Yunho said because having his last name might make you taller (and out of spite you’re not taking his)

Yeosang said because K=Y and Y=you so you should take his (you never thought you’d hear something like that come out of his mouth)

San said because Choi rhymes with Boy and he was your favorite boy (which they all disagreed with and said it was them)

Mingi said because he asked very nicely (and it almost worked)

Wooyoung said because being a Jung made him the Ateez sexy guy and if you took his you could he sexy to (you were offended he didn’t think you were already sexy)

Jongho said because being a Choi made him and San good singers, so if you took his last name you could he a good singer too (you were very offended he didn’t think you were already going at singing)

Ah yes, Jade Leech, the opposite version of his twin brother. While these two tend to have similar appearances aside from the position of their eye color and hair strand, they're both different in terms of their respective lovers.

Jade Leech is the kind of man who enjoys comforting you despite his sadistic treatment to his peers, even before the two of you established a romantic relationship and still has a huge crush on you. This guy would rant and gush about you to his fellow octavinelle peers and they seem to be annoyed whenever the vice headwarden talks about you. Except that his twin doesn't find it as an annoyance but instead, it's his personal mission to get the two of you together.

Unlike his twin brother, he is not that open to his romantic feelings towards you in fear that you might find it really weird of him. Jade would tried his best to keep the relationship as professional as possible but it was made impossible by his nosy sibling. Poor Jade would shoot daggers at Floyd whenever he's about to spill the beans that his dear brother has a crush on the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. The pinning goes on and on until Floyd had enough of the pinning and decided to tell you that Jade has a crush on you.

Thanks to his brother's antics, you gladly accepted his brother's confession and decided to go on a date with him; mountain hiking!! He would explain each and every mushroom and plant he could find and you just stared in awe as he rambles about his interest. That's the moment where you decided to give him a kiss on the cheek while he leans down, in which he teases you a bit, calling you his lil shroom since you are quite shorter than him.

Jade is the type of guy who will throw small pebbles towards you bedroom whenever the two of you would argue and disagree with something and brings in a small terrarium as a gift for making you mad at him. His heart couldn't bare the fact that he made his lil shroom upset and angry over a snark remark he commented.

And speaking of terrariums, Jade will always give you terrariums as gifts. No matter how big or small, he'll still give it to you and you may need a huge shelf for the gifts your boyfriend sent you. He also loves it when you got into his shirt and hugged his tummy, feeling the warmth that radiates from his body and like his brother, he is big into PDA but prefers to keep it subtle and low like putting his hand around your waist or holding your hands while walking towards your next class.

Lastly, don't get this guy jealous like please don't. We already heard the news about what happened to the guy that provoked his twin when he finds out that someone is flirting with his lover. It all starts with his shadow (obviously)

What I mean is that once his shadow took you to Neverland, Peter took one look at you and knew you meant more than something to him. He just didn't understand or knew that yet.

Eventually, he slowly becomes obsessed with you over time.

It starts off slow... In fact, he wasn't very pleased with you at the very beginning.

When you arrived at Neverland, physically, for the first time, he questioned why his shadow would bring a lost- girl???

He was frustrated, obviously cause girls weren't as easy to manipulate, unlike boys... They normally found it difficult to hear pans flute even when they are actually lost.

It was a strange irritating phenomenon to pan...

Anyway, you all already know that Peter isn't nice and when he doesn't like something he doesn't treat it with kindness...

So obviously, he made your arrival absolute he*l

At first, he thought that you were actually one of Captain hook's members sent to trick him and gain his trust, only to be backstabbed to death.

But quickly realized that was foolish.

Anyways, when I say he made it he*l I mean he personally showed you around Neverland...

He took you to Mermaid Lagoon. He made it sound like an absolute dream to swim in it and even said it was good luck if a mermaid appears... 💀

We all know that isn't true.

But when Pan saw you struggling to breathe, he felt something that he hasn't felt in years... Pain?

Afterwards, without any second thought, he pulled you out of the water, holding your collar.

He questioned why he did that for a couple of days, and Felix started to notice...

Then, a few days later, Pan found a different way of getting rid of you.

It was more painful but less gruesome and messy.

He tricked you into pricking your fingers with nightshade.

He simply asked for you to pick some nightshade upon that mountain.

He took advantage of your kindness.

Lying about how a lost boy was sick and that was the only cure but unfortunately, no male can go up that mountain because of a powerful curse, and that's why you were brought there.

You were a little frightened at the thought of adventuring alone in a new place, and to add to it, someone's life was on your shoulders too, but you did it.

It only almost cost you your life.

You see, Pan allowed you to get extremely ill. You didn't even know what was happening to you... All Pan said was that you were just unlucky and that you should have believed more in yourself, and now since you didn't, you're going to die for it.

But on the last day, Pan felt that feeling again, but this time it was worse- it had a friend, guilt!!

Instantly, Pan got the watch from the falls and made you drink it before you died.

Pan didn't even know why he did it... In fact, he secretly accused you of being a witch because of it.

He assumed you placed a spell on him when he wasn't looking, so whenever you are in danger, he feels pain.

But he soon learned you were a normal human.

In fact, all this strange behavior started to worry a certain lost boy.

That's right, Felix.

He questioned Pan why he was acting like this, and Pan just gave him an annoyed glare as he went back to staring at you from a distance.

Soon enough, Pan learned to accept you.

Which was good on your part since now he's not actively trying to kill you.

But anyway, slowly, over time, you start to get used to your new life as the only lost girl in Neverland.

Things were perfect for a good hot second until

Pan felt this sudden chill the moment he saw a lost boy touching you on your shoulder.

Slowly, over time, he started getting annoyed.

Annoyed at the lost boys for touching you.

Annoyed at them for making you laugh too much.

Annoyed at them for talking to you for too long.

Soon enough, he started to become more jealous.

He didn't even know how silly he was acting.

He would start by making slide comments about the lost boys every time they did something with you.

That would cause them to back off, and that made him happy.

It got worse, though.

He later became more aggressive.

Every time he saw you enjoying yourself around them when he wasn't around, he'd say stuff like - "This is so inappropriate!" Or "Why are you all standing around?! Do your chores!"

And he'd give you the worst of them all. All because you're the reason why he has a reason to be jealous, to begin with.

The worst you've ever seen it was when a lost boy actually tried flirting with you.

Pan instantly 'removed them' all because they were 'sick.'

It scared you shi*less to think that if you got sick, you'd be 'removed.'

It's safe to say you never disobeyed Pan, and you didn't plan to either.

Of course, Felix was a little agitated by the way Pan was behaving lately, but he never questioned it he just told the lost boys to avoid you from now on.

But then a couple of months went by, and the torment and obvious favoritism became worse.

In fact, a lost boy even tried confronting Pan, and he was quickly removed' too.

No one questioned or disobeyed him after that.

During those months, Pan became more touchy.

More communicative with you and only you

He'd ask you to visit him in his tent more often to the point where he ended up telling you that you were the only one other than himself who was allowed in there without direct order/permission.

Felix was kind of irritated by that.

But the favoritism only grew more.

Now, when it came to your training, at first, when you arrived, Pan did everything to kill you only to back out last minute, and now, he'd do everything to train you properly without letting you get hurt.

Before, you were only to train with the strongest (to get you killed), but then you moved down to the ones with similar strength as you to him and only him...

Everyone questioned it but kept it to themselves.

As time went on, you gained the 'mother' title very quickly, and Pan didn't even give it to you.

You were just naturally loving, and Pan actually liked that about you but grew to hate it because of how much attention you would give the lost boys when they were hurt.

He thought about hurting himself to get you to show some care for him once but quickly scrapped it because he didn't want to look weak.

Moving on to phase two of Yandere Pan.

This man is creepy as FU*K!

When I say creepy, I mean he starts to stalk you.

Before, he did it to try to understand you, but now he does it to see who he's dealing with.

This is the phase when Pan kind of switches to romantic thoughts.

It happens so slowly that he doesn't even realize his feelings for you until he starts masturbating...

He actually accepts it pretty well since he's been dealing with it the moment you arrived (he just didn't know)

Anyways, when he stalks you, he's actually looking for potential threats.

He becomes more protective in secret (you'll see this side of him soon enough)

And if he sees a boy getting to goodie-goodie with you, he'll instantly put a stop to it. Not in front of you, of course. He doesn't want to scare you off.

Anyways, he also stalks you to make sure you don't have a crush on anyone.

If he realizes that you do, then say your goodbyes to your crush.

But that's not the only creepy thing he'll do.

He'll also steal your stuff.

There really isn't any other reason for him to do this other than him masturbating to it.

He obviously doesn't give it back.

You'll have to find it yourself if you want it back.

Oh, and another thing.

He would sometimes stalk you in your sleep.

There ain't even any other reason besides him being obsessed with you.

He'd even get a little risk and get in bed with you.

He'd touch and play with your hair and whisper things to you sometimes.

It's like a therapeutic moment for him, and he enjoys doing this more than he should.

And he knows it's wrong, but he's selfish, so obviously, he can't handle himself sometimes.

What I mean is that sometimes he'd kiss you without you even knowing.

Sometimes on the lips and sometimes... In other places.

The grossest thing he has probably done was jerk off on you while you slept.

Of course, he cleaned everything off with magic once he was done.

Now, on to stage threeeee!

FULL ON YANDERE!

Soon enough, Pan wouldn't be able to control himself anymore.

This is the part where his feelings were pent up and built up for way too long.

So, he ended up exploding!

Of course, not in front of the lost boys.

He didn't really care much for them so the real reason why he didn't was because he still needs them.

Again, very selfish...

So instead, he kidnaps you one night.

When he couldn't handle it anymore

I'm sorry to say this, but you had a really rude awakening.

What I mean was there would be a really high chance that he rap*s you that night.

Then he proceeds to lock you up somewhere no one will ever be able to find you or get to you without him allowing it or him being there.

He would gaslight and manipulate you into believing that everything was your fault.

That his actions were your fault.

He'd punish you both verbally and physically.

He'd punish you physically every time you refused him without cracking.

But every time you caved, he'd insult you as he did things to you.

Whether that was kissing, force-feeding, or fu*king.

You didn't even have the mental capacity to refuse him for too long.

After all, you've been in Neverland for like a year now, and you've seen tons of scary shi* that he did.

Honesty, you were practically numb by the time he kidnapped you

Mind you, I said practically.

You've gotten so used to his shi*.

But now, this was a step up...

But it didn't take long for you to get Stockholm Syndrome.

After all pan is a master manipulator!

And he always gets what he wants in the end.

IT DEPENDS ON WHERE SHE IS? if she’s back at home: prefers to dress conservatively, tho she does adorn herself with a lot more flashy jewelry. her color palette is more broad, but she sticks to cream-colored dresses if she has to go out in public (her chitons are quite varied. they swing between unremarkable or notably contemporary) (reason being: her mother manages a chunk of her wardrobe). she prefers to wear her himation/veil higher up (or have it cover her completely) namely for modesty’s sake — but she feels obligated to lower it when in the company of her higher-ranking relatives, since they are a prouder crowd who prefer a more prideful look to her. while she may not put heightened emphasis on trends, looking presentable and appropriate is critical to her.

off the mountain, vinh still upholds a lot of her classiness + modesty but now prioritizes looking more put-together and formal… from a modern lens! fond of darker colors, and seldom wears anything that doesnt cover her neck or her arms in public. her go-to outfits tend to avoid pants. pants feel weird to her. they reveal + hug everything way too much. and while she’s coming around to being comfortable with showing some legs, she’s still a far cry from going anywhere without tights or pantyhose. jewelry from vinh here is much more sparse + simple, like a string of pearls or a thin golden necklace. she doesn’t like to look ostentatious without clear reason. a long skirt with a long sleeved shirt will do the job fine.

THE PROMETHEAN TORCH. THE FORGE OF HEPHAESTUS. FIRE. HEARTH FIRE. DUTY AND OBLIGATION… originally i was just looking 4 a convenient excuse for why her hair is on fire but then it kinda just spiraled from there. so she went from loose self insert to full-fledged oc.

i think the first thing i decided about vinh was her number-two status? ik i always bring up her weird case of generosity/duty/etc but when i first drafted her up, she was always kinda meant to be tailing idia… or well, just always bringing up the rear for someone else (originally, this aspect of her personality was much pronounced within her dynamic w leona) despite her qualifications(*) to take charge — she has never had any genuine interest in moving beyond her position, and embraces it as a supporting role. promethean fire is a tool to greatness babie!!!

**qualifications can be defined as numerous things. some may look to her status and prestige; others may look to her academic and physical performance. it is also possible to look towards her focused and cool personality.

🌱 SEEDLING - what is their most vivid memory from childhood?

she didn’t rly have much of a childhood :,) such is the fate of being the eldest daughter, but that doesn't mean she didn't have any adolescent experiences! i'd say one of her most vivid memories as a child were around her days as her grandfather's protégé. instead of eating mud and frolicking with her parents, she'd spend her days tailing him and studying to develop her magical skills. her grandpa wanted to understand where exactly her limits were with her magical prowess though, so what started as a simple lesson turned into an impromptu magic brawl.

the intent was to just go until vinh called it off, but vinh's always been a high-achieving people-pleaser. implying that 'she couldn't take it' didn't rly end up happening. the only thing that ended up stopping her grandpa from whacking around a pseudo-preteen with lightning bolts for 30 more minutes, was the fact that vinh's mom showed up and forced them both to stop (via her unique magic) bc that's the only way she could've done it without aggravating the issue further.

this incident was what gave vinh her closest brush to what over-extended use of her unique magic could entail, because of her rapid mana depletion also ended up depleting her temperature immunity. meaning that vinh was actually burning herself pretty severely without the safety barrier of her excess mana.

as all concerned mothers would, mamaphrodite was pretty pissed that her own grandfather would be so inappropriate with a girl who is many centuries his junior and barely has her leg out the door in experience. the only reason why vinh would continue her education under him + the head temple (until her eventual promotion to the head temple's hiereiai) would be due to vinh's own request (read: begging and insistence) to overlook this and let her stay.

📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.

she has a very very very poor alcohol tolerance — one shot does more than just get her tipsy. most people wouldn’t be able to tell she’s drunk tho. she’s the type of drunk who doesn’t really get aggressive or excited. she’s just very… compliant. almost-entirely silent. her inhibitions flew out the window and it left nothing behind but low ambitions. its hard to spot because shes not exactly super chatty and rebellious. being stone-faced and doing people weird favors isn’t even out of character for her… but the extent to which she’ll agree is the key to figuring it out.

want her to follow you? sit in this spot and not move a muscle? blow something up? clean your bathroom? get in the kitchen and make you sandwich? brush your teeth (why would you ask her to do that)? she’ll do everything to a T as asked. until she sobers up, at least (which… may take a while. depending on how much she drank.)

anyway, it goes without saying that vinh does not like being drunk. it is a lesson well-learned in her family that neither she nor her dad are meant to drink, but it’s only vinh who listens to that lesson and abstains from drinking.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don’t want to show other people?

she doesn’t like to show strong emotions to anothers. it’s not that she goes out of her way to present herself as cold, it’s coincidence that vinh’s idea of being mild-mannered means being very muted and distant.

strong reactions spurred on by anything (negative or positive) is improper and unnecessary, even outright uncomfortable. this notion extends to ‘intimate’ or ‘vulnerable’ feelings as well. it’s not right for her to be seen prone or viewed as ‘in-need’. vinh prefers that her thoughts, feelings, and biases stay strictly with her unless otherwise prompted (or that these feeling somehow act to the benefit or desire of others).

the point she makes pointedly clear is she prefers to be seen as a pillar and a service, rather than a person.

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

truth comes first — she does not believe in love at first sight applies to her, and this rhetoric can be similarly applied to how she feels about true love. it probably exists. it definitely exists. but it’s not real enough to be a rule, so it’s not really relevant. love = attraction but attraction ≠ love. she doesn’t want to disappoint anybody with a promise of love when it wasnt love they were seeking. the eyes are often hungrier than the stomach, so to speak.

in a relationship, i think she’s always subconsciously looking for maturity and understanding, or at least some semblance of reassurance of her value...? but more accurately, i think she looks more towards the explicit lack of said-criteria. not all at once and definitely not to an extreme ofc, but it's just easier for her to stomach mediocrity. as starved as she may be for connections, she’s kind of backed herself into a corner of being equally repulsed by it. so. this works out decently(*) for her. she doesn’t mind bearing the brunt of the emotional and manual labor you’d expect from a relationship, even if she never is quite there emotionally.

☀️ SUN - are they a morning person? what is the first thing they do in the morning?

absolutely a morning person, but she’s Also simultaneously a night owl. she doesn’t really have much of a choice, seeing as her body doesn’t need sleep very often. aside from the usual morning hygiene routine, vinh's first priority in the morning is definitely just a random assortment of tasks ranging from waking up, freshening up, finishing up last-minute assignments… it’s usually busy, but she sees it as tame.

outside of that, her morning duties also include delivering any documents to whoever requested them, waking up/setting out uniforms for other students (largely contained to ignihyde — and only if they asked her, but there’ve been other instances). she also brings breakfast back from the shops or the cafeteria if people ask for it… it’s mainly idia who’s made a habit of this service, bc nobody else uses it as frequently as he does.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

i think it’d be best explained as ‘for the betterment of others’ that she’d do something dangerous!

though an endangered loved one could (would) have her up on her feet immediately, to say that the decision to leap into the fray comes ‘easily’ to her is never true. of course, she’ll do it — who else could? to the extent that she can? she extends this service outwards towards the public if she deems the threat large enough to require her attention or has otherwise been brought to her.

you could take this magnetism to danger as a testament to what she’s always seeking (the ability to be of use/be valuable/be capable/etc). the other answer you scrape from this though, is that vinh’s sense for accomplished duty comes from a place of being mutilated in some way.

TaeJoon is probably on a perpetual emotional merry-go-round, he seems to have gone through all the stages from the euphoria of having a crush to despair, drama of rejection, pouting, gloom, depression, acceptance of the situation, tentative hope, and back to euphoria of having a crush. AND I'M SITTING RIGHT THERE, WITH HIM. I felt happy, giddy, then literally had chest pains from just the fact, that TaeJoon is sad. Craaaazy. 🥳

I really like how perfectly having a crush on someone is shown in this series, even including misunderstandings. All the scenes between TaeJoon and WongYoung could take place in any scenario and in real life, they are so universal and so well done. I also really liked the struggles of people in love who are friends, both long-term and those who just met. These fears that “I may not get a lover and lose a friend if I confess” are also very valid...

What I like the most is the kind of "innocence" and "purity" of these feelings and behaviors (although I don't want to use these words to imply that other types of romance are "dirty"). The way they worry about their beloved, the way they want to take care of them, all those little gestures and words that indicate that they only want the best for the other person, and the genuinely hurt feelings when all those gestures and words are rejected. It's just... it gives me such great pleasure and pure joy to watch TaeJoon being in love. Everything he does, what he says, how he looks at WongYoung, how he tries not to be pushy, but he doesn't want (can't?) hide his feelings.. 🥺

When it comes to love, WonYoung acts as if he grew up in a hidden village somewhere in the mountains, never had any sex education, learned everything  about love while watching romantic series with his grandma and never, absolutely never heard of things like homosexuality. He’s like 👀 every time it comes up, idk, maybe it’s endearing to people, I find it annoying, he’s an educated man in his late twenties, from the city, it could be cute only in case of a high school love! It’s not even a case of having a gay panic, or discovering his sexuality, he literally acts like men loving men is news to him lmao

DongHee is just great, this actor's comedy talent is 10/10, I love him so much. I still don't feel this romance with HoTae, there is no chemistry between them as far as I’m concerned, DongHee acts like he REALLY wants nothing to do with him and HoTae acts like it's just a game to him and he’s so immature. I just don't see them being serious about each other. But that might just be me. 🤷‍♀️

Wonderful series, wonderful love story, so why the dead-fish kiss????? I'm sitting there, high on feelings, super happy, tension grows, I'm so nervous and blushing and then THIS. The mood immediately deflated. A dead-fish kiss can ruin even the best, most delicious romance for me. I just immediatelly start thinking that the actors don’t feel comfortable with each other, that they think that kissing the other man is gross. It’s 2023, IS KISSING REALLY THAT HARD???? In Our Dating Sim they somehow had no problems with it!!!! Sorry to be so angry about it, I guess I’m being just mad for nothing, because the series is so lovely, but I feel like they're bringing dead-fish kisses and even angled kisses back from the dead this year, and there's really no excuse for that. I'm starting to catch myself expecting the actors to not deliver the pshysical aspect of the romance and every good kiss is a surprise, when in fact it should be the norm. 😤 *sigh* maybe they’ll improve later, who knows...

The Woods Are Lovely, Dark and Deep

Sometimes I write opinion piece essays about my thoughts. Sometimes, you get to relive me freaking out through a transcript of my tweets. Cheers, here's to this week's episode 🥂

Ugh, they did not just give me hope that Mark would survive, only to kill him off again! 😱🤦🏻‍♀️ And man, the poor guy was lying there in agony for a whole day? That just...... that hurt

Beau Arlen has my whole heart, he truly does. The way he can find joy in something so little as eating a good sandwich..... how can you not love someone so full of life?

Out of the whole precinct, it's Jenny whom Beau wanted to taste the sandwich he loved, and I am having An Emotion™️* about it 🥺💕 (this is a lie, I'm having a lot of emotions about it)

Beau really said "I will get Jenny to deal with her Tonya beef one way or another, if a direct approach doesn't work, I'll approach it a different way", and I respect that so much

Going to take a moment to say that as much as I dislike Tonya as a person for her backstabbing and criming, as a character, I'm enjoying her new sassy side. She's still my enemy, because if Jenny got beef with you, I got beef with you. But she's funny

Why is Beau so cute, even doing something as small as getting winded climbing a mountain trail? 🥺 And him being like "yes, this is a tantrum", it's okay, bb, you're entitled to it 💛

I love these reminders of what a badass Jenny is, the way she took down the would-be assassin even though it ended with her on the cell floor, truly iconic, we stan 👑✊🏻

Beau is such a cute dad, but why is Emily so mean and dismissive towards him? We should all be so lucky to have a dad who cares that much, instead of acting annoyed and so uppity about it 🙄

Beau looks so angry dealing with Avery, and all I want out of this storyline is Avery and Carla turning out to be involved in shady things and Beau getting to arrest Avery and Jenny getting to arrest Carla. I want that vindication

🥺 - Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I get emotional over small, unspoken gestures of affection. Silently taking someone's hand, touching their shoulder when they seem about to break, sitting together and leaning into one another for support...it's those little intimate gestures that always get to me, the profound depth of affection that comes from knowing what someone's going through and wanting to provide some kind of comfort. Makes my heart warm every time.

🛒 - What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

'Dark is Not Evil' is one of my biggest themes that shows up in my work, sometimes combined with 'Mirroring Factions.' I've had a fascination with the philosophy of The Other for longer than I can honestly remember -- and the core of that interest has always been in humanizing those who would otherwise be maligned. It's a huge aspect of my Awakening fics, underpinning the extensive worldbuilding I've put together for Plegia!

💖 - What made you start writing?

are we talking about in the beginning or after the extended break?

Because in the beginning I started writing because I wanted to make shameless Pokemon Special fic inserting my OCs (and let's be real, I haven't exactly stopped doing that, it's just evolved like a pokemon). I picked up writing after the extended break because I'd gotten myself obsessed with Awakening and my conspiracy theory about Grima wouldn't leave me alone and so began Future Built, which I posted on AO3 as a challenge to myself to put my writing out there for the first time in years.

💌 - How do you feel about comments and feedback?

I always love getting comments and hearing feedback! I'm technically very behind in my AO3 comment replies (the past year has been rough) but I try my best to reply to every comment that comes in because I really do appreciate hearing what people think! Writing is my passion, and I love getting to talk about the stories that I work so hard to craft, so seeing a new comment always brightens up my day!

👀 - Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

also on the list of plans that haven't made it onto the Masterlist, there's another Awakening war story. Chrom's father is still alive and well and continuing his war against Plegia; intending to bypass Emmeryn in the line of succession since she can't wield Falchion, he brings Chrom with him as he makes his latest push past the mountains and into the Grimleal nation. Their progress is repeatedly stymied by the appearance of Plegian forces, led by a powerful sorcerer in a skull helm wielding a Levin Sword and a Thoron Tome, who repeatedly break up the Ylissean supply lines to thwart their progress. With each successive bout the Ylissean prince and the apparent Plegian general learn more about one another, and when circumstances leave them stranded far from their armies they're forced to rely on one another to survive.

(A not insignificant reason this story exists is because I wanted to have a joke where Robin calls Chrom 'Prince Chrom' and Chrom counters with "it's just 'Chrom,'" leading Robin to literally call him 'Just Chrom' for ages because he thinks that 'Just' is a title for princes in Ylisse the way that 'Exalt' is how they address their ruler.)

Oh, I'm always up for questions about my fics, both finished or otherwise! If there's a question, I'd love to answer it (or at least make hints if it otherwise gets too deep into spoiler territory). I think I do a good job with dialogue! It's fun to write, and I feel like I do a good job of giving each individual character a unique voice, so it's easier to tell who's speaking at any time even if there's no identifier to tag them.

(I also like to think that I'm pretty good at constructing narratives to fulfill their unique, specific purposes -- like Cursed Fate with its repetitive fairytale structure, gradually revealing the events of the past until we learn how Robin died. I thought that turned out very nicely.)

haha I finally received stickers i ordered from bunypark's rb of Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Butters as animals the other day so this feels appropriate! That being said, because of that I won't do those four... gonna do Craig's gang instead 👀

As much as I think Craig would want his fursona to be a guinea pig, I'm sorry but he's definitely got the energy of a city pigeon. He does not give a shit about what other people are trying to get him to do, he's just going to do his own thing. Tweek is for sure a deer or maybe a horse. Skittish as all hell, but can absolutely go buckwild and cause some damage, especially if spooked (very wonderful to be with if you earn his trust though). Tolkien gives me cat vibes in a way? Not the traditional idea of cats but more in the sense that I think he's a good comforting presence when people need him but he's also good at establishing his own boundaries and not giving too much. I think cats are like that too. Clyde is a cow. Mostly because I often hear people refer to cows as "moo dogs" and Clyde does have dog energy but... more. Bigger. Therefore: cow (also a nod to him having jock energy-- go south park cows!). Last but certainly not least is Jimmy! I think he's like a dolphin: fun, clever, beloved by many, and canonically fucks.

I'm not sure if this should be alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks... anyway time to talk about a bunch of my favorites <3

Christophe is red wine, but I'm going to deviate slightly from the cliche by specifying that he is red wine from a Mickey Mart. It's hard to explain why I think it's so good because it's so attached to personal memories. Same with Christophe. Damien next and we're going alcoholic again because he's literally any flavor of MD 20/20. Looks cheap as hell (seeing as he's from an earlier season), very cool if you're edgy and in high school, will most certainly fuck you up. Going nonalcoholic, I think Kenny is like a milkshake! People are always mixing him up in everything, making so many different versions of him and they're all amazing, even if they get very insane sometimes. Also if you make content with him in it, it will likely bring me to your yard. To spotlight another one of my favorite blondes, Bebe is lemonade! She can be both sour and sweet, enhanced when made pink (gay), and I am refreshed every time I see her. Lastly, to get another girl up in here, Red! Red is a caramel frappe from Starbucks because she might seem basic to the outside observer, but those with taste know she’s one of the best. Also if someone is drinking a frappe out in the cold (aka Colorado mountain town weather) they’re definitely gay and Red is gay.

What kind of friends hold hands 90% of the time? What kind of friends slept in the same bed almost every night? What kind of friends said ‘I love you’ to each other when saying goodbye?

You and Jungkook.

You and Jungkook were those irritating kinds of people. The type of people who acted like a couple but got upset with everyone who assumed you were dating. But you weren’t completely delusional, you could see how yours and Jungkook’s friendship could be misinterpreted but what can you say? It worked for both of you.

The odd thing is, you and Jungkook had only met 4 years ago at the start of college. You met in orientation and quickly became fast friends. Jungkook was a handsome guy and it would be a lie if you said you weren’t initially attracted to him but when he had gotten into a relationship in the second year of college it was clear that your feelings weren’t reciprocated. But it didn’t matter to you, you were satisfied being just friends with Jungkook. And you were. He had been in 2 relationships during the years that you had known each other and you had stuck by him through all of them. Much to his exes chagrin.

After his last break up, he had decided to stay single for a while. You think this is when your relationship crossed over from sharing notes in class to sharing a bed for naps but the transition felt natural so you just let it happen.

Things had been a little different lately though, Jungkook had been a little off with you since about a week ago.

You had texted him your usual good morning message but for the first time you had not received one back. This was extremely unusual behaviour so you texted his roommate Namjoon to ask if he was okay but to your surprise Namjoon confirmed the kid was completely fine and was eating a mountain of cereal as you spoke. That was odd? Had you done something wrong?

You decided to bring it up with him during your next class but to your surprise again you walked into your lecture hall to seen Jungkook sat with Dahyun. The sight stung you a little. You two had never not sat together.

The mystery of why Jungkook was ignoring you completely dominated your mind during the entire lecture. Your eyes burned holes into the back of his head as you observed him and Dahyun giggling together. Were you jealous? Why would you be jealous of your friend talking to someone else? No, you weren’t jealous, you were just concerned, right?

You were pulled out of your thoughts by the professor announcing the end of the lecture. He had also called Jungkook down to his desk just for a quick chat. Perfect! You would corner him after he had spoken to the professor and find out what the actual hell his problem was.

The lecture hall cleared out until it was just you stood on top of the stairs watching the professor speak to Jungkook. You couldn’t really hear what they were talking about but it must have been a good conversation, Jungkook smiled through the whole thing. That cute bunny smile that lit up his face. The way his nose scrunched and his eyes crinkled into crescent moons made your heart melt. This affection was soon overshadowed by a small twinge of fear. Had you done something to upset him? Is that why that smile hadn’t greeted you today?

Jungkook and the professor wrapped up their conversation and said their goodbyes. Jungkook spun on his heels to head out to his second lesson but his eyes landed on you on the stairs and his smile vanished.

“Hi kook, are you good?”

“yup”

“Oh, it’s just cause today you didn’t text me ba- “

“Look, _____, I really have to run. Can we talk later or at another time?”

This took you a back. Jungkook had never been so cold to you before. Never since meeting him have you seen a stoic expression on his face let alone had the expression made at you. It was jarring and honestly a little hurtful.

You swallowed down the lump in your throat and answered him anyways.

“S-sure. Yeah, okay, that’s fine. Um. Talk later...I guess?”

“Cool. see ya” he responded as cold as ice.

You had one more test. One more thing to check if things were really as dire as they seemed.

“Bye Jungkook. Love you”

He paused for a brief moment, contemplating how to respond.

Please Jungkook. Please just say it. Let me know everything will be okay. Just utter those two words back like you usually do, please.

“’Yeah, later ______”

You watched as he strode past you. Your eyes followed him, unable to take your eyes off his figure. It was only when he had disappeared through the door that you were finally able to release the sob that had been held in your chest. Why was he doing this and why was it affecting you so much?

Any hopes that this was just a passing thing and you and Jungkook would go back to normal soon began to dwindle. This was your 6th day of not speaking at all.

It was odd how much of your life was inter twined with his. How much everything reminded you of him. The ramen in your cupboard began to pile up cause you forget Jungkook isn’t there to eat them. That boy would eat 2 packets a day and you missed seeing him slurp up the noodles and you missed wiping the sauce off his face. But honestly you missed Jungkook the most when it was time for bed.

You had now become so accustomed his body wrapping around yours in bed that sleep was now impossible without him. You had bought some sleeping pills in hopes that they might help. You were going to try them tonight because there was no way your could go onto you 7th day of no sleep.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a knocking on your apartment door.

You opened the door and were completely shocked to find a dishevelled looking Jungkook. His usually bright eyes were gaunt and decorated with dark circles and bloodshot veins. His tan skin now pale and sickly. His appearance, unbeknownst to you, mirrored yours completely.

You didn’t speak a word to each other as he just barged into your apartment closing the door, taking off his shoes and taking your hand in his. Your emotions were now all over the place. You were confused, surprised, anticipating and nervous all at the same time and of course the lack of sleep heightened these emotions tenfold.

You didn’t want to think about anything, you were just happy to see him so you just let him drag you. Jungkook made his way to your bedroom and began taking off his jacket. Still completely silent. You observed him, never breaking the silence between you two. He was down to his socks, his t-shirt and his underwear. His usual sleep attire.

After he was done, he turned to you, grabbed your waist guided you down to the bed. He shifted and twisted you around until he was spooning you. This felt so familiar and comfortable but the air of confusion around you was undisputable.

“I haven’t slept in 6 days, I’m not comfortable sleeping without you anymore. Can I stay here please? Just for tonight?”

You felt his breath fan across the back of your neck. You considered it for a moment but your body screaming for the desire of a nights rest made your decision for you.

“Okay” you whispered your response before you felt his arm snake around your waist pulling you closer to him.

You missed this, you missed him.

It only took a few minutes before your and Jungkook’s breaths evened out, signalling that you were both asleep.

The bright light of the sun peeking through your window was what nudged you out of your peaceful much needed slumber. You looked down to see a large arm still wrapped around you.

So last night wasn’t a hallucination.

“_____, are you awake?” you heard a sleepy voice ask from behind you

“Oh, you’re talking to me now?” You answered bitterly. The sleep depravity and comfort had worn off, now just leaving you with confusion and annoyance as your primary emotions right now.

“I deserved that.”

“Yes, you fucking did. How could you just completely ignore me for 6 days? You literally pretended I didn’t exist for days with no explanation. Do you know how hurtful that was for me to think that I had done something to you? You couldn’t even spare me the curtesy of telling me to fuck off. I just became invisible to you”.

You hadn’t realised it but tears had started releasing themselves onto your pillow, the panic that you had lost him now being put into words was too much for you to bare and it was all too much.

“Please don’t cry. I can’t stand to see you cry” Jungkook said, arm pulling you even closer

“Well, its didn’t seem like you minded being the source of the tears. I mean, what kind of friend does th- “

“We’re not just friends and you fucking know it _____” he interrupted in a sharp tone.

“What do you mean?”

You stiffened at his words. You were so grateful you were still facing away from him cause your face would have been all he needed to see to know that you were lying. You knew exactly what he meant but you decided your safest bet was to play dumb.

He took in a deep breath and began:

“You know exactly what I mean. Normal ‘friends’ don’t do this _____. Normal friends don’t need each other to sleep. Normal ‘friends’ don’t constantly hold hands and normal ‘friends’ definitely do not say they love each other. And if you’ve convinced yourself that that’s not the case, you’re delusional. Same way I was. I was fully convinced our friendship was platonic until I heard you speaking to Namjoon about how you would never see me as anything more than a friend. How this would be it for us until we both found partners of our own. I should have just felt indifferent to this but it felt like you had ripped out my chest and pulled out my heart because it was then that I realised. It was never platonic for me. I slept in the same bed as you because I loved you. I held your hands all the time because I loved you. I said ‘I loved you’ all the time because…because I was in love with you and it felt good letting you know and hearing you say it back.

But hearing you tell namjoon you didn’t feel the same broke me and it didn’t feel good knowing that when I said I loved you, I meant it but you never would. At least not in the same way. So, I started to distance myself from you. To spare my heart.

I know it was selfish of me but _____ please try to understand. I never meant to hurt you.”

You were stunned. Was that really true? Did he really think that? Did he really love you? Did he honestly think that you didn’t feel the same?

You spun yourself around to finally face him.

“Do you seriously think that I didn’t feel the same way. Jungkook, I’ve been in love with you for years. I just thought that you didn’t feel the same way about me. How long have you felt like this?”

“Since I broke up with Somi a few years ago. I thought I broke up with her cause we weren’t compatible but I think deep down we broke up cause she wasn’t…you.”

Your eyes met as he tried to gauge your reaction to his revelation.

You stared at him, long and hard and decided to just do what you should have done years ago.

You leaned forward and your lips planted on his. His initial shock at your action vanished as he melted into your kiss. Arms still embracing each other this felt so natural.

After a few seconds you pulled away and said “I’ve loved you for years doofas, I just didn’t think YOU like ME like that so I just took whatever I got from you. If that was friendship, I was fine with that but im so happy that we aren’t just friends anymore”

“Miss _____, are you asking me out?” he teased

“Shut up!”

“Well, I accept! You madame, are now my girlfriend. That feels so good to say out loud. My girl, my baby, my boo, my little cupcake.”

You simultaneously hummed in agreement and punched him for how cringey he was. Regardless you snuggled in closer. It was only then when you fully pressed your body against his that you felt it.

Your eyes darted up to his face in shock. “Jungkook?!”

“What? What can I say?! It’s like it knows that were not just friends anymore. I can’t help it _____, it has a mind of its own”

“Don’t lie Kookie, you think I didn’t feel your dick pushing into my ass all those other times?”

“And, little miss innocent. Don’t act like you weren’t pushing your ass back onto it! Well now we’re together officially, you don’t have to be such tease a anymore. You can stop all of that”

“Oh yeah? Make me”

Jungkook paused and looked at you with a devious smirk on his face. His going to make you wish you never said that.
