we are a dependants adult. we are a system with alters of many ages, but our body is an adult. a autistic adult. a disabled adult. just because the body isn't a child anymore doesn't mean you're any less worthy or support, accommodations, and care. yes, there are plenty of autistic and disabled children. but people are forgetting our disabilities and we, don't go away because the body ages. autistic and disabled children, become autistic and disabled adult. ♿️ - The Dreamdrop System

i use my AACs because they help me communicate |
drawing of Matsu art by Shane | this is an older drawing
Matsu is an AAC user. we have a lot of AAC users in our system. a lot of our system prefers nonverbal communication over verbal with our mouth parts.
communication through AACs isn't always great. not everyone's will have a friendly response. we delt with positive and negative response. which is why we get nevrous to use AACs even though it's how a lot of us communicate.
we have our phone and tablet to use, but we have some communication cards and communication boards in a portfolio.
even tho we've been using AACs for a long time we still feel nervous to use them. they help us communicate. if they help you communicate, use them. - The Dreamdrop System

Ear protection!! It's so important for a lot of autistics. Mainly for us. We need ear protection 24/7 but at times we don't think we need them, and we regret it after.. We get overstimulated quickly. But the mornings are so hectic we forget our ear protection, whether it's our headphones or earplugs, and it was bad. This is your reminder. Ear protection protects us. It protects you. It helps us. It helps you. Wear your ear protection. ☂️ - Allison
