I came across THE ABSOLUTE BEST comment on an AO3 MCU fic!! The person who commented it even cited their sources proving what they were saying by turning part of the sentence into a link -- multiple times! Idk how to do that so I'll just leave a link to the original for anyone interested in those, and paste show off the comment here!

**Warning: Please mind the tags! Within the MCU you either hate this type of fic--and therefore comment--or you're still just a salty and full of rage as you were when it all first started going downhill in 2015. In other words: Civil War Team Iron Man.**

THE COMMENT (which was a reply to a hate comment about how "amazing" and "perfect" Captain America is):

"Yes, Steve Roger is all of those things. In the comics. 616 Steve can do things like defeat two other Super Soldiers when his Serum has been turned off. He's actually a Captain instead of it just being a stage name, due to, depending on the writer, either actually going to Officer School and blitzing through it, or receiving the equivalent of Officer School training while "on the job." In the comics, Steve Rogers earned his rank under the code name of Captain America, and his "secret identity" was that of the bumbling Private Rogers. MCU Cap actually is the bumbling Private Rogers, but is treated like a trained genius tactician undeservedly.

Comics Steve Rogers is also of far better moral character. He's the sort of person who would throw his shield to alter the trajectory of someone falling in order to avoid civilians being hurt. MCU Steve Rogers is never shown caring about the people hurt in Bucharest, and has no problems treating a German SWAT team the same way he did Crossbone's goons. When in the comics everyone finds out that it was Cap's evil Hydra clone who did all sorts of terrible things, Steve admits to HYDRA Cap that he's actually glad that, thanks to HYDRA Cap, people no longer trust him as much as they did in the past, as he's actually never been comfortable with people blindly trusting him or anyone else. MCU Steve demands that people blindly trust him to have their best intentions in mind. 616 Steve has enough willpower to break free of mind control straight away; MCU Steve got stuck in Wanda's illusions like everyone else.

Also, when 616 Tony isn't being written by stupid writers as a fascist, Steve is pretty much the founder and president of the Tony Stark Defence Squad. Anyone talks crap about him, Steve reminds them of how many people his tech and charity work has helped, and on a more personal level actually appreciates how much Tony has done for him instead of accepting it as his due for saving the world once a year.

Comics Steve is respected because he deserves it and has earned it; MCU Steve demands it like an angry toddler, claiming that he's a good man when in reality he's just not as big of an asshole as the Red Skull.

The sad part is, it would have been so easy to salvage Steve's character. Show him sending a coded message to JARVIS during WS, and later say Fury mention that Tony, even with his suits all blown up, was standing by to ensure that all the non-Hydra stuff was taken off the net so that no innocent SHIELD employees were hurt and no US secrets were leaked. About 5 seconds of footage.

Show him trying to contact Tony when Wanda talks crap about Ultron being just like him to prove her wrong, and getting concerned when there's no answer and heading back to Stark Tower just to be sure. Don't show him already be in the process of charging forwards and drawing back his fist to throw a punch at Tony before his chest piece ever arrives. Add two seconds of footage where Steve tiredly asks whether Tony can call another suit to pick him up from Siberia after their fight, and have that letter include an actual apology instead of Steve just trying to justify his actions. Give Wanda an actual redemption arc and have Steve feel like, even if she was HYDRA and people don't like her, she still deserves a chance to show she's not a monster like the Red Skull was. Show Wanda being horrified that the Hulk wandered into Johannesburg, and be reluctantly grateful to Tony that he stopped her from ultimately being responsible for the deaths that a rampaging Hulk would have caused.

Instead we have MCU Steve, who seems less and less heroic the more you think about his actions, and spoilt brat Wanda."

So for this series It will be based on MCU and Doctor Who but for Doctor Who only a few episodes same goes to MCU because I want to make sure the Marvel Timeline is accurate. So in this series there are 'Big Changes' and 'Big Additions'.

For example, the big change is that the Daleks are not evil and the one who destroyed Gallifrey is the Mad Titan (Thanos) and the Daleks in this universe are good and they are the ones who help Gallifrey survive but Gallifrey is still destroyed and some Daleks are almost destroyed and yes Time lord, Time Lady and more Timey people are all extinct. BUT! Daleks are still there and yeah they are good.. not the EXTERMINATE! no.

Cyberman is still evil and still wants to make humans more advanced so there is not much change.

Sontarans.. umm I'm not sure yet.. maybe I'll make them some good or some bad.. not sure yet. ( don't cancel me.. Sontarans is my favorite potato sooo.. THEY SO UGLY BUT I LIKE THEM.. Idk why)

Weeping Angel is big no no for me.. they evil.. because of them I can't see Amy and Rory anymore... And they are so evil SO! no big change for this one.

And all the aliens that will be in this series I will make them either good or bad so that this series can run smoothly.

NOW! we go to the favourite part. So you are The Doctor in universe 616. Where the other Doctors is from another universe. So you are the 616 Doctor. yes, I use code universe from DSMoM because it's easy to label. And Big changes are, you regenerate as usual but you don't change your body and face.. just change your attitude or for healing process. But you can still die if you get stabbed or shot in both of your hearts during or before regeneration... Poisoned.. Drowned... Or Delete.

Yeah, like a period mood swing. So! Whether you change your behavior, be nice or rude, use nice language or use rude language, or whether you are gentle or aggressive is based on me ( cause I'm the Writer.. Your life in this story is in my hand). Whether I want to make you all nice or rude is all up to me....Now that part regeneration is finished.

Hi! Can I get a match for The hunger games, MCU, Harry Potter, and the umbrella academy? I get if it’s too much then just the first one is fine.

I’m 5’7 almost 5’8. My hair is a little more than shoulder length; my roots are black but lead into a dark hunters/forest green and my bangs are auburn. Then I have 2 braided strands decorated with beads. I have a eyebrow and nose ring with 13 ear piercings and really dark brown eyes. I have kinda pear build w a little pudge ngl. I also always have acrylics (stiletto ofc :) )

My mbti type is INTJ. I definitely keep to myself and wait to be approached by others. Although I tend to take a leader role in almost any situation. My anxiety is through the roof especially in social settings. I have very few friends because people don’t meet my expectations or they “can’t break through my wall”. I have no filter and am overly blunt. People think I’m super rude and bitchy but I genuinely think I’m a sweet person; just very very selective. Overlay sarcastic and monotone too. I enjoy reading books and writing and listening to music. I write my own poetry too. I have the biggest soft spot for animals. I’m not very athletic. I’m definitely the brains instead of Braun. Not to brag but I’m extremely smart. I rely on logic more than feelings. I have a hard time opening up and caring about people. But when I do it’s one of those things where I do it hard. I’m a different person in public than behind closed doors for sure. My love language is gifts either giving or receiving and acts of service. I have really bad and unhinged irritability/anger and tend to lash out a lot. I shut off and isolate then tend to struggle with expressing myself. Top 5 favorite characters dynamics? In movie, fanfic, book, whatever... Lol

(This is in no particular order)

Happy and Peter P. from the MCU but kinda more accurately from my mindstories fryeihudw. Happy is traumatized Peter's Safe Person in a special way no one else can compare to. I really should talk about my mindstories about this. Anyway, Happy is an uncle/father figure to Peter and is very protective of him. Peter trusts Happy completely and while he knows that he's much stronger than Happy, there's still a feeling of safety that comes from Happy being near.

Steve and Robin from Stranger Things. I usually have little to no interest in the concept of platonic soulmates but these 2 are the exception, idk how I ended up so invested in their relationship. I have quite a focus on not-platonic shipping in fandom and I have such ships for these 2 as well but none are as important to me as their relationship with each other.

Tony and Peter P./Quentin and Peter P. from the MCU. This might be cheating but these are so intertwined with each other in my head I felt like they belonged in the same slot. Tony's importance to Peter, Peter being one of the few people who don't constantly treat Tony like shit and genuinely loves him, all of him. Tony inventing time travel basically just for Peter, with the billions of other Snapped people being a bonus. There's a bit of obsession inherently there on both sides and I love that. And Quentin preying on those feelings, placing himself in Tony's role, filling that empty space left by Tony's death. Really ensnaring Peter and making him emotionally attached (faking a near-death experience that parallels Tony dying as Peter helplessly watches, that is so beautifully fucked up.) Quentin getting more attached to Peter than he planned to. But it's not a redemption, it's a dark obsession.

Slade and Robin from Teen Titans 2003. On the topic of dark obsessions. I'm just recently rediscovering this show but holy heck do these 2 have a dynamic. A two-way obsession that causes the hero to blur morals more and that's exactly what the villain wants. Slade was such a huge focus for Robin, he'd cover his room with news and info on Slade. I feel like Robin probably had an unexpected... emptiness in him when Slade died. The way Robin still keeps a Slade-dedicated box after Slade's death? 👌

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer/Mungojerrie and Demeter from Cats the musical. Another kind of cheating one but they feel connected in my brain regfyidwhu. Mungojerrie discovering love and caring through Rumpleteazer. Rumpleteazer discovering freedom and (kind paradoxically) independence through Mungojerrie. And for Demeter, Mungojerrie's the one who has seen her at her worst but was her one source of comfort and companionship during most of her stay in Macavity's tribe (other than Macavity himself who was both comfort and threat.) They have a similar level of devotion to one another as Mungo also has with Rumple. Demeter has a lot of trust in Mungojerrie and Mungojerrie will always look out for her and her kittens.

Back in the olden irondad days, my friend and I would joke about a drinking game where you took a shot every time the spidey csa psa comic was quoted almost word for word in a fic where the author clearly had never read another comic. Learned to filter him out with the tagging system eventually.

Honestly it was one of the many sins of the irondad fandom that just doesn’t make any fucking sense to me. It was like living in constant cognitive dissonance to follow blogs and read fics from people who say in the same breath that the “comics don’t matter” and “fuck comic people” who would also reblog out of context comic panels “proving” irondad exists beyond the MCU AND writing skip fics while also saying in their reblogs and authors notes and in asks and sometimes with their with their whole chests in discord chats that they “can’t write MJ because it’s too difficult” and “flash is a bully” and “idk anything about may/she’s a bad mom” in total and complete sincerity.

Like 90% of skip fic could be nailed down to people projecting and exploring their own trauma and you know, I will not be the one to tell people how they need to cope but I WILL and CAN be fucking baffled that so many of the same “comics are SHIT we HATE the comics” would somehow find the (1) singular PSA comic from the 80s that isn’t even considered to be a part of the mainline continuity to be the GOLD STANDARD for fucking irondad. That 90% of said skip fics went out of their way to make May seem like an inept mom or that like Peter couldn’t/wouldn’t trust her or tell her anything or worse— make it so that Tony would be the one to go and save the day??? It might be a projection fantasy but it’s also fucking abhorrent that Peter’s fucking agency was stripped yet again by another dude in being “saved”. I can think of exactly (1) fic in this entire fucking fandom that treated Skip as a concept and a character with any kind of care to Peter as a fucking abused character searching for recovery. Nearly everything else was a watered down pale imitation that’s frankly offensive to who he is a character, much less to anyone who has been abused. Skip fic doesn’t care about Peter or abuse— it’s a power/savior fantasy to make Tony Peter’s god.

Skip fics might not be the worst trope in irondad but it certainly ranks in the top 10.

I get a lot of lovely reviews and many people say nice things, especially about my characterization, but I think this one is among my faves:

This was very well done! It made my chest ache and made me tear up a couple of times. TOS McKirk really deserves more love, and I enjoy how you've built up this trust between them to work with what we get on screen. Even if you don't do a sequel to this, I think you should write more TOS McKirk in general! You captured them very well.

because it was left on my very first mckirk fic that I still love dearly. And it’s just so “I made someone feel something?” 👀👀👀

9. A time when writing was really, really hard:

I feel like I’m going through times when it’s easy then it’s hard then it’s easy again and it all blends together. (You can usually tell whenever I “complain” on tumblr lol) The last time, it was just before Christmas because I was so stressed from not having everything done, but the moment I actually bought presents I felt better lol

10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you:

It feels weird to say now, but And All I Ask..., the first mckirk fic. Like, I literally woke up one day and was like let’s write a tos!mckirk fic. And romantic one even. I’d never expected that to happen. And in that fic in particular, there’s a scene where Kirk and McCoy both kiss the same woman, and that whole scene was also very surprising when I came up with it.

11. A favorite excerpt of your writing:

A loud thunder sounded, and McCoy startled, his shoulder brushing Jim’s. Jim pressed closer, hoping to convey he was there and McCoy wasn’t alone. Sitting in the dark could sometimes feel as if there was no one else, as if you were the only person in the universe. All alone.

Jim let out a breath and stretched out his leg, letting the side rest against McCoy’s thigh. Maybe it wasn't McCoy Jim wanted to reassure. Maybe it was he who needed to know he wasn't alone. Who needed to feel another person's presence in this dark place.

"Do you ever regret joining?" Jim asked, breaking the silence.

McCoy scoffed. "Sure. Right now."

"McCoy."

"My..." McCoy cleared his throat. "My daughter's fourteenth birthday is next week."

Marriage. Daughter. Jim dug his fingers into the soft ground. Did he even know anything about McCoy?

12. How did you grow as a writer this year:

I don’t think I did? idk I always feel like I’m just getting worse, instead of moving forward, I’m going back... I would reread fics I wrote in 2016 and feel like they’re more creative and more fun, and I start to feel like I’m stagnating.

13. How do you hope to grow next year:

I wish I could let go of “people expect to see established fanon” way of thinking, I wish I could stop caring what other people think, I wish I could write a fic where I won’t need to include anything that I know the fandom expects. I just hope that I’ll be able to write a fic the way I want without making compromises... I also want to work on structure of my one-shots.

14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc):

Jim Kirk lol

15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:

I don’t think so.

16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

If you’re stuck, retype your fic again. Or chapter/scene if your fic is too long. You might not change anything (but you most likely will, even if it’s just your wording or a word choice), but you will also get back into the flow and it’s easier to continue. And it’s better than staring at a screen with no result.

17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:

At the moment, I’m working on a fic with a pair of characters I’ve never thought I would want to write about (I mean the dynamic, one of them is Kirk because of course it is lol), but here I am, wanting to tell a short moment in time with the two of them. I’m being vague and don’t want to say too much, because I’m afraid that if I mention it, I will lose the drive to write it.

Have you played any of the COD: MW games Laura? If so, which ones do you recommend. I wanna start playing them but idk anything about them. And I trust you to give me an honest review.

sdfhjgfsdjh my honest review is I can't seriously recommend playing these games to anyone because now that I'm older their function as propaganda for the american war machine is in direct contrast to my beliefs. If you do play them I recommend remembering this and being attentive and critical of what the game wants you to see and think.

Anyway I haven't played any of the new ones because 1) Blizzard. 2) us military. 3) nostalgia bait cash grab that lacks 60% of what made the old games interesting. But I do have extensive knowledge because. Special interest. So I love to explain to people why there are two MW1 and MW2s. So I'm going to put some stuff about Development Hell and my recommendeds under the cut.

So there are 3 versions of modern warfare. The original MW trilogy (2007-2011), the remasters of MW1 and MW2 (the exact same game with better graphics and updated gameplay and bug fixes. They basically rebuilt the game from the ground up in a new engine it's actually a very impressive remaster.) and the new MW games, which are what I'd describe as a "soft reboot" the way James Bond does every time it gets a new actor. New stories, new tone, same names.

The original trilogy is what I'd recommend you play. If I had to pick just one game? The original MW2. I still think its THE cod game, the best cod game of all time. But the story doesn't hit quite as hard if you haven't played the first MW so I'd definitely recommend you play the MW1 and MW2 remasters in that order. MW3 I think is the weakest modern warfare and also hasn't been remastered, probably because it's the weakest modern warfare and nobody really cares. You can play it if you want a conclusion to the story but frankly the conclusion sucks. Infinity Ward and Activision had a legal dispute after MW2, because the sheer size of modern warfare's financial success outstripped call of duty itself and infinity ward were trying to go independent but activision were trying to avoid paying them more, and most of the IW developers, the director, and the designers who had all worked on the first two games were either fired or left the company. MW3 paid the price.

The soft reboot is uhh.... Well. It's Activision making money off a franchise name that they basically stole from its original developers without understanding why it worked. It's so racist and fascist it makes the old games look progressive. It follows an MCU style dripfeed of sequel bait and promises to show you the next cool piece of nostalgia if you just pretty please buy the next game. It lacks stakes, it lacks emotion, and it relies more on shock value than the original games ever did. I like seeing old characters again and idk maybe it has value to it but for me it does NOT compare to mw 2007/2009

petty rant about (one of the multiple) things bothering me about matt in the mcu so far incoming -

okay so the thing im having trouble wrapping my head around is just. how flippant he is with hinting at his powers while he's in his civilian identity

i know comic matt is awful at hiding his identity but nmcu matt (which. apparently is supposed to be the same version as mcu matt) hates revealing shit about himself. he never told his dad about his powers, and he most famously kept his daredevil identity from foggy and karen (his closest friends) until he was on the brink of death, or until his entire life got ruined and all his bridges were burned. the times he has outed himself to strangers are few and far between (and like. actually important to his character/narrative, like stick and elektra, or unmasking himself to calm down a scared kid, or revealing himself to ray as a symbol of his trust).

and yet, in about every appearance he's made in the mcu recently he's dropping hints like he doesn't care about his secret identity at all !!! yes there are Reasons why he made those moves but imo they're incredibly flimsy and im just saying nmcu matt would've yelled at everyone to duck instead of catching the brick, or just told happy to relax because he's got this instead of telling him to 'stop sweating', or found a roundabout way to question frog man about the jet fuel instead of going 'he's using jet fuel don't ask me how i know about this'

and yes, he has dropped hints about his identity in the dd show before (for example, standing up before everyone else when a witness was killed by fisks cops in s1, throwing himself over karen when reyes office was shot up, and defending himself against fisk when he visited the prison in s2, and ofc the multiple times he just bolted down a random alleyway and threw his cane away) but those were either dire, life-or-death situations, or situations where he was on a time crunch and in public spaces where it would've been harder to trace him, and not just casually in every interaction we've seen him in so far (and peter's doesn't count because hello he is a superhero who could have caught that brick his own damn self)

Last anon's ask made me think how it's really weird how the Alias JJ and the pre-Bendis JD (even Bendis JD) have pretty much nothing in common except name and profession... then JD becomes Carol's best friend... and KSD makes JD snarky... and Hopeless gives her a baby, ties to the street-level side of the MU, and a professional relationship with Ben Urich... and from Thompson on JJ is drawn with black hair instead of brown hair (though this is more MCU synergy)... now they're the same character.

loool don't get me started on Jessica Drew vs. Jones!!

I actually thought pre-Bendis JD and his initial JJ creation do have a lot of aspects in common. it's honestly one of the biggest sticking points for me with JJ and part of why I could never really enjoy the character. maybe it's just unwarranted ...bitterness? over there being a shiny new Jessica getting more attention, but idk. I'm not sure how the publication timeline matches up here, but knowing how Bendis initially wanted a Spider-Woman solo, but that didn't work out (because of his own plans to replace her with Veranke, but whatever) and that, when offered a solo opportunity, he created an all new, original OC... named Jessica... who's a former street level hero... now a PI... that has a fucked up relationship with super heroing... and a shit ton of self worth issues. I really can't not see that as he just made a substitute Jessica when he couldn't write about the one he wanted. maybe I should be grateful if the Kilgrave shit was always his intention that Jess didn't get subjected to that. but it still annoys me that he couldn't try and make his character a liiiiitle more distinctive like, oh, I don't know, giving her her own freaking name!

(and a side note: Jess was originally a street level hero and, tbh, I think it's where she belongs. other than the double secret agent stuff (which tbh never really got played up until Bendis), she pretty much entirely existed at the street level. don't get me wrong, the self worth issues she gets into thinking she's not good enough for the Avengers while an active member of their team are super interesting and I love how being a double agent plays into her trust/inclusion issues, but she's always been most at home on the streets to me.)

I never really thought about how the confusion between the two could at all be responsible for the personality shift Jessica underwent post-Bendis.... buut. don't get me started on all the changes to her character, particularly in H*peless's runs, that I hate so freaking much. the tone/voice shift was my biggest complaint at the time because it seemed so obviously off to me (and I thought indicative of a broader trend with how the big two were writing many of their female characters at the time), but no one else seemed to see it. I also hated how H*peless had to force an all new sporting cast (I didn't like) on her, when she had so many established (forgotten) connections that could have (and should have) been reintroduced instead. she already had Lindsay as a PI partner; bring her back! and she had plenty of other connections and support in her street level/PIing too who way more deserved being brought back into her life than that stupid d-lister villain self insert H*peless had her shack up with.

and, of course, the most maligned decision of them all, the fucking baby (I refuse to accept the existence of). if you wanted to write about a Spider-Woman with a baby so badly, Julia Carpenter was right freaking there! maybe use her instead!!

Summary: Florence tells you to cancel your plans when she ends up in New York.

Warnings: Nothing really bad. Mentions lactose intolerance? Idk if that’s sensitive to people. Probably some spelling errors.

A/n: Hello darlings! I’m back from my unannounced break. I decided to write a platonic Florence fic because she’s a sweetheart and I loved her as Yelena! Also for those who follow me, don’t worry, I will be working on a sequel to my Tom Holland “Sour” fic!! But for now, please enjoy this fic!😚💕

You stood backstage in front of a mirror, looking at your appearance and making sure there were no wrinkles on the dress you wore. Your hairstylist was behind you, fluffing your hair and managing the stray baby hairs on your head. You were currently at NBC Studios in New York City, about to do an interview with the infamous, Jimmy Fallon. Tingles buzzed through your skin as you heard the cheers and music from the stage. Jimmy’s voice can be heard faintly backstage, only adding to your growing excitement.

The sound of heels clicking approached you, it took less than a second for you to feel the warm presence of Florence behind you. The both of you were starring in the upcoming Black Widow movie alongside Scarlett Johansson; after months of working together and spending days hanging out, you and Florence had become very close friends. She was, without a doubt, your favorite person in the world. Since the moment you met her, she had always been the most sweetest and caring person you’ve ever met—and you were proud to say you had her in your corner.

You met Flo’s eyes in the mirror and bright smiles were instantly on your faces. Turning around, you open your arms wide, and wrap them around her. Bear hugs were a must in your friendship with Flo, you both just loved receiving hugs from each other.

“Ahhh! I told you that dress would be perfect for tonight, you look stunning!” She squealed, tightening her arms around you. A day before Jimmy Fallon, you and Flo had been at your place with your stylist, picking out which dress you should wear for the interview. The dress was casual, but the color was so ever vibrant that it made the dress pop.

You pulled out the hug and looked at what she was wearing. Her gorgeous blonde hair was curled into loose locks and her dress was just as vibrant as yours. The pink of her dress and the orange (yellowish?) of yours complimented each other. Which coincidentally enough, was a parallel of your lovely friendship with Florence.

“Me? Flo, you look gorgeous! I’m so obsessed with this look!” You help her twirl, hyping her up as she showed off her outfit. After sneaking in a little mirror selfie and posting it onto Instagram, the two of you were given a five minute warning from one of the crew members. You and Flo were moved to stand behind the curtain, waiting for your cues to walk onto the stage.

While the two of you were getting mic’d up, Florence leaned closer to you.

“Can I be completely honest with you?” She mumbled, her stare remaining on the curtain before her. Your brow raises in curiosity as your head slightly turns to look at her.

“Of course, hun. What’s up?” You ask, your attention on her. She sighs and leans even closer so only you can hear her.

“I feel like I’m about to shit my pants.” She admits, swallowing nervously. Your mouth gapes, “Did you have iced coffee too?”

Flo’s face scrunches up in confusion, “N-no! That was me telling you I was nervous! Did you have iced coffee?” She fully turns to look at you and judging by the look of guilt plastered across your face, you did in fact have iced coffee.

“Maybe?” You answer, though it came out more like a question. Florence rolls her eyes at you.

“(Y/n), how many times do you have to be reminded that you’re lactose intolerant?” She scolded you.

You scoff, holding a hand up at her, “Trust me, I’m reminded every time I sit on a toilet.” You shake your head, trying to refocus the conversation.

“This isn’t about my poor digestive system—why are you nervous?”

She sighs, “I don’t know why I’m so nervous, I’m used to doing interviews and stuff. But I haven’t been on Jimmy Fallon, and there’s an audience out there and I don’t want to mess up or accidentally spoil the movie.”

You place a reassuring hand on her shoulder, “You may be British, but you’re not Tom Holland. You won’t spoil anything.” You start. She quickly shoots you a look that screams, “you’re not helping”. You make a gesture physically telling her that you’re getting to the point.

“You’re going to be fine! I mean you did Jimmy Kimmel right? This shouldn’t be that different, it’s the same thing—just different studios, in different states, and different Jimmy’s.” You point out. She nods along as you continue, “Plus, I’m gonna be up there with you. You won’t be alone.”

With the help of your reassurance and witty little comments, Florence felt her anxiousness simmer down. They weren’t completely gone but the fact that you were gonna be up there together made her relax more. Being part of Marvel had its pros and cons. Sure, the movies are spectacular and the actors are outstanding. Though when it comes to doing promo for said movies, it can be quite stressful. It’s a known fact that Marvel and it’s executives can be quite strict when it comes to interviews with anyone involved in the making of their films—their strictness made sense, although for first time MCU members, it took some getting used to.

Florence smiles at you, “Thank you.”

You playfully nudge her shoulder with yours, “Don’t worry about it.” You say with a kind smile.

The wholesome moment was interrupted by one of the stagehands telling you and Florence that the two of you were on in 15 seconds.

“Our guests tonight are making their big MCU debut in the new Black Widow film, please welcome (Y/n) (L/n) and Florence Pugh!”

“So in the movie, there’s three of you guys—where’s the other one?” Jimmy asked, motioning his hand to the small space between you and Flo.

“She’s at home I believe.” Florence answered, glancing at you. “She’s busy doing stuff, you know—adult things.” She added.

You took the opportunity to make a joke and said, “Yet here we are promoting her movie.” You roll your eyes playfully. The crowd bursts out laughing, along with Jimmy, who smacked his desk.

“You know, we deserve a raise for this.” Flo considers, going along with your joke. She slightly snorts and nudges your arm with her elbow. “We could take Scarlett’s check and just split it in half for ourselves.”

“Problem solved.” You shrugged, high fiving her.

Another round of laughs fill the room as Jimmy says, “So you’re both taking Scarlett’s money?”

Jokingly, you nod in approval, “By the end of this interview? Definitely.”

Dropping the bit, you shake your head with a grin on your face. “I’m kidding! I’m only joking, I wouldn’t do that to her, even if I were forced to.”

Jimmy moves on as a picture of you, Florence, and Scarlett pops up on the screen. The picture had been posted on your Instagram and was taken while the three of you were filming in between takes. You were taking the selfie while Scarlett and Florence were poking their heads out from behind you making funny faces.

“I can’t imagine how exciting it is to be on a Marvel set, and to even work with one of the first ever heroes in the MCU—that must be insane!” Jimmy exclaims, motioning to another picture of the three of you.

“It’s unbelievable. To work alongside Scarlett and to follow this kind of path that she’s paved in the MCU is an honor. She really was like our older sister behind the scenes, because she was always guiding us and taking care of everyone. She’s the best.” Florence responded while you nodded in agreement.

“I watched the movie last night and one of the things I enjoyed the most was the dynamic the three of you had. You guys were like actual siblings.” Jimmy mentioned, motioning between you and Flo.

Florence giggled before squeezing you into a tight hug, “Yeah, she’s my big sister.” You smiled beamingly, patting her cheek before she let go.

“No, really! She’s like my actual younger sister.” You tell the audience, who “awed” at the hug you both shared. “We spent months on this movie and we spent every single day with each other. By the middle of production, we were basically roommates.”

“Roommates?” Jimmy questioned, leaning his elbows on his desk.

“Because I was always at her house.” Florence answered in a ‘duh’ tone. “I’ve actually grown an attachment to (Y/n), she’s like my comfort blanket. So I need to have her with me at all times. If she’s not with me, I just won’t leave the house.”

“Speaking of your attachment to (Y/n), there’s this video of you that you apparently sent her?” Jimmy gestured at you, “And you posted it on your Instagram and now the whole internet is obsessed with it.”

“Yup, that’s the one.” You confirmed.

“I know there’s probably some people who haven’t seen it, so here’s the video.” The video of Florence popped up on the screen and began to play.

Jimmy looked at you and Florence in amusement, “Can we get some context?”

Florence waved her hand at the screen and said, “As you can all see, I’m very persistent.”

“This wasn’t your first time sending her these kinds of videos?” Jimmy asked. You shook your head, a feign look of annoyance on your face.

“No, she does this all the time.”

“In my defense, I was unexpectedly flying out to New York for a project. I knew I was gonna be in the city for a few days, so I decided to call (Y/n) and make the most of my trip.” Flo defended herself, slightly pouting.

You leaned your head on her shoulder, “To be fair, it was also our first time seeing each other since we wrapped Black Widow, and we really missed each other.”

“(Y/n), did you have to move any plans?” Jimmy turns to you. Florence does the same.

“You know what, you never told me if you had plans or not.” She squints her eyes at you. Your arms crossed while your body slowly sunk into the couch.

You pretend to fix your lipstick, quickly muttering, “I might’ve moved some plans around.”

Florence’s mouth gapes in shock, her entire body freezing. She grips onto your shoulder, “Wait, you actually moved plans for me?”

“I might’ve rescheduled a lunch with someone, but that doesn’t really matter.” You replied, trying to move on from the topic. Jimmy pointed at you, a giant grin on his face, “You actually moved plans for Florence!”

Florence’s mouth was still wide in shock, “I can’t believe you actually moved plans for me—(Y/n)!” She whined.

“I missed seeing you, so of course I had to move them.” You bashfully explained, the corners of your lips turning upwards. Florence pulled you into a hug.

“Gosh, you really do love me!” She exclaimed.

“I really do!” You said, your arms wrapping around her as well.
