So the series has a subplot where Zane is a little different and kinda autism coded, it turns out he's an android (nindroid) and has an episode about accepting himself. His roboticness pops up every now and again, when he has some kind of gadget in his arm or an occasional joke, subtle things. Seasons 3 and 4 make this more of a plot point, and eventually he does look entirely mechanical. Even though his arc is dependant on being a robot, he's so much more then that. The Ninjago Movie is an alternate timeline that swerves away from canon pretty hard. Ok, fine, not too big a deal right? Except that Zane being a robot becomes his only personality trait. He talks completely flat and robotic, rather then the quiet observant kind of voice in the show. I don't remember much of this movie since I haven't seen it in a while but, like, Zane is so much more then 'beep boop funny' guy

hes a robot right, and was very heavily autism coded as inhuman characters tend to be. however. he was autism coded in a cool way. autism coded in a just like me for real way. but in season 8 they completely changed him to autistic in a SHITTY STEROTYPE way and to be honest it makes the show almost unwatchable for me. "im sorry as a nindroid i am not capable of understanding your cryptic metaphors </3" DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and jay is Always the one who explains things to him. Reduced to nothing but “the robot” when it came to all jokes involving him, nothing that ever happens to him feels meaningful because any psychological or physical injuries are forgotten by the next episode or two, his most impactful arc was turned into a joke by the writers during Crystallized, his best character development in years was in a literal BOOK.

ONLY 2-3?!?! Um, all the gift fics I received. I absolutely adored them! They were all amazing and I look forward to reading them again and again, but I do need to especially shout out Lavender Haze by @lucas-koh because it came totally out of the blue and is such an absolute perfect characterization of Henrik - and he's doing his thing with wilderness survival and it's extremely hot! I'm also gonna give a nod to @eskiix's Playing By Your Rules. I had an absolute blast beta reading this fic, and like all fics I've ever beta'd, it's like one of my children that I'm super proud of even if I didn't write it myself (although I might have influenced Bea into giving Henrik the screentime he deserved, mwahaha - she caught onto my tricks though). It's a fantastic fic that I think everyone should read even if they're not Lucas stans Third, @queen-of-boops' Deep Dive. There simply aren't enough Levi fics, let alone chaptered ones, and this one is enemies with benefits to lovers? Like, talk about perfection?! I know Mo is really proud of this one, and for good reason - I think it really showcases her growth as a writer, and it's just all-around really good. I was gonna tryyyy to keep this to 3 but as always, I can't. So you're gonna get a bonus one, and that's Filthy by @mrsbsmooth. Honestly, find yourself someone who's willing to take your fic ideas and turn them into whatever this is (extremely affectionate). I am still blown away by how good this is, because foursomes are not at all easy to write, and Suzi smashed it - and it only took her, like, a week? Honestly, I would kill for even a quarter of her ability to whip out so much great smut in such a short amount of time

Ooh. I mean, I've loved writing each of my chaptered fics at times, but I've also spent plenty of time poking my eyes out with them. Same with my Roberto oneshots. I loved writing each and every one of my fics, though, otherwise I wouldn't have written them. I'm gonna highlight one that didn't get much attention though, and that's cocked and loaded. It's Henrik/Lucas, which is my OTP. It's got Henrik's brothers in it, and they're so much fun. It's got Lucas's tense relationship with his dad. It's mafia and forbidden romance, with a bit of action... and I was in @chroniccomicobsession's DMs joking about calling it 'cocked and loaded' and saying it sounded like a bad porno, but then I kind of ended up falling in love with the name and it still makes me giggle every time 🤭

2024... Damn, you're making me think too far ahead. It's still 2023 here for another 4.5 hours! Um, I'm just looking forward to another year of spending time with family and good friends, doing hobbies I enjoy, and hopefully just having a good, chill, drama-free year!

I finally bought a blush because I wanted to expand my makeup usage, and the name of it is Cowgirl 🤭 so every time I use it, it makes me think of Rhett. it's a terracotta color & on me it's like a nice little natural flush almost? I love it.

like I can totally see him getting a little smirk when he realizes the name of it, a sense of pride swells in his chest when you tell him. it's like he's marking you, without technically marking you ya know? "My girl is gonna have a reminder of me every where she goes"

he'll be watching you put it on one day and you can feel his presence and you're just like "rhett baby stop staring" "no not when my girl looks good" and he goes to kiss you, but you take a swipe of the blush and just *boop* his nose and start giggling because as if his nose wasn't already adorable enough, he's got a little flush going now. "darlin' why did you do that. you denied me my kiss" "oh fine you big baby come here" and so he goes in for another (hopefully more successful) kiss, but rubs his nose on your face and you both end up in a fit of laughter.

you finally give rhett a kiss and shoo him away so you can finish your makeup before you head out for the day 🥹
