The Horai were the goddesses of seasons and natural portions of time.
Chose to portray them as triplets this time. Of course, It would be fun to depict them as more "elemental", but I went with simple human designs for this. I plan to have them printed on my new thank-you cards soon. ✨

Just curious, what inspired the designs of the tattoos Artemis has? Was she depicted with them in ancient art or described as so? Love her design btw
Thank you. <3 I haven't seen her in ancient art or anything with tattoos, I've just taken some creative liberty with her design. They are based on Thracian tattoos I've seen depicted on Thracian women greek artists drew on pottery. Generally, from what I've read so far, tattoos were seen as a barbaric custom among ancient Greeks and were implemented on prisoners and slaves. Kind of interesting how these kinds of attitudes about tattoos are still prevailing to this day among more conservative groups.

Who are the gods behind Zeus in your Dialogues comic panel? I think I distinguish Hera and Aphrodite but I don't know the other two
You are right about Aphrodite, the one that looks like Hera... I made her look similar to her for ~reasons~ lol. (But perhaps I should have differentiated her a bit more) Regarding the man with the horns, I didn't have anything specific in mind, just that he was a river god of some sort, one of the Potamoi. The older woman is low-key a first pass at Rhea.

Very this, but that’s part of the appeal.
I strongly believe that in all Greco-Roman mythology no one has a weirder or more hilarious alternative origin story than Orion in the version in which he has Zeus, Poseidon and Hermes as fathers: „… that huge giant born of no marriage-bed, threefather Orion, sprang up from his mother earth, after a shower of piss from three gods grew in generative fruitfulness to the selfmade shape of a child, having impregnated a wrinkled of fruitful oxhide.” (Nonnos, Dionysiaca)
I wanna know what the person who came up with this idea was smoking.

*Notes: I love making comics but find the writing process difficult, this is something I need to work on, as I have so many ideas but struggle to write them out. I stumbled upon Lucian's Dialogues on Tumblr and thought his charming, tongue-in-cheek style would be a good way for me to practice my comic-making. :')
"Lucian of Samosata was a Greek satirist who flourished in the region of Commagene near Syria in the C2nd A.D. He was the author of numerous works, which include: The Dialogues of the Gods, Dialogues of the Sea Gods, and Dialogues of the Dead."
I opted for a simple color scheme because as much as I love full-color comics, it would take me so much longer to get this done.

I just read your Dialogues of the Gods and HAJZNANSNX it's so fun!!! I love the dynamics, the writing and Aphrodite being Aphrodite! The tidbit of Artemis only thinking about the wilderness and the forests makes me giggle every time. I love it so much! I love your designs for Ares, Eros and Aphrodite too!!
Hehe, I'm happy you enjoyed it :D and thank you sm! <333

LOVED the comic, utterly delightful! You might also like the Heroides by Ovid, they are a series of imagined letters written by mostly women from Greek myth to male heroes.
Thank you so much! <3 I'll check it out, that sounds intriguing.
