Zionists want you to conflate Judaism and Zionism. Zionists want you to believe that Judaism cannot exist without Zionism and that all Jews are Zionists. Zionism would have Jews believe that a Jewish state is the only way that they can be safe from antisemitism and will point to any instance of antisemitism as proof that Zionism is the solution- so Zionism wants gentiles to be antisemitic in their support of Palestine. They want you to conflate all Jews with Zionism and the state of Israel, and they want you to treat all Jews regardless of political affiliation as the face of Israel. Antizionist Jews exist, and incidences of antisemitism ostensibly acting against Zionism will not help dismantle the forces propping Zionism up.
if i was the cast of 911, i would blow up fox headquarters btw. as a little treat. like fuck them forever. fuck you fuck you fuck you, you bitches NEVER deserved them. you never deserved these characters, you never deserved these stories, and you sure as SHIT never deserved ryan, jen, oliver, kenny, peter, angela and aisha. fuck you forever i hope your shitty racist conservative ass station goes up in flames and that every single exec that stood in the way of telling these stories, or letting these characters/actors exist and breathe in a way that feels comfortable and natural to them, either steps on a lego or can't drink water without it having a weird aftertaste for the rest of their lives. go to hell. i will write you a ticket myself. ugly ass bitches.
I feel like we as a fandom had a lot of this conversation during Campaign 2 but redemption, however you may interpret it, is a process. It is not a binary of redeemed and not redeemed. And in the world of a D&D actual play, a lot of the hard decisions really come down to "is the harm this person did actively ongoing, or is it a past action with ongoing ramifications" and "will they stop doing this continued harm quickly enough for it to matter." It sounds cold to say that it's a risk-benefit analysis, but on some level, it has to be be. I think Bor'Dor was likely redeemable in some abstract sense, but could Team Issylra do it with the time and resources they had without risking their own lives? Probably not. I think the same is true with Liliana: if they had months in which to do this - and they have been contacting her on and off for a couple months, and every effort failed - maybe, but the clock's run out.
I.. i just rewatched the love you want video because i needed exact reference for the sword.. and it only reached my brain that Vessel has a fucking wakizashi in it, not a katana or a tachi. He uses a fucking wakizashi you guys. That fuckin man.. arrrrggghhhh. It's infuriating -in the best way possible- how much attention to detail can be there with this collective. It's a backup weapon for close quarters and mainly beheading opponents. Which he tries to do btw with the dancers. BUT ALSO for harakiri sometimes. WHAT HE IS FORCED TO DO BEFORE THE LOOP BEGINS ANEW. HOW HAVE I MISSED THIS ALL THIS TIME.
Why do a solid 7% of wordle players use "adieu" as their opening word. It's coward behavior. It has no personality. It's unoriginal. It's not even a strong opening word. It will rarely if ever tell you where the vowels go, which means it's useless considering you already know there will be a vowel or two involved, and there are only five to choose from. I don't even think it should count as a word for this purpose because it's not even really a loan word. It's fucking French.
The racism in TMNT is a massive problem, not just looking at Splinter (and if I get started on the fandom we would be here for a while). There’s a side character in Rise, Hypno-Potamus, who is a whole mess of stereotypes about Romani people (his human design especially is a nightmare and as someone who is mixed Romani they really could’ve done better. They also could’ve done worse but I digress.) But yeah, just felt the need to point that out since no one else has and seeing you speak on the racism in TMNT reminded me of it. Hope you have a wonderful evening.
NO GENUINELY WITH HYPNO I THINK ABOUT THAT ALL TIME. it's something that always turns me off from his character because they had No Reason to base him off of Romani stereotypes. They could have just made him a funky magician and it would have changed nothing, but they just Had To Do something racist. What was the point??
And it just loops back around to all this other racist shit that tmnt can get away with, just because it's tmnt. Like on a meta level, WHERE ARE THE JAPANESE ARTISTS. Where are the Japanese show runners and voice actors, why is there so little connection to Japanese culture when Ninja is IN THE DAMN NAME. It feels like there's NOTHING being done to try and move away from the orientalist, westernization of their Japanese heritage. Fuck, MUTANT MAYHEM WAS ENTIRELY ABOUT THAT. The only reason they had any attachment to Asia was through western pop culture and movies.
Something that just, god it makes my blood fucking boil, is how the only tmnt media that tried to remedy this, from the beginning, was ROTTMNT. (And there are still! So many racism issues! Ghost Bear's entire character (WTF), Hypno's design. So much other shit.) The show which is largely hailed as the worst iteration. And I am so terrified for what that means for the way Japanese culture is treated in the future of tmnt.
EMRYS TARIAN. human, acolyte, paladin, oath of devotion & follower of tyr.
born to peasants in a village a ways outside baldur's gate, emrys was sent as a child to be raised under the priests of tyr at a nearby temple. intended to become a cleric, there she studied law, history, religion, and martial skills. at the age of eighteen, she was sent to further her education in baldur's gate. she returned home to find her home in flames, & the last of raiders pillaging the small village. there, she swore an oath, promising to uphold the tenets of tyr and her oath, of justice, honor, loyalty, if he give her the power to smite down the ones who ransacked her home. ever since then she's upheld her oath, though she feels the ever-present stirrings of rage inside her. impulses toward violence, deception, and uncharitableness take hold of her in low moments, and she feels her faith faltering with every instance of mortal cruelty she comes across in her journey. she directs her anger toward those she feels deserve it most, and tries to adhere to the ideas of the greater good, though it's only a matter of time before she slips.

Seriously, don’t read this if you are planning to read Ao no Flag. That being said, go read the manga now!!
Finally finished reading Ao no Flag and I have so many feelings. Non-coherent, rambly, messy feelings. I was looking at reactions online and what mainly boggles me about the reactions to the final 2 chapters is people being “how is Taichi suddenly gay??” My friend living on this big planet he never was (he’s bi). He most likely just realized it later in life. Did the events of his 3rd HS year help him figure it out? Heck yes. Is he suddenly bi? No.
Not all queer people pop out into this world and instantly know they are queer. Heck, it took me 23 years to figure that out. It’s not like Taichi instantly realized he likes Touma and started dating him. He knew Touma mattered to him somehow, but it took him multiple years to realize how, as evident by him maybe starting his relationship with Touma after 5 years when Touma contacted them all. He gained life experience and grew.
People go through a lot of learning, unlearning and growing. Especially if you are outside of societal expectations and norms. Taichi grew up learning to and wanting to blend in with society. “Be normal, don’t stand out too much”. Add to that low self-confidence and you feel stuck. Feel like there is only black and white. only one right answer to life. It can be very difficult to look out of this dark box, trust me, I had a tough time and sometimes still do. But it feels like Taichi thought and thought and pondered even back in high school and came to the decisions that he did.
And isn’t that what the series is about? growing as a person, making mistakes, learning, allowing yourself to be visible and vulnerable, and eventually, making choices, even if they don’t make sense to anyone else, and continuing to do so?
These two pages really hit me hard and I was wondering why. And then it hit me. This is possibly the happiest I’ve seen Taichi be since his childhood. Like genuinely happy. He’s reached max happiness points and is sharing those with Touma. He’s made his choices, and he’s happy. You can and are allowed to choose what or who makes you happy.
