Do you remember when the Dragon said 'A half cannot truly hate that which makes it whole.'
AND DO YOU REMEMBER HOW ARTHUR WAS TAUGHT MAGIC WAS EVIL HIS WHOLE LIFE AND YET COULDN'T HATE IT EVER TRULY?
Do you remember how after years of suffering, thinking magic is evil, he accepted Merlin? Asked him to hold him? Because I can't-😭😭😭

Watching Horror Movies Together
Super Short Headcanons || Modern Au
Genre: Fluff Featuring: Arthur, John, Dutch, Javier, Charles, Sean, and Sadie Warnings: None - super casual writing
AN: I know no one requested this but I was on a horror binge last night and couldn't stop thinking about how these guys would act during a scary movie marathon so I wrote a quick thing in my notes app to post teehee~ ---> Requests are open! Check out guidelines if you have questions
<><><><>
Arthur Morgan:
Is not scared at all - literally impossible to scare.
Thinks horror movies are predictable and kind of boring.
However, God forbid a dog dies in the movie because he will get up and turn it off and say that the writers went too far.
Grumbles and groans on movie nights where you choose a horror movie, but will always wrap an arm around you and insist of sharing a blanket because he just likes spending time with you and being able to hold you close.
Will tease you for your bad taste in movies but secretly loves watching them with you and finds himself getting sucked into them every now and then.
John Marston:
Is on the edge of his seat the whole time.
Claims he's watching them because he thinks they're funny, but actually really enjoys trying to figure out who the killer is and who's going to die when and where.
Jumps at every jump scare but acts like he didn't.
He needs to watch a Disney movie afterwards so he doesn't have nightmares. Will say it's for your sake and not his, though.
Man acts all big and bad, but once the music starts to get intense and there's a long hallway on the screen he is looking everywhere but at the TV so he isn't jumpscared again.
Dutch Van Der Linde:
Probably taking notes during psychological horror movies on how to be manipulative.
Says the killer is misunderstood or that their tragic backstory makes the killing justified.
He will eat all the popcorn and then get upset when it's all gone. Cue the puppy eyes while he's begging you to go make more.
Spends a good forty-five minutes talking about how you and him would survive the movie because y'all are so much smarter than the main characters and would make it out of there.
Genuinely believes he's invincible and could survive any scenario.
Javier Escuella:
HATES horror movies because they genuinely scare him.
Well, he can handle slashers but he hates paranormal movies since he believes in ghosts 100% no questions asked.
Loves making a snack buffet for the movie - popcorn, candy, cookies, sodas, fries, and the works.
Encourages you to cuddle into him and hold him whenever you get too scared since he's so big and brave.
Will end up being the one hiding his face in your shoulder and holding you like a teddy bear because he got freaked out.
Charles Smith:
Loves to analyze horror movies in -like- an artistic way.
His favorite types are historical horrors because so much thought goes into them.
He will watch silly horror with you, though, like Scream and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, but will spend the whole movie making fun of you. Lightheartedly, of course, he's saying that those aren't real scary movies and that you're kind of a wuss.
The entire movie his arm is wrapped around you and pressing you deep into his side so that you can cuddle and be warm. It's a little too comfortable though and you end up falling asleep there more often than not.
Loves it when you do that, it makes him feel all soft and warm on the inside.
Sean MacGuire:
Makes jokes the entire time.
Literally has something to say every 2 minutes that has the both of you laughing instead of being scared.
Honestly, it's the only way he can get through the whole movie.
If you start getting sucked into the movie and he's too nervous to fully focus on the screen, he will start throwing popcorn at you to get your attention.
Halfway through the movie he will make you pause it so that he can have a mental break from all the scary stuff and gore. Totally turns into a make-out session and the movie is long forgotten.
Sadie Adler:
Absolutely nothing fazes her, she LOVES scary movies.
She knows all the behind-the-scenes info about every movie you watch too because she deep dives into interviews and essays after watching them the first time.
Her eyes are glued to the screen but will have you lay your head in her lap so she can run her fingers through your hair to soothe you when you get scared.
Makes fun of you when you react at a jump scare. When you look up at her with a frown, she'll press kisses all over your face until you can't help but smile.
She loves that she can make you feel comforted and safe when you're scared, secretly loves it even more when you try to go to bed after the movie and you're clinging to her like a koala because you're still a little spooked by the film.
<><><><>
I know summer isn't even close to over yet, but I am so excited for Halloween this year, so here's a little Halloween in July (think like that Gravity Falls episode)
Hope you enjoyed <3

<< Part 3
Merlin always has slept quietly. He didn't move much or snore, he tended to move when he was settling in, but once he found a good spot he slept like a corpse. Arthur always found that a bit funny, that he was so full of movement and life during the day and so still while sleeping.
He also found it a bit infuriating, he never really wanted to be the clingy one, it was a bit embarrassing to him at first, but Merlin never denied him, not even asleep. Arthur gravitated towards Merlin, not always a full on cuddle, sometimes that could be a bit overwhelming to Merlin, who had his spot perfectly climatized, but he always ended up having a point of contact.
Merlin found it "cute" and Arthur found that comment offensive. Merlin said that he didn't mind cuddling but that if he wanted to cuddle he needed to do it from the start, apparently Arthur was like a furnace (Arthur also found that comment offensive) and if Arthur suddenly hugged him in the middle of the night it made think there was a fire somewhere or he had developed a fever, Arthur promptly threw a boot a him.
Merlin also woke up slowly. Arthur found this really surprising. Merlin had a flexible schedule, which actually meant that he was practically enslaved. He could say anything about his job, but would never complain of the hours, he had to be there at 9 and out at 5 (not that he actually did it, but that's not the point). Merlin had the lab at the university, he had to be there at least 4 times a week, but the hours depend on the experiment, and then there was his non-profit which took most of his time. So even tho that pretty much from the moment that he woke up he was needed somewhere, Merlin always took his time to wake up.
Another shocking thing is, he never used alarm clock. Merlin woke up on time always, without help. Then he went back to sleep a couple of minutes more, or spent too much time preparing for the day, or didn't know what to do for breakfast so he froze up at the kitchen table thinking for 10 minutes... the thing is, Merlin woke up on time, but was always late.
That being said, one Arthur's favorite moments where those rare mornings he woke up first, and there was no rush, and he could see Merlin fight the wakefulness, rub his face to the pillow trying to find a cool spot, watch stretch and reach out for him. Merlin would open his eyes slowly and look for him, at him. And the way that he looked, like he was still dreaming, like Arthur was his dream. Nothing made him feel more loved, and full of love than that. It was so unrestrained, so pure.
He wanted that.
He wanted to be like that.
They didn't sleep together much, their schedule was sometimes incompatible, but when he could afford it, he stayed with Merlin, even tho it meant he had to bring a spare suit, and wake terribly early, and catch a cab, and be init for 45 minutes because of the morning traffic... just for the tiny possibility of watching Merlin wake up.
It's been almost three months since the chance of waking up next to Merlin became zero.
Arthur woke up sad, dreaming of Merlin by his side just to wake up alone in his flat, was increasingly difficult each day.
When they broke up, when Arthur accepted this, he couldn't actually imagine how ingrained Merlin was in his life. He had been there for him since (Merlin's) first day. He should have known.
Merlin was the biggest, best, and only choice Arthur had made. But he never actually committed, Merlin was his, but he could never be fully in Arthur's life. No matter that the life without Merlin was a life that he hated, he still was living it.
"I told you that yesterday was important, you knew that. And you choose him" Merlin had said.
Arthur had never seen that like a choice, never seen he actually had one. When his father talked he didn't expect an answer, so he never thought he could give one regardless. That day his father had entered his office and said that he had to a attend to a very important meeting that afternoon, Arthur tried to give options, suggested Leon as replacement, tried to tell his father that maybe he will arrive late or maybe leave early...
"Don't be difficult Arthur" Uther spoke dismissing his arguments "I don't care whatever plans you have, you have a responsibility to this company, to each and every employee and towards me. You are going to step up to the position of CEO sooner or later, you need to maintain your image, or it will reflect poorly on everyone"
Thinking back, he could not help but cringe to the condescending tone of his father. At that moment in his mind, it had seemed like a sound point, it had made sense, now all he could hear was the selfishness of it. In the end it hadn't even been a meeting, it was a fucking cocktail, a very exclusive cocktail for a gallery opening that Uther was looking to collaborate with (to put expensive artwork in his expensive buildings). Coincidentally a lot of his friends and colleagues were there, and their daughters.
Every time he thought about it he had to fight the urge to hit his head on a wall, repeatedly. He really thought that his father had his, and his employees best interests at heart.
He regrets a lot.
He hated that he hurt Merlin, he hated that it had ended up in this situation. But at the same time, he didn't hurt Merlin only that time, he had been hurting him, always without noticing, always without caring to notice.
Merlin never slept at his flat, even tho it was much more comfortable and spacious, and it was more or less the same distance to his lab. But Arthur hadn't wanted Merlin to be seen leaving his flat in case de doorman told his father or worse, that his father showed up unprompted one day and watched Merlin in his flat. So Merlin never slept there, no matter how late it was Merlin always went home, and told his doorman that he was his PA, not to rise suspicion.
He was an asshole.
And Merlin didn't deserve that.
So they needed this, yeah.
He needed time to fix it, to make himself worthy.
But he didn't know how to do that, and he was starting to feel hopeless.
It had been three months, and although in the moment he had offered Merlin to cut off Uther from his life for good in that moment, he was thankful that Merlin did not take it.
He didn't really want to leave his job.
He liked his job.
Well, he liked part of his job. It was just the expectation, and the need to make connections...
And well his father was tough, and definitely not perfect, in fact very much flawed, but it was his father. He loved him, and cut him off seemed like too much.
What could he do? He had been stuck in this point since the break up.
He needed help.
But the person who was always for him in this situations was Merlin, strangely wise occasionally.
He pulled out his phone. His friend were good and true, but the topic of Uther was complicated, most people couldn't understand why he would want to keep that relationship alive. It was also a really vulnerable topic, and he wasn't known for his heart to heart. Arthur wasn't good with feelings.
He keeps scrolling.
Gwen might understand but she was Merlin's best friend, he didn't want her to feel like she was switching sides or something, Merlin also needed someone.
The he stopped at a name at his contact page.
He didn't really know if it was a good idea. It most probably wasn't but he didn't really have any other options.
What does he have to lose?
He needed to find a solution to this, he missed Merlin, and he wanted his friend back.
He tapped the call button and waited.
Worst case scenario, he kept going like that and slowly died while Merlin tried to redo his life. Unacceptable.
"Hello?" the confusion was evident as well as the weariness, but, well, she still answered "Arthur?"
"Hello, Morgana"

so what is your opinion on mary then? you said previously that you didn't like her but you're happy to defend her?
Sure, Mary isn't my favourite person, but I don't hate her - honestly I don't <3
I'm always going to defend characters who are victims to mischaracterisation, especially the women. It's a frequent double standard, people fail to be as understanding of female characters compared to male characters.
Mary and Arthur both suffered to difficult home lives and dysfunctional families, just to different extents.
Mary hated that Arthur was an outlaw, she understandably didn't like that he kills people and steals, but she knew how good of a person Arthur could be. Arthur hated Mary's family and how they treated her, they were very judgemental and abusive, especially when Mary was with Arthur. He knew how much she cared about her family regardless of how they treated her, Arthur knew how good of a woman she was.
What pains me is how Mary failed to understand how living as an outlaw wasn't a choice for Arthur. He was raised in an environment that showed how harsh the world could be if he wasn't tough enough or willing to kill for his safety, Mary was raised in a similarly harsh environment that exposed her to how being a woman meant being treated as a lesser person in the society they lived in.
Given how Mary and Arthur initially parted ways, her needing Arthur's help in chapter two proved difficult for both of them - same in chapter four but it ended on a better note if you chose to.
Mary's main takeaway from meeting Arthur was seeing how he didn't, or couldn't change. Even though we don't see as much of her life compared to Arthur, it didn't seem like she changed either.
It always came across to me that they both wanted eachother to change (i.e Mary wanting Arthur leaving the outlaw life and Arthur wanting Mary to be more understanding of his circumstances) but because they both had family ties, they just couldn't.
Mary couldn't be understanding of Arthur's life because he still continued to live that way, proving that he couldn't change. Arthur couldn't leave his outlaw ways behind because he had the gang to provide for, proving that Mary wouldn't be understanding despite them both knowing that they couldn't abandon family.
To which we come full circle, they split initially because they weren't compatible and that still remained to be the case.
Mary was fully prepared to drop everything to run away with Arthur, but she expected him to do the same. Even after his explanation about the gang and needing money, she knows she's heard it all before and decided to just leave it. They both wanted to run away so badly and I can imagine that even if they did, their lives would catch up with them eventually.
Nothing gets forgotten.
Arthur knows that, he just ran out of time, and Mary didn't know at the time how precious those moments with Arthur really were.

Sooooo... I've had a thought for a while. How awesome would it have been if they had let Colin Morgan keep actual his Irish accent to remind ppl that he wasn't originally from Camelot? Like, maybe it becomes subtler as the seasons go on but it's always there and when he gets tired or angry the lilt would come out FULL FORCE and ppl that didn't know or forget would be like, yo wtf???
(Headcanon Masterlist) (Full Masterlist)
Ok so I rarely answer asks as soon as I see them but
Anon
I DEDICATE AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR OF EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY THINKING ABOUT MERLIN WITH AN ACCENT!!!!
Like.... I'm turning this into a headcanon set because I need to think about this right now (if someone else wants to expand it that's fine, or if it's popular enough, I'll add it to the next List update).
ANYWAY!!!
Say he's not actually from Essetir, but Ireland (from research I think it was called Hibernia during the medieval ages, or maybe Alba? I'm not sure, so I'll just stick with Ireland), and Balinor ran a little further afield before meeting Hunith, and then returning once things had settled down to live in that skanky cave, so he can keep an eye on how Camelot was doing. Hunith and Merlin travel to Essetir when Merlin is maybe twelve or so?? So the accent and customs (and even the language) is like... heavily embedded. (To cover plot holes... uh... Gaius is also Irish, but travelled over with... relatives(?) when he was so young that he doesn't have an accent, or even really any memories of home. He has however visited and been visited by his sister enough to have a good relationship with her, and they exchanged letters regularly before and after she moved to Essetir. There. Don't think about it too much.)
HOWEVER!! When he moves to Camelot, he covers it up, because Camelot already hates Bastards (check), Sorcerers (double check) and also Gaels (check again). So to make his life easier, he gives himself a generic Essetirian/Camelot accent, and no one really notices, Maybe he has a bit of a lilt here and there, but people chalk it up to him spending lots of time with a diverse set of people, and/or maybe just being a country bumpkin. The lilt definitely comes out more when he's angry, the angrier he is the stronger it is, but, what the majority of Merlin's friends don’t know, is that they've never really seen him truly angry. Annoyed, frustrated maybe, a little pissed off, but not properly angry. Not for the first few years at least, so again, no one really notices.
Sometimes he rants to himself under his breath in Gaels, more so when he's with Gaius because it's not like the guy doesn't already know, even if he can't actually understand (Gaius does mourn the loss of his heritage sometimes, especially because, when delirious, Merlin's accent comes back full force, and Gaius can't understand a word he's saying).
Anyway. I do have this scenario in my head of some poor page running into the Throne room all "Oh CHRIST, My Lord, there's a woman in the courtyard who claims to have killed Morgause and rescued Morgana!! BUT!!! She says she'll only speak to Myrddin??" And the whole room is in uproar and Merlin just rolls his eyes at them and goes "What does she look like?", at the description he just goes "Oh shit" except in Gaels and runs out. All the gang follow to see him embracing this woman and speaking fast Gaels to her. She's introduced as his sister or an old childhood neighbour/friend or something. She couldn't give less of a shit about Camelot's anti magic laws if she TRIED, and fully admits to defeating the two witches with magic, because she herself is also a witch, and basically dares Arthur to do something abut it whilst Merlin despairs. Once the shock passes, someone, probably Gwaine, just goes "Hey, Merls, what's with the accent?? And the name??" and the woman just raises her eyebrow and goes "Aye, Merls, what's with the accent and the name?" And he has to admit that he's Irish and his real name is Myrddin (I know it's actually Welsh but let’s pretend just for now) and talks in his normal accent and everyone just... blue screens.
At least three times a day for the next few weeks, if not months, he has to explain the "new" accent to friends whom he hasn't spoken to since before the incident. Overall it's very funny, and everyone in Camelot suddenly finds Merlin ten times hotter. Arthur is struggling to cope. Leon openly drools. Gwaine is so wowed he can't even flirt right. Gwen trips over every time he speaks.
His accent is naturally really toned down, from years of hiding it and just being around people who don't have that accent, but it still gets strong when he shouts, and is nigh impossible to understand when he's concussed/drugged/suffering from blood loss/exhausted to the point of delirium. He also starts using words like "aye" to mean yes, and "slán" (the original of Sláinte, meaning good health, or cheers), when he says goodbye, and it's very endearing but also very confusing.
Our man is just so much happier being able to be himself and share his culture with no backlash, because Uther's been gone a while, and Arthur made peace with the Gaels ages ago (Merlin was basically just in too deep to back out then and kept clutching straws until the sister/friend arrived and blew it all wide open). Now he just has to do the same with the magic thing.... But then again!! Sister/friend not giving a fuck has maybe done that already. So. Maybe he's already set?
Anyway. Merlin with an Irish accent. Yes Please Please Please :D

do you have any thoughts on prussia and Canada non romantically? I think they could have an interesting dynamic that’s way overshadowed by all the shipping in the fandom, like they were enemies at one point and i think Prussia would fear Canada bc Canadians had a reputation of being really strong on the battlefield in both world wars. I think they’re def chill w/ each other modern day though.
I understand if this just isn’t ur thing, just those two are making me think thoughts and I cannot find any non romantic content of them
this was all sparked by your fic where Matt and jack are captured by Gilbert and Ludwig btw, I really liked how you wrote the dialogue there. Also you mentioned they had interacted before, care to elaborate? 👀
Oh, man yeah. Idk what precisely about prucan makes me want to jump in a lake, but in my universe, Matt literally took or nearly took Gilbert's head off with an axe in 1918 to slow the German spring offensive so lol yeah. That was his little side quest during the whole 'Alfred was mad Jack and Zee moved back behind the lines without Matt' fic from a while back. A solid quarter of Matt's war crimes were directly against Gilbert and Ludwig personally.
With the whole invisible meme and how practically every man, woman and child in Quebec participated in extremely severe brutality against the Americans and British in the 17th and 18th centuries and then threw our war crimes record on top, it's just too perfect not to write him as a trench wraith. Other nations have limits. Europe may stay their hands personally often because they never know when they might need that ally later. But Matt's never held back in his life. He couldn't afford to when he was small, and crawling on his belly through no man's land was easy for him. Ghosting his way behind enemy lines, spitting skulls and slitting throats is nothing new for him. He did that as a child, the wee freak.
And Gilbert did, too. Knight, crusader, zealot whose hand was certainly not stayed. Mutual recognition of being so fucked up they can't spend much time with the other without being reminded of some USDA Grade-A beef. I fully adhere to the headcanons that Matt's a walking flashback for Gilbert in some circumstances. But they get along fine. It's incredibly funny to picture a 1,200-year-old war machine chatting with Alfred or Arthur and then absolutely jumping out of his skin because Matt appears out of nowhere wanting affection or is just interested in the conversation. The whole anglophone world has swallowed Alfred's or even Arthur's perspective about Matt being the milder, sweeter version of Alfred, but Gilbert's specific situational PTSD just sweating bullets gives me life. It's a kind of cruel, but Matt takes utterly too much pleasure in it.
As for before that point, the long 19th century of Anglo-German fuckery as Anglo-Saxonism and a largely German monarchy drew Britain into closer cultural ties among the elite of Germany and Prussia; Gilbert often found himself in Arthur's company. They fucked a lot, mutually griping about their children. Gilbert and Matthew met and saw each other, and I want to rewrite that ficlet where Gilbert isn't exactly clocking him when he really should be in my current timeline lol. The part from canon about how everyone sees Matt in his early life as being a menacing figure at Arthur's shoulder greatly appeals to me. The guard dog with the loyalty and obedience of the best of Arthur's hounds.
Like at least once in a group drinking setting, Francois' arse has caught and kept Arthur's attention and Matt and Gilbert find themselves at a table having a conversation and swapping stories that would have them both before the Hague if they were more recent. And they just vibe. Both men depend utterly on the goodwill of often testy and impatient brothers. There is a loneliness of having one neighbour that matches fairly well with having mostly neighbours who probably hate Gil's guts on some level and loving women who could kill them. This absolute canyon of difference in how Gilbert is relegated to the museum display case, and Matt is an active, dynamic part of the world political system that keeps them apart.

Kaaaaaat!!! Hello! It's Nori!!! I should totally be using my otome blog (Mcofthemansion) to talk about otome stuff but oh well!
KAT YOUR FICS ARE GREAT AND YOU HAVE A GREAT PORTRAYAL OF ARTHUR!!!
And I seriously won't be able to sleep at night unless I ask what is it about him specifically that you don't like???
Do you not like how flirty he is? 🤔
Is it the fear of potential cheating? Let me answer that one real quick! Because that's a passionate topic for me! 😅 So, I know before the events of the story of ikemen vampire Arthur slept with multiple women, HOWEVER! They all knew about eachother! Like in Arthur's route they even say "when will you come see us again" and stuff! It was a consensual fb situation! And once Arthur falls in love with Mc he doesn't go back to them and they are ok with that! I think Arthur is actually really loyal! Like in an abherrent incident he out of loyalty and not wanting to hurt Mc tries to wait out the bloodlust in the woods in a shack somewhere but Mc goes searching anyways!
Anyways, he's not a pick-up artist or a cheater!
So may I ask what things about him you dislike?
Is it the smugness when he wins games?
Does his backstory bother you?
I'm so sorry! I just genuinely really want to hear your opinion! If that's ok!
While I'm here, what particularly draws you to Charles and Will? I'd love to hear that as well! If you don't mind!!!
But please!!! I really wanna hear your thoughts!!!
Hope you're having a lovely day!!!
Everyone really harassing me with Arthur today. ITD FINE THO.
Also... I honestly LOVE writing Arthur... I feel like I write him well honestly
So like... I don't see Arthur being loyal. He has multiple flings at once. Multiple a week, sometimes even a day.
He doesn't take no as an answer. Being a flirt isn't the issue it's that he doesn't know when to stop. In the first chapter when he goes to bite you he doesn't take no for an answer, and Sebastian thinks he did it to distract me from running off, and he admits more than once that that isn't the reason.
Even when you clearly say that you want him to stop trying to bite you, and you are scared he doesn't stop.
His smugness would definitely piss me off if it was towards me, and his cockyness.
I just don't think he would realize his love for mc.in such a short time, while also having flings on the same time.
Even in other routes when he knows you like another guy he keeps being touchy and flirting with you, damn well knowing you don't want him. He just doesn't give up.
Calling all women "skirts" is a little off putting to me too. I get it's a nickname and I clearly have nothing wrong with hondje. But he's talking about all women in a degrading way.
I honestly don't remember much of his back story... We didn't get too much but we are getting more in his sequel, which I will be reading despite hating him.
~
Ppl will ask me why I like Charles and not Arthur...Charles understands no. He knows when to back off, he's upset about it, but he still backs down.
Charles is flirty and doesn't fully understand the meaning of love and thinks it's to just be wanted. Arthur has flings for the same reason he drinks.
Honestly I couldn't tell you what the hell I see in Will but I love him so much. He's so pretty and I want to kiss him.

I really wish I had the patience and time to write a really long au fic/fic series that centres on Ygraine - and later, as we get into the main series, the main cast - as she grows up surrounded by magic and as a dear friend to Nimueh and pretty much anyone she spends any time around, to meeting Uther and becoming queen and maybe having some of his more anti-magic rhetoric start to stick just a little bit
And then Uther is killed soon after Arthur is born by an assassination attempt done by a rogue group of mages
And then we see Ygraine's slow descent into revenge for the man that she loved (a man who's faults she continues to deny and warp after he died) as she goes after those mages and then some more rogue mages until it's almost an all out war against magic
The dragons and the dragonlords fight Camelot in an all out war which ends in Camelot winning, after which Ygraine gives Kilgarrah the "mercy" of being imprisoned rather than killed for being the only dragon not to fight (as Balinor asked him not to, for he still held friendship for Ygraine so couldn't fight her) and Balinor is exiled
Anyway, I kinda want to write this like that so that you can see her slow descent into villainy. She's still kind and she's still just (for the most part), but magic blinds her so that those who practise magic tend to get killed or imprisoned for the most minor of offenses, made out to be something terrible
Still, Nimueh stays at her side and is allowed to train her nieces, Morgana and Morgause. Nimueh is Ygraine's one weakness, for she is wilfully blind to the almost genocide the queen is creating because she loves her so dearly.
Arthur is maybe a tad kinder, a tad more patient, but he is still brash and loud and incredibly proud of his skill with a blade and for being a prince. He doesn't necessarily hate magic but he has an inherent wariness of it in strangers that his mother has instilled in him.
Morgana is far more naïve here, learning magic from her mother's sister and doesn't fully realise the prejudice that magic users suffer because it's not in the law that they can't practise magic - she doesn't realise that the air of fear and distrust makes it incredibly difficult for any magic user to openly practise and still survive because she's lived her whole life as one of the few the Queen trusts
(Ygraine knows that Morgana is Uther's daughter but that is something she is keeping to herself for later use)
Merlin arrives from Ealdor where his mother and father still live because he was growing restless and they trusted Gaius and Alice to take care of him.
The first season is a few minor antagonists (and a few extras who take the place of Nimueh) and it is Merlin keeping his magic secret due to a very natural fear that the Queen might decide he's too dangerous
The second and third seasons have Cornelius Sigan being a much more major threat, taking the place of Morgana and Morgause when minor villains can't, and being the one who eventually takes over Camelot in the S3 finale (and who throws the sleeping curse on Camelot in the S2 finale)
Nimueh is killed in the S3 finale which is the thing that finally breaks Ygraine and leads to Arthur being a stand in king and knight the knights, and all that - Ygraine's death is committed by that same group who killed Uther which fuels some of the anger and hatred in Arthur
S4 focuses on Arthur grappling with magic and what it is, with Agravaine on one shoulder telling him it's evil, and Tristan (Ygraine's brother Tristan) on the other saying that it's good which comes to a head in the S4 finale where Merlin uses magic to save the group and it's revealed
S5 would be more focused on finding ways to allow magic back into the country, while still fighting the odd fringe group of magic users who are still unhappy and a lot of not magic groups who are unhappy the crown is doing this
It ends happily though because it's a sort-of fix-it where most people live and aren't evil
But yeah, I think this would work better in a longer form fic just for the slow descent that you can't quite do in shorter form

(There will be no Midnight Club-characters, because I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it since I know that the cancellation would frustrate me to no end, if I got myself engaged to it.)
This was way harder than I thought it would be! So many others would deserve to be here as well. If you haven't seen these shows and want to avoid spoilers, stop here.
But okay, here we go...
Riley Flynn (Zach Gilford, Midnight Mass)
It tells a lot that I saw Midnight Mass for the first time just this Easter, but I couldn't imagine anyone else getting the first place. Such an underrated character. He had such a sad backstory and a kind soul...he truly did his best and helped so many people when he had every possibility to be selfish. His relationship with Erin was very special too. I guess he got his happy ending in a way, but all the possible could've beens and fix-it-fics about him that I will probably never write haunt me.
Tumblr media
2. Luke Crain (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, The Haunting Of Hill House)
I debated with myself for a long time, which Crain-twin I should put here, but Luke and his journey just moved me deeply. I'd like to write much more about him, but it would become an essay so I'll pass. It would be so inspiring to see Riley and him to have a conversation, now that I think about it. During my every single Flanagan deep-dive, I am awed how Oliver could play both Luke and Peter - such opposite characters - so believably. *standing ovation*
Tumblr media
3. Hassan Shabazz (Rahul Kohli, Midnight Mass)
I had an eeny, meeny, miny, moe whether the third prize should go to him or Owen, but I had to pick this loving father and a wonderful sheriff. In this case, I can't even fully explain why, but he just managed to stand out from the middle of all these other fantastic characters in an unique way.
Tumblr media
4. Verna (Carla Gugino, The Fall Of The House Of Usher)
I feel like I don't really even have to explain myself when it comes to this choice. Carla has always been talented and beyond, but she really exceeded herself in this role. In the wrong hands, this character could've become very corny and comical, but with her behind the wheel, there was no fear of that. I lost count how many times I got shivers, was lifting my jaw off the floor and crying while watching Verna. I almost wanted to include a gif of her and Arthur (since I love him too), but I thought it might be cheating, so...
Tumblr media
5. Hannah Grose (T'Nia Miller, The Haunting Of Bly Manor)
Okay, listen... I love Dani and Jamie, both as a couple and as individuals, and their story is very bittersweet and heartbreaking. But when I think of Bly Manor, my mind always travels first to Hannah, her relationship with Owen and to episode 5. She is amazing and deserved the world. A little restaurant in Paris, with the love of her life... Gaah, even writing about it makes me tear up!
Tumblr media
6. Tamerlane Usher (Samantha Sloyan, The Fall Of The House Of Usher)
I almost feel bad for not putting Lenore here, because she obviously was the purest one of the Ushers and didn't deserve what she got in the end. But I can't help being intrigued by Tammy and her complexity. Surely, she is far from perfect - quite a despicable human being, actually - but the episode centered around her made me feel a bit sorry and sympathetic towards her. She is my favorite Usher-sibling (Leo being a really close second) and belongs on this list. Samantha deserves way more recognition of all her roles, to be honest.
Tumblr media
Phew, I did it! *victory dance*
Anyone can participate. Let's show appreciation to this marvelous saga, pretty please.

Some news
Hello everyone!
I would like to apologize for my absence. I've been quite busy lately and haven't had time to do what I wanted to do. The request I wanted to answer is still not finished and I haven't made that much progress on chapter 4. I'm truly sorry. But now that I've got two weeks to rest ahead of me, I intend to do what I love and finish what I set out to do.
Also, I'd like to talk about the VN and everything I've done so far:
About the game:
Firstly, I've written and coded some of the first part of the game, I still have to correct it, complete it, change a few things (and I'd like to implement an inventory and level system in this game, but I don't know how yet.).
The different routes:
Wukong and Macaque: The first two chapters have been implemented in the game.
No choice yet to change the story.
Arthur (temporary name) -a tiger demon-:
Chapter 1 completed
Combat phase (in progress)
Start of chapter 2 (in progress)
M??n Wuk?ng: A hidden path which is not fully developed as yet in the game.
The tea house and sauna routes are still not finished and doesn't have yanderes yet. I think for the tea house it could be a dragon and for the sauna I really have no idea right now :')
The game will have three main paths (triggered by a choice at the start of the game):
Murderous Lust (you're with Lex and you follow the story)
Variant 1 (Lex is dead and you're working with the Facility for Mother)
Variant 2 (Lex wants you dead and you're tracked by the Facility for having betrayed Mother)
About the art:
It was a lot more complicated than I thought. First of all, I needed a furry artist at all costs (Wukong, macaque, ect… are demons with anthropomorphic designs, so a furry artist was the best option). I spent several afternoons looking for artists. On Discord, Twitter, Furafinity… It was so long and complicated. Either their style didn't match my project, or their commission were closed, or I couldn't trust them.
After a while, I found someone. I wasn't totally convinced by his style -although it was beautiful, I wasn't sure it would go well with my VN-. We started talking, he seemed interested… then nothing. With no response even after more than a week, I decided to give up and turn to another artist. So off I went again in search of an artist. Later, I found one. His style appealed to me and everything seemed okay with him. HOWEVER, there is something that I always do, I check all the artist's network. 1 - Because I like to do so and to know more about the person I can work with. 2- Because I don't want to work with a jerk. AND THIS ONE, it was a true specimen. He left hate messages on other artists' accounts and I even found homophobic messages he'd left under the account of someone who'd asked him for commissions. I ran away from this creep.
And the more I searched, the more I lost hope of finding someone for this project. Maybe I was only going to be able to make a VN without art… I didn't like that idea at all, but if I couldn't find anyone, I had no choice.
Defeatist, I gave myself one last afternoon of searching. If I still couldn't find anyone, I was going to have to make up my mind. And then I came across an artist whose style attracted me. His works were beautiful and the more I searched through his accounts, the more I liked this person.
So I went ahead and contacted him, I was so stressed about getting a negative response or no response at all. But the artist got back to me. He's a really cool guy and he draws so fucking good ijnreijnevineinzijnoznfiojfnipnlckd.
The first commission should be ordered early this month. I'm so happy to have finally found the perfect artist for the job!
----------------
One rather important question: Will there be any NSFW? After a lot of thought, yes. There will be scenes like that in the game.
Sorry again for the absence, but I'm very busy with the VN. Thanks to everyone who sends me love through questions or private messages, I love you! It really makes me feel great and I can't thanks y'all enough for that.

Prompt : "I'm not sick, I'm only slightly ill. There's a difference. I can handle today."
Warning : Injuries, Blood
Rating : 15+ (no smut)
Author Note : This was a quick ficlet that i did in one sitting. I'd like to explore the alternate story where he was Ammit's avatar but like The Moon Bois did, rather than just being her avatar in one night like in the show. The prompt was randomly generated from here.
---
One major flaw from the power Ammit had bestowed was the lack of healing ability. It was not like she didn't want to, nor she didn't care. That was just how she always had been, a keen fighter. Continuously fighting and beating down her opponent, without having or needing a chance to heal. And so was her avatar.
It was 2 am the time Arthur finally home from his duty. He was bleeding, bruised, injured. The feelings you had were mixed. Anger, sadness, worries, all into one inside you. He slumped into the sofa, not having much energy to take care of his wounds. You hurried to take warm water and some towels to clean up his wounds.
"I'm fine, my love. Those wounds would go away within days"  Of course Arthur didn't have the heart to see you worried about him, yet he can not fully lie to you.
"Sometimes I wish you would care about your injuries even just for one day." You sighed heavily while wiping the blood on his temple
He just smiled at you. His mouth showed the warmest smile, yet his eyes could no longer hide how tired he was. Penance was the perfect word to describe how he saw his wounds. But what was the point of empty punishment ?
Ammit was just staring in the corner of the room, hidden in the shadow of the unlit part. She was ruthless, that's how the Gods saw her. But there was a reason why Khonshu was the worst ennead for an Avatar, not her. Unlike the old bird, she knew the words of "enough is enough". You didn't like her that very much, but at the same time you didn't particularly hate her. You only talked to her when it was really needed, the rest was you tolerating her existence on your lover's side. She didn't say anything as she was merely an audience as you finally finished and decided to sleep on the couch, alongside already-sleeping Arthur.
You were abruptly awoken with the harsh sound of Arthur coughing, spitting mucus from his throat with blood mixed in it.
"Go to the bed now, Arthur. Enough of your avatar stuff today." Your voice was a bit firm, decisive as you wanted Arthur to obey.
"I can't. The world needed me to continue our Goddess's judgement." He was persistent with his duty, like usual.
"Listen to her, Harrow. You know well you couldn't fight with a body like this." The crocodile goddess's voice was loud, enough to startle you. At the very least she was on your side.
"I'm not sick, I'm only slightly ill. There's a difference. I can handle today." He wiped the blood trace on his mouth corner.
"Slightly ill with blood coming from your mouth? Were you doing your job or you wanted to kill yourself?" You hated every time you had to argue with him, but you had no choice.
Arthur closed his eyes for a moment, then sighed.
"Very well. I shall rest this morning, but if I'm fine in the afternoon I will continue my duty." He walked to the bedroom, limping with the cane supporting every movement of his leg.
You sat on the couch, head resting on your hands. You glanced at the goddess, eyes meeting each other. You both knew well he would insist on getting out of bed before the sun set. But what was important is that he got a proper sleep this morning.

(I finally figured out what to ask! Hopefully ill send more asks soon if you want (i don't want to overwhelm you though)
How does Edward the Incel choose his target? Like is he going to kill all women since he thinks their all bad? Does he only target the 'impure' women? Or does he get together with a girl and pretend to like them until they give him an excuse to kill them? Also do you have names for the rest of the cast?
Oh!!! Thank you so much! ^^ You absolutely don't have to, I haven't even decided if 'm officially keeping Ed XDD But I do love him, so-
He has a particular 'type', he doesn't like. Ed will be living his every day life and see a woman - she might just have passed by him on the bus, or they chatted at a coffee shop, or they even work together, - , and get a bad taste in his mouth. She's usually pretty sweet and well-liked (The more likely friends and family are to say in her murder documentary that she 'lit up a room', the more likely he is to hate her guts), probably even volunteers- he just thinks this all must be a huge pile of bullshit. No one is that perfect, no one really cares that much- be fucking real. Especially a hot girl. The fact that people can be... get this... multifacted; both pretty and good inside... is totally lost on him. It boggles his mind.
He's disgusted, but... also drawn in by her? He doesn't just want to kill her, he wants to destroy her if he can. He wants to get to know her, and if he cant find something dark living inside her- he will instil it himself. Every time that her smile falls, or she rethinks getting close with him, he feels a sick pleasure.
So yeah- Barbie type. He usually dates her or befriends her first (Lesbians are not safe just because he cant make them fall for him), has his week or two of sick, twisted fun-time (And yes, he definitely, literally gets off on giving women little complexes and self-disgust), and then kills them.
(I haven't actually fully decided- on any of this, by the way XD Just spit balling mostly! ^^ )
The other characters! ^^
Main Character- Maggie, or Mags. "Of course you're not worried about this- " *Follows Hallie out the door, waving a spoon at her* "You're a VIRGIN!!- " Final Girl- Hallie. "So I met a guy... he got me the good canned peas off the top shelf at the store cuz I couldn't reach... " *Sighssss* "... and in my mind, we've already been married 8 years- no, you cant eat these peas Mags, we can never eat them- " Old Dude #1- Rodney or Rod. "...Art- " (Arthur: "I've told you a million times not to call me that-") "- I have an idea." Old Dude #2- Arthur. *To Rodney* "Oh- no, you don't. Sit back the hell down." (Rodney: *Slowly sits down, crosses his arms and huffs- looking away*)
Again, thank you for asking! ^^ Its fun playing around with characters that are actually mine for once, haha XD

you crazy-assed cosmonaut (remember your virtue) | a god of war/titanfall 2 crossover
part 3/6:
He couldn't keep much from Atreus.
Not because they were friends, though that was part of it. Cooper had never been good at lying, and he was even less good at it when it involved family and friends. But even more than that, Atreus (and he was still getting used to thinking of Arthur by that name) seemed to have an uncanny ability to hone in on when Cooper was trying to be sneaky about something. Usually he minded his business, but…
Well, Cooper was being (badly) sneakier than usual. It'd be enough to make anyone curious.
"You know you don't have to prove anything to anyone, right?"
"Huh?" Cooper scrambled to figure out where that comment might have come from. "I mean...I guess? What are you talking about?"
"All the extra workouts. You're in perfectly good shape and everyone knows you pull your weight."
Oh. The extra workouts. Right. "Yeah, I know, just...pushing myself a bit. No sense in staying stagnant." Atreus's face was, in that moment, deeply unreadable. It made Cooper nervous. "No one said anything to me, if that's what you're worried about."
"Good, because then I'd have to kill them." Cooper couldn't tell if Atreus was joking. He was pretty sure, comments like that were usually jokes, but Atreus was protective, and something about the way he said it told Cooper that there were instances where he'd be fine with killing someone over a slight. "But seriously, don't overdo it. You're healed up, right?"
"Oh, yeah, that was nothing. Mild tissue damage." Maybe that's what that was. Their last big engagement had ended with the camp in tatters and the two of them separated. He knew Atreus felt bad about not being there to help, no matter how many times Cooper reminded him that a Titan pilot had been there. Cooper couldn't deny that the extra help in that whole mess would've been nice, but he didn't blame Atreus for not being there or anything. "They cleared me ages ago."
“But are you actually feeling better, or is this a ‘we cleared you because we need guys’ kind of deal?”
“I’m okay.” The wounds to the leg and shoulder still hurt a little, but only when he poked them. Obvious answer was not to poke them, but he couldn’t help it sometimes. It was like repeatedly looking into the fridge to see if the food fairy had brought anything, except he was repeatedly, pointlessly checking to see if it had healed fully. “How are you holding up? And don’t give me that look. I know you hate long ship deployments.”
Atreus looked like he was considering arguing the point, but ultimately… “Yeah, okay, if I don’t get to see a plant soon, I might lose my mind a little,” he admitted. “When are we landing again?”
Before Cooper could respond, he heard a familiar voice down the hallway. It took every ounce of self-control to act like he didn’t immediately recognize the individual in question. That self-control was a lot harder when the figure walked by. “Cooper,” said Captain Lastimosa with a friendly but not too familiar nod.
“Captain, sir,” Cooper said.
“Captain,” Atreus echoed. He sounded pretty neutral at first, but the second Captain Lastimosa was out of earshot, he turned to face Cooper with an eager expression. “Was that him?”
“Who?”
“The pilot, the guy you saved!”
"Okay, first of all? He did most of the heavy lifting…"
"Jack, he was in a wheelchair after that fight. You can't tell me he did most of the heavy lifting when you were the only one walking on your own when you got back."
"He did most of the heavy lifting," Cooper insisted, feeling his ears start to go red. Atreus held up both hands, backing off but definitely not buying it. "But yeah, that's him. Captain Tai Lastimosa. He's nice."
He was really nice, actually, but saying that would mean going into the thing Cooper was keeping secret, so he tried his best to keep his mouth shut beyond that.
"Seems that way. Hey, maybe since you saved his ass, he can get you into the SRS after all."
Cooper felt the blush spread down into his face. He just hoped he looked more embarrassed than alarmed. How does he...no, he doesn't know, but he does know you got turned down from the program and it would make sense to ask Captain Lastimosa for a reference…
"I don't know. Maybe." Change the subject, quick. "Why didn't you ever apply? They'd probably take you. You're one of the best fighters I've met." He wasn't saying that for the sake of flattery. It was the truth. Atreus had good aim, definitely some combat training outside of the Militia, endurance, strength...he was basically the complete package, as far as physical traits. Personality-wise, he was a bit irreverent sometimes, but they could work with that.
Despite that, Atreus shook his head. "Absolutely not. Even if people didn't think I was weird, have you seen how small those cockpits are?" Atreus gestured to himself. "I haven't been small enough to fit comfortably in there since I was a teenager."
Good point. There were taller pilots, but they were rare for that reason. Atreus had a good seven or eight inches on Cooper. It'd be a bit of a tight fit. "Fair point. I've gotta say, I can't really picture you ever being my height."
"Would you believe me if I said I was small for my age as a kid?"
"Yes, but only because that seems like a weird thing to lie about. Late bloomer?”
“Sick a lot. Sometimes I wonder if I would’ve ended up taller if I hadn’t been. Both my parents are pretty tall. Giant, even.”
He said it like it was an inside joke. Cooper thought about asking, but since the chances of Atreus explaining a family-based inside joke were roughly 50/50 (and even the explanations he did get were short), he decided to mind his own business this time. Especially since reciprocal business-minding might be the only thing keeping Cooper’s secret.
The thought was still there, though. Maybe I should tell him. Atreus certainly wasn't the only person he'd thought about confessing to, but he was the one Cooper saw the most frequently these days, which made the secret-keeping a lot harder. It wasn't like Atreus was going to rat him out or anything (he never would, definitely not), so technically there was nothing to worry about.
But it felt wrong expecting Atreus to keep a secret that big. And it didn't feel right to make that decision without consulting Captain Lastimosa (the guy who stood to lose a lot more if news of what he was doing reached the wrong ears). And since Cooper couldn't think of a good way to say hey, so, I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to keep a secret from this One Particular Person, so is it okay if I tell him, I promise he's solid, he just...kept his mouth shut. Kept the secret.
Right up until the point when he couldn't anymore.
It was, in short, one of those days. The long ship deployment had been getting to Cooper, too, making him a bit overstimulated and scatterbrained. That meant he wasn't watching where he was going or who might see him. That meant when he was slipping away from another training session that left him feeling more scatterbrained, his reaction to hearing someone approach was to freeze instead of even trying to hide.
Damn it. Damn it. No, no. Everyone knew this was the part of the ship where the pilots hung out...a rifleman, much less a random class-three like him hanging around would just attract questions...what should he say? What should he do?! What…
"Psst!"
The sharp hiss caught his attention. Cooper turned around in time to see Atreus standing behind him, as if he'd just materialized out of the ether. Cooper didn't respond verbally, just stared, but fortunately Atreus seemed to pick up the plea for help. Atreus stepped forward quickly, gesturing for Cooper to follow. He was walking towards the footsteps, but Cooper followed anyway because at least if there was two of them there was safety in numbers…
"Falið," Atreus breathed.
"What?"
"You look like you've seen a ghost," Atreus said, this time loud enough that Cooper could hear him without straining. That had nothing to do with what he'd just said, not as far as Cooper could tell...then again, maybe he'd just been swearing. Cooper wasn't immune to the urge to swear in a non-English language. "This part of the ship's not haunted, is it?"
"No, just…" Cooper swallowed hard as he caught sight of the other guy walking down the hall. He was pretty sure his name was Anderson, but he hadn't really learned the faces of the other pilots yet. "...surprised to see you here."
"Regular firing range is full. I figured they wouldn't mind if they borrowed theirs." Atreus walked past Anderson without acknowledging him—and, to Cooper's shock, Anderson did the same. He wasn't even shocked that they'd walked right past a major without any kind of respectful acknowledgment—the Militia wasn't so stuck up on rank that you had to constantly be saluting people. Regular-grade respect was fine. But not even a friendly hello? A casual Private, Major exchange? It was like Anderson hadn't seen them at all.
Not that Cooper was ungrateful, because damn, bullet dodged. But it was weird, weird in a way that made him wonder if he needed another coffee or a prolonged nap.
"...kind of mad that they get the fun moving targets, but whatever. So, uh, any reason you're back here?"
Cooper's entire face went red. "Uhm."
Atreus had a slightly gleeful look, the cat that caught the mouse smile that said maybe Cooper hadn't been as slick as he'd thought. "You don't have to say anything, just...confirm or deny, Lastimosa's been giving you a leg up?"
Damn it. He couldn't back out now. Omitting the truth was one kind of lying, but outright giving false information? Especially now? Not happening. So, Cooper nodded, despite the pang of terror that it gave him.
Atreus didn't look mad; in fact, he looked downright gleeful. "I knew it…"
"You can't tell anyone."
"I would never. And for what it's worth, I don't think anyone else has worked it out, or if they have, they don't care. I'm just exceptionally clever." He grinned at Cooper brightly. "Can I just say, I am deeply proud? My best friend, getting secret special ops training..."
"It's not that impressive."
"It is. Don't sell yourself short. Just promise you'll remember me when you're some kind of big hero."
As if that would ever happen. Even if he made SRS, Cooper wasn't sure he was hero material. "I don’t bail on friends,” Cooper said. “And besides, you’re one of the only people crazy enough to be friends with me.”
Atreus shook his head. “I wouldn’t say crazy. No one else knows what they’re missing.” He held out an arm questioningly, only turning the gesture into a one-armed hug when Cooper leaned into it. “You’re going to do great. I believe in you.”
“Thanks, buddy.”
It was good to hear. It really was.
Over time, Cooper came to realize that plenty of people knew about him and Lastimosa, but as long as he wasn’t actively disrupting anything, no one cared. It made things a little bit easier, and a little less stressful. He was still glad that Atreus was the first outsider to learn. It made things less strained between them—not that things had been especially strained, but even a small amount of strain was enough to make him feel uneasy.
Having everything back to normal felt good.

Arthur had wanted a son.
Amelia had tried to be that son for him. She'd hated when Matthew was born, thinking he would take Dad's attention away from her. She'd be swept aside, despite being his first-born.
Matthew got ignored at first, babied by Maman instead- made soft.
Arthur didn't like soft. He was all hard edges, and Amelia vowed to become stronger and stronger so she wouldn't get cut by them anymore.
But when she became a woman, it didn't matter anymore. She got ignored, just like Matthew.
She didn't quite remember how she ended up in his bed. She'd been praying to God to take her breasts away, to shrink her hips and make her the son her dad had always wanted.
"Do you really mean it?" Arthur asks, and Amelia swallows a low moan as he massages her breasts.
Amelia didn't know what he was asking at first, but she nodded anyway. "Yes, Daddy. I mean it."
That's when the pain started, like fire starting just under her navel and exploding out through her body.
"Just ride it out, poppet," Arthur purred, petting her hair. "Daddy's got you. You're okay now."
He moved down her body, kissing her nether lips before pushing his tongue in to give her a slow, hard lick upwards. She couldn't help but cry out when he reached her clit, feeling it thicken and grow longer inside his mouth.
"Daddy--" the pain kept her from being able to say more, the word mangled in her creaking voice as her vocal cords thickened.
Arthur ignored the plea, continuing to bob up and down her lengthening clit as he toyed with her lips with his nimble fingers. Her breath hitched, and soon, she couldn't think of anything as the fire reached her mind.
Memories fell away and got replaced. Amelia became Alfred, Arthur's favored son and firstborn. He'd stayed with Arthur when Maman divorced him, while Matthew went with her. Alfred had been sad to lose touch with his brother but had only grown closer to his father, soon discovering feelings he knew shouldn't be intertwining with love between a father and son.
One kiss that lingered just a little too long soon became two, and now here Alfred was in his father's bed, eyes closed and heart beating fast. He was getting so close now, but before he could cum, Arthur stopped and pet the side of Alfred's face to make him look at him.
"Is this alright?" He asked, genuine concern in his choice.
Adam's apple bobbing as he nervously swallowed, Alfred gave a shaky nod. "Yes..."
Arthur smiled and kissed his son gently on the lips. Alfred could taste his precum on Arthur's tongue and leaned in, hungry for Arthur to make him his, fully and truly.
Seeming to sense this, Arthur chuckled into the kiss and pulled away, telling Alfred to lie down and relax when the younger man whined.
Soon, after a bit of teasing with a toy to make sure Alfred was relaxed and ready, Arthur was inside, stopping when Alfred’s breath hitched.
"Let me know when you're ready, my dearest," Arthur said, and Alfred took a few breaths and said he was ready.
Arthur went slow at first, laughing when Alfred urged him faster, harder.
Alfred came first, and Arthur instructed him though how to suck him off, so Arthur could finish, too.
"Swallow," Arthur ordered, almost growling, and Alfred followed the order without a second thought. "Good boy. Let's clean up now. You can get more love tomorrow."
He kissed Alfred on the forehead, and Alfred nodded, smiling tiredly, washing, dressing, and going to bed exactly as ordered.
Missing posters for Amelia went up a week later. Alfred never saw them, never having reason to leave the house. Arthur's words were his thoughts, and he never felt any reason to disobey him or leave his side.

Those harry potter questions are so cool! How about descendo for everyone?
Descendo: What’s been a low point in your life?
Arthur
"I-" his voice cracks. He doesn't look away, but his eyes darken under and endlessly painful sense of desperation. And yet there is a smile on his lips, barely there and so very strained, but enough to let you see how heartbroken and resigned he is.
"You will never look at me the same way when I will tell you."
Evaine
"There was this person" they can't look you in the eyes while they talk "that promised me the world. Most of all, they promised me security and the semblance of a family."
Evaine's gaze is lost, their eyes glassy. "I ended up trusting them."
They wipe away a couple of silent tears, letting out a humorless chouckle "well, I shouldn't have, because they managed to destroy my self worth like no one ever before, and I've met a lot of cruel people in my life."
Yniol
"It probably might sound absurd to you, but there was a time when I wished I could stop being a knight."
They are ashamed of it, you realize.
"I wish it would all stop. All of it. For a few months, I was nothing but an empty shell. It was terrifying."
Morien
"I haven't talked about this with anyone" they start with a rough voice that is colder than usual "because I'm convinced it won't bring me any kind of peace."
They resume their pacing, the sound of their cane on the marble accompaining their heavy steps.
"But I have to find closure."
They meet your gaze with the implicit knowledge that they are doing this because they trust you. Fully.
"Well, it started years ago, when I was training under the previous physician."
Their tale is gruesome and leaves you sick with horror and rage.
Gwyar
"I think I've never told you why I've left home in the first place."
They curl their fingers protectively on their forearms, changing their entire posture to appear even smaller.
"I loved and hated my parents. Most of all, I hated how they had an image of me that wasn't really similar to the person I had become. The pressure became too much and I just... left, because I couldn't bear the hope and disappointment in their eyes. The last straw was the day of my ninteenth birthday..."
When they finish talking they are in your arms, cradled in a long deserved hug you wish you could have given them before.

We Happy Few

Some We Happy Few screenshots I have without UI. I have plenty others with details or scenery or cutscenes but I didnt remove the UI beforehand so they're not as pretty to share.
Anyway, replaying We Happy Few. I'll be honest 1st time I played it wasn't even out yet but I finished the 3 main chapters back then. Now I'm replaying, still in Arthur's chapter, but understanding so much more now that I'm older. A bit confusing though, not the story, my feelings. I remember the big reveal at the end of Arthur's chapter, but not fully, and now I understand what went on before better, but it's frustrating while I'm playing him and remembering Percy, but Arthur was just a child, but he was a massive ass if I remember right, but still I don't know. Great story of course, having mixed feelings and being forced to think about it makes it even better, can't wait to rewatch the final to settle down this confusion a bit, or at least understand better.
I really like the detail of Prudence's 'Welcome Back' sign becoming 'Come Back'. Sorry, she went on vacation! That's another cool thing, I can sometimes find notes from Prudence and follow a bit of her trail, wonder if I'll find her in this playthrough, maybe I did last time and didn't pay attention or maybe it's just a cool thing to be on the look out for and understand better other people's lives in this place. Oh also the kids won't come back either huh
Percy deserved better. As I watch more and more memories it's becoming clear he probably had autism or something of the sort, I'm not sure of the classification of those things, but I also see how alike him I was as a kid and maybe sometimes nowadays. I completely understand his thoughts and frustrations even with 'jambled' dialogue, and now I can see the perspective of others, specially his brother. It's freaky in my brain ahah
Another thing that frustrates me is that I know the ending, but I shouldn't and it's afecting my prespective now, but it shouldn't. Kind of regret playing this when I couldn't fully understand it, I can definetly look for new things in this playthrough, but knowing the ending from back when I didn't understand the backstory as well is messing with it.
I love that we get to explore this environment and see Arthur's development, and remember what came before. I keep going back to Percy because I think their relashionship is well represented, I've had many conversations with my brother like Arthur had with Percy. That helps with creating my confusion I think, what would have happened if it was my brother and I in those situations? We have a strong bond, I love to see good siblinghood in media when the stereotype seems to be siblings hate each other. Arthur doesn't hate Percy, far from it, they seem to have a strong bond too, even with Arthur being a bit of an ass sometimes, I guess I can understand his frustration too. Either way it's very cool to see this relashionship through memory and what we currently know of one of the brothers. Their parents too. We know little of them, but the father has had some dialogue in the memories, the mother in game as I showed.
There might be more but I haven't finished this playthrough yet and I know the game has been changed since then. I've played some missions that didn't exist back then if I remember right, but hey I payed for it this time! Steam's christmas sale, glad I did it. I definetly have plenty of thoughts on this game but for now I think I'll keep them until I finish this chapter and maybe then if I have more pretty screenshots I vent a bit more.
