GOD! you know they're so rare. they're so rare.

my personal favourite always always is avenging spider-man #12 + #13. the only spideypool comic ever. it's probably the benchmark for how i write their dynamic.

other than that, the spideypool annual is a classic. but peter's like, unconscious through most of it. technically he's unconscious through most of avenging spider-man #12 too. i don't know why peter's usually unconscious in the spideypool books.

this is one of the cutest wades ever. huge contributing factor to wade's general adorable fanboy persona you see so frequently in fanon.

this is like the ultimate little fanservice book. if you didn't ship spideypool before, you'll read this book and it'll be all you think about. it's so simple, wholesome, adorable. and wade's just, so good.

god i miss stand-alone issues with simple plotlines that just have silly fun with their concept.

one underrated spideypool interaction i really like but a lot of people haven't read! identity wars (2011) - it's kind of an insane book. spider-man, deadpool and the hulk (weird trio) all wind up in an alternate universe where, get this. uncle ben never died and spider-man is evil.

but not like sexy evil. like evil evil. like collecting other spider-man and draining their powers evil.

and wade is also evil. he's like, dr doom evil.

spider-man and deadpool don't interact a whole lot, they kind of all have their own stories going on, but i just love the little interactions that they do have.

they're so cute. so cute.

other than that, uh. cable and deadpool #24? that's required reading - spider-man and deadpool's first canonical meeting.

Wade/Nancy is an artist who's been surrounded by negative opinions. She currently works under the username Grisgrisdoll, but she's widely known as the name that haunts her past, Kastoway.

I've seen many, many accusations being thrown online against this artist, but I noticed that for many people spreading them this knowledge is secondhand. I found her Deviantart account some time after she changed her username to Kastoway in the beginning of 2014 due to my hyperfixation on creepypastas at the time. I never actually followed her, but I visited her account every now and then, so if I missed something important, it was because of that and I will be glad if you tell me. In this post, I'll list the incidents in chronological order *with evidence* and then give my own opinion at the end.

One thing to know about Wade is that she has had many different names and usernames throughout her life. In addition, she is comfortable with people using either "she", "he" or "they" to refer to her. I'll be alternating the pronouns and using both her names.

He was 13 when she created Ticci Toby [1]. He posted her first drawing of him on the 19th of November 2012 on DeviantArt [2] and Toby's origin story one year later on the 23rd of May 2013 [3]. Wade changed the personality of Toby to make him less upbeat, more tragic and more scary. One of the first instances where he showed discomfort with how people portrayed Toby that I remember was in a publication she posted on the last day of 2013 [4]. This situation ended up with a small redesign of Toby on 5th of February 2014 [5].

She took a short break from DeviantArt around July [6]. It was this year when her creepypasta blew up out of proportion. Previously, she had expressed her desire for Toby to only be shipped with another creepypasta character called Clockwork. However, many people didn't like Clockwork and didn't respect this wish, leading her to further getting tired of the creepypasta community. By october of the same year, her Deviantart bio said: "Most people know me as the creator of the creepypasta story "Ticci-Toby"-- which yes I am, but I prefer not to be constantly called out for it nor only recognized or appreciated for it. I do not contribute to the creepypasta fandom anymore so please don't ask me about it. Thank you" [7].

One issue that is frequently overlooked when discussing Wade's actions is her problem with impersonators, as she stated on a status in November [8].

On 14th of December 2014 he made a post trying to solve all the turmoil that had formed because of shipping [9]. He stated that he had asked people not to ship Toby with anyone but Clockwork because that was what he was comfortable with, but he realized that decision was pointless and didn't care at this point. The situation had gone out of control and there were people bashing creators who shipped Toby with others or with their own characters. He apologized to the hurt and asked people to stop the white knighting. In addition, he recognized "I wasn't prepared for my character to become popular on the internet. I really wasn't. I never thought it would happen and I'm still not good at dealing with it. In fact I suck at it, it's true". He was 15 at the moment.

In 2015, they got into Marvel, even having a tumblr blog where she drew Deadpool replying the asks of her followers. At the end of their bio, it could be read: "I will not reply to notes or comments regarding Ticci-Toby or anything Creepypasta related, sorry." [10]. This message was deleted months later, so their profile didn't mention Toby or creepypasta anymore. They kept the folder for her creepypasta drawings in their gallery tagged as "old".

In April 2016, he had to warn the general public that Toby wasn't real and that he was his creator [11]. People had been spreading misinformation, saying that Toby was real or was based on a real person. Wade feared that something like the tragedy of Wisconsin could happen again, it was a serious concern.

In May, Nancy made a post saying that people could still ask her about Toby [12], but later in June that year, she decided to step off the internet with the purpose of trying to improve her life, archiving the majority of her work [13]. Later in 2017, she updated her bio to let people know about her new instagram account where she mostly posts original art. It was at this point when I stopped checking her content completely, as this account, called bonejars at the beginning, was private for a while. She hasn't been very active on DeviantArt apart from the times she announced her podcast.

On the porch: Episode 2, 16 April 2020, started a wave of negativity against them. I didn't watch it at the time and it is now private so I can't say much about it, but they did some clarifications on her instagram stories later. Many users took screenshots of them and they can still be read [14]. In them, Nancy says that they came to terms many years ago with the ships, that they left the fandom because all of the drama made them miserable and that they'd wish Toby to no longer be associated with the creepypasta fandom. Despite this, they don't want people to stop doing what makes them happy, they said they're ok with headcanons and people reinterpreting the character, that they like the fanart as long as people don't profit from it. They said "I know what escapism is like and using fiction to cope with life. I would never wanna take that away from anybody". Later, they had to make further clarifications because people accused them of wanting to take Toby away from the fandom.

On 25 abril 2021, Nancy posted a new redesign of Toby on his Instagram account [15]. This version of him was significantly different from the last one. The character is older, wears different clothes and looks more realistic due to Nancy's art style development. With this design, he looks like a character from a slasher.

Many people weren't pleased with the redesign due to thinking the reason for it was to invalidate the previous one. Consequently, they brought to the surface controversies from the past. Nancy was accused of having supported two controversial figures in the creepypasta community: Laughing Jack's creator Steve Aikins (Snuffbomb) and Sally Williams' creator Shilo (la_mishi_mish).

Steve presumably harassed his ex-girlfriend and talked indecently with several young girls back in 2014 [16]. I haven't found evidence of Wade supporting him and I can't remember exactly what she said. If someone has screenshots of it, I would be grateful.

Shilo used to draw NSFW art of Sally [17]. This character is canonically 8, so she usually aged her up in this kind of content. However, she posted a compilation of sketches depicting Sally and Jeff the Killer having sex in 2015, stating it was ok for them to have intercouse because they were both 13. Shilo was 22 at the time. Several sources indicate that she stopped drawing mature content due to social pressure. Nancy and Shilo follow each other on instagram to this day.

There haven't been more references to Toby on Nancy's part since then.

◇ Ok people, get the pitchforks because now I'm gonna give my opinion!

So, what can we accuse Wade of? Of being an idiot and a hypocrite when he was a teenager, of having bad companies and managing fame poorly. I don't think we can blame them for anything else and feel that a big part of the hate they receive is undeserved.

I think she was a hypocrite because she got angry with an interpretation of Toby that she had at the beginning. What's more, Toby's story uses an interpretation of Slenderman that was invented by the fandom, proxies are not canon. It's like a fanfic of a series inspired by just a couple of photos.

Still following Shilo is yikes. However, we don't really know if they're still close and I'm personally gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. Defending Steve was a bad move, but, as some people have pointed out before, he was a teen when that happened, way younger than Steve and she could have been convinced to think he was innocent. Shilo is older too.

Being that young, she wasn't prepared for facing the bad sides of fame. Ignoring stuff, going radio silent and then saying things in the heat of the moment didn't help her a bit, but it was all that occurred to her at the time. She's tried to explain things in more detail in recent years just to go back to saying as little as possible because at this point, people get angry for whatever she says.

People say they're homophobic. Their instagram account refutes it.

People say he was mean and insulted the fandom. I remember reading a couple of statuses on DA that I thought were insensitive, but that was a long time ago. People grow and he's changed his mind a lot as you can read in his instagram stories. If you say these things referring to the post where he told people Toby wasn't real, I'm sorry, but I think he had all the right to be harsh. People said Slenderman was real, it ended up in a tragedy and now the same things were being said about Toby. Can you imagine how it's to feel you're responsible for someone's death? He was trying to protect people.

People say she went after artists that portrayed Toby in a different way than hers, yet every time she's said something that ended up hurting people, she took responsibility and apologized for it. I don't believe this person could go and directly hurt someone. Remember what I said before about her issues with impersonators and people white knighting? That could be what's happening. Even now she has problems with people pretending they know her, so be careful!

People say they have abandoned the character many times. It's true they've said they didn't want to talk about Toby on four different occasions, but I don't think they did it with that intention. Why did they redesign him then? The design we all know is inevitably tied to the creepypasta community and they want to move on from it, that's why they didn't want to talk about him. Now they made a version of the character that isn't tied to that world, so we have two Tobies, one for them and one for us. I think that's cool!

Many don't like that they can't use the old version to earn money, but I want them to understand that this is a really particular situation. Usually, people making commissions of characters that aren't theirs isn't a problem when the creator is getting money on their own (unless you're Disney, Disney has no chill). This isn't Wade's case, she has never been monetary compensated for creating or drawing Toby and she has the right of choosing not to allow the commercial use of her characters. "Give for free what you were given for free" is a rule that makes sense in this case.

I don't expect anyone to stop disliking Wade, you're free to feel whatever you want, but at least I hope that this post helps people to see that all of this is more dimensional than just "kastoway is evil". At the end of the day, she's just a dude that fucked up many times and I think her experiences can help us to not commit the same errors.

Thanks for sending an ask and there's absolutely no need to apologize for your English (yours is great and goodness knows that it's an absolute charlie foxtrot of a language/I kark it up often enough myself)! Looks like you've definitely read the main comics that feature Mr. Knight and can skip the first three bullet points below, but here's a compilation of appearances I scraped together where at least some variation of that all-white three piece suit is present, i.e. in some of these, he might have the mask and/or suit jacket off, but it's still pretty clearly the Mr. Knight suit. @seek--rest !! Seek’s mostly an mcu/spideychelle writer but has some really fantastic Felicia-centric/Felicia appearance fics up that i definitely suggest.

Both of @traincat’s Insomniac Peterfel fics are great reads that are on my (very short) list of fics i regularly re-read.

Naturally I have to suggest myself as well 🤭 I just started a new Peterfel series that I’m looking forward to updating soon! It’s a comic au without a solid timeline and is mostly just interconnected oneshots that center domestic Peterfel. I’m also working on a Felicia-centric fic based on a really cool headcanon that @peterbwatsonparker sent me about psychic/medium Felicia that I’m hoping to post in the next few weeks!! I also have a decent amount of headcanons posted on my blog that never made it into full fics, but my most popular ones (and my personal favorites) are my Mutant!Felicia headcanons.

Obviously these are just my personal recs, so I’m definitely missing some stuff, but if you’d like a complete list of Fel’s mainstream comic appearances you can find that here!!

This is to discover why she was doing so in the Universe, not about why in a marketing standpoint.

According to a Reddit Post I found, and confirmed for myself, she first started to get Bulkier at the end of the Second Civil War. Not liking the fact she woke up to find out her cousin died (HA), she tries to go back to her normal life as a Lawyer but is filled with more rage than ever before. Instead of her normal, cool demeanor, she’s fighting herself to not Hulk out and slowly slipping. It also doesn’t help that kids play out the act of Hulk dying as if it was a good thing. Issue six of the 2016 Hulk Series we finally see her turn Hulk after so long.

And her first time, it's not bulky but man is it scary looking. I like it. It gives her a monstrous look that isn’t just Hulk with boobs. She’s still as slimish as the original She-Hulk form but when hunched over and acting ferociously it removes whatever sexiness people saw in the original. Issue 7, while gray, begins the bulking up. In this form she talks normally still, but with a Hulk voice. And Issue 9 is when she really put on the muscles. In one scene, it looks like Hulk with long hair than a She-Hulk.

While Issue 11 gives us one more Wall Breaking moment, the comic eventually turns to She-Hulk the 2018 Series. And in issue 162 of that, she goes to therapy about her Gray Persona and is seemingly back to normal. Then Avengers 2018 Issue 2 happens and we get bulky Green She-Hulk for some reason. Instead of her normal talking patterns, she’s talking like the Hulk when he was Savage. In fact, the only reason I can think of it was “the Avengers need a splash of Green.”

Issue 20 of this series introduces us to the concept of Jennifer going through subconscious control muscle training and informs us about her doing a Gamma Explosion in Russia. But this issue seems to be more focused on being a “take that” to the people criticizing the new direction. And with Deadpool’s comment’s, it kind of shows they themselves missed the point of She-Hulk…

Why couldn’t she be both? Be the Bulky one while still doing the Jennifer Walter things that made her unique as a Hulk. Instead, she became Hulk with Boobs. Even with the return of the Hulk (because of course he was coming back) she continued to act like this. In Issue 47, she became the Red Widow, basically like Winter Soldier but a Hulk. Issue 50 is when she broke out of it, released the excess Gamma Energy she had and became the She-Hulk we know and love today.

So in 2022, a new She-Hulk series started with Jennifer Walters back as her Green Hulk, funny character, part time lawyer self again. And just in time too for the She-Hulk series to show the MCU the things people loved about this version of She-Hulk. Will the Bulkier one ever return? Maybe. But hopefully she’ll return with Jennifer retaining control.

Comics can be quite hard and complicated to navigate, especially when two characters have interacted for 69 years. A lot has happened in that time! I made this reading guide to help you along. It's organized by era and (mostly) in chronological order.

Okay so I’ve decided I’m gonna take some time to watch the x-men movies but even that can get messy

So which movies do you suggest I watch and in what order?

ok babe so there's of course there's plenty of lists floating online if u don't like my version, but let's go! I am going to sort the films into three categories 1. pls watch 2. eh it doesn't really hurt either way 3. avoid until u wanna or forever idk

what's important to know is that the xmcu has two timelines. there's a lot of continuity issues in general (something that never bothered me much), but essentially there is the original timeline (stewart and mckellan) which mcavoy!charles and fass!erik were apart of until 1974 when the branch occurred

1. x men first class (2011): this one is just fun. I watched the original x men when I was a kid, but If you are a new fan i'd suggest starting here to give u a taste of the x men

2. x men (2000): listen! no this is not in chrono order! no I don't care! chrono barely matters in the xmcu anyways soooo..... you've gotten a taste of the newer stuff, I want u to dive into the og!

3. x men (2003): as a cherik fan I think its important to see charles & erik's relationship and how far its deteriorated/how willing they are to use each other so you can really appreciate the newer films

4. x men last stand (2006): don't

5. wolverine origins (2009): personally I don't find this one as offensive as everyone else seems too? the plot isn't great but I love logan

6. x men days of future past (2014): we've reached it. my all time fave x men movie. it is a time travel film, which I know we can all be wary of, but everything in the past is new content and the costume design is amazing! if u want to watch this one after x men first class go for it, I just think its important to see the x men's relationship dynamics in x men 2000 bc the film balances past and present

7. x men apocalypse (2016): all u need to know about this one is erik has a flashback memory about charles and cries. that's literally it.

8. dark phoenix (2019): the only part necessary is the last three minutes when erik and charles are on a coffee date playing chess

9. &10. deadpool 1 and deadpool 2: these are also so fun! they're also so violent, so if that's not ur thing def pass. but there's a canon lesbian relationship, there's a main character with vitiligo, deadpool kills a p*do, he flirts with men and women, overall good time

11. logan (2017): listen. this is one of the best x men films. but its also so painful. its a post apocalyptic western and logan is dying. the wolverine is on his last days. and it hurts.

12. I don't want u to end on a sad note so just watch the cherik chess date in paris scene again <3

It was a genuine question. I haven’t read a lot of Batman comics. I mostly read Deadpool comics. Also who is Gotham Girl?

Sorry if I misinterpreted your question. As a Damian fan I am used to being confronted or seeing people fight me about how terrible Damian even though they most likely haven’t read much about him. Again, I am sorry if I came off rude.

You didn’t ask, but in case your interested in reading some comics about Damian, my friend @bardicious wrote a huge reading list of his appearances in Pre-New 52 and New 52 and Rebirth. Just be wary that the list is LONG.

If you are too intimated by it, here is a short list:

Batman: Son of the Demon: Damian’s first appearance in comics. Also gives you a good idea of how Talia as a character was before she was butchered by Morrison.

Batman and Son: Batman #655-#658, #663-669, #672-#675: Damian meeting Batman for the first time plus other smaller appearances after. Batman #666 is an issue I recommend since it is always alluded to in comics.

Batman: The Resurrection of Ra’s Al Ghul: Batman #670-671, Robin #168-169, Detective Comics #838-839, Nightwing #138-139, Batman Annual #26, Robin Annual #7: Gives you a greater sense of Damian’s relationship with his grandfather.

Batman and Robin (2009): After Batman dies, Dick takes over as Batman with Damian as Robin. Shows the initial struggles of Damian and Dick’s relationships as partners and how it develops into Damian’s most important relationships.

Batman Incorporated: Batman Incorporated #1-8, Batman Incorporated: Leviathan Strikes #1: After Bruce returns, he creates Batman Incorporated. Shows the difficult transition of Damian moving away from being Dick’s Robin to being Bruce’s Robin. Lead up to Damian’s death (which is also often referenced back to in comics).

Batman and Robin (2011): Occurs at the same time as Batman Incorporated. Goes more in depth into the struggle of Damian and Bruce’s relationship. Also demonstrates Bruce’s grief after Damian dies and journey to Damian’s revival.

Robin: Son Of Batman: This is basically whole book dedicated to Damian redeeming himself for what he did in the past.

Superman (2016): #10-11 and Super Sons: Superman kicks off Damian and Jon first meeting and Super Sons continues their relationship growing through their first adventures together. Damian never really got the chance to get a childhood but through Jon he is given an opportunity to experience it.

Adventures of Super Sons: Continuation of Damian and Jon’s relationship evolving.

Teen Titans(2016): If you want to watch Damian’s development stripped before your eyes slowly without having no control over it for stupid reasons this is the right comic for you. If you want to go straight to the pain start at Teen Titans Special and issue #20 on. This Damian’s main ongoing comic that Damian fans are reading for free anger or are avoiding like the plague there is no in-between.
