#but I really enjoy that style of game and put in the effort to learn those systems

alright my TTRPG hot take on main is I really hate how hard it is to follow anyone in the indie design scene without inevitably having to see takes about how all crunchy d20 systems are bad and how there’s definitely an indie system that’s superior for your game (mechanically and narratively)
and I’m gonna be real. I get really annoyed and frustrated by these posts because I play a non-D&D (but non-indie) crunchy d20 system as my main game of choice. I wouldn’t chime in on an indie game recommendations post to say “play Pathfinder” because obviously Paizo isn’t a little indie shop (which is why I’m making my own post lmao). And Pathfinder obviously has issues all over the place. But I’ve rarely, if ever, seen indie games touching the design space that I genuinely really enjoy, which is mostly covered by Long-standing Big Label Non-5e Games, which is crunchy rules for tactical combat.
Like idk. If I’m playing a game that isn’t heavily combat focused, I’m gonna go for an indie game rather than shoehorning a crunchy system because I love indie games and design. But indie games don’t really deal with that particular design niche of crunchy, tactical games much (or in the very few examples I’ve found and played, they have lots of weird balance issues of their own and tend to require a TON of work on the part of the GM because they lack the depth of content of Big Label systems).
TL;DR wish I could have a nice time seeing indie design posts without regularly seeing people essentially lambast something I very much enjoy in the games I play

Aaron likes FF.
He’s a good friend to have and he’s been doing Aaron a huge favor this semester by tutoring Katelyn in German. He’d tried to tutor her but his teaching style and her learning had not been very compatible and it had been leading to some fighting between the two of them. Nicky had been the one to suggest that FF was a pretty good teacher and he wouldn’t take any sort of advantage of the inherent romantic setting of being a tutor (whatever the hell that meant).
FF was a good tutor.
Aaron liked to hang out while Katelyn and FF had their tutoring sessions and FF’s gaze never strayed down from Katelyn’s face when he was talking to her. He gave her German children’s books that he himself had used to better understand the written language and Aaron quite enjoyed the nights he spent over at Katelyns where she’d clumsily make her way through them as they were winding down for bed.
There were other things to like about FF.
He liked how FF could disagree with him without fighting with him. He liked how FF had the confidence to just leave any situation he didn’t like. He liked how FF sang to himself when he was distracted (he had a pretty good voice). He liked how FF could watch horror movies without blinking. He liked how he could sit in easy silence with FF and the two of them could just do their own thing. He liked how bad FF was at video games.
He liked how FF never confused Aaron for Andrew no matter what they were wearing or if they were aiming to confuse people. FF never said how he managed it when even Matt and Nicky got them confused every once in a while but FF never failed to know which twin he was talking to. He also played along when they were going about messing with the other non-FF freshmen by vacating the area instead of alerting anyone to them having switched.
(Aaron is completely unaware of an entirely uncomfortable talk that Nicky has had with FF where he asked FF how he could tell Andrew and Aaron apart. The answer was that initially Aaron always had a very tiny pen mark on his ear somewhere because he had a habit of putting his pen behind his ear. The answer in the long run was that they stood slightly differently and Andrew had a wrinkle that Aaron didn’t. Nicky had asked why FF was looking so closely at his cousins, “Well, I thought that Andrew might swap with Aaron at some point to lure me into a false sense of security and then he’d kill me.” FF answers unaware of why Nicky went still, “I realize now that Andrew isn’t like that.” FF had rushed to assure.
“Yeah…” Nicky had said awkwardly.
“Really, I honestly don’t think Andrew would pretend to be Aaron to kill someone.” FF had said again.)
The thing Aaron probably liked the most though was how happy his cousin was to have someone who was ‘his’ person. Andrew had Kevin and Neil, Aaron had Katelyn, and now Nicky had FF. They were hardly separate from the other Foxes nowadays and they roomed with Matt but there was always a difference for their group between ‘family’ and ‘friend’. FF was someone that Nicky had claimed as family and they had all agreed.
Aaron also enjoyed watching how Andrew and Neil both couldn’t fully comprehend how FF had ended up as Nicky’s when they had both made quite a few efforts. Nicky had always just shrugged and said that they’d understand when they were older before heading off to go see FF at Abby’s house as if the rest of them weren’t following right behind him.
FF was healing nicely and would be moving back into the dorms in the next week or so but he still spent a fair bit of time in Aaron’s room. He had heard Nicky talking to Wymack about possibly having him moved into their room which Aaron wouldn’t mind even if it mean that he’d have to do the ‘Smith Shout’ more frequently.
The ‘Smith Shout’ entails walking into rooms that you thought were empty but theoretically they could also contain FF. If you didn’t mind a minor heart attack later then you didn’t need to complete the ‘Smith Shout’ but if you were perhaps…interested in making out with your beautiful girlfriend?
The ‘Smith Shout’ was a must, they were all trying to get better about the levels of hanky and panky that FF was subjected to just because they failed to realize he was right there.
FF never made a big deal about it but it always felt embarrassing when they heard the click of the door as FF left the room they were making out in.
There was no need for the ‘Smith Shout’ today as FF was helping Katelyn with some basic vocabulary and going over conversations and pronunciation with her. Aaron was sitting nearby going over some micro-biology homework when they heard a door slam open down the hall, pounding foot steps, and then their door slammed open to reveal a pale-faced Kevin
“Kevin, what-“
Kevin shushed Aaron before he could ask what was wrong and came into the room and shut the door with shaking hands. His phone was held in his right hand so tightly that his knuckles were white from the strain.
“Lord Moriyama just called me.” Kevin said shaking badly enough that Aaron wondered if he should guide the Striker over to their couch so that he could sit. “He…he let me know that he’s dropped the percentage I owe him to 65%” Kevin’s gaze slid to FF who was sat at the desks with Katelyn still. “He…he said to give you his…regards?” He says.
Aaron’s own gaze whips to FF.
“Ok.” FF says with an awkward shrug.
Aaron almost laughs at the lack of response but he holds it in unsure of how Kevin would take it.
“Kevin, it’s a good thing right?” Aaron says instead.
Kevin looks at him and nods frantically, “Yes. It’s a good thing.” He agrees. “35% makes things so much…so much easier.” Kevin says his shoulders sagging and it always bothers Aaron when he thinks about the deal that Kevin and Neil live under. He knows that Andrew has only been even listening to offers over a certain amount since he plans on helping Neil.
“I’m glad.” FF offers before turning back to Katelyn, “Ok, have you finished reading that book I gave you last week?” He asks apparently more interested in tutoring than in what Lord Moriyama had to say to Kevin.
“Oh, yes!” Katelyn agrees.
Kevin looks at them and Aaron has known Kevin long enough to recognize when he’s thinking about something. He even knows him well enough to sense when he’s thinking about something irritating.
Kevin leaves the room though so Aaron figures that it will be someone else’s problem.
He is, unfortunately, incorrect.
45 minutes later Kevin bursts into the room again and grabs Aaron, “I need your help with something.” He says, hands cold around Aaron’s wrist, and before Aaron can complain he is being dragged out of his room and into the room his brother shares with Neil and Kevin.
“Kevin, what the hell?” Aaron complains finally managing to pull himself out of Kevin’s grasp.
“I’m going to take control of Smith’s recovery.” Kevin says as if that was a normal thing to say, “Lord Moriyama wished him a speedy recovery and…and I owe him.” Kevin admits.
“You don’t need to take control of Smith’s recovery to thank him. You could just thank him?” Aaron points out the obvious answer but as per usual very few members of the Foxes were amiable to hearing the simple solutions that Aaron offered.
“No this is better. He’ll appreciate it more than just a simple thank you.” Kevin dismissed, “Now, do you think I should start with basic protein or more vitamin based smoothies for his recovery?” Kevin asks and only now does Aaron see the grocery bags of fruits, vegetables, and various other things littering the kitchen.
Why the fuck was everyone on this team so damn weird?
It was 20 minutes of Aaron trying to wrangle Kevin away from the weirdest combinations. The only thing that made him feel better was the knowledge that Josten was going to see all of these veggies and probably hiss like a vampire as he backed away from the fridge.
Still, 20 soul crushing minutes and they had a green beverage sitting in the blender that Josten had bought the room his sophomore year for Kevin. “I’ll be asking you and Katelyn for assistance on this project.” Kevin says.
“No thanks.” Aaron says exhausted from the last 20 minutes.
“Then I’ll just do it alone.” Kevin says and Aaron thinks about the various things that Kevin had wanted to put into the smoothie, thinks of FF tutoring Katelyn without asking for anything, and how FF had lied to protect Aaron’s brother even from federal agents when he had nothing to do with the mess of two years ago.
Fuck.
“Fine, I’ll help.” He grits out because he couldn’t leave FF to the nutritional whims of Kevin Day. He already feels bad enough about the drink that FF is about to be subjected to but he can at least stop Kevin from crushing actual multi-vitamins into the drinks and claiming it would make for good ‘texture’.
They come back to the room and Aaron hears Katelyn and FF talking about a new smoothie place that might be good for FF to try, “…have a peanut butter and banana one that would probably be easy on your stomach.” He hears her say unaware of the monstrosity Aaron has just had a hand in creating.
“No need for that.” Kevin says confidence unshaken and undeserved as puts a glass of green juice down in front of FF. “Drink that.” He says.
Aaron is immediately filled with a desperate desire to both apologize and slap the glass out of Kevin’s hand. Inevitable stained carpet be damned.
“Sure.” FF says as he takes hold of the glass.
It feels as Aaron watches it happen in slow motion. He sees Katelyn’s own revolted face and wishes he could tell her that this really was the best he could do in terms of saving FF. FF, unaware of Aaron’s inner turmoil, takes a sip of the green beverage full of Kale, spinach, sprouts, protein powder (plain), and some crazy Chinese health supplement that Kevin swore by but smelled vaguely alcoholic despite Kevin’s INSISTENCE that it was not.
“I know alcohol, this isn’t alcohol.” Kevin had said and honestly it was hard to argue with that logic.
FF brought it to his lips and drank it.
Aaron felt like he should have gotten a garbage bin ready but instead he watches on in horrified awe as FF drains the entire nightmarish glass.
“Cauliflower?” FF asks as he wipes the remnants of the smoothie off of his upper lip.
Aaron’s head whipped towards Kevin who was smiling as he accepted the glass back from Smith, “I’m surprised you would notice.” He says visibly pleased even as Aaron bristles.
“How the fuck did you put cauliflower in there, I was watching you.” He hisses.
“Katelyn texted you, I put it in then.” Kevin shrugs.
Aaron regrets nothing.
***
Kevin continued to hand FF bizarre healthy combinations of fruits, vegetables, and god knows what. Aaron and Katelyn did their best to keep Kevin from going too wild with his purchases but Kevin on a mission was a difficult thing to stop.
It didn’t help that FF accepted any and everything that Kevin handed to him without a single flinch. As far as Aaron knew FF didn’t even know that Kevin had decided to take control of his recovery and diet for the foreseeable future.
He had been making a run to buy Katelyn some tampons when he found FF in the stomach pain aisle looking between a two-pack or an extra large bottle of Pepto Bismol. “Smiths, if Kevin’s god awful smoothies are hurting your stomach you can just tell him.” Aaron says as he drags FF out of the aisle knowing that Pepto Bismol would not be good. “You can’t take anything with aspirin. Nicky had me read your care instructions to him in plain English I know.” He says.
FF didn’t say anything as he let himself be dragged to the register where the girl there seemed surprise that FF wasn’t buying anything. “Nothing for you?” She asks looking at FF.
FF nodded, “Nothing for me.” He agrees.
“I’m glad! You deserve it!” She says smiling as if she hadn’t just said something that felt wildly rude to say to a customer.
Aaron grabbed FF by the arm, scowled at the cashier, and dragged him out.
“They don’t hurt my stomach. I ended up there more on auto-pilot than anything.” FF says and Aaron remembers the conversation they had been having in the stomach relief section. “I think what I had yesterday was a bit too much.” He admits and Aaron rolls his eyes but doesn’t say anything else.
Kevin’s nagging about their health had gotten a combination of better and worse since FF had started accepting the smoothies without comment.
Better because now Kevin had someone who he could unleash his full overbearing nature on and who didn’t seem to even care or notice just doing as Kevin ordered. Worse because now Kevin had a taste of what it was like for one of them to follow his orders.
This building irritation had lead to Josten and Andrew grabbing FF before he could be ambushed by Kevin for his usual lunch smoothie and drag him off to an off campus Deli that they both liked. Josten had probably wanted to feel just a little bit superior to the multi-lingual Freshman since it was a Russian Deli where the owner only really got what you ordered if you did it in Russian. It had happened on the day where at morning practice Kevin had implied that FF would be a better protege since he listened while Neil continued to refuse vegetables.
He could just imagine Josten offering to order for FF.
What an asshole.
He remembers coming into the room the day previous and finding them dumping the contents of a styrofoam bowl into the blender. “What is that?” Aaron had asked.
“Borscht.” Josten answered.
“Why are you putting it in a blender?” Aaron asks knowing that Josten didn’t have an ounce of social awareness.
“So Smith can eat it?” Josten said back to him slowly as if Aaron was the idiot between the two of them.
“Does Kevin know?” Aaron had asked
“Kevin can’t bitch, there’s plenty of vegetables in there.” Josten said with absolute certainty.
Kevin can, in fact, bitch.
“Andrew ordered the borscht for me.” FF says as they continue towards the dorms interrupting Aaron from his memory. “It was good, it was just too much. Like what Kevin said yesterday.” He adds.
Aaron can’t believe Josten is so opposed to ordering vegetables that he made Andrew order FF’s food for him.
What an asshole.
***
“A leash. I will find the largest child leash I can get and I will put it on you. Smithy, what the fuck.” Nicky bitches as they made their way out into the crisp December air. “I can’t believe you fell asleep and we almost left you again.” Nicky adds. “My sweet baby boy,
Aaron thinks his cousin is being over dramatic.
FF could walk back from the Fox stadium to the tower on his own just fine. He was a big boy no matter how many times Nicky claimed him to be his ‘sweet little baby boy’.
“I’m not your baby. Don’t call me that.” FF grumbles through his yawn sounding very much like a cranky little baby.
“Maybe stay awake through the game and I’ll consider it.” Nicky teases.
“The game was boring enough to play let alone just having to sit and watch.” Kevin says and it was only because Kevin had his ‘post-game’ smoothie for FF to drink that they realized he wasn’t there before they left the stadium. “We can hardly blame Smiths for falling asleep.” Kevin shrugs elated by the win but disappointed in the competition. “Drink your smoothie Smiths.” He says and FF went back to sipping at the unknown concoction, “The tart cherries and avocado should help you go to sleep when we get back to Abby's.” He says as if that combination was a natural one.
“Tart Cherries and Avocado?” Josten asks in obvious disgust.
“They’re-“
“Hey, Granny Boy!” Came a shout that interrupted Kevin’s explanation.
Usually, anything that interrupted Kevin from some going on another lecture was a good thing but Aaron, bringing up the rear, can see how FF’s posture went from relaxed to painfully alert in a matter of seconds.
“Daniel.” FF returns.

Ahh just two things, I love your blog so much :)! I’d love to see what you think the bachelor's parenting styles would be like? And also you’ve been spelling Elliott's name wrong D:
Oh god I keep forgetting the second t in his name don’t I 😂😅 entirely my bad I gotta get better at checking my spelling lol I kept having to go back and respell Haley’s name for a bit too 😂 I’ll go fix that lmao, also thank you!! I enjoy writing these little blurbs and stuff, and interacting with y’all! Also reading tags y’all leave on reblogs gives me so much joy cause some are so funny, most of it’s written at like five am cause sleep evades me lol
Alright! Parenting styles!
Elliott: he strikes me as a very gentle parent, he doesn’t like to give timeouts unless absolutely necessary since he always feels bad, especially if your kids only a toddler still since Theyer only learning right from wrong and it’s all brand new, he would love to read with your kid and colour pictures with them, he definitely loves doing bedtime with them because thats when the most stories are read! Also loves taking them to the beach to play in the sand or swim for a bit
Harvey: I don’t think he really knows what he’s doing to well, honestly it’s all a learning curve for him but with doing comes learning and he sure can learn, he’ll make healthy meals and a large variety of snacks for your kids and always takes them on walks, he’s the best when it comes to little ouchies and booboos like scraped knees or paper cuts, always has colorful little bandaids on hand for them! Cute little junimo themed ones and woodland creatures, will panic if they break a bone or something serious though, kids can be quite clumsy
Sam: he’s definitely a cool dad, he’s teaching your kids to skateboard and play guitar, feeding them pizza and joja cola. You have to inform him they can’t live off of those things and teach him how to make healthy foods and snacks for the kids but he picks up on it pretty easy, will probably call his mom for advice more then once but she’s always happy to help
Sebastian: he’s not entirely clueless in the baby department since he was around when maru was a baby, he likes to play games with them, teaches them how to play video games when They’re older so he can have a player two, also gets them into solarian chronicles, he’s the ultimate cool dad, will buy your kid a sword (probably a few honestly, it’s a collection they have together now) won’t however let your kids in the mines because he’s heard your stories of what’s down there and he doesn’t want them to get hurt
Shane: he’s been around jas a lot, he’s definitely applying whatever skills he’s gained from that to his own kid, loves to get them new toys. They have a whole Lego chicken coop complete with Lego chickens that they put together as a bonding activity. He does not know how to cook very many things but he will try, he doesn’t want to be seen as useless so he’s definitely putting in the effort! He asks you to teach him how to cook and how to put together cute snack plates (he definitely has those little shape cutouts for veggies so he can make little cucumber flowers and carrot bunny’s for your kids).
Alex: definitely an active parent, literally. Loves taking the kids on jogs and walks through town, will 100% use your toddler as a weight while he’s doing squats, just holds them on his shoulders the whole time, they think it’s hilarious and he gets in a workout, it’s a win win. If your kid wants to help him make breakfast he’s thrilled, tells them all about the nutrition and how it helps with the farm work and keeps your muscles fed and happy, of course he doesn’t deny the kid of sweets either, it’s all about balance,

Bachelorettes as parents!
Finally got the part 2 to this.
Let’s start with-
Abigail
I think Abby as a mom would be an over correction for her own parents. Like too freeing. She seemed to feel controlled in her household so she may be afraid to control her own kid and that kid may lack some motherly guidance until the farmer steps in and gives Abby the confidence to guide the child. On the bright side, that child will definitely get to experiment with style and identity without feeling unsafe or stifled. Also Abby would probably attempt to help her kid with homework only to be stumped to because the wording was weird or because she was never good at the subject.
Leah
Leah… lowkey, I have no idea. She just doesn’t seem like the mom type. If I were to make a guess, with her and the farmer having pretty unconventional jobs, the child will at least feel confident that they can choose any way of living and with enough effort, it would work out. Sorry this one is short, I genuinely think Leah and the Farmer would be more like a childless couple. The farm animals and their cat/dog are their children.
Haley
At the beginning of her arc, she was giving entitled mom, but with her learning to be more caring and understanding, I feel like as a mom she would be more like a neo entitled parent, like she seems entitled but she’s actually really nice and reasonable. Also with her being a photographer, she has a full album of photos with her spouse and child throughout the years. Probably calls up her own mom or the moms of the town for advice when she doesn’t know what to do with her kid. If her kid is sporty, you bet she’s going to every single game, even if it’s just the little practices in the yard. Maybe with enough bugging, the kid could get her to participate in the practice too.
Maru
Let’s start with her flaw, she has way too high of expectations for herself, the farmer and probably their kid. As a parent, she would have to learn to put those expectations down for her child’s sake. And while she loves her dad, at this point she would probably be aware of his favoritism in order to not repeat it with her own kids. In fact, she would probably be the type to lay down the law and force Seb and Demetrius to get their act together if they want to spend time with her kid. There will be no familial fighting around the child, they must get along. That’s Maru’s biggest asset, once made aware of an issue, she’ll solve it and this goes double for her child.
Emily
The hippie mom, it is written in stone for that one. She is the funky hippie mom that embarrasses her kid for shits and giggles. Very overly affectionate and fun loving. Another parents that just wants her kid to enjoy childhood. Will that child be very embarrassed by their mom? Yes. Will that child also have oddly effective life skills and emotional stability that other children their age will never have? Absolutely. Like Abigail, that child will get to freely experiment with things that other parents would be more restrictive on.
And last but certainly not least with parenting
Penny
Now canonically you can only have 2 kids with each spouse but we don’t need to worry about that because I killed canon behind a Denny’s. Anyways, big family. There is no only child with Penny. She would be the one to have like a LOT of children and be stressed out of her mind and then ask the farmer “So when are we going to have another?” However raising children is harder than just teaching them so she would have a few struggles thanks to her own messy home life. Pam would be another case of “Get your act together before you can see my children”. Also NO alcohol in the house. None. It might actually get a little controlling how much Penny won’t allow drinking. But it has a good reason.

(i'm so sorry, i'm not sure if you accept reviews or not so feel free to ignore this)
Helloo!! I'm brazilian and i'm still learning english so forgive me for any grammar mistakes. I've gotten all endings (i guess- please let me know if i missed anything!) so here's my review of Perfect Love! ♥
I loved this game sooo much! I never played an visual novel with a mean main character and it was just amazing. The trope of ''us'' being the actual villains is very interesting and it made the game super unique! It's also pretty obvious the amount of effort and hard work that's in the game, I was impressed by the quality of it all.
The music and sound effects are pretty good, I loved it all! The artstyle is very pleasing to look at and the black/white/grey contrast with Milo's blue/red eyes are such a nice touch too. I also loved the amount of easter eggs (you couldn't imagine the face I made when I named myself 'Ren') and secret endings/scenes.
Fortunately, when I first played, I knew nothing about the game nor about Milo (which I believe made the experience better since everything turned out to be surprising) and the endings were really good. Through the gameplay, I've encontered one grammar mistake (which I forgot to screenshot it, sorry) and one sprite glitch but nothing that made me annoyed.
After finishing the 8 main endings, I decided it was time to look a little bit on the official Tumblr's page of the VN and that's when I decided to test out all of the easter eggs and that's when I discovered the secret scenes.
So, to summary it all: absolutely 10/10! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun playing a game and being so invested in unlocking all of it's content! I was flabbergasted when I lost all of my endings heh
Please let me know if I missed anything- I'd be more than happy to clear the game entirely.
Tumblr media
Hello there! I love reviews. On my other blog I always write recommendations/reviews for other vns, so I'm always open to seeing what people like and dislike about the game. I hope you don't mind that I'm just gonna mash these two asks into one ask.
Thank you! I also think that a lot of vns don't always focus on being the bad guy in the story and those that do I usually enjoy quite a lot! I'm glad you like the quality of it, it was a lot of fighting renpy and it's UI because I have a one sided rivalry with the base renpy UI. I tried to make it look good though I think I maybe should have attempted to redraw some of the sprites for Milo (for like the third time).
For the art style itself, I actually did it in black and white because it was originally for the 2023 yanjam and I wanted to make a style that wouldn't be extremely tiring for me, and I really like lineart so I made everything in black and white (and also because I'm lazy, I say as I animate half of my assets). The red and blue really make it pop at the end since it's one of the few time color is used in the game. I love when people put easter eggs in their game and I know of a lot of yandere vns so I wanted to put in a ton! I'll probably put in even more in the update when I get all of the extra stories done because putting easter eggs like that is very fun.
Having no knowledge of a game is always a good way to be surprised about the premise and I think it definitely was something good in your case too! For the grammer/ sprite errors if you do ever play or remember what they were, please let me know. I'll try to fix it in the next update if possible.
It's always so nice seeing that people like my game though! I tried my hardest to make it a worthwhile experience and considering it's (technically) my first game, it really makes me happy to see that people really like it! Hopefully it doesn't have too much of the first game amatureness that tends to come (nothing wrong with it, but I hopefully have showcased I kind of know what I'm doing, I say, sweating profusely) .
Yup! That is all of the scenes in the game so far. At least that you can access. If you look inside of the code, I actually have two scenes that I put in there. One of them is pretty much a test scene featuring the character from the next game I'm making, and the other is a special scene where you go to Milo's apartment. You can't access those in the main game, but you can play them if you edit the code a bit.
Basically (for those who don't know), all you have to do is put "jump" and then the name of the label afterwards (so for instance if the label is "rabbit" you would put "jump rabbit") after label start in the code. The two scenes that are not accessable in the game are the last two scenes in the script.rpy file just to make it easier for you. (I put a note that says like "#I'm very dedicated to my craft I say as I disect Milo and then beat him with a stick" because I'm sorry Milo, you deserve better)
But yes, thank you for taking your time and writing your long review! I love it so much.

Hello!
How are you doing?
Can I request a matchup for Haikyuu!, Tokyo Revengers and JJK, please? (Male characters)
I'm an introvert and I prefer staying in my room to draw and listen to music. My hobbies are mostly in the domain of arts and crafts! I'd like to do something related to arts in the future. I'm good at analyzing texts and I enjoy writing. I also like doing improvisation because it requires quick thinking. Other than that I love rhythm games! I also pick up languages pretty quick.
I'm tall but I like wearing heels! Sometimes I have anxiety problems but overall I am confident in my abilities and looks. Not in an arrogant type of way, more like ''not taking unwanted opinions'' about my style or the art I make. Because of that I also like to encourage people around me to follow their own way of life (as long as it doesn't harm anyone!). I dislike when somebody is bossy and dictates how somebody else should live their life, it really doesn't affect the outsider that comments. I believe that unique styles are what makes the world prettier.
I have a short temper but I prefer ''forgiving and forgetting'' solely because:
I am too tired to argue, it takes too much effort to talk
I would rather not allow myself to yell because I really dislike that
I am sensitive to loud sounds and I might get a panic attack mid argument and that would be VERY embarrassing for me. I'd think about it for years.
I'm absolutely bad with expressing my emotions so I show love through giving gifts or writing what I feel. I get shy mid-sentence when I try telling someone I care for them, even if they are my family.
I like to learn! Trying out new things or food is very cool to me and recently I got into drawing whatever I can't draw so I can improve, I like challenges. I tend to push myself to test my limits. I also eat a lot. Which is bad.
I love seeing sunrises/sunsets, snow, flowers in bloom and I adore when it rains! Walking during rain helps me relax. I also like shiny things and all animals!
I am so sorry that it turned out this long!
I hope you'll have a great day 😊🧡
A/n: Hello, thank you so much for being patient. I hope you enjoy and have a great day. And as always remember to hydrate or diedrate
Haikyuu: Kenma Kozume
Dating Kenma is relaxing
Date nights can be going out to eat or just relaxing together with music playing while you draw and he games
He loves that you encourage him to do what he wants and don’t pressure him to put down his video games
He may be on the short side but he doesn't care if you want to go around in high heels, he thinks you’re beautiful no matter what
Kenma also isn’t a big fan of fights or loud noises so if you guys do get in a disagreement it’s going to be a day or two of silent treatment and then cuddles
He will also try out rhythm games for you so you guys have another thing to do together
All around just a chill time with the beautiful gamer
Tokyo Revengers: Takashi Mitsuya
Takashi is supportive in what ever you want to do
Loves that you are confident and don’t focus on what others think of you
Enjoys having dates that are just the two of you being creative and enjoying each other’s presence
He definitely already plays rhythm games so if you want to do that with him, he’s more than happy to make it a date
Taka understands that even with your short temper you prefer to just move on, so in disagreements he tries to just talk it out and if it looks like talking isn’t working will suggest taking a step back
He doesn't like to leave things unresolved so if something he did upset you just let him know and he will work on it
Now if you get upset with a member of Toman, he will deal with them for you. Just tell him who and he will pull them away and have a chat, tries to keep it on the down low so it doesn’t cause a seen
He’s all about respect, so he will do whatever he can to make sure you feel respected and welcome

hey there stranger.
i realise i am probably too late for the game, and you're probably inactive, but i pray this message reaches you in good health and best intention. i have been following your writings, and i wish to tell you how much i appreciate your work. i admire your writing style, it is ebbing with your passion and love for the anime, and every chapter shatters my soul and weakens my wrists. it takes great talent to dedicate so much research, time, and effort to write an post-canon fix it in such beautiful shape and form and i wish you knew how much your writing has inspired me.
i love dororo, in ways you can imagine. it saved my life, and it's undoubtedly the best anime i have ever watched, not only with it's heavy symbolism and top-tier storywriting, but also the characters and fights have been orchestrated so splendidly. i decided to write a fanfiction myself, but hesitated to press a single letter because i was afriad i might ruin in a perfectly good show. it's already perfect as it is, i would think. and in all my time i haven't seen someone articulate and describe each characters' stories, agony, anguish, and depth as much as you do. not to mention your art work in beyond astonishing. believe me when i dropped my jaw seeing your work. i want to learn a lot from you.
remember when munetsuna wished that he was to craft a katana so powerful that it would stop wars? that people would be so astonished by the sword, then would surrender? you are that sword. you have such great potential in you, and pardon my poor phrasing, as i am a novice writer and a mere admirer, i wish to learn a lot from you. im not exaggerating at all when i say that your works bring me to my knees. i am in love. truly. i apologize in advance, but i cried after i read the first chapter. it moved me that much.
if you were to write a book, please let me be one of the first few readers. i will support you with everything i got. i don't say this to pressure you, i simply wish you know how grateful i am to have found your work.
there are no questions.
thank you so much. thank you.
Wow. I'm speechless. You know, this is probably one of the best and warmest feelings in the world—no, not to receive a compliment, and not to feel proud and pleased with myself (vanity never does you any good and I try not to get carried away), but to meet a soul resonating with mine—at least in one way, at this moment—to be able to feel so deeply everything I've put into this story and enjoy it. A perfectionist that I am, I always wanted to create something that everybody would like, until I realized that popularity is nothing, just numbers. But to reach even one person's heart is what truly matters to me. Meeting that person is like meeting a friend, such crossing of the paths is always a miracle of sorts. So let me give you at least a virtual hug! 🤗
I'm sorry for the late reply, I don't check my tumblr often lately as you can see, not because I've moved on or lost interest though. I hope I never really move on from Dororo, at least not until this fic is finished. And even then Dororo will remain a huge part of me. But yeah, I switch a lot between things (not fandoms though—enough is enough 😅), various things I write. I really hope to finish at least one of them and publish a book one day, and if it happens, I'll gladly send you one of the first copies! Haha although it may not happen before we all turn very old, I'm afraid, since as you can see I am a veeery sloooow writer. Also, it will be in my native language 😅 (writing in English was an experiment at first, a challenge to myself, and I admit there will be times when I regret putting myself through this lol)
May I ask you something, too? Please, don't hesitate to press letters, write! Just start and let your worlds take shape, let them be born. I was inspired a lot by the authors I admired, many of them are ficwriters, I've taken a lot from them. I'm happy if it's now my turn to pass some of that inspiration further. Really, really happy. 💖

Do you have motivational tips? I always lose motivation to continue writing after a while but I'm also scared of sharing works that aren't finished because while commets would probably the best motivator, they also started to scare me, even if that sounds dramatic. The thought of people "expecting" more kind of stresses me out because I get scared that they will lose interest if I don't work fast enough and that blocks me from working at all, I had this happen before a couple of times and eventually just stopped posting works in progess. That worked best for me but it's also less fun and I struggle to motivate me now: I've only recently gotten back into wanting to write fanfiction (for F1) and it doesn't work and seeing you suddenly work on your big project again makes me want to know your secrets, even though I know that they might not even apply to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️❤️
hi love! sending you a biiig big hug <3<3
you're doing amazing, first of all, for simply wanting to make stuff. and acknowledging the fear and anxiety that comes with it. that's very brave of you and very strong. and to ask for help! i'm already very proud of you.
and i get you. i have experienced quite a lot of pressure and writing-fright with all the comments i've gotten for Racing Heartbeats too. and, due to so much time passing, i just felt like i could write the whole series better than i already had. but that's part of it too, the progress! i think people can quite well read the difference in my writing style if you were to compare work 1 to work, idk, 10? 20? i read a post by ao3commentoftheday on it a few days ago and what i remember was this: it doesn't matter that the writing style changes over course, the readers change with you, see you evolve, and really don't mind that. it stuck with me.
then another thing that helped, for me, was working on other projects. the constant affirmation to myself that, despite not being able to work on RH, i can still write. i still enjoy writing. whether it's a short brainworm like lover, lead me astray or a longer thing like my nanowrimo project keep me under the charm. i could isolate my block to only RH and focus on other stuff. and when i felt ready, i could go back to RH with ease.
i recommend picking up something super small first. a pwp, just getting them from point a to b with no stops along the way, a nice ficlet (<1k) or short story (<5k) to get your knuckles warmed up for something bigger. maybe even a non-fanfic writing exercise can help! i've once written a story about chess pieces getting picked up by human hands, not knowing what's going on or even that they were pawns in a bigger game. something very random. with a fifteen minute timer and just no pressure, no goal, no worries. just whatever words come to mind. it's quite a creepy thingie and i still think fondly about it.
besides that, specifically talking about the comments: it's not dramatic to see it as frightening. it very well is. you're putting your work, something you put time, effort, your heart, into just out for the world to see. that is scary. just bc it's through pixels and not on a big irl stage where you can see the faces looking at you, the faces are still there. so it's completely normal and not at all dramatic to find that scary. i had that struggle too, with people commenting 'when will you update' 'where's the next chapter' etc. go away!!!!!! it's so well-intended but it has the opposite effect. and what helped for me is standing up for myself, being kind to myself. i can only write and post when i'm ready, when i want to, because in the end the only person i'm doing this all for is me. it's not the nicest thing, sometimes. and i'm certain i've lost readers bc of it, but that's fine, because it did help me.
what also helps in that regard, and something i've painfully come to learn with RH, is only posting when you're done with the entire work. but that comes with the added struggle of rarely ever being able to share your stuff with other people bc you don't want to spoil your whole work before anyone had a chance to glance at it.
what always helps for me, and something i had the luxury of getting used to and then the pain of losing it only to then get it again and realise how much i need it, is a cheerleader. one person, or more, who does read what you write. who brainstorms with you. who checks what you're up to, who helps you out every step of the way. the official fandom term for this is an alpha reader, though i often see people referring to them as a beta reader too. the links go more in depth about the roles but the most important difference for me is this: a beta reader is someone you ask to check your work right before posting. checking spag, mostly. an alpha reader/cheerleader is someone you go to before you start writing. they help brainstorm the idea, characterisation, plotholes, etc. having a cheerleader really helps me so so much to stay awake and focused on a project. and you can do that thing you so desperately want to: share! you can share your work with someone! and someone who doesn't expect you to write anything and someone who helps you too!
i guess my biggest secret is that i rn have @vmyosotis as my beloved cheerleader helping me with literally every single one of my brainworms (she's collecting my wip documents like a gremlin hoards shiny stones), @pinkjamblesss to generally get excited about 4433, to brainstorm new ideas together and just go feral about these nerds, and @strawcars about some angsty whump ideas that are out of my comfort zone, but still the brainstorming gets me excited and consider things for my own work as well. i think i'm more of a cheerleader to cherry than she's to me. maybe one day if i'll venture into hurt/no comfort.
so yeah. get your people around you - through the tumblr tags, ao3, other social media, discord, etc. - to get excited with you about your ideas. hell, i'd love to be a cheerleader for you! i love helping people get to more ideas and working out the kinks in a story to create something new! i love seeing people with creative ideas i'd never think of! and i hope to see you in the F1 tag, when you're ready for it.
much love and i wish every bit of motivation in the world onto you <3 xoxo!

South Park Headcanons: Pip & Damien Edition!
Pip
-He didn’t know there was more than one type of tea before he was sent to London, where Pocket introduced him to the variations for throughout the day (like a strong black tea in the morning, and chamomile in the evening). He was very excited about this.
-One of his biggest fears is thunderstorms. He doesn’t mind rain on its own, he quite enjoys it, but the rumbling and flashing of thunder and lightning makes him jumpy. If he’s alone and the storm continues on, he will eventually start to cry. His fear worsens as the storm worsens.
-When he was living back in England (before he became a gentleman or met Estella), he caught scarlet fever. He survived by the skin of his teeth. This has left him with some prolonged respiratory issues, but they’re not too bad, since he was around 7 years old when he got sick.
-He has various burn scars from when Damien blew him up. He also has a bite mark scar on his arm from when he was turned into a zombie (s1ep7). He’s also got a few from when he cracked his head open (namely, the Unaired Pilot).
-Although the other 4th graders don’t really appreciate his efforts, he has stayed apart of the school’s dodgeball team out of pure enjoyment. The kids don’t make fun of him as much during the games, as they don’t want to be on the receiving end of his surprisingly strong throwing ability.
-He still practices archery when he can with a bow he found behind Jimbo’s Guns, but fencing is a bit harder to do, since finding a proper sword to do so is a bit difficult to find in a place like South Park.
-He’s not very prideful, but always keeps his hair well groomed, taking special care to wash, brush, and style it to his liking. The other boys make fun of him for it, saying it makes him look like a girl, but he lets their comments slide, if only for his hair.
-His newsboy cap was a late gift from his mother. He received it after she and her husband had already passed on. This is his most prized possession, and he would be devastated if anything happened to it.
-When he died, Butters was the only one to show up to his funeral and burial service and is one of the only recurring visitors to his gravesite.
-As he ages in Hell, his final height reaches 6’6”. He’s slim and lanky, but still moves with a gracefulness that he pays no mind to. His hair reaches the middle of his back, and he sometimes ties it into a loose ponytail that sits between his shoulder blades.
Damien
-His nails grow in naturally black and sharp like his father’s.
-He puts up a tough front, but he’s actually quite sensitive, which is why it’s difficult for him to make friends. Very few have seen this vulnerable side, Pip being one of them.
-During the plot of the movie, his relationship with his father was very strained, since Satan chose to spend more time with Saddam than his own son. This rift caused Damien to resent his father for a long time, but their relationship is on the mend after Saddam was killed (again).
-Damien pretends he hates when Kenny shows up in Hell but is actually relieved and excited that he has someone his own age to play with (and someone to pay attention to him) for a while before Kenny revives.
-He fucking hates Saddam. And Chris. Not as much with Chris, but he still does, as his father goes right back to ignoring his existence.
-His favorite music includes a mix of Sammy Hagar, ICP, Stormtroopers of Death, and Metallica. He secretly listens to Frank Sinatra after Pip introduced him to it.
-When he was younger and his powers were just awakening, his favorite thing to do as a toddler was to set anything and everything on fire. As he gets a bit older, he claims he just likes to set things ablaze, but this is just a cover for him not fully understanding how to use his powers still. For example, he could point at something with the intent to flip it, but will set it on fire instead, and claim “that’s what I meant to do the whole time!”.
-Damien’s learned to be more compassionate with the help of Kenny and (more so) Pip, but it still takes a long time, considering the way and the place he was raised.
-Out of the hundreds of sentry dogs his father has as apart of his army of evil, Damien’s favorite is a young three-headed hellhound named Luci, who he sneaks out to see at night, even though no one’s supposed to interact with the dogs to keep them war-ready. His heart melts for the dog, and she’s able to bring a smile to his face on even the hardest of days.
-He doesn’t do much when it comes to styling his hair, but he does what he can to keep his sideburns looking good, as they make him look more “badass”, as he claims.
-When he becomes an adult, he stands at 9’1”, and is built like his father, just without the goat legs and red skin. He has a full beard and black horns that grow straight upwards and is able to summon a pair of bat-like wings and a spear-tipped tail on command.
-He can speak fluent Latin, but no one knows it.
Dip
-As children, Pip teaches Damien how to ballroom dance (as per Damien embarrassedly asking him how after watching him). It takes him a while to learn, but he eventually gets the hang of it, and turns out to be quite a good dancer. (During their wedding reception when they’re older, their first dance is the same one Pip initially taught him, and to the same song they learned with).
-During the events of the movie, Damien spends a lot of time up on Earth to avoid Saddam and his father and spends most of his time in the movie theater. They reunite during a showing of “Asses of Fire”, and later bond over ideals of La Resistance, being the outcast, and an unstable parental presence. They grow close by the end of the film.
-Satan has an “earth house” that he and Damien occasionally move to when the devil wants to live somewhere with nicer scenery. When they are residing on the surface, Pip comes to live with them, much preferring to sleep under their roof than the dilapidated roof of the orphanage on the outskirts of town.
-Pip is always amazed by Damien’s powers, but his fire entrances him the most. Even into adulthood, Pip will sit and watch as fire dances across the other’s fingertips as if it was his first time witnessing it.
-Damien still calls him “Pip”, but not in a negative way. He saves “Phillip” for more delicate situations, good or bad.
After being made fun of for so long, Pip becomes slightly self-conscious of his heritage. When he’s with Damien, the demon encourages him to use more British phrases and dialogue to help him regain confidence and pride for his heritage.
-When they marry, Pip takes Damien’s name, only because his family name has brought him nothing but bad luck and a bad image back home, and since he was the last living Pirrip, he felt it right to end the namesake, but without ending it in death like all his brothers and his father.
-Their love language is physical touch, going all the way back to when they were 10 years old with gentle pats on the back and high-fives. As adults, they even go as far as (mainly Damien) carrying the other around their home, even if they’re just doing some menial task. To know that the other is physically there is what reassures them most.
Feel free to add more in the comments or reblog!

HEIGHT: 5′3″
CLOTHING STYLE: Simple, but stylish; enjoys making an effort in appearance, but is also happy to wear jumpers and sweats around people she's comfortable with.
BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE: Her smile, which she has learned helps put people at ease and offers the feeling of acceptance.
𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑    𝟎𝟎𝟐    :    𝐓𝐇𝐄    𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄.
FEARS: The Volturi, men she doesn't know very well (regardless of immortal strength), losing her found family.
GUILTY PLEASURE:  Hallmark Christmas movies.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: People not taking their shoes off at the door; people taking advantage of people's vulnerabilities or vulnerable people.
AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE: Continuing to build upon her knowledge of the world and feeding her need for knowledge. Making sure that those who need love can find it in her and through her example.
𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑    𝟎𝟎𝟑    :    𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒.
FIRST THOUGHTS WAKING UP: Since she can't sleep it's kind of impossible, but when the sun rises she's often caught in gratitude for the life she has made and relationships established along the way.
WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT MOST: Her human baby, her husband, the happiness of those in her coven.
WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT BEFORE BED: Again, can't sleep, but when the sun begins setting she tends to think of hunting; either by herself or with someone else.

BEAUTY OR BRAINS: Again, both. She's not one to discard someone based on looks, but she's not going to deny that it's definitely a highlight to an already wonderful personality.
DOGS OR CATS: Cats. She had dogs as a human, but vampires and dogs tend not to mix very well. With cats, there's some semblance of acceptance and respect between the two; they just cohabit very well.
𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑    𝟎𝟎𝟓    :    𝐃𝐎    𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘…
LIE: Not usually. Only when she believes it the kindest thing to do.
BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES: She hasn't always, but as eternity marches on she has learned to forgive, respect and trust in her abilities; by extension, she's learned to believe in herself.
BELIEVE IN LOVE: Yes, and as a by-product, perhaps fate, too.
WANT SOMEONE: There isn't a day goes by that she doesn't think of the son she lost, but she knows she could never have him back. She's made peace with it, especially through Carlisle's commitment to keeping his memory alive. She also can't yearn for the impossibility of having children with Carlisle, but she is happy the love she has to give is not defunct.
𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑    𝟎𝟎𝟔    :    𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄    𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘    𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑…
BEEN ON STAGE: No, and would most likely not wish to unless giving a talk about counselling, etc.
CHANGED WHO THEY WERE TO FIT IN: Yes, but through manipulation, punishment and force.
𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑    𝟎𝟎𝟕    :    𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒.

Your opinions about Aeirth and Tifa are very clear (and i agree wholeheartedly)
But what are your opinions about the other party members? I don’t see you talk about them as much.
Love Barret and Red, their character arcs are literally my fave parts of the story after the main scenario. I don't like playing as gunners and Barret is literally the slowest of everyone so that's not so much fun for me. Imma try and use him in my party and build him up, but yeah, not the best. I like fast melee combat. I'm expecting to like Red's combat because he's melee and fast paced and has that ravager mode.
I like Yuffie, I love going to Wutai for her arc, but she's also kinda annoying. Love her combat for Remake. I'm even replaying her mission rn because her combat is so much fun and she has the early synergy system with Sonon. Also Sonon is just 😍
Vincent and Cid I'm meh about. I just never got the hype over them. Also Vincent is a gunner so not my style, and Idky but I just don't vibe much with spearmen characters. I'm the same with Freya in FFIX even though I love her character. I also love Dion in xvi but you don't really command him so it's like I can just enjoy the aesthetic of his combat without putting any effort in 🤣
Hate Cait Sith. It's slow, obnoxious, has a shitty limit break and I honestly don't know anybody who likes it aside from dumdums for shipping reasons. Hopefully that opinion changes in Rebirth, his combat seems to have a lotta complexities now, so we'll see.
I don't talk about the other characters as much as Tifa because Tifa's my fave, but if I'm asked ofc I have an opinion about the other characters because I've played the game and followed the reveal trailers and stuff to learn more about them 😁

that is very understandable about preferring to save money and not really keep up with the latest tech haha, but it really is too bad that companies don't make their games compatible with older devices. maybe someday if you end up wanting or needing to replace yours you'll have a chance to play the game! and if you ever do then i hope you'll enjoy it. the songwriters for wish were two people who had only ever written for pop singers before, which i guess isn't automatically bad--after all, phil collins did a great job with the songs he wrote for tarzan. but i wish that for disney's 100th anniversary movie they had gotten a team that was experienced with broadway-style music, the way they usually do for their musicals. the song "at all costs" from wish is an especially strange song to me because just listening to it, you'd think it has a way different context than it actually does in the movie. oh wow i've actually not heard of that book series before, but it's cool that it's getting a disney+ series! i hope the show turns out well. the only thing i'm reading right now is "disney's art of animation: from mickey mouse to hercules", which so far is a great overview of disney's history and i really wish it had had a newer edition. ooh that sounds interesting, i might try and watch greystroke sometime! what do you think of the direct-to-video sequel (or midquel, i guess) to disney's tarzan, and the tv series, if you've watched those things? i remember watching them both when they originally came out, but i don't recall much of what happened in them and i don't think i saw every episode of the tv series. also, i saw your post about the supervising animator of jane following you on instagram--that's so cool, congratulations!! -🌟
I was listening to Hercules this morning at work, and all I could think about was how amazing the lyrics were. The line from One Last Hope "I'm down to one last shot and my last high note, before that blasted underworld gets my goat" is so satisfying because it rhymes perfectly, makes sense, and is a clever pun using a common phrase that is also in this case literal given he's half goat. And in Zero to Hero there's the line "and this perfect package packed a pair of pretty pecs" is probably the best example of alliteration I've ever heard in a song. Also, all the songs fit perfectly in the movie. They don't sound like something written to get radio plays or to hit the top of the charts and then stuffed into a movie they don't belong in.
More and more lately it seems like Disney's really just going for the quick buck. Just trying to get things out as quickly as possible with out putting the effort in to making it quality like they used to (nothing against the crew, at the end of the day they have to do what their bosses say). So frustrating… just because something is popular does not mean it's the best. Thinking back to growing up in the 90s and the music that was popular then. I loved the music, but it would have been awful to shove that into the movies. Technically it did happen with Mulan. I love that movie, and I do really enjoy True to Your Heart, but it is soooo out of place with the rest of the songs that it practically pulls out out of the movie, like you just changed to channel to something else, and it ruined the ending for me. I honestly feel like skipping the end every time I watch it. One of the reasons the 90s worked so well is they brought in that broadway style that worked so well, and kept the pop music out of the movies (and in the credits where it actually makes sense).
I think the reason Phil Collins worked so well is he was making music for the movie, not what was popular at the time. It made complete sense to bring him in because he's probably the best known drummer at the time. From what I've seen and read he came in willing to learn, because he'd never done music for a film before. This wasn't just writing individual songs, this was telling a story and moving that story along. If you listen to his other work you can notice the difference. Still distinctly Phil Collins, but still serving the film they were made for.
I also remember seeing an interview a few years back with a number of different film composers talking about writing for movies (this one was specifically Marvel movies) compared to "back in the day". One thing that really stood out to me was they said that the movie's are filmed or story-boarded and the director will watch playback with temporary music, sometimes music from other movies that have already been released. The composers said that by the time they are brought in to write the actual music for the movie, the director has "seen the film" so often with the place holder music that that's what they want in the film. So the composers have to write something new that sounds similar to the temp music, instead of having the freedom to create their own music. I wonder if it might be a little of that going on too.
Ooo, I picked up a copy of that art of animation book at a convention a few years ago, still haven't gotten around to reading it though. It's always a shame when book series don't continue. Would be interesting to see a newer version of that series now with todays computer animation included.
I enjoyed the tv series for the most part. A lot of the episodes were based on the original novels, and I loved seeing new adventures for Tarzan. But at the same time, it felt off. The animation was understandably poor (they had only a tiny budget), but the thing that bothered me the most was the way the characters behaved. I know some of it was to make the story work, but they for the most part felt like different characters playing the ones from the movie. Jane was probably the worst, she seemed even less equipped for life in the jungle in the series than she did when she first appeared in the movie. Tarzan and Jane was basically 3 episodes of the series tied together as flashbacks for the story of their 1 year anniversary.
Tarzan 2 was basically an expansion of the Son of Man segment of Tarzan. It had far better animation than Tarzan and Jane (the characters were actually on model!), and the story was pretty cute too. I loved the new songs in it, although they weren't quite up there with Tarzan's songs, it was nice they were able to bring Phil back to write them. Also love that the one was reworked and put in the broadway show.
OMG, thank you!!! I'm still over the moon about that… I keep checking back to see if it actually happened and I didn't just dream it, lol.

Character Ask Game!
Let's do Adira question #'s: 7, 13, 16, 20, & 26.
And for funnsies, I choose Diego from Ice Age question #'s: 2, 10, & 18
Adira:
7. A quote of them that you remember:
A) "Look, I don't have all the answers. But now that I've seen all that I have, I have no doubt; these rocks were looking for you. And you must follow them - to the Dark Kingdom."
13. Your favorite friendship they have
A) Adira's relationship with Hector is by far my favorite. The differences between them are super obvious (their worldviews, their character designs, their fighting styles, their tempers, etc), but they also have a lot in common. Their similarities are portrayed a lot more subtly, so I wasn't really aware of them until I started digging deeper into their personalities and actions.
They both have an aptitude for wilderness survival. They both like spending time in extremely dangerous, magical swamp-forests. They're both incredible warriors of the highest caliber who have been trained in martial arts and swordfighting. They're both athletic and gymnastic. They both wear fur. They both wear long, flowy outer clothing. They're both committed to the Moonstone (in their own way). And they're both deeply loyal to each other above everything else (even if they won't admit it), willing to make exceptions to their own oaths/missions if the other's life is on the line.
There's SO MUCH about their love and loyalty to each other that's directly conveyed while still being left undefined. Which means there's plenty of free real estate for me to play around in to satisfy my curiosity. Or treat it like it's my personal storytelling sandbox. 🤣
16. A childhood headcanon
A) Adira learned that she could speak her mind without offending people (and ramble proudly about her special interests without boring anyone) as long as she said things with the perfect "shock value" to impress or humor them.
This was a great trick when she needed/wanted human interaction that she actually enjoyed. But it didn't make up for the fact that she couldn't "speak with her eyes", or determine what layer of meaning she was supposed to respond to when someone used their words. So her daily interactions with other people were still fraught with miscommunication and awkwardness, unless she was talking to someone she'd known for a long time.
20. A weird headcanon
A) Adira interprets/navigates the world with a very logical, rational mind, but still has many of the irrational experiences/behaviors that are a natural part of being human. She has to put special effort into accepting these experiences/behaviors in both herself and others, whether or not she finds way to understand them. Furthermore she's especially sensitive to the spiritual/supernatural facet of human existence, and well-acquainted with both magic and science in the TTS universe. She believes they're both governed by inherent "laws", but each has its own unique set of rules that don't apply to the other.
26. When do you think they were being "themselves" the most?
A) Basically anytime Adira was alone with only 1 or 2 other characters, I think she was more comfortable with showing all of her emotions, interests, and facets. In bigger groups of people she put on a "show", masking herself to some degree and/or bragging about past accomplishments in order to present herself as 100% capable of leading and protecting the group.
Diego:
2. When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)
A) I saw the first Ice Age movie when I was about five years old, so my memory of when/how/why I truly started liking Diego is pretty fuzzy. I do have this strong/distinct notion about the scene where he meets Manny and Sid, and he leaps from a shadowed area into the sunlight so we can clearly see him while he's talking:
Diego: (standing on a rocky outcropping from the cliff, in shadow) "The baby? Please." (jumps into the light) "I was returning him to his herd."
Maybe it was a premeditated moment of symbolism by the filmmakers, foreshadowing that Diego would indeed return Roshan to his tribe by the end of the movie, and switch sides from "evil" to "good"? Maybe my brain picked up on the symbolism of that moment because I was re-watching the movie and already knew how it ended?
Not to mention I was being raised by an abusive, narcissistic mother who definitely tried to brainwash me into being her loyal minion that had judgement and contempt for the rest of world...The conflict Diego faced between loyalty to his toxic yet grieving pack/family and his genuinely kind/loving outcast friends definitely drew me to him. But I wasn't able to fully understand it and put it into words until I was an adult.
10. Describe the character in one sentence
A) Diego was my gateway character to becoming a Hector stan.
18. How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc)
A) Sassy smart-ass with a heart of gold; loyal to to his pack and proud of his ambitions to support/defend it when he grows up

hi boss! absolutely loved Perfect Love and you did such an amazing job with the entire game's execution! i loved how you were able to so clearly portray eris as f-ked up and the main instigator for everything, pulling the strings behind the scenes instead of the usual "i didnt do anything wrong" or "im just trying to survive" type of MC (which isnt bad at all, but im so happy with the freshness and utter depravity eris brings) i love your art and the intentionally messy style that highlights the disorganisation and chaos in both eris' and milo's mind, the recurring motifs of eyes, red, blue, god i can go on and on. really your vn is so well crafted with how intentional every creative decision taken seems, im going crazy with the amount of love, time and effort you put into perfect love.
ive read every single name easter egg you put and the references to other yandere vns/media (jd <3) AND went on to give us more with adding little quips later in the game depending on the nickname eris gives milo. i was literally going crazy with how i couldnt decode the 2nd type of cipher you scattered throughout the code until 2 days later when i was ready to give up and ask you hahaha
from there, if it isnt too spoilerish, is there reason you used the nihilist cipher that removed the letter J instead of the usual Z ? and ! i loved the snippets with the friendship gang, tysm for leaving in your writing process and brainstorming products in the game files i had so much fun <3 im so sorry for the rant and thank you so much for the game! 1000% looking forward to your next one if youre working on something!
Hello! Thank you for your kind words!
Yeah, one of the main reasons I made Eris like that because because of how much I really wanted to see more evil MC in visual novels (or just yandere media in general). While there isn't anything wrong with having a yandere who is just there to survive, there is something very fun about being the one who causes the yandere to become worse than he initially was.
I'm glad that you found such meaning in the art style! Honestly the biggest reason I drew it like that was because I was trying to get it done for the 2023 yanjam and I didn't want to overwhelm myself so I just made mostly everything black and white. That and it's supposed to symbolize more of the darker aspects of the game. Did you know all my assets were drawn with one brush?
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the details because I really did try to put as much as I could in there. Since I think it would be fun for people to see the neat details people put in the game (I know I sure do when I play visual novels), I tried to make everything very catered to what was going on in the story. It did take some extra work, but I think it's good for the game and my general learning experience. I'm also glad you enjoyed the easter eggs I put in for names and nicknames. I was very sleep deprived when I did it and I kept adding them in because I don't have good attention span (or at least, that's part of the reason).
For the cyphers inside of the code, I put a hint at the very top relating to each of the code. Each of the four types is represented of the three Milos with the one in English being from Eris. The Nhilist cypher is specifically for Manipulation and the key is in the second line based off of the capitalized letters.
Yeah! I'm glad you liked it. I'm still in the middle of writing the other ones (I'm working on the one with Poison in it, which recounts what Eris did to get Poison to fight Violent in his route). I always like leaving my drafts in there because I always find it fun to see people's thought progress in code and games.
No, no, I love your rant on it! I think it's really fun seeing what other people like, dislike and thought about the game in general! My next game will be a lot more light hearted, but still have a yandere character in it.

fandom-blog-less lurker happy to bring sashamilla platonic thoughts to your inbox.
stripping back the worldbuilding, i got interested in the original prompt that spurred the games, of 'what colour is the sky in your world', and i went hey. what if their brain worlds were instead dioramas they made in an icebreaker exercise?
sasha's got his cube with all these machinations, that have puzzles built in. and when he shows it off he's like 'this contraption holds a novel's worth of writing but i mostly want to showcase how difficult and time-consuming it would be to get through to it. it's for me and myself alone, which may defeat the purpose of the exercise but it's what i'm comfortable with.'
then milla's like 'i put a lot of effort into finding joy in things! and i like dancing so i made a dance party :)'
and the comments come around, he admires her purity of purpose and she admires his strong sense of self, and it's ironic to me because i think they both have both
but also... they were working on these next to each other, and they agreed to hide a piece of the other's style in their own worlds >:)
miraculously, the icebreaker exercise breaks the ice!
Tumblr media
This is so interesting, and smartly written! I mean that it summarizes them perfectly, as I suppose that is the point. I wonder, if you mean it is an exercise for them as partnered agents? Or something else? Like how when you start working with someone, you are often made to introduce yourself in a more personal way?
I agree, they do have both! I said in a post a while ago that Sasha & Milla are way more similar than most of their coworkers realize, or they initially realized themselves. Maybe it would take them a while to fully understand their common ground, but I bet they could pick up on it subconsciously right away. Just the way most of us do when we want to be someone's friend. Both of them are different types of reserved, in my opinion they may dip into unhealthy types of isolation.
Sasha, obviously, with locking himself up in a lab, could prefer physical isolation to regain stability. Milla seems more like she would like to "hide" what is bothering her and engage in something she finds enjoyable, like going to a party. As long as these don't get in the way of resolving the original feelings, they may be healthy ways to cope. What I really love about these characters is how they set a great example for what is/isn't healthy in a way that you can understand readily. They still have their limitations (as we all do), they have just learned ways to deal with them that aren't contributing to negative patterns. It is awesome!!! A big reason they are my favorite to be honest!!
Smth else I think about is the two of them dragging each other out of their personal slumps, as they know the other well enough. Milla knows when it's time for Sasha to get out and enjoy life a little. Sasha knows when Milla needs time to reflect rather than deflect. They go together very well in that regard!
Anywho, I just love the idea!! How you worded it especially, with Sasha's design revolving around how unapproachable it is to anyone but him, that makes so much sense.. I was so happy to see this in my inbox I am overjoyed there are other people who don't see them in strictly a romantic light (((^,,,:

Being back at Wayne Manor was like revisiting a secluded place he spent some time in his youth. Safe, practical.
Being back at the penthouse was like arriving at his childhood home, the only true one he ever knew. Nostalgic, happy.
The short time Damian lived in the penthouse was - pathetically - the best era of his life. Things were so easy in those days, as absurd as it sounded given the kind of life he was leading. He was so carefree back then, so busy trying to live to the expectations of an imaginary Bruce Wayne that could be pleased - unlike the real one -, learning what it meant to be a someone and not a something, guided by Dick's understanding hand and experiencing the joys of a purpose he chose and not something imposed on him.
Such good memories. Damian only wished he relished in those moments more, because unknown to him at the time, that would be the first and the last time he knew real peace.
The bright side was that, given how busy Damian was with, well, everything, he didn't have enough time to chase the ghosts of happier days.
And that's how Tim found him: testing the stability of the Batmobile midair in the bunker. Not like he felt it needed assessment, but he had to look like he was following standard procedure and not just magically knowing what to do without fail. As soon as the Batmobile was on the ground, Damian jumped out of it, feeling immediately suspicious about Tim's proximity, because these past days they had been seeing each other more out of necessity but both of them made efforts to maintain their distance, however even at a distance he could perfectly hear every jab Drake threw at him while he was talking to others.
“So,” said Tim with arms crossed. “It really flies.”
“Your observational skills are so keen.” He was done with being “the bigger person”, if Timothy was going to be a petty teenager, then Damian was going to be a petty child, balance in the universe and all that.
“I don't need them to know this is ridiculous. Very overkill, but then again that's your style, isn't it?”
“Should I remind you this is my father's idea?”
The way Tim frowned was the only sign he gave of annoyance. “We don't know what his plans were for this but you're wasting time, we don't need it.”
“You're so optimistic, I almost envy you. Grayson is going to need all the help he can get and if you have any religious inclination, this is the time to start praying.”
“You really think we are stupid,” and he let out a fake laugh, just for effect. “Do you believe for a second we're going to use this? A machine under your control?”
“You're free to examine it to the last bolt, I'm not being nefarious.”
“And we're going to trust you because, what? Scout's honor?”
“No, because I have nothing to gain if you or Grayson get hurt.”
“Like the League could let pass the opportunity of getting rid of us. I bet Ra's would be happy to have one less obstacle in his way.”
“This will not help my case but if I wanted you dead, you'd already be. Why would I put so much effort in this if my end goal was to destroy it when there's easier methods?”
“Who knows what a little psycho like you thinks? I wouldn't be surprised if this is your twisted way of having fun.”
Damian was less bothered and more intrigued at this whole exchange because it was Drake the one who sought him out and whatever he was trying to get from this interaction, Damian had more important things to do than pay attention to his games. It was also a great teaching moment, if one could call it that.
“All right, let's have a conversation.” He said, straightening his posture and putting his hands behind his back. “When I was five my mother made me climb in The Himalayas and I broke my wrist. Drake, are you following?” And he gave special emphasis to each of his next points. “I was five years old, I broke my wrist while trying to reach the summit of a frozen mountain and I was punished for being too slow. Do you honestly believe I enjoyed it?” He remained silent for a few moments so that his words were properly assimilated. “I'm sure you've seen dog fighting rings before, do you think those dogs like it there?”
Damian couldn't really be sure what effect his words had but from the way Tim opened his mouth as if to say something and then immediately closed it, he could at least tell Drake was actually pondering about them.
“I'm not ashamed to say I'm doing this for my own benefit, the institution my father established with Batman is the only thing standing between my mother and me. This is my keep and if it falls, there would be only frozen mountains for me,” and it was true in a way: saving Alfred, protecting Grayson, even working with Drake, it was all for Damian's selfish reasons because he considered these disastrous people his family. “I don't care what you think of me but at least judge me for the choices I'm making here.”
In the past Damian used to complain about how useless he found Tim to be in general, how ill-fitted he was to form part of his father's allies and some part of him even believed those things, but the truth had always been that Drake was as good as any of his father's mentees and seeing the way he slipped into his vigilante persona now that Damian knew the tells was close to charming: detached, calm, in control. Damian almost felt proud.
“You know,” he said in a conversationally tone. “When you rescue dogs from the ring, sometimes you have to sacrifice them because they're beyond help.”
That statement was so brazen that Damian could only laugh. “You're not even going to attempt rehabilitation with me first. Ruthless, Drake. I can respect that.”
One of Damian's unverified theories was that Alfred had some kind of sixth sense: he always seemed to appear at the least expected but more appropriate moments, like he did just now: clearing his throat to announce his presence, tray in hand with a bottle of the cold tea that Damian favored these days and offended so much the butler's sensibilities.
“Master Tim, how good to see you,” he said not giving any sign he heard their conversation. “Can I offer you something? I'll bring it in a minute.”
“It's alright, Alfred, I was leaving anyway, I have things to discuss with Dick.”
“Very well, I'll see you both at dinnertime.”
Tim nodded in agreement and took two steps before it seemed like he thought about it twice and turned around. “I still don't trust any of this, you don't fool me.”
And so they watched in silence as Tim walked away while Damian took the bottled tea, breaking the cap seal and taking a good sip.
“Are you really sure my father doesn't have any more children?” He asked apropos nothing.
“Not that I know of.”
“Good. We already have enough with these ones, they're such a handful.”
“They sure are, sir.”
Of course it wasn't lost on Damian the meaningful look that Alfred directed towards him.
Tumblr media
Colin's reaction at having a proper hideout - at least the beginnings of one - made Damian felt even more guilty for just giving him a garage and calling it a day.
What made it somehow worst is that he originally wasn't even looking for a base to share with Colin, he just stumbled on the building's potential while he was looking for something else in his father's database. Being a bad friend was low in the long list of Damian's offenses but it didn't mean he was not going to prioritize it in this second time around.
“No One, I'm done!”
Colin's loud proclamation somewhere in the entrance of the room made Damian snap of his contemplations. And wasn't that amusing? Colin was left under the impression that “No One” was actually Damian's moniker; not that surprising coming from someone that chose “Abuse” for a name.
No One and Nobody. Maya would've had so much fun with that, she would've had called him her sidekick and probably suggested he color coordinated with her... ah, every so often thoughts like that made Damian wish he could cry for his losses.
“Good job,” he said instead, stretching his arms just for show before turning the chair he was in, in front of a modest computer system. “I'll finish setting this tomorrow.”
Damian wasn't sure if his father wanted for this little deserted clock factory to be a stash house but it had enough foundations to change it to whatever he wanted it to be. It didn't hurt he also had someone more than happy to do the heavy lifting, literally speaking.
“We're coming back tomorrow?”
“If you're able. There's still a lot to do to make this place fully functional.”
“Really? It looks fine to me.”
“If you think this shoddy hole is fine, Batman's headquarters would make you faint.”
“You've been at Batman's place?” Even if Colin was in his Abuse persona, the childish enthusiasm in his voice was clear. “No way! Did he take you in the Batmobile?”
“He did and he even put a blindfold on me.” And just because he knew Colin would find it funny, he added. “So lame.”
And Colin indeed laughed a little, proceeding to sit in the floor, cross-ledged. “It's not lame!” he defended, always loyal to his hero. “His base is one of the more important places in the world, he needs to be careful.” The wishful expression in his face was unmistakable. “It must be great working with him and Robin.” And he sighed, looking a little pensive. “That reminds me that I told you my story but you never told me yours.”
The first time they met, circumstances made useless things like secret identities; Colin figured out pretty easily that Damian was Robin and Damian saw with his own eyes the kind of powers Colin had. This time around things were less straightforward. It took days and days of work - as in beating thugs together - and Damian sharing the location of an authentic hideout for Colin to finally confide a little about himself. He told Damian about the Scarecrow, about how Batman saved him and why he decided to use his newfound powers to help others, but he didn't tell Damian his name or his living situation. Maybe he was testing him, because if Damian really was a close ally of Batman, he could ask him about that incident with Scarecrow.
Or maybe he was waiting for Damian to take off his mask and tell him his name first. Whatever was the case, Damian didn't see the need to do that if it wasn't the result of natural progression. He viewed the knowledge he had about the people surrounding him like optional guidelines, not a manipulative tool to be perceived more favorably.
“Is not that interesting. Batman and Robin saved me too. I was...” And he pondered a little how much truth was too much. “...raised in a cult of assassins.”
Back in the day Damian used to be very nonchalant about his past as an assassin, because he was proud.  He completed every and each one of his mother's demands, surpassed the highest expectations, survived the lowest odds and conquered the most brutal quests. It cost Damian so much pain, of course he was proud.
But the pride of being an assassin died long ago, only everything else remained.
“I was trained to be one of the best because one day they'll need a substitute for their leader. I escaped and came to Gotham, Batman saw I needed help and let me stay.” And for a moment he almost didn't continue, reluctant to confess more even if it was to someone he knew wouldn't judge him too harshly. “I've done horrible things but Robin's existence taught me about redemption. I can save people, catch them when they need it, because someone caught me when I didn't know I was falling.”
The first time Damian told Colin about his past as an assassin, it was in a very dismissing way, just like he did with Jon. And maybe just like Jon didn't grasp the extent of his transgressions at the beginning, Colin surely didn't think too much about the ugly truth Damian's past encompassed.
It seemed that Damian was still underestimating others, even the ones he considered friends and family, because what Colin said next after a short silence was something he wasn't expecting of him.
“Someone told me that there's no bad kids, just kids in bad places, with bad adults and when you're a kid, you shouldn't blame yourself for the things that happen to you. That's why we need to grow up to be good adults, you know? Be like the ones we want to take care of kids like us.”
At ten Colin had so much more wisdom that Damian with all his knowledge of arts, philosophy and war could even begin to appreciate at that age. His mother wholly failed where some nuns didn't even try that hard, but his mother wanted a conqueror and a tyrant, not a normal, healthy child.
Even now, with all the additional knowledge Damian had, he couldn't help but feel like there was so much he still had to learn from Colin and truly, a part of him wanted to refute those words, to tell him that Damian has always been rotten to the core even as a child, but it would be a disservice to kids like Colin and even the one Damian once was; hating on himself was so much comfortable when he wasn't dragging others with him.
“Now everything makes so much sense.” He continued, happily unaware of Damian's internal struggles.
“What does?”
“The way you fight, those cool moves and the sword! You never use it but it's totally a ninja sword.”
“Tt! I'm not something as pedestrian as a ninja.”
“You're not a samurai, you use smoke bombs.”
“Batman uses them too, is he a ninja then?”
“You can't define Batman, he's too amazing for that.”
It became clear for Damian, given the mirth in the redhead's voice, relaxed posture and affable smile, that Colin was trying to make fun of him. He didn't need knowledge from another life to understand this was Colin offering the first tentative step to a friendship despite Damian's revelations, or maybe because of them; either way he was aware of what a gift this was, offered by pure chance twice to him now.
From all the things Damian had lost, he was so grateful to have this one back.
Tumblr media
Just like he said he would do the first time they talked in the Batcave, Drake kept an eye on Damian, but he was years away to catch him out of line, and all the commotion from moving to the penthouse and the preparations for the new Dynamic Duo weren't helping him to discover his machinations. There was also the fact that Damian had on his side the most powerful resource in his father's arsenal: Pennyworth. Without his help Damian's latest endeavor would've taken much more time and effort.
So here he was, waiting on his third attempt to synthetize what he took the habit of satirically calling a “hangover cure”, because when he perfected it, he was alone in a bleak future where things like proper names were useless when he had no one to tell.
It was such a ridiculous scene too, with Damian sitting with his feet up in a chair too big for him, the manga he bought weeks ago in hands, waiting for the machine to finish with the formula he was trying to concoct, while Alfred was walking somewhere behind him with a feather duster and actually using it; all of that at two in the morning in the bat-bunker. To add to the absurdity, he was actually engrossed in the story of the manga. It was hard not to, when the protagonist was a teenager doing the things she was expected to do: having good grades, hanging out with her friends, going out with her boyfriend, all while feeling dispassionate about everything... until she found the world of painting. In a way, it made Damian think of himself a little.
But his discovery of relatable fictional characters was put to a halt when the computer announced that the process was done. He carefully scrutinized the results in the computer screen in front of him, only to read it twice after he finished the first time. As soon as he was sure of the result, he jumped from the seat and rushed to the processor meant for vaccines and all sorts of antidotes. He took the crystal tube from the only slot being used and examined the liquid inside: it was that clear shade of red, the one that made him think what rubies would look like if they were liquid the first time he saw it. There was no doubt about it, this was it.
“People usually say that the smile of a child is a beautiful and innocent sight,” said Alfred, who approached Damian after seeing the abrupt way he abandoned his spot. “If I'm honest, I'm feeling rather unnerved about it.”
He was smiling from ear to ear, all white sharp teeth and probably looking a bit maniacally. “It's the canines' fault. I'm sure they're one of the genetic alterations my mother made.” The explanation wasn't necessary, but Damian couldn't help it, he was feeling elated enough to answer the most asinine things.
It wasn't like Damian was trying to make some experimental formula work, no, he already knew it was functional, but the materials in his previous attempts proved to be faulty. And now, after so much defeats, after taking one step forward and immediately two back, Damian had in his hands his first real triumph.
Finally, after so long, this was undeniable progress.
“Going by this display I must assume this time the result is right.”
“Correct. We did it, Pennyworth, half of the battle is won.”
“Claiming victory too soon has been the fall of many generals.”
“I was once called Alexander, even if I lost this battle, the war will be mine.”
Hearing such serious words from such a small child was a whimsical experience, even if he knew full well that Damian wasn't joking one bit. “At times like this you remind me of Master Bruce.”
“I would prefer if I remind you of myself, my father's shoes are too big to fill them. That's why it's a good thing I have my own.”
Alfred closed his eyes momentarily, letting his thoughts drift towards memories he held dear; reminiscences of Thomas, Martha and a little Bruce. When he opened his eyes, nothing in his expression betrayed anything unusual.
“Indeed it is and I eagerly await to see what kind of shadow you'll cast, Master Damian.”
