i had a thought.
you know those soulmate aus where they can feel each other’s pain?
so doesn’t that extend to period pains/cramps as well?
so when James felt a sudden, constant pain in his abdomen (around that area), he learnt that it was the cause of period pains/cramps and so assumed his soulmate was a girl.
Sirius always talked about having a little sister. but all of a sudden, Sirius started talking about a baby brother, and insists he’s never had a sister.
James never connected the dots. He never once thought that Regulus Black could possibly be his soulmate, even though he wished desperately for it, but wishes were just useless hope.
he’s also constantly felt horrible pains that reduced him to shaking messes, especially during the holidays. and Sirius would come back bruised and beaten.
it was only when Sirius hit his brother with a stinging hex at the leg during one of their fights, that caused James to fall instantly to the floor, did he finally, finally realise.

I FINALLY finished this one! So, here’s some head cannons!
He wore his glasses ALL THE TIME. The other V’s couldn’t get them off of him
when harmed you could hear TV static that got louder, causing the other person in the room to go deaf for a couple hours
as he started to gain popularity he also got overly cocky
his suit would often slip off easily because it was a little big on him
He most likely sh if he doesn’t get someone buying his products
a little worrisome about his business failing
him and alastor were friends until they got into a “little” fight

🏳️🌈 Born This Gay by Babet Van Der Schot
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I got this book back in 2018 I think, and I remember loving it! A collection of writing celebrating and talking through queer identities. Babet Van Der Schot writes rhythmically and powerfully. It was great to revisit this one, my favorite poems being “Praise” and “Rainbow”.

It's crazy how Alice creates the most diverse but also relatable characters. There are characters of different sexual orientations, different races, genders, mental illnesses, family life and eating disorders. They're all so different??? but there's something that binds them all together. For example, I relate to Tao but I also relate to Georgia and I relate to Tori but I relate to Frances but I relate to Lister but I... They're all different, but there's something so familiar about them and you can see similar traits in each of them in yourself. I feel like a collage or mosaic of my favourite characters. Not just the four of them, but all the characters, like Aled Last, Micheal Holden and Elle Argent. Alice Oseman's characters radiate comfort and warmth.
Her books give the same vibes as curling up in you're cozy messy bed after an exhausting day at school or work, buried under a mountain of blankets when it rains or snows outside. The months between September and February when the sun sets early and you get to wear extra layers of clothes or that oversized black hoodie. Returning to your room filled with artifacts from your childhood, old books you haven't touched in like four years, book reports and DIY science projects from 3rd grade and movie poster filled haven where you could leave the stresses of the real world behind.
All the lights are off, except for those fairy string lights above your bed. You're sipping a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate, rereading your old favourite books you loved as a teen and watching that old favourite film that you've seen so many times that you can remember the plot and all the dialogue to, but you watch it anyway. Listening to that carefilly curated 90s indie rock playlist from 2019 to drown out and forget the world outside. Staying up late, the only light being the screen of your laptop or phone, reading fan fiction on AO3 while you're whole family's asleep. That warmth and authenticity that you don't find much in modern media. The nostalgia. How she accurately portrays what actual teenagers are like, both the pros and cons. Even if you're reading it for the first time, @chronicintrovert books have the feeling of returning home.

i love the astral express family because they’re all SO weird. every time you think you’ve found the normal one you find out they’re just another flavor of freak. like himeko is maybe the most responsible one, but she just casually enjoys coffee that most consider poisonous. welt? straight up from another universe and carries around a black hole. march? don’t fuckign kid yourself her name is MARCH 7TH. then you think maybe, maybe dan heng is the token normal person of this group! he’s logical, down to earth, relatively calm! and it turns out he’s a dragon whose ex is hunting him across the universe, and he just decided not to mention that. and somehow, in comparison to everyone else, he’s still just some guy
