i guess there is always the question of to what extent the fractal-ozlem pattern will hold true for every endgame romantic pairing and the secondary question of whether the tension between salem and ozpin in jaune's character will eventuate as a return to form (salem) or as transformation (ozma).

but for what it's worth

it's a bit thorny all around. by design. i think he's probably intended to be puzzling. the simplest answer is jaune ecloses as the hero and saves cinder but that coexists uneasily with what's going on with cinder and salem, to say the least. not to mention the thematic treatment of fairytale heroism.

he did save neo, so there's that.

jeanne d'arc heard the voices of saints and angels guiding her way. i suppose there's an argument to be made for the recording pyrrha left him, but given the importance of salem's piety and apostasy, jaune's distinct lack of religiosity or… belief in anything greater than himself is worth reconsidering maybe. why is he here? he cheated his way into beacon just to prove to his family that he was worth something. now he's just here for his friends. what becomes of salem if she's faithless? if she's cynical?

salem is not a cynic. she's a shattered idealist. there will be no victory in strength. mankind is strong, wise, and resourceful, born into an unforgiving world and yet even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change. passion and ingenuity and resourcefulness. hope breathes fire into the hearts of the weary. hope is mankind's greatest strength. your faith in mankind was not misplaced. it's important not to lose sight of what drives us: love, justice, reverence… and so we must press on.

even cinder believes in something, in destiny as a monster to fight. "i refuse to starve."

she poses a thematic challenge to jaune's cynicism in that she puts a spear through weiss schnee, her own personal symbol of everything she's fighting against, in direct response to jaune telling her nothing matters to him except that his friends live. and then he manifests his semblance. and then cinder murders penny and he can't save her and it's his sword covered in her blood. and now he has to live with that forever.

jeanne d'arc was instrumental in charles vii's campaign to push the british out of france. vacuo just had a short-lived civil war instigated by isolationist monarchists claiming descent from vacuo's royal line, one of whom was top of her class at shade and "would have been a fantastic huntress" if she hadn't dropped out. and her semblance is the inverse of jaune's and she mirrors him in a lot of ways. she might be the summer maiden.

The way the feedbacker parrying works is kinda like a spring or a trampoline. It receives kinetic energy, and bounces back with even more force. The reason why parried projectiles explode is because the hell energy orb gets cracked from being punched (the arm's still metal mind you), making it unstable and volatile.

Since willpower and how you're remembered after you die is what decides how your husk will look, filths are probably nobodies that people forgot about, strays had more impact on the world but are weak-willed, stalkers had a strong will but left little to no mark on the world, and insurrectionists are probably billionaires that hoard their wealth thats why thehy so beeg and are in greed layer. the other husks we already kinda know how they work

V1 blasts the game's soundtrack in the areas where it plays. imagine just being suffering in hell, like usual, and suddenly you're hearing altars of apostasy blast at full volume rapidly getting louder and louder as this robot guy rides a rocket towards you

V1 isn't just soulless in his slaughter, he's downright malicious and toys with his prey. when V1 beat V2 for the first time, he could've easily stomped V2 out while he was on the ground recovering after the final hit (see V2's defeat animation in the first fight), but V1 let him go so he could have a little fun and fight him later. The same goes for Gabriel in both of his fights when he was down doing his little defeat monologue. Corpse of King Minos and Leviathan weren't spared because they're animalistic and not sentient. They'd be no fun to spare and fight again to watch them suffer (also V1 had to kill them off completely to go to next layer). V1 doesn't just kill you, he enjoys killing you.

hell is human shaped. each layer is a part of hell's body and you're going down its body. limbo is up in the brain somewhere (get it cause it's up in the clouds), lust is in the vocal chords because you use those to speak filthy horny words, gluttony is in the stomach (obviously) and the big heart you see in 3-2 at gabe's arena is hell's big heart. not minos's. fuck minos i hate that guy. then greed is in the fucking, uh, gallbladder or some shit. wrath is in the regular bladder (not gall) and also 5-1 is in a kidney i think. that why its in a cave. hell got kindey stones problem. heresy is in the intestines (the reason why there is so much red is because hell had spicy mexican food yesterday he got diahrreah). violence is in the balls that's why there's white everywhere. fraud is in the knees cause scammers deserve to have their kneecaps broken, and trachery is in the feet because.

Babylon, The Seat of Satan, and Rome

Revelation 2:12-13 KJV

12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Babel, or Babylon, was built by Nimrod. Gen. 10:8-10. It was the seat of the first great Apostasy. Here the "Babylonian Cult" was invented. A system claiming to possess the highest wisdom and to reveal the divinest secrets. Before a member could be initiated he had to "confess" to the Priest. The Priest then had him in his power. This is the secret of the power of the Priests of the Roman Catholic Church today.

Once admitted into this order men were no longer Babylonians, Assyrians, or Egyptians, but members of a Mystical Brotherhood, over whom was placed a Pontiff or "High Priest," whose word was law. The city of Babylon continued to be the seat of Satan until the fall of the Babylonian and Medo-Persian Empires, when he shifted his Capital to Pergamos in Asia Minor, where it was in John's day. Rev. 2:12,13.

When Attains, the Pontiff and King of Pergamos, died in B. C. 133, he bequeathed the Headship of the "Babylonian Priesthood" to Rome. When the Etruscans came to Italy from Lydia (the region of Pergamos), they brought with them the Babylonian religion and rites. They set up a Pontiff who was head of the Priesthood. Later the Romans accepted this Pontiff as their civil ruler. Julius Caesar was made Pontiff of the Etruscan Order in B. C. 74. In B. C. 63 he was made "Supreme Pontiff" of the "Babylonian Order," thus becoming heir to the rights and titles of Attalus, Pontiff of Pergamos, who had made Rome his heir by will. Thus the first Roman Emperor became the Head of the "Babylonian Priesthood," and Rome the successor of Babylon. The Emperors of Rome continued to exercise the office of "Supreme Pontiff" until A. D. 376, when the Emperor Gratian, for Christian reasons, refused it. The Bishop of the Church at Rome, Damasus, was elected to the position. He had been Bishop 12 years, having been made Bishop in A. D. 366, through the influence of the monks of Mt. Carmel, a college of Babylonian religion originally founded by the priests of Jezebel. So in A. D. 378 the Head of the "Babylonian Order" became the Ruler of the "Roman Church." Thus Satan united Rome and Babylon In One Religious System.

Soon after Damasus was made "supreme Pontiff" the "rites" of Babylon began to come to the front. The worship of the Virgin Mary was set up in A. D. 381.

Larkin goes on to say on page 152...

All the outstanding festivals of the Roman Catholic Church are of Babylonian origin. Easter is not a Christian name. It means "Ishtar," one of the titles of the Baby- Ionian Queen of Heaven, whose worship by the Children of Israel was such an abomination in the sight of God. The decree for the observance of Easter and Lent was given in A. D. 519. The "Rosary" is of Pagan origin. There is no warrant in the Word of God for the use of the "Sign of the Cross." It had its origin in the mystic "Tau" of the Chaldeans and Egyptians. It came from the letter "T," the initial name of "Tammuz," and was used in the "Babylonian Mysteries" for the sarnie magic purposes as the Romish church now employs it. Celibacy, the Tonsure, and the Order of Monks and Nuns, have no warrant or authority from Scripture. The Nuns are nothing more than an imitation of the "Vestal Virgins" of Pagan Rome.

...and there is a lot more said but I want to go back to Damasus real quick. Not only was he the Pope from 366-384, and did all the above mentioned. He is also was the first to declare that Rome was started by Peter, thereby claiming Peter as the “founder” of the church (which is a complete lie and twist of scripture), and was the one that commissioned Jerome to “revise” the Latin translation of the Bible which became known as the Vulgate. To this day, NO ONE has seen the text that one man (Jerome) used to create the Vulgate.

A beginner's guide to the Second Coming

This is a summary of the timeline associated with the Second Coming. Most of this will be based on Christian religion (namely Catholicism and Lutherism/Angelicanism) but I've peppered in interpretations of other religions where appropriate so that people have an idea of what season 3 might entail. Let's get into it.

The name itself of the Second Coming refers to the resurrection of Jesus and his second visit to earth for the final judgement of humankind. In Catholicism, this event is preceded by one final grand temptation by the Antichrist towards apostasy (aka abandoning your religion) as well as Jesus' recognition by all of Israel. However, no catastrophic events such as wars or natural disasters will take place beforehand as is described for Armageddon (this is different to the Islamic interpretation of the Second Coming in which Jesus descends during a war between the Mahdi, a descendant of Muhammad, and the Antichrist). In fact, not even angels and demons know when the Second Coming will happen, which we obvs already know is not the case for the angels of Good Omens. Once Jesus is resurrected by God and comes back to earth, 3 things happen pretty much in an instant: 1) all living humans die 2) the transfiguration of the universe into something more beautiful happens 3) all dead humans ever will be resurrected, judged by their works of mercy during their lifetime (such as practicing justice, forgiveness, etc) and recompensated. Bad people go to hell based on these judgements. Good people experience "beatific vision" ie direct communication with God (which could be interesting in context with Aziraphale....) though this varies between interpretations, for instance, in Islam or for Jehovah's Witnesses, paradise on earth is established afterwards. The Second Coming is the ultimate consummation of mankind and solidifies the full triumph of God over sin, suffering and Satan (fun alliteration). It is also said that the "heavenly bodies [...] dissolve" as a result, which again could be interesting in regard to particularly Crowley's dislike of the institutions and Aziraphale's role as a leader of one of them.

Fun addition: it says in the first book of Thessalonians that the arrival of Jesus will be announced by an archangel. I might have an inkling whose job that will be and whether he might duck it up...
