Self portrait (featuring my pencil grippy)
Autistic artist draws self: Doesn't know how to actually make it look like self...

recognizing my own autistic tgirl swag has been helpful to figuring out my own thought processes and shit cus like, i kno there's a lotta overlap with OCD and ADHD that hits me like a truck. it's def like a, "you were always this way" moment of realization of self. just cus i got the good socializing skillz doesn't mean i always i had them, had to learn that shit. what it means to be a good friend and community member. i think of the ways i do things sometimes as being set to do it that way but sometimes that can be hella damaging not recognizing better (maybe harder) ways to do things different instead.

Nathan McConnell is an awesome dude. It'd be great if you could support his documentary that aims to bridge the gap between autistics and neurotypicals.
