Zuko is quick to accept you as you are his aunt whom he trusts.

While Azula didn't know how to act around you, thinking that you viewed her in the same way her mother did, a monster.

But you made sure to include her in everything along with Zuko.

The healthy relationship you had with Ursa is the same one you wish for Zuko and Azula to have, one full of love and respect.

But Azula always tried to push Zuko out of some activities, she claimed 'it is a girl's thing'

"Mother should only brush my hair because I'm a girl"

Meanwhile, Zuko clings to you, telling you everything he knows, or sought knowledge about it.

Meanwhile, you hate Ozai, he is just unlike...your first husband.

Ozai is beyond redemption in your eyes.

And many days, you avoid him.

However, one day, you and Ozai were fighting about political matters and Zuko intervened to defend you.

"Stop yelling at mother, she has done nothing wrong!"

You only placed your hands on Zuko's shoulders, fearing that Ozai might hurt him.

But the glaring competition between the son and the father only ended in Ozai leaving.

Unfortunately, Ozai did not let that slide when Zuko cut in one of the political meetings.

He challenged him to an agni kai.

Something that Azula was excited about.

You tried to plead for Zuko's case.

But that made Ozai more determined.

And on that day of Agni Kai, Zuko was left defeated with a scar as a reminder.

And then banished from the first nation for not wanting to fight his father.

But you kept sending him letters from behind your husband's back.

At first, Zuko swore to capture the avatar so he can be accepted back as an heir and into the arms of his aunt, you.

But after joining the team avatar, he swore to defeat his father and save you.

You know, despite the new live-action ATLA absolutely slaughtering Katara's character, there is one upside, and that is the many video essays explaining why the OG Katara was amazing actually and why all her flaws and "annoying" aspects actually made her a great character.

i broke my leg not so long ago and i've been eating series the whole month, like, literally eating them like a starved person.

do you know how many times have I watched a:tla before? three times. do you know how many times have I watched a:tla by now? seven times.

the same with haikyuu, can you imagine? i only saw the anime one time like seven years ago and ate the manga like crazy, and now I watched the anime a total of five fucking times

the same happened with the books, i literally have nothing else to do as I read the entire percy jackson and the olympians saga and then six of crows and crooked kingdom. also finished one piece manga in one evening, reread bungou stray dogs novels and somehow had the time to cry three times over the last episode of jujutsu kaisen anime

Your younger brother is the avatar, whom you got frozen with for one hundred years in ice when you tried to calm him down during his avatar state.

Meeting Sokka and Katara made you feel comforted that there are friends who will always be there for you and Aang.

Back at the temple you were always spoiled and got everything you wished for.

Aang is always sweet with you, Katara became your best friend whom you told everything to, and Sokka didn't waste a chance to flirt with you.

However, everything went downhill when prince Zuko kidnapped you.

At first the prince would shout at you whenever you disobey his orders, but after seeing the way you would burst into tears, he stopped it.

He also noticed that you are meek in nature and aren't used to hardships.

Your airbending skills are weak unlike your younger brother, you also have a weak physic, you get sick easily.

So he went from your kidnapper to your protector whenever you two were in a dangerous situation.

His main focus is to always keep you safe.

"Whatever happens, always stay behind me and don't try to stray away, understood?"

And also Zuko didn't hesitate to use his firebending on anyone whom he viewed as a threat.

There was that one guy who asked you out on a date...Zuko burned his house down.

The only man Zuko trusts with you is his uncle.

When you stated that you wished to return back to your brother and friends.

Zuko snapped.

"If they cared for you, then why didn't they come to save you? Nobody cares for you like me. I would kill them if they even tried to."

I have a question what is ozai like in the swap au is he like ursa?

Ozai is pretty much the same as he is in canon. The only difference is that he favours Zuko over Azula. It started off normal: Azula was born lucky, Zuko was lucky to be born.

But after his son proved himself (still figuring out what exactly he did to do that), his ideologies changed. Around that time Azula was falling behind on training and wasn’t living up to her father’s expectations, so he began to resent her more in Zuko’s stead.

So yeah he’s basically the same asshole, he just switched sides bfjkdfhbvjd
