i think overall there were so many good character interaction scenes and i wish that the development from those happened ages ago. the characters felt very cartoony and stagnant for a while tbh.

this episode did however remind me of how much i love viktor + allison’s relationship istg they need interaction s4 plssss they’re so fucked up but they lvoe each other so much bro

my wishlist for s4 only grows 😔

Im sorry... but i dont see mike being bi a possibility... like at first when i saw st and byler i didnt care what they were as long as they were together, but then i rewatched all the eps and thought hm,, every "main" character (that is in the show for more than 1szn) seems to show attraction to the gender theyre attracted to (since this is a show at the end of the day)

steve likes women, nancy men (steve nd jon), max men (steve nd lucas), hopper women (joyce and that one woman he was with in s1) ...and mike men (eddie and just look at the posters in his room bro. also lil details in scenes like how he generally went to guys when looking for a dnd player etcetc, theres tons of analysis on that)

sure they might be bi or pan but i dont think in s5 there will be much time to, like, expand their attractions yk

sure mike called el pretty and beautiful in s1 and s2 but he prob just did it bc he isnt a bitch.. like if u see ur date or wtvr u would compliment them, bc i imagine he prob knew it would be nice to tell el that since she cared ab it in s1. and when he called her pretty in s1 for the first time he was just like "yeah u look nice😐". not showing us if he said it in a attracted-to-her way but instead showing us its more in a casual way. like how id compliment my friend's dress or shirt or smth. then the second time he could see she was sad and he ofc wanted to comfort her, again bc hes not a bitch

ig u can say "he still kissed her" but oh god thats a whole other story about comp het and his child brain not understanding the heteronormative society, he just thought "yeah its just like that". ig u can say he smiled after that, but that could also be from him feeling proud or smth bc he just had his first kiss and the heteronormative society tells him thats the goal - kissing and getting a gf (he def thought if u kiss a girl shes automatically ur gf or smth. again child brain)

kissing in s3? he's in too deep, he's not a mean bitch so he doesn't want to break el's heart bc hey, atleast she seems to like it!! the first ACTUAL, EXPLICIT reaction to kissing girls (in my theory atleast, if u think in s1 he liked it go off queen) we get is negative, in the last ep of s3. poor guy he genuinely seemed happy as friends with el, and even relieved, dare i say, but as soon as she kissed him i don't think we saw him smile for a loong time (till eddie's cafeteria speech in s4 (a guy))

anyway... in short i jst think he's nice and doesn't want to hurt el's feelings (contrary to popular belief) and also is scared bc yk. it's the 80s and he has queer feelings and allat

ok wait can you explain who has what rings and who can control who at this point because i never actually believed the sentimonster thing would actually happen and so now that it is im v confused hahahahahahahahaha

It’s funny u would ask me in particular bc I was just complaining to my friends on discord that I can’t keep track DJDKMDS but here is my understanding:

Pre-felix episode: Felix’s amok ring is on emilie’s finger. Gabriel has been wearing Adrien’s (?)

Felix: gabriel removes Felix’s ring from emilie’s finger and puts it on as a precaution since felix is visiting. Amalie demands it back, knowing it contains her son’s amok (why didn’t she have it in the first place then? why would she allow emilie to have her son’s amok? Idk). Felix steals the ring from Gabriel’s finger. Felix now has his own amok, which he offers to his mother but she lets him keep it.

Gabriel Agreste: Felix pretends to give up the ring but it’s a fake, gabe realizes this and sends sentigabe after him, in the end he lets felix keep the ring (? Why? Also this is confusing bc I rewatched this ep and I didn’t see akumatized sentigabe ever getting the ring from felix, but in the end he actually gives it back to felix, who already had it?? I’m so lost lol)

Risk: gabe hands off his ring to nathalie to control adrien while they’re on their trip

Strike Back: felix gives up his ring and gives gabe ladybug’s yo-yo in exchange for the peacock miraculous (which I don’t really understand bc the yo-yo itself should’ve been enough collateral? why would he give gabe back the ring containing his own amok? He has the peacock now which means he’s safe from being snapped but now gabe can control him ??)

So at the end of s4: Gabriel has Emilie’s ring with the ability to control felix, Nathalie has Gabriel’s ring with the ability to control adrien. (theoretically)

However, there is still a lot we don’t know that may be revealed later. For example…

Is the ring felix gave gabe another fake? (Potentially, because again I don’t get why he would willingly give up the ring as part of the deal when it wasn’t necessary. but he knows that gabe was able to tell the real one apart from a fake one the first time, so it seems unlikely he’d try that trick again)

Did Nathalie still have the ring at the end of the episode? Was it possibly stolen by felix on the train, or even lila? (Lila’s evil smile while nathalie was collapsing certainly seemed significant for something, but then again I don’t know how lila would have figured out anything concerning the rings. If felix did steal the ring from Nathalie, that might explain why he was unconcerned about giving the other ring to gabe—maybe he was simply giving Adrien’s ring back to gabe while he still had his own ring safely tucked away.)

Do the twin rings somehow contain both amoks together? Could adrien and felix potentially share one amok? (In the episode Felix it seemed like the rings could come together as one ring, like each one is one half of a whole. We know from crocoduel that one akuma can go into an item which can then be broken into two parts, and to release the akuma you first need to unite the parts before you break them together. We also know from multiple examples that one akuma can akumatize multiple people at once—like crocoduel, the punisher trio, etc. If we assume the peacock miraculous works the same way, then theoretically both adrien and felix could be made from one amok—presumably created by emilie—and that amok could have been contained in one ring that was then split into two. Meaning that both rings contain part of a shared amok and can be used to control both felix and adrien, and to destroy the shared amok the rings would need to be put together and then destroyed.)

I have so many thoughts and the more I think the more confused I get tbh. So I hope this was actually helpful instead of just more confusing 😂 I think for a lot of this we need to just wait and see!

STUFF I DIDNT LIKE IN MYSTREET S1:

• This is probably the only season where Aphmau does not act like a literal child so props for that

• Also I liked the ‘Don’t tell mom!’ episode cuz Ro’meave supremacy

• k I’m gonna stop telling the boring stuff here’s the actual start

• Ok so at this point mystreet was basically a sandbox roleplay of mcd characters in a modern day setting which is NOT A BAD THING but it did lead to a lot of mcd references, whether it was Garroth and Laurance changing into their mcd forms or Zane somehow brandishing his sword from thin air. Again, NOT A BAD THING but it did make it a bit weird especially after the whole ‘mcd and mys are related‘ plotline s4 onwards

• Dante should not have had a crush on Aphmau like no hate if you ship it but the way canon dealt with it he never stood a chance. once again no hate :)

• Aarmau was a bit rushed in my opinion, tho it isn’t so evident. but the fact that Aph just unquestioningly gets closer to Aaron doesn’t sit right with me. just like mcd s1 it feels like she’s just going off a script, which she technically is but it isn’t supposed to be that evident. I would’ve liked Aphmau to question her relationship, tell aaron that she needed time or to take it slowly. They couldve still gotten together at the end of the season with a much better narrative. I dont exactly focus on ships involving aphmau that much but even I can appreciate some well written slowburn. which this was not. let’s not get into the age gap in pdh THAT WAS NOT OK but I’ll elaborate on it in a separate post otherwise I’ll just keep ranting about it here

• Garrance literally kiss on screen and nothing happens?? I don’t exactly remember what happened after it cuz I haven’t rewatched in a while but I’m pretty sure that they just went back to normal :/ (correct me if I’m wrong tho!!) is this queerbait? can I call this queerbait?? can we not have queerbait please?

• IM SORRY WHAT WAS KC’S CHARACTER. She was so nice in mcd. she worked well as a side character and her writing was done well in my opinion. WHAT HAPPENED HERE. This girl is literally a walking aarmau advertisement. I get it you wanted to promote the main ship but at least don’t ruin her character for it. I don’t really like her mys version for this reason and I prefer to use my hc version (tho this goes for all characters) Please give this girl some actual character development. by the end of this season all we know about her is that her name is kawaii~chan, she likes pink, she loves ships, yay aarmau is sailing, don’t get in the way of kawaii~chan’s ship!! Name ANYTHING ELSE THAT WE KNOW ABOUT HER LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE

• I really don’t like how some potentially triggering and more serious themes were joked about here. You can make it a comedy show without making serious topics funny. Travis makes perverted comments that I feel really border on sexual harassment at times, Katelyn keeps punching Travis every time he speaks and if that isn’t anger issues idk what is, Garroth and Laurance literally stalk Aphmau multiple times when she’s out with Aaron and KC has a goddamn aarmau shrine in her basement. The first time I watched it, it slipped past me but the second time I really looked at it and said why do we need THIS to make a show funny. • The story of Zane becoming Aphmau‘s friend was literally him taking a cat version of her home on Christmas and tearing up when she (somehow??) gave him her sweater. what was he even going to do with a cat-sized sweater?? How was THAT the good deed that turned her back into a human?? How was it going to help him?? I get that magic exists in this world and this incident can definitely be a part of their friendship story...but don’t make it the ONLY part of their story. youre telling me that THIS is the reason he’s willing to turn himself into a relic in s6 amidst all the blood and death and chaos??

• STOP BABYING ZANE HE‘S A GROWN MAN. I HATE it when Aph keeps cooing at him in a baby voice, especially since I hc him as autistic. the way he’s written really makes me feel that he is autistic and this ruins it

• once it’s revealed that Zane likes mlh, most of his screen time is just focused on that. He has other aspects of his character too which are never really shown and this makes him so one-dimensional which is ironically the same problem his MCD counterpart had. GIVE HIM DEVELOPMENT PLS

• Lucinda is like the ONLY character who has their shit together. good for you girl <3

• WHERE DID JEFFORY GO?? I really liked his character and we never see him after s1...in fact we barely see him IN s1. he keeps zooming in and out and then he just...stays out forever. for the record, WHERE DID BRENDAN GO?? He was like in three episodes and then he just dipped MORE MINOR CHARACTER REPRESENTATION PLS

• MORE VYLAD PLS. I get it he’s traveling the world but Aphmau is literally god so don’t say that it’s not doable

• Showing Katelyn actually recognizing her anger issues would’ve been great, and maybe joining therapy or taking a group lesson or even doing meditation would’ve been such a great development to her character and would’ve paved the way for much healthier interactions in s2. she would not have been able to fix them completely since these things don’t just go away in one day, so the s2 talk between her and Travis would still happen but it would better in my opinion (and I’ll elaborate more on this when I do a rant for s2)

• Can we have more nb and lgbtq+ representation in general?? this point is gonna be in every rant I make istg it needs to be said.

That’s a good question, and beyond “one word is all I would have needed”, I don’t have anything certain in mind. Not a literal equivalent, but there are a few comparisons.

It’s also the inversion of what happens in the episode; Culverton wants to kill anyone else, John wants to kill himself. Me, covered with a blood with a swipe of Faith’s finger, her arm still fresh from being injected with memory altering drugs. This also goes back to the conundrum will face when series 5 opens… was it a murder or suicide? Anyone, Culverton says, he’s a serial killer. Me, John’s note reads, “I left him some deductions, but he missed the big one”, Eurus says as Sherlock looks at the note again. That’s what people do, don’t they? Leave a note. So let's talk about Overhaul. (Obv S4 SPOILERS FOR MHA)

So I know we're all thinking, he's a villain. He abused a child, and this makes him a terrible person. Right?

Wrong. If you think so, I mean... it doesn't make you wrong actually. But I think it's more of a "wrong idea" kinda thing.

To be fair, this is all just a rant on my perspective because, I am a huge Overhaul fan. No, not because of his looks. Not because of his physical appearance at all, and I can't really tell you for sure if it has anything to do with his personality. But here's what I can tell you for sure- the reason he did what he did (while the way he went about it was wrong, absolutely wrong) drew me in and I found myself kinda sympathetic. Mind you I first met him in the manga and did not remember him until rewatching the anime. And then first time I watched season 4, I hated his guts. Really, I did. And even rewatching it with my sister (who is @sleepysampai in case you're wondering) I hated him, though I once again understood his reasoning to some degree. My sister can tell you, when I first saw him on screen again I was prolly snarling like some rabid dog because I was so upset at his existence. But then I watched that scene where his arms get taken away. And holy heck. That expression. Y'know, this one:

Dag. It... the entirety of this... idk how to describe it. I thought it would bring me satisfaction but ohhh no. I cannot tell you how much... PAIN I felt. Well, not very surprising coming from an empath, or at least somewhat of an empath, but. Yeah. That's when I found myself falling for Overhaul. No, not because he was in pain and I liked that look on his face, I'm not a sadist... I think.

But it was because, ultimately... that expression looked like a cry for help. And my heart really said, "yo idc if ur a villain pls lemme be ur hero- is that cool w/u Renny? it's not???? well too bad bye"

Aaand yeah. So now here I am, ranting about him. And how I think, idk if this is a popular or unpopular opinion but... I 100% firmly believe that Kai deserves redemption. In fact, I am so in love with this thought of Kai redeeming himself that I have made a few comics based off a redemption AU Kai. Although they're with my OC so yeah, y'all may not be interested... haha. Well. Anyways.

My point is, yes. Kai Chisaki did do bad things. Does that make him a terrible person? Well... No, actually. Just think about it this way: He sinned. Without a doubt. Just like every other human being, he sinned. Maybe he sinned worse than many other humans, but... we all sin and make mistakes. Maybe we don't all think we deserve to be forgiven for our sins, but... really, we all deserve a second chance. See, there's two people in this world I cannot bring myself to forgive; namely, someone who hurt me really bad, and myself. And they're both connected to the same event. The underlying reasons. The reasons why we do bad things.

See, just think. People commit crimes such as stealing. Some people certainly don't steal for good reasons, yeah? But then you have those people stealing to provide for their families, their friends, their pets or whatever. It all comes down to perspective and underlying reasons. Now, Kai's reason for ultimately using Eri was because he wanted the yakuza to rule society like it used to. It was his way of paying back the old man for saving his life and helping him. The problem was nothing more than that he had it all twisted and wrong in his head. I think, to some degree, we're all at least a little twisted. Except Mogami Jun. He's an angel.

Um, anyways... the way he went about repaying the old man was absolutely wrong. He definitely should not have 1) put said old man in a coma, 2) proceed to use the old man's granddaughter to make quirk-erasing bullets and abuse her and 3) kill Sir Nighteye and hurt sun Mirio.

Because, Overhaul:

No killing people's vibes. Or people. K? K. Moving on, yeah. I think you get what I'm saying.

So to wrap up my rant thing... Overhaul did bad things, yes, but that doesn't make him a terrible person. You can and have done terrible things, perhaps not to the same extent, but that doesn't make you a terrible person who is beyond redemption.

So I just thought I'd say that... It's probably not valid or anything bc I'm super tired and it's 3:33am. But I've felt the need to rant about it since yesterday sometime so yeah. Anyways... sorry. I first just want to say a couple things: im not a muslim woc so my thoughts on s4 don’t hold as much value as those of a muslim, woc, or a muslim woc. I also don’t know to what degree sana’s representation was true to real life. I made an effort to look for posts from muslim woc on sana’s season but to no real avail, especially given it’s been two years since skam ended and a lot of blogs have deactivated, changed urls, or posts have become buried :( [if you know of any good posts regarding sana’s season please lmk!]. from what I can recall in 2017, there were mixed opinions on s4 with most being upset (or at least disappointed) with the ultimate execution of sana’s storyline and I agree w that. while s4 means so much to me and has a really special place in my heart, I do 100% acknowledge its flaws. ok!!!!!! lets get into it😤

ep1 -as much as I wished isak stayed in kollektivet I’m glad he and even had a rlly sweet happy time this entire season. also evak making their friends move all their furniture while they whisper romantic shit to each other and makeout? peak comedy -you fuckin wish!!! -sana is the one to say “of course you should tell noora about william”.. she Knew and still takes the fall for it :( -this opening clip is such a jarring shift into sana’s pov!! e.g. while easy to overlook in previous seasons, sana’s exclusion from the girls is glaringly obvious once we’re looking through her eyes -adding onto that! sana is the friend who notices everyone else- she’s so observant, which hurts even more when you notice her friends don’t do the same (except mayhaps chris- in my heart of hearts I know chris is also the friend who notices and goes unnoticed, but unfortunately we don’t get enough of her and sana’s relationship this season to fully see that) -yousef and the balloon squad’s entrance.... ICONIC! also I cant believe for 2 seasons they presented those dickbag nissen 97s as the be all end all of hot amazing boys when the bakka third years were RIGHT THERE like,, the penetrators vs. balloon squad + even? no contest ma’am -also! it’s so interesting that we literally had no idea sana had a brother, or that yousef etc existed until now? it’s as if she has a whole private world at home, separate from her friends and nissen (and I think a theme of this season is those two worlds merging) -im obsessed w the yousana train scene but yousef being the only one who notices sana standing off to the side? ;-; -fy faen is such a stunning clip oh my god. when sana leaves to pray? possibly my favourite skam scene ever. it’s exquisite.  -sana is so cute and awkward squeezing thru the crowd shsdhgfhshdf I LOVE her love her -the last shot on yousef and noora... oh my GOD oh my god bc like. being that friend who never ever tells your real feelings or your crushes or is vulnerable with your friends?? and then having to listen to them talk about how good your crush would be with someone else (especially one of ur friends) while ur sitting there silently dying inside? and you don’t say anything since you can’t be vulnerable with your friends and u don’t think u stand a chance anyways so. (in the words of s3 noora. I think sana struck a nerve with the emotional unavailability! abbey r u ok) -this episode is a masterpiece and did such a phenomenal job of both introducing us to sana’s perspective while also touching on a multitude of her struggles AND establishing the themes of the season. plus the cinematography, editing, soundtrack and aesthetic...... o baby. (case in point I deadass just rewatched it after writing this)

ep2 -every shot of sana praying is beautiful (and beautifully edited!!) -sana’s room is usually messy... not smart enough to fully analyze this but I’m sure it means something  -an interesting contrast of what’s expected of her vs. of elias- I can’t speak for muslim families, but I know even in non-muslim families girls are always held to suchhh a higher standard (source: I have 2 brothers rip) -”if you find immaturity charming” hilarious bc sana actually does in fact find immaturity charming  -what’s interesting is how noora comes across in sana’s POV- kinda obnoxious, kinda ignorant, seemingly perfect (compared to how noora is portrayed in eva’s season, for example) -even is one of those ppl who uses the bill gates argument on why dropping out of school makes u richer sdfhfsjskfjfsd -sana staring down the pepsi max squad. fuck em up. -vilde adding magnus to the groupchat jfkjsjfdjfsfsdkj -isak missing eskild :’) sidenote I fucking live for isak and sana’s chats this season. they’re literally my lifeblood like.... 

ep3 -the kiss me scene god I go FERAL -“you need to pull it towards you, not push it away. okay?” yall mind if i SCREAM!! YOUSEF!!!!!!!!!! -there rlly is something about seeing sana, who in everyone else’s POV comes off as cold and harsh and stoic, just absolutely meltinggg when she talks w yousef like she doesn’t stop smiling she’s so sweet!!!! ah🥰 and yousef is 100% that guy who ppl tell “your gf is so intimidating and ruthless bro” and he’s like are y’all talking about sana??????? my baby?? my fuckin cinnamon apple????? -yousef’s lil smile watching sana peel carrots. 911 it’s me again -vilde and sana’s relationship has a really interesting dynamic bc like.. vilde says ignorant shit to sana while also genuinely looking up to her. and sana is probably the harshest to vilde within the group but it’s because she actually values their friendship a lot  -IM HURT BECAUSE YOU NEVER REPLIED TO MY MEME -sana pulling 2yr old receipts off the top of her head to defend vilde. god I stan -sana doin research taking notes..... shameful she isn’t canonically a virgo (honestly her and isak both but like-) -she’s so soft and smiley w her mamma awh... “of course he likes you, who doesn’t like you?” her mamma only knows the real, gentle, beautiful loving sana oh im CRY -even is so kind and loving and thoughtful yall mind if i....... -”you can’t escape the internet girl” foreshadowing mayhaps?

ep4 -david and ulrikke together are fucking hilarious -noora’s “you’re lucky you don’t have to think about this stuff, heartbreak and that” :/ it’s not just vilde who says ignorant things to sana! -that being said sana and noora are cute asf in the exper5 scene.. dorky noora rise (omg josefine and her yogurt in the bloopers too sjhfkjdf) -I HANDLE BALLS BETTER THAN YOU -the yousana scene is sooo gorgeous whew...... -I always cry a lil bit (ok a lot) when yousef brings up even. and sana knew too. even sweetie ily :( -sana talking about her religion is beautiful. it’s so lovely to learn about how she thinks and sees the world. -yousef’s smile watching sana leave like ur kidding right....... -“flawless since 99″ is so cringey. it’s so cringeyyy -sana uses “smh” I knew we were soulmates

ep5 -eavesdropping on ur parent/brother’s argument is peak sibling culture -when ur always paranoid but ur always right..... -sana’s green jumpsuit sign me up babey -I really really really love elias and sana’s conversation -u dont even realize how tiny sana is until she’s standing next to isak and even -not finding out why yousef avoided the fight and why he kissed noora will haunt me forever (could we not have expanded more on that instead of noorhelm.......) -the parallel of sana washing isak’s blood off her hands vs. her washing her hands during maghrib in episode 1. gotta sit down. -vilde gossiping to the pepsimax girls stings SO bad it’s just such a betrayal?:( -“the other girls seem cool, especially noora! she’s so pretty!” ok much to unpack here but: sana again comparing herself to noora (who she sees as /perfect/)... sana being written off despite putting so much effort and passion into the russ bus while noora, who has done literally nothing and at best is indifferent to russ, is the one they like the most. disgusteng -love will tear us apart.. bitch..... -sana abt to cry god I can’t -if sana is anything like me (I mean I think she is but jkjjkhsdfhfsd). looking stupid is the absolute worst so like, her sending out emails abt being bus boss when she was actually being lied to? being played? and her being “paranoid” about sara being shady, but deciding hey maybe im just being crazy? except she wasn’t she was right and she Knew!! and she’s probably thinking how dumb it was for her to get her hopes up, everything always ends badly anyways and no one actually likes her :((((((( -dont rlly know what my feelings are on the fight. im not against it bc isak does have a temper but his apparent motive always seemed weak to me?? and god I feel so bad for even

ep6 -forgot about sana getting bullied in middle school yall mind if I sob?? -sana lying and getting defensive bc it’s hard to be vulnerable, or because she hates looking stupid? or both?:( -isak looking up dandelions in his textbook just bc even put one behind his ear. I HATE this man -sana’s dad asking if she had a bad day aw :( -all the boys (and sana) wearing black but yousef wearing white.... what does it mean.............. -the carrots are back goddammit -radio station playing during this scene: “if I have to choose between the just non-muslim and the unjust muslim, without any doubt I would choose the non-muslim who is just” -ISAK’S NOSE SFFJDFJFSDKJSDF -sana’s text about chris I’m going to bawl my eyes out.           “yeah! looking forward (to going to nissen) but a bit worried. don’t know               anyone else starting there.”           (J: new friends?) “yes, at least one of them. I have german with her (chris)           and she’s very cool!” -the contrast of how blunt sana came off when we’re first introduced to her vs. how she was really just excited to make a new friend bc she was scared no one would like her :( especially knowing her past with bullying and how nervous she was to start at nissen? chris baby I LOVE YOU thank u ;-; -also sana keeping 2yr old conversations on her phone... same -sana is honestly too smart and scheming and overthinking for her own good. she has these elaborate plans that more-or-less always get ruined by her being more kind than she gives herself credit for (e.g. wanting to protect vilde in s1, clearing isak’s name in s4) -everyone in skam texts back so fast smh -chris calling sana “sonic”...... a moment please -I cannot watch the sana/evak apartment scene without thinking of the bloopers and losing it lmfaoooo.. “this is where we live. just come in” -ik it’s based off fanart but there is little I hate more than their matching outfits  -“remember you’re both geniuses!” 🥺even  -once again isak studying is uhhhh me - “you’re a good person” yall i love isak i really do. he puts his foot in his mouth pretty often and doesn’t have a great brain-to-mouth filter and he can be awkward and rambly and blunt and unsure of what to say in emotional situations but also? he’s so genuine. it’s just his honest thoughts and he says it bc he cares about sana and knows she needs to hear it!! -ᶠᵃᵉⁿ ᵉᵛᵉⁿ -sana’s inner turmoil.. thank u iman for inventing acting (ik I haven’t mentioned it much yet but god iman is SUCH a phenomenal actor I owe her my life) -LETS GO BITCHES

ep7 -sana crying silently in her room breaks my fucking heart (IMAN!!!!)  -idk how I feel about the instagram plot but sana watching as her plan falls into place and then storming up to sara... pretty bada$$ -“it’s creepy it was published but it’s more creepy we have a bus boss who talks shit about everyone” THANK YOU vilde -i love s4 isak thanks -sana and jamilla’s chat aw :~) -how awkward do yall think the walk to the bench was lmfao -what sana tells isak is SO powerful and I love it a lot -isak does actually make a good point- the other girls are like that too.  -unfortunately I have been in situations isak describes, where you want to learn more about your friend’s culture or religion because you care about them and you’re genuinely interested, but you don’t know what questions are okay to ask and you don’t want to sound rude or ignorant, so you ultimately end up asking no questions at all. but I hate that the responsibility is put on sana to constantly educate people bc I cannot imagine how exhausting that must be [[[ok so. I know there are VERY mixed opinions on the bench scene but here’s my dumbass two cents. 1- I genuinely think isak was trying to make sana feel better by attempting to relate to her and pass on advice that really helped him. however, I don’t think isak realized what sana eventually told him- that her experience wearing the hijab is a lot different than isak’s experience as a gay man. do I agree with everything isak said? nooo. do I understand why he said it? yeah. 2- it was not isak’s place to tell sana norwegians aren’t racist, or not to look for racism in questions. I think there’s some truth to ppl often just being ignorant, and he does add that there are probably a lot of racist people in Norway, but yeah. not great. 3- in conclusion I think while isak shared some meaningful advice w sana, he put his foot in his mouth too and said some stupid shit. im not trying to defend that. I will add, though: a. we actually do see some growth on isak’s part. when he and even are yelled at on the street, that’s the moment it clicks for him that oh shit, this is what sana was talking about. this is what she has to experience? and that’s why he texts noora, “in the speech for sana, you have to include how insanely strong she is. I don’t think many people understand how much bullshit she has to take” and b. isak’s (bad) advice of “not looking for the racism in things” is ultimately contrasted by yousef (a moc who lived most of his life as a muslim) suggesting instead to show people what islam really is. and that’s so much more meaningful. I think the root of a lot of the issues isak brought up- i.e. ignorance- is a general lack of education, representation, or effort by non-muslim people to seek out information themselves. so sana leading by example and showing what it means to her to be muslim is so much more powerful.]]] -𝒃𝒂𝒎!  -BEST BUDS 🥺

ep8 -haper du har plass weaving in and out of this episode until the chorus finally breaks when the los losers van shows up...... miss julie 😭 -oh my god the pictures. im a fucking MESS bc they’re not only significant to the scene and to sana but also like,, as part of our goodbye to the girls?? -the balloon squad and even :( while the timeline of them reconciling within just this week is kinda wack, seeing even back with his friends looking so happy makes my heart uwu so i’ll allow it just this once -eva’s message to vilde about her and magnus being able to trust each other w/o reading their texts... growth or irony -chris is such a phenomenal friend (and this is why I wanted more of her in s4!!) -sana’s phonecall to the girls breaks my fucking heart bc like. right off the bat she’s finally being vulnerable with them?? telling them about her fears and insecurities and struggles? typing this im gonna start crying lol but god I love her so much. she’s so brave and she put all that on the line bc all she really cares about are her friends, she loves them SO much even if (she thinks) they don’t love her back -lowkey sobbed so hard during the haper du har plass clip I almost threw up and it gave me a headache :)  -anyways this is one of my favourite skam clips and god just. the moment you hear the girls calling for sana??? I LOSE it. when sana just starts BEAMING omg🤧 the girls love sana and support her and if you fuck with sana you fuck with us!!!!!! god. cannot articulate how dear to my heart this scene is. -haper du har plass feels like the end of the episode and the party clip is kinda just tacked on but I love how happy everyone is!! they’re all drinking champagne (who taught isak how to hold things) and dancing and smilingggg 💛 -yousana rise!!!!!!!!  -ok don’t get me wrong I hate william for crashing the party but their entrance slow-mo kinda slaps.... also sana popping up in between noorhelm SENDS me

ep9 -this is the point in the season where the amount of time dedicated to noorhelm is beyond beyond beyond significantly damaging to the story. this is sana’s last episode!! instead of having them makeout in front of william’s car for 20 minutes mayhaps we could’ve had a conversation between the girls and sana, or with her brother (if they had continued the elias alcoholism plotline rip), or maybe even with jamilla or her mamma? like I don’t care at ALL about noora or william. give me anything else. ple a s e -what makes skam scenes so brilliant is their quiet moments!! julie let the scene breathe. not everything needs a tacky song playing over top. -I’ve said this abt like twenty clips now but MAGHRIB. oh my GOD. an absolute masterpiece and definitely tied for my all time favourite skam clip. can’t rlly put into words how stunning it is. & I love sana and yousef’s conversation so much. -“of course I brought food! my name is yousef!” mr. acar you’re the only man I trust

ep10 -as much as my heart yearns for 10 sana episodes I think splitting up the last episode of skam into individual POV clips for different characters was brilliant and such a poignant way to say goodbye :( -okay don’t think about what sana could’ve written in her texts to everyone or ur heart will go sicko mode -I won’t write anything abt this ep since I’ve already written too much but like.. (elias should’ve gotten a clip instead of william. pchris can stay because his clip was funny but he’s on thin fuckin ice) -kjaere sana was such a beautiful way to say goodbye to skam. so yeah. bye skam. i miss you. 

overall ➔I’m not really sure why (possibly a lethal combination of my undying love for sana bakkoush, how much I relate to her, this but my ass was crying EVERY single episode of season 4...... F ➔I’m obsessed with s4′s aesthetic. imo the best editing, soundtrack and cinematography of any season!!!! julie is so talented at making each season feel distinct- to me, sana’s season is cool, vibrant colours (aka the late-night sunset aesthetic- gabie i hear u laughing shut up), crisp electronic/pop music and rap, ethereal city nights..... also sana has the best style of any skam character it had to be said ➔sana’s growth! seeing her open up and be honest and vulnerable with the girls during that phone call. sana sending all of her friends literally the sweetest messages of how much they mean to her and how much she values their relationship. sana being the (MUCH) bigger person and making amends with sara, ingrid etc. I love her so much :’((( ➔I’ve thought a lot about what I would change in season 4 and honestly? im a mf scatterbrain and have no real, structured ideas. my biggest issue is too much noora. dream s4 would be william staying in london and noora being happy on her own (but not rly on her own bc she has the girls and kollektivet!). as :/ as I am about the noora/yousef plotline, I’m not really sure what I’d do to replace the yousana conflict in ep5. maybe involving elias, or the balloon squad and even? related to that- in lieu of all the noora/noorhelm screentime, I would so much rather have a follow-up plot to elias’s drinking problem bc it was kinda just dropped? at the very least, the william clip should’ve been elias’s. I also would've killed for more one-on-one scenes with chris (even vilde or eva!), jamilla, even, members of the balloon squad... there are so many interesting stories that could’ve been explored instead of going down the noorhelm rabbithole again. furthermore, I feel like the social media plot was a bit... weak? again I’ve tried thinking of what I would’ve done instead (while also keeping the haper du har plass clip, y’all can pry that one from my cold dead hands) to little avail. what especially threw me about this plotline is that sana did this in s2 to jamilla, fucked up, and it bit her in the ass. I know that she gets irrational when angry but from a storytelling perspective, it seems repetitive. just.. I feel like there could’ve been a more powerful plot in which sana follows the same character arc. another thing I would’ve loved to see is beyond the los losers van, an apology from the girls to sana. or even just a conversation where they tell her “hey sana, we’re sorry for not paying attention and we’re sorry for being thoughtless/ignorant.” an apology from vilde about things she’s said in the past would’ve been <3. even a gesture! the girls order pizza again but this time it’s halal, or they make an effort to learn about sana’s religion and culture. I know it’s implied through the letter they write for sana, but a final standalone scene would’ve been so nice.  ➔i’ve noticed soo many remakes do this thing where they like.. water down shitty behaviour of their characters. which like- sure. I would love for everyone to be kind and thoughtful and not as horrible as they could be but also... I think that’s the point of skam? to show that people fuck up, but that doesn’t define them as a person. no one is perfect and no one can be thoughtful and considerate and kind all the time. and often these ‘problematic’ actions are integral to the story- e.g. elias saying stupid comments to isak (related to isak’s internalized homophobia and fear of coming out to his friends), the girl squad being ignorant about what sana can eat, etc. so..... your remake is not better because it erased every horrible action every character has done. (nuance.. where r u.........) ➔despite its flaws, I will say- the good moments of season 4? ineffable. I think we sometimes forget that julie literally wrote, directed, and I believe (?) assisted w editing and soundtrack too. i cant imagine doing all that under so much pressure, trying to bring so many storylines to a conclusion whilst simultaneously creating a goodbye-season to a show she put her life into the past two years. I’m so fucking appreciative of her. and you know what? all in all julie wrote some pretty damn beautiful episodes and scenes, and you can tell she loves this show just as much as we do. ➔and honestly this is maybe one reason I’m more wary of watching remake s4′s, bc like.. this season meant SO much bc it was the last season of skam. we knew it was the last season. the final episode is more or less a love letter, a goodbye to the show. whereas w some remakes (do i have to say whomst) its  like.. that love isnt there. it’s just another season. yknow? in conclusion I miss skam so much :(

When I started shipping them: god…….i think like. 2012? i wish i could say that i shipped them when i was a kid but smallville was my only exposure to them as a child and i was SO devoted to clana and chlark as a kid, that by the time lois rolled around in s4 i was so stubbornly Not A Fan. but when i rewatched it in my senior year of high school i fell absolutely in love with them and have been a fan of them across all adaptations ever since

My thoughts: they love each other!!! so much!!!! theyre such a good team and partnership and they’re both the #1 fan in each other’s fanclub and i Love Them

What makes me happy about them: everything!!! like have you SEEN them???? but especially the way she snarks at him and he looks at her like she hung the moon and stars in the sky

What makes me sad about them: god……every time they’re separated bc of Plot Things, and also like. as much as i love the dual-identity love triangle thing, the whole “lois doesn’t know clark is superman and it causes some Angst” part always kills me

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: u mean besides the fact that the majority of clois fic is badly written or for MoS, which i am not a fan of? um. probably when people make lois TOO mean, or when they try and make clark dominant. (clark is Not dominant, u guys, idk what to tell u if u think otherwise)

Things I look for in fanfic: their banter + rapport, combined with them being genuinely loving and supportive. 

My wishlist: idk what this means??? is it a wishlist for fic or for canon??? idk. more kissing and generally just being affectionate tho, pls

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: i mean…….they’re soulmates, i always want them to end up together. (and also this question depends on which continuity bc like. i have a different answer for smallville than i do for the comics ‘verse) but. it’s also kIND of similar bc i have two ot3s for them–clark/lois/tess (for smallville) and clark/lois/diana (comics ‘verse) so like. if they weren’t going to be together the only other ships i have are clark/tess and lois/tess and clark/diana and lois/diana lmao

My happily ever after for them: they live a long happy life and raise the family they always wanted and are able to both be successful in their journalism AND superheroism without having to leave each other for extended periods of time

My unpopular opinion about this character: this is specifically abt the sg tv show, and i’m not caught up and havent interacted with the fandom in a while, but: kara is 100% allowed to still be grieving krypton!! and just because she blamed herself for “not leaving any room for alex’s problems” in canon when alex came out to her, doesn’t mean that she ACTUALLY did anything wrong!! she was a KID whose ENTIRE FAMILY, PLANET, AND CULTURE had just been utterly wiped out. she cannot be blamed for literally any of her behavior in the aftermath of that. (or, tldr; she has done nothing wrong, ever, in her life, and i stand by this)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: please, dc…….let her be canon!bi…………….u know u want to……………………u keep giving her such sapphic “friendships”……………………………..

im rewatching RS 5x03 and something occurred to me--

the plan is to have the INS agent over for dinner and laura puts steele in charge, saying ‘make one of ur fabulous gourmet meals’ and what does he do? he makes duck. again. 

*cue my shifty eyes*

he made duck for laura in s1. he makes duck again in s2 for the murder bachelor ep. when they babysit francis’s kids--he doesn’t cook at all. laura does. and when her spaghetti is fail, he orders a pizza. not before of course, laura tells him ‘why didnt u cook then???’--his excuse being following the ‘roles of household’. 

in s4 they’re seen a couple of times, having dates in his apartment. on one occasion it looks like they had like a cheese plate and his fancy old wine??

when laura’s house gets blown up and she has stay with him, he specifically tells her he bought chicken noodle soup that comes in packets or something. (bc again, she says ‘im not gonna enjoy ur gourmet meal’)

what im getting at, is that steel is not a gourmet cook, like laura and of all us have been led to believe. he only knows how to cook duck. its’ his go to meal. he’s fooled us all. 

my guy just knows how to cook ONE meal. technically he never said he was an experienced cook, but we all thought it. 

meanwhile in fanfic, laura’s the one that’s been said cant cook but thats a lie. she can’t cook for a household of kids, bc she’s never done that. it was a lot of pressure. in the s4 stalker ep, she tells mildred and steele to meet at her place, and tells steele that she’ll even cook. later, they show her in her kitchen, taste testing and looking at a recipe. 

laura, my fave math major\detective, can cook but needs a recipe to guide her. and of course, not be pressured by time constraints. even in s1, when he tells her he’s sick, she and abigail go to his place and abigail gives him a tupperware of soup, saying laura--which could either be taken as a lie (that abigail made it and she was trying to hook her daughter up with her ‘boss’) or that laura DID make it but bc abigail kept peer pressuring her to make her ‘boss’ soup, so she did. 

in conclusion, steele can only cook duck and laura is not as incompetent in the kitchen as everyone thinks.

Everyone comparing bojack horseman to rick n morty is so annoying in the Yt comments loool!! Anyway what do u think's gonna happen this season? I really think bojacks daughter is gonna be the one to say Fuck and like hes gonna really... be fucked up & rejected by every1 lmfao... Idk! I also think diane & mr peanutbutter r defo gonna divorce.... And Bojacks mom screaming also looked InterEsting... anyway what r ur thoughts!

okay well, a few things!

i noticed upon rewatching that we dnt actually know a lot abt bojack’s childhood aside from the fact that his parents were pretty awful to one another and took out a lot of that negativity on him... it’s all been pretty vague, tho. so we’re going to see bojack’s daughter come into the picture, and we’re definitely going to see bojack’s mother at some point , that, and the cabin he drives to at the end of the s4 trailer says “sugarman” on the mailbox, which we know is his mother’s maiden name (diane said in one trick pony that she was the heiress to the sugarman sugar cubes fortune). so i think there’s gnna be a big emphasis on family in s4. we’re probably going to see more of bojack’s background w his parents and see that played against him trying to bond w his daughter. i think it’s possible that his mother may be more or less on her deathbed at this point (i mean, she asks bojack for blood) so that’s going to play into the whole thing. i doubt bojack is going to be absent from hollywoo for the entire season, and i dnt rly think the fuck is going to come from his daughter. it’s too predictable and i think it’d be sort of lazy for them to introduce her jst so bojack can build and break a relationship w her. he’s going to have to start, yknow, developing positively at some point. i think bojack himself might say it actually! and i think he’s going to say it to his mother.

another possibility: when diane ends the voicemail in the trailer, she does it in the same way that bojack ends the voicemail that he leaves on herb’s phone (“this is diane. nguyen. obviously.”) which might actually be foreshadowing diane saying it? usually when a scene echoes something from an earlier episode, there’s usually some deeper consistency. “what are you doing here?” is probably the most obvious example of this, but there are these scenes, and these as well. and taking a look beyond that.. from the trailer alone you can tell that diane is feeling very alienated now that her husband is running for governor, and what she needs right now is a friend, but someone has abandoned her... very speculative of course, but a possibility worth considering.

speaking of diane, the last nail in the coffin in her and PB’s marriage is definitely going to happen this season. diane sticking by her principles has put a strain on their marriage in the past, and now that she has her job with crush, it’s not rly jst a matter of her jst not wanting to back down anymore, it’s much deeper. and with PB running for office, we know it’s something that’s bound to get btwn them. i mean, we see them fighting in the trailer, so we already know that things are getting pretty dire btwn them... i also think having katrina/PB’s first wife around with PB’s campaign is going to be a very negative presence as far as their marriage is concerned. not implying that PB will fall for her again, but maybe some of her criticisms of him will impact diane.

the scene where officer fuzzyface pulls over ralph & PC and pulls his gun on them... can’t imagine that’s not related to something important. ralph was introduced pretty recently and we dnt know that much abt him, so it’s hard for me to confidently predict what’s going on w that.

that’s rly all ive got as far as theories/predictions go, but im rly excited! and i dnt want to wait 2 more weeks. i mean i dnt have a choice but.....
