I love Disney and at the moment I have been trying to find someone who can roleplay Treasure Planet with me. I haven't done a roleplay like this so it will be an interesting experience. All characters must be 18+ and you can bring your own OCs. Canon x OC, Oc x oc, I am fine with that. Must be MxF.
I roleplay males and females but mostly my whole 8 + years I have always been males so I am used to being guys all the time. :D I also roleplay generations too.
Treasure Planet has been one of my favorite movies since a child and I want to control Jim but if you want, I don’t mind. We can add new scenes along the way. I do accept NSFW, as for limits we can talk about those in messages.
Other shows:
Disney:
> Rapunzel // I’m Flynn
> Zootopia // I’m Nick
Anime:
Attack On Titan // I’m Levi
Dragon Ball Z // I’m Vegeta/Future Trunks
Clannad + Clannad After Story // I’m Tomoya Okazaki
Corpse Party // Not Sure.
Another // Not Sure
Games:
Detroit Become Human // I’m Conner
Resident Evil 2/4 // I’m Leon
Life Is Strange // I’m Mr. Jefferson
The Walking Dead // I’m Lee
Little Nightmares // Unsure (Oc?)
Bramble: The Mountain King // Unsure (Oc?)
If you are interested in Treasure Planet, I’ll get your messages FIRST since that’s what I am looking for mostly.
I only added other shows in case I can't find anyone to roleplay Treasure Planet with.
I am looking for 23 and older, literate or semi-literate, open to roleplaying multiple characters at the same time, roleplaying multiple scenes, and 3rd person
I do work full time so be patient with me.

Proper Hogwarts AU.
Made this second account where I can make the proper version of the Hogwarts AU which I have on my main account usagirln120, with that one being more messy and with to many people in each year.
In the real AU, all the Chosen Ones are in different years and play out their separate stories from each other despite all of them being in the same prophecy. And the 15 Dark Lords of the Wizarding World's Underground is now 15 very dark wizards who are trying to take over (with one having succeeded *Belos*)
Izuku Midoriya started Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1980.
Satoshi Mochida started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1981.
Makoto Naegi started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1982.
Natsu Dragneel started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1984.
Hiccup Haddock started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1986.
Bill Denbrough started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1987.
Tanjiro Kamado started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1988.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1989.
Naruto Uzumaki started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1990.
Monkey D. Luffy started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1991.
Mike Wheeler started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1993.
Finney Blake started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1995.
Luz Noceda started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1996.
Ryan Ezrahler started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1997.
Emma (The Promised Neverland) started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1999.
Their will be different stories involving the 15 main characters but will also focus on Hajime Hinata, Mirabel Madrigal, Shoyo Hinata, Eren Yeager, Shuichi Saihara and Sam Giddings for the pov outside of the 15 Chosen Ones.

Even putting aside the Dorym of it all... I kinda feel like part of the reason Orym misses Dorian so much is that Dorian is kinda the next most normal person in the Crownkeepers and Bell’s Hells. Which is honestly a little wild to be saying about a runaway prince in disguise. But like...
The Crownkeepers have/had:
- A himbo dwarf Sorceror who has been singled out by a Lesser Idol in a fursuit.
- A bubbly girly-girl Warlock who is apparently her own patron (and the Spider Queen's here too, I guess)
- A Rabbit-folk Paladin who used to be a bartender in Fantasy Vegas and is now devoted to the goddess of death.
- A kleptomaniac Faun whose adoptive grandmother is an eldritch hag with the power to alter fate. Also, has a pet monkey that shits fire.
- Does Cyrus count? He’s an NPC. In any case, he’s basically the same as Dorian, but More Himbo and less useful, lol.
- A woman so intense she is literally always on fire.
Bell's Hells has/had:
- Fearne (I already explained her)
- A Werewolf who makes toys and hates Santa.
- A walking corpse who is haunted by the spirit of the necromancer who raised her from the dead. Also enjoys puppeting a dead rat.
- A purple-haired Psychic who gets her powers from an imprisoned eldritch moon monster.
- A Barbarian punk who is half Primordial Titan, half Beacon, all attitude. Also, they used to be an Aasimar before his cultist parents meddled with powers beyond mortal understanding.
- A chirpy, sentient Robot who is technically a therapist, but also really bad at it. Recently discovered religion and is real annoying about it.
- An 80 year-old man who is an erstwhile member of the legendary Vox Machina. Also, known liar and coward.
In contrast, you have Dorian (runaway prince) and Orym (just some guy).
I feel like they probably met each other for the first time and were both like, 'THANK THE GODS, SOMEONE WHO ISN'T TOTALLY BONKERS,' and just stuck to each other. Like two acquaintances at a party where they didn't know anyone else. 😂😂😂

Dungeon: The Bleakfather’s Throne
The world is heavy here, cold knaws at the bones of your companions making every step forward a struggle and the desolate wind sounds like a lamentation. Coming over the rise you see it, the regal corpse that rivals the surrounding mountains for imposing grandeur, the source of this dread season that seeks to smother all good things beneath its sorrow.
Not all archfey are tricksters or stag-crowned gentry. Like the realm they inhabit, they embody stories, emotions, and the strongest aspects of nature.  The Bleakfather is an aspect of winter at it’s most cruel and deadly, as well as the sorrow that saps the will to go on living, all too common in those long, dark months. For ages untold he has sat his mountain-hewn throne, mummified by the cold winds of his domain as the depths of his misery chokes every spark of life from the land.
So titanic in size, the bleakfather’s throne is itself a fortress inhabited by ice giants who claim decent from the archfey and raid in his name. They fear their father’s stirring from his glacial malaise, and so listen for his voice on the wind and scour the surrounding lands for any note of happiness that would defy the tyrant’s sorrowful reign.
Adventure Hooks:
With his eyes on becoming Jarl of the Bleakfather’s Children, an upstart Jotunn by the name of Talfjarn has assembled a warband and is going raiding in the realm of mortals, hunting the coast on longships the size of wargalleys with an enchanted storm at their back. Though he’s willing to crack towns open in the hopes of gathering pillage and slaves, he’s heard tell of a dragon slumbering somewhere up river that he wishes to test his mettle against.
The giants have constructed a great temple in the vault of their father’s sword hand, where the trophies of great battles are heaped and the haunted wind howls between his pillar like fingers. Here there shamans divine the Bleakfather’s will, and listen for disturbances that might dare wake him.  Unluckily for our heroes, a celebration they attended ended up getting rowdy enough that its echoes were heard all the way in the feywild..and now a squad of towering winter warriors will be showing up to crash the party and put an end to their good times.
There is power in mythology. It’s said in years beyond counting that the Bleakfather destroyed the ancient dwarven kingdom in order to steal a relic of great beauty upon which the dwarven lords and ladies swore their oath. Seeking to reunite the warring clans, a would-be hero has set her sights on breaking into the archfey’s vaults and taking back the relic.  It’s only after the party aid her in this daring task that they realize that her advisor had a very different end in mind: Waking the Bleakfather and letting him rampage through the material plane in a jealous rage, to better clear the way for a new order with the advisor at its head.

How do you think a "hero and villian are forced to work together" type of episode would have worked between Luz and Belos?
(Note, this is a rough outline of what season three could look like but without any focus on subplots.)
The intro would play the way it does in Thanks to Them, and we’d get some scenes of the Hexsquad adjusting to Earth while Luz is in school. She’d still be suffering from guilt, but it would be related to abandoning Camila without thinking about how that could affect her, especially with Manny’s death. Additionally, there would be a scene where Vee and Luz talk about what happened, and Vee apologizes for taking over Luz’s life and throwing out her things without permission. I think it’d be a good thing to give Vee some more time to develop and acknowledge her own mistake.
At school, we could have a few scenes of Luz trying to fit in and being shunned as evidence for why she was so eager to leave behind the Human Realm. We’d still have the scene of Flapjack finding the Codex and the Hexsquad deciding they’d go searching for the Titan’s Blood as a surprise for Luz. It would also be around this time that we see Gus and Hunter being Cosmic Frontier nerds. They’d get the scene of the group finding giraffes and getting terrified like in canon, and they meet Masha, who gives them a hand with the code.
It would then switch to follow Philip wandering about the Human Realm, possessing or feeding on animal corpses in an attempt to regain his strength. This would be an incredibly grim set of scenes focused on the difficulty Philip has with physical survival and regaining his strength after what the Collector did. A lot of his screentime would focus on the after effects Philip experiences after the Day of Unity. He’s falling apart and having a hard time becoming stable without a form to take over, and he would frequently be interrupted and distressed by various memories that Gus went through in King’s Tide coming back and tormenting him.
He’d start working up in forms until he got to a deer and get hit by a car just like in canon, and goop would get sprayed and spilled over the road, attracting Luz’ and Camila’s attention as they’re driving home with groceries. This is the point that Philip becomes a variable to the Hexsquad, and they start trying to plan around him.
Then, as the episode continued, each party would individually realize that the Collector is a threat to their respective goals (Luz’s goal being to save the Isles and Philip’s being to destroy them) along with the unwanted necessity of needing the other person in order to be able to stop the Collector from going on a rampage. Philip could help them make another portal if they gave him the right incentive with it. The group is rightfully conflicted on it, and Hunter is the most outspoken one on the Anti-Philip side of things for obvious reasons.
Philip would probably be more active about seeking Luz out because he’s more aware of her and the Hexsquad, while the latters are still putting pieces together about where he is and grappling with the fact that he may be an asset. Eventually, he’d move to digging up corpses and possessing them to get back his human form without actually hurting any humans before he forced himself into his human form briefly to get his clothes back and starts hauling himself to the Noceda household.
The scene of Philip knocking on the door of the house that the Hexsquad’s adopted would be very tense because, a) everyone is already there, so who’s knocking on the door, and, b) Philip is possessing a literal corpse to be here. Along with, you know, he’s Philip.
He wouldn’t ever say “I need your help to take down the Collector,” because he would not want to confess that he needs help and cannot take the Collector on alone. Instead, he makes it about how the Hexsquad needs him to make a stable portal and his magical expertise will be invaluable to them. Hell, he’ll even be generous and swear to not attack them while they’re teamed up. After a lot of debate and bargaining, they come to an agreement and start working together.
The rest of the episode is about how the various characters come to terms with having to be around the monster that tried to murder them all, and how Philip attempts to balance his recovery and creating the portal. On Halloween, they go out and have a bit of fun before they go to leave, and they still see the Tale of the Brothers Wittebane. The episode would end with the characters going through the portal, except for Vee, who stays behind how she does in canon. She’s been incredibly brave in facing and dealing with her abuser/captor, and I like that she’s not expected or forced to go along after that.
In For the Future, it would focus on King and the Collector for about half of it (with a little bit of Eda and Lilith) and the expanded Hexsquad for half of it.
On King’s side of things, he is dealing with a very sadistic and manipulative Collector (Shadow Collector, my beloved /j) They’re still playing Owl House with the Collector as Luz, but they’ve amped the stakes up. Instead of puppetifying everyone immediately, the Collector is forcing everyone to play their parts through intimidation, and if they mess up, then they start getting turned into a puppet slowly. It travels kind of like possession but slower, and the victims lose control and feeling of their limbs as the spell progresses. I’m thinking a horrifying situation that kind of goes, “my body is not my own.” Once someone is completely transformed, the spell is irreversible like petrification and basically becomes a corpse that is forced to move around and talk by the Collector. Eda, Hooty, and Lilith are set up by King as vital characters and are given a bit more leeway because King said they’re necessary for the game. Still, the Collector is becoming more violent as he starts to get bored with the game.
With the Hexsquad, Gus is quickly becoming one of the more important characters in the episode. The earring the at he took from Graye had a slice of Galderstone, which, contrary to popular belief, amplifies the complexity and scale of illusions that can be done. Using this knowledge, Gus makes and maintains an illusion as the Hexsquad walks that makes it seem as if there is nobody there without needing to hold breath the way they would with a glyph. He does a double-layered spell: one layer that has slight changes to the area around them and a couple animals to explain the noise they’re making, and another that just makes the group invisible to other eyes.
Willow and Amity will start talking properly about the way that things have changed over the past couple years and how just because Odalia and Alador made them stop being friends did not excuse the bullying that she did for years. Amity could properly acknowledge this and work to be better.
Camila is being a momma bear while also trying to adapt the way Luz did, and Luz finally gets to explain to her mother how she came to the Isles and how she fell in love with the place as a whole. It’s a really good bonding moment for the pair, and I think it could really help flesh out the way they interact as a family as a whole.
They’d stop at the Owl House and take a break, and Gus would have a moment where he talks to and connects with Philip. He explains his fascination and interest with humans and how he spent his childhood being enamored with them. He thought they were strange, amazing creatures that were good as a whole. Now, with what he’s seen in Philip’s memories, he feels disillusioned and hurt, like he’s lost a part of something integral to himself. How it that humans can be so horrible to people?
It would be really interesting to watch Philip and Gus to mourn their childhoods and the loss of that bright-eyed innocence about the world. After all, even if Philip believes humanity is good, he knows that there are bad people, and it can’t have been easy to learn that.
It would be a moment of genuine connection between the pair, and Philip could point out that there are good and bad people in every group, and that for every murderer or thief, there are doctors and authors and other amazing people who change the world. After listening to that, Gus pauses for a moment and says, “Have you ever considered that it’s the same way for witches, too?”
The pair stop talking after that.
Finally, finally, Luz and Philip get to talking about the way things are. Luz shares some of her concerns about being like him and how she’s a bad person for helping him meet the Collector. Philip roughly says, “You aren’t like me; you’re like Caleb.” Then we get a brief flashback scene as Philip explains a little bit of his childhood—being orphaned and dependent on Caleb with no one else in his life, the way he was all but destroyed when he saw his brother leave with Evelyn, how certain he was that Caleb wouldn’t abandon him, and everything else about his story.
At that point, Luz starts feeling awful about what happened with her mother and how scared she must have been when she found out that Luz wasn’t at summer camp and instead another realm. She wonders how she could be so thoughtless and what other ways she could have hurt the people she cares about. Philip points out that Camila is still alive and that there’s time to make things right between them. Hearing that, Luz runs off to go talk to her mother.
Camila is a bit surprised that her daughter comes to her suddenly and says that she needs to talk with her. They go into another room, and Luz pours her heart out about everything that happens and apologizes for leaving the way she did and not talking about things with her. Camila is gentle and comforts her, saying that she had been incredibly scared, but she’s proud of how much Luz has grown from her time in the Boiling Isles and how she could never ask her to leave someplace so dear to her forever.
Luz’s palisman wish in this is, “All I wanted is to feel like I belong somewhere,” because it still fits into her theme of being a weirdo and feeling misunderstood without putting pressure on her friends and family to bend over backwards to understand her even when they disagree. Stringbean is still her Palisman, but she’s just a snake as opposed to a snake-shifter.
Meanwhile, the Collector is becoming more and more suspicious of their “friend.” King goes away too often, and he’s always so secretive around Lilith and Eda! What if he’s planning something? What if he’s going to betray them the way Philip did? He begins preparing himself for King’s betrayal and spends some spies to follow the Titan. Eda, Lilith, Hooty, and King wander about in some of their limited time away from the Collector while they’re distracted or sleeping.
Eventually, the two groups meet up, and there’s a lot of joy for everyone as they reunite with each other, explain what’s been happening in the different realms, and introduce Eda, Lilith, and King to Camila. The Hexsquad is ecstatic to know that their loved ones are okay, as King confirms that he hasn’t seen any of them get puppetified (and King’s almost always there when that happens). However, once the shock has worn off, they realize that Philip is there, and they become incredibly suspicious about him. The situation is quickly explained, and the Eternal Oath between the two groups soothes them for now, but Lilith makes sure to tell Philip that she’s watching him for any suspicious business. The episode ends on the Collector, revealing that he’s seen the whole interaction.
In Watching and Dreaming, it would start shortly after Eda, Lilith, and Hooty were reunited with Luz and the rest of the Hexsquad. Philip is awkward and generally standing off to the side due to his mistreatment of both witches in the past and the growing realization that with the fight approaching, they will have to fight and either die or suffer, and Philip will have to turn against them in the end.
Eventually, the Collector would find the group and try to take King hostage for betraying him and working for his downfall. That would trigger an all out fight where everyone would scramble to get King free. Hunter would succeed by grabbing King and teleporting away after Amity restrains the Collector for a short period of time.
I’m not the best at describing fight scenes, but it would be a mess. Willow would be shooting vines at the Collector and making sure that everyone had the potential to get in range and get away if needed. Gus would be distracting, diverting, and attempting to visually overwhelm the Collector with his illusions. He might even try the bad memory thing again.
Amity would attack utilizing abomination matter and attempt to restrain the Collector’s movement. Hunter would have Flapjack and go about his usual teleportation-and-retreat based fighting style. King would use his Titan powers and Lilith would use potions (and Hooty) to destroy and hold back the puppet army. Eda and Camila would be doing their best to give the Collector hell while protecting their kids, and they’d be absolutely badass at it.
Philip would be fighting like the devil, and it’d be another opportunity to get a true sense and scale of his power. I’m thinking that because he’s the most durable and survived being liquified by the Collector, he jumps in to take most of the damage for the Hexsquad. Finally, Luz would be absolutely amazing with her glyph combinations now that Philip has had some time to teach her some of his combinations.
The fight would eventually end when Philip partially petrifies the Collector before Luz slams them with a glyph combination that nice again traps them in their prison. Then, the Hexsquad absolutely demolishes the tablet that’s used for the imprisoned and the real world to communicate.
There’s celebrations, laughing, crying, and hugging. People are hugging, and Amity and Luz kiss after the latter hugs her mother. Everyone’s celebrating, except for Philip. He’s standing off to the side and kind of staring at the scene before him. He’s seeing proof, actual proof, of the goodness of the witches and demons that he thought were evil. His entire life has been dedicated to a lie, and everything that he used to see as good is monstrous.
Philip is badly wounded, but he interrupts the festivities to attack the witches around him. Luz uses Stringbean to deflect the attack and begins fighting him back. With the wounds he has and the knowledge he’s been wrong his whole life, Philip is not fighting nearly as well as he does in his prime, making it easier for Luz to fight against him on more equal ground.
Luz asks him to stop, saying that there has to be some other way to resolve the situation. Now that she understands the situation and what caused it, maybe find another way. (Basically, she tries to pull a Steven Universe)
“How else could this have ended with how far I’ve gone?” Philip asks, continuing to fight. They continue to fight, the man getting more and more injured as they go on. Eventually, he’s too wounded to go on, and his body gives out beneath him. He passes on soon after. Luz is there when he dies, but she is not responsible for it. I want it to feel kind of somber, because he’s a pretty tragic character as a whole.
————
That’s my idea for Season Three if Philip and Luz had to team up. A lot of Thanks to Them comes from @chiconisroc’s “Was Not The Hero,” because it’s got the same sort of premise.

8/?? Seek and Destroy
(Previous) | (Index) | (Next)
We return to the movie that I wish to spin in a centrifuge until it separates into layers of its constituent parts, Prometheus.
Content warning for desecration of a dead body, continuing bumblefuck destruction of alien artifacts, and David being the adversarial two year old that he literally is.
Before we begin: Have you turned off Tumblr’s latest “feature”, which opens your account up to AI data harvesting? If not: do it! Log in from a web browser (the app doesn’t have this checkbox yet), go to “Blog Settings”, scroll down to “Visibility”, and turn on “Prevent third-party sharing for [BLOG NAME]”. Do this for each blog you have. Do it. Do it now. Tell your friends, it’s the hot new thing. Run free into the wilderness. This message will repeat whenever I feel like it.
Anyway, on with the show.
Tumblr media
David is the most prepared crew member. While nobody else seems to have a single clue between their ears and most of the crew wasn’t even briefed prior to setting out, David has been studying for the past two years, treating language as a puzzle. He’s going to take what he learned and apply it to anything he finds in the alien complex.
Tumblr media
And he will apply it whenever the mood takes him, because he is, again, two years old. That was the sense I got in the theater–he finds things he can mess with, and does so without hesitation or consultation with the humans. And while my instincts were still screaming that they shouldn’t even have landed yet, his behavior was the only one that made sense. He has been taught that he is only wanted when he’s useful. He has not been taught to keep his hands to himself. He figures the place out faster than the humans, and he seems pleased with himself for doing so. Therefore, he’s going to do so as much as possible.
As a result, we watch the cast act like screeching gibbons over a hologram. David had begun prodding at marks on the wall that look suspiciously like cuneiform (I’ll rant about it later), and he turned on a hologram projector. Simian crew noises ensue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those in the audience who are in the know are also expected to begin screeching excitedly at this point. The hallways they’re in are already taking on H. R. Giger’s signature biomechanical style. These holograms are showing us eight foot tall beings similar to his Space Jockey design.
Tumblr media
The Space Jockey, named as such by the Alien production team, was one of those mysterious things about the original movie. Fused to what might have been the helm of the ship, seemingly alone with a hold full of carefully-arranged xenomorph eggs, and long-dead from a chestburster that had infected it. It set a warning signal before its death, misinterpreted by the crew of the Nostromo.
The movie never explained what the Space Jockey had been doing. Was this a cargo ship? A weapon? Was xenomorph reproduction somehow linked to the Space Jockey lifestyle? Their religion? Absolutely no information was given, and thus depictions of the Space Jockeys in subsequent media were split on whether they were benevolent, malevolent, entirely indifferent toward others, or simply too alien to be understood.
Tumblr media
Physically, it was a complicated design for Alien’s crew to pull off, even as a corpse. The studio didn’t want to budget for it, and Giger ended up putting in a lot of extra work to help finish the statue. To make it seem even bigger than it was, the children of Ridley Scott and cinematographer Derek Vanlint were put into miniature space suits to give a sense of titanic scale to the creature, three times their height.
Scott made the logistical decision in Prometheus to scale these beings down significantly, purely for the difficulty in setting up shots and creating more sets scaled to this thing. It’s understandable, but I know some people are disappointed by it. As are others by the obvious implication you first get in this scene: the Space Jockey’s truly bizarre appearance is simply some sort of suit, worn by the far more humanoid aliens already seen in Prometheus’ opening.
Tumblr media
Normally, I might be among those disappointed by that. I love monsters dearly, if my blog doesn’t give that away already. But there is a minimum threshold for inhuman features that the Engineers still meet for me. Something about the eyes and the uncanny look of their skin, both of which were deliberate choices by Ridley Scott and Neal Scanlan, the film’s creature designer who started with the Henson Company on movies like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, and has worked on the new Star Warses, including the absolutely fantastic Andor. Even in behind-the-scenes shots, they manage to look just odd enough to be pleasing to me.
Tumblr media
(https://www.deviantart.com/pretty--kittie/art/Prometheus-Engineer-407324586)
I respect the design work that went into it and I like the final result, though I am very sympathetic to those who felt that this was an unnecessary explanation for a creature that was a more powerful symbol when it had no explanation.
Talking about such things is my happy place, and unfortunately we have to go back to The Bad Place now. The characters.
Tumblr media
They find an alien corpse decapitated by a door (the great goddess O’Sha is most displeased), and within two minutes they’re sticking a meat thermometer in it.
Fifield the geologist has a panic attack, which is pretty relatable.
Tumblr media
“Look, I'm just a geologist. I like rocks. I love! rocks!
Now it's clear you two don't give a shit about rocks.”
He’s right and he should say it. They should still be orbiting the planet looking for artificial structures, and Fifield should be having fun doing an aeromagnetic survey or something.
But no. Meat thermometer. Sorry, “carbon reader”. Says the body’s been dead about two thousand years. They have just punched a hole in the first alien body they’ve ever found, to get precisely one data point. This is what is called a “destructive analysis.”
Destructive analysis is a technical term, so let me define it: You know how a team just read the text inside of a charcoalized lump that used to be a Roman scroll? How they didn’t destroy anything in the scroll to do that? How we might be on a path to getting so many ancient texts it could radically reshape our understanding of the period, and all it will take is some fancy x-ray scans and computers? The opposite of that. Think the opposite of that.
Tumblr media
I’m going to go on a tangent out of pure spite and desire to educate. Carbon dating is complicated. There’s two isotopes (types) of carbon: Carbon 14 and carbon 12. C-14 is very, veeeery slightly radioactive, which means it will eventually burp out a little subatomic particle and turn into the non-radioactive Nitrogen 14. C-14 is mostly created in our atmosphere, so once something’s dead and in the ground, it’s not gaining any more C-14, it’s slowly turning into N-14.
We know how long C-14 takes to turn into N-14, it’s about 50,000 years to lose all but 0.2% of the original C-14. If you know how much C-14 something should start with, then you can take a look at how much C-14 your sample actually has, and you can calculate how long it’s been dead. Here’s a quick explainer from Scientific American to visually summarize this.
youtube
Now, the more complicated part. You have to know the starting conditions if you want to be accurate. You have to calibrate everything, because the amount of C-14 available in an environment can change over time. We have ways of doing this, but it usually means carefully studying the environment and other clues.
So if you were to actually find carbon-based alien corpses on an alien planet, you’d need to identify the atmospheric carbon isotope ratio, and then you’d be able to make a sketchy, poorly-calibrated estimation, that could be wildly off by a large margin. A critter that did a lot of traveling in its life would be especially hard to date, as you couldn’t be sure if it’d lived where you found it for long enough to take up the local C-14 levels.
In this case, their fancy meat thermometer might be plugged directly into the script, because the number they give is only about 60 years off the actual death date. How do I know this? Because of a thing I’m not saying yet.
That’s enough for this post right now. But I’m not done with this moment. I don’t like this moment, and I need to properly explain why. Next time.

Jack The Ripper Cases Files Chapter 15 Spoilers (thanks to @huntersmoon1 for the images)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Red Widow gave Jack "The Duster's Book", where it has infos on criminals. It shows the crimes they committed, ranking, and reward for capture. Mother Goose's Poggy/Boggy is ranked A and his bounty is £2,000. (gahdamn💀💀)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Noah was also in the book. He is an S rank, with the bounty of £10,000 (woahouhhhh😮😮). Jack was ALSO in the book, an S rank and with the bounty of £12,000 (GYAATTT)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Right now, they're trying to find Pimon, the assumed boss of Thames Trading Company. He was an SSS rank criminal, and has the highest bounty - £50,000. To find him, they had to go in disguise as waiters on a cruise ship/titanic where Pimon is holding a birthday party.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There they are at the cruise. Luna doing a good job as a waitress, and Jack being Jack, playing the piano to impress the audience 😍😍🤭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOOK AT HIM GOOOOO ♥♥♥💗 Some sources said he's playing "Aria" ♥♥
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here comes Pimon and his minions.
Pimon, The King of Corpses : 50mil
Lord Morton, Dark Aristocrat : 23mil
Alaric, Cold-Blooded Golden Lion : 22mil
Hummer, Immortality : 21mil
And Bjorn, Iron Berserker : 24mil
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack is imagining them jumping him, and for some reason he's excited by that. (LOOK AT THOSE DOLLS- 😭😭)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luna is scared in her pants right now, and suggesting they should run. However, Jack suddenly is nowhere to be seen.
NOW WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALLAH HIMSELF ARE YOU DOING JACK?!?!?😨😭😭💀

TW: Gore, death, viruses, blood, depictions of violence.
Red Hood that comes back to Gotham at the same time he does in canon, but not in the way you'd expect.
Everyone knows the Lazarus Pit changes you, for better or for worse. For Jason, it was so, so much worse.
Imagine the moment he steps out of the Lazarus Pit, with Ra's Al Ghul smirking at the idea that he may, finally, defeat The Dark Knight once and for all.
But that smirk is wiped off his face the minute he sees what he has created.
It's morose. It's ugly. It's grotesque. The skin on his body hangs off the bone and makes a disgusting squelch whenever his feet hits the ground. His arms are drawn upwards towards Ra's, his iris' non-existent and his mouth agape. He staggers towards the Demon's Head, hands grasping at nothing as he stumbles his way towards him.
Ra's Al Ghul has made a zombie. A disgusting, hideous zombie.
It's then when he gets a sick and twisted idea. He traps the undead Jason, and carts him away in a wooden box with "Gotham City" on the label. He's dropped in front of Wayne Tower, and the box he's kept in is opened. He's unleashed, and Jason Todd's reign of terror begins.
Though what Ra's didn't account for, is the zombie's intelligence.
He goes about it systematically. Secretly. Going for little-known thugs and criminals in dark alleyways first, before moving on to drunk party-goers and drugged out civilians that happened to stumble across him in the dead of night. Soon enough, he has an army. An army of unsightly and repulsive walking corpses.
When he's ready, he strikes in the middle of the day. He targets hospitals, shopping centers, and high-rise offices. Within 30 minutes, half of Gotham is overrun by the walking dead.
The Batfamily are on red alert. Nightwing is pulled from Blüdhaven and Bruce finally allows Alfred his time to shine with his vast variety of firearms. Superman. Starfire. Raven. Martian Manhunter. Everyone from the elite meta groups across America are called in to deal with this potentially world-ending threat.
It's only until Tim Drake gets bitten when they realise that this is a real danger.
First it's Tim. Then it's Flash. He got bit while leading zombies into a trap set by the Teen Titans.
Now there's a meta-user out there. An undead corpse is running around at the speed of sound, biting, scratching, and killing every living thing around it.
You know what they say, right? When one goes, the rest is soon to follow.
Next it's Green Lantern. Then it's Aquaman. Then it's Beast Boy. Then, somehow, it's fucking Superman, who got bit by one of his best friends, Wonderwoman.
Soon after that, they all go.
That's right. Earth's mightiest defenders are ripping people to shreds. Tearing innocents clean in half from the top of their heads to the bottom of their torso. It's horrific and is classified as an international emergency.
The entire world goes to shit, until Batman finds Patient Zero. He's locked the rest of his children in quarantined cells, their blood and saliva drips down the glass doors and soulless eyes stare at him as he strides past.
He jumps into the Batmobile and shoots out of the cave, mowing down the undead as he goes with regret in his eyes. Through all that lust for death and murderous gleams in the eyes, they're still human. Humans who are sick and need to be treated. Now, with most of the world's strongest fighters succumbing to this virus, he must be the one to stop it.
He discovers Patient Zero in a warehouse near the docks of Gotham. He enters, batarangs in hand and ready to be thrown at anything that moves. He sees a throne at the other end of the room where a figure sits. He creeps up to it, and realises it's made of human bones, much to his horror. As he gets closer, he makes out the face of the person who started it all.
His son. Jason Todd. The one who got away.
His batarangs clatter on the ground.
His dead son turns to him, face knarled and ruined, and his mouth opens. A horrid sound leaves his throat.
He's speaking, but he sounds like he's screaming.
"Look what you've done, father. This is your fault."
Reblogs appreciated!!

Luz and her friends race against Belos to confront the Collector and save the Boiling Isles.
Not only does this confirm that we’ll pick up where we left off (rather than For the Future following the events of the last few months from the Demon Realm side of things), but I find the specific terminology interesting. They’re racing AGAINST Belos, and the description frames it as having to make sure Belos DOESN’T come across the Collector.
Descriptions can be flawed, so maybe we’re reading into nothing... But you’d think they’d WANT Belos to meet the Collector to be instantly splatted again, right? Which reminds me of the theory/suggestion that while in the human realm, Belos figured out how to defeat the Collector, and potentially use their power for HIS plans. This sounds a lot like that, as well as the possibility of Belos trying to manipulate the Collector again, but the latter is less likely since the Collector KNOW he’s full of shit.
But who knows? Philip can be clever and still use that to his benefit. Likewise, having to race to meet the Collector first... Could just be a case of defeating them to prevent Belos from seizing that power for his own. Because they’d want Belos to fix that problem for them, UNLESS fixing the problem by himself gives him a dangerous advantage, hence the theory that Belos will use the Collector’s power as his Plan B to kill all witches.
(Belos possesses the Titan’s corpse theory anyone???)
At the same time, it gives me hope that, amidst many other things, some of them meta... The conflict will also be framed as protecting the Collector, as a previous, fellow victim to Belos, and possibly getting them on their side? Persuading them, since it seems with the Collector, there is no fighting them directly; Only talking to them under their own rules, knowing how they think, to convince them. That’s what Belos did for centuries, and that’s how King worked and has probably worked these last few months to minimize damage.
So it’s not just defeating the Collector, perhaps; But also a race to redeem and save the kid themselves, and pull him away from the path of bitter, destructive rage that someone like Belos has followed, and would delightfully drag the kid down towards. Maybe that’s his plan; Use their past, amidst other things, to make the Collector fall into a genuine wrath against everyone and everything, and lash out by destroying the isles.
Belos might just seed doubt into the poor kid’s head, pointing out how King is JUST like him, manipulating the Collector, and he’s not totally wrong. All to put the idea in the Collector’s head that nobody loves him, there’s nobody he can trust; And so he should just give up and destroy it all as retribution. And in the ashes, when nobody is left but the Collector and Belos... THEN Belos enacts whatever method he has planned to defeat the Collector, too.
But yeah, it almost sounds like a race to save the Collector and get them on their side as it is a race to save the isles. Which could make the Collector VERY mixed, because again it’s people only valuing them for power and knowledge, and not just as a person and friend. Which King might be able to provide...!
It’s the trope of the all-powerful, vulnerable neutral party who just wants to be loved for who they are and not seen as a weapon, caught between two parties, one good and the other evil, who see the potential in influencing that person for their goals. All while they have one true friend, more aligned to the protagonists, who actually does care and might end up lashing out that nobody cares for the powerful person unconditionally. Because as his ‘friend’ for months, King may have gotten a glimpse into the Collector’s loneliness and realized how similar they are...
Maybe the Collector realizes their power is the problem and gives it up to finally be seen as a person, which is great! Even if it means they can’t one-shot Belos for everyone, which is fine. OR... Belos takes advantage of this moment to take that power for himself.

these hc are so cute ! maybe what halloween costume the Li would wear individually and in a couples costume 💓💓💓
HI YES YES YES I LOVE THIS QUESTION
I'm so excited!! ok, ok, without any further ado:
what the season 2 lis would wear for halloween (individually and in a couple)
bobby.
individually: look me in the eye right now and tell me he wouldn't dress up as spider-man. especially now with the spider-verse movies.
couple: he's a silly guy so I'm thinking he could wear literally anything after a little convincing, but ultimately, I'm saying:
beast boy & raven or robin & starfire (teen titans)
scott pilgrim and ramona flowers (scott pilgrim vs the world)
shark boy and lava girl
this has gotten way too long!! pls check out more under the cut 👇
gary.
individually: most likely a star war reference. or something funny. definitely something tight
couple: again, another silly guy who would wear anything you ask him, but here are my picks:
han solo and princess leia (and he absolutely loves it)
bowser and peach, not mario tho because that's too basic
bob and helen parr (the incredibles)
ibrahim.
individually: violet man. ok, let's say violet man isn't a real thing (like, well, it isn't). he's DEFINITELY dressing as another superhero. my guess? either superman or batman.
couple: he's gonna rock the best geek couple costumes ever and he'll show off. together, you guys will either serve cunt or die trying. here are some ideas:
batman and catwoman (the batman)
wanda maximoff and vision (wandavison)
jean gray and scott summers (the x-men)
noah.
individually: he would probably wear something that's more halloween than costume party, if you get what i mean? he prolly loves the holiday 'cause of his siblings and REALLY commits to the bit. fred krueger, jason, chuck, ghost face...
couple: like I said, he commits to the bit and goes all the way but he's sticking to the horror pattern because that's how it should go. some ideas include:
emily and victor (corpse bride)
other mother and other father (coraline)
beetlejuice and lydia (yes, the red wedding dress)
lucas.
individually: something sexy but that he doesn't need to put much effort in, like a vampire or something. i can't see him going all out for halloween, i'm sorry 😭
couple: now, when in a couple, it's a tad different... he's making sure you look good together and when i say good, i mean GOOD. you guys would probably be the hottest couple at any halloween party, here are some ideas:
gomez and morticia addams (let's put that stache to use, shall we?)
mr and mrs smith
tony montana and elvira hancock (scarface)
henrik.
individually: TARZAN. and he loves wearing nothing but a thong the whole night.
couple: I bet on something fun and easy, but also cute! he just wanna have fun with you and party for a bit, so I don't think he would propose something super complex. some ideas:
johnny and mavis (hotel transylvania)
daphne and fred (scooby-doo)
lola and bugs bunny (space jam)
kassam.
individually: I'm thinking classic and boring. doesn't care much when he's on his own. classic halloween stuff.
couple: HEAR ME OUT — iconic moments from pop culture. what do I mean by that? well, I mean:
britney spears and justin timberlake in matching jeans outfits
xtina and eminem (at the ICONIC vmas)
sony and cher (like halsey did!)
carl.
individually: spock! a little on the nose for him but COME ON. he's always dressing up as a star trek character, switching up every year. I can see him wearing something marvel related too.
couple: yeah, some star trek reference for sure but since that's not my breed of nerd (sorry not sorry), I'm saying:
jessie and james (pokemon)
loki and sylvie (loki series)
link and zelda (the legend of zelda)
Tumblr media
ahh!! this was so much fun to do!! thanks for asking, anon 💝 I had a blast with your question!!
(!) I don't know enough about the missing LIs to add them to this list. if you'd like to ask for a specific islander that didn't make the list, don't be afraid to drop your request in my inbox.
more headcanons.

Villain: End Without Rest, Outer God of Ceaseless Apocalypse
How many times can a thing break before it can break no more?
The mummified corpse of a titanic dragon defies all laws of scale and destiny to sink its teeth into a bleeding sun, a fleet of ships like clockwork locusts stripmine a world for spare parts, angels gone feral parade down the road while scourging their flesh singing songs of the coming endtimes in a thousand witless tongues. All these things and more are the being known as “End without Rest”, an engine of destruction that wanders the multiverse without aim, a nomadic Armageddon looking to impose itself on the mythologies of other worlds.
End without Rest is a god for those who are convinced that final days are upon them, whether that be doom preaching madmen, the scions of crumbling empire, or religious fanatics convinced they alone will be saved. It is the impulse to ignore your own safety and the safety of others, and to instead heap all the good things of life upon a pyre and watch them burn. End without Rest senses these pyres like signal beacons, and descends on the arsonist’s innocent world to make good on all their fears.
Adventure Hooks:
Exploring the ruins of a now forgotten city leads the party into conflict with a series of strange, rust-covered automotons that seem to have been haunting the site since its fall. Pushing deeper, they find the machines defending the wreck of a long grounded astral ship, with the surrounding evidence pointing to the city’s inhabitants having died defending against an army of these constructs a thousand years ago.
A few generations ago, a charismatic priest found a book of prophecies, and took his followers out to the badlands where they could be safe from the cleansing fire that was about to destroy their homeland. The apocalypse is now overdue, and the priest’s followers have gone a bit squirly in the meantime, living off the land in pious austerity and attacking travellers and native inhabitants of the badlands for supplies. The most recent head of their congregation has decided to take a more active approach to prophecy, and has begun a series of grisly raids with the intent of triggering the endtimes by orchestrating his own omens.
The stars bleed, the horizon seems to burn, and the party have to run for cover as a falling star makes its way directly towards their camp. Returning to the smoking crater they find a Planetar angel gasping for life, heavenly light bleeding from innumerable battle wounds. With their last breath, they recount their battle with a fallen angel intent on beginning the end of the world by blowing a sacred horn. This plannetar gave its life to avert this crisis, and with their last ounce of strength to knock the horn from their foe’s hands and sent it crashing to earth. Now the party must race to find where the second “falling star” landed before their fallen adversary completes their final mission.
Background: The origins of End without Rest stand as a testament for what happens when gods and mortals meddle with the ineffable nature of fate. It begins with a petty war god watching as a world reached the predestined end of its mythology, it sun devoured by a great beast to usher in the final age of darkness and dissolution that would spell that realm’s end. This wargod was not the type to see a whole world full of people and weep at the futility of all, or rush in to try and set fate onto a different course.... she was the type to see something that could destroy pantheons and start thinking about how it could be weaponized.
End without Rest is the result of all her efforts: The body of an apocalyptic dragon, mummified from its long time in the void, pulled from the dead realms and reawakened with a supernova burning in its belly. Around this monstrosity she set a legion of constructs to maintain, defend, and reign the beast, answerable only to her. She wielded her new weapon with glee and with pride, carving out an empire of worlds that bowed to hear in fear of the apocaylpse she could bring down on them... until she fucked up and brought it down on herself instead.
With its master consumed and her divine fire burning in its furnace of a heart, there was nothing to stop End without Rest from growing, of reaching the critical mass of its own godhood, of moving from world to world ending them based on instinct alone.  This process has repeated so long that the remnants of other apocalypses have got swept up in the apocalypse engine’s wake: routed legions of the endtimes pledging themselves to its service, orphaned harbingers following it in hopes of finding meaning after their task is complete.
Titles: The Apocalypse Engine, Suneater, the unready end
Signs: Confused visions of the enditmes, animals going feral, objects rusting breaking or unraveling before they should.
Symbols: The Jaws of a beast (often black, often skeletal) closing around a red sun. Iron locusts
