Being in touch with your sensuality:
On today's episode of ash-says we are going to talk about how to get in touch with your sensuality. Personally it's something I am very passionate about and kind of indulgent too.
Sensuality helps me in feeling alive and in tune with myself. I can't guarantee it for everyone but for me it works wonders. It's like the "Amrut" or "rejuvenating water" (for a lack of better terms) for me. Along with that it's the most healthy way for expressing my sexuality and keeping it in control to not let it affect my day to day functioning.
Here are some ways I incorporated in the last five years of my life to be in touch with my sensuality:
1) Exercise: No matter what I am going to vouch for this always. The way it helps me in expressing the surplus energy and controlling my desires is a chef's kiss. Plus helps in tackling the sluggish feeling.
2) Dance: Especially the slow sensual seductive dance. Not only it's a good outlet but above all that it validates the emotions and creates a space to delve in it to create a beautiful synchronisation with the body movements.
3) Art: Create! Create! Create! Nothing better than creating beautiful art or writing poems, stories, etc to voice your passion for the world and it's offerings.
4) Music: I have playlists on Spotify that specifically cater to my sensual mood. It has all the songs that can set a tone for the bedroom (iykyk). Singing to it or dancing works wonders. It's a magical experience.
5) Meditation: You can meditate on those feelings to internalize it and put all that energy in proper use for achieving a goal, etc. This is something I very rarely do because I am a very active person but putting it out here cause it works for some people.
6)Play Barbie: This is my personal favourite. After all I am just a girl. I put on some makeup, wear a bold sexy outfit or a cute dress (depending on the mood) then spend my time reading a romance novel and listening to sensual songs. It's my kind of therapy🦋🦋
7) Be a model: Being all dressed up but not clicking any photos you got to be kidding me!!! Come on girl! Pose and click! You are not going to be this young again. The best thing I do is this. It literally helps in skyrocketing my confidence. I don't click pictures daily but boy when I do, God forbid!!
8) Unlearn the shame: The basic one. You need to own your body first and appreciate it. I know saying is easy but hey you won't get there if you never start.
9) Imitate things that you find sexy: I will explain this with an example, so I find laying on the bed on my chest with my legs dangling in the air extremely sexy so when I am alone I will lie on the bed in that way as a way of expressing. Secondly, we all know sipping wine while reading a book is incredibly sexy while being dressed all slutty but I don't consume alcoholic beverages so as an alternative I drink pomegranate juice. Plus I find pomegranate as the sexiest fruit for obvious reasons.
10) Invest in things that make you feel sensual and seductive: It doesn't need to be costly. Find your sexy and invest!! For me it's aroma candles, jewellery, deep neck tops, skirts, ribbons, art honestly I have developed a knack to turn any ordinary thing into something seductive atp I feel. Everything works for me. So exploreeee!! If you are experimental enough and don't have parental risks you can try out sex toys too.
That's all for today's show on ash-says. Stay tuned for more illegal tricks and explosive opinions.

Flavour
@prongsfoot-microfic @amrut-aa
James is aware that he is making a spectacle of himself. He had opted for both short shorts and a crop top today. His left football sock is sitting firmly on his knee, but the right one has artfully slid down. His brand new aviators aren't all that thick, even with his dioptres, and he is very sure that the cherry flavored lollipop is staining his lips. In front of his teammates he was able to play off the love bite on his inner thigh as a bruise from training, but Sirius should be well aware what really caused it.
James shoulders his trainings bag and bids his teammates goodbye, fully aware that sirius will be already waiting for him outside the training center. James bounds outside, the training not nearly enough to tire him out. If anything it had given him more energy.
The sun bites into his eyes, despite his shades, but it's nothing to the sight of Sirius. Leant against his sleek Bentley, smoking, in black clothes that could be painted onto him. He is a piece of art, the strands of his hair that have fallen out of his bun manage to somehow still move with wind that is not existent for the rest of the world. His full lips form into a flawless o-shape for smoke rings, even as he eyes James. His eyes rest on the bruised thigh for a moment, before they find James' eyes, and Sirius' expression melts into this world-ending, blinding smile of his. Small, cherry flavoured shards scatter in James' mouth - he must have bitten down on his lollipop.
Sirius, the very reason James wants to make a spectacle of himself. He loves to work him up. Sirius, whose expression typically ranges from haughty to bored unless he finds something to truly engage him. With his grandiose ideas, sharp mind, and the most biteable arse the World has ever seen... James bounds up to him and they share a very heterosexual, very manly hug. James has a hard time not to bite into the free shoulder Sirius presents to him like it's nothing, and then has to scramble quickly into the passanger seat, just to hide his hard on from what Sirius whispered into his ear: "that bruise on your thigh looks lonely. I'll make sure there will be more to keep it company"
Whatever sweat James had broken into in training, it's nothing against the drive back to their flat, with Sirius' hand on his thigh, absentmindedly stroking and petting it while driving. Driving the car, and James mad in the meantime.

Amrit Park will become a historical park, and statues of the great men of Sagar will installed.
In a significant development, Mayor Abhay Dare has assured the citizens of Sagar that Amrit Park, currently under construction on the banks of a small pond, will be transformed into a historical park. This transformation comes in response to the demands put forth by the Sagar Adhikar Manch and senior social workers. The park,
spanning 9 acres and funded under the AMRUT scheme of the Central Government, is set to showcase the cultural essence and historical significance of the region.
The Mayor's assurance includes the installation of statues depicting the great men of Sagar, emphasizing the city's rich history and culture. This commitment follows a meeting between Mayor Abhay Dare, officials, and members of the Sagar Adhikar Manch, where various proposals were discussed to enhance the park's historical value.
One of the key features of the park will be the allocation of one acre for the installation of murals showcasing Bundeli traditions, the history of the freedom struggle, and statues paying homage to prominent litterateurs, historians, and social workers. These installations aim to create an immersive experience for visitors, highlighting the cultural, literary, and social contributions of the region.
Amrit Park, funded at a considerable cost under the Amrit Yojana of the Central Government, is slated to become a historical treasure trove. Alongside statues, the park will feature maps depicting the geographical landscape, including rivers, mountains, forests, and groves. These additions are in direct response to the demands articulated by the Sagar Adhikar Manch.
Mayor Abhay Dare, acknowledging the constructive suggestions put forth by the organization, presented the proposal during the Mayor-in-Council meeting. The members of the council unanimously agreed to allocate one acre for statues in Amrit Park, signifying a significant step toward preserving and promoting Sagar's rich heritage.
During the discussions, Mayor Abhay Dare proposed that all statues of great men be centralized in one location within the park. This suggestion received approval from the organization members and was subsequently endorsed during the Mayor-in-Council meeting. The decision reflects a collaborative effort between the municipal authorities and the citizens' group to create a cohesive and impactful representation of Sagar's historical legacy.
Importantly, Mayor Abhay Dare confirmed that the cost of installing the statues will be borne by the Sagar Adhikar Manch and the Activity Organization. This underscores the community's active participation and commitment to preserving the city's heritage.
The transformation of Amrit Park into a historical haven aligns with the broader vision of the municipal authorities to create a state-of-the-art recreational space. The park, anticipated to cost around Rs 4 crore, will boast amenities such as a swimming pool, jogging track, Ayurvedic Kadha canteen, open gym, changing room, cycling facilities, and a musical fountain.
Conclusion
The evolution of Amrit Park into a historical landmark stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit between the municipal administration and the active citizenry. This endeavor not only enhances the recreational offerings in Sagar but also immortalizes the city's cultural and historical heritage for generations to come.

Handloom Sarees- An Ode to the Indian Heritage
When it comes to handloom sarees, it’s always a wonder to me how every piece of saree often tells a tale. A tale of the rich and royal heritage of India. Handloom sarees are the traditional textile art of India. Its origin traces back to the Indus Valley Civilization. However, over the years, the designs and process of making handloom sarees have evolved and undergone a lot of variations in colours and designs. Travelling across cultures, timelessly, handloom sarees still remains the oldest, most aesthetic and the only existing unstitched apparel from the past.
Unlike machine-made sarees, the beauty of these sarees lies in the traditional method of handloom weaving, which involves a stage-by-stage process of dyeing, warping, sizing, attaching warp and weft weaving by local handloom artisans. But nowadays, handloom sarees are preferred for more than just that. They are not only artisanal but also sustainable and eco-friendly. Most handloom fabrics are made with natural fibres that are less harmful for the environment and more eco-friendly. And less machines means lesser carbon footprints. Also, this process involves local artisans and a community of skilled handloom weavers, which promotes local artistry and helps provide employment to these local artisans.
Some of the well-known Indian handloom sarees are Kanchipuram Pure Silk Sarees from Tamil Nadu, Banarasi Sarees from Banaras, Paithani Sarees from Maharashtra, Tussar Silk Sarees from Baghalpur, Bandhani Sarees from Gujarat and Rajasthan, Ikat Sarees from Odisha, etc. Most of the handloom sarees are made from cotton and silk.
Tumblr media
Why are Handloom Sarees Expensive?
Handloom Sarees are probably the most expensive sarees and that’s because it involves a great deal of artistry that’s put in each piece of fabric. Above all, the amount of time and efforts taken by these local artisans and weavers to make these masterpieces are simply unparalleled.
The best part about these Sarees is that they’re extremely light and soft and almost feels like feather on your skin. You can tell the difference between handloom and machine-made sarees just by the way it feels on your skin. These sarees can be expensive, but they’re one of a kind. They’re also super durable and can sustain through decades. Ever wondered how your mother still has the 20 year old handwoven wedding saree still in her wardrobe, with all its shine and aesthetic glory. Handloom Sarees are truly like fine wine. They never age, they only look better with time.
Tumblr media

A Love Poem To My Spirit
My magic sparks.
It sparks right under my skin when I sit still and through my muscles when I move. It bursts like lightning at my fingertips every time I pop my knuckles and flashes behind my eyelids every time I blink. It crackles through the air with every word I utter and fizzles over every surface I touch.
It makes me want to peel my skin off, to take off my outermost layer and show what I am on the inside.
I want to rip off the exoskeleton that is my public persona and throw it away, so I can expose the soft meat of the real me; the me that laughs at dark jokes and silly jokes alike, that wears the darkest black and adores the softest blue, that can't remember the last time she said I love you but still kisses her sister's cheek every day because yes I do love her.
My magic sparks.
It is a lightning storm whenever I have a new idea— flashing here and there and everywhere as I rush around bringing that idea to life.
It is soft and soothing when I wrap my sister in a hug, bright and playful when I hit her and run off to make her chase after me. It burns my tongue when I speak harsh words, and warms my skin when I run my fingers over my stretch marks. It brightens the day when I smile, and darkens the sky when I cry. It makes my eyes sparkle and my hair silky, my art beautiful and my words poetry. It is what gives me strength, patience, ambition and compassion, and it is my magic.
Mine to hold and mine to cherish, mine to love and mine to help me grow.
My magic sparks, and I am in love with it.
