Zionists want you to conflate Judaism and Zionism. Zionists want you to believe that Judaism cannot exist without Zionism and that all Jews are Zionists. Zionism would have Jews believe that a Jewish state is the only way that they can be safe from antisemitism and will point to any instance of antisemitism as proof that Zionism is the solution- so Zionism wants gentiles to be antisemitic in their support of Palestine. They want you to conflate all Jews with Zionism and the state of Israel, and they want you to treat all Jews regardless of political affiliation as the face of Israel. Antizionist Jews exist, and incidences of antisemitism ostensibly acting against Zionism will not help dismantle the forces propping Zionism up.
Don't do their work for them.
#red rambles#viva palestina#antizionism#i haven't actually seen a lot of antisemitism personally. not recently anyway. but that's more a feature of me not following antisemites#i DO however see a lot of people talking about the people they're seeing throw their support behind antisemites using palestine#as an excuse to conflate all jews with israel#and i cannot stress enough that that is literally what israel and zionist forces abroad WANT.#i am jewish. my entire family is jewish. i want to see palestine free. and i have SEEN how the jewish community gets conflated with israel#both from the inside and out#and i am dead serious when i say that every time someone is antisemitic it strengthens the conviction from people abroad#that it's a terrible sad situation but there's 'no other choice'#if you're being antisemitic you are doing the enemy's work for them. Stop it.#like... look. i am putting this in the tags bc im talking in the tags but i mean this. I do not give a single flying fuck if you personally#are a giant raging antisemite at the moment. Your personal beliefs are your problem and not mine. I do not fucking care. But if you are#being openly and loudly antisemitic *in your support of palestine* you are absolutely not fucking helping. I am so dead serious right now#if you want to raise awareness and you're being antisemitic because of deep held beliefs or whatever i want you to look around and read the#fucking room. Do you understand how much of Israel's international support comes from the idea that they are the only country where jews ar#safe from antisemitism? do you see how every time palestine comes up people point at incidences of antisemitism in anti-genocide actions to#discredit the entire movement? do you not understand how your actions are cutting the movement down at the knees?#i'm jewish and proud of it. i don't like antisemitism. but there's a genocide on and i'd rather work against it than quibble over who i#work alongside. i dont fucking care. you can be as antisemitic as you like in private. stop fucking the movement up.#there are bigger things to worry about here. if i can put aside my own concerns as to who i'm talking to you can hold your tongue#and fight the good fight instead of handing weapons to the people who are trying to fucking flatten gaza.

i absolutely cannot believe people are trying to start discourse about whether nex benedict was actually nonbinary / whether it was okay for him to describe himself as nonbinary to some people if he didn’t actually identify that way as if he isn’t literally DEAD because he was KILLED. this is a MURDERED CHILD and these monsters are so busy getting mad at the possibility that he might have been a trans boy who described himself as nonbinary to his family because that was easier for them to take that they’re turning a CHILD who was MURDERED into fucking discourse. even when we die at the hands of cis people’s violence, our own community finds a way to make us the villains of the story.
and all of this bullshit on top of the ways that cis people are already trying to say our grief over his death is unjustified. all of this on top of people claiming he wasn’t murdered and speculating on other causes of death (i literally saw someone say he “clearly went home and took the coward’s way out” and i have never been more disgusted) or claiming that he started the fight as if any action on his part could’ve been enough to justify his death. i am haunted by the sound of his father screaming that his child was not filth because that is what people have been saying about this poor kid, that’s how cruelly his memory is being treated, and even the trans community can’t get it’s shit together enough to look past the stupid discourse and see the tragedy in front of us. did you all forget that it was supposed to be up to us to grieve him in the way he deserves when the rest of the world fails to care if people like him live or die? did you all forget that this child was our sibling, the future of our community, a life that we should have had the chance to know and treasure while he was still here but that we now have a responsibility to hold close to our hearts in his absence? nex’s life was precious and it was ended far too soon and if you truly believe that anything is more important than mourning his life and fighting for a world where no more trans people have to meet such an awful fate, you’re a traitor to this community and you do not deserve the place you occupy within it.
i’m so tired. i can’t even imagine how tired his family must be, to see the public treat the child they’re grieving so horribly, to see the world fail their baby again. leave him alone. he was already robbed of peace in life; the least you can do is let him finally have it in death.

I’ve seen a few K@taang fans say that Aang telling Katara to forgive Yon Rha in The Southern Raiders is a parallel to Katara helping Aang leave the Avatar State. I really don’t like this take, for a simple reason:
The Avatar State is a supernatural uncontrollable rage. Katara’s anger is not.
On multiple occasions, Aang states that he regrets his actions while in the Avatar state, and he doesn’t like feeling out of control in that way. We even see his rational spirit’s reaction to the Avatar State when it detaches from Aang’s body to speak to Roku in “The Avatar State”.
Tumblr media
Aang wants to be stopped when he is in this state. When Katara reaches out to him, she is not trying to change his mind, she is trying to allow his rational mind to regain control. She is giving him agency, not denying him agency.
By contrast, while Katara is angry in The Southern Raiders, we’re never told that her rational faculties aren’t still operational. She’s determined. Not possessed.
Tumblr media
At no point does Katara say that she regrets acting in anger. Instead, we see her exercise judgement and mercy even when face to face with the man she saw kill her mother.
Tumblr media
This is not someone who is out of control.
(Not that she necessarily would have been out of control if she did kill him.)
The fact that Katara wasn’t out of control and didn’t need to be stopped is further reinforced by the fact that, unlike Aang who agonises over his actions in the Avatar State after the fact, Katara doesn’t express regret at her actions or relief that she didn’t kill Yon Rha. Instead she re-states her initial position that she will not forgive him.
All of this makes Katara’s anger at Yon Rha very different from the Avatar State. She is in control of her actions and does not want or need to be stopped. Trying to stop her isn’t helping to reassert her own control over her actions, it’s questioning her active decisions. It’s denying her agency instead of enabling it.
An emotional woman is not the same thing as an irrational or out of control one.

Were we all traumatised by shifttok or 😭😭 ?? I keep seeing blog posts about loving shiftblr (me too tbh) and being grateful they made the switch. I get that people over there are really judgemental and police what you can and can not script, but OMFG 💀
Is it THAT bad ?? I was never on shifttok, so I have no idea what yall went through. I was thinking about venturing over there, but now I'll probably just stay in the safety of shiftblr. Yall are our strongest soldiers

Paraphilia Education Time!
Just seen a blog spreading just a tiny bit of misinformation and I’m going to correct it.
When paraphiles say that they are proud of their attraction(s) most of what the community is talking about being proud of themselves for surviving in a world that hates us.
Paraphilias are sexualities (or sexual orientation) and not illnesses because if there’s no distress, guilty feelings towards it, shameful of it or anxious about it then it’s not an illness. Proof? The DSM-5 on page 697 (there’s more proof but that’s the biggest one to this point)
The term MAP was actually coined by B4U-ACT since there’s 4 different minor attractions.
Paraphilia therapists will advise that paraphiles find a community that spreads positivity and is anti contact and non offending.
Professionals say that it’s important for paraphiles to feel neutral about their attraction(s) because feeling negative about it will actually put them more at risk to offend so feeling neutral is the best thing for us.

blah blah something something about how fandom gravitate towards more individualistic characters because they’re easier to understand compared to community-oriented characters whose character development is very much tied to their culture/nation because understanding a single character is easier to understand than a character AND an entire culture, especially when said culture is based off a marginalized community that exists in real life 🫠 and said fandom is majority WHITE.

pspspspspsps transintersex people
hi, hello, im looking at you
i have some words to say
you are not invalid in your intersex identity if you dont specify what "condition" you are transitioning to. you are not invalid in your intersex identity if you dont know what "condition" you are transitioning to. you are not invalid for identifying as "just intersex" without any condition in mind.
antis know damn well they would not ask a cisintersex person about their "condition", so they have no right to question transintersex people about it.
as a cisintersex person, i feel so much safer around transintersex people than i ever will with people who force the divide between perisex and intersex, and i know of other intersex beings who would agree.
i love you, transintersex folk /p

hey just an idea/note for other systems out there
if youre worried about tagging stuff with system tags bc the post isnt directly related to system things, but you still want other systems to find your posts and interact with you etc etc
use the community tags for those posts!!
#did community, #system community, #sysblr, #plural community, #osdd community, etc etc etc!
that way its about being a community and not clogging the system content related tags!!

“people who present hyperfemininely but repeatedly point out the fact that they’re men are transphobic” i just KNOW these people are incapable of being normal about feminine and non-passing trans men.
i feel like the venn diagram of “people who get upset at other people for looking too much like women while still openly identifying as men” and “people who called us trenders back in the day and now spend their free time shitting on trans men who use the women’s bathroom for safety or talk about how being raised as girls affects us or talk about experiencing misogyny or consider our attraction to women sapphic or call ourselves femboys or are multigender and also women or…” has to be a circle.
i could not care less about a twitch streamer i don’t watch or the discourse surrounding them, but i do start caring when i see the discourse descend into a bunch of trans people calling gender nonconformity transphobic and saying people who look like women aren’t allowed to assert their identity as men.

hi gallabitches (fond),
i am feeling very sappy as kinktober is halfway over & i continue to sit it out this year due to health & work-load & brain blips. so i just wanted to name an emotional experience i'm having because maybe you're having it too?
things are changing around here. things have changed. interests, time, desires, energy levels, schedules, lives have changed. the bubble that was 2020-2022? 23? has burst for real. people have moved on. that is ok. this is ok. this is life. (woof!) but it's that last one that's been getting to me lately -- the people.
this fandom is so special & there's something really loving about the people that are drawn to this space. my god, the talented, warm, big-hearted, nurturing, genius, creative, expansive, vulnerable, perfectly made people that find their way here!! & all because we happen to love these two fucked-up, growing, frustrating, devoted, horny, idiot felons and soulmates so deeply we want to fucking scream about it on tumblr dot com. my best friends are here.
so yes, what's happened/is happening is sad. i am Sad about it! & also the people keep coming! there's been this new wave of incredible, talented, lovely people who have showed up to take the unhinged baton & do their own lap around the windy city. that is the cycle! it's delightful! my sweet fresh danny devitos, i love your work!! & the best news is i/you/we don't have to fucking go anywhere at all! we can write & make & scream & lose our goddamn minds over these fools for a lifetime. i'm certainly not done. just switching up the pace.
but if you're someone who's moved on or is moving on, go, go, go & may you let love lead you to your next soft place to land. thank you for being such a huge part of my life for the past few years. what we all created together is nothing short of a miracle. thank you. i love you. thank you. ALSO SHOW BACK UP ON MY DASH AT ANYTIME. STAY IN TOUCH. TELL ME YOU ARE SAFE. I AM WORRIED ABOUT YO--
i love this place. thank you to the pals who are feeding us so good this kinktober. community makes me emotional!!!!!!

I think half of the reason that Snape is so popular is that he's a canon redeemed villain...the other half is that he's allowed to be bitter and petty against the people who hurt him.
I agree.
I think (maybe it’s just my personal experience, idk) Snape gave us what we couldn’t get in real life. Snaters are prime examples of people who tell victims of abuse to
• “get over it”
• Because “it wasn’t that bad”
• “But you did *this* so in my eyes they did a Justice”
• And “what exactly did you do before that happened? That’s why it happened to you”
• And let’s not forget that “being angry and impacted long term by the actions of others (AND their lack of consequences) isn’t called trauma, it’s called “holding grudges” and that’s childish”
For us, it was a damn statement that he held on to that shit. It was relatable that it affected him well into his adulthood and that he didn’t tolerate anyone telling him to do and feel otherwise. The books, whether Snaters want to admit it or not, laid it out: he was valid for hating them.
Even Harry saw the bullshit after he witnessed swm
And, like we see with Snape, trauma is villainous apparently. Because how dare what we went through negatively shape our thoughts, feelings, and perspectives? How dare our trauma force us to put up a wall around ourselves and become cold and unlikable as protection? How dare we do stupid things in hopes we’d be accepted SOMEWHERE because god knows the rest of society doesn’t give a shit…How dare us?
And how dare Snape show us that traumatized ppl don’t have to be lifeless husks but brave mfs who will die to save the rest of the ppl who were too busy judging others to do it themselves. Let’s be honest, most ppl who hate on Snape wouldn’t have half the balls to do what he did…
Snape was a voice. That’s why I think he’s popular. Some ppl don’t like the voices of victims…that’s why he’s so hated.

I can’t fucking. Get over the time an ex-end0 made a post about how in end0 spaces they frame DID/OSDD as only positive “I have friends in my head ^0^” vibes and ridiculed and was aggressive towards people who were, ya know, actually affected by the disorder for “ruining the fun”.
And.
And an End0 made a comment on that post like saying that end0 did and trauma did aren’t the same thing because endo did doesn’t have any negatives. Like. That they didn’t have dissociation. Or panic attacks about not knowing who they are. Or literally any negative you can think of.
They were saying. That end0s. Don’t experience did symptoms.
Wouldn’t that make it.
An entirely different thing.
That you shouldn’t be using did/osdd terms with.
