I think what bothers me about the whole Natsuo thing is he's yelling at Dabi about "causing all this trouble", while Endeavour - THE DIRECT SOURCE of every single problem the Todoroki family have ever had, the sorriest excuse for a father EVER - is right there. Nobody's saying Dabi is an angel, but Endeavour's the one who should go to hell.

that's true anon! i guess the opposing argument would be ‘well enji hasn’t killed anyone’ but like i dunno, i really do think in this case in particular that it should all be looked at as a contained, todoroki family problem, just like you mentioned. dabi has committed a laundry list of atrocities (and he should go to jail for them), but at this current moment that is unfolding within the manga, it isn’t really about that. it’s more about the fact that he’s quite literally on the verge of killing his parents, and that’s what i interpreted natsuo’s whole ‘stop causing trouble’ line to be pertaining to, especially when looked at in conjunction with fuyumi’s dialogue.

so like, when we’re looking at it in that context, it sucks and it hurts, because enji is the root. i’m not saying abuse is a valid reason to go fucking psychotic and start murdering innocent people, but like you said, ENJI is where it aaaaaaall stems from. enji is, ultimately, the cause. ‘dabi’ wouldn’t have ever been a thing had enji been a decent fucking parent.

Haven't they broken several rules they've established just for everything to revolve around Tsukasa? Like...

1. A mystery can't be defeated in their own boundary (and yet Tsukasa somehow ripped Kako's heart out in his own boundary)

2. You can't use your tsueshiro in a boundary without permission (and yet Tsukasa ordered his to hold down Mirai)

3. Nobody could move because the school's time was frozen (yet Tsukasa did, as well as Yashiro, and Hanako who if I remember correctly suddenly unfroze on his own to break down into tears)

The earlier chapters were way better at following previously established rules and concepts compared to whatever's going on right now

I can understand the idea that Tsukasa is a rule breaker, he did destroy the previous n°3 in his own boundary too and it was an interesting twist! I can understand the idea and why it can be interesting, but the way AidaIro using all others characters/plots to make him stand out is just terrible. Dirsregarding rules is not a new thing about AidaIro unfortunately but Tsukasa really wins all medals on breaking them.

As you said, he was able to move when time was stopped and for which reason?? We don't know. Hanako was able to move once Akane and Teru got to him, probably because Akane is a clock keeper and can somehow give the permission to people to move.

I said it before and I will say it again, but wanting to show a character is powerful/cool by making the others characters look stupid is terrible writing, and that's the feeling I got with Tsukasa in general. (and chapter 109 is just a whole sequence of the characters being made fun of)

We don't know where to stand because he has every kind of tropes attached to him. They want us to understand he is some kind of martyr who is 'omg poor lil Tsukasa who was so selfless at only 4yo boohoo' (no matter which translation I read for the red house arc, he is believable somehow with Kou but then we get the flashbacks with Amane and it's gone). They put him in an 'angel' position and naive position in a lot of aus, want us so bad to understand deep down he is a nice boy. When we watched him do every possible horrors on screen. And don't get me wrong, I don't mind this, it's cool. Him forcing Mitsuba to eat, creating him, the way he treats some characters... It's the way they are not doing that to other characters who is so strange in my opinon. They know how to handle grey characters like Hanako or Teru (from the reader's pov) so I don't why they try so hard to put Tsukasa in a good light.

He is not a believable kid character in the red house arc, being smarter than Kou and Nene is not making him cool, it's just making Kou and Nene absolute idiots.

Him destroying his shackles thanks to Mirai power? It's not him being clever, it's Mirai and the clock keepers being made fun of. Him knowing what Hanako should be doing by using Nene? Not making Tsukasa cool, it's making Nene just as an object for Hanako's love, and to get a reaction out of him, most of the time by making Hanako look stupid. (I could go hours on why Nene is just here to serve as a mean to Hanako's character since some arc rather than being her own person but that's for another day)...

I understand that Tsukasa is like 'the antagonist and should be some steps ahead of the portagonist' but it's just so repitive in the way he is unpredicatble that it became boring and predictable. I was overjoyed to see him like this in chapter 108. (which was let's be honest the only good chapter in this new arc)

Tsukasa is really good here, which is why the drop of quality in chap 109 is even worst. Seeing a new side of him as a supernatural and his sorrow/hatred for Amane is really great. He even moralizes Nene about why sometimes you just need/have to get yourself out of situations alone, and that's how he himself proceeds because his brother never went to see him in 50 years. That he had no choice but to do so. It's great! Really great! To see that he is also an unpredicatble character and who decides to do what he wants not taking people's opinions in mind, because even his older never helped him when he called for him during all this time. It adds a good layer to his character and seeing him weaker/not really knowing what to do is something we desesperatly need for his chacter. But as everything in chap 108, chap 109 throws it out of the window and goes back to the usual ' we have set ups but terrible pay offs' things that has been happening a lot in the recent arcs.

He is also way too OP. As you said suddenly his tsueshiros could move again and he got rid of Kako. Even Hakubo and Teru being ones of the most powerful characters, were defeated once, Tsukasa never was seriously. It's never explained why he is so powerful (probably because he has an entity inside him/he eats others supernaturals) but the difference of levels is just insane, and absolutely not compelling to read.

We don't know why he is doing what he is doing and they try so hard to make him mysterious. They want us to get to know him without saying anything relevant or his backstory. We are left with whole chapters of absolutely nothing. Welp too bad I am not patient enough to see Tsukasa doing random stuff when half of the characters have rushed characters development or none because 'there isn't much time'.

AidaIro want us to understand they love him and that we should too but they are just destroying every other characters rather than make him loveable.

I hate what they did with his character, his role is terrible because it's destroying eveyone else's. Tsukasa is the favorite and it shows, but it's so badly done that I can't help but hate him.

So, why do some people who love Crimson Flower always go on about how the English translation is pure evil? Because they always say that "oh, Treehouse hated Edelgard," but they never do a side-by-side comparison of why the English translaton is significantly more pro-Dimitri and anti-Edelgard (notice who they leave out in that) than the Japanese script.

From what I've seen, it seems to come from early fandom interpretations of 3H saying that it was "mistranslated to make Edelgard look worse" that came from people who, uh. Primarily didn't actually speak Japanese, or otherwise had a fairly severe misunderstanding of it.

You'll see this with pretty much every big-name event that is claimed to have been "mistranslated" in general. The AM parley, the Continue To Kill no u, Faerghus Toxic Masculinity, and "the Dream Interview calls her an antagonist not a villain" are the Big 4 of this thing happening, and all four of them have been thoroughly debunked as nonsense by people who actually speak and understand Japanese. That's probably why the actual MAJORITY of events that get the "this was mistranslated to make Edelgard look worse" card don't actually have that side-by-side comparison you mention (since there's WAY more smaller things that they say this about, for example Dimitri was TOTALLY JOKING with Edelgard during Gronder 1 and TOTALLY WASN'T freaked the fuck out at her "jokes"), because the people who claim this are 0-4 on being correct about this for four of the most important examples of this supposedly happening.

So they'll kinda just say anything is Totally A Mistranslation in the hopes that the English-speaking fandom who for the most part don't speak Japanese will believe them, and through that believe them on what the game is "actually" trying to say. With that being, of course, that Edelgard was completely and utterly right about literally actually factually every single thing she has ever said in the game ever and literally actually factually every single other person who disagrees with her is completely and utterly wrong (unless what they're saying is, of course, in alignment with what Edelgard is saying).

And if anyone who actually knows what they're talking about comes in and corrects them - even nicely! - they'll either go on about how everyone is coming after them (read: people who understand Japanese are correcting someone who doesn't understand Japanese about something that exclusively revolves around understanding Japanese), or they'll accuse that person of being a liar/sexist/homophobic POS who just wants the poor little gay bean that is Edelgard to be pure and utter evil since they totally view all gay women to be pure and utter evil.

All this, from what I can gather, is mostly to serve as a justification as to why they like Edelgard since they view liking her as a villain to be a genuine mark of bad character, for some reason. They want to believe that she's the progressive figure who does everything for the little guy for one reason or another, and so grab for any excuse they can give her they can think of to make their interpretation of her not seem so unfounded against all of the evidence Edelgard provides the player that she really is just an imperialist who doesn't really give a shit about her people if doing so gives even the slightest bump to her goal of forceful unification. All because daring to like villains is just soooo baaaaad lmao

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I wish he would stop dancing around the issue. Like in those bubble messages about hating when people think they are helping but not… I feel like letting people assume what you’re thinking and who you’re talking about is part of the problem. When it’s a bit too vague, people will take it how they want, which can perpetuate all these rumours, etc.

I just wish someone would make a clear statement about this whole thing and everyone can leave it at that, like it or not. Idk I guess I just feel like it’s not really helping to cryptically hint at how you feel about things.

People will always speculate that he’s lying and that the company “forced” him to say something, but the fans that respect him at least would leave it at his word and be done with it.

i definitely don’t think it’s a very unpopular opinion tbh. i always assume he does it that way to get around not being allowed to talk about it. jype has always been an ignore the problem don’t address it company, so i think it’s his way of getting around that. but i also wish he could be more blunt. the times he has been he has also been dragged through the mud (not that everything he does isn’t also that way) so i also understand not wanting to cause more shit. it’s a double edged sword for him every time something happens unfortunately :(. but i also agree that ppl who actually did respect him would take it at his word, sadly ppl have a very delusional expectation of what they’re allowed to consider respectful to him. some ppl see trusting him as respectful and some see defending him and creating petitions as respectful. it’s sucky and unfortunate that the solution can’t be easier for him or us

Witch Hat Atelier / Atelier of Witch Hat / Tongari Boushi No Atelier is a Seinen manga series by Shirahama Kamome. There are currently 9 volumes out in English (and in German), it's ongoing and an anime adaption has been announced earlier this year!

The story revolves around Coco, a young girl who always dreamt of being a witch. After she messes up a spell and accidentally turns her childhood home and her mother to stone, she is rescued/taken in by Qifrey, a witch professor, and becomes his apprentice.

But of course more trouble is coming for her quickly, as the Brimhats - a fraction of witches who practice forbidden magic - have taken a special interest in her. And even the people she trusts might not all have her best interest in mind.

I'll be honest, Witch Hat Atelier is one of the best manga series I've read so far - and I've been reading manga for a good decade now. It's whimsical, it's gentle, it's funny, exciting, and just... special. Even when it deals with heavy and complicated topics, the mangaka clearly thought about what she wants to depict and how. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoiler anything, but one of the reoccurring questions the manga asks is how it is supposed to be fair that only certain people get access to power (magic) and how those people get to decide what magic is 'good' and allowed and what is 'bad' and forbidden - even if the forbidden magic could help many less fortunate people.

Not to mention how absolutely gorgeous the art is.

Also, the manga has a spin off series called Kitchen of Witch Hat / Witch Hat Kitchen which is a domestic fluffy cooking manga about the people living in the atelier and it's super sweet!

TL;DR: Read Witch Hat Atelier. Do it for the brushbug.

I love arjuna SO much, and while he has lots of different types of content in the jp fandom most of the other English arjuna artists are on other sites nowadays so I wanted to provide something for tumblr. I like to switch between all sorts of art (funny, sad, sexy, serious, epic, goofy) bc I want to show people his different sides and kinds of appeal that i feel from him. I also wanted a place where I could support (and gush) over all the talented arjuna artists that are here! (Bc there’s really talented people aaaa)

He’s such a lovely character and I wanted to talk about all the different things I’d learned about him and how important he was to me, and to try and see if I could get some more people to appreciate him! He got kind of a rough start in fate with how they handled him but I think that even with that he has a lot of good qualities that shine through and he deserves the world a little love from people

I love him! And I’m glad that this blog has been nice for other people who love him! Welp, i also had the opportunity to get the whole Shusters book…and i have barely managed to read the first four chapters of the book without throwing it in a trash bin🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️This is a total embarrassment for Shuster.

Wrong facts, sometimes dates, a clear undertone about Ze being a bad person, some pathetic dictator who actually gives a flying fuck about people in his country, his wife(who Shuster also managed to portray as a victim who suffers throughout their whole relationship cause bad terrible Ze only cares about his work all his life and not his relationships)and of course his kids. It’s feels like some fanfic story written on Wattpad. Sometimes, it also seems like he just made some thing and situations out of his mind to give some kind of undertone. I don’t even know if i can manage to read the rest of the book🤦‍♀️

For now, waiting for your review and opinion Jam!
