General info:
⚰️ Now, according to fiction, mythology, and what we have seen in movies/series, there are many ways that vampires turn humans.
⚰️ So there really isn’t a solid rule as to ‘how to do it’ since every story/movie/series portrays it differently.
⚰️ Regarding the DL universe, Rejet has never really seemed to explain much about this subject.
⚰️ We believe it was in one of the game routes, but Laito told Yui that a human could turn into a vampire if they spent too much time with one—in the sense that they’re always around them.
⚰️ This idea of a human ‘turning’ by spending too much time with a vampire can be seen in Netflix’s adaptation of “Dracula” where the main character, Jonathan, ends up turning as a result of being trapped in Dracula’s castle for too long since he was kept as a prisoner.
⚰️ (However, in the original Dracula written by Stoker, Jonathan’s outcome was much different; I won’t say much else since I don’t want to ruin it for those who want to give Dracula a read—seriously though, if you haven’t, you should give it a go, it’s a great read and one of my favorite novels.)
⚰️ Anyways, back to DL, even with Laito shedding some light on this subject, @liannelara-dracula and I believe that there’s much more to it and that there are other ways for a human to ‘turn’---and depending on the Diaboy, it’s done differently and for different reasons.
⚰️ In some adaptations, we see vampires have total control of their victims as they barely express any pain when they're being bitten—it’s almost kind of like they’re under some kind of spell/compulsion.
⚰️ In DL though, we see Yui experience a lot of pain and trauma in regards to the boys biting her, but this is probably because they’re using her constantly as a blood bag and not as a one-time victim they can dispose of.
⚰️ In vampire fiction/movies/series, we constantly see vampires feast upon victims and drain them of their blood entirely, not so much use them on a continuous basis as the Diaboys do with Yui.
⚰️ Plus, if they have some sort of compulsion they could use, they’re definitely not using it on her since she reacts, but we honestly think it’s because they get a kick out of her reaction—after all, it has been stated and noted in the anime that some of them like the fight she puts up to get away from them.
⚰️ In some fiction/series/movies, we also see the idea of a ‘sire bond’ between the vampire and their turned victim—sire bond in the sense that they are tied to the vampire who turned them and they have complete control over their victims. In other words, with a sire bond, a vampire make their turned victim do whatever they want.
⚰️This doesn’t always apply though as it isn’t in all vampire fiction, but it’s an aspect that has been used in this genre.
⚰️ However, bear in mind that if someone is sired to a vampire after turning, they’re indebted to them for giving them immortality, so it ties into why their makers are able to make them do whatever they want—almost as if they’re slaves to them.
⚰️ @liannelara-dracula and I also think that Karl has made his family move many times throughout the centuries when they moved into the human world, and this was due to Karl keeping an image since it would be strange to know a family that never ages.
⚰️ Since the Sakamaki Brothers are centuries old, they’ve probably repeated high school several times in different parts of the country.
⚰️ And this was probably because Karl wanted them to stay updated with human knowledge. It was also because of their appearances since they’ve been looking and passing for teenage boys for a long time.
⚰️ And since Karl was well known by the locals in every town he moved to, he had to show that his sons were going to school like everyone else in order to blend into human society.
⚰️ The Sakamaki Brothers have probably changed their names throughout the years as well—more so, whenever they moved to a new town, they would change their names.
⚰️ Plus, it has been noted in the games/mangas (I believe??) that they have changed their names and that their Japanese ones are not their original ones.
⚰️ Now, let's proceed on to the brother’s hcs. :)
Reiji:
❏ Reiji has indeed turned a human before and it was a woman.
❏ But it was entirely for experimental purposes.
❏ It was back in Germany during WWII.
❏ Reiji was a doctor and he met her in the ward he worked in.
❏ She was in the process of earning her dissertation and she worked under him as his apprentice.
❏ He was in charge of making sure she was doing everything right and that she was putting her skills to work since she was a physician in training.
❏ They were quite fond of each other in regards to being co-workers and in academics because this girl was smart. So they really leveled with each other there.
❏ They’d have endless conversations about the most intellectual things. They’d always talk about how they got into the medical field, such as what inspired them, and so on.
❏ They’d even get into talking about where they’re both from. And with Reiji being sly in nature, he of course had this covered and made up the fact that he came from another part of Germany.
❏ He showed some romantic interest in her, and with thoughtful gestures, smirks, glances, and words, it was enough to make her trust him and entangle their limbs in linen sheets.
❏ All seemed lovely on the surface of things, but little did she know what Reiji had in mind.
❏ Sick fuck.
❏ He would be working on the plan to turn her for months, and every time she'd catch him at his desk looking through books and studying for it, he'd always close his books and begin doing something else (in the most nonsuspicious way).
❏ She’d sometimes ask him what he was doing but Reiji always found a way to cover it up and would say he was just reading up on a few things or because he was curious about something.
❏ Reiji knew he couldn’t be stupid about this as she was very perceptive and would easily catch on if the faintest hint was given. So he kept up the charade of being her partner for a good while.
❏ The idea of turning her just fascinated him, and he grew quite infatuated with the idea considering he thought she was worthy enough of such a ‘gift’.
❏ And knowing how prideful Reiji is, he'd never turn someone because they want to---more so because he wants them to turn.
❏ So, he turned her without her permission, but he did it in a way she had no idea of and she didn't even suspect it.
❏ And of course, the day finally came when he did it.
❏ He acted just like his usual self and met up with her one afternoon in his study for tea. It has been a hard day at the hospital, so relaxing with a spot of tea with the man she adored was something she treasured.
❏ But of course, things didn’t play out the way she envisioned them. Over the course of their tea time, she started feeling dizzy and said she needed to lay down.
❏ Reiji played along and had her lay down on his bed for her to rest, her eyes closing as he smirked knowing that everything was going according to plan.
❏ With her being drugged, he took the next step in the process of turning her and sank his fangs into her neck, almost draining her to the point of death.
❏ He stopped there and pulled out a syringe full of his blood and injected it into her in order to revive her and have her transition.
❏ Reiji waited patiently and went about things quietly for a while as he waited for her to wake up.
❏ After a few hours, she woke up frantic and out of breath, her chest heaving as she felt groggy and out of it.
❏ Regardless of her distress, she felt different and she knew it.
❏ Looking up, she caught a glimpse of Reiji who was standing at the edge of her bed, an evident smirk on his face as she soon caught onto the idea that he was behind her collapse.
❏ "What did you do to me?"
❏ Chuckling and coming toward her, he’d say, “You still haven’t quite comprehended it? My, how utterly expected from a mortal.”
❏ “Mortal? What do you mean?”
❏ From there on, Reiji explains everything and she's honestly freaking out.
❏ With her on the bed, she pulled the sheet towards herself, and couldn’t believe what was happening.
❏ And with Reiji being the creep he is, he’d take hold of her chin and lift her face to look at him. She’d of course try to look elsewhere, but he wouldn’t let her.
❏ “It’s only a minor change to your life. Think of it as a gift.”
❏ “How could you do this to me?!” She cried. “Just who do you think you are?!”
❏ “You're my experiment, human!” He hissed, gripping her chin tighter. “You mean nothing.”
❏ “You sick bastard!”
❏ He sent a smack to her face, making her fall out of the bed due to him implementing such force.
❏ “Insolent girl! You should know better than to act out of term with a vampire.”
❏ She cries on the floor and feels not only disgusted but betrayed, and apart from this, she's feeling an unbearable hunger in regards to blood.
❏ But with Reiji being Reiji, he already had her hunger covered. Going over to her distressed state, he’d hand her a vial of blood.
❏ “Drink this. You’ll need it from this day forward.”
❏ Out of anger, she flung it out of his grip, breaking it into millions of pieces as it shattered onto the floor.
❏ With Reiji being defied, he grabbed her by her throat and pinned her beneath him, her breath hitching as she struggled for a breath.
❏ “Know your place, mortal. If you so attempt to defy me I‘ll make you suffer in ways you never thought were possible.”
❏ “I- I would . . .rather . . . ,” she choked, “die.”
❏ “Die?” He’d smirk, followed by a sinister chuckle. “That would be too easy. It only shows how cowardly humans are.”
❏ Through him having another vial for backup, he eventually forces the red liquid down her throat, despite her trying to fight him.
❏ With the blood in her system, he tells her to focus on her senses so he could see how heightened they are, but she's honestly so traumatized by what is happening that she just can't.
❏ But sooner than later, she began to hear things in the distance she’d never been able to hear before as a human. She felt an inhumane amount of strength unravel itself within her, and from this night forward, she knew she would never be the same again.
❏ With her transitioning successfully, Reiji could begin collecting the data he’d been looking for.
❏ She of course would fight and try to get away from him whenever he wanted to experiment, but with him being experienced and a pureblood vampire, he was a lot stronger than her.
❏ Is honestly turned on if she slaps him, he finds it amusing and chuckles at it as a result.
❏ But because Reiji doesn’t want to deal with her outbursts, he went about things a different way.
❏ So, he’d hypnotize and drug her a lot to keep her calm, that way she’d cooperate whenever he’d ask her questions in regard to something or if he wanted her to do something.
❏ He’d even keep her locked up somewhere whenever he had to attend his shift at the hospital that way she had no chance of escaping.
❏ Based on however she felt, he'd document it and write it down as data.
❏ Even how she'd hear/smell/touch/etc. and would compare these senses to when she was a human, such as how differently they feel now compared to then.
❏ He studies her behavior and if she’d find human blood to be tastier compared to animal blood.
❏ He’d just run a bunch of crazy tests and this lasted for quite some time.
❏ Aside from him experimenting, he would constantly tell her she's useless and that she's beneath him because she's not a pureblood vampire.
❏ Reiji eventually collected enough data and was satisfied considering the discoveries he made, but he of course didn’t want this to continue on forever.
❏ He eventually ends things when he finds that she is producing no more new data to him. In other words, the 'experiment' is done and there's nothing left, so he ends up k!lling her and returning back to the mansion.
❏ Caressing her face, whispering his last words to her as he closed her lifeless eyes, “My, what a nuisance you turned out to be. Always giving me trouble when I was simply seeking answers . . . I wonder if all humans behave the same? I have yet to find out next time.”
(Note: Laito's hcs here are inspired by Anne Rice's "Interview With A Vampire")
Laito:
❏ Laito too has definitely turned a human.
❏ And believe it or not, it was a man.
❏ It was 1742 in Paris, France.
❏ It was around midnight and Laito was lurking around the darkened streets, being near a street most people traveled on.
❏ His vision came across a young beggar who he witnessed steal bread from a stand due to his hunger.
❏ The beggar was of course yelled at and called a thief by the seller, but he just kept running, soon finding himself in a darkened alley that was quite far from the street he ran from.
❏ He sat down on the cobblestone, his back meeting the wall as he devoured the bread he smuggled. Laito had witnessed and followed him up until this point, watching him savor the bread like a famished dog.
❏ He soon finished and began to walk but he started to feel things turn strange, almost as if he were being followed. He’d look around to find no one, the streets to Paris being deserted at this hour in this part of town, a lantern here and there to light the way.
❏ The beggar shrugged off the feeling and started to walk again, but the strange atmosphere soon returned, his eyes actually catching a small glimpse of a tall, thin silhouette. He sank into a panic and started to run, but he was quickly tackled to the ground, his figure out of breath as he felt someone on top of him, feeling his strength slip as he felt blood draining from his neck.
❏ Noticing what was happening, he screamed and whimpered below. Laito lifted his face from the man’s neck and looked at his fear-stricken face, going down to his ear as he whispered, "Stealing won't get you very far, my friend.”
❏ The man was shocked to hear such words, realizing instantly that he had been followed the entire time.
❏ “Wh- who are you?!” He breathed hard. “What are you?!”
❏ Finding his reaction amusing, he’d add, “Such a pitiful life you live . . . but I think I know a way I can fix it."
❏ “You monster! Get off of me!”
❏ “Let’s make a deal shall we.” The predator would whisper, the young man whimpering below. “I could let you die here, or I could grant you a gift—a gift better than any human could give.” He’d say, sinking his fangs into the man’s neck again, causing him to groan in pain.
❏ Lifting up his face, he’d continue to whisper, “Neither sickness nor death will ever touch you again. You’ll remain young and intact as you are now, my friend . . . . but I warn you, there is no turning back to the life you lived before . . . . So, do we have a deal?”
❏ The man thought long and hard, it being the choice of many lifetimes if he chose to take Laito’s deal, but considering he had nothing and would eventually end up dying due to hunger, he figured it was now or never.
❏ “So, have you come to a decision, my friend. I’ll say I’m feeling quite parched over here. I could easily be spending my night else-,”
❏ “I’ll . . . do it.” He said, out of breath.
❏ Laito smirked at this and quickly sank his teeth into the man’s neck again, draining him to a very weakened point so he’d be completely immobilized.
❏ With his fangs, Laito ripped into his wrist, allowing his blood to drip into the man’s mouth. He lowered his wrist down to the man’s mouth and had him feed off of him. When it was enough, he snapped his neck, pushing his body into transition. Laito got off of him and stood by waiting for the man to wake.
❏ The man soon woke up, an unbearable hunger rushing through his body as he clutched his side.
❏ “What’s happening to me?” He’d groan.
❏ Laito laughed at the man, crouching down to his form. “Ah, well your body is transitioning. The only way to quench that feeling is to drink, my friend.”
❏ “To drink?” The man questioned.
❏ “Well, as a vampire, it’s only natural. It is the fuel of our existence.” He smirked, soon standing up, offering him a hand to stand with him. “Come, the streets of Paris are filled with lots of bodies just waiting to be tasted. Once you start, you won’t be able to stop.”
❏ With a newborn vampire on his hands, Laito taught the young man the ropes.
❏ He taught him pretty much everything he needed to know. Such as how to drink from people without causing a scene and how to get away with it without anyone noticing.
❏ They’d usually hit up all the prostitution houses. Laito insisted that it was the easiest way to get a drink, and that it never failed to satisfy his thirst, especially on a full moon. Plus, it gave them the excuse to have sex as well.
❏ Through still being new to vampirism, human customs still conflicted heavily within the young man. One night he visited a cathedral and noticed how differently things felt in a pious facility.
❏ The area felt cold, the warmth of hope being no more as he stood before the arena of saints, feeling as if he didn’t belong in such a place, a certain fedora-wearing vampire approaching him from behind as he walked down the center aisle of the church.
❏ “Ah, I see you still hold onto a common belief with humans, how amusing . . . . But bear in mind, my friend, that this all utter nonsense. Don’t even bother trying to consult the human’s precious god as he doesn’t exist to begin with. It’s all a bit of man-made nonsense.” Laito would say, soon heading back down the center aisle, leaving the man to look at the saints as he thought heavily.
❏ The protege learned quick and was rapidly adjusting to his new lifestyle.
❏ Laito would watch intently as his pupil experienced and learned new things at his discretion, finding it amusing.
❏ The fedora-wearing vampire never doesn’t have much reason for anything considering his care-free personality and what he’s been through.
❏ Everything is pretty much a game to him. Immortality has its perks, but it’s quite lonely if you will.
❏ Deep down, Laito did this because he felt sorry for him in a way and because he wanted a friend, even though he’d never admit those two things.
❏ Through being his teacher, Laito would find it funny every time his pupil would screw up, such as seeing him bite the wrong vein and make a mess of things.
❏ It was honestly like teaching a child, after all, the man was a newborn vampire.
❏ Laito also found it amusing how the man wanted to keep his humanity because eventually, Laito pushed him not only to drink, but rather drain.
❏ “You cling so hard to your human roots, it's honestly amusing . . . . But let me enlighten you, dear friend, there is no harm with a vampire taking lives, it's part of our nature.”
❏ Eventually, the man had grown tired of Laito and his endless antics that pushed his humanity further into the darkness. And of course, this was something Laito couldn’t understand due to his vampiric nature.
❏ The time came where he couldn’t take it and told off Laito. He told him that he ruined his life and wished he was dead instead rather than living through this inhumane hell.
❏ Laito of course tried to reason with him and tried to make him rationalize, but the man had had enough as he was tired of this life in the shadows and wished he could take it all back.
❏ “But my friend, I saved you from your peril. What more could you possibly want?”
❏ “Do you really think this is what I want?! I can’t bear to even look at myself and all the blood I’ve shed.”
❏ “Ah, but I told you there was no going back. If you didn’t want this life, then why did you take it?” Laito pondered, his tone carefree as usual.
❏ “Because I didn’t want to die! Do you have any remorse or even know what it means to die considering you’re the one who takes human life?! You didn't save me—you didn't give me much of a choice. You were just hoping I’d turn because you wanted a puppet to manipulate!” The man hissed. “This is hell! How could you ever understand?!”
❏ Laito didn’t think much of his outburst, his usual carefree manner now serious as he sternly said, “Well, if that’s the way you feel about it then so be it.”
❏ At some point the man left the country and Laito got bored with him as well, considering the man didn’t want to participate in Laito’s activities.
❏ He was a monster at this point and he knew it, but he’d rather be without Laito than to sink further down the dark path he was forced into in order to survive.
❏ And that was something Laito just couldn’t understand. He believed that he had given him a gift, but that wasn’t the case since the man was only trying to survive.
❏ This man was his first victim, and after his betrayal, Laito pursued to turn many, but not for friendship, it was strictly for fun.
❏ And if his victims don’t want to turn, he only finds it more amusing—after all, since when does Laito take anything seriously.
❏ He thrives on doing this to people nowadays and sometimes, even though he hates his protege’s betrayal, he stops to wonder how and where he is.
❏ “Such a shame you didn’t stick around, dear friend. We could be having so much fun right now, but fret not, I’m sure we’re bound to cross paths again . . . and when that time comes, I’ll gladly show you what it means to be ungrateful and run away from the one who gave you life a second time.”
Kanato:
❏ It was 1818 at the Sakamaki Mansion and Karlheinz was hosting a lavish ball in the human world.
❏ Before it wasn’t regarded as a haunted house in the modern age, the Sakamaki Mansion was a well-established residence in 1818—beloved and known by everyone that a wealthy man, named Karlheinz, lived there with his six sons, and that their mothers had suffered ‘tragic’ deaths.
❏ He invited all sorts of people he knew, neighbors, important town officials, the mayor, etc.
❏ Everyone in town was familiar with the Sakamaki household and they were thought of highly by society considering they were well respectable and high on the social ladder.
❏ Or so it may have seemed.
❏ The mayor of the town attended the ball with his daughter. Due to his daughter having a talent for singing, she was asked to entertain Karl’s party with her voice while playing the piano.
❏ (and this was considered a pass-time, let alone a turn-on and a way men courted women in the 1800s.)
❏ The young woman sat down at the pianoforte and began to play and sing a classical piece. Everyone was listening, but her talent was caught by certain purple-haired vampire in particular.
❏ Kanato was entranced by his guest, the way her blonde locks fell against her shoulders, the way her pale lips let out the sweetest tunes, the hue of her dress delicate, and how well her fingers played the ivory keys.
❏ She had a sweet personality and was probably a little closed off by nature.
❏ She was virgin all the way around, probably blonde and pretty frail, 16 or 17 in age.
❏ After she finished singing and playing her piece, everyone clapped and she headed off to the household’s courtyard.
❏ Kanato saw an opportunity and he took it. He followed her and found her perched on the fountain’s ledge outside in the courtyard, her fingers guiding a few flowers on the surface of the water as she shed a few tears.
❏ Coming closer, he noticed she had been crying and decided to cheer her up by saying, “What a beautiful song. You really had everyone’s attention.”
❏ She looked at him, her distraught state in full view. Here, he’d take the opportunity to hand her a handkerchief.
❏ “Thank you.” She’d say, taking the handkerchief.
❏ “Of course. It gives me great pleasure to comfort a beautiful woman.”
❏ “I suppose….”
❏ “Whatever the case, you sang beautifully. That song was unlike anything I had ever heard.”
❏ She frowned, looking down at the water in the fountain, “My mother used to sing that song to me when I was little.”
❏ Kanato sensed her sadness toward the subject, “I can understand your mourning . . . I actually lost my mother too.”
❏ She smiled at him, feeling herself connect with him due to being in the same situation. He stood up, gesturing to take his arm.
❏ “May I escort you back to the ball?” Kanato queried.
❏ “You may.” She beamed, linking arms with him as he escorted her back to the ball.
❏ And from there, things only escalated.
❏ Back inside, he asked her to dance with him, his lips kissing her knuckles as he demonstrated a gentleman gesture.
❏ She of course said yes, and they participated in quite a few dances. He liked the way he felt when his arm was wrapped around her small waist, the way her eyes gleamed in the chandelier light as they danced from one end of the room to another.
❏ That night, he spent a lot of time speaking to her since he wanted to get to know her. They got along quite well and he acted very sweet towards her, almost as if resembling a prince regarding his mannerisms and the enchanting things he’d say.
❏ But of course, this was only the first night. That night when they parted, they felt that they had known each other for centuries, and Kanato knew this wouldn’t be the last time he’d see the girl.
❏ Before leaving, she returned his handkerchief to him.
❏ And as creepy as it was, he kept it in a box since she had stained it with her tears.
❏ Creepy fuck.
❏ After his first encounter with her, he’d request for her presence pretty often, in the sense that he would invite her over for tea.
❏ And believe it or not, he actually shares his sweets with her and is a total gentleman. Not even his brothers could believe it at the time.
❏ He charmed her enough through meeting each other not just through having tea together but also at a few other balls Karl hosted in the human world. He danced with her and was pretty interested since he found her pretty.
❏ She took an interest in him as well, and things did not go as expected.
❏ Because he knew that she liked him, he took advantage of this.
❏ He would keep Teddy hidden in order to seem ‘normal’ to her every time she would visit.
❏ Plus, it’s not like Karl would allow him to have Teddy in his possession when human guests were over. They’d instantly think something’s off since Kanato looked like a teenage boy. And the last thing Karl wanted was for his son to come off mentally ill to a society that thought so highly of his family name.
❏ The first time they kissed he was pretty sly about it, even cheeky since she honestly wasn’t expecting it, but because she liked him, it only made the relationship go further.
❏ They loved meeting up together on the balcony to look at stars and he taught her how to sit on the ledge as we see him do in the anime.
❏ At first, she thought he was crazy.
❏ “You’re gonna die if you sit up there. Kanato, come down.”
❏ “I always sit up here to think. You should try it.”
❏ “This is crazy! What about if I fall off?”
❏ Smirking, he’d say, “Then I’ll catch you.”
❏ They have endless conversations here. He once asked her what she’d want most in the world, and that was to live forever, but she laughed it off knowing it was impossible, but Kanato took this personally—a little too personally.
❏ Through establishing their relationship to a serious level, Kanato of course took the opportunity to push things further and sleep with her. He took his time when it came to her and didn’t care how long it took, all that mattered to him was that she loved him and that she was his. ❏ They exchanged letters back and forth when there was no ball for them to attend and this gave them the excuse to see each other as well even if they didn’t meet up over tea.
❏ He’d bring her flowers and was genuinely sweet with her—a little too sweet.
❏ He kept up this ‘sweet’ act for a while, but that was until he turned her.
❏ The night he planned to turn her was at a ball, he sent her a special dress he wanted her to wear for the ‘transitioning ceremony’.
❏ He actually sewed it himself. He also gave her ribbons for her hair—he basically had a whole outfit set up for her.
❏ After the ball he dragged her to a closed-off room in the mansion claiming to want privacy with her.
❏ And this closed-off room just so happened to be Kanato’s infamous doll room, one she had never seen before. The girl thought it was strange but didn’t say anything since he was so excited to show it to her. He kept going on and on about each ‘wax figure’ until he came to pause, which was where she decided to get to the point of things since this place was creeping her out.
❏ “You’re quiet, my love, does this place make you uncomfortable?”
❏ “Uh, no, of course not. You know that all your interests matter to me, even though I am not sure why there are so many figures with bridal gowns.”
❏ “I can understand, these dresses wouldn’t suit you the more I think about it.”
❏ “What are you saying?” She’d question.
❏ “It’s nothing to worry about, my love. . . . Tell me something, how would you like for me to grant you a wish?”
❏ “A wish, Kanato? That’s not-”
❏ “You once told me you wanted to live forever. I wonder if that’s still your dream these days?” The purple-haired vampire would query.
❏ “Well, of course, it is. I’d spend an eternity with you, but my family has other plans.”
❏ “Then spend an eternity with me, my love.”
❏ “But Kanato, what do you-,”
❏ “I can make all of that go away, all I need is for you to vow that you’ll love me forever.”
❏ “Forever?” The young girl questioned.
❏ “Yes, forever. It’s the only way, my love. We’re already inseparable, so why change that?” He’d say, extending a hand to caress her face, her expression slightly confused at his words.
❏ “I don’t understand.”
❏ Kanato noticed her confusion, attempting to mask the subject. “You seem so anxious, any expression you make is so tempting. I can hardly keep my hands to myself with you.”
❏ He’d place his hands on her hips, his touch roaming her body as he’d kiss her.
❏ Seeing they were in a place where anyone could just walk in, she’d say, “Kanato, please be more discreet. If your brothers saw us-,”
❏ “Shhh, my love, you worry about such silly things. Why don’t we play a game?”
❏ “What kind?”
❏ “Hmm, it’s one where I’ve been wanting to try out new things.”
❏ “New things? Like what?”
❏ He doesn’t give her an answer and begins to kiss her again. He breaks away, having his fingers trace her lips as he went back in for another kiss, it soon turning into an intense makeout.
❏ Kanato soon pushed things further by biting her lip, but enough to make it hurt as he penetrated the bottom half with his fangs. The girl began to scream as she pushed him off, her hands feeling her bleeding lip as she looked at him frightened.
❏ “What are you doing?!”
❏ “I think it should be obvious, my love? As a vampire, it’s only natural to want to taste a beautiful mortal like you.” He’d say, taking hold of her chin.
❏ “A vampire?” She shuddered, still confused.
❏ “What’s the matter, my love?” Kanato would ask, the blood trailing down one end of his lips.
❏ “You’re a monster!” She soon panicked and started to run, leaving Kanato behind.
❏ And with Kanato being creepy, he’d of course take the time to state certain lines from a favorite poem of his (“The Flea” by John Donne), one that rather much describes his feelings towards her as she runs away in terror.
❏ And the worst part is his voice echoes in her ears as she runs, making her all the more terrified.
❏ “Mark but this flea, and mark in this, / How little that which thou deniest me is; / It sucked me first, and now sucks thee, / And in this flea our two bloods mingled be; [...] Wherein could this flea guilty be, / Except in that drop which it sucked from thee? / Yet thou triumph’st, and say'st that thou / Find’st not thy self, nor me the weaker now.” He’d recite.
❏ The girl just kept running, soon finding herself in the courtyard as she stopped at a far-off fountain. She didn’t know what she could do, her mind still in a whirl at what she saw. The boy that she loved hadn’t turned out to be who she thought he was, and now, things were definitely different in terms of how she viewed him.
❏ He’d eventually find her and corner her, attempting to bite her. She told him to stop, but of course, Kanato wanted things to go his way. He’d bite into his wrist, grab hold of her and force-feed it to her.
❏ She mustered up a bit of strength and managed to push her off him, yelling, “Get away from me! You’re mad!”
❏ “Oh but, my love, that’s only part of a vampire’s charm.” He’d grin, his hands reaching for her throat as he pushed her back into the nearby pond, keeping her down in the water as he’d force her to drown in order to have her transition.
❏ She woke up hours later in the doll room and felt tired, a pang of hunger trembling within her as she hauled herself up into a sitting position.
❏ Kanato noticed she woke and approached her. “You’ve awakened, my love.” He’d caress her face, adding on, “How do you feel?”
❏ Lifting her hand to swat away his touch, her finger came into slight contact with her canine, it feeling different as she knew it was never that long to begin with.
❏ She pushed him out of her way, going toward a small nearby pool, her face peering into the reflection of the water as she further analyzed her new look.
❏ “So tell me, my love, do you like your new look?”
❏ She started screaming, instantly realizing what he had done to her, her fangs in view every time she opened her mouth, her skin deadly pale, her lifeless eyes as her skin felt cold. The shock was overtaking her, the girl almost being ready to rip her hair out.
❏ “What have you done?! I’m a monster!”
❏ Kanato’s smile soon morphed into a frown, his mind finally registering the fact that she didn’t want this. “You are so ungrateful! After everything I went through to turn you, this is how you repay me?! You have some nerve to insult me this way!”
❏ He was so overtaken by his anger that he loses all sense of rationality.
❏ “I give you a gift and you don’t take it?!”
❏ Blinded by his anger, he ends up k!lling her.
❏ Since he fancied her, he couldn’t bring himself to dispose of her. So, he figured that adding a vampire doll to his collection would only make it better.
❏ She’s probably one of the prettiest dolls he has and is probably kept in a glass coffin.
❏ He brings her flowers every day, ‘talks’ to her, tells her him and Teddy ‘miss’ her, and sometimes climbs in and sleeps beside her.
❏ And heaven forbid anyone bothers him when he’s spending time with her.
❏ Like, bitch better run.
❏ “Y’know, I think you look even more beautiful like this. Such a shame you didn’t appreciate my gift to you, we could’ve been the greatest love story to ever exist.” He’d say to her. “We’ll stay together forever, my love, just like you’ve always wanted. Our story will be told for futures to come.”
