Who becomes the closest with splinter after they decide “hey maybe we shouldn’t kill humanity?”
I'm not sure, honestly. I guess Leo? He's already on the Lou Jitsu hypetrain, something he feels a lot of guilt about considering he views Splinter as evil. So when he figures out that Splinter isn't actually a terrrible person he'd be pretty excited to get to know him better. And while Leo isn't exactly neglected by Draxum, he still doesn't usually get quite all attention he needs from his dad (middle child lol) so he might be quicker to seek out an extra father figure.
Raph and Mikey would eventually get closer to Splinter as well, though!

No Order 66 AU where Anakin leaves the Order after the war ends and he and Padme end up retiring to Naboo to try to raise the twins together, but neither of them ends up feeling particularly satisfied with life on Naboo (for Anakin it just doesn't give him any purpose the way he desperately needs and for Padme it's always been this perfect rosy dream and reality doesn't measure up), so they end up leaving the twins behind a lot so they can pursue other things and are pretty absentee parents in general. They mostly end up getting raised by Padme's parents instead, and while they're perfectly good guardians for the twins and raise them kindly and love them a lot, there's always an obvious elephant in the room regarding who ISN'T there.
This causes a bit of a rift between Luke and Leia because while Luke is trying to keep the peace and give their parents the benefit of the doubt as he moves on and figures out his own life with what he DOES have, Leia is less willing to just forgive and forget.
Luke ends up becoming a pilot working for the royal palace for a while, but Leia goes into politics (something she'd entered while younger because it's what her mother did and she'd been hoping it would get Padme's attention and bring the two of them closer; it didn't work out that way at all and now Leia's sticking with it at least partly to spite Padme) as an aide for her cousin Pooja who is now Senator of Naboo.
And it's here, once she finally makes it to Coruscant and starts working in the Senate, that Leia meets Bail Organa, still working as Senator of Alderaan. The two of them click IMMEDIATELY and Bail ends up becoming Leia's mentor in politics, as well as the person who actually introduces her to the Jedi themselves. Anakin and Padme had never really bothered to do so, both because they were so rarely around, but also because they had chosen not to give Luke and Leia to the Temple and decided at that point that it would be easier to keep the twins and the Jedi separate. Bail of course has no such compunctions and even if he knew about Anakin and Padme's feelings on the matter, I imagine he'd find ways to allow Leia to accidentally bump into some of the Jedi while she was on Coruscant. If he just so happens to double book himself for lunch with both Leia and Obi-Wan, it's hardly anything malicious and they may as well all eat together!
Leia finally feels like she has a parent who gives a damn about her, someone who acts like a parent to her, the parent she's always wanted. Her grandparents had always been incredibly kind and they obviously had to do a lot of parenting, but they'd always been very strict about making sure the twins saw them as GRANDPARENTS and not their actual parents, which just make the absence of their parents that much more obvious and painful. But with Bail, she's finally got someone who doesn't care that Anakin and Padme aren't there and doesn't feel the need to create a wall between them for Anakin and Padme's sake. Bail takes her under his wing, teaches her everything she knows, allows her to explore things she'd never been allowed to explore before, connects her to even more people who can help her understand herself better than she's ever been able to before. THIS is what a parent was supposed to do for her and she knows it, THIS is what selfless love looks like from a parent and she THRIVES under it for the first time in her life.
She eventually decides not to stay on as Pooja's aide because she has no real desire to become a senator for Naboo at any point, but she IS good at politics and desperately does want to help people any way she can, so she starts up some sort of organization of her own to help people around the galaxy (and connects it to the Jedi because deep down she KNOWS she was supposed to be one of them even though that path is now closed to her). But she doesn't go back to Naboo, she doesn't make her home on her mother's home planet.
She goes to Alderaan instead. And this time, she gets to stay there for the rest of her life.

Under the influence: Part 2
Part 1
As per popular demand, couldn't leave this one without a part 2 :) I hope you'll like it!
Warnings: suggestive? perhaps, enemies with benefits, jealousy.
Villain was never the smothering type. They weren't needy, clingy or possessive. They never got attached and certainly were not one to get jealous. They would be pegged as indifferent and detached, if anything. They hated feeling suffocated by unwanted attention and trapped in endless power plays, so they distanced themself enough to make their stance clear. In other words, Villain didn't do relationships.
But this time was different. Their night with Hero evolved into something they were not anticipating. At first, the whole enemies-with-benefits situation seemed like a good idea. Both of them needed an outlet from their daily lives and struggles - and what better way to do that than fucking out the built-up tension? And it worked well. Too well, if they dare say.
Hero's birthday was three months ago, though it felt much longer than that. Their days went by in a grey haze while the nights blurred into something akin to a nightmare. They met up once or twice a week. Those were the only days that Villain remembered clearly. It felt like they were constantly drunk, only sobering up for the few hours that they spent in Hero's bed. Always in secret, of course. Hero had a reputation to uphold - being seen so much as talking with Villain would be a disaster. Publicity mattered more.
Which was the exact reason for Hero's official date today. And no, Villain did not give a damn about the arm candy that hung onto Hero like their life depended on it. If their sweet smiles and exaggerated giggles made Villain sick in the stomach, it had nothing to do with Hero. Villain despised public displays like that, simple as that. They knew the annual reception was coming up - and Hero needed someone to take. Again, for publicity. The few dates they had sparked discussions, which was what their PR team was building drama for - a red-carpet moment.
Villain huffs, annoyed that Hero cancelled on them for the ditz they were fake dating. Yes, they had every right to date whoever they liked. It's not like Villain had any claim over them or anything. But it still stung. They tried to convince themselves that it was their pride, but the dull ache of their chest spoke otherwise. They slammed a hand over their heart, willing it to shut up.
"I thought you had plans," Hero's voice interrupts their inner monologue rather harshly.
Villain whips around, eyebrows rising. "What are you doing here?" Hero shrugs, sitting down on the cold concrete of the roof Villain was occupying. "Though you had a date?"
Hero nods, mind absent as they trail their eyes over Villain's forced smile and strained jaw. "I did. It ended."
"That soon?" Villain cringes when the question comes out, flooding their throat with rising bile. They intended it to sound sarcastic. It's pathetic how badly they fail to control their emotions.
Hero chuckles, oblivious to the tribulations of their archnemesis. "Took some pics at the bar and walked them to their door."
They don't understand why Villain even wants to talk about something this insignificant. They'd prefer to be kissing them by now, like they always do on this roof.
"That's barely even a date," Villain comments, their voice bitter with something they've not deciphered yet. It's neither jealousy nor anger, the taste more reminiscent of... disappointment? They don't know.
"As long as it counts with the press. Wouldn't wanna waste my whole evening," Hero replies, eyes trained on the city lights. After a moment of silence, they turn to face Villain. "Do you have time? I know I cancelled, but I'm here now."
"What, your contract doesn't cover sex?" Yeah, definitely disappointment. They pray Hero won't question it. "I don't have time, though. I've got places to be and people to rob."
"Hey, are you mad at me?" Hero finally seems to be using their brain, but Villain is nowhere near being happy about it.
They curse under their breath and attempt to salvage the situation by acting dumb. "Why would I?"
"I- you seem off and..." They stop mid-sentence, stepping back into the shadows to avoid being seen when they see a reporter crossing the street.
'Course, publicity over everything," Villain bites their tongue a little too late. They shouldn't have said that. They have no right or reason to feel hurt. And yet they do.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Hero steps towards them, about to get hold of their hand, but Villain withdraws it.
"Nothing," with that, they leave, deserting Hero on the cold roof.
Hero is left lost in thought. They keep replaying the conversation to try and make sense of what happened but fail to see the pattern of their behaviour, albeit unwilling, that caused the change in their dynamic with Villain. They are exhausted from the constant role they are forced to play, and Villain is the only escape they have - or, had, as it seems they will now be deprived of it, too.
Hero was in despair. Between patrolling the streets, constant nagging for interviews, fake dating and not seeing Villain other than for battle for two whole weeks, they felt overwhelmed and utterly helpless. It was too much - everything happening at once, urgent demands after pressing requirements after persistent responsibilities. They felt like a caged animal and had no one to blame - all of it was their fault. Thus, Hero was losing their sanity, and the one person that had the ability to ground them wanted nothing to do with them anymore. Another thing that was entirely their fault.
And if all of that was not enough, they had to attend the stupid reception that the mayor was hosting.
"Just my luck," they mumble, struggling with their hair, as their fingers tremble with unreasonable irritation.
They know it's not a big deal, they've been through the same kind of event a dozen times before. Today wasn't gonna be any different. They'll have a glass of ridiculously expensive champagne, force a smile here and there, nod and look invested when someone talks, take pictures for the press and leave as soon as they can. Even if their mind races back and forth, not allowing for a moment of quiet.
Needless to say, by the time their car stops in front of the city hall, Hero is on edge. They are attacked by flashing cameras and a billion questions fired at them as they walk through the doors, ignoring everyone. A glass is pressed into their hand as they enter, the mayor appearing by their side in a matter of seconds. The evening proceeds as predicted until a painfully familiar voice invades their wandering mind.
"Where's your date?" Hero attempts to turn but a firm hand prevents them from moving.
"Villain." The sigh of relief that escapes Hero is audible even over the music. The can't help the smile that tugs at the corners of their lips. God, they missed that voice. "I came alone."
"Hm?" Villain quirks an eyebrow, rounding them to stand face to face to their beautiful yet miserable archnemesis. "How come?"
"You're talking to me now?" Hero looks at them with barely contained contempt. They want to yell at Villain for ignoring - better yet, abandoning them. But that would imply admitting they were in pain.
"Excuse me? I've talked to you plenty." Villain tilts their head, lying through their teeth, but Hero sees right through them.
"No, you have not," their voice is scornful, eyes fixed on their fingers gripping the glass until their knuckles turn white.
"What, did you miss me?" Villain knows it's a poor attempt at mockery when their heart is leaping up their throat.
"I did," Hero admits, as if it's perfectly ordinary for them to say. In their mind, it is. "Why do you look surprised?"
Villain shakes their head, flabbergasted at the path their conversation has taken. The music grows louder as people start flooding the dance floor. "Why would I?"
"Don't give me that bullshit again," Hero pleads, their gaze searches Villain's face for answers but upon not finding anything, they stretch their hand towards them, opting for a different route. "Dance with me?"
"What?" Villain meets their eyes, their expression incredulous. "Are you out of your mind?"
"Perhaps I am," Hero leads them to the center of the room, ignoring the immediate stares and whispers. They are done with hiding. "I've missed talking to you," they murmur into Villains ear as they draw them closer by the waist, "and holding you."
Villain can't breathe, their lungs contracting in their chest at the feeling of Hero's palm against their back. "Did someone spike your drink again?"
Hero shakes their head no, prompting Villain to focus on them. They notice everyone's attention and their manager freaking out in the corner.
"Hero, people are watching." Villain can't tell if Hero is sound of mind at this point, but they still try to reason with them.
"So?" Hero winks before dipping them back. It's an act of rebellion, Villain assumes, barely suppressing their smirk. Fucking finally.
"There are reporters," they point half-heartedly, amusement creeping into their voice.
Hero lets out an exasperated huff but when they speak, their tone is firm and determined. "I don't give a damn about reporters. I need you."
"But what about..?" Villain's question is cut short by Hero's lips pressed against theirs. Their lips part at the suddenness of it, and Hero uses the opportunity to slide their tongue into their mouth. A few gasps and a shriek of horror escape the guests but Hero couldn't care less.
When they pull away, Villain's eyes remain closed to keep all of the spectators out of their mind. "Your public image is in shambles now."
Hero shrugs, an ecstatic grin stretches their lips when Villain meets their gaze. They recognise the familiar dangerous sparkle before Villain can utter the words. "Kiss me again?"
"Right here?" They question, stunned by the request because it was Villain - the same Villain that was disgusted by public sentiments. Villain's eyes go blank again, just like they did in Hero's kitchen when they assumed their advances were unwanted. Hero shakes their head frantically to stop their assumptions from forming. "Yes. God, yes."
Hero barely manages to get the words out before capturing Villain's mouth with theirs in a starved kiss. They feel famished, ravenous as they swallow Villain's every gasp. Suddenly Villain doesn't hate PDA anymore. They allow their arms to snake around Hero's waist, holding them close as they resume swaying to their own rhythm. Hero cups Villain's face and drags their lips over their jaw, before leaving a soft kiss under their ear. "Let's get out of here."

you know i have to ask about minthara/florrick and if they've been asked already, my other old women jaheira/nine fingers keene maybe?
thank you as always for indulging my pet ship :) and ofc I love Jaheira/Keene too
Minthara/Florrick
What made you ship it? I had Minthara with me when I rescued Florrick from Wyrm's Rock once and the visual of them together, the two sexiest creatures in the entire game, made my pupils dilate so wide that I had to turn down the brightness on my monitor. Instant OTP, but then once I started back-calculating a canon-plausible dynamic, I realized that were literally my perfect ship.
What are your favorite things about the ship? We got elven MILFs, we got pride and prejudice, we got the sheer juiciness of applying mundane relationship issues to two freaks who don't think they're freaks. They have everything and nothing in common. They have shared trauma they'll never talk about, not that they're capable of communicating effectively. They're in love at a certain point, but it doesn't make a difference. They could probably work it out if Minthara were less insane or if Florrick were more insane, but they're both so set in their ways that changing is just out of the question. They're a soap opera starring the two most self-contained women in the universe.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? N/A as there's no such thing, but I think in general fandom leans toward happily-ever-after as a ship default so this kind of ship, doomed to fail and not even really anyone's fault, is super underrated. I like drama, but also I think a happy ending just doesn't suit a lot of ships. Maybe there's some universe where these two could overcome their issues, but it's definitely not canon.
Jaheira/Nine-Fingers
What made you ship it? "ASTELE" out of the blue had me like 👀👀👀. All of their interactions are just so homoerotic sorry. It's also funny to have this hater-hater relationship between grown ass women. An immensely "for ME" ship.
What are your favorite things about the ship? I think they'd be really well-suited for each other! They have chemistry, and the feeling I get is that they could be a sort of long-term somewhat-more-than-friends with benefits situation. I'm always interested in alternative relaionship dynamics, so I like to imagine they're both very comfortable with a pretty casual thing; they're both really busy women, and I feel like Jaheira doesn't really want a new one-and-only nor Nine-Fingers a ball-and-chain. No love lost for not being one another's first priorities, they fulfill each others' needs and make each other's lives better even if they aren't "together" in the way most people understand. The sweetest thing is that Nine-Fingers watches over Jaheira's children when she's gone, like that's so caring and she does it without being asked or taking credit.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Not necessarily an unpopular opinion, but it always comes up so: no, Jaheira is not Nine-Finger's grandmother lol. She was just dogging her for being old, and it wouldn't make any sense based on the kids we know Jaheira has

Personal: For Profit Healthcare and Me
So remember how Peacehealth drove all the independent offices in four specialties out of business, thus forcing everyone to use their clinic, then closed those clinics to force everyone to go to their central clinic two counties to the south? And remember how both the Doctors who were running that clinic made a deal to operate out of a clinic a regional medical conglomerate was opening near the hospital? so instead of me spending all day on a sixty mile each way trek for my treatment I was using the last three months of skeleton crew treatment at old clinic which ended the last Thursday in September? Remember how they said we could all follow our doctors there?
Yeah, about that.
I've been dutifully calling ever two weeks to see if they were letting people schedule appointments yet. They sent out a letter saying they were open. I stayed up Tuesday to get in sorted. it was a whole drama because the automated maze to get to the scheduler was as much of a hassle as Peacehealth's and prone to dropping calls, forcing one to start from scratch each time. so that was frustrating and tine consuming.
Apparently they have no access to our health records, so it was a start from scratch situation. Me, mentally: Shit! This is going to be HOURS. Only it wasn't for all the wrong reasons. They take Medicare, but not Medicare Advantage. So if I want it covered I have to lose most of my benefits including having Medicaid pay my big Medicare copay. O.o. Or I can pay for expensive treatments myself as uninsured.
I was upset, but I remembered superstar medical social worker lady personally calling around town to talk dentists into taking medicare dental coverage for me thus opening up my small city so that medicare patients can now get root canals and crowns instead of learning to live without chewing.
So I still thought it was salvageable. Problem is she's gone and the woman replacing her is a busy supervisor who likes to call me two hours into my sleep cycle without warning and then gets angry at me for not being charming. Previous lady asked when was best to call and would schedule calls in advance for a time when I was able to be awake and functional. it is a lot easier for me to be charming when I wasn't just ripped out of REM sleep and am now being interrogated about something.
New lady is a supervisor and super busy with supervisor things and is made of no and is snippy. I can not make her understand that not only is a 120 mile round trip over mountain passes dealing with the traffic mess along the highway in the major metropolitan area where I once got caught in a four hour traffic jam and couldn't get off to pee, is an entire exhausting day for me and that plus a treatment would not only mean i could do anything useful that day, but the next day to. She can't grasp how much pain is involved in long car trips or how much treatments take out of me. She keeps hard selling me on this and then calling me resistant and recalcitrant like I'm the one being unreasonable for considering this basically insurmountable at my level of disability.
She did not fight the in town clinic for me. She did not try to argue them around.
Her, repeating a suggestion she has made over and over since the closing announcement: You should just get your GP to do it.
Me, explaining for at least the third time because we have this conversation every time we talk: I asked my GP last spring like you asked. They can't do it. It can't be administered by a GP. They'd need to hire a specialist and build new facilities for compounding and for special storage of medication.
Her: Well just ask you GP to give you a different treatment.
Me: There are no other treatments. I have medications to manage symptoms. These treatments are the cure. There is only one cure.
Her: You are being recalcitrant!
Me: There is literally only one cure. No new ones have been invented since last February. The cure is working. I'm getting better. i will get worse again with only symptom management.
But she kept arguing with me because I was being stubborn about facts being facts. My GP can't pull an entire brand new treatment regimen out of her ass. She would not let it go or let me go and I was exhausted because it was hours past when I would normally be asleep at this point and also what was the point of her hard selling me on demanding the imaginary alternative treatment or the 120 mile trip. I ended up giving and and saying something like, "I have to go now," which I know is rude, but we spent this entire conversation with her neither listing not understanding and basically acting like I was the asshole here.
So I'm fucked and I'm frustrated and angry. I was literally at the point where I was going to get better really quickly if I kept doing treatments, but if we stop now I'll be back to square one with it all to do again if another clinic opens.
And it's all like this because Obama and Biden didn't have the balls to stick to their universal free healthy care guns and decided to adopt the capitalist give away Republican health plan in pursuit of bipartisan buy in they did not get, which anyone paying attention told them they could not get, which Mitch McConnell vowed they'd never get as part of the project to make Obama a one term president at all costs. They burned all their political capital on a bullshit give away to insurance companies when they could have taken the same or less of a hit just giving up a developed country level health care system. No fucked up website needed for sign ups. No red tape or copays or catch 22 shit like I'm dealing with now.

Young Royals WIPs that own my soul
I am subscribed to too many WIPs. I'm excited about them all, but these are the ones for which, when (if?) that sweet ao3 email hits the inbox, I will embarrassingly squeal and kick my feet and drop whatever I am doing to read. I have read some of these surreptitiously at work or even walking down the street.
Sharing because I am procrastinating on doing something super boring. And I love talking about fanfiction and hyping it up. I am so invested in these Wilmons!!

On a lighter note, I'd love to hear your rant about tone tags!! I actually always debate whether I should put them or not when sending asks to you lol... I personally use them often because my friend group is all kinds of neurodivergent and I'm happy to make life easier for them (and myself, let's be real, I'm a chronic overthinker), but I'm curious to see your take on it, I just think it'd be neat to hear a different opinion <3
— 🐾
youtube
this youtube video does a better time at explaining my issues with tone indicators than i will ever do myself, i think. though i will preface this by saying that im glad tone indicators help a lot of people! if they're useful to you, then absolutely use them to your benefit.
they are at my detriment though. i both hate using them and having others use them for me. not that im mad at the anon who did use them, i've never spoke about this before so it's not like they'd know :D
tone indicators aren't very standardized, and meanings differ from person to person i've found. its difficult for me, someone with autism, to learn and remember, in part due to how everyone treats it differently, and also in part because they're so vast; there's just so many of them! communication is already difficult for me, especially online, so adding an extra layer of tone indicators makes me want to rip my hair out in frustration.
for myself, i much prefer people just talk to me without indicators. if i struggle to pick up on the tone, please trust that i will ask. at least allow me that. though if you absolutely feel like it's necessary to indicate something, then i prefer something like: (genuine) / (sarcastic) / (light-hearted) / (derogatory) / etc. writing the whole word out as your intention helps me understand a whole lot more than a single letter ever would.
and that's not through sheer ignorance. like i've tried learning and using tone indicators because some of my friends found them helpful, but i ended up confused and annoyed. like for example, i don't know if that "/s" the anon sent me meant sarcastic or serious, leading to what could have otherwise been a straight forward and understood message now being lost and confusing.
also some of them are stupid. i always read /pos as /piece of shit. /hyp is read as HYPE and not hyperbole to me. /dr means don't reply, but that's not a tone? its just extra effort for my autism to interact with when i'm already having to exert extra effort to have a conversation as an autistic person. y'know? that which is meant to help me is hurting me.
but again, please don't take my own personal views as an overarching criticism. i understand that tone indicators help a lot of people, and i think that's really cool. i just personally can't stand them when it comes to myself.

HTTYD Concept II
Mm, I really liked my last post and my brain is still thinking (it never stops-). So, I'm just gonna continue writing about this concept that brain keeps adding onto. I was thinking of maybe making this long fic for it though I'm not sure people would read it since it doesn't take place in the usual timeline in HTTYD (so no Hiccup, the riders, the hunters, Dagur, Heather, etc, though I COULD have them referenced). BUT, I do want to write it with my own original characters. Maybe one of the hunters that runs the whole thing is a descendant of one of the most well known hunters of the series like Viggo, Ryker, Grimmel, or Drago. Or it could be every hunter honestly. I kinda like the idea that every single hunter in that organization is some descendant of a dragon hunter or from a bloodline of vikings that hated dragons throughout history. It's like a tradition for them that they take up. Some kill the dragons they catch, some keep them as pets (surprisingly, though they most likely will never be free again), and some train them to benefit better hunts or just to fight for entertainment (EX: Training dragons to fight other dragons). No matter the reasoning though, it seems like these hunters are picking up where their ancestor's left.
Since this is a fic as an idea right now, I'm thinking of making it an x reader for multiple characters or just picking one and making it an enemies to lovers thing because I am a sucker for enemies to lovers fics. It could be like a hunter x reader that's just trying to do the right thing and keep as many dragons safe as possible (accidentally pulling a Hiccup move) after finding out about them and growing to admire that they even exist. I mean, how would YOU react to finding out dragons are real? My heart would freaking stop and I'd faint from the overwhelming emotions, my goodness they better be safe and alive in that case-
Anyways, I could just imagine the absolute trouble reader could get into by meddling in things the reader shouldn't be getting into. The question is...how far are these modern hunters willing to go? Murder is illegal, so these guys probably have the money, numbers, organization, and the political power to just get away with whatever they want, a scary thought indeed. And to make it worse, the reader isn't Hiccup, they don't have a dragon at their side to help if things go wrong. Though, that doesn't mean a dragon might not be smart enough to realize that a human is helping them. Some dragons are clearly intelligent enough to understand that as seen in the movies and shows so it isn't entirely impossible that the reader could get some backup from a wild dragon or two if they play their cards right.
The only problem left would be keeping their identity and personal life safe. They'd have to deal with a lot on their plate, dealing with something they don't really understand and the reader may end up dead if they aren't careful. But whose to say if the reader even goes through the idea of saving as many dragons as possible? The reader is only one person, but maybe, just maybe, saving at least one or a few dragons and allowing them to stay at the reader's house is enough...plus they could finally put that empty field to use and get a stable built (one that can hopefully withstand the weight of a few dragons). But that would only lead to more trouble wouldn't it? In the modern day, I don't think dragon hunters would let one dragon go. Not a single one.
Maybe the reader took an extremely important egg or dragon species that they want back, maybe the reader has embarrassed their leader or co-leader greatly and he wants revenge, or maybe both? Whatever the reason is, they're coming once they figure things out.

About Judgment: In short, I think RGGS was intending to continue the series. There were indeed rumors at one point that the series would end at Lost Judgment due to a disagreement with Kimura's agency, Johnny & Associates, about porting the games to PC--I'm unclear on why, there was speculation but I don't think it was ever stated. Obviously the PC ports are out now, so either that wasn't the issue or they moved past it. There's also just general disbelief around there being a third entry simply because there's this idea (joke?) that Kimura never does three of anything, which isn't true at this point. It is true RGGS historically hasn't done three of anything in terms of spinoff series (Kurohyou, Mobile+Kizuna, and arguably Kenzan+Ishin), but it's also true that none of their past spinoffs have been as successful as Judgment, and we're seeing a lot of "firsts" from the studio lately. The fact is that Yokoyama himself said something along the lines of "and of course, we won't forget about Judgment" (not literally, just the closest English expression I can think of that can be misinterpreted in the way I'm about to explain) while talking about future works. But for some reason, people took it as if he meant it "in mourning" rather than an obvious confirmation of more to come, I guess? A TV show was also announced, so I really don't get why they'd invest so much into a series they were going to end. I know Kurohyou got a show too, but this seems different. Anyway, that's the most recent information, but it's from some years ago. There is a major new development, however: J&A talents' contracts are being cancelled left and right as of the last couple of months due to the agency's dogshit handling of and response to an investigation into Johnny Kitagawa's serial abuse of allegedly hundreds of his talents. That's been going on since the man died in 2019, basically, but a lot's happened this year.
This has left the talents with the incredibly tough decision of either remaining at an agency that refuses to even change its name and is rapidly breaking down or leaving. It has historically been very difficult to do the latter. On top of what you'd expect, J&A controls their talents to an insane degree and has leveraged their control of the media to suppress the careers of those who leave.
Broadly, in terms of how media companies have responded so far, I understand not wanting to associate with J&A and that J&A would likely benefit from the contracts more than the talents, but it still feels like the talents are the ones being punished... I have to imagine at least some of them were victims, so to be victims of the blacklist on top of that... That, and some of these companies kept the truth from coming out for decades.
With J&A losing its foothold in the media, though, there may be no better time than now to leave the agency. I don't know if Kimura will--rumors have been circulating ever since his idol group were forced to break up years and years ago, but while they all went independent, he never has--especially because a lot of seniors like him feel a responsibility to stay and change the agency for the better. As of right now, I'm not aware of Kimura's contracts getting cancelled, so I can't say one way or another if that'd have an effect.
I don't know what happens from here. I'm not sure if RGGS will look at it as collaborating with J&A or with Kimura or both, and how they'll factor in what's going on right now into working with him. Hypothetically, it would be possible to continue the series even without Kimura (any of the other mains do or would make great protagonists), but at the same time, Judgment is hugely reliant on Kimura's charisma. That's why people who play the dub (or people who don't like Kimura) often come away with the impression Yagami's kind of a dick or doesn't stand out much.
So... that's the state of Judgment right now. We won't know until we know, I guess.
OHHHHH OK saucy... sucks about J&A- it'd be cool if yk. they could face the consequences of their actions LMAO but that Could involve displacing hella workers now wouldnt it

Can I pull these TWST Characters? (& would their parents approve?)
Realistic answer is no for everyone but one can dream-
Inspired by mod A at @imaginefandomheadcanons!
Tumblr media
Riddle Rosehearts - Yes we can bond over mommy issues and I would hyperfixate on learning all of Queen of Heart's Rules Trey Clover - Maybe? I mean I like baking but he's a bit too much of an enigma for me to figure out Cater Diamond - 50/50 I can see his insecurities under that loud facade but I don't know if I'm right for him Ace Trappola - No he's a bit too mean for me even if he's joking I would probably take it to heart Deuce Spade - Yes he's already flustered around girls and I understand his shame for disappointing his mom
Leona Kingscholar - Maybe? I can understand his frustration with always being second best and eventually giving up on trying but I find it hard to imagine he'd take a interest in me romantically Ruggie Bucchi - 50/50 he's kinda tricky to get close to but I understand what it's like to be scared of not being able to put food on the table and know that richer people will always be better off no matter what Jack Howl - Yes I can sit on the sidelines and be his biggest supporter but wolves are quite possessive and a bit of miscommunication can end the whole thing
Azul Ashengrotto - No but I want to- He probably won't drop his walls enough for me to get through but god damn it I'll fucking try Jade Leech - 50/50 I can't really understand him as much as I want to, he's kinda like Trey but more dangerous, I'll be in the mountain lover's club to genuinely learn from him tho so who knows Floyd Leech - Maybe yes? It'll only last a day, I'm probably not interesting enough to keep his attention on me but I can kinda relate to his impulsiveness
Kalim Al Asim - Yes but I might not be able to keep up with his energy Jamil Viper - No but I want to- Drop your fucking walls and let me through damnit-
Vil Schoenheit - No he's too high maintenance for me, my inner curiosity wants to learn all the skin routines from him but I don't think I can keep up with his drive of working to be the best Rook Hunt - Yes and weirdly I can appreciate it Epel Felmier - Maybe? idk how to explain this one
Idia Shroud - YES MARRY ME WE ARE PEOPLE OF THE SAME KIND
Malleus Draconia - Yes not only because of Yuu but I can relate to the feeling of loneliness and being left out because you're the odd one out, also we can hyperfixate on gargoyles together Lilia Vanrouge - Yes now this amount of energy I can handle, also we can reminisce together, time is both cruel and merciful Silver Vanrouge - Yes I can take care of him when he falls asleep and match with his gentleness Sebek Zigvolt - Maybe? I have sensitive hearing so I can't take his shouting all day but I get his drive of wanting to protect people he cares about
Say I did pull them, would their parents approve?
Riddle Rosehearts - No, a magicless person is a magicaless person no matter how good their grades are, and it'll backfire if my grades are better than Riddle's Trey Clover - Yes, Clover parents are such sweethearts Cater Diamond - Yes but keep his sisters away from me I am only selectively clingy Ace Trappola - Yes they'd probably have too much fun teasing me Deuce Spade - Yes Spade mama is a big softy I love her
Leona Kingscholar - No they probably wants Leona to benefit the kingdom by marrying royalty from another kingdom, also no blood-related children Ruggie Bucchi - Yes grandmas love me, plus I'm bringing some homemade food Jack Howl - Maybe? They'd probably already talk about marriage and I'd feel pretty uncomfortable
Azul Ashengrotto - Yes they'd be happy that Azul's finally found someone who accepts him as he is Jade Leech - 50/50 They'd probably think I'm too innocent Floyd Leech - 50/50
Kalim Al Asim - No even as part of his harem they'd want someone beneficial, also no blood-related children Jamil Viper - Yes they're glad Jamil found someone who understands him but they wouldn't want to continue the Viper servant line
Vil Schoenheit - No my work drive can't keep up with the whole family plus my looks are average Rook Hunt - Maybe? They're too much of a mystery to me Epel Felmier - Yes Meema would love me
Idia Shroud - Maybe? Idk I haven't played through Chapter 6 yet but I have a vague idea
Malleus Draconia - No grandma Maleficent would prefer Malleus marry some royalty, also no blood-related heir Lilia Vanrouge - I'd have to obtain the ability to talk to the dead first Silver Vanrouge - Yes I'm calm enough for Silver but I can vibe with Lilia, also grandbabies (stolen adopted because I don't want to give birth thank you) Sebek Zigvolt - Yes his parents would probably find it funny that the human kink passed on

things about the fell xenologue i wrote 3 months ago
spoilers for the entire thing of course :
Nel didn't lose her memory after sleeping 1000 years, which means Alear losing their memory was likely due to them being transferred Divine dragon power instead of their natural type, as opposed to Rafal and Nel both being Fell dragons, of the same father no less.
speaking of Alear, xeno!Alear is confirmed to have been a fully Divine dragon, which means either they're Lumera's blood relative, or adopted from within the same tribe. i like the latter option better.
also about dragons, why are the xeno!Fell kids born as twins and why would that not apply to other dragon tribes ?
why're the fell-tainted emblems speaking ? That was never explained was it ? ( i do love how much of a struggle it is for them though )
the fact that they can't even be cleansed ??
what happened to them in the end ? we know that Rafal split the power he obtained from them between him and Nel, but where did the bracelets themselves go ? Are they just left behind in mirror Elyos all on their own ? pretty dark if they've just essentially been put down forever in an empty world... ( i've been seeing some people say that the bracelet emblems teleported to our Elyos and THEN we woke them up, but i thought Marth said emblems COULDN'T withstand travelling between worlds ? unless all the bracelet emblems are like Sombron's Zero Emblem i don't see how that would happen. )
Zelestia is an ADHD icon, and reps intense outward display of emotion, and I love her ok. I met her for the first time and i was like, oh ! she's her own character, not "good Zephia", she just looks like her ! and i love that for her. there's something about her i really appreciate and i'm not sure what it is.
just felt "eh" about Gregory during the story, but watching his supports made him so much more interesting to me, now i'm endeared
( why the hell is his name Gregory btw, who thought that was a good idea ?? )
Nel likes Timerra's singing ! good for her.
i understand why the Four Winds are only recolors ( barring Mauvier who is literally the same in every universe ), but MAN i wish they got new outfits. also the naming convention makes no sense to me. why did only 3 characters get new names ?
in the same vein, i understand why all the other alt characters look basically the same with some minor changes but damn they really would've benefited from more change. i mean you have a model for Timerra without her ponytail accessories for example, now would've been the perfect time to use it. in fact there's models for all the characters without their head accessories. and would it have been so hard to make Hortensia's hair a solid color ? stuff like that.
i thought Alear was a little out of character with Nel at first, it's not really in their nature to retaliate in arguments, usually they'd just take it in stride and keep being friendly.
every 2 seconds i forget Rafal's name and i don't know why

Cyberpunk 2077 Question(s) cos I've played it about 7 times already and I wanna hear your thoughts on stuff:
So...I hope I'm not the only one who may have noticed this but like...doesn't it seem odd that V, despite all that they can do and develop to, and all that they are capable of, through whichever lifepath the player chooses that like...V doesn't have the full character agency that they should have?
Like instead of "they wouldn't not say that", V actually would...and it's just...not there? For example: there's some dialogue choices that are in line with how V is, but it feels like...some of those choices and the way they're worded like...could've been more, or like...where V would've really said something that like...would've been like "Yes! They would say That! Why aren't they saying that?" And I'm not talking about like getting really aggressive, both physically and verbally (though there's moments where I would rather see that happening), but like... there's times where I feel like V should've used their background on the topic to resolve of what they need even if it still the answer or reciprocation of what V said turned up useless.
I widely generally know there was a lot cut from the game, but like...with 2.0+ showing what the devs wanted out the game...I kinda wished the dialogue was something they'd flesh out even more, for better or worse for V's predicament with the Inevitable.
Thoughts?
If I understand this right, you'd want more dialogue options for better role-play? Because I agree.
While I think the writing is one of the strongest aspects of this game (not free of criticism, of course) the role-playing part is very limited. Similarly to Mass Effect, choosing your background has little impact on your character besides a couple of extra dialogue options and some side quests. I feel like V's background should've opened up more unique dialogue options that could've lead to certain quests ending up slightly differently. I dunno, I felt little difference between playing a Nomad and a Street Kid. Ironically, I noticed that Corpo has the most dialogue options that do make small differences and can even benefit you during certain quests.
I think some of the skills should also have more impact on the dialogue options. I'm currently playing a Netrunner build with maxed Tech and Intelligence, and sometimes V doesn't get the option to say "yeah I know how this works" instead I'm given dialogue options that make V seem like they've never touched a computer. It's kinda sad.
And I get it's difficult to write a character with so many dialogue options, especially when it's a voiced character, which comes with a heap of limitations because time and money. You get much more freedom with silent protagonists like The Courier from Fallout: New Vegas, which gives you an insane amount of freedom in terms of role-playing, and the majority of your skills unlock brand new dialogue options that can drastically change how a quest ends or how characters respond to you.
It might also come to the fact that CDPR isn't used to writing a fully customizable character, and didn't know how exactly to approach V compared to Geralt who already has an established history and personality. Though, I'd be lying if I said that game Geralt is 100% in character with book Geralt. They had to take some liberties with him for role-playing reasons, which is why some of the choices are very OOC for book Geralt. But the point is that they don't seem to have enough experience with a customizable protagonist, or perhaps it can also be chalked up to the horrid working conditions and impossible deadlines. Maybe if the execs weren't putting so much pressure on them, they could've had more time to develop a story with more paths and branching storylines.

I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…) R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.) T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?) for Beej and/or Hawk!!!
AHH HELLO!!!!! Thanks so much for the ask these are so fun. Also they got insanely long I'm so sorry but okay okay answers below the cut for obvious reasons:
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect...)
Gonna answer these separately and then as a set, so, for my take on BJ I really think (very similarly to you LOL we are putting that man in situations) he spent a lot of time in his early life without casual intimacy and touch, so contact is hugely important in the way he perceives romantic/sexual intimacy. Holding hands in the moment, lots of kissing, the more points of intentional contact the better. I think my take on BJ tends to make him a little shier than some, so I think he has difficulty on occasion--and especially with new partners--relaxing into it. He likes giving more than receiving in general because I do think he's got some lingering guilt surrounding sex, pleasure, comfort, etc. He's more skittish than he seems.
My take on Hawk is that he's comparatively far more comfortable with sex, both giving and receiving, but intimacy is a different question. I think a lot of the sex he has is fun, casual, and in general just a way to have a good time. It's far less often he gets intimate with somebody who he's also extremely emotionally involved with, and that gets complex fast. When he's into it in that emotionally devoted way, it can be frightening, because he falls fast and hard, and if he's not sure the other person is feeling with the same level of intensity, well, he's vulnerable and easy to hurt. But if the other person is on the same page it's mind-blowing.
Now, these two as a couple. I think they're both very heady and interior people in their own complex and unique ways. BJ for his part reaps a lot of benefit from Hawkeye being very enthusiastic and unembarrassed about sex. I think they both also get a lot of pleasure out of giving, so it helps BJ early-on learn to let himself be the center of attention when he realizes Hawkeye actually likes, you know, body-worshipping him and so on. And Hawkeye sometimes just needs something to ground him and get him out of his head, and BJ is very good at providing the level of supportive, total-trust intimacy and care during sex that means the world to a Hawkeye who has been let down a number of times in the past.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
BJ I'm going to say yes, with the caveat that at first it absolutely would have had to be initiated by a partner. Very skittish, my Beej, but also generally quite good at wanting to please. He'll try anything...as long as he's told exactly what that entails. Doesn't want to be embarrassed. Later on, though, once he's unlearned some of that fear and leaned into being competent, especially with a partner he knows and trusts, he's totally game.
Hawkeye is definitely a try-anything-once kind of guy to me. He's empathetic, naturally curious, and generally just a fan of people, so I think he's able to enjoy just about anything (or at least well enough to give it a shot) if he understands the reasoning behind it.
Beejhawk take is that they're anything, anytime with each other. Maybe one or the other is occasionally lightly reluctant to bring something up they'd want to try (who among us isn't occasionally embarrassed by desire, see the way this played out in the breeding kink fic basically), but once one or the other brings it up it's an instant 'sure why not.' And more often than not the other one will end up finding something extremely hot if the other is into it. They just really gel and genuinely trust and like each other, which I think lends itself to experimentation.
T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
Actually I'm just answering this one for Beejhawk (one track mind sorry), and my instinctive first answer was no, and then I decided yes, actually, but I don't think they necessarily see them as 'toys,' if that tracks. Like, do they have toys? No! Well, I mean, they've got that one old tie of Hawkeye's that has suspiciously bedpost-shaped fraying patterns, or a retired belt of BJ's that has an interesting crease where it's been folded in half an awful lot, and oh yeah, there's that glass thing they bought a year or two back, and Hawkeye brought home some sort of massage thing one time but the plug broke... and so on. Their experimentation is more scenario than object-based to me, but like, they get around. I don't think they really come into play frequently except as a couple? No justification, just vibes.

Danse: If you have the time to talk now, I'd still like to know what you think about Scribe Haylen. Cat: Is something wrong? Danse: No, not at all. Haylen's doing well. I simply wanted to talk to you about her, but I wanted to know what you thought of her first. Cat: She's as dedicated as they come. A real team player. Danse: I couldn't agree more. But I wasn't looking for an evaluation of her performance as a scribe, I wanted to know what you thought of Haylen... as a person.
- oh. ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh! i see what this is ;3
---- honestly? my thoughts on Haylen are mostly positive at this point, i don't think they'd make the worst couple.
-------- note to self: see if i can convince her to join the Railroad...
Cat: This isn't like you, Danse. Are you going to tell me what this is all about? Danse: I suppose I'm beating around the bush because I don't normally find these discussions easy to handle. I'll try and get right to the point. The truth is, I'm worried about her. Since you and I are getting along so well, I felt like I could confide in you about it... to get your honest opinion. Cat: She seems to be able to handle herself. Why are you worried? Danse: Haylen is a model scribe. This has nothing to do with her capabilities in the field. A few months before you found us, one of my men was shot multiple times by Raiders. Haylen stayed by that Knight's side for two days straight without sleep fighting to keep him alive... but he was on a slow decline. I decided that his suffering needed to end and ordered Haylen to administer an overdose of painkillers so he could die with dignity. Even though I'm certain she wanted to continue fighting for that Knight's life, she injected him without question. Cat: Are you asking me whether or not I approve? Danse: Of course not. I stand by every order I've ever given. That soldier was gravely wounded. Even if by some miracle he happened to survive, he would have been paralyzed for life. But the decision whether or not to ease that soldier's suffering isn't the point here. The point is what happened later that same evening. After what felt like an eternity, she collapsed into my arms, crying. I... didn't know what to do, so I just held her for a while. A few minutes later, she stopped, kissed me on the cheek, and simply said "Thank you", before heading back into the police station. Right then it hit me... maybe I pushed her too hard. I ordered her to ignore her instincts. To do something her medical training told her was wrong. That's why I'm worried about her... and for that matter, everyone under my command.
- yeah, these two would both benefit from getting the fuck away from the Brotherhood. like, tough decisions for tough situations, but ideally you don't send people into those situations, or at least without the resources and personell necessary to make it back.
Cat: Haylen will be fine. It's you that I'm worried about. Danse: Me? Look, four soldiers... over half of my team, are gone. Each one of them died because of decisions that I made. I understand the risks that come with the job, we all do. But how can anyone have confidence in me anymore? Hell, how can I have confidence in myself? Cat: Would it make you feel better if I told you that I believed in you? Danse: Actually, it does. Well, it looks like things have taken a turn. I signed up to be your sponser so I could teach you everything that I know, but it looks like I'm the one that needed the lesson today. All joking aside, I'm pleased that we had this discussion, and even with all the problems you're facing, you still took the time to listen. It's comforting to know that I can speak to you as more than just your commanding officer. Cat: I'm here anytime you need me, Danse. Danse: Anyway, thanks for letting me get that off my shoulders. I think it's been weighing on me more than I realized. I'm only sorry you had to see me at my worst instead of at my best.
- QUEST ADDED: convince Scribe Haylen to leave the Brotherhood of Steel.

What I can't understand for the life of me is why the SPN wannabes are so up Jensen's ass. I mean, how and when exactly did this start? There definitely does seem to be a division within their ranks between the two Js and I can't for the life of me understand how they think being Team Jensen will benefit them. It does seem like it's been going on for quite awhile. Is it personal, like Jensen is more fun/engaging? I can't believe for a second that Jared isn't funny and friendly and welcoming to everyone on set and off. Is it that Jensen was the leader of the two on set? I can't believe that either, Jensen has mentioned several times that when problems came up he deferred to Jared to deal with the suits because Jared seemed to have a closer relationship/more power at the network. Is it because they hung their hopes on Jensen's anticipated post-SPN star power? That hasn't really panned out, has it?
Could it have been Jensen's cachet at the network? But of the two, it's apparent that Jared was the WB/CW's baby from the beginning: he got the #1 spot on the call sheet, he was main protagonist of the series (and the last man standing), he seemed to have the ear of Mark Pedowitz, he was given holding deals at the network and ultimately his own series to control (and then a second one to boot).
So what is it about Jensen that makes the hangers-on hang on? I truly don't understand. If anything you'd think they'd want to suck up to the one that actually has a show (2 shows) with the power to craft parts/story lines and hire former friends/coworkers.
I will say that I believe that Jared has put a lot of work into both his mental and physical health over the past several years since his breakdown. I think he probably has been working on setting boundaries, saying no, and eliminating the toxicity from his life. Perhaps these wannabes are truly toxic and he knows it. So while publicly he plays along, privately (professionally) he knows better. I can only hope that he continues to move on and honor those boundaries, even with Jensen.
I just really don't understand the adoration.
You make a lot of great points, anon. To begin with, I don't think it had anything to do with liking Jensen more or thinking he had greater power. I think the how and when of it starting was when Jared had his post-season 10 breakdown and the extras were actively looking for more screen time if he wasn't going to be back. But Jared came back and dashed their hopes. I think that started a bit of resentment, and then with Jared likely being the one to push for an end to SPN solidified that resentment and for whatever reason, they just can't let it go. It's like my mom says, 'they cut off their nose to spite their face.'
Jared's had the most success post-SPN and he's had the best opportunity to cast former SPN cast members. So far though, the only people he's invited to be involved are Mark Sheppard, Richard Speight, Jr. and Jensen (though I think Jensen was more for novelty and a nod to the SPN family.) That should tell you right there what he may think about the other extras.

FNAF movie talk - (spoilers beneath the cut) (i did enjoy it it was very fun we saw it twice)
ok now that we're safely under the spoiler bar
I LOVED the set and the animatronics. The costumes were amazing and they did such a good good job with them. You could feel the love that went into making everything and just. Ah! Ah! I thought that they did a good job with Mike! Like yeah, let's stack on the motivation to stay here.
The issues I had are mostly around a couple confusing bits. And I bring them up because I had the mortifying realization as I was explaining to my partner's younger brother that - yeah. I know too much about this.
Anyway.
I think they kiiiind of bungled two of the ghost kids. Freddy's ghost, and golden freddy.
They really, really conflated the two throughout the film, and it makes the line later of him being like 'not freddy :)' quite confusing to someone who hasn't spent an agonizing amount of time in the lore. Like, even in the Freddy death scene with the bite? I am like 90% sure the kid shown leading to that was GF kid, not the OG freddy ghost kid, and it was definitely normal Freddy in parts and services and not golden.
I think they either needed to show golden freddy in that scene, or have the freddy kid ghost shown. By equating and confusing the two there, it really makes golden freddy later... confusing.
I think that actually, having golden freddy get that kill would have worked better. Because then it's shown before it's suddenly in their house! Or have both of them in there. Having just freddy and then being like oh uhh yeah there's five and you've not actually been talking to freddy ghost but GOLDEN freddy ghost hehe :) it's not great. it's a bit sloppy.
Making either direction more clear would have been a good benefit to the film.
And I think really the only other thing coming to mind right now is the kind of climax scene. It would have been stronger, I think, if Afton had kept the mask on. Like ok. Ok. Then the audience doesn't get the OHHHH THAT"S AFTON!!! recognition from the first scene, but then you wouldn't have the kind of weirdness of like... The impression I carried, perhaps wrongly, was that the ghost kids simply didn't connect springtrap with the man who killed them, and that's why in the games he is shown diving back into the suit; it masks who he is from the vengeful ghosts, because the funny bunny didn't hurt them, it was the bad purple guy.
Having afton take the mask off to gloat is a bit weird. I feel like they could have shifted that to have him still talking in the mask but referencing things from their interview talk to have as the reveal instead. Have Mike listen to him say something, idk, that clues him in to the fact that this is technically a set up. Afton with the mask off should, by my understanding, have drawn ghostie aggro. I know this is another canon, but it makes the whole... ghost situation a little odd.
I actually don't have problems with the drawing cluing the ghosts in, I just think the idea that they didn't aggro at Afton with the mask off to be strange. I would think at least GF would have gone aggressive, but again, his role is just... odd.
I also think, perhaps suggesting this is a sin, but I wish they'd sacrificed his iconic line there at the end. If they'd changed it to him just generally gloating about how he'd be back, instead of him always coming back, because like. It's a great easter egg, but you've really gotta be into the franchise to get it. To an outsider, it's just a little weird for him to say.
Springtrap looked fucking great tho, 10/10 loved him.
They were 10000000% right to give him a knife.
I'd give it like. A 7/10 overall. A 10/10 for sheer fun tho.
I am going to buy a big fuckin' poster for this movie and buy it the second it comes out on disc. I am dying to see what extras it will come with.
