oh my god is there a canon time line for this??? Because I don’t remember reading it was 18 months from them landing to their domestic issues happening before the movie that’s actually important to show how they we’re happy for a long time ! Instead of thinking it was in idk six months or like if Cloti couldn’t stay out of fighting each others

Yep there's a timeline.

It's finicky to work out because you basically have to read the books and track how many days pass, so it's not like there's a direct reference to pull and show. Plus AC happens while Kyrie and Evan are moving in together so they weren't witnesses, although Bits does say on that last day he wants to go to the church and they run into Cloud and Tifa heading home.

Obviously before he finds Denzel at the church he's been living with Tifa, and if Denzel's been with them for about 6 months and 2 years have passed since the end of OG then Cloud and Tifa have been happy together for 18 months.

Hey silver there something i thought i should share it to you

But a week ago i saw a tweet from CA ( don’t you why my TL in twitter suggested it for me ) anyway apparently they translated a quote from Ulti saying something about Cloud took A hand and was ready to go with her at the bottom of the abyss than stay on earth or something like that i don’t remember it and CA were really celebrating that since it proved that AC Cloud was ready to die to be with A but i just can’t help but ask are the devs for real saying something like that about Cloud , for years we defended Cloud against those claims and how CA romanize this sick theory of them but then i see devs seriously saying that about Cloud and for who ? For a girl he knew less than a month and leaving his friends behind for her

I just can’t anymore what the devs are thinking is a suicide a message they trying to portray to their story right now ?

I don’t want to believe CA cause they have a history of twisting facts to their favor

Is it really confirmed by the Rebirth Ultimania that there are multiple timelines as they say through translations or is it a translation hoax ?

No, they're not timelines. It doesn't say timelines.

They're described as "worlds" because let's be honest, the devs don't even know how to describe them without going into a long winded explanation.

If you've watched Doctor Who's episode Turn Left this'll be much easier to understand.

Basically these are all "the choices not taken" by the planet.

Everything that happens, every single person's life from beginning to end is dictated by the planet to enrich its own life.

The planet is also a character and not just a setting. It's always been a character, but people constantly attribute its actions to Aerith because they're morons who think fleas make dogs walk.

The first "world" is our canon world where everyone is going against Sephiroth and Aerith dies and it all links up to AC like Nomura said.

The Yorkie is the first choice the planet discarded. Everything plays out in layers upon itself. They're not accessible to each other because as we saw in Sephiroth's lil speech with Cloud, when those layers merge, the planet screams in pain.

The planet cannot have more than one canon lifeline. It'd be like bursting open its major aorta and expecting it to maintain a circulation still.

It will die. It will very likely go insane and die from all the pain and confusion it's in.

Yeah, so the Yorkie is the first discard, but some elements linger longer than others because they're unresolved and haven't accepted their fate to rejoin the planet. We hear Zack making statements to that effect. Biggs does too for a bit but then before he gets shot he's come to accept he can't change anything, and by the time Zack encourages him again it's too late.

Zack's choices cause further branches because he has accepted his fate, but all of those branches taper off and go nowhere, like tributaries in a river.

The only branch that's different is the one Aerith causes, although we don't actually know where Zack is in that one. He's just described as "gone" and so are Elmyra and Marlene. It's possible the final shot of Zack in the church is the same place Aerith was, but I doubt it matters in the end.

So, yeah, not timelines. Not alternative realities. It's the potential of that untaken choice being played out in some what if subconscious dream layer within the planet. It's like when you imagine what happened if you took another choice. You didn't, but you imagine it happening. That's pretty much what the planet is doing. It's imagining what if, but with the people living on it. It's imagining what if Zack Fair lived? It plays out that scenario within the consciousness of the lifestream, but it doesn't really happen because Zack Fair actually died.

This is why the devs just say different worlds 🤣

I still don't see Aerith liking Cloud. It looks more like she enjoys the attention from him. Even when she dies her eyes doesnt look full of love (can't blame Max for thinking the Jenova theory, Aerith is kinda creepy )

Hey~ 👋 What would you say is your #1 favorite Cloti moment and #1 favorite Tifa moment in all of the FF7 universe?

We haven't got to my favourite scene yet. I'm waiting for the lifestream scene. That's my favourite moment between them.

For now, I really like the train roll because we weren't expecting it, and in Rebirth I really like the bedroom scene in Gongaga because again we weren't expecting it 🤭❤️

Tifa's scenes alone I still love her church battle in AC. She's so powerful and graceful. She hasn't really fought for two years but she'll do everything to protect Marlene. At the same time she also protects the flower bed because the flowers were important to her friend, who definitely didn't deserve someone as kind and wonderful as Tifa caring about her.

Hello. in the OG, did Cloud ever goes wreck over Aerith's death after his mind was fixed? I dunno because CA keep saying this thing.

You mean does he have a breakdown? No. He's fine. He kills Sephiroth and is happy to start his new life with Tifa. He's enthusiastic about helping out and rebuilding the bar and even makes sure Barret's commands to the builders aren't causing a problem. He follows behind whispering corrections 🤣

Once the bar is built he helps out until he starts taking deliveries, and then he gets a bike and Tifa suggests he make a business out of it.

That goes on for about 18 months until Elmyra makes him take a bouquet to the forgotten city and he starts getting depressed and guilty for being happy while other people are dead. Then he finds Denzel and that acts as a crutch to help him pull himself together. He starts confiding in Tifa again, but that same night he contracts geostigma and instead of telling Tifa, he runs away and becomes a hobo living at the church because of its healing properties in the flowers and water running under the foundations.

That goes on for about 7-10 days and then AC happens, which takes place over 3 days and then he goes home the evening of the third day with Tifa all happy again.

Why do certain ppl were so amazed by Aerith ritual dance during the temple of the ancients? even comparing it to Yuna's. Personally I found it so uncoordinated & ungraceful even the planet got angry & stopped it XD.

Because it's a ripoff of Yuna.

We keep saying she has nothing unique and this is yet another example. She's a Walmart version compared to Yuna's graceful dance, and yeah, the planet weren't impressed.

And that she's literally no different to all the other characters invading Cloud's space and not showing him any respect because they wanna get in his face, touch him and make him do things because that's what they want 🤔

I've said before she has nothing unique with him, and let's set aside how she's doing her best to steal important moments from Tifa because she's scum, and look at how her only unique moments are when Cloud keeps telling her to stop saying they're dating, and when he calls her nakama. He always calls her nakama. She ain't even as close to him as tomodachi Jessie was 🤷🤣

I have seen a lot of commentary regarding the most recent content being released for FF7R, both official & unofficial. The most bold and aggravating comments come from the shipping fandoms, of course. The Clerith fandom, in particular, are going menacingly hard - whether they’re gloating over some scenes or downright downplaying others, their comments and feelings regarding the game seem to fluctuate the hardest out of everyone else’s.

It’s a literal emotional rollercoaster reading their opinions. Quite fascinating. It ranges from thinking that Cloud’s English VA is far too crude towards Aerith to them being sure that Cloud and Aerith had a valiant hero & heroine moment at the end of the game. Interesting. 

But I would like to gage in on one of many aspects that they’ve been raving about: they seem to think that all ships BUT Clerith are simple fan service. They’re insisting that Clerith is going to be the flagship pairing, and that the developers/creators are using Clessie (Cloud x Jessie) and Cloti (Cloud x Tifa) as a fan service component. Although they may be using this technique, I think they have the flagship pairing incorrect.

After studying the game’s romance interactions, it became more and more obvious that Cloud and Aerith have extremely similar “romantic” scenes as Cloud and Jessie. Even more interesting is that these scenes are just as shallow, cliche, corny, and mundane. Whereas Cloud and Tifa’s scenes are always much more deep, thoughtful, and somehow always bring up their tragic past. Cloud and Tifa have an apparent neuronal & emotional link that literally no other character could replace nor understand.

Of course, to back up my statement, I do have SEVERAL instances where Cloud and Jessie have almost IDENTICAL scenes as Cloud and Aerith. If Cloud and Aerith were the intended romantic couple that will be slowly “burned” into the game’s plot, why do they have the same generic, light-hearted, bantered flirting as Cloud and Jessie? Again, it’s rather interesting. Personally, I don’t think it makes sense to follow this logic, but to each their own!

I would imagine if the canon & intended flagship pairing was Clerith, the developers would at least TRY to make their moments much more unique, NOT make them totally identical to Clessie moments. Although both Clessie and Clerith have very sweet moments, there are no parallels that can be compared to Cloud and Tifa’s intimate moments - Cloud & Tifa have unique moments that are character-specific. Tifa and Cloud know things about each others that others couldn’t emulate, something Aerith nor Jessie could relate to (possibly why both Aerith & Jessie eagerly ask about Tifa’s standing with Cloud). 

But alas, this is just an opinion based on obviously stated evidence. We’ll see how the development team treats the romance component of this game.

Hi! I'm new to your blog, so I was wondering what's your #1 favorite part in the entire compilation of the FF7 world? It can be from any of the FF7 games or Dissidia or Advent Children

Fair warning I really don't like Aerith, so if you do you'll probably wanna follow someone else. I have nothing good to say about her and that triggers some people 🤷

Dissidia isn't part of FFVII compilation.

My favourite part of the comp is probably the kids are alright novel by Nojima. I bought it a couple of years ago when I was gathering ultis and other materials and I just really enjoyed reading it. It's well written, the story is entertaining and has interesting characters.

I'm sure some people will be all "what about cloti?!" but the thing about being a proper fan of FFVII is you like more about it than just a ship.

I also like Last Order, even though that's not exactly canon because of how Sephiroth dies in it.

As for the games, I loved Remake. That was my lifeline during lockdown. I literally burned out my PS4 playing it 🤣
