Very random, but....
I had a realization a couple nights ago (and a major mental health win) that I thought I'd share in case it helps anyone else.
Thanks to a poorly timed song (risks of being an entire library shuffler), I had a mini existential crisis on my long drive home the other night. I found myself having my biannual desperate 'I need to take up boxing' impulse, which I never act on (but probably should), and then longing for the days when I had a treadmill around, because even thought I HATE running (like seriously *hate* it), sometimes an all-out run just solves everything. Neither are options though. And during these thoughts, no music was chaotic enough, I skipped a hundred songs, and no matter how loud it was, it just wasn't cutting it.
And then it hit me.
Deep pressure.
This is all about deep pressure.
Boxing (hands/elbows/shoulders), hard running (feet/knees/hips), and killing my eardrums (self explanatory, lol). All high pressure-seeking.
So when I got home, I asked my partner to squeeze the living daylights out of me until I could barely breathe for like three minutes just as an experiment and you know what? ....it worked 😂 Five minutes later, all signs of existential dread were gone.
It's not something that would work for everyone (and even for people it works for, it won't always, but it's a real psychology trick that might be worth trying if you ever feel like that. There are tons of ways to achieve it that don't require being crushed 😂
I used to work with a kid who's first stress reaction was to climb anything he could get his hands on. Not a huge deal, except it was often things like unanchored bookshelves, which was terrifying for all involved. We were baffled for a long time, until someone realized he was using his own body weight to provide deep pressure to his ankles, knees, and hips. Once we realized, there were safer ways.
Bodies know what they need, even if our brains are too screwy to recognize that sometimes.
I've had this boxing thought for YEARS and never made the connection.
Here's a link to the first article I could find. I haven't vetted it and there are surely better ones out there, but it's a starting point.
Weighted blankets are designed for this, but there are tons of techniques that don't cost money too. Fist clenching is one that worked really well for me in the past. During my worst dissociation days, I used to ball them as hard as I could for 30 seconds to avoid getting caught in my most common pitfalls. Originally I thought it was a Pavlov thing, but not at all. It was this.
Deep pressure is a strategy you usually only hear in autism circles, but, fun fact, things that benefit autism usually benefit everyone, they're just less essential, so they get overlooked 😉
Might be worth a try.

Does The Brain Get Tired Of Thinking?
You might ask yourself: “When we put forward by the mental effort, why do we end up feeling exhausted?.” This is a common question among people.
In this article, I will explain why we feel tired, especially when we overthink something leads to feeling fatigued.
Bullet Points:
Raichle’s research found that the brain uses 20% of the body’s energy despite just 2% of body weight. A typical day of thinking burns 320 calories. Mental states and tasks can affect brain energy consumption; without adequate energy, you might feel brain fatigue.
Our brain depends on glucose as its main source of energy. However, ketones(BHB) can be used by the brain. Ketone can cross the blood-brain barrier and can be used better energy source by brain cells. That leads to more brain cell energy, improves BDNF productions, and enhances GABA and overall inflammation.
According to research, too much glutamate leads to feeling as well, as the toxicity of excess glutamate may contribute to cognitive fatigue; the research in Current Biology discovered that Greater amounts of glutamate, a brain signaling molecule, were found in participants who worked on a cognitively challenging activity for more than six hours. The authors point out that excessive glutamate may impair brain function and that rest may help the brain reestablish healthy glutamate homeostasis by affecting GABA levels.
What is the effect of too much glutamate?
Glutamate plays an essential role in normal brain functioning and its levels must be tightly regulated. Abnormalities in glutamate function can disrupt nerve health and communication and in extreme cases, may lead to nerve cell death.
Too much glutamate in your brain, in the wrong place, in too high of a concentration and for too long can cause brain cell damage or death. Some neurodegenerative diseases associated with having too much glutamate exciting nerve cells include Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Huntington’s disease.
Consuming glutamate in foods may cause symptoms like:
Muscle tightness.
Headache.
Irregular heartbeat or palpitations.
Body weakness.
Increased pain sensitivity.
The More Glutamate, More Tired Your Brain
Researchers discovered that participants who performed the more challenging task accumulated more glutamate in this brain region by the end of the day than those who performed the easier task.
How to Lower or Balance Your Glutamate level?
Taurine: This study indicates that taurine is a potential neuromodulator in glutamate transmission. The reciprocal inhibition between taurine and glutamate in the postsynaptic neurons contributes to computation of visual signals in the retinal neurons
NAC: NAC is a precursor to the amino acid l-cysteine. In drug-dependent & addicted mice, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) therapy restores glutamate (Glu) balance and prevents relapse.
Agmatine: Agmatine is a neuromodulator. It blocks NMDA receptors, and agmatine creates a balance between GABA and glutamate by making GABA levels higher and glutamate levels much lower.
Magnesium: One of the key benefits of magnesium is that it increases our gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels and can also reduce the stimulatory effect of balancing glutamate level
Reduce caffeine: Dopamine and glutamate are both released from the shell of the nucleus accumbens in response to caffeine consumption. However, overconsumption of caffeine can lower GABA levels, leading to stress and anxiety.
Nutrients that help to lower glutamate levels include vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids. However, supplements that come in capsules typically contain gelatin, which should be avoided. Opt for real food sources or liquid supplements.

Other Reasons Why Overthinking Makes Us Feel Tired
When you engage in activities that burden your mind, the theory goes that your brain consumes glucose, a sugary chemical used as fuel. As a result, your brain gets tired, glucose levels fall, and adenosine levels rise, preventing the neurotransmitter dopamine from being released.
You can understand why people prefer caffeine to feel better and enhance the nootropics effect because caffeine is an adenosine blocker. It functions by attaching itself to the same receptors that adenosine would typically bind to.
Which one is better: Mentally tired vs. Physically tired?
Two of them are bad. However, mentally tired is a more serious thing than the physically tired. Why? Because as a human, we mostly use our brains unless we are UFC fighters. Isn’t it? You are reading this paragraph with your brain, not your muscle power. ( Sure, if you have a high amount of muscle, this will support mitochondria and helps better cognition, but still, it’s not the main subject. )
However, for holistic health, two of them is important
Neurotransmitter deficiency might lead to mentally feeding tired and lack of motivation. However, you might still be good at the physical energy level, or your muscle can still be strong.
Some people have high and strong physically, but it doesn’t mean they are the prefrontal cortex, cerebrum, and another creative side. “The frontal lobe is primarily responsible for thinking, planning, memory, and judgment. The parietal lobe is primarily responsible for bodily sensations and touch.”
According to recent studies, Einstein’s brain was not particularly large compared to other people’s, but it was 15% broader in the critical regions that govern mathematical cognition and grey matter. He has a good amount of mental power but not superior physical power.

#1 Biohack for getting your energy back. I just published (what I feel is) the most important masterclass that I recorded several months ago. Why is it the most important that I ever recorded you ask? Well, because it really is the #1 Biohack To Get Your Energy Back. That said, the reality is, that very few health providers actually understand this concept (let alone teach it). It has to do with something I call your "Oxygen Consumption Rate" Meaning, do you use oxygen for you, or do you use it against you? I'll give you a clue: if you are tired, lacking energy, or dealing with exhaustion or fatigue...THEN YOU ARE USING OXYGEN AGAINST YOU!!!!! This Masterclass is so deep and rich with useful information, it took me just over an hour. I publish it tomorrow at 11 am, so I wanted to give you a heads up to be ready to watch it when it goes live, or at least put it on your radar when you have the time to sit down and really learn. Click here to access it: Learn this # 1 biohack for Super Charging Your Energy I also discussed in detail the following topics: #1 Reason you go to see the doctor #1 Biohack is learning how to harness oxygen What does stress have to do with being able to harness your oxygen? The 4 Essentials of Life What are the mitochondria? The importance of bio-available copper Who is Dr Joel Rosen and Why Should You Listen to Him? Why the term adrenal fatigue is a horrible term Morley Robbins Cure Your Fatigue book Energy demand is exceeding the Energy supply How Does The Body Make Energy? If you're not producing energy, your oxidizing Difference between iron anaemia and iron dysregulation Why Bioavailable copper? What is Ceruloplasmin? What goes wrong to deplete your energy The old approach for energy recovery Tomorrow at 11 am: Click here to access it: Learn this # 1 biohack for Super Charging Your Energy I hope you enjoy it, Dr Joel P.S: Let me know if you have any questions or need some clarity on anything I discussed in this masterclass. your art really inspires me!!! in a few ways. i'm really in love with your use of shapes and lines, its so nice in a really particular way that resonates with how i want my art to be, and its ALSO really inspiring to see you just. post your own ocs and draw them over and over as much as you want, its so cool. at times ive felt a bit weird about how my main creative drive is often just about my little guys that nobody actually knows- but thats the same thing as anyone whose ever written an amazing story, isnt it? freedom and peace and light on planet earth 😌☀️⭐️
That's such a lovely thing to say, thank you!
But if I'm being honest, and I've mentioned this before, I've also felt weird, embarrassed and guilty about being obsessed with my characters and wanting to draw them over and over again. Somewhere along the line I got really nervous and cautious about sharing any oc content, I didn't want to talk about their lore/stories/backgrounds publicly and I tried to draw them only as a treat between other works. I guess I just thought people were finding them tiring and unrelatable (despite there being no evidence to support that) and that I was being selfish for drawing my own characters so much. I also believed that if I wanted to be a proper artist and develope my skills, I should be making art that looked "frameable", stuff that I could potentially present to people irl. I'm very proud of those pieces but making them didn't feel as creatively and emotionally fulfilling as making character art always is.
Around last May however, after a bad six month art block or so, I just thought I'd be properly self-indulgent for once and draw Machete as much as I liked. Vasco joined him about a month later. And I've been having such good time doodling them, I've been more inspired and productive during this summer and fall than in past five or six years combined. I'm delighted to see how liked they are, and the support and interest they receive continue to fuel my fixation ;_; <3

"Also.
“War was?”
“Es war K… Kehrwoch…”, flüsterte Karsten mit schwacher Stimme.
Samuel sprang vom Tisch auf, Dieter vergrub sein Gesicht in seinen Händen.
“Verflixt und zugenäht!”, schimpfte Samu. “Hippopotamusbullenpropellerschwanzmist! ”
“Es tut mir so leid, Karsten.”, schniefte Dieter. “Das ist böse, richtig böse.”
“Und der Fall, den ich für uns gefunden habe, ist in…”
“Sag es nicht! Sag es nicht!”

“Stuttgart.”

Why Gut health is the Cornerstone For Brain Health?
The more we learn about the gut, its special intelligence becomes clear. A growing body of evidence suggests that the trillions of microbial inhabitants that live within us have a deep, complex relationship with our health and nervous systems, including our allergies, diabetes, and cancer, as well as, more mysteriously, with our brains and behavior.
This “brain in your gut” is transforming the scientific society’s familiarity with the connections between digestion, emotion, health, and even the way you think. Many scientists now refer to the gut’s neurons as “the second brain.”
Yet, a growing body of evidence links guts microbiota to gastrointestinal and extragastrointestinal illnesses. Dysbiosis and gut inflammation have been related to the development of numerous mental diseases, including anxiety and depression, which are common in today’s culture.
First, Understanding Our Brain
The brain utilizes the most energy of any organ in the body; under normal physiological conditions, the brain generates ATP mostly from glucose. When glucose is scarce, such as during prolonged fasting, ketone bodies become an important energy source for the brain.
Any mitochondrial damage and inflammation were related to cognitive problems. Research shows People with higher inflammation has cognition problem.
Inflammation Inhibits Brain Chemicals, Decreases BDNF production in Hippocampus.
Do you know that certain inflammation in your body leads to detrimental brain chemicals?
It’s critical to take brain inflammation seriously since it causes damage to and death of brain cells, speeding up the aging process and causing atrophy of the brain.  Studies showed on mice provide great insight into how the types of bacteria in your gut can influence your inflammation levels.

Even after being assimilated, Sonic somehow finds a way to use the chaos emeralds, which doesn’t sit well with his body. The chaos emeralds acting as an anti virus, but his assimilation is stronger than one could think
