i just wanna start and say that i luvvv ur blog and the dad sukuna fics are giving me life (🙏🏾). plsss could i ask 4 a scenario of yuuji being a menace 4 once. like 1 of the things he and sukuna can agree on is that no one touches or speaks 2 momma without permission, but a new servant doesn't know that?
🤔 I see what’s going on you want Yuji to bite people well he NOT KINDA BRAT, he latches on and shakes his head like a feral dog 😭😭 grrr
Idk what I was doing and where my plot came from I think I just pulled it out the air 😭
Tumblr media
“Lady Y/n!” You turned looking over at the eunuch who had been persistently following you all week. The poor young man according to the servants and your hand maids had grown “quite fond” of you. You looked over at Yuji, he had long run into the garden, sighing when your hand maids were stuck between going after Yuji or staying by your side. You waved them off when the eunuch got closer, “Ah, feels like I’ve been seeing you a lot lately. Especially outside the Palace walls.” You looked past him and he smiled, eyes becoming lidded. Silence filled the space and you gave him a sympathetic smile, “Did you need something or did you just run all this way to greet me Kamo?” You risked your arms into your sleeves eyeing the way he fidgeted with his hands. “I guess I came here just to greet you Lady Y/n..” he looked away, the blush on his cheeks was proof enough your ladies in waiting were right… Before you could dismiss him he spoke up with a hopeful look, “would you mind if I stood by your side for today Lady Y/n?” As much as you hated the idea of letting someone who’s not your husband or son be by your side all day, you had to think about it. You should say no because it would look bad if anyone were to notice him constantly at your side. Second, you don’t want to make a bad impression on Sukuna, he was your husband and you didn’t want to make him believe the rumours running around his own Palace.
“I appreciate your eagerness but the answer is no. I’m spending today with Yuji and I’m not allowing anything to take away from his time.” You dismissed him with a wave and he still smiled, “It’s alright, thank you Lady y/n. Maybe I can join you for the next time you feel like taking a walk in the garden.” You had already turned away but he held out hope, “Thank you for the offer Kamo but you really should get back to work.” You look over your shoulder at him with a faint smile, he nodded and ran off back to place and into the Curses den. The poor kid didn’t see Lord Sukuna lurking about watching the entire scene unfold. Sukun watched as you smiled over your shoulder in his general direction making his chest swell with pride, he knew he didn’t have to worry about you. It was that fool of a eunuch who would need to be taught his place.
————-
Yuji was by your side pulling your sleeve’s, “cmmooonnn mooomm Wanna goooooo” he ended up falling and lying on the floor looking up at you. He was spread out and he huffed. “I don’t want that eunuch to come he talks too mucchhhaaaahhh” his whine turned into a scream while he shook his head back and forth on the ground, “Yuji baby get up your gonna dirty.” You tried to help him up and he just laid limp in your hold, “Are we leaving now?”
“Yes we can go before Kamo shows up if you really don’t like him THAT much.” Yuji laid there while you tried to stand him up before he got “Mkay let’s go.” Yuji took your hand guiding you to the door and right when he opened it there was the voice that made him squint over his shoulder, “NO! GO AWAY KAMO!” You were amused how Yuji stuck his tongue out at the Eunuch while trying to drag you through the door into the garden again. You didn’t fight him and let him drag you doing your best to keep up. When he finally stopped, Yuji looked around, even jumping to look over a bush, “daddy doesn’t like him, he says he tried to talk to you toooo much.” He was waving his hands around exaggerating his point, “he said next time he tried to get close to take you away or fight him!” You watch as Yuji looked up at you holding little fists, his little round face was full of determination. You could help but kneel and place your hand on his head running it over the side of his face cupping his cheek. “Yuji you don’t have to worry about fighting that poor eunuch, there is nothing I would choose over you or Ryomen.”
He shook his head back and forth vigorously “nuh uh! Daddy said you’d say that and I shouldn’t listen!” You hugged Yuji, confusing him “awww my little Yu.” He leaned against you taking in your hug. “What else did daddy tell you, hm?”
———
There you sat with your husband, dressed up in vibrant Junihitoe with over 20 layers. Sukuna wore his usual attire, you were holding onto one of his arms listening to him talk about how Yuji had done well in his own training and along those lines. It was well into spring when the days were getting hotter and becoming longer summer days. Sukuna watched how you’d fan yourself closing your eyes for a brief moment of relief before leaning your head on his arm. He could feel your heat and there was no doubt in his mind it was all those layers in your silly little robes. He had a great idea, slowly he led you inside where you found relief out of the sun but those layers were still clinging to you in uncomfortable ways. When you were going to pull away Sukuna pulled you back into his side leaning down to whisper into your ear, “Now let’s get you out of those robes, your skins burning like all those nights I spent memorising every curve of your body.” The flush on your face flared up when you held onto him tighter, burying your face in his arm, “Ryomen!” You tried to scold him while he led you to the large bathing room. He took you in kissing you once the door was closed, he spared no time in stripping himself taking a step into the pool of cold water. A second step his hands were on your waist while you held his face kissing him, he mumbled against your lips “Let’s get these off of you.” He pressed his lips against your neck grazing you with his teeth, you tried to hold in your giggles when his hands opened your robes, letting his hands run over your sides while he bit into your skin sucking and marking you with a bright red mark, grazing his teeth over your skin when he made it to your chest. Your laughed and playful whispers could be heard outside the room and it left nothing to the imagination of what could be happening. This was a sign most servants took as “Don’t interrupt Lord Sukuna and Lady Y/n.” All except for one who walked in immediately after knocking. Kamo.. he was damn lucky Sukuna was just starting to slide your robes off your shoulders, you would’ve tried to push yourself away from Sukuna but he was your husband, what did you have to hide. Sukuna was too proud of his own physique to even think about maybe committing some form of decency. There you stood in his tight hold pulling you closer to the water, he rested his chin on your shoulder looking past you right at Kamo. He was smug about his situation, staring right at the eunuch, “What is it Kamo.” He couldn’t say anything, just staring at the both of you trying to think of something before Ryomen became annoyed, “I’ve killed better people for less,” he stood up, a set of arms still holding your waist and robes in place, there was no missing that Ryomen was in fact a man gifted not once but twice. He took that to his advantage when he noticed Kamo take a second look after he stepped from around you, “Speak now or lose your life, you better have a damn good reason for interrupting MY time with MY WIFE.” Just as Kamo was going to speak up, Yuji came running “Daddy DADDDY DADDY!” He stopped seeing his dad standing there in his full glory, “naked naked naked!” He closed his eyes when he pointed and laughed at his dad who just dead panned before turning to the eunuch, “Stop staring at my wife before you lose your living privileges and bring some towels.” He sent Kamo off and Yuji was still laughing behind his hand seeing his dad naked. You closed your robes, “Now that you're here Yuji you do need a bath.” You snatched him up before he could run out the door, Sukuna rolled his eyes “Great interrupted by the Eunuch and now that he’s gone you invite the brat.” Sukuna stared unamused as Yuji stripped jumping into the water, “‘m a fish”
———
It was a few days later when you were talking to one of your ladies in waiting and Yuji saw it. The way Kamo approached you reaching out to touch you to get your attention. He went running and screaming, the three of you turned to look at him, each of you confused until you noticed Yuji wasn’t running at you. He was running at Kamo who was about to touch you without your permission. It happens in slow motion how he jumped, little legs wrapping around his knee, the way his hands were clinging to the eunuch. He opened his mouth wide, threw his head back and made an exaggerated biting sound before he latched onto Kamo’s side. Your lady in waiting was shocked and you were just as speechless watching the eunuch try to pull Yuji off only for him to bite harder. Through the yells and little growls you could hear “don toufch mhh mhmmy” and he went back to shaking his head left and right.
Finally you came to your senses and tried to help take Yuji off of him, just as you took hold of Yuji Kamo winced and managed to hit you. Yuji let go and gasped very dramatically, he slipped out of your hands when your lady in waiting ran over to you to see if you were okay. You stood up holding your cheek staring at Kamo, as much as you’d like to take blame for Yuji biting him he shouldn’t have been trying to touch in the first place. You saw Yuji with his fists up “YOU HIT MY MOMMY” he swung hitting Kamo right in his manhood.
It didn’t take long for the word to spread, before you knew it Sukuna had you sitting in your seperate room. Yuji was going to follow his dad out of the room until he gave him a silent look, making him turn around and run back to you. He stood in front of you laying his chest and arms on your lap looking up at you with a small smile, “you're so pretty mommy.”
You laughed at his words shaking your head with a smile, “Aw my little prince Yuji here to make me feel better hm?” He stretched his arms up so you’d pull him into your lap. You did and he smiled at his reflection, you were sitting in front of the vanity in your room. He pouted looking up at you, “you okay?” He started to bite his finger when you looked down at him with teary eyes, you couldn’t help but feel like it was your fault in some way. “Yeah it’s just been a long day Yu.”
He hummed, swinging his legs and falling limp in your arms, “daddy said he’s gonna fix him..” you were confused there was no doubt in your mind Ryomen would kill the man on sight once he faced him.
Time passed to the point that both of you got bored of waiting and ended up on the bed listening to Yuji ramble about how he was so cool and how could beat Sukuna in a fight. One day he was gonna have his own big temple and you could live with him because there wouldn’t be nasty old eunuchs running around.
“Hey brat, that's my wife, she's not going with you to your house or anywhere at all.” Yuji was quick to jump up and run over when you slowly sat up on the bed, “Dad!” Sukuna grabbed him by the back of his shirt pulling him up and onto his shoulder giving him a little bag, Yuji opened it, looked in and closed it throwing it on the floor making a loud “eeeewww”
Sukuna looked at you, you looked back at him, he didn’t seem too happy. He walked over to you bringing his hand up, you didn’t look away when he took your face in his hand shaking his head.
“I’m alright Ryo…” his thumb rubbed your cheek, “He’s not.” Yuji shivered, leaning over on his dads head to tell you “Look in the bag.”
Sukuna side eyed Yuji who looked away, “what’s in the- the balls he had that made him think he could lift his hand.”
“But he’s a- he wasn’t, he became a eunuch a few hours ago and now he is gone.” Sukuna’s face was smug when he flipped Yuji off his shoulder and onto your bed, “Now there’s something I want to finish that he interrupted.” He nodded at the door and you felt your face heat up, “y-yeah.” Yuji was busy laughing and rolling over in your bed to notice his parents little game of bedroom eyes.😭

Last Chapter:
"Unrequited"
Scaramouche x reader
Genre: Angst
(sorry guys I lied)
Chapter 1 , Chapter 2
Tumblr media
(Present day)
Under the vast expanse of the night sky, Scaramouche found himself once again drawn to the streets of Inazuma. It had been years since he last walked these familiar paths, yet the memories of his time here with y/n remained etched in his heart like an unyielding tattoo.
As he wandered through the dimly lit streets, a sense of longing stirred within him, a yearning for something he had thought lost forever. But tonight, beneath the shimmering stars, fate had other plans.
In a twist of destiny, y/n found herself wandering through the same streets of Inazuma, her heart heavy with memories of a love she had forgotten. She had carried the weight of their separation with her for years, a burden that seemed to disappear with each passing day.
But tonight, as if guided by some unseen force, their paths collided once again. Scaramouche's breath caught in his throat as he caught sight of her, a vision of beauty amidst the shadows. And in that moment, time seemed to stand still as their eyes met across the crowded street.
For a heartbeat, neither of them moved, their gazes locked in a silent exchange of emotions too powerful to put into words. And then, as if drawn together by an irresistible force, they began to move towards each other, the distance between them shrinking with each step.
And when they finally stood face to face, the world around them faded into insignificance, leaving only the two of them in their own private universe. Without a word, Scaramouche reached out, his hand trembling as it brushed against y/n's cheek, as if confirming that she was real, that she was here.
Tears welled in Scaramouche eyes as he reached out to her, her fingers intertwining with his as if they were never meant to be apart. And in that moment, all the pain and heartache of the past melted away, replaced by a warmth and a love that had never truly faded.
"I thought I lost you," Scaramouche whispered, his voice raw with emotion.
"Sorry,"
"But who are you?"
y/n replied, her voice soft but filled with conviction. "Have I met you before? You seem to know me."
And with those words, the weight of Scaramouches chest became heavier, then. Ah, yes... He erased himself. Why would she remember him?
"I-... You remind me of someone..."
He said.
"May I know who's that 'someone'?"
Y/n asked, as Scaramouche looked at her with eyes full of emotions.
"She was my Lover, my soulmate and my everything."
'But I lost her'
"She must be a Amazing person, I hope you guys will see eachother soon. '
'I already have'
"Yes she's great she's the most Amazing, Beautiful, gorgeous, loud, crazy and fragile girl I have ever seen— She was with me from the start to the day we've been separated."
A hand landed atop at Scaramouches hand,—It was y/n, and she wore the cheeky smile she always had. With gentleness she pulled scaramouche into a hug, a warm hug—the hug he missed.
The nonexisting heart scaramouche has started beating faster every minute. His eyes started to tear up as he wrapped his arms around her, tighter.
"There, there. How about we take a walk? "
Y/n suggested.
Scaramouche obviously said yes, and there Two souls met again. Are they for each other I don't know?. All I know is for in the end, love always finds a way, even in the darkest of nights. And as long as they had each other, they knew that they could weather any storm, overcome any obstacle, together, forevermore...
"That is the end of the story, now, kids go to sleep now you don't want your father to get mad"
"But MOOOMM! Did they end up together? What happened to the two souls?? MOOOMMMM!"
A little boy with an e/c boy with platinum hair asked.
"Well, they're meant for each other yes, but fate is unpredictable. And in the end one's soul isn't meant for each other despite how strong their love is for each other."
"What do you mean by that mama?"
A girl with cherry-red eyes spoke.
"Let's just keep that a secret for now little ones"
Their mother closed the book and returned it to the upper shelf.
"But maa!!!"
They both cried until the door opened up revealing a Platinum-blond haired man.
"What's the commotion all about?"
His, calm husky voice asked.
"Zuha, please take the children to the bed please hon,"
"Noted dear, how about you?"
"I'll stay here for a little longer,"
"Ok, Goodnight love"
He said as he kissed her forehead.
"Good night, love you"
She replied returning the kiss.
For 2,000 years. Generation by generation, The lost wanderer stays loyal—to her. He has loved each and every version of her. Every millennium, every year, each time he sees the smile on her face, it'll take him back to the day he was still a lone kabukimono who fell for a mortal, a fragile human girl. Every time he falls—she falls for another— The wanderer of Inazuma, the gentleman Kaedehara Kazuha.
Did he mess up so bad that he can't have a future with her? But aside from all, his heart stays loyal for her even if generation by generation he sees her fall with him, die with him. And forget everything he, He still remembers how you smile with the smallest things and laugh with pure joy.
Yet, if possible he wished and hoped, One the universe's out there, they can have their happy ending. Their small family— where they'll live besides the river with 3 kids and 2 cats.
"Y/n, even if I have to wait for Millions, billions, heck even Eternity, even if I have to fight Gods, Angels. EVERYTHING just to see your smile, even if your heart is fixed to another. I love you, more than everything. You're my Roman Empire..

Some Code Lyoko headcanons I have had over the past couple of months:
Out of all the things Odd has pursued in art-wise, he loves painting and film-making the most, as it doesn't matter how messy or terrible it could be, he just loves trying his best (and would argue that whatever it is, IS art, and lists off the reasons why it's so great in a heartbeat)
When Aelita first came to earth, she ate too much ice cream at once, and thought she was dying when getting a brain freeze (she LOVES caramel with her ice cream, she cant do without it)
William is a HUGE theater kid, he could recite his favorite play quote for quote in a heartbeat (I can't say what his favorite could be because I've only seen Heather's, and I'd probably make some people mad lmao)
After months of Aelita lecturing him about 'getting some fresh air once in awhile,' Jeremie unintentionally picked up a habit of sitting at a particular bench while in intense thought (when they defeated Xana, he would often sit there and think of miniscule school related problems, and thinks of Aelita whenever he passes by that bench)
Out of all of Xanas monsters, Odds favorite are the Hornets because "Sure, they're pests, but they helped improve my aim, and now I always know where to shoot, theyre practically nothing now" (he HATES megatanks to death, he often asks someone else to deal with one if they pop up)
Yumi is a huge fan of classic literature, and often asks William if there's any books she would like, as he too loves it (they would often talk about different plot points they liked or despised in a certain book they read)
Ulrich loves to indulge in his Pencak Silat training, as often that's how he can express himself (it's the only thing he truly likes to do, and his father doesn't bug him about it)
(This takes place during Evo) after William got integrated into the group again, he and Aelita often get together to do their nails, while eating pizza secretly after hours (the two think they're so bad) Aelita often tries eyeliner as well, and William always compliments her no matter how good or terrible it is
Yumi definitely went to Kyoto when she was a little older, as she was already talking about it in the series
William had braces up until he was 13, he would often complain how "braces didn't look cool on him" and "my teeth are already straight" until his parents finally obliged, getting them removed a couple days prior to being expelled (he hated smiling for photos during that time, as he had this punk look to him, while having very obvious braces on) (he wears retainers to bed when he was at Kadic)
Odd and Aelita had this ongoing bet, where one set a bet that either Yumi or Ulrich confessed first, the prices raising every week (when they did, the number was up to the thousands, and neither one could pay each other, even if they wanted to, but that doeant mean they dont joke about it)
(This one's more of an observation from Evo) William LOVES going to Lyoko, giving him the thrill he wanted in life, but he has repressed rage back when he was Xanafied for months, often taking it out on Xanas creatures as if to make a point that he HATES Xana for what he did to him (often being rather brutal in the way he fights)
Jeremie will always keep the photos he took with Aelita the first day she came to earth, and often treat it as a precious item of his (and would complain for anyone slightly damages it)
Ulrich and Yumi often bonded over the fact that before meeting Odd and the others, that they were two lonely kids in their own families, both liking the fact that they related strongly to one another due to their strict family lives (this was when Hiroki wasn't there at the time)
Back when, Williams mom often was overly affectionate, and Will was always "Mooomm stoooooppp-" but after being Xanafied for months (Which must really be disorienting having the month be May, and then the next being fucking December or some shit) he doesn't mind his parents being affectionate, as he realized just how important they are to him
Yumi often talked to Williams clone, sometimes being like "Do you think I'm doing the right thing?" And he often says "Even though I am not the real William Dunbar, I'm sure he would be proud of the person you are today, Miss Ishiyama" (tbh I wanted a scene like that)
Jeremie is obviously very bad at expressing his emotions, but he holds his freinds dear to him, but doesn't know how to show that, so instead back then he'd buy small cheap gifts for everyone as he saw on the internet "gift-giving is a good way to express your gratitide to people that are dear to you" (evreyone eventually convinced him to stop as he was spending too much)
After William being dished on the lore that happened (because I'm sure nobody told him much) he and Aelita had a invisible bond with each other as they were both Xanafied (alot,) they often comfort each other if one had a nightmare or whatnot, very wholesome
Ulrich hates to admit it, but he and Will are very simular, as the two have a 'older brother' vibe to them in the group, and they often argue with each other often, arguing who "has to" protect each other (William often using the excuse that "he's the older one")
William is a HUGE cat person, and got really exited seeing Odd for the first time on Lyoko
And so on, I should stop because I have too much on my mind (I can make a part 2, Def)

Roosters and Flowers
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Rooster x OG Fem Mitchell character <3 & Rooster x OG son character
Summary: the first day of the uranium mission !! Rooster and Maverick both realise Florence is in town as she also finds out that they are there too.
Warnings: none
A/N: Bradley is 30 btw Flo is 28 and Louis is 6 <3
“Mooomm…mommy” she heard vaguely as she tried to go back to sleep.
“Mommy get up” she rolled over to the opposite side the voice was coming from, but then she felt a little body jump on top of her.
“Come on mommy wake up” Louis giggled.
Florence groaned giving up, “Good morning Louis” she said with a yawn, but still smiling at her son.
“Good morning mommy” he smiled her.
although Louis looked strikingly like his father his hair was darker and he had his mothers hazel eyes.
“Why must you wake me up so early Louis, why not let your mother sleep” she complained bringing her son close and cuddling him.
Louis had seemed to naturally wake up everyday early just like a Rooster, something she cursed Bradley for giving him.
“But it’s not early mommy” he responded.
“Maybe not for you” she said back.
Suddenly the two heard Penny calling out, Florence got up holding Louis to her hip walking out her bedroom “Hey Penny” she said back walking down the stairs.
“Hey you two” Penny said smiling wide.
“I was just waking mommy up” added Louis randomly as his mother put him down.
“Oh really?” She said back.
Flo looked around, “where’s Amelia?” She asked.
“Oh she’s still asleep” she turned to Louis “I might need your tips on how you get your mother out of bed at a decent time Louis” Penny said ruffling up his curly hair, making him giggle.
“So what brings you here on a sunday Penny?” Asked Flo walking toward the kitchen, as the two followed.
“Well I actually need to talk to you about something” she said glancing at Louis.
“Yeah what’s up?”
“It’s about Pete…” Penny began “and Rooster”
Oh
Florence brows furrowed “They’ve both been called back to Top Gun”…
Oh
———————————-🪩————————————
Bradley Nicholas Bradshaw at the ripe age of 30 had lived his life with many regrets, despite achieving his dream of becoming a naval aviator just like his father he was never proud of some of the choices he made along the way.
He never really believed in fate or higher powers either; whenever he’d look back on his life he’d think what kind of higher power would put me through all this.
But as he sat there in the cafeteria on base surrounded by his fellow daggers, he thought maybe it was fate that had brought him to TopGun and maybe it was fate that made him look up at just the right time that she would be walking in.
There she was Florence Mitchell, he didn’t think it’d be possible but she seemed more beautiful then the last time he saw her.
That last time was one of his many regrets; leaving his Florence.
His flower.
So maybe it was in fact fate that brought the two of them together at TopGun during the same time.
———————————-🪩————————————
It was now the end of the day Maverick had now dismissed those pilots, he had made it through a day instructing.
However Pete was nervous, Pete was freaked by the fact that Rooster was at TopGun and he’d have to train him but what he did not expect was his daughter to be there too.
He wanted nothing more than to rekindle his relationship with the two.
Because of his decision to pull Bradley from the academy he lost his relationship with his little Mavey along the way.
And now here she was a grown women and a highly skilled nurse at TopGun he knew he must have missed a lot but this was a real kick to the guts.
So he made his way toward the infirmary towards her office in hopes to see her.
Eventually he arrived standing outside her office he knocked on the door, hoping she hadn’t left base yet.
“Come in” he heard her call out.
He opened the door to find her leaning on her desk flipping through some papers.
“Florence” he said in earnest as she looked up.
She looked shocked to find him there “Dad” she said back.
After a moment of then fiddling she finally said “um did you wanna see me about something?” She asked turning to put the papers down on her desk.
“Can’t I come see my daughter” he stated back.
“Dad” she rolled her eyes, “if we’re gonna do this at least take it seriously”.
“Fine. So how have you been?” He asked.
“I’ve been good” she answered with a hint of sarcasm.
“Mavey I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I did, but if you just give me a chance to explain why I think it would really help” he finally explained.
She simply looked at him saying “alright then, so why’d you pull his papers” she asked “if you are really ready to tell me the reason now” she once again rolled her eyes.
“It’s because of Carole” that made Florence freeze.
“What do you mean”
“I mean” he took a breath “before she passed she asked me to do whatever I could to stop her son from entering the Navy. She told me that she knows what happened to Goose and doesn’t want the same fate for Brad” he said looking toward her.
“But wouldn’t she want Brad to be happy and do what he wants” her brows furrowed.
“Yes but she also couldn’t handle the thought of him having to go through the same thing as Nick” he said back.
Her brows somehow furrowed further “but that didn’t stop him”.
“I know” he said looking down.
She didn’t know why she did it but in that moment she just felt the need to hug her father for the first time in 12 years, she walked towards him and buried her head in his neck while she wrapped her arms around him.
He reciprocated the gesture after a moment.
“He doesn’t know”.
“Nope. He already lost his father I promised myself I wasn’t going to let him loose his mother to through hate”.
“So you’d rather he hate you that her” she pulled back looking towards him, he shacked his head.
“I’m sorry dad”
“Oh sweetheart you have no reason to be sorry” he rubbed her shoulder, “are we good?” He finally asked.
She also shacked her head.
“But um if we’re gonna be talking again there’s something you should know” she stepped back further and walked toward her desk.
“Mmh?”
“I…um have a son” she said reaching towards the photo of the two of them that had a place on her desk and handing it to him.
“Oh wow” he looked down at the photo, smiling softly “he has our eyes” he smiled at her.
“Yes” she smiled back.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you sweetheart”, “it’s okay dad. Do you maybe wanna meet him?” She asked.
“Do I?” He laughed “of course I do”.

All those mistletoe asks got me thinking....Punch clearly remembers having her mother around, but did Joker just try to force it out of her mind? I guess what I'm saying is, is there any kind of elaboration on their relationship past vs. present that isn't too spoilery to share?
Also can I give Punch a hug? Poor girlie needs one 😢
It isn't really clear why Joker decides to just...pretend like he's never had a kid in his life, and that's intentional on my part. Joker himself probably doesn't even know. But he seems to be convinced of it, or at least he REALLY REALLY wants to be. Either way, the kid that he raised (or partially raised) is dead, and Punchline may as well be a stranger to him
If you want a kind-of comparison to what their relationship in the present day is like, think classic Joker and Harley Quinn except not romantic and also not as abusive. Punchline will do ANYTHING to get J's attention, including ruining her own life by joining Joker's gang, and is deeply deeply loyal to her (for now), but J for the most part doesn't acknowledge her existence. J gives way more attention and affection to Harley, which is why Punch hates her so much
Punch definitely does need a hug :( She just wants her mooomm

Rather Die | Chapter 20
rating: Pg-13
warnings: pregnancy talk
masterlist
————————————————————
It is currently Christmas Eve.
Victoria's mom, Evelyn & her stepdad, Peter, both came into Los Angeles to visit and to meet Austin's family as well. Victoria's parents are staying with her & Austin while they are in town.
Currently, both families are together at their place, including Ashton, Mila, & Juliet.
"Wait, how far along are you?" Evelyn asks Victoria as she glazes the ham in the kitchen. Victoria is currently mixing together the potato salad.
"About 5 months. I'm due around Easter." she looks to her mom with a smile.
"Ok, that's what I thought. Just a few more months to go."
"Yeah, I'm excited. About halfway there or so."
"When did you move in with Austin? Not long ago, right?"
"Yeah, I moved in last month like a week before Thanksgiving. I ended up moving in sooner than we planned."
"Why is that?"
"It was just easier, since I was going to be starting the good pregnancy milestones & more doctors visits. Austin doesn't want to miss anything, and I don't want him to either. Also, wanted to get moved in before I was too pregnant and couldn't do anything."
"That makes sense. I'm glad you two have figured things out. I know how rough it was between the two of you at the start."
"I'm glad too."
"And I see he's moved on?"
"Mhm. I think any day now he'll ask her to be his girlfriend."
"I still can't believe what you said to her." Evelyn chuckles.
"Mooomm, please. I know. But it's fine. I apologized, we're good with each other."
"Good. The last thing you need is to be stressing over a new girl he's with."
"Don't worry, I'm not."
Victoria looks over to the living room and sees Austin & Juliet cuddling on the couch, being all cute. She feels lowkey disgusted on the inside, but Ashton comes up behind her & takes her away from those thoughts.
"Hey, baby." Ashton says, wrapping his arms around Vic, placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Hi, honey." she smiles. "I wish you didn't have to leave after dinner."
"I know, me too babe. It's just a lot easier on my family if I go to them rather than them coming here. But my parents want to come out soon to meet you."
"They do?"
"Mhm. We're thinking next month sometime."
"That would be great, Ash." she smiles.
"Is dinner almost ready?"
"Yeah, actually. Hey, Aus?" Vic gets Austin's attention, looking over to him.
"Yeah?" Austin replies.
"Can you get the table set, please?"
"Yeah. Wanna help me set the table?" he asks Juliet.
"Sure." Juliet smiles.
Mila walks into the kitchen, "Hey, is there anything you need help with?"
"Uh, yeah. You can start putting the sides on the table. Mom is finishing up the glaze before she cuts the ham, & Ashley is finishing up the desserts."
"Alright, sounds good." Mila smiles. "Is that a new necklace?" she asks Vic, noticing a sparkly diamond around her neck.
"Yeah, it is." Vic smiles. "Ashton got it for me. We already exchanged gifts."
"It's so pretty, I love it."
"Thank you. I love it too."
Austin overhears their conversation & rolls his eyes. "A diamond necklace?" he thinks to himself. "It's nice, but c'mon. Don't be so basic. At least I got Julie my birthstone so it's more meaningful."
By the time the table was set, dinner was ready. Ham, kielbasa, potato salad, green bean casserole, pierogis, veggies. A whole feast to say the least.
Ashley asks Victoria as they eat, "Any plans for a baby shower? I'd love to help!"
"Oh my gosh um, I haven't even thought about it. I guess we'll have to start planning it." she responds.
"Do you have a theme picked out yet for the nursery?" Victoria's mom asks.
"We're just doing a pretty floral theme with shades of pinks."
"Oh, that'll be so nice! Maybe you can do the shower the same theme."
"That's a good idea." Mila chimes in. "My mom's friend is a florist that could probably help us out."
"Perfect. One step of planning done." Vic says.
"We still have to pick out a name." Austin says.
"You haven't picked out a name yet?" Ashley asks.
"Nope. Have we even talked about it?" Austin asks Victoria.
"To be honest, I don't know. We might have early on."
"We'll have to discuss it later." Austin smiles.
After dinner
"Hey, don't worry about cleaning up. I got it." Juliet says to Vic smiling, as she was gathering up plates.
"Are you sure? You're a guest, I don't want you to feel the need." Victoria responds.
"Yeah, it's fine! Austin & I can handle it, right Aus?"
"Yeah, we got it. You did a lot today, Vic. Go rest." Austin says.
"Alright, alright. Ash? You got time?" Vic smirks a little.
"Yeah, a little bit." Ashton responds.
Victoria & Ashton head off to her bedroom to have a little alone time before he heads off.
As Austin & Juliet clean up, they talk amongst themselves.
"You're still coming over to my parents' house tomorrow, right?" Juliet asks.
"Yes, of course. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Just checking. I know you get shy, and I didn't want you to back out because you're too nervous to meet them."
"I mean, I am nervous, but I'll be fine. They want us there at 4, right?"
"Yeah, 4 or earlier."
"Alright, maybe we can head over there early. Get more settled in before dinner."
"Sounds good, Aus." Juliet smiles.
Not too long after....
"I can't believe you're leaving me." Vic pouts as she's saying goodbye to Ashton.
"I know, baby. I'll be back before you know it. I'll call you when I land, okay?"
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too."
Ashton and Vic share one last kiss before he heads off to the airport.
"I'll see you soon, love." Ashton says
"See you soon." Vic shyly smiles.
Around 1AM, Victoria finds herself watching the 24hr marathon of "A Christmas Story" while shoving Christmas cookies in her mouth, being hungry and not able to sleep.
She hears footsteps coming down the hall, "Austin?" she calls out, but not too loudly.
"It's Santa Claus." Austin says sarcastically, walking into the kitchen. "What are you doing up?" he asks, looking over at her in the living room.
"Baby girl was hangry for cookies & wasn't letting me sleep. Why are you up?"
"I don't know, honestly. Just not tired enough to sleep. Came out here for a snack, sometimes that helps." Austin responds grabbing some milk & cookies for himself. "What are you watching?"
"The 24hr marathon of "A Christmas Story". Peter left the cable on from the football game earlier, so I just put this on."
"It is a classic. I didn't know TBS still did the 24hr marathon." Austin sits on the couch next to her.
"I guess so. Did you grow up watching it?"
"When we had cable, yeah. Or if I was at my grandparents for Christmas. We weren't always able to afford cable."
"Makes sense. New Zealand didn't have TBS, but I think one channel did show "Home Alone" all day or showed all 3, all day long. My brother would keep it on until my mom got tired of it." Vic chuckles.
"That's cool. We mainly watched VHS or DVDs for movies. I think my sister kept them all after my mom passed, or she donated them."
"Is that one of your favorite memories with your mom around the holidays?"
"Yeah, yeah it is. Also making these cookies with her." He holds up a cookie that looks like a candy cane. "She had taught Ashley & I how to make them. Well, not so much the dough, but how to dye the dough and roll it out to make different shapes."
"Did Ashley make these ones? I don't remember seeing you make them."
"Yeah, she did. They're my favorite because they remind me of my mom."
"That's really sweet, Aus." Vic smiles. "They are really good. I'm gonna need this recipe. I'd like to pass down things like that to baby girl."
"Me too. And speaking of baby girl..."
"What?"
"We should probably think of a name."
"We should. Any ideas?"
"Nope."
"Me neither. Let me pull up a baby name list."
"Well actually..."
"Yeah?"
"If it's okay with you, I'd love for her to have my mom's name as her middle name. Whether it's Lori or Lorraine, whichever sounds better."
"Of course we can do that, Aus. As long as our next born has David for his middle name after my dad. IF it were to happen." Vic jokes.
"Deal." Austin chuckles.
"Okay, names that will go with Lori or Lorraine. The number one name on this list is Olivia, which is so pretty but doesn't really sound right."
"Also, people would probably think we named her after my Elvis co-star."
"True. Emma?"
"Eh. Too popular I think."
"Charlotte? Amelia? I like Amelia."
"I do too. Let me start a list. Charlotte is okay."
"Ava wouldn't sound right, Sophia is too close to Sophia Loren, that actress."
"What's next?"
"Isabella. Reminds me of Twilight."
"Her name was Bella though."
"Close enough, Aus."
"What else is there?"
"There's Mia, which we'd probably call her for short of we named her Amelia."
"Mia is short for Amelia?"
"Yeah. Mia's name in "The Princess Diaries" was Amelia, but went by Mia."
"Okay, well I'll put Amelia/Mia on the list. What else?"
"Evelyn, Harper, Luna, Camila, Gianna, Elizabeth. None of these are sticking out to me."
"Let me see." Austin puts her hand out for his phone and starts looking at the list.
"Ella? Scarlett? Aria?" Austin asks.
"Maybe Aria."
"Hazel?"
"No, too "Fault In Our Stars". Maybe when I was fifteen."
"Madison?"
"I have a cousin named Madison."
"Ellie?"
"That's kinda cute."
"Violet?"
"Violet? That's pretty. Violet Lori? No. Violet Lorraine? Hmm.."
"Violet Lorraine. I like that. It flows nice."
"Yeah, it does."
Austin keeps scrolling to see if there's anything else on the list of names.
"Ew. Hell no." he says.
"What?"
"Eliana is on the list."
"Ew. Fuck that bitch."
"I'm really liking Violet."
"Me too. It just seems right."
"Did we just choose name?"
"I think we did." Victoria smiles big.
Austin repositions himself to be near Victoria's belly.
"Hi Violet, Merry Christmas from your daddy." he says, getting teary eyed. "I love you so much, my beautiful girl." Austin places a kiss on her belly.
Victoria tears up as well.
"Hey, Merry Christmas to you too, Vic." Austin smiles at her as he sits back up.
"Merry Christmas to you, Aus."
"Don't tell Juliet this, but I like it better when you call me Aus."
"You do?"
"Yeah. I mean, you started it. It was your thing first, you know?"
"Yeah, I get that. But don't worry, I won't tell her."
"And you do know I'll always love you, right?"
"You will?"
"Mhm. You're the mother of my child, of course I'll always love you in some way. I'll always care about you. I hope you know that."
"I feel the same way about you, Aus."
Vic looks into Austin's blue eyes. She notices his eyes leave hers to look at her lips as they sit close.
Austin leans in for a kiss, Vic doesn't stop him right away, letting him deepen the kiss as he puts his hand on her face. She eventually realizes what's happening & pulls away.
"What are we doing?" she asks him.
"I-I don't know. I got caught up in the moment." Austin responds, blushing, looking down.
"We won't speak of this. This never happened. Got it?"
"Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. We should go to bed. Big day tomorrow." Vic says getting up & turning off the TV.
"Agreed. Goodnight." Austin says.
"Goodnight, Austin."

Game Night
Happy holidays everyone! Here's the Carchelle fic I've promised!
Also shout out to @turtlethebean @nobodyisneurotypicalinthebureau because I was also inspired by their headcanon of Carmen being Filipino-American
Summary: Inspired by the Brooklyn 99 5x10 episode Game Night, Carmen finally introduces Michelle and Sanjay to her family after 6 months or more of being together. However, her family’s old-fashioned ideals clash with her definition of what a family really is.
(Also cross-posted on Ao3: Game Night - celestiamirasol - Criminal Case (Video Game) [Archive of Our Own])
Blood is thicker than water, they say.
“Mooomm, how long till we get there?” Sanjay complains in the backseat, holding an elephant plushie.
“We’re almost there, Sanjay, don’t worry.” Michelle chuckles, pulling Sanjay in for a hug. “Right, my sweet?”
“Right…” Carmen sighs, gaze fixated on the taxi window.
In the now former agent/investigative journalist’s lifetime, she had a lot of experiences, some that even cost her her life. It had been 6 months ever since SOMBRA was defeated, and she was glad that the threat of that criminal organization was no longer looming on her family’s heads. But now, it’s time to face the real challenge…
Introducing her family to her real family.
Once the taxi stopped, they all stepped out as Carmen paid. Even though it was the middle of December, there was still a tinge of a warm breeze as they were in the Philippines. In front of them stood a modernized home, which would already seem fancy based on the standards of the country they’re in, but only Sanjay was the one who seemed fazed.
“Wow…”
“Is this the place?” Michelle asked, looking at Carmen, hand holding a huge metal ring attached to the gate of the house.
“Yep.” Carmen sighed. “Just like I remembered. Just bang that thing.”
Michelle nodded as she did what Carmen said, the sound of metal clacking against its own, like knocking in a louder way. Soon enough, the gate opened, revealing a woman who almost looks like Carmen, only with pin straight hair, hooded Asian eyes and honey-brown skin. Her eyes widened upon seeing Carmen.
“Ate Carmen, oh my god!” The woman hugged her, almost pulling her in.
She didn’t seem to notice Carmen’s companions, so she cleared her throat to break the hug. “Michelle, Sanjay, this is my sister, Carmina. Come on in!”
“But - “ to avoid further questions, the older sister strode past Carmina, and she watched as her other visitors followed suit. Michelle smiled at her, while Sanjay waved.
“Mother.” A frail, older looking woman turned her head to Carmen, and she softly smiled.
“Carmencita, you’re back!” Carmen’s mother responded as she stood up to approach her daughter, and Carmen took her hand and blessed as a greeting. Behind her awkwardly stood Carmina, Michelle and Sanjay, and she gestured for everyone to sit down. “How was traveling the world, my dear? Got any pasalubong for us?”
“Well, I took down a huge criminal organization, stopped various nefarious schemes, and almost died in the process multiple times and shit, but before we went home we were able to get some dollar chocolates I guess.” Carmen pulled out a plastic bag filled with some chocolates and set it down on the table.
Her mother chuckled. “Didn’t I teach you to rinse that foul mouth? But thank you so much for this. Carmina?” She handed the plastic bag to her other daughter and she took it, grabbing a chocolate bar from it.
Michelle leaned over to her girlfriend, as her girlfriend’s son was pouting. “I thought those were for Sanjay?”
“I’ll buy him new ones.”
“So Ate, who are they?” While eating a chocolate bar, Carmina pointed to Michelle and Sanjay.
“Oh yeah.” Carmen nervously smiled and shifted in her seat. “Mother, Carmina, this is my girlfriend, Michelle, and my son, Sanjay.”
“You have a son?!”
“You’re married?!”
The two Martinez women exclaimed at the same time. “Who is the father, Carmencita, and how come you didn’t invite us to your wedding?!”
Carmen furrowed her eyebrows. She knew that they wouldn’t understand. “With all due respect, it’s none of your fuck -“
Before she could continue her sentence, Michelle just simply held her hand. “Carmen’s not married, but Sanjay is her son -“
“Carmencita, you’re not yet married?!” Her mother exclaimed, cutting off Michelle. “Why, that is a sin!”
“What my girlfriend here is trying to say is that Sanjay is adopted, Mother.” she tried not to glare at her own mother, who is still seemingly not getting the hint.
“Even if that child is adopted, you still shouldn’t be raising kids on your own! You clearly must have someone!”
“ANYWAY,” Carmina loudly cleared her throat. “You all must’ve been jet lagged from the flight! Why don’t I show you to the guest room so you could rest?
“Oh, of course! Carmina, show them the guest room!”
Carmina nodded and ushered the three upstairs, helping them with their bags. As Carmen reached for Sanjay’s hand, she then realized that she reacted that way in front of her kid, who just simply stared at her with curiosity and a bit of sadness. “Mom, do they not like me?”
Crap, I shouldn’t have cursed in front of the kid. She just simply squeezed her son’s hand. “Let’s talk about this upstairs, okay?”
Even if Sanjay’s been her son for more than a year, Carmen still feels a bit lost at times about the concept of motherhood. He’s 14, which is why there are times where she treats him like a toddler, and there are times where she treats him like a teenager. And while being a mother mellowed her down a bit, there are times that she forgets that she is one and shows her impulsiveness and hotheadedness to others, but she would never do it to the ones she loves.
The guest room was quite big. There were two beds inside, a walk-in closet and its own bathroom. The walls were painted a nude beige, with the occasional Christmas decor inside.
“I apologize for mom’s comments ate, but you adopted?” Carmina asked as she helped settle their things inside the guest room.
“Yeah, about more than a year ago, after one of my missions.” Carmen pursed her lips, glancing at Sanjay. “He was a street kid who unfortunately fell victim to SOMBRA - which was the criminal organization that we hunted down all across the world by the way - and then yeah I adopted him so that he’d be safer and feel like a real kid his age.”
“So long story short, you took pity on him because he’s from the streets?”
Carmen quickly turned her head to Sanjay, who was thankfully preoccupied with Michelle helping him unpack. She closed her eyes and sighed, trying to calm herself down. “I suggest you shut up, Carmina.”
“Hey, I’m not sorry that you decided to become so charitable all of a sudden. But what about Michelle, you two are like, best friends?”
“As I said, she’s my girlfriend. We’re more than best friends.”
“Like ride - or - die type of girl friends?”
“No, we’re lovers, dammit!” Carmen exclaimed, attracting the attention of the other two.
Carmina’s eyes widened. “Ate, we always knew that you were a tomboy, but -“
“Carmina, get the fuck out of our room before I make you.” Carmen whispered. Defeated, Carmina raised her hands and walked out.
“Was she pestering you again?” Michelle approached her girlfriend as Carmen rubbed her temples.
“I just think I need more sleep.”
Once everyone was all settled, they all took a quick nap, with Sanjay in the other bed and Michelle and Carmen sharing the other, cuddling each other. The couple then woke up by around 7 pm, in which the Martinez family had already prepared dinner for them.
“Where’s your son?” Carmen’s mother asked as the two settled down in their seats. “It’s getting late, you should wake him up.’
“And we’re all still jet lagged from the flight, mother. Let him be.” Carmen responded.
After that exchange, they all just simply ate in silence. Finding it awkward, Carmina cleared her throat once again. “Y’know, how about we play Pictionary, just like old times, with dad? I’d even get us some snacks!”
“Oh yes, that seems like a great idea to all commemorate your father, my dear Carmina. Especially since your sister here wasn’t able to attend his funeral.”
Michelle could almost hear her girlfriend’s teeth grinding in anger. She tried to calm her down by placing a hand on her shoulder. “That seems fun.”
“Great! I’ll set up the place.”
As Carmina left to get the things needed, their mother then turned to Michelle. “So, where were you from? How did you and my Carmencita meet each other?”
“I’m half Colombian and half Singaporean, but I grew up in the States.” Michelle smiled at Carmen, trying to reassure her that this night wasn’t going to turn out as bad as she thought. “I uh, originally was an informant for the Bureau until I got hired after a lack of employees after their mole problem, and then Carmen and I got closer while working together, then we simply just fell in love.”
“Oh, so you know who the father is?”
“What?”
“The father of her son!” Carmen’s mother exclaimed. “Carmencita wouldn’t hastily adopt a child without having a husband, right?”
“Mrs. Martinez, with all due respect -”
“Mother - “
“Hey, so this is the easel!” Breaking the tension once again, Carmina came back holding a red children’s easel, which surprised Carmen a bit. “I couldn’t find our old easel, so let’s just use this instead. I even found the old prompts we had! Let’s start?”
The game definitely did help in easing the tension in the family. A few prompts in, everyone forgot the hostility between each other and everything just became friendly fun.
Until Jonah called.
Right beside Carmen, her phone was ringing loudly, with a photo of Jonah and his girlfriend Marina flashing on screen. “Carmencita, who’s that? Are you going to answer that?”
Carmen glanced at the screen and declined the call. “That’s just Jonah. I can call him back later.”
“Is he the father of your son? He almost looks just like him.”
If Carmen was eating or drinking something, she could’ve spit it out by now. “What the fuck, mother? He has a girlfriend!”
“Oh. You’re the other woman?”
“Hell no!”
Carmina placed a comforting hand on Carmen’s shoulder then glanced at Michelle. “Mom, let’s not talk about ate’s homewrecking and cheating habits while we’re playing a family game. We can do more catching up later.”
“‘Catching up?!’ So you’d rather think of me as some kind of mistress and cheater than accepting the fact that I’m gay?!”
“What are you talking about, Carmencita?”
“How about we just focus on the game?”
While the Martinez family was bickering, Michelle fiddled with the piece of paper in her hands. She got the prompt family.
She was mostly an only child, and her parents were never around growing up. Doña Amarga wasn’t a familial figure to her either, since she mostly emotionally abused her and gave her claustrophobia. In fact, the only people that were close enough to family was the Bureau.
Especially Carmen and Sanjay.
Most especially Carmen.
Once Carmina gestured her to continue on with the game, Michelle stood up and took the marker, and drew two women holding hands and a child in the middle.
“Ooh, friends!” Michelle shook her head at Carmen’s mother’s guess and pointed at the women’s hands, her gaze on Carmen. “Friendship!” She shook her head once more and encircled the hands.
“Siblings? Sisters?” Michelle urged Carmina to say the answer.
“Ooh! Tomboys!”
“They’re a family, goddamnit!” Carmen yells at them, currently at her breaking point. She stands up and points at the easel. “They’re clearly holding hands and that kid is their son! Sanjay is my son and Michelle is my girlfriend, like lover girlfriend! Nothing is going on between me and Jonah! God, is that so hard to understand?!”
“...what?”
Carmina sighs. “She’s a tomboy, mom.” “I am not -” “Oh, this must just be one of your phases, Carmencita, just like you were young. But you’re 42 now, so please, act like a mature woman and find yourself a husband. Life’s short, and us women are getting older by the minute, no?”
“NO!” Carmen holds Michelle’s hand, frustrated. “This is not a phase, and I know what I want! If you’re going to treat my family this way, then we’re leaving this house tomorrow!”
“Oh yes, leave, just like how you weren’t there at your own father’s funeral.” Carmen’s mother rolled her eyes.
That was the final straw for Carmen. Just like her, her father was also an investigative journalist. They both covered the war in Yemen together… but only Carmen came out alive.
“Don’t you dare bring that up, he died right by my side!” Tears began to flow down her face. “I couldn’t be there, mother! I almost didn’t want to accept the Pulitzer without him. The Bureau immediately took me in for a mission after our coverage of the war in Yemen… you all held dad’s death against me all this time just because I didn’t show up at the funeral, but we also almost died there! You didn’t even bother to ask or contact me the whole time I was traveling all around the world, thinking I was out on some fucking vacation… Well, don’t bother anymore. We’re leaving tomorrow. Michelle, let’s go pack.”
Leaving her sister and mother quiet, Michelle followed Carmen up to their guest room. She immediately went straight to her suitcase, silently crying as she pulled out her clothes and started fixing them up.
“Hey.” Michelle wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. “I’m sorry tonight ended up this way.”
“No, I’m sorry, Michelle. To you and Sanjay.” Carmen wiped her tears off with her hand. “I shouldn’t have brought you here in the first place. I should’ve known that they would treat you guys like this.”
“They’re your family, sweetie, of course you wouldn’t have known. Sometimes, the people closest to us are the ones who we’d least expect to hurt us.”
That same night, they packed up all of their things, including Sanjay’s, who woke up in the middle of the night. But by that time, Carmen was asleep once again, exhausted from how the night transpired.
“Mom, why do we have to leave early tomorrow? I thought we were gonna celebrate Christmas here?” Since Sanjay slept a long while, he wasn’t able to sleep anymore. Because of this, Michelle snuck the both of them down the kitchen to prepare a snack for Sanjay.
“Something came up.” Michelle frowned. “But don’t worry, okay? Carmen and I will both make sure that you’ll be able to experience the Christmas you always wished to have.”
“Michelle, right?”
The two turned to see Carmina in the kitchen, wearing pajamas. Her eyes seemed swollen, like she had been crying as well.
“Oh, don’t worry, we’ll be quick here. Sanjay just got hungry.” Taking an extra biscuit and returning a washed plate to the plate rack, Michelle took Sanjay’s hand and was about to leave.
“No, no, take whatever you want. You’re still our guests here anyways.” Carmina sheepishly smiled. “Listen… on behalf of my mom and I, we’re sorry about what we said… and how we treated you guys. These things are just simply new to mom, and I just had a miscarriage a few months ago…which caused my marriage to fall apart…”
“...I’m sorry.” Things got quiet when Carmina started crying. All Michelle could do was place a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“...When I learned that ate Carmen willingly chose to adopt and raise a child all on her own, I didn’t know what to feel… and how she was able to have a family like this. A family like you.” Carmina sniffled. “I know I should be apologizing to her especially due to all the things we’ve done, but I don’t think we’re ready. We just… need time to process all of this.”
“All of you need time.” Michelle smiled. “We’ll probably be going back to America, but we’ll be back once Carmen is ready.” “I don’t like how you talked to us and my moms…” Sanjay spoke up. “But if they’re willing to forgive you, then so will I.”
“I understand.” She simply nodded and left the room, wiping her tears.
However, while everything went against Carmen’s favor, that doesn’t mean that it would ruin her celebration of the holidays with her real family.
Under Michelle’s insistence, they transferred to a nearby hotel and stayed in the Philippines for 3 more days before flying back to America. Even when they arrived, Sanjay requested for them to go Christmas shopping in Times Square.
“Remember when we were able to take down SOMBRA?” Michelle asked Carmen, looking at the old crime scene that was now once again filled with a sea of bustling people.
“Let’s talk about something happier for Sanjay, honey.” Carmen smiled, looking down at her son who was eating ice cream. Sanjay smiled back, his mouth messy. She laughed. “Michelle, do you have a tissue?” Michelle giggled too, grabbing a pack of tissue in her bag in which Carmen used to wipe his face. They then walk back to their apartment, wherein when they reach their door…
“The door’s open…” Carmen’s eyes went wide as she jammed the doorknob and noticed that it was loose. Unfazed, Michelle simply urged her to open it. Once she opened it…
“SURPRISE!” Confetti sprayed at the door, revealing Ingrid, Marina, Jonah, Athena, Jack, Elliot, Lars, and even the triplets at their apartment.
“What…”
Michelle kissed her on the cheek. “Happy holidays, sweetie. Let’s have our own game night.”
All of them brought various game boards and food. As everyone bustled to prepare everything, Carmen turned to Michelle, still shocked. She grinned. “Is this why you wanted to extend our vacation?” “Yeah.” Michelle chuckled. “I had to at least give everyone leeway to arrive here in New York.”
Carmen grinned as she watched Sanjay play with the triplets. Even if her own family doesn’t accept her for who she really is, at least the Bureau’s here to make her feel that she actually has people who support her wholeheartedly.
“Carmen!” Jonah passed by, carrying a box of beer. “You haven’t been answering my calls!”
“Yeah, sorry, something came up.” Carmen scratched her head. “What is it that you wanted to tell me?”
“Marina and I are getting married!”
Blood may be thicker than water, but the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.

“Go say hi,” Lisa said to Chris as he held one of his action figures in his hand.
“Mooomm, I don’t want to.” Chris said and pouted, looking over to the new family that was moving in across the street from them.
“You should make more friends. You’ll see them a lot too. Take your brother.” She said and motioned for Scott to come over. “Scott, go with Chris and say hi to the new kids across the street.” She said.
Chris narrowed his eyes and took Scott’s hand, walking carefully across the street to say hello. Lisa followed behind, smiling at your mother. “Hello, this is Chris and Scott, and I’m Lisa. We live across the street. I wanted to introduce these two since it looks like you have one around their age.” She said to your mother.
Your mom smiled and nodded, looking down at you. “This is (Y/N), they’re 7 years old.” She said and smiled. “(Y/N), can you say hi to Scott and Chris?” She asked, watching as you peaked your head from behind her leg.
“Hi,” you said timidly. “Do you want to see my toys? I have.. uh.. I have a few like yours.” You said and motioned to Chris’s toy in his hands.
Chris looked up at Lisa and she nodded, watching as the three kids walked over to the small bin of toys nearby. The three of you sitting together in the front yard of your house would become a common occurrence over the next few years, but more specifically Chris and you. You were in the same first grade class and you two were inseparable for years. Even during the summers, you did theater with him at the community center.
17 years old
“What do you mean you’re not taking me to the dance?” You said into the phone, frowning as you looked down to your outfit, one you spent months looking for as it was your senior prom. Your date let out some excuse about not wanting to go, so you ended up on your own.
You walked down the steps to face your parents. “My date isn't coming.” You said, dejected. “At all.” You said.
Your head perked up when you heard Chris’s familiar voice. “I can take you,” he said and smiled. “You look too amazing to be left without an escort.” He said and looked you up and down, admiring the whole ensemble you had put on for the dance.
“Chris,” you said and smiled at him, nodding your head. “Alright, fine,” you said and came down the steps, taking his arm and letting your mom take a few pictures.
“Oh! You two look so cute together. When are you going to get together?” She asked and you felt a rush of heat on the back of your neck.
“Mom!” You said, your eyes widening slightly.
“What? You two have been best friends since you were 7! You look incredibly together.” She said and shrugged as she took another picture. “I’m just saying, I would completely approve if Chris asked you out.”
“You have no shame,” you muttered and smiled a bit as Chris squeezed your waist. “She’s kidding, obviously.” You said.
“Obviously,” Chris teased and smiled, looking at the camera. “We even match.” He whispered, causing you to laugh softly.
“We do, it’s almost like fate.” You joked and smiled a bit, the sadness of your date ditching you fading away the more Chris sent small jokes and quips your way. You couldn’t help but feel embarrassed because you would completely approve if Chris asked you out too. You would say yes, but you were his best friend and there was no way he would ask you out.
Little did you know that Chris felt and thought the same way. With you standing next to him, in the amazing formal outfit you picked out (which you had droned on for weeks to him, and he wasn’t complaining), laughing at his jokes, he knew that he would love for this to become a reality every day. But he couldn’t say anything, because he was your best friend. And there was no way you would say yes if he asked you out.
27 years old
It wasn’t like you to show up to Chris’s apartment in Boston at 3 in the morning. It wasn’t like you to show up anywhere but your bed at 3 in the morning, but here you were, knocking on his door as you clutched your duffle bag in your hands.
You waited a few moments, wanting to knock again until you saw him open the door. The sweats he clearly threw on a few seconds ago were hanging low on his hips as he rubbed his eyes. Those eyes widened when he saw your state. You had clearly been crying, bags under your eyes, holding the same duffle bag you used when you went off to college.
“(Y/N)… what- what are you doing here?” He asked, the tiredness he was feeling completely fading away.
“Alex broke up with me.” You said, your voice cracking. “We’re not getting married… and we aren’t fiancés… or even dating… anymore.” You said, your lip quivering.
“Oh… (Y/N)…” Chris said quietly. “Come in,” he said quietly and opened the door more, letting you step inside. He took your bag and set it down on his kitchen counter. “Come ‘ere.” He said and took you in his arms, letting you cry into his chest.
“I don’t know what I did wrong.” You sobbed and held onto him tightly, barely noticing his bare chest.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, (Y/N). Alex is an idiot for breaking up with you.” Chris replied quietly and kissed the top of your head.
“No, Alex,” you hiccuped but continued, “said I was clingy and annoying and that I never gave them any room to do anything.” You finished and sniffed, shaking your head. “I didn’t- they never said anything like that before. How was I supposed to know?” You asked.
Chris furrowed his eyebrows and pulled away from the hug, making you look at him. “Hey, you, (Y/N), are an amazing person and if Alex can’t see that, they don’t really deserve to marry you. Or date you.” He said and looked into your eyes. “And I’ll be honest, they never really did.” He said.
You frowned even more, blinking your eyes a few times as you took in his words. “What do you mean? I loved Alex… I still.. I still love Alex. We were going to get married and then in a couple years have kids and then… and then our lives would be good.” You said.
“You can do that with someone else, (Y/N/N).” Chris responded, wiping away a few tears from your cheeks.
“With who? I built a whole life with them.” You said, glancing down but looking right back at Chris when he paused. “See? You don’t even-“
“With me,” he interrupted, letting his hands drop to hold yours in his instead. “With me, (Y/N). I’ve been an idiot. I’ve liked you ever since we were 17 and your date left you alone for prom. No, I’ve loved you ever since then.. before then even. And more than a best friend. As a partner. As someone who I want to spend the rest of my life with. To love, romantically, and to be there for when you’re upset or happy or anything as long as I get to be there for it.” He said and looked into your eyes. “I’m in love with you.”
Those words made more tears well in your eyes, but not from sadness, from happiness. “Really?” You asked and did your best to smile when he nodded. “Chris…” you whispered, not being able to respond from the amount of emotions flowing through your body at the moment. You wrapped your arms around his waist, burying your head in his chest again. “God I love you too… I’m in love the you.” You muttered quietly and pulled away when you caught your breath. “I’m in love with you.” You said clearly, looking in his eyes.
“Then why are you still crying?” He asked and you let out a small laugh.
“I did just get out of a 4 year relationship with my fiancé.” You quipped, sniffing and smiling when he chuckled.
“Come here, baby,” Chris whispered and pulled you into his chest again. “We can talk later. Right now, come lay in bed with me and we can cuddle until you fall asleep.” He said quietly.
28 years old
“Okay.. now you can open your eyes.” Chris said, smiling as he slid the blindfold from your eyes.
You took in your surroundings, noticing that you were standing in the front yard of your childhood home. In the same one, and the same spot, you had met Chris all those years ago. “Chris.. are we here for dinner with my parents?” You asked, confused as you turned around to him, gasping as he was down on one knee.
He took one of your hands as he started his speech. “(Y/N), 21 years ago, on this day, we met in this very yard. And I couldn’t be happier for that either. My mom pushed me to say hi to the new kid across the street, and if she didn’t, I wouldn’t have met the most amazing person in my life. I wouldn’t have met you. You’ve been my best friend, and the love of my life for all those years. Please, make me even happier and marry me?” He asked, pulling out a ring from his jacket.
“Oh, god, Chris, yes.” You muttered, not even waiting for him to stand up before you got down on the ground and kissed him deeply. “I love you so much.” You whispered against his lips and kissed him again, laughing when he pulled away and asked if he could put the ring on your finger. “We gotta get you a matching on.” You noted, grinning from ear to ear as you heard his laugh ring out.
“I love you, (Y/N). And I always will.” He reminded you again before planting another passionate and love-filled kiss on your lips.

a/n: I told you guys if you kept asking about Wrecker and Rina I'd saddle them with a mortgage and kids. Enjoy some nice domestic fluff. Thank you to @fakegingerrights for giving feedback on this. Blue divider is by @saradika
Warning(s): blink and you miss it talk of kids hearing things they shouldn't, fluff, mom!Rina, dad!Wrecker, blink and you miss it talk of family planning
Exuberant shrieks echoed down the hall as a trio of children attempted to evade their captor. The youngest of the trio lagging behind with his fits of giggles slowing him down. As soon as his target was close, their pursuer closed the distance.
“Gotcha!” He roared triumphantly, hoisting the squirming child in the air.
With one already captured, the girls clambered towards the kitchen to find sanctuary, hoping to lose their pursuer under the table and chairs. Both children slid under the dining table and shared a grin. Heavy footfalls drew closer to their hiding place.
They were stock still with baited breath until the groan of wood sounded while the underside of the table rose higher. The girls squealed upon seeing their captor's grin. The sound of a throat clearing brought four sets of eyes to regard their spectator.
“Bed time, smols.”
A chorus of groans answered her.
“Mooomm,” Whined the oldest of the trio, “we aren't tired yet.”
“None of that, Lana. We already did ten more minutes.”
The trio looked to their pursuer in their game. The table still held aloft with one hand. He shook his head as the children attempted a coordinated offensive.
“Oh no, you aren't givin' me tooka eyes.”
With their plan a failure, the little ones huddled by their mother. The table was set down as if it were a paper weight. He soon joined them, noticing her lingering gaze. Her smile grew as his shoulders gained more of a swagger with each step. The oldest girl pursed her lips at her mother's rebuttal. The woman arched her brow at her daughter, a challenge for tempting the boundary.
“You could stay up, but I know Uncle Hunter and Aunt Kimber aren't going to take tired little ones with them to the festival.”
The murmurs of excitement from the group of children was enough to let her know that she had won.
“So, jammies and bedtime. Even your dad and I are turning in early.”
The large clone remained quiet, mostly due to his inability to lie. Thankfully Rina had him covered with this weakness. Their three little ones planted themselves in front of him. The youngest immediately reached up and made grabby hands. His facade cracked and they knew it.
“Alright, com'ere you.” He chuckled, scooping each one up in turn.
Lana scrambled to take her place on his shoulder while he held the younger two in each arm. Happily accepting their transport to a shared bedroom, their laughter still heard from the kitchen.
Rina sighed softly, shaking her head before joining them, pausing to pluck up toys that had been scattered along the living room from their three child strong tornado. They were definitely his children.
Upon reaching the doorway, she paused to watch. Their girls had already changed into pastel nightgowns already crawling into their beds as the hulking form of their father fussed with dressing their smaller son for bed. Despite his larger stature, Wrecker was quite deft when he wanted to be. If he knew back during the war he'd be happily married with little ones in tow afterwards, he'd call you crazy. Yet here he was. Three little ones all smiles and laughs. He would do anything for them.
After finishing, he picked up his son. His smile growing when he felt a hand rest on his arm.
“All good?” Rina asked.
He nodded, “Yeah, no problems at all.”
The large clone crossed the room in a few strides, soon setting the toddler in his own bed. A protective gate to keep the little one from rolling out in the middle of the night clicked into place with a gentle tug from the clone.
Rina started at the other end of the room. Same routine just like every night
since they welcome their children into the world. Lana was the first with a hug, a bid to sleep well, and once a doll was presented before the woman, Rina placed a kiss on the tooka doll followed by a forehead kiss. Their middle child, Mira, patiently waited under her covers for her turn. Another forehead kiss, a kiss to her own tooka doll, and a soft good night. It was when Rina circled the room to their son that Wrecker crossed the room to offer his own good nights to his girls.
Soon everyone was seen to, and with the light snuffed out the parents departed leaving the door cracked, as agreed. The adults shared a glance. Their hands sought each other out. Fingers entwining as they walked to their own room.
“We didn't do too bad did we.” He stated, once they were out of earshot and in the privacy of their bedroom.
Rina smiled, “Not too bad at all. You've even stopped treating Gunner like he's primed.”
His chuckle rumbled in his chest as they changed clothes, “He's not as little as he used to be.”
Rina hummed, sliding under their sheets with the mattress dipping when he joined her.
“Pretty soon, we won't have any babies in the house anymore.”
His arm coiled around behind her back bringing her against his chest.
“Could always have more.”
Rina laughed, pressing a kiss to his cheek, “Maybe....but let's at least wait until Gunner's three.”
He frowned as if he were mulling it over, “Okay.”
She shook her head, “If it happens, it happens. Let's at least get through tomorrow. We'll have a bit of time to ourselves.”
He hummed, keeping his lover close leaning down to press a kiss to her lips. She returned his kiss before the pair settled in to surrender to sleep.

Lana bolted awake as thunder clapped outside the window. She rubbed her eyes to shake off the sleep as she looked around. Mira was awake as well gripping her own tooka doll, casting a nervous gaze to her sister. Gunner whimpered with another thunderclap booming outside.
The eldest regarded her two siblings, “You okay?”
Mira nodded, “u-uh huh,”
“Scary.” Gunner whined.
Lana bit her lower lip. The room only had a sliver of light from the hall, and thankfully that was enough to keep out monsters according to their mother. They should be able to regroup somewhere safer.
“Mira.”
“Yeah?”
“You wanna sleep with mom and dad?”
The middle child nodded, closing her eyes for a moment, “I don't think they're wrestling tonight.”
“Wrestling?” Gunner asked.
“Yeah, they play their wrestling game after we go to bed. Mom's really good at it.”
“Either that or Dad lets her win.” Lana cut in.
Mira shrugged, “Maybe they take turns?”
Lana threw back the sheets and crawled out of bed. She dropped her tooka doll in front of Mira, “Carry mine? I'll bust out Gunner.”
Mira nodded watching her older sister approach her brother's bed bars. Lana cracked her knuckles and exhaled a breath before grasping the bars with both hands. She yanked on the bars with a grunt before trying again. The bars remaining in place despite the little girl pulling like her life depended on it.
“Come. On. You. Stupid. Thing.” Lana gritted out in between tugs.
A tiny hand reached out from between the bars curling around her own.
Lana huffed halting her attempts, her gaze snapping to her baby brother, “What?”
He pointed a chubby finger towards the far side of the bars. A latch clearly visible with another latch on the opposite end. Lana frowned, planting one hand under the top of the bars to keep it from snapping down on fingers while she quickly opened the latches. The bars lowering as she set it down. The youngest all but jumped into his sister's arms. One hand holding a death grip on a tooka doll of his own. Lana began rubbing his back in circles just as she had seen her mother do so many times before.
Mira crawled out of bed joining the other two at the door way. A tooka doll in each arm. With a glance to each other, Lana took a breath swinging the door open and taking the first step into the hall. The eldest child's stomach fluttering with nerves. What was it Uncle Hunter said? You can be brave, but that doesn't mean you aren't scared.
The trek down the hall seemed to stretch on for the trio before they ended at the door to their sanctuary. Lana caught the attention of her siblings, putting a finger to her lips. They nodded in return and Lana pushed the door open. The sound in the room could easily belong to a snarling monster, but thankfully this noise was a welcome noise. Another reason why their parents' room was monster free and the safest place in the house.
“Do you think dad snores loud on purpose?” Mira whispered.
“Think so. Monsters don't come if they know he's here.”
The trio crept further into the room heading closer to the source of the snoring. Three pairs of eyes trained on the king sized bed as they scope out their approach. The two oldest children exchanged glances before Mira jostled one of the sleeping forms. the stream of snoring halting with a harsh inhale.
“Dad, it's really scary outside. Can we sleep with you and Mom?”
The large clone grunted, his lips smacking.
“Yeah, sweetheart.” He grumbled, his grogginess adding more gravel to his voice.
With approval granted, Mira was the first to climb into bed. Tooka dolls set aside in favor of helping their smaller sibling up. The two crawled into the open space between both adults while Lana hefted herself onto the duvet with no issue. After a few instances of swapping places, all three settled in to sleep. The safest place in the galaxy for these little ones to rest easy.
