Kazui due to Katsuki going on a mission, and his parents wasn’t in the country at that time. Kazui was 5 years old that time, and him, being good with kids. He handled him with ease. At a young age, Eijirou saw Kazui getting worried about his father’s well-being. He saw Kazui crying whenever he misses his papa. He even saw him getting quiet because Katsuki wasn’t around. He had to ensure him Katsuki is a great hero. Which he is! And when Katsuki got home, he saw how Katsuki embrace his child.
As his best friend, Eijirou hates seeing Katsuki helpless, even though he's aware he won't admit it. What Katsuki didn't know was Eijirou looking for his ex-wife, secretly.

Ever since her sight was brutally taken away, Jia had weird dreams. She knew they weren't even her dreams, they belonged to other people and she was just an intruder. The first time it happened, it was her father's dreams. She saw just how much the weight of her mother dying and Jia's sight being taken took a toll on him.
But the dreams she entered the most were of a young girl around her age who said her family called her XiuXiu.
"My mom and dad told me not to talk to strangers," was one of the first things she ever said to Jia, so she gave her the nickname because she wasn't supposed to trust strangers.
So instead of introducing herself as Jiaying, she just told her, "My name's Jia."
But because Jia was in her dreams so frequently, XiuXiu became more trusting of her overtime. Jia didn't know it, but XiuXiu would tell her family of her "dream friend" who her parents just chalked up to being an imaginary friend that XiuXiu had come up with.
The two girls became close. Jia would help her with her worries if she was having a bad dream, or they would just talk together in whatever setting XiuXiu would come up with in her head.
"Are you actually real?" XiuXiu asked out of the blue one night.
Jia had been insisting since the beginning that she was a real person, but all she did was hum and nod in response.
"How can you be here if you're real?"
Jia looked at XiuXiu seriously, "Can I tell you a secret?"
XiuXiu nodded quickly, eyes growing wide with curiosity.
As if anyone else could be around to hear, Jia leaned toward her friend and whispered, "My dad's a werewolf."
XiuXiu's eyes widened, and Jia feared she scared her friend. She already knew the stigma surrounding werewolves. She knew her dad's secret was supposed to be just that: a secret.
But instead, XiuXiu formed a bright, excited smile on her face as she exclaimed, "I have an uncle who's a werewolf!"
Then Jia was smiling too because she had a friend who also had werewolves in her family, "Really?"
"My mom says they're just cousins but they're close so I call him uncle," she explained without even being asked. She continued to excitedly babble, apparently obsessed with this werewolf uncle of hers. "I don't see him too often because he lives with his pack but he visits sometimes and gives me gifts. Sometimes he writes me letters, too. Ooh, and he has a really cool power! Does your dad have a power?"
"He can read thoughts," she nodded.
"But wait!" XiuXiu suddenly exclaimed, looking at Jia with furrowed eyebrows. "If your dad's a werewolf how come you have dream powers?" She then gasped like she realized something and leaned in closer, whispering, "Are you a werewolf?"
She giggled and shook her head, "My dad says kids can't be werewolves. He also said girls don't really get to be werewolves. But I dunno, I got a power from him somehow. Or maybe it was the witch..."
"A witch?!" XiuXiu leaned far away from Jia, eyes wide with fear.
XiuXiu became Jia's only friend, essentially. She could tell her anything about her life with no issue because XiuXiu was just in her dreams. There was nobody for her to tell all of this to and get her in trouble, and even if she did tell anyone, she knew she'd be safe because her family had werewolves, too -- and they seemed to still like her uncle despite him being a werewolf.
"Some werewolves get pushed out by their families," her dad had explained to her before.
She knew the fear surrounding werewolves, and she knew hunters would come and kill anyone associated with werewolves. She knew her even living with her father was a risk, but it was one she didn't think much about because only few people knew his secret, and they were people her dad had trusted for years.
But somehow, word got out to the wrong people.
In the middle of a dream with XiuXiu, Jia disappeared. She was awoken by her father as he ran her over to the neighbor's house, giving them money to take her far, far away. She was only half awake, but she still vividly remembered her father's tearful goodbye before he sent her off with the neighbors before the hunters arrived.
She never saw XiuXiu after that, and she never even learned her real name to track her down.
Once she moved to the orphanage, there were only awful dreams to wander into. Most of the kids were sad and lonely. Sometimes they would dream of nice things, which only saddened them when they awoke. Jia tried to help, but some of the kids bullied her the next day because they found it weird for her to appear in their dreams. They didn't know it was her doing, they just didn't like that she kept appearing. Even though they knew there was no way it could be in her control, they blamed her, anyway.
Her only friend, June, finally proposed the idea to run away and get their own place, and that was when things finally turned around.
Her first night sleeping in The Capitol, the pair slept in an alleyway underneath a cardboard box. Their plan was to find a place with the money Jia's father left her the next morning, but they had to wait until then.
And it was that night, sleeping in cardboard, that Jia met Minghao.
She sensed distress, and despite her track record with trying to help those with bad dreams, Jia wandered there anyway. What she found was a figure on their knees with their back to her, sobbing loudly in a sunny, beautiful clearing. The grass was to her shins and a pretty green, and there were lilacs scattered throughout the grass. The sun was warm and bright, and Jia wondered how somebody could be crying in such a happy-looking place.
The figure -- she assumed it was a male -- was kneeling in front of a stone that stood above the grass. The rock was just a rock, but she could tell it had some significance considering the person was crying so hard in front of it.
Slowly, she walked forward. Almost immediately, the person whipped around.
It was, in fact, a man. His red eyes immediately told her what he was, but she didn't back away. She stopped where she was, but she showed no signs of fear. More like surprise.
His eyes were bloodshot and puffy, his skin streaked with tears. But the red in his eyes suddenly faded into a warm gold, and the glare he shot her softened as his eyes went wide.
Jia felt it, too. It wasn't as strong, but she knew what it was. Her parents told her their love story a hundred times because it was her favorite bedtime story.
"Who are you?" he asked in a shaky voice as he wiped under his eyes.
"Wu JiaYing," she stated softly. "People call me Jia."
"What-- How are you here?" he continued. She could tell he was becoming more distressed now that the shock was wearing off. She was his mate and she appeared in a dream that wasn't supposed to be real. It probably sparked a lot of questions, confusion, and panic. Did that mean she wasn't real? "What are you?"
Slowly, she walked toward him. He stayed in place, even as she knelt down only a few inches from him. She tentatively placed her palm against his cheek, and he leaned into it, eyes closing from the comfort it gave him.
"What's your name?" she asked him, ignoring his other questions.
"Minghao," he exhaled with a shaky breath. She could tell he wanted to cry again. "Xu Minghao."
"Minghao," she hummed with a soft smile. He almost purred hearing his name come from her lips. "I promise I'll tell you everything next time I see you. For now, let me help you."
His eyes opened, and they were filling with tears all over again as he sniffled, "It's just a dream. There's hardly a chance I'll ever see you again."
"I promise, Minghao," she gave him a warm smile, "you will see me again."

Kid Percy Weasley headcanons!!!??
Ooh, I actually wrote something with kid!Percy a long time ago (and just cross-posted it to A03 on my other account) called Doughnuts. (As a warning though, I don't suggest looking through that username for other kid!Percy stories - I have some weird and dark stuff on there 🤣🤷)
My Kid!Percy Weasley Headcanons:
Percy loved reading, but since there were no libraries in the wizarding world (and the Weasleys couldn't afford a lot of books), he ended up reading his mom's books, including her diet books, the household dictionary, and even her smutty romance novels (much to her horror when she realized it after he innocently described someone as "trembling in pleasure" because he didn't understand the context).
The twins demanded that Percy read them a bedtime story every night, because Percy was the only one who would use different voices for each character.
Percy was also the only one who could always tell Fred and George apart, but sometimes he would pretend that he couldn't, because the twins would laugh really hard when they thought they tricked him.
Out of all the Weasley children, Percy was left the most confused by the First Wizarding War. By the time it ended, the twins were only 3, so they didn't remember it at all (neither did Ron or Ginny), and Bill and Charlie were 11 and 9, so their parents explained more of what was happening. Percy was 5, so he remembers it, but he didn't understand it at the time and he was still pretty young, so all he remembers is feeling afraid, and his mom crying when his uncles left and never came back, and his mom being very serious when she repeated the rules over and over again (”stay quiet”, “go hide if someone knocks on the door”, “don't let your siblings cry too loudly”). That was when Percy’s anxiety started, and it was also why he liked to have a clear set of rules, because it made him feel safer and more secure.
Percy got compared to Bill a lot, by almost everyone. They were similar in appearance and intelligence, so most adults would make comments about the two of them, which is why Percy felt so much pressure to live up to Bill’s achievements with his OWLS and being a prefect/Head Boy. 
He tried to sneak onto the Hogwarts Express when Charlie left for his first year of Hogwarts, because he felt like he was ready too, but he was caught before it left the station. The twins were so mad at him for trying to leave them that they didn't talk to him for a week.
Percy was actually pretty good friends with Cedric. Cedric lived nearby, and their parents got along well, so they saw each other on a fairly regular basis. Even though Cedric was closer in age to the twins, they were usually a little too intense for him (as an only child, he wasn't used to so much chaos, and it was a little intimidating), so Cedric clung to Percy instead, because Percy was quiet but nice to him, and he always played with Cedric without acting like he was too cool/too old for it. Percy even wrote to Cedric after he started Hogwarts to tell him all about it. That was partially why Cedric wanted to become a prefect when he got to Hogwarts, and after he got the position in his 5th year, Percy was the first person he told, and Percy was super proud of him.
Percy once helped Charlie sneak a niffler into the Burrow and kept it hidden for several weeks before their mom found out (it was after Bill left for Hogwarts but before Charlie was old enough, so the two of them spent a little more time together, and Charlie convinced him to keep the secret). Their mom’s jewelry kept going missing, and she kept accusing the twins before she finally caught the niffler in the act.
When Percy first got his glasses, he was excited because he looked like his dad, but then Bill made an offhand comment about “tough luck - glasses are lame" (because he was an angsty teen), and Percy hated wearing them after that.
Percy actually loved playing quidditch with his siblings, because it was one of the only times that he really felt like he belonged with all of them, and he was actually a fairly good Chaser. He never wanted to play on the Gryffindor team, but he still played at home until his 5th year, when he started to focus more on being a prefect and his OWLS.
Percy helped his mom cook/make lunch and dinner all the time, but not breakfast because he actually hated getting up early, and he usually only woke up when the twins started jumping on his bed. 
Some of these extended beyond kid!Percy... Oops. Sorry! 🤣

Rainy night in Hawkins - part 2

"Would you like another piece of cake?"
"Thank you, but I'm so full. It was so delicious I ate way too much of everything!"
Your mom smiled at Steve, thanking him for the compliment. He'd been funny and charming all evening - even Jamie, your little brother, had enjoyed listening to him, despite the age gap. And you had kept staring at him till you reminded yourself to stop or he would notice.
"Can I go play in my room now?" Jamie asked, as he snuck some food to Lilly, who was sitting beside his chair.
"Stop that, she still has food in her bowl. And no, you need to help with the dishes." Your dad sounded kind but firm, so you were surprised at what Steve said next.
"Actually, Mr. Y/L/N… I'd like to help with the dishes."
Your mom looked like she was going to have a stroke at somebody offering to help with the task everybody in the house hated, but immediately regained her composure. "Of course not, Steve, that's very nice of you to offer but you're our guest!"
"Oh, I don't mind at all. Y/N will help me and we'll be done in no time. It's the least I can do after you treated me to such a great dinner." Steve winked at you and you half-cursed him for bringing you into it, half-melted at the way he was so attractive.
Once your parents had left you alone in the kitchen, you found that doing dishes with Steve wasn't so bad after all. The two of you made small talk throughout and when you were finally done you had an idea. "We rented a movie yesterday, but ended up not watching it. If you wanna stay a bit longer…" you trailed off, staring at him. Part of you wanted to reach over and kiss him so badly, but you also knew you couldn't ruin your friendship.
"What movie?"
"A Nightmare on Elm Street."
"Sounds cool! Won't your parents mind if I stay?"
"Oh please. You've seen the way my mom treats you, and my dad enjoys your dumb jokes too, for some reason."
"My jokes are great!" He pretended to be offended, but it only lasted a second as Lilly came into the kitchen and started nudging his hand, wanting attention. He knelt down to stroke her fur and Lilly tried to lick his face. Lucky dog, you thought, as you grabbed something to drink for the two of you and headed to the living room.

"Scared yet?"
"No way." You were determined not to let Steve know that the movie was getting to you, but you were definitely getting frightened.
Your parents had had no intention of watching a horror movie, and your brother was too young, so that left the two of you and Lilly on the sofa - she had managed to occupy almost half of it and rested her head on Steve's legs, where it currently was, still. You almost felt offended that she seemed to prefer him to you.
You glanced at Steve out of the corner of your eye. He seemed relaxed, and you felt like an idiot for getting so worked up over a dumb movie. Why did I rent this? I should have picked The Outsiders. Or Karate Kid. Or Footloose. How am I even gonna sleep alone tonight?
Without realizing, you had shifted a bit closer to Steve on the sofa and your shoulders were almost touching. You got distracted for a second by the fragrance of his shampoo, it smelled nice and familiar, you wondered if it was the same one you used but there's no way Steve Harrington would wash his hair with Fabergé Organics…
Suddenly, he wrapped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you closer to him. "Don't be scared. Compared to what we faced the past couple of years, this is nothing." he said softly.
You could have died.
You tried to say something, but the gruesome scene on the screen was too much and you instinctively hid your face against Steve's chest.
And then you felt like an idiot. He didn't like you the way you liked him; what was the point of making a fool out of yourself in front of him?
"Sorry…" you moved away, almost to the other side of the sofa, and brought your legs close to your chest. Your heart was still pounding.
"For what?" he murmured, turning to look at you.
"For being a child. I know this shouldn't scare me. It's not real. The demogorgons were. Everything we saw was real. Not this."
"You're not a child, Y/N. Before… before all that, I couldn't stand horror movies either, you know. I guess it only changed because after I had to use a spiked bat on some monsters I got a bit braver." he was only half joking, you could tell.
"You are brave."
Steve turned to look at you again. You couldn't tell for sure because the lights were off, but he looked happy. "You think so?"
"Yeah. So don't put yourself down." You watched him grin and you immediately added: "Don't let that go to your head, Harrington. I'm just being a good friend here."
There was silence for a bit, then, and you had gone back to focusing on the movie when Steve spoke up. "We are friends, right?"
"Of course…" you slowly said, glancing at him. He looked pensive, staring at the screen as if he wasn't really taking it in.
"Just friends?"
He slowly turned his head toward you, and you froze. You didn't know what he meant. You couldn't seriously believe Steve liked you back. It would have been too good to be true. You'd never been that lucky. But he was inching closer and closer and his lips looked so kissable, and he was staring at your lips, too, and then-
Before you knew it, he was kissing you. Softly, gently, as if he was worried you would slap him. When he parted, with a slight frown, he obviously couldn't tell what was on your mind because he hastened to apologize. "I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have, I thought-"
You cut him off with another kiss, and the two of you quickly deepened it this time. His arms wrapped around you and you mimicked his movements, and you ran a hand through his hair that you loved so much, and didn't part until you both were out of breath.
"Wow." he murmured, looking star-struck. "That was…"
"A really great kiss." you finished for him, smiling.
"I hope your parents don't come to check on us anytime soon," he added, and gently placed his hands on your cheeks, kissing you again.

Considering how it's implied the shop became a centerpiece for establishing fire town it probably has a lot of historical significance now. Kindlin came to visit to have something close to an authentic fire land experience. Hazel and the family were visiting for a week to help take care of ember's parents. it would be funny to think Kindlin isnt sure at first if Hazel likes Cirrus because they hung out a lot to share tips and experiences. Shes just like "lol no"
Ohh yes! So she walked in looked around at all the snacks and toys until she saw the blue flame and walked over to just look at it. She probably didn't have one in her family because I'm thinking it might've gone out by accident and they were too ashamed to ask someone to share theirs. I like the idea of them meeting at the blue flame. It really does connect people
She sees Hazel making a small offering and is fascinated and a little confused to see an "air" element praying to it
Kindlin is definitely confused but has learned to mind her own business. She probably makes an offering and then maybe they bump into each other after
"Oh sorry- hey it's you! I saw you make an offering to the flame." She helps Hazel back up. "Do air elements pray to it often?"
"oh not really but I'm not-" Suddenly Ember calls her over to help cinder and when Hazel calls her Ashka it clicks
She then sees the water guy who'd opened the door for her and greeted her in broken firish kiss her forehead and her mind is just slightly blown
She's probably never met mixed elements before so is very intrigued by this She kinda just watches from afar, pretending to look at the candy. She's a little hesitant to just go up and start asking questions. She eventually goes to the counter and since she's closer to Hazel she curiously asks "Is that your Dad??" Points at Wade.
" oh hey! Sorry we got cut off before, yeah that's him. Wait did he say something weird to you with the door? I'm so sorry we're both still learning the language"
She shook her head. "Honestly the language isn't my strong suit either. So no worries." She smiled and took out one of the candies she just bought. "You busy? I got a lot of this, if you wanna share. You seem cool"
"you know I think my dad said something about not taking candy from strangers butttttt you seem cool too"^^ It could be traditionally spicy candy and Hazel just poofs right then and there. "oh flame I killed her"
Kin walks out like "I didn't do it byyye"
"who were you talking too puffball?" "I don't know, but I hope she comes again soon"
I can see Kindlin coming back the next day to get some more candy and give another offering She also kinda hopes to run into that nice girl again Hazel was probably the first person her age that she hung out with for a while so she's eager to hang out again if given the chance
Hazel at this point hasn't transitioned but has started presenting more feminine. her "weird mannerisms" already left her without a lot of friends so she's excited to see her too
Kindlin has no idea lol just sees a cool girl who probably needs friends as much as her
After a week of hanging out at the shop neither one wants to talk about how they're leaving soon. Only to realize they were both visiting and live nearby back at the city. At first it wasn't that weird for kindlin to show up to the shop alone a lot of fire kids go in by themselves since they live nearby and the community is like a family. But the fact that they've still not seen her mom around is more than a little strange
She starts getting in the habit of swinging by everyday to grab a snack and go skateboarding around the area until it gets dark Just waiting to see if her friend might visit again Not like she had anything else to do
She adds a little section for kindlin to read whenever they send letters back to Bernie and cinder.

I've owned this book for years now, but I don't remember getting it. There's no price tag on the book, and it's got a bend on its front cover, plus it's somewhat worn down. I assume I got it as a hand-me-down from my sister, or otherwise from the same box of books as Beloved Benjamin is Waiting. I decided to read it because I wanted a short book I could read before the month was over.
The premise is that preteen Meg Korshak has dreams of the future, both good and bad, and she can't control what happens or when. She feels that she can't tell anybody about them for fear that nobody would believe her, so she suffers in silence. Unfortunately, everything boils over when her parents split and her dad moves away to pursue a career in writing and she them has a future-telling nightmare that she can't prevent, so she has to constantly be on the lookout for when it happens.
I have to preface by saying I know this was a book for kids, and that's why I know that maybe I'm being too harsh on it, especially knowing it was written in the 80s. That said... well, it wasn't my favorite book.
I didn't like a lot of things, like how Meg didn't tell on her friend, Gracie, to the teacher at the museum, or how she and Gracie didn't reconcile in the end, or how Meg's grandmother didn't stay longer and talk to Meg more about the prophetic dreams, but I guess the length of the book (149 pages) was a detriment to it and didn't give much room for padding like that.
I thought it was interesting, how Meg's father left to pursue his passion for writing; I don't see that being the reason s couple split very often even now. I also enjoyed Meg's new neighbor, Rhoda, though I thought it would've been nice if she were older, closer to her brother Bill's age. She was so wise and unbothered that it seemed strange for her to be the same age as Meg.
I thought it was cool how the prophetic dreams were inherited from mother to daughter through Meg's father's side and I wish we had explored that more often, just like I wish her grandmother could've stayed longer and talked with her more about it.
It was nice that Meg told Billy and Rhoda her secret in the end, but I think it should've happened sooner, at least with regards to telling her brother, especially with how close they are. I can understand she was nervous because of when her father warned her against it - which, side note, why did he dislike the idea of it? Did he have bad memories of it in regards to his mom and grandmother, maybe? Why did he dislike it so much? - but hadn't her brother proven himself to her? I guess the trauma (if it can be called that) would explain it all, but still...
In the end, it was disappointing how there were a lot of "almost there" ideas that didn't quite come to fruition. Meg realizing Gracie put so much stock in Linda and the party on the hopes she would rise out of her life and into a better one, but still not trying to reach more than a surface level understanding, the existence of Rhoda in opposition of Gracie, Bill thinking of giving up his college scholarship to care for his mother and sister, Meg's father leaving and how badly it seemed he believed he had to go, etc etc. It always seemed half baked, or like a cliffhanger. I don't have a lot of stock in the book and it's not a big deal that it's not better, but it's always a shame when books don't reach their full potential.
Overall, it wasn't a great book, but it wasn't a bad book; it was what was expected of it, I guess. I'm not worried about reading the book again, nor keeping it, but I'm not disappointed with it either. 3/5.
My bookmark for this book was a hot pink, heart shaped bookmark reminding me the days of the local farmer's market written on it.

With only the company of my dad and I for the past few weeks was just fine with me. Unlike I predicted, I didn't see an over excessive amount of Grace during those weeks either. I spent a lot of time drawing, and a lot of time thinking, and even more time crying.
I didn't know what it was about Matty that just made me feel so hurt. What was it about this person who I'd only known for such a short span of time. Why couldn't I stop thinking about him? Why couldn't I find a single detail on this man that I didn't like...both appearance wise, and personality wise. Okay well maybe there's something I could say I didn't like...the way he laughed at serious moments...other people's serious moments at least.
Or the way he carrys around a cancer stick, or a dozen...and smokes half of them in the course of the day. Maybe more than that if I'd been around to see him doing it.
He figured me out, faster than anyone I have ever met, and sadly faster than anyone else I think I'll ever meet...besides Elaine...but I stopped seeing her... Maybe Matty was right that maybe we were meant to know each other due to meeting one another in psychology...some days, if I were depressed enough, I'd think that I finally realized it. Other days when I'm pissed, I don't.
He called me everyday, sometimes twice a day...but, he recently gave up...not one call, not one text. I knew it had to happen sometime soon...but when it did, even that hurt as much as it did to ignore every call---
"Welcome, class. My name is Mr. William and I will be your instructor this semester,"
I shut my journal as the voice of a man reign through the large room. I looked up where it came from, he was tall and middle-aged, with a very joyous grin. He looked quite interesting.
"Tell me, do any of you have any prior experience in the art of figure drawing?" He stepped up to the figure model's stage and took a seat on a brown wooden chair, nicely padded with a red pillow which gave me this olden day King's chair type of vibe...
I slowly stuck my journal into my backpack, then looked around to see if anyone could possibly be more advanced than I. No one lifted a finger. I didn't know if he'd ask me a really hard question about it if I'd raise my hand, so I kept it down. It was for my own good.
"No one? Well, today we will be jumping straight into it, to test the waters a bit. Now you're all artists," He said, "if not, you're in the wrong room and probably wrong school too..." everyone laughed. I smiled, it wasn't funny to me, but it was a cool thing to say I guess. I always wondered why people felt the need to make such a fuss when people said the lamest jokes. Not that the instructor's joke was lame or anything...
"Our model will be out in just one minute." He assured us. I noticed the clip to my drawer's board was hanging. I looked around to see if anyone had noticed it. I didn't buy a brand new one, like the ones everyone around me appeared to have. They were shiny and clean, no scratches, dints, stickers, or charcoal in sight.
Mine was an old one from home, I didn't see the need to buy a new one if I was happy with what I had. As I fixed it with a hurry I could hear the model's footsteps from the stage and women behind me whispering. I quickly finished tussling with the clip and looked up.
He was a pretty handsome guy, forgetting that the students around me all looked much older than I, he looked a bit too old for my liking...just with that thought, the door opened and in came a young girl with a loud pink bob hairstyle. A hoop stuck out of her nose, and her floral Doc Marten boots squeaked with every step. I quickly looked back at the model as she came closer.
She dropped her bag on the floor and swung her large carrier over her head, "sorry I'm late--" her voice echoed across the room to the Mr. William held his finger up to his lips to quiet her. She nodded, quickly, then struggled with the zipper to release her clipboard. All of her charcoal came falling out and snapping in two all over the floor, and a few beside me. I didn't want to help her, knowing that we were being timed...but with my instincts I turned around to pick up the broken sticks next to my shoe.
She hurried over to me, taking them as I dropped them into her cupped hands before me, "thank you so much." she whispered. I smiled and nodded, afraid of my whisper echoing like her's. Her accent was nothing like Matty's or the guys. She sounded much more proper, and fancy...posh as the called it. Another surprise, because it didn't match her grungey choice of appearance at all.
"Damnit." She sighed, realizing that almost half her case of charcoal had snapped, all besides the thick ones.
I looked into my box as she finished setting her area up, then handed her a stick of mine.
She smiled and took it, "thank you." She said.
"No problem," I mouthed, returning to my drawing.
"I'm Zoe."
"Katie." I whispered so lowly that it almost had no sound at all.
The instructor walked over, hurriedly. I jumped as he stood between us, "I must please ask you two to be silent. Some people prefer silence as they work, although you are welcome to have earphones."
I nodded, feeling embarrassed for being part of the only younger students in the room and getting told a rule on the first day.
And that's how I met Zoe. She was twenty years old, and richer than any friend I'd ever had in my past. She could do anything she wanted, and have anything she wanted...but she didn't act like it. In fact, you wouldn't even know she came from a wealthy family until she opened her mouth. She never talked about her money, or shopped excessively.
In fact, she hated the way her family behaved. As if money was the root of everything that held them together...she would sometimes go into huge rants about it, and then ask me if I'm awake a few hours later when she finished. I wasn't.
Over time it was like she was all I ever saw. Sort of the way it was when I had met Matty and the guys. She came over every other day to 'practice drawing,' but really we'd just end up laughing, eating, and talking about people we've met from different classes we didn't have each other in.
"So there's this party tomorrow night--"
"Zoe, you know I don't go to parties." I laughed, she always made an effort to invite me to school parties or house parties the guys she met in school clubs and other classes would throw. I didn't understand why she hadn't given up yet, knowing that my answer would always be no.
"Come on, this one everyone is raving about." She shook her head, "you can't always just say no and stay in this..." she looked around, "cave all your life."
"It's not a cave." I threw my pillow at her head, her reflexes were ten times better than mine, but maybe my effort had the same explanation as her's...I hoped for a sudden change.
My bedroom was dark. I rarely ever opened the shades, it was always pretty dark, and I liked it that way.
"Is it because of that one guy you told me about?" She asked.
"What?" I heard her perfectly well.
She rolled her eyes, pushing her hair back tiredly, "the one who fucked your psychologist--"
"Shhh!" I sat up, I didn't want to replay the moment in my visual mind.
"Katie," she fixed her legs more comfortably on the bed, then looked at me. "Did you sleep with this guy?" She asked.
"I told you, I'm a virgin." I said, lowering my voice even though we were the only two home. My reaction to the topics of sex were very youthful. I would whisper, sometimes giggle, or get very shy about it. I couldn't help that.
"Seriously, you can tell me." She said, "who am I gonna tell? No one in our school knows him."
She was right...but I didn't sleep with him. "No."
"I'm just asking..because usually when a girl can't stop thinking about a guy like this...it's because they slept together and the sex was good or she's just emotionally attached because of it."
I looked around my bedroom, feeling stupid. "I'm done thinking about him, I told you I haven't thought about him in weeks!"
"That's the problem, weeks Katie...its been months!" She threw her hand up, "I'm going with or without you because Jesse's gonna be there but I'm really hoping you'll just stop thinking the party is gonna be as bad as that one and come have fun with me." She said.
Jesse was quote, 'the hottest guy in the world' to her.
"Whatever." I shrugged, shaking my head.
"Did you guys do anything?" She asked.
I shook my head, no. "We kissed, a lot of times. But that's it."
"And you expected him not to be sleeping with someone else?"
She made sense. If he wasn't getting any from me, he as getting it from someone else for sure.
"I didn't know him long enough to just put out like that, Zoe."
"Did you like him?"
"Yes."
"So then why not?"
"Are you insisting I be slut?
"That word is thrown around just too much these days, Katie." She looked almost hurt just by me saying it. "A girl is not a slut for having feelings and doing what makes her happy, a girl is a slut for doing what makes her happy to people she doesn't even have feelings for just because it feels good." She rolled her eyes, getting up and grabbing her bag.
"Where are you going?" I asked, standing up.
"Home. I'm bored, okay. I mean I love, spending time with you. I love hanging out here and watching TV and talking but sometimes I just want to go out...and you don't like to do that--"
"Okay fine, I'll go to the party. You're right, all I do is stay inside." I finished her line. She smiled, "YES!"
"But don't expect me to drink, or smoke, or anything." I shook my head in disgust.
"I heard there are gonna be some cute guys there," she winked, "older ones too."
"I don't like older guys." I sighed, she always thought I did after I told her about Matty.

jwcc s4 review (finally)

okay so like ima try to be the most chill and unbiased with this review— i read some others that brought up good points that i didnt see at first, so now thats what ima try to do!
-the biggest fan complaint, kenlynn/cool kids/brookji:
alot of fans are super pissed abt this, and at first it didnt make sense but now i can kindaaa? understand it. my general take is that s1 & s2 the kids were just vibin and surviving, getting to know each other and etc. i think kenji started to have a crush on brook esp in s3, since they were paired up/talked a lot (when brook fought with darius, when sammy got posioned, when darius split up with the group to get ben when leaving the island and brook was worried) so they were kinda getting closer and comfotrable with each other already. and like kenji even confirmed in s4, he realized his feelings for brook when she got taken away, hence his fight with darius (i imagine he was super confused n frustrated abt it.. poor boy). and personally at the end of s3 when kenji got mad, i did find that overprotectiveness weird and was kinda thinking it was bc he liked her! so overall the crush reveal was not a surprise, but i was more surprise that it actually happened! as for brooklyn i think her feelings for kenji were never really developed until they got closer in s4; kenji being a doof and possibly his trueself? and realizing how alike they were made her start to like him a bit? and then he semi-admitted he liked her so she got super confused as well (maybe bc she didnt know if it was platonic or romantic). then yasmina basically opened her eyes, and i think after that brooklyn was thinkin a lot, and spending even more time with kenji she realized she liked him as well...
i admit they couldve done better to show brooklyns development into liking kenji in previous seasons, bc tbh i see both darius and brooklyn being equally super chill with everyone (tho im biased for benrius!).
i think bc the season went by super fast unlike previous seasons, it made kenlynn develop fast as well so it didn't look that well written. tbh even i myself was supperrr shocked that they actually made it bf-gf official! i even wouldve been fine with just confirmed crushes this season, but the ship is probably gonna go through it next season (esp considering the plot twist in the end of the last episode... someone protect kenji pls)
but overall, ship it or not, i still dont think fans should be too angry and crazy at kenlynn shippers or the writers etc. like no one knows where this is gonna go, so we'll just have to wait and see. shouldn't we just enjoy it while it lasts? i think kenji and brooklyn need some type of break from the chaos, and if they wanna be together thats fine by me. same for the other kids! i hope if theyre getting romance arcs that itd be similar screentime as kenlynn and maybe even better developed (i still think yasammy is gonna be the finale ship idk..)
one thing i do wish now is that their charas this season werent too much revolved around each other, but ig thats how it goes! at least we learned more abt them both anyway (theyre both lonely and sheltered kids... also, BROOKLYNN HAS DADS!) and yes im ignoring we still dont have a brooklynn last name reveal smh...
as for the age thing.. idk im not bothered tbh. its like what, a 2 year difference? so thats fine by me, i can see it realistically (if it were any bigger i would def understand the isssue). i dont think the writers are intending anything sus for that or anything— as long as these kids are all kids and just vibin im fine with that. kids have crushes, no biggie.
overall not a surprise to me or a bother! next.
-sammy:
i feel like her character is always the same throughout the seasons so i always found her boring and wanted the crew to work on her. this season was alright! its good they didnt let her issue with her fam die down (tbh i almost forgot thats why she came to the camp), her anger moment, although a lil reckless, made sense esp since we already know her fam obvi means the world to her. i liked her realization with the spinoceratops¿ (angel n rebel) was bc of her and her development from pity to saving them was good! still wish they couldve showed more yasammy, but slow and steady wins the race ig! the deal with mantahcorp (idk if thats how u spell it oops) got even bigger now bc of kenjis dad and im scared for her bestie relationship with kenji 😭 im scared for that whole drama in general but with sammy and her fam as a victim... send help to my kids pls!
-yasmina:
a lot of people send she was so out of character this season (mainly with the kenlynn thing) but tbh? i think this version of her is her real self. even tho she was more colder in previous seasons, we're not new to yasmina being a super supportive friend otherwise. and like she said, sammy is the one who brought out those feelings! i really liked this mischeavous side of her, and ben friendzoning her was the funniest thing!
im superrr pleased with the whole PTSD thing. like most kids shows dont take that trauma seriously and just shove it aside. but not jwcc, and thats prob why im so attached to the show is bc they arent afraid to commit (a kids show where people actually die?? coming after my own heart i see...)!!
i know we prob shouldve had more experiences from the other camp fam, but maybe its good they made this a mainly yasmina thing bc we're so used to seeing her be strong for the team. weak yaz make me weak myself... let her sleep pls.
-ben:
bens whole finding out his identity arc was pretty much perfect. im glad they brought up how panicked he was bc he knew isla nublar so well but now he knew nothing and felt like he was reverting back to scared-ben... but we all know that ben is just ben now! i hope he can get more actual moments with the others bc hes been so independent all these seasons (aromantic king maybe..?)!! a lot of fans like him but tbh /dont kill me/ so far he was always my least fav kid out of the crew.. but i did like him more with his whole s3 thing with darius! so maybe just having him spend time with the others and being himself is the key!! (also more benrius moments pls.. theyre such the mom n dad of the group idc what yall say!!) and his ptsd with the pterodactyl or whatev things? it hurted but im happy he was able to fight back this time!!
-darius:
i didnt get fans complaint with his arc this season at first but after reading some reviews, now i do a bit! now in weirded out as to why darius has like 0 trauma.. maybe its bc he loves dinos so much that overall it doesnt bother him? esp bc dinos are what connects him to his dad the most and etc... and i saw people talk abt him being super leader-y this season but i didnt see much of a difference? he was always the one everyone looked to for answers so i wasnt surprised that he made his own decisions again— everyone still trusts him and knew what he chose was the right thing to do. but they didnt tell him abt their ptsd so obviously darius wouldnt know abt it bc all of their bonds are so strong that i think darius trusted them to tell him anything (but since they didnt he was obv blinded to their true feelings??). and surprisingly a lot of fans seemed to think he was out of character or smth when choosing the phone over the dinos? but i think it was good development bc it showed that even tho he loves dinos to death, he would still do anything for his friends (esp bc they told him they had ptsd). im glad in how he handled it!
one thing i agree on with others is that he definitely deserved some more screentime. mainly with the other kids, and less solo screentime, like the other seasons!... yes i admit, kenlynn and kenji did overshadow him a lot, but at least i believe its to build up the plot twist in the end for kenji and onto the next season (maybe theyre giving each kid arcs? and s1 was mainly darius's? idk tbh!)
i loved how darius handled kash— who i hate and pls let big eatie eat him already...
darius is just so smart and damn im jealous! that kid can think fast and improvise like breathing, no surprise he's the leader (and brooklyn being second in command to the group was very interesting).
》others:
-mae was a fine character! i like how quirky she is, and finally not an evil or dead adult 😭 but it was funny how even so she still got injured and was out of commission the whole time... can someone just save my kids and not die, pls theyre too traumatized!! (ps where are the camp counselors who i 100% forgot their names— are the gonna come back or naw...)
-i agree with others, kash is a weak villain. but tbh i feel like he was that annoying and ridiculous to just blind us with the ep11 plot twist aka the REAL villain¿ (i keep mentioning this but ill talk abt it soon i swear). the robots were boring i do admit as well, maybe it wouldve been better if they were like.. dino robots? to help with the island but also be disguised with the other dinos? idk tbh!
-darius's brother who i forget his name... im rootin for him obv! maybe he'll get the camp counselors to help him out and they'll slowburn their way to help the kids? i hope we get more of the mainland stuff bc like.. is no one worried that 6 kids are still missing from the island??! like maybe they do think theyre dead after all (which angsty thats so rude im cryin) but is there like really nothing they can do? get chris pratt on the case already!!!
-and lastly? i think? EP 11/SEASON ENDING. how dare you. how dare you!!! like ive seen other peoole say that they guessed it, but i legit had 0 clue bc i literally never think abt the adult characters period.. BUT HOW DARE YOU ANYWAY!! so ya.. kenjis dad— i can't even say it. I WAS NOT SEEING THAT. like even rewatching that episode i still gasp like ive never seen it bc its so unreal to me... its so good. it pretty much made up whatever complaints i had before! first "appearance" i literally was like who tf is 'daniel' (bc the subs) and i thought it wouldve been a character they already introduced previously! but ig technically they have (even tho i didnt know his connection to kenji until he literally said dad..).
im super hyped for the next season esp bc of this.. LIKE KENJI IS GONNA GO THROUGH IT! who he'll have to choose, the dino and camp fam or his actual dad... and again sammys reaction? i am not ready. like maybe theyll handle it easy and let mrkon have a change of heart bc of his son, but i also really want them to spice it up and make him a serious villain? (ik whats wrong with me) but like consider the contrast itll be compared to darius's dad... like darius and kenji can have a real test of their bond bc of this... and yes i also feel like this will test kenlynn, bc just kenjis dad being here just changes the whole game in general. like will kenji be reverted back to his selfish n spoiled ways and it'll cause a rift between him and brook/campfam?? theres too many questions and possibilities... WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN?? im so worried..
and i know kenji is a fan favorite, so i wish people were freaking out more over this than ships...

- overall i rate this season 9/10 (originally 10/10 so not much difference but i did put more thought into it...?)

“Look, someone has to have it...” he spoke into the phone, leaning back as you did with him. The feeling of his warm body against yours putting you to sleep, resting your head on his chest as you curled up into him. 
His smirk widened as he ran his hand down your sides, enjoying your company as you grew more comfortable in his lap, the feeling of cold hard metal touching your skin as you adjusted yourself on his legs, seeing it peek from below his waistband, handle hanging out of his belt reminded you of what he was, breaking you out of your daydream.
Looking up at him as your hands rested on his chest and neck, pulling away from his stroking his scuff and fingers untangling themselves from his golden chain. Getting off his thighs seeing as this call was going to last long, legs growing numb, jestering with your hands that you were going to the kitchen, responding with a subtle nod as he watched you leave.
Hearing his voice get sterner, sending chills down your spine as his tone changed completely. “Send guards up there to get him…. and hold him until they arrive.” Seeing that he got confirmation, as his head tilted back, a sigh escaping lips as he rubbed his eyes. Eyebrows furrowing, not knowing if you should have left him there alone, just putting it in the back of your head that you left some time for him to cool down.
Walking down the staircase headed towards the kitchen, almost still getting lost in this villa as you remember him telling the first time you came here ‘it was down the staircase and to the left’. Stopping to look at the big picture of him hung up on the wall followed by many others, looking like a victorian portrait encased in the glass frames made you realize how big of a name they really were, generations following you down the hall as you continued moving down the steps.
Finally seeing the walls of windows and the bar you felt relieved, walking up to the fridge and opening it, seeing every drink but water. Grabbing some type of lemonade as you leaned against the marble counter while you took a sip, tasting the unknown alcohol in it as it hit the back of your throat, quickly coughing while smacking your chest a few times to calm it down. Tears filling your eyes as you shakily set the glass down.
“Sorry about that. Should've probably just drank it all yesterday.” 
You turned your blurry eyes to see his grandson, an almost spitting image of him when he was younger, noticing him handing you some water that you wanted in the first place.
“What a surprise...” you choked out, lifting the bottle to your mouth, throat finally feeling some ease.
The two of you had an almost sibling-like relationship, starting from the moment he met you after you patched his friend up in an alleyway, not even questing or caring why, moving on with your day like nothing happened.
Guessing you were on your way home from work, seeing you in scrubs, and after running into you again he swore it was fate. Persuading you to join them as you easily said yes, knowing you wouldn't say no the salary and the ‘benefits’ that came along with it, just wanting to finally relax with your student loans paid off.
But the last thing he would've expected after all of this, was you, with his grandad. Essentially getting yourself stuck in this kind of life, knowing that you'd never be able to leave as soon as they found out you were 'with’ him. But you obviously had a smart head on you, letting you do whatever your heart wanted as he supported you. Grabbing another drink from the bar, this time knowing it was alcohol as you two joked around for a minute.
A smile appearing on your face when you heard steps walking towards you, seeing ikkei appear from the corner of the hallway as keishin turned his head and guessed right, looking at you already skip over to him like a puppy following its owner.
Greeting you while he let you cling onto him, arms wrapped around his as he lifted his hand saying hello to his grandson. All his attention on your pretty little smile as his thumb traced your cheek, bringing up your hand to his lips, placing his lips on it gently as you were acting like you've never been touched before, giggling shyly into his arm as he chuckled out.
Keishin gagging at the sight before him, “Why don't you just retire already,” not wanting to see this cringy shit anymore, but deep down just wanting him to be safe and content, never seeing him smile this hard in his life. "So, we were giving these two the rundown on our lives, before Amanda and Bill start circling" Molly groans, and Tom and Stephen launch into discussing what they do for a living. Dean, of course, listens very intently, as he tries not to think about the sudden loss of warmth in his hand.

Dean's eyes instantly snap up, as he tries to keep his expressions in check, but he can feel the heat creeping over his cheeks. Cas only gives him a nervous look, which makes Dean's chest tighten at the sight. Damnit.
Because yeah Cas keeps taking the lead, but he's never actually done this before, he's just doing what he thinks he should do. Cas must be anxious as fuck. And Dean's general "lets never talk about emotion or affection" attitude, probably isn't helping. He's the one who knows what to do, he should be helping ease Cas into this more, not having breakdowns every time they make eye contact.
So without really thinking, Dean slightly leans into Cas, causing him to wrap his arm around him tighter. It clearly settles Cas' nerves, because that worried look is gone, replaced with a smile, before he turns his head back to the conversation.
And Dean figures since Cas is listening, it's okay to tap out for a moment. Because excuse him, but Cas' arm is around his fucking waist, not even 20 minutes after he kissed him. Dean's just surprised he isn't passed out on the ground yet.
And that feeling-the feeling Dean of course doesn't talk-about is back and swirling around his stomach, threatening to bubble up his throat. It's making him feel nauseous, as his heart thumps against his chest.
But he can't exactly bring himself to care because there's a warmth washing over his body in waves. The heat of Cas' arm around his waist and shoulder resting against his own, radiates through his jacket. Dean can smell the worn leather mixing with Cas' cologne as he tries to focus back in on the conversation-what is he doing.
He's supposed to be getting info about the neighbors, and all he can think about is Cas' arm around his waist. Which is only there to keep up the act, and it doesn't matter that it fee-nope not even gonna go there.
Focus Winchester.
"-but enough about work, how did you two meet?" Dean catches Molly asking, and thank god he chose that moment to pull it together.
So Dean quickly meets Cas' eye. Both knowing they have to nail this part if they plan to gain anyone's trust. They hadn't exactly rehearsed it, but they are best friends who've spent over a decade lying for a living. They've got this.
Dean takes a steadying breath, ignoring the swirling and the warmth and the heart rate.
"Well, it was back in 2008. I was sort of going through a bit of a rough patch at work and was frequenting the local bar a bit too much. But maybe the hangovers were worth it, because one night this guy with wild hair and baby blues strolled in and happened to sit at the other end of the bar. And just my luck he looked about just as much of a mess as I did-no offense babe" Dean began putting on a show, and Cas rolled his eyes.
"Oh please, you didn't look half the mess that I did" Cas teases dramatically. Cas then gave him a look, leveling Dean with an arched eyebrow, causing laughter to bubble around them.
"Yeah yeah Casanova, we both looked a wreck okay? So much of a wreck that we apparently felt so sorry for each other, that we unknowingly bought one another a drink"
"After the bartender pointed out who bought me the beer, I looked up to see it was the person I had just bought a drink. So I figured he was worth a little conversation, and I moved to sit on the stool next to him" Cas continues, throwing a wink at Dean.
Damn they were good at this.
"And it turned out we were both walking disasters. I was out of a job, and Cas here had just gone through the world's worst breakup-"
"We had been together for years, and I had decided I'd had it. It was a mess, his whole family got involved. But I guess it was a good thing it was such a disaster, or I never would have gotten a drink from the gorgeous man at the end of the bar" Cas cuts back in, which definitely didn't make Dean's cheeks flare.
"Anyway, we got to talking, probably overshared way too much with a complete stranger, and called it a night. But I thought I'd be crazy to let him get away, so I practically chased him down on the street to get his number. And god was I lucky he didn't think I was a creep-"
"Actually I thought it was very romantic. Like a movie, too bad it wasn't raining. But honestly, I was just lucky he didn't think I was a creep when I called to ask him on a date the next morning" Cas jokes, earning another laugh from the group. Dean quickly surveys their faces to see that they're hooked. Time for the grande finale.
"And really the rest is history, we just sorta clicked. It sounds like bullshit, but it was like we were made for each other ya know? Cas just always knew what to say, always knew what to do to, understands me better than anyone else, helps me through every obstacle. I guess you could say he basically pulled me out of hell. And he still does, every day. There's no one else in the world I'd rather have by my side" Dean gushes, tacking on the hell line as a joke, but it didn't exactly sound like one. No, it sounded like the most sincere thing Dean's ever said, and he quickly realizes that it's not part of the act. He really means it.
He glances back over at Cas to see him slightly slack-jawed, gazing at him in soft wonder. Dean's heart picks up again, stomach swirling as he makes a little fist to ground himself.
Because of course, he means it Cas is his best friend, he's family that's nothing new. But it's more than that and yo-nope. Focus. Cas is only looking at him like that as part of the act, he's playing up.
Dean quickly tries to wrack his brain for something to say, but thankfully Molly cuts in.
"God aren't you two just the cutest, sappiest couple in the entire world! Oh my god, you're like a romcom. The perfect couple" Molly practically shouts earning a laugh from everyone and nods of agreement.
"Trust me, it wasn't as simple as a romcom. We fight, and we scream, but we always come back to each other" Cas says earnestly, looking right into Dean's eyes.
And Dean's pretty sure his heart is gonna burst through his chest because Cas' heart eyes look pretty damn convincing and it's sending his thoughts running. But thankfully, Tom and Stephen start telling the story of how they met, so Dean can thankfully push those thoughts aside. For now.
And after an hour of small talk, Dean and Cas have got a pretty good grasp on the people they're dealing with.
They learn that Stephen and Tom are both doctors at the same hospital, they have three-year-old daughter named Elizabeth. And with a glance over at the kids' section, they see that she and Jack are playing together. Another couple, Emma and Rachel come and join them all about halfway through. Emma is a cardiologist, and Rachel is a biomedical engineer, and they're in the process of adopting. They also learn that this entire week is the "Annual Autumn Festival", and there's a different event hosted by a different family each night, ending with a huge block party on Saturday night. Apparently, the school in town gives the kids a whole week off for some "district convention" with the higher ups, so they've been doing this for years.
And honestly, despite everything, Dean's actually having a good time. Yeah, these people's careers are insane, but Dean thinks they're pretty normal, and he's genuinely enjoying talking to them. And they seem to have warmed up to them, so with a slight nod from Cas, Dean goes in for the kill.
"So, we have to ask. We saw some crazy stuff in the news about this neighborhood, of course, it was after we bought the place. But we couldn't find much info about it" Dean begins gently to ease them into the conversation.
"Oh you must be talking about Carol and Mike" Rachel supplies with a frown, and a silence settles over the group.
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to pry. We were just curious sin-"Cas begins to apologize
"No, it's okay. You've got a right to know since it is about your house and all. Not your fault someone paid to keep it out of the news" Ton sighs heavily, and Stephen comfortingly presses his kiss to his temple.
"Carol and Mike were our best friends before they we-before everything" Stephen chokes out.
"We're so sorry for your loss" Dean offers, Cas nodding along.
"The night it happened, we were actually all supposed to go out to dinner. The four of us and the kids, it's a monthy tradition. But when we walked across the street to meet them, Carol answered. We should have known something was off bu-"
"Hello! I'm seeing frowns which is never a sign of a good party!" A shrill voice calls, which earns a groan from the group.
Damnit. They were so close.
Suddenly there's a shorter woman with platinum blonde hair, and a man with enough goop in his hair to grease a pan, who've both clearly had some work done.
"Hi I'm Amanda, and this is my husband Bill. You two must be our new neighbors" Amanda smiles with her too-white teeth, extending a hand with perfectly manicured nails. Of course, they are.
Dean resists the urge to roll his eyes, but with a squeeze on his side from Cas, he's reaching out his hand to shake theirs'.
"Bill, a pleasure to meet you! Nice to see you've already found your people. I know how you guys like to group up" Bill laughs with an equally blinding, white smile.
A pit drops in Dean's stomach. "Your people", who does this guy think he is? And these aren't Dean's people he's stra-
Give it a rest Winchester, you can only lie to yourself about so many things at once.
Fine so maybe they are "Dean's people", but this homophobic assclown has no right to say it, especially not like that.
"Well, not as much as your people lik-"Dean starts, only to be cut off by a pinch to his side and he whips his head towards Cas.
"Just let it go, he isn't worth it" Cas softly whispers in his ear, while he gently pulls him closer. With a huff, Dean begrudgingly lets it go.
He turns back to the conversation to see Bill and Amanda completely ignoring them, as they ramble on about nonsense. Dean quickly locks eyes with each couple, they throw him an eye roll, or a face when Amanda and Bill aren't looking.
"Oh Amanda and Bill, looks like you found the new neighbors" Molly calls slightly strained as she and Jason practically run back over.
"Yes, but sadly we don't have much time to chat with them tonight. There are still some people we must say hello to" Amanda informs, and honestly, Dean could cheer from relief.
"But you two must stop by sometime this week so we can get you properly acquainted with the neighborhood. Maybe widen the variety of your social groups" Bill snarks and Dean opens his mouth to retort but is silenced by a sharp tug from Cas.
"Thank you for the offer, bu-" Cas answers cooly before Dean even thinks about reopening his mouth.
"Perfect! Stop by Tuesday around two, we'll have lunch! But like I said we must be going, try to have a pleasant evening. Oh and Molly, that chicken looked a bit dry, might want to check on that" Amanda proclaims, and then she and Bill are disappearing into the crowd.
Dean turns to glare at Cas, who only gives him a look that reads "we'll talk about it later".
"I'm so sorry you got trapped by them. God, they're the fucking worst" Molly groans in apology
"Yeah can't argue with that" Dean grits out, still fuming from Bill's words and Amanda's stupid smirk.
"And Bill's such a homophobic bastard, thinks he's so subtle. God, what I'd give to shove a-" Emma rants, only to be cut off by a gentle shove from her wife.
"We can try to get you out of the lunch with them, we can sa-"Jason offers, but Cas of all people shuts him down.
"It's okay, if we go once and make them hate us, maybe they'll never bother us again. Oh and I'm sorry, but we really better get going. It's almost Jack's bedtime. Thank you for everything" Cas explains with a smile, shooting a look at Dean.
"Yeah, this was a killer party. So great to meet you guys, hope we see you all soon!" Dean says plastering on a smile despite his bubbling anger.
And with quick goodbyes, Cas' arm unsnakes itself from around Dean's waist. But before he can mourn the loss, he feels his hand in his dragging him silently towards the kids' section. They scoop up an exhausted, but ecstatic Jack, and carefully avoid running into Maria, as they make their way through the gate.
Now that they're alone, walking down the cold, dark sidewalk, Dean can hold it in anymore.
"God we were so damn close then, Barbie and Ken had to show up and shut the whole thing down! And now you want us to have lunch with them?" Dean rages, pointedly ignoring the way Cas' hand that isn't holding a sleeping Jack, squeezes his own. And of course, the fact that they're still holding hands.
"I know they were dicks, but I noticed them circling us for at least ten minutes, and they only rushed over as soon as we started asking about the murders. Isn't that suspicious?" Cas questions.
"Yeah I guess, but wh-"
"So I think they might be the thing we're hunting. I only agreed to lunch so we could check them out, and scope out their house" Cas continues, amusement dancing in his voice
Of course. God, it's so obvious how could Dean miss it? This whole thing is really fucking with his head.
"Alright, no need to be smug about it. But I still don't understand why you wouldn't let me tear that assclown a new one" Dean grumbles, anger quickly returning as they climb their porch steps.
Cas sighs dropping his hand, turning to look at Dean fully. Dean's heart starts up, as Cas levels him with an intense, unreadable stare.
"Because he's just some rich, homophobic asshole, who believes he's better than everyone. But he's not, because he isn't even worth your energy or thought. He doesn't know anything about us" Cas speaks, softly, as he rests a hand on Dean's shoulder. Dean suddenly realizes they're standing almost nose to nose.
"And I certainly don't care what he thinks of me or you, and I certainly don't care what he thinks of us. Because all that matters is how we think about ourselves." Cas continues purposefully, and Dean's throat constricts at the words. Dean of course knows Cas is "indifferent to sexual orientation", but he doesn't know that he-wait is Cas-
"And besides, if he's the monster. We'll get to kill him, slowly" Cas says in a mock-serious tone, which startles a laugh from Dean's throat. He's so close he can feel Cas's breath on his face, and Cas can probably hear Dean's heart racing.
But thankfully the logical part of Dean's brain is still somewhat running because it reminds him that it's all for the act. "He doesn't know anything about us", Cas was talking about the act. These people don't know they're pretending.
Because none of this is rea-
And it happens so fast that Dean almost misses it, again. But now he's watching Cas' retreating form walk through the doorway, and up the stairs. Leaving Dean, standing alone in the cold night air, his hand moving to his cheek without consent.
Cas kissed him on the cheek, again.
But this time. Nobody was around. They were completely alone, nobody to put on an act for.
That swirling feeling his back and wreaking havoc on his stomach again, while that lightning thing courses through his veins, and his mind races a mile a minute.
Dean lets out a breath, aggressively running his hands through his hair, as he stares out onto the empty street.
Because what the fuck is happening.

"Fuck!" you shout as Tommy sends drink glasses flying, all for the punchline of another one is his jokes. You're at the bar in the restaurant you hung out in every week with all your favorite wise guys; you and your crime family practically own the joint at this point.
As you're using a napkin to dry up some of the champagne that had gotten on your cute black bodycon dress, when you suddenly feel a tall presence behind you, "Watch your mouth, young lady. Good girls don't curse."
Jimmy.
You look at him nonchalantly over your shoulder, "You know I'm 21 now, just like Tommy and Henry, you don't have to take care of me any more..." In fact, Jimmy is well aware that you're 21 now, and it isn't lost on you how all over you he's been.
His hands slide over your sides, pulling you close to him, as he whispers in your ear, "I know you're a grown woman now, but Uncle Jimmy still wants to care of his girl..." He'd never done anything like this before, and it sent shivers down your spine right to your center. Your eyes widen in shock, both at his comment and how your body responded to it.
You quickly push his hands off of you, turning around to face him, "Order me a drink then, if you wanna take care of me so bad." It came out of your mouth before you could even think, and you weren't completely sure what you meant by it, but Jimmy hails the bartender and places an order for something he knows you'd like: the first drink you ever had, a Cherrys Sour.
Back when you were still in high school, Jimmy made it for you one night when you were staying with him, saying how he wanted to "be there for your first drink, your first REAL drink, because I'm the uncle that'll let you get away with it."
When the bartender drops your drink off, Jimmy picks it up and holds it a few inches from your face. He plucks the cherry off the rim, and although he's tempted to steal it, he places it gently against your lips, appreciating the way the bright red fruit looks against your pouty bottom lip and the way your tongue flicks out to pull it into your mouth and popping it off its stem.
After that, he couldn't help himself. He places a hand on your cheek and the glass to your lips, making you take a sip of your drink. You close your eyes, nose wrinkling a bit as the liquid coats your taste buds.
"Just like the first time..." Jimmy reminisces, "How's that for being taken care of, darlin'?" You slip the drink out of Jimmy's hand and simply give him a look, trying to be pouty, but the man could tell you liked it.
Jimmy ordered himself the same drink; he just loves cherries, and he leaves you for a little while to go greet a few people, including your dad...
But he isn't gone for long, before he saunters up behind you again, setting his empty glass and placing his hands on the bar on either side of you, trapping you in.
"Jimmy..." you whine, looking down at the bar, but he can't see the smile on your face.
"(Y/N)..." he mimics you. He gently and slowly touches his chest to your back, and combs your hair away from your neck, placing a few soft kisses there.
"Jimmy," you breath heavily, "my dad is here..."
"Well then we better get out of here before he sees us," he leaves a little kiss on the shell of your ear, as he presses the beginnings of his arousal against your backside.
"Ooo-ooooh!!! Looks like Uncle Jimmy noticed our little (Y/N) is all grown up!" Henry hollers down the bar.
"Maybe he wants to be her Daddy Jimmy now! God knows he's old enough to be!" Tommy cuts in.
The place is filled with laughter, and simultaneously, you and Jimmy cut looks that could kill at Tommy and Henry. Jimmy makes a move to storm over to them but you grab his hand, holding him back. "You're just jealous Uncle Jimmy never loved you as much as he loves me," you throw over your shoulder as you drag Jimmy out of the restaurant, laughing as soon as the cool night air hits your faces.
Through his laughter, Jimmy unlocks the passenger door of his car, pushing you in and sliding in after you. With you at the wheel, he cranks up the car and says, "Why don't you take us somewhere, baby girl?"
Things go quiet for a moment, then a big smile spreads across your face. You don't get to drive much, and he knows how much you love to.
"You aren't drunk or anything, are you?" he whispers, always checking on you.
"No, I just had the one drink you got me," you answer.
"Good good, you know I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to you," he kisses your cheek and pats your thigh, indicating that you should drive now.
You weren't sure where to go, so you just drove to this little park that took up just a block. There are some swings and a jungle gym, but also some trees and grass and benches. You didn't know what Jimmy would think but you thought it might be romantic.
He chuckles as you stop the car, "You want Uncle Jimmy to take you to the park?"
"Hmmm, I think you meant 'Daddy'" you say, mocking Tommy.
He lets out a little grunt and places a hand on your cheek, wiping his thumb across your bottom lip, "Watch your mouth, I'm warning you..."
"But... That's not even a curse word," you say, but then it clicks in your head. You decide to store that information away for later, and you both get out the car.
You quickly discover the fence to the park is locked, but that kind of thing never stopped you and Jimmy before. You slip off your heels, handing them to the man next to you, and start climbing the fence.
"Hey! Be careful!!" He shouts, but you were already over the other side before he could stop you... and he wasn't really sure how you climbed the fence in a dress that tight.
He takes your shoes over to the car, tossing them in the back seat and pulling out a blanket, probably there so he could wrap a body if he needed to, but he figured you could use it to sit on the grass.
He throws it over the fence to you before fumbling over the thing himself; he was much more graceful about it when he had a cop after him.
Inside the park, you stroll around for a while, getting used to Jimmy being all sweet on you like this. You liked it, but he had always been your Uncle Jimmy, so it's a little weird at first.
You walk over to the swings, plopping down in one. Jimmy stands behind you, gently pushing and pulling the chains back and forth. You look back at him and you both share a giggle as he starts pushing you harder, really getting the swing to go. Your giggles grow into hysterical laughter as you fly through the air.
Jimmy leaves you to your own devices to swing as long as you'd like, while he sits on the swing next to yours and pulls out a cigarette, smiling from ear to ear as he watches you.
As your swing slows down, you pluck the cigarette from his fingers, taking a drag on it. He quickly gets it back, saying, "Hey! That's not good for you, baby," in a serious tone.
"It's not good for you either..." you say as your swing comes to a halt.
"Yeah, well. Do as I say, not as I do." Jimmy says, pulling your swing over to his. There's a pause for a moment before he changes the subject, "I'm gonna kiss you now. Are you gonna let me?"
"Why don't you try it and see?" you tease him.
With that, he pulls you off of your swing and onto his lap, holding your waist as his lips meet yours in an open mouthed kiss that can only be described as electric. Jimmy didn't do anything half-assed, especially kissing you. One of his hands tangles in your hair, and you hold his cheeks in your hands as you make out.
He sucks his bottom lip into your mouth, giving it a delightful little nibble that makes you squirm. Your hands move to squeeze at his sides while you desperately kiss one another, both realizing you'd wanted each other much longer than you thought. His hands grab your hips and lift you up so he can stand and wrap your legs around his waist; his lips never leaving yours. He walks a few steps over to the grass and sinks to his knees, laying you down in the damp but soft grass. He grips at your thigh, hard; it'll probably leave little bruises where his fingertips are.
You let out a little whine and he realizes he's hurting you, "I'm sorry, honey."
"It's okay..." you breathe out, "Daddy..."
You watch as he gets a lust blown look in his eyes from your use of that word, and his lips slam back into yours. He starts grinding his hardness against you, "Say it again," he mumbles through attacking your lips.
"Mmm!" you push him of you a little, making him stop and look in your eyes, "Daddy."
His eyes are practically begging you, for what you aren't sure, but he lowers his head and softly kisses at your decolletage. Your fingers grace over his head, threatening to mess up his gelled hair. As his lips give attention to the top of your breasts, Jimmy's voice pipes up, "(Y/N)," his eyes look up at you, "Let me make love to you."
"Jimmy..."
His hand creeps up, intertwining your fingers with his and pinning your hand to the ground. His face meets yours with another fiery kiss.
"Jimmy," you moan against his lips, "What if we get caught?"
"Well, it could be kind of exciting if we get caught," he presses a kiss to your earlobe.
"I mean, by the cops... What if we get in trouble?"
"Listen to yourself, princess, when did you ever care about getting in trouble? Besides, fuck the cops," Jimmy argues still kissing at your neck, and he does have a point.
You push Jimmy up and he sits back on his knees. You get up and sit in front of Jimmy, except you turn your back to him, then you brush your hair to one side to the front side of your shoulder.
"Okay," you say.
"Hm?" Jimmy asks.
"James Conway, unzip my dress right now, or I swear to God, you won't get another chance to for the rest of your life!"
Zip! You feel your dress loosen immediately. His hands roam your back as he scoots closer to you. His fingertips glide over your silky smooth skin while sliding the little dress straps off your shoulders.
"When a pretty lady like you talks, I listen," his voice is lower than it was before.
You chuckle and lean back into him as the top part of your dress falls around your waist and Jimmy's hands explore your bra. You hear his breathing get a little heavier just from looking at you without a top on.
You turn around and start to lay back down on the grass. "Wait-" Jimmy starts, "Let me go grab that blanket."
"You afraid of getting a little dirty, Daddy?" you say in your sexiest voice. It's funny how you can visually see Jimmy short circuit a for minute every time you call him that. He snaps back to reality and jumps up, "I'll be right back!"
He quickly returns to lay the blanket on the ground for you, before grabbing you and gently laying you down with it. You slide your dress off your legs, and Jimmy can hardly think straight seeing you in your lacy black underwear.
"Are you just gonna stand there, big man? A little girl like me got your wires all crossed?" you joke at him.
Jimmy simply responds by taking off his jacket and tie, and getting on his knees between your legs again. You sit up and unbutton his shirt, quickly discarding it and finally feeling the warm skin of his torso. You look up and give him a teasing look before unlatching his belt, sloooowly. He's completely breathless at the way you've taken charge of the situation; you'd always been a little girl in his eyes.
Almost as if you'd been reading his mind, you say, "If I'm gonna call you Daddy, you better start acting like one, hm?" You raise your eyebrows at the last part as if you were expecting something of him.
He exhales and crawls on top of you, "You're so right... God damn it, you just look so good!" He roughly kisses you and pins your wrists down to the ground above your head, "But now I'm gonna make you mine."
You're left gasping as Jimmy moved to your neck, leaving his mark on you. Everyone would know he had had you when they see those hickies on your neck, and that thought- that thought drove Jimmy wild.
He releases your hands as he works his way down your body with his kisses and sucks on every inch of your skin. He pops back up on his knees and works his pants off, and he looks around to make sure no one is walking by around the park. "Want me to lose these, baby doll?" he asks, hooking his thumbs in the waistband of his boxer briefs.
"You know I do," you giggle at him.
He groans happily, "You sure you're ready to see your Uncle Jimmy naked?"
You sit up and stroke his hard length as it strains against the fabric, "I thought you were my Daddy now... You must not want me to call you that if you keep forgetting..." You pretend to pout at him.
He takes you by surprise, grabbing your throat and shaking you a bit, "Daddy didn't forget."

Truthfully, I think you'd end up never noticing how he'd occasionally pull you closer, or how he'd glare at anyone your age or older going near you. Or how he'd give you some strict rules, Like no dating anyone. E v e r. And why would you ever want to hurt your papa like that?! You wouldn't want to do that, right?! Of course you wouldn't! Dio knew you'd never betray him like that!!
Truth be told, he'd guilt you if you tried to go against his words. But punishments? John coming home from a week-long hunt. He's tired. His body aches. Luckily nothing major needed to be patched-up, but he still feels like he was "drug through a knot-hole backwards" as the saying goes. All he wants to do is take a shower and collapse into bed. As he approaches the door though he's hears a rhythmic smacking sound coming from the other side. He pauses for moment, listening. The faint sound of whimpering and "Deeeeaaaaan" in that whining voice his youngest has become an expert in comes to him and he shakes his head. Guess he'll have deal with this first.
The boys freeze when John opens the door. Sam is draped over Dean's lap, jeans and underwear around his ankles, his butt already a bright red, and all John can think of is deer-in-the-headlights as they both stare at him for a moment. John closes the door firmly behind himself and cocks an eyebrow at Dean. "Wanna tell me what he did this time?" Dean seems to shake himself out of his shock and clears his throat, pulling Sam a bit closer to him, almost protectively. "He, um, he went to the library after school without asking. Lost track of time and didn't come home till they kicked his ass out. I was worried sick. So..."
John was nodding though. "So, you're teaching him the consequences of his actions." He gets nods in return from both boys and he walks a few steps closer, taking a good look at Sam's rear end. "Doin' a good job there." As he speaks he starts unbuckling his belt, and both boys tense. But he's their father. He always has the final say. "Now Sam," his voice stern, "you get off your brother's lap and go lean over the table so I can finish this up." Neither of them move though and Sam cranes his tear-stained face up to his Dad. "Please.... can I just stay here?" Before John can respond to the strange request Dean is nodding. "Yeah Dad. He's already here." He grips Sam's side more firmly while leaning his torso back a bit, out of the way. "I'll hold him still for you."
Normally John would insist on doing it, every detail, his way. But neither one is debating John using the belt on Sam, just positioning. And well, he can still hit his target as long as Dean stays out of the way. And he really wants to just get this over with and get in the shower. So with a nod he doubles-up his belt and stands to the side a bit. He notices one of Sam's hands moving to grip Dean's leg while the other continues to brace himself against the floor. Without further ado he brings the leather down hard over Sam's ass. The crack is loud in the otherwise silent room, but is immediately followed by a groan from his youngest. Dean grips him tighter and John continues, whack after whack. By the third Sam is squirming but Dean makes sure he stays in place. By the fifth he's breathing hard and jerking forward with every swing. At the tenth, Sam finally lets go with a sob, shuddering from the pain, before he goes completely limp over his brother's lap. Just for good measure John gives him 5 more (to match his age plus one) but Sam just continues crying softly while Dean rubs his back.
Now done with that unpleasant business, John tosses his belt onto the other bed. "No doing that anymore, you hear Sam?" He leans down to grip his son's shoulder and gets a shaking nod in return. "Y-yes ss-sir." Satisfied, John heads toward the bathroom. "I'm gonna take a shower. You two get ready for bed. Sorry Dean, you're gonna have to share with your brother tonight."
Dean looks up at his dad and gives him a reassuring nod. "It's okay Dad. Don't worry about it."
Once John is in the bathroom and they hear the shower going, Dean helps his brother up off his lap. There's a wet spot on his jeans where Sam's dick had been. "Man, I thought we were busted," he murmured softly. Sam, still flushed from the whole experience nods, wincing as he gingerly rubs his throbbing behind. "Yeah, same. It HAD been a close call, but it might be something they'd have to replicate again.
In the shower, John stands for a bit under the hot spray, letting it relax his sore muscles.
