Medusa as a goddess headcanons
She is the Goddess of victims (thank you, @rey-diem )
Out of all the gods, she is very rebellious and defiant against Zeus and those who follow him.
She didn't immediately become a goddess, but after a long time of self-healing and such, godhood was bestowed upon her
She has a strong hatred for Poseidon and Athena. She also feels sorry for their mortal victims who have caught their attention (same for the mortal victims who have suffered the hands of the other gods)
Medusa would be a maiden Goddess, and her sisters would be at her side.
Obvious tension between Medusa and Athena
She is a hands-on interactive Goddess. She always interacts with her worshippers and her children
She's very protective of her people and children
Hates Poseidon and Athena with a passion and tries to keep her children far, FAR away from theirs
People who have a tattoo of Medusa, she protects and they are her followers
That's all. Hope you enjoy.

yes the PJO show still has some significant changes compared to the book (the whole Medusa thing) but the understanding of the characters is spot fucking on. Like the percabeth dynamic? I’m obsessed. The mf consensus song? Hilarious. Every little thing they change they give a new thing that feels so real and in character that I just appreciate we get to see it. It’s like we get to see things that we haven’t before and they’re things that are absolutely plausible and in character for the trio.

y’all headcanoning poseidon as purposefully sending medusa’s head back to sender knowing gabe would open it is like. entirely missing the point of sally jackson’s character and also SO fucked up if it was poseidon?? who used medusa’s head to kill an asshole man?? like!! what the fuck! not to mention sally jackson?? ms. sally jackson? who kills her abusive husband? who on multiple occasions rejected the help of the man who is both a god and her former lover bc she wants to build her life herself—? and who does it? “if my life is to mean anything, i have to live it myself.” those are sally jackson’s words. the abuse itself was already incredibly watered down in the show and that is upsetting. to have gabe accidentally kill himself because he’s a bumbling idiot waters down her agency against her abuse and is even more so upsetting. to have not just a man but a literal god kill her husband for her is so. do you not see how that’s even worse. and then add in that god being poseidon and the method of murder is medusa’s head? i don’t even have words to articulate it, just—
no matter how you cut it, narratively you only disrespect and degrade sally when gabe’s life is taken by any hand that isn’t hers, and having that hand be poseidon’s is just wild.

nobody asked, but here’s a snippet of Ares being the best brother, and Aphrodite being a badass
However, just before the weapon could lick a slobbering, bloody wound across her neck, something crashed into Zeus, throwing him off-kilter and causing him to stumble backward. His hand released Athena, and she slumped weakly down to the ichor-smeared pavilion. Even with her crushed, gushing nose, she could smell ash and smoke, and when she looked up, she saw none other than Ares grappling through the rain with their father.
Dark streams of smoke were billowing out of Ares’ mouth. He looked like a fire-breathing dragon, his expression all contorted with anger, but he wore a wide smirk, tusks already smudged with a few drops of ichor.
Athena had always looked down on Ares’ fighting style, but watching him now, parrying and striking, she knew she greatly underestimated her brother. As reckless and wild as he was, Ares was strong. Zeus landed several blows against him, but Ares was the type to not care about how many times he was hit, so long as his enemy fell before him.
However, despite his best effort, Zeus would always be stronger.
Zeus was holding back against Athena. He could easily kill her, but he didn’t because she was still useful to him.
But Ares? He would gladly smite Ares. Maybe he’d just been waiting for the perfect opportunity.
So when Zeus managed to blow Ares down onto his back, Athena felt a sharp pang of terror spear itself through her stomach. She tried to get up, but the pain of her wounds made her falter. Her broken arm was slowly reshaping itself, and her smashed nose pieced itself back together, bit by bit.
“Ares,” Athena rasped, reaching for her brother.
“While in this sorry state of hers, Athena is finally beneath you, and yet, you leap to her aid,” Zeus said to Ares. “Disappointing. But not surprising coming from you.” He raised a lightning-infused blade high. “I’m happy to allow you to share her punishment.”
“No— Ares!” Athena cried.
Zeus’ blade came down, and the sound of metal scraping against metal filled the air. The hooked sword went flying across the garden, lodging itself in the mud.
“Oh, you have no idea how long I have been waiting to do that,” said Aphrodite, standing guard before both Ares and Athena, a thorn-coiled battle axe with a blade of rose gold hefted on one of her shoulders.
“You too, Aphrodite?” Zeus said.
Aphrodite gave a dainty shrug. “I couldn’t let these two have all the fun.” Then, she stomped hard on the ground, and thorny tendrils erupted from the earth, whipping madly around Zeus.
“Help Athena,” Aphrodite ordered Ares, who looked extremely starstruck. “I’ll keep him distracted.”
Ares shook himself out of his dazzled stupor and nodded, rushing over to where Athena was still sprawled prone on the ground. He extended a hand to her, and Athena took it, allowing her brother to pull her to her feet.
“Are you alright?” Ares asked her.
“I’ve been better,” Athena grunted, smacking her side firmly and popping a dislocated rib back into place.
Aphrodite’s boisterous laughter caught Athena’s attention, and she looked up to see the goddess dueling with Zeus in the storm. She was handling herself a lot better than Athena expected, effortlessly swinging her battle axe and summoning snarls of rose vines to aid her in combat. Athena often forgot just how powerful Aphrodite truly was; she was practically a primordial, older than even Zeus and his siblings. The only reason why her strength wasn’t commonly exhibited was because she simply chose not to show it off.
Now, that cap to her wellspring of power was removed, and she whooped and hollered in excitement as she contended against the King of Gods.
“What a rush!” Aphrodite boomed. “I haven’t felt like this in forever!”
At Athena’s side, Ares gave a wistful sigh. “Isn’t she incredible?”
“Keep it in your loincloth, Ares,” Athena said.

Medusa cabin headcanons
The aphrodite cabin are jealous of Medusa's children because they inherited their mother's beauty.
They dislike Poseidon and Athena cabin, but oddly enough, they tolerate the Pegasai.
They don't like being touched without their permission, so if you touch them out of nowhere without their consent, it won't end well
They have great manners, are respectful, and believe in consent. If the new members of their cabin dont have any mannerism, then the members of Medusa's cabin will teach them (Some people see that as old fashioned, but they don't care)
Both the girls and the boys of Medusa cabin are respectful to one another and respect each other's boundaries. But they still act like typical siblings.
Self defense is a must in Medusa cabin considering the curse on them due to Zeus (F u Zeus 🖕)
The Medusa cabin doesn't trust so easily except when it's their siblings. So if they trust you, it's considered a HUGE honor. Same thing when they're in love.
When it comes to romantic relationships, they fall hard, they give their heart and soul into it. So you better cherish that.
They are incredibly devoted and loyal. They would never leave you and they would stick by you through thick and thin.
They can't swim due to their fear of water.
They would be able to recognize when someone is trying to push them away.
Best friends with Hades cabin, maybe Hephaestus and Apollo cabin
Since their mother was considered a monster for a time, the kids sometimes make friends with some of the monsters from their mythology similar to Hephaestus
They sense people who have their mother's tattoo
They may look scary on the inside but they are actually very nice
They like animals more than actual people
Hate animal abuse with a strong passion
Can detect when someone is lying to them
Their hair snakes talk to them.....a lot
Hates bullies, and people who disrespect their mother or those that are different.
Hates Zeus, Athena, and Poseidon with a strong passion
They prefer to hear two sides of the story before making assumptions
They don't like people who make false claims about assault of any kind. (It's not a joke and it's not funny.)
They respect loyal partners whether it's in a team, friendship or a relationship of any kind.
Like their mother, they are defiant and will always look for another way in a life and death situation.
Enjoy you guys

well i went and made another another kagerou project playlist (really i just edited the same one again) theres a few official orders out there, but i wanted to make my own that i personally thought might be good for newbies. i even included the spoken prologues/epilogues (or whatever you'd call them) from the albums!
if you'd rather listen/watch them in chronological order of release (i'm usually the same way), unfortunately i don't have a list or playlist for that, but you can find that kind of information on the fandom wiki
i tried to find a place for every song, but what's not included are the official covers, which can be found on the album Mekakucity M's (you will likely find it split between "Mekakucity M's 1" and "Mekakucity M's 2") i highly recommend them whether or not you prefer human over vocaloid!
if you dont know what the hell im posting about at all-- the Kagerou Project ("kagepro") is a mixed media series about kids with special powers stuck in a timeloop (simplest way to put it). the full story is told across vocaloid songs, light novels, a manga, an anime, and more. the interesting part is that these different stories are not necessarily adaptations of the same story, but rather depicting different routes/timelines of the timeloop and have different endings. if this playlist interest you, the official order is music -> manga -> novels -> anime, plus an animated short film that has a currently unknown placement (some later songs are likely adaptations of some novel chapters, and frankly i think you could swap novels and manga and not lose out on anything, but i dont want to make it too complicated... anyway) i have been a huge nerd about it for over a decade now so feel free to ask me questions because it is a bit convoluted, not gonna lie, but i love that kind of thing. ok anyway please give it a shot!!

Title: Medusa Girls
Author: Tera Lynn Childs
Series or standalone: series
Publication year: 2011
Genres: fiction, mythology, fantasy, paranormal, romance, supernatural
Blurb: Three teenage descendants of Medusa, the once-beautiful gorgon maligned in myth, must reunite and embrace their fates. Grace just moved to San Francisco, and is excited to start over at a new school. The change is full of fresh possibilities, but it's also a tiny bit scary. It gets scarier when a minotaur walks in the door...and even more shocking when a girl who looks just like her shows up to fight the monster. Gretchen is tired of monsters pulling her out into the wee hours, but what can she do? Sending the minotaur back to his bleak home is just another notch on her combat belt. She never expected to run into this girl who could be her double, though. Greer has her life pretty well put together, thank you very much...but that all tilts sideways when two girls who look eerily like her appear on her doorstep and claim they're triplets, supernatural descendants of some hideous creature from Greek myth, destined to spend their lives hunting monsters.

I feel like DTK and Chrona could have a very interesting conversation about gender.
I mean, I headcanon Chrona as someone who was never taught what gender/biological sex is. They just adopted the pronouns that Ragnarok and Medusa used in them (she/her (like "you fight like a little girl" kind of thing)) without thinking about it until they meet the main cast.
And, as far as we've seen, Shinigami gave Kid a male identity right as he was created, but I can picture him motivating this fragment to experiment with gender expression and sexuality as he pleased, ending up whit a He/They DTK. Still he would have a rather lax understanding of gender identity.
