Twst fest 2023 live stage readings (notes)

During the “Twisted Wonderland Festival” event that was held on August 20, 2023, the voice cast (sans Kouki Uchiyama, the VA for Idia Shroud) gathered together and delivered two live readings for the audience. As attendees were not permitted to take recordings of the event, some of them very kindly went and wrote down what they remembered hearing after they returned home. I've translated and compiled some of what they wrote in this post. This information comes from a number of different tweets, summarized notes, and anonymous discussion board comments. As we can’t presently be certain what dialogue and whatnot reported here is incorrect and what is verbatim, please take all of this information with a massive grain of salt.

Lastly, please do not pester any of the sources I listed for more information.

Live Reading 1

Featured Characters: Epel, Vil, Jack, Floyd, Azul, Riddle, Silver, Lilia, Cater, Kalim

Scenario: The characters recollect the different hometown events and make plans for summer vacation.

The scenario begins with Kalim, Riddle, Cater, and Silver sitting in the school courtyard, talking about where they’ll be going on summer vacation. The other students come over and join them as the discussion goes on. (The order is described differently in different accounts I read, so this might be out of order.)

Lilia and Vil said they had a great time in Sunset Savana, and Silver talks about the rabbit run race he did in Deuce’s hometown. Floyd says he wants to compete in a cool race, too, and then Epel talks about the sled race from his own hometown. Silver says Sebek seemed to have enjoyed himself on that trip. Thanks to the cuckoo clock Sebek bought him as a souvenir, he’s been able to wake up on time. (TL note: they said he literally said the clock pecks him?? Does he just put it by his bed and let the bird jab him in the face?? Dfgdfg). Epel is glad to hear Silver liked the clock so much.

Vil says that sled race does sound like fun, but it takes place in the winter, so they couldn’t take part in it during summer break. Harveston gets nixed as a summer vacay spot.

At some point Vil starts talking about skincare and sunburn prevention, and Epel says he thinks getting a little burnt looks kinda cool… maybe. Jack isn’t concerned about sunburns, but he does start talking in detail about preventing heat exhaustion (might be a reference to what happened during Tamashina Mina).

Vil asks Riddle about tourist spots in the Queendom of Roses, but he only suggests a bunch of “boring” places like court houses and libraries. He says there’s so many you wouldn’t be able to go to them all (during summer break).

After suggesting a bunch of different places, they eventually decide going to the beach would be a good idea. Azul and Floyd propose the Coral Sea but get rejected since the water is too cold there even in the summer. They talk about what they could do at the beach. Silver suggests they split open watermelons, as he learned from his father that it’s a legendary form of training. Silver offers to bring the watermelons. Jack agrees to come along (not because he wants to go have fun with them or anything!! (tsundere))

Kalim says they should all go to his place (his family has a private beach? And a beach house?). Azul gets excited.

Azul: So we’ll be going to a millionaire’s hom- I mean, you’re always so incredibly kind to me, Kalim-san, I would love the opportunity to meet your parents!

Floyd teasingly asks Riddle if he even knows how to swim and offers to possibly teach him.

Riddle: How rude. I’ve memorized a number of swimming instruction manuals, and in theory, I can swim just fine! (he doesn’t indicate if he can, in practice, swim though.)

Lilia suggests the pop music club boys put on a live beachside show.

Lilia: If we’re all going to the beach, I’ll need to make sure to wear that genie t-shirt Malleus bought me!

Silver: The first thing you need to make sure you do is stock up on sun screen.

Other random notes people included:

Azul wants to rake in the dough at the Asim’s beach clubhouse, but Floyd doesn’t want to work. Cater thinks a beach clubhouse would be totally Magicammable though.

It is mentioned that summers in Briar Valley are cool

Lilia says he wants to wear a stylish swimsuit

Epel would sometimes get excited and slip into his local dialect, then get flustered, and quickly switch back to standard Japanese.

Live Reading 2

Featured Characters: Malleus, Sebek, Ace, Deuce, Ortho, Leona, Ruggie, Jamil, Jade, Trey

Scenario: The characters compete to see who can come up with the best menu for a competition being held by the school cafeteria. They split into two teams: Trey, Jade, Malleus, Sebek, Ace, and Ortho on one team; Leona, Ruggie, Jamil, Rook, and Deuce on the other. The winners will be able to get as many add-ons/sides with their meals as they want for one whole month.

The scenario begins with Ace, Deuce, and Ortho talking together in the cafeteria. They come across a flyer for the aforementioned contest and being talking about it. Malleus and Sebek come over and join them. Since it’s a school event and he wants to learn more about the kinds of things humans eat, Mallues is interested in taking part in the contest. Sebek enthusiastically says of course they will take part!!

Sebek suggests the following menu:

The other students start coming over and join the discussion. Jade somehow ropes Jamil into things, and when Jami tries to escape, Rook appears and stops him (he holds his arm or something).

Trey is with Rook, and Malleus bids them to sit next to him. Ortho looks at Jami, Jade, and Trey and gets excited since they’ve all “maxed out their cooking skills”.

Jade: We’ll all be sure to try our best [in the competition].

Jamil: Would you stop saying ‘we’!

Ruggie and Leona appear. Ruggie says there’s no way he’s gonna let them get their hands on the prize.

Jade (smiling): Oh? But we’re certain to emerge victorious, considering the members on our team.

Ruggie: I ain’t gonna sit around when there’s free food on the line!!

Leona: Yeah, well, I am. Least until today's lunch break’s over.

Some sort of spat occurs between Leona and Malleus (no account I read describes it further than that), and Rook steps in to split everyone up into two teams.

Malleus’s team: Trey, Jade, Sebek, Ace, and Ortho Leona’s team: Ruggie, Jamil, Rook, and Deuce

Malleus’s Team

They talk about how bread/pastries sold in the foothill town sell out it minutes. Ace, Ortho, and Sebek wonder if it’s because it’s a limited deal that they sell out so quickly. Jade says when they have limited time and limited quantity deals at Mostro Lounge, those products end up becoming popular. Mal’s team decides on a menu based on “limited quantity”.

Leona’s Team

(I mashed together this convo from two different posts so the lines might be out of order)

Leona: Okay, theme’s gonna be meat. You guys come up with the rest.

Jamil: How about we spice up the menu a little? Add something extra?

Rook: We can flambé the meat in front of the students. Meanwhile, I shall perform a song by their one side, while Jamil-kun dances at their other!

Jamil: What!? Why me!?

Deuce (or Ruggie? Same lines are reported for both of them) : That’s a great idea! He’s great at dancing, and he can rap, too!

Ruggie: We got this in the bag!

Jamil: Now you listen here…

Leona (laughing) : Ain’t hospitality Scarabia’s whole thing? Go on, dance.

Jamil: Please, stop! You guys are taking this too far!

While all the students start talking excitedly about their menu plans, Ortho looks at the flyer again and he looks sad. Deuce and Ace ask him what’s wrong, and when they go to look at the flyer with him, they realize the competition already ended a while ago!

Delicious In Dungeon Marcille Faces: Episode 2

I couldn't help it. Our little adorable girlfailure is just too goofy and silly to not want to share the dozens of different faces she dons in just a single episode. Endlessly grateful to Trigger for all the expressiveness, and to Marcille's VA (Hayaka Senbongi) for delivering a near perfect performance.

So just finished watching the ep so review. Spoils ahead:

So the episode was ok to me, solid 6/10 one of the better episodes which since this was supposed to be an "extravagant" ep why does it got better quality than the main eps, idk Viv has her moments like this ep and other eps its a train wreck in writing ect.

Mammon worked on my nerves, from design to his movements, personality ALL of him was annoying, which props for an annoying Villian but its Villian I never want to see back again and he's hinted for some sort of return.

Side tangent: Mammon is like the how many-ith Villian to get a return ep/hint at one. It was 1st cherubs, then dorks, then stella/ice twink, striker/crimson now Mammon & according to the leaked storyboards a ghost guy that tries to talk IMP into off-ing themselves... its a flipping lot and cherubs & dorks seem to be forgotten dispite dorks knowing & having hard evidence they exist, flip Viv chill it with your Villian of the week cos its way too many now.

Anyway, Blitz didn't need to be in this ep besides the flashback. Ozzie got him to talk Fizz out of being Mammon's puppet but ultimately Ozzie spoke him out of it & gave him courage to quit/confront Mammon. Even Blitz being a bodyguard/killing people for Fizz could've been any imp. Blitz is starting to feel like Steven from SU, in every ep even tho the ep doesn't need him/ the episode surrounds topics a wee child shouldn't be in (i.e Lapis trauma dumping on Steven & he a child isn't really equipped to handle that situation).

My fave part of this ep was Ozzie and Fizz. Ya'll I legit prayed Viv wouldn't mess these two up and my prayers were answered. Absolutely a joy these two were. Fizz especially what a darling. Loved that small scenes with him and the deaf imp child, l dont know sign language but it looked genuine animated and was just sweet moments.

From their interactions, Fizz's panic attacks/self doubt felt & were genuine... I felt that as someone that has panic attacks from high stress on my studies/life. It was just handled well. Fizz feeling less than and needing to prove himself from 1. his past 2. his appearance, that accident affected his self image/worth so much (why I felt him forgiving Blitz was too hastily done but I digress) & 3. him doing this Mammon contest still to gain/earn Ozzie's love for him cos Fizz believes Ozzie only sticks around because of this fame Mammon gave Fizz. Ozzie finally saying what he loves about Fizz was lovely, wanted that in the 1st ep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Their song was... I didn't like it BUT the message in it was beautiful. Lastly Fizz saying fuck you to Mammon from the courage/strength Ozzie gave him was a nice send off... also Ozzie saying he loves Fizz ah ngl that made me smile agh I just love them. I want to see them more than the Stolitz show but thats only a wish. Props Viv, you get 1 brownie point not messing this up.

Last findings, the ep was bloated as hell my soul Viv please stop cramming so much in an ep, this one is 30 mins long & yet still felt bloated. Pacing was a motherfuka damn it was bad & the swearing was jarring (its a Viv written ep I don't expect any less but still gonna point it out) and the comedy wasn't so prominent in this ep, Blitz/Mammon gave some comic relief but in the best and worst ways:

The way the VA delivered this line "to be fucked" made me laugh, the line is cringy but the delivery lol gold

Aand Blitz, my soul shut the fuck up & get out this ep. Last ep & this one he said something so agonizingly cringe I pulled my face

The world of HB is legit American hell or earth just painted red since Fizz named all these places in America just "hellified" where his fans come from.

And very last, congratulations Salem glad you got the cathartic send off you deserve from working under Viv, truly fuck you "Mammon" indeed :) also glad they credited you this time.

Hello, Can we be friends please?

"You didn't have to cut the call like that."

Hearing your whining voice, the boy in front of you laughs out aloud earning a glare from you. He leans forward to ruffle your hairs, making you more annoyed.

"But I'm really sorry for that...I was half awake and didn't know what I was speaking so don't mind me if I had said anything weird." He pouts in the end.

"It's okay. I was asking why you told me that I have studied in that school since middle school but actually I have studied there only high-school. Do you know if something happened during the time when I was sick?"

"not really...I was a transfer student and I heard from you that you studied there since middle school. We used to sit together and gradually we became friends but why are you asking these all of a sudden?" He creases his brows.

"just asking." You sigh and look down to your smoothie.

"Y/n..."

"Gyu...I thing those CEOs are hiding something from me." You haven't look up but you can feel his stare on you.

"What makes you think like that?" he places his chin on the fist.

You pause and think of all the previous months, "Gyu...I started to get along with some of them who seem pretty friendly and they told me about our friendship a lot but every time their words felt like as if they were hiding some part of the story. And also..." you look around and leans forward to whisper, "I am remembering everything...and it's not like those dreams anymore. I can totally remember how I have spent my times with them. I can now see their faces and remember their voices and everything."

You are taking medicines for last one month and it's really helping too fast to regain your memories. The doctor told you that it's only because you are surrounded by the people who are part of the memories. Their presence, their voices and their images are colliding with the barrier and making your past vision getting cleared.

"Like...everything?"

"not really...all the happy and fun times are there but still something is missing."

"Maybe there is something...bad and if anything triggers your mind then you can remember the rest." He raises his brows and you nod, "maybe possible."

"Do you want to remember them?"

"I don't know..."

"Hey Star!" your cheering voice startles the girl who was earlier busy talking to the receptionist and it looked as if it was pretty much important. She waves the woman away and run towards you to engulf you in a hug. You smile, "you are here? You didn't inform me about your coming."

She laughs, "Actually, I was here to deliver some of my father's document on my way to studio so basically there was no point in informing you." She glances at her wrist watch and sighs, "also I'm running late so gotta go y/n. Fighting for the day."

Nodding to her, you watch her almost running towards the glass door, her heels were about to slip at some point but still she is a person who will fall a thousand times but will not be on time anywhere. Shaking your head, you remember that Yeosang had called you earlier because he needs some help with his assigned paper works and well you as his secretary oh-no bestfriend should help him.

He asked you to help him as his dear friend not as an office worker-secretary.

You push open the glass door to his cabin only to be greeted by a silent room with no one inside it. You crease your brows and stepped inside, approaching the bulletin board to see if he has left any sticky notes about his whereabouts but nothing is there. You glance at all the previous notes still sticking and the various little characters drawn by him in the corner of various colour small papers -he refers those drawings of tiny characters as hehetmon. A little smile appears on your face but you were yet to notice that someone is standing behind you, very close to you that he himself is surprised.

The corner of the person's lip curls up too when his gaze falls on the same thing.

"He never wants to hurt you."

You get startle to the voice and quickly turns around, placing your clutched fist above your heart and wide eyes staring back at him, "when did you enter?" as much as you are gathering courage to ask him a question, deep down you are more freaking out with the fact that it's him who is standing so close to you and alone in this room.

"why do you ask?" he asks in a low voice, one hand fished his pant pocket. His white shirt perfectly hugging his body and your eyes really not leaving any corner of his body to appreciate them. Blinking away the thoughts, you look back at him.

He is smirking at you and you fight the urge to roll your eyes, "I must believe that you all are some kinds of vampires at this point because I don't hear a sound when you all sneak behind me. you all have same behaviours at this point."

"we are brothers though."

"what? Brothers?"

He rolls his eyes, "well sort of." He walks to the chair opposite to the main chair behind the table and swivels to your direction. "living together for so many years and getting adopted by the same man. yes we are brothers. But to tell you one thing, Jongho is my real brother though."

"Do you have fever?" your feet are still glued to the exact same place and he smirks when he heard your question, "why?"

You gulp and avert your eyes towards the door and hope to Yeosang come but no one comes across.

"what happened? I asked you a question."

"you...you are talking normally to me. this doesn't feel right. I mean like it's nice that you are being good to me but still..." you look down at your shoes and cursing in your mind for blabbering nonsense.

He chuckles, "y/n, look at me. are you scared of me?"

You shake your head but he is moving his head in every direction to get a glimpse of your face, "then why are you not looking at me?"

"Um...I need to find Yeosang..."

As you stepped forward, he blocks your view with his frame and smiling down at you. Your every movement is restricted by him. nervousness visible on your face, his finger curls your locks and tugs them behind your ears. Heart beating in your ears, blood pumping to your face due to the close proximity. "San..."

He leans forwards, humming in your ears "say my name again, pretty girl."

Should I say that I remember this name? Pretty girl...

"San...I need to go."

He holds you close, embracing you in a warm hug. Why is he acting like this suddenly? What happened to him? you slightly push him and step towards the door. His eyes go wide with the sudden action but he smirks while fishing his palms inside the pocket of his denims.

You look back at him for once before exiting the door and heaving a sigh. But to your dismay, he exits the door just behind you.

"do you need something?"

"yes...you."

You stare at him for a second before making your way towards Hongjoong's office. Yeah, that's the only safe option for you. No one would dare to do anything if he is around but why this person is acting like someone has possessed him. even when he is acting nice towards you, his actions are creeping you out.

The steps quicken but you can feel him trailing just closely behind you. A wide smile visible on his face, eyes following your each panic and nervous steps and turn towards the Hongjoong's cabin. You are now confused because you thought him to go away when knowing the known path but he is still in his way, following you.

Reaching near the red door, you pause and stare at it, questioning whether to enter or go anywhere else. He stops in his track and leans against the railing behind him, he is just a few feet away from you. You nervously glance between the door and him. when you are about to knock, his voice interrupts you.

"Enter the room...he knows you will be here."

Is he fooling with you?

"why are you following me?"

He starts laughing and brushed his hair back, "I can do anything in my office and you are my personal assistance so the boss can be with his assistant anywhere. Maybe doing anything. Also-"

You couldn't take any more from him, so without knocking you push open the door and are greeted with three persons already inside the room, staring at your direction. You send a smile towards them and awkwardly move forward but they are curiously watching your form.

Yeosang is smiling at you from the sofa and pats the place beside him and you approach him. Hongjoong standing behind his desk, is still in a serious mask but when he catches your eyes at him, he smiles back and Seonghwa across from him—well his expression is unpredictable. You don't actually know what he is feeling or why he is staring at you like this but you are sure about one thing that you are definitely freaking out inside because of his presence. Earlier, San was not enough that you have to face this man as well.

There is a really something about Seonghwa that is making you nervous.

"what happened, y/n?"

Hongjoong breaks the awkward the moment between you all and you shake your head, "ah..it's nothing." You turn to your side, "I was searching for Yeosang but he was not there in his cabin."

"oh! Yeah, I have given those papers to Jongho. No need to worry for that."

You nod with a smile.

Entering the room, you felt a tensed atmosphere inside the cabin and with you here, it's seemed to be more heavy air for breathing. The door opens slowly and enters the uninvited one. As if you are invited. Well, the first thing he did, winking to your direction and going towards the bookshelf near the wide glass view of the city. You glare at him but he is enjoying your silly expression and smiles at you again.

What is literally wrong with him?

Is he planning something to get rid of you?

Of course not. Right?

Hongjoong notices the interaction between you two when he suddenly said, "what is going on between you two?"

"Nothing!" you said too loud earning chuckles from two, Hongjoong raised his brow and having an amusing look and the last one enjoying the situation a lot.

"Joong, there's a lot going on in your office."

"what do you mean?"

"My pretty girl is being a curious one these days and asking about the childhood stories from others. Why?" he said and flips the page of the book in his hand.

Your ears perk upon the words coming out his mouth. Why is he saying it like he is suspecting you for something? Seonghwa smiles and stands up, he takes off his coat and walks towards you. You are attentive to his actions. He nears your form and kneels down in front of you, placing his palms over your knees. You awkwardly smiles towards him and glance at Hongjoong. Why is he not stopping him?

"do you remember our past?" he asks you softly. You lick your lips and bit the lower lips. Yeosang caress your head with a smile on his face, urging you to speak.

"I...no...nothing..."

You lied. Even if you can remember a lot of things but yet you are confused and don't feel like sharing anything with them.

"but you were asking about us." He tilts his head to the side.

"I was just trying to be friends...again."

Yes. That's true, even if you started to get to know them out of curiosity but gradually, you are feeling close with them. They are really making you feel like the most important part of their life. It's not good to hide from them. It's been days, oh wait it's been months that you are staying here with them. You have become some of their best friends all over again. There are some things you remembered. And also, Some things you need to get clarified.

"that's good."

You nod to Yeosang.

"Hongjoong...you asked me if I remembered something from my past right?"

"Yeah..."

"I can." You look at four of them preciously and gulp, "I can remember our friendship."

You add,"not everything...but a lot."

Hongjoong has a mixed expression on his face. You search for a particular emotion over his features but all you get is a tension visible.

Is he scared of something?

Seonghwa's grip on your palm above your thigh tightens to your words and Yeosang is shocked to hear the confession. But there is one person whose expression is unexpected, San. He is blankly staring at you but when he caught your eyes, he smiled at you. Now, it's your time to get shock. Why is he smiling?

"As far as I can remember, we were good friends...really good friends." You stare at Seonghwa, "more than just...friends."

"Y/n..."

"Can someone please explain me how come this happened?"

Seonghwa quickly asks, "what happened?"

You remain silent. You don't know how to say it. Previously, you didn't want to say anything about this to them. You were unsure of the facts being true but when you got to remember them, their memories, their every touch, their smiles, their laughs and their confessions. You are sure that all those are not just some dreams anymore but some realities that you had to forget for some reasons.

"y/n...please tell me."

You place your hand above his with a smile, "Hwa..." his breath hitches with you calling him with the nickname, "I was in relationship with you...all."

"love..." Hongjoong's voice is heavy and low but it's audible to all of you. You stare at him and lick your lips. He slowly steps forward and stands behind Seonghwa, "you remember us?"

You nod and cast a glance towards San. His gaze is fixed on you. Yeosang scoots closer to you and side hugs you with a smile. "we are together again. Now no one can separate us again, right?"

"but I want to ask you all one thing."

Hongjongs folds his hand above his chest and nods his head but a little smile visible on his face.

"what are you all hiding from me?"

"no-"

"Joong, you are. Even if there's these nice memories of ours but still there are these blur scenes which are itching inside me. Please tell me."

Seonghwa cups your one cheek, "it's better not to remember those things. Please, we are relieved that you remember us again but we are more than happy that you can't remember those parts."

"Is it that bad?"

He hesitates to reply but smiles, "yes. Please don't force yourself to remember it."

"I won't." you pat Yeosang's hand around you, "But if I remember them naturally, then?"

They are silent.

You suddenly laugh at them and they stare at you confusedly.

"what happened?"

"why are you laughing?" Hongjoong asked and furrowed his eyebrows.

"lets forget about this topic." You remove the arms from around you and also, remove Seonghwa's hands from your lap to step towards Hongjoong. Standing just in front of Hongjoong, you extend a hard towards him, "friends?"

He stares at your hand and blinks at you, "friends..." He holds your hand with a wide smile across his face. "but why are you asking this suddenly?"

"I want to start our bond again. We should start our relationship again from the first step of friendship. So, we are now friends."

He smiles at you but when you turn around, you come face to face with someone whom you were trying to ignore these days. Your heart ache to see him after confessing the truth to them. Tears welling up in your eyes. His every word, every affection, the love you shared, the times you spent, holding hands with each other, the smile you shared, the affection which is still lingering on your skin is burning all over your body and inside of your heart.

"Yunho..."

[I might be ending this series soon coz I have few other series going on and I have ideas for plots for them but Idk how to continue this one. this series might seemed a bit of rush though.]

18th March 1945. First flight of the Douglas AD/A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft. Rugged, long ranged and able to carry up to 8,000lbs of ordnance, it arrived too late for the Second World War. Skyraiders saw extensive use in Korea, and despite being gradually replaced by jets, continued into service in Vietnam.

1) Prototype XBT2D-1. The aircraft was optimised from the outset for ground attack, with a long loiter time, armour protection and the largest possible payload.

2) An AD-4 Skyraider of (VA) 65 launches from the carrier Philippine Sea for a combat mission over Korea in 1951. It was during the Korean War that the Skyraider solidified its reputation as one of the finest attack and close air support aircraft ever built, though over 100 were lost in combat.

3) A number of Skyraider variants were developed, including an Airborne Early Warning (AEW) platform. These were used by the Royal Navy before the arrival of the Fairey Gannet in 1960. The same AN/APS-20 radars from the Skyraiders were first used by their replacements, then on the Shackleton AEW.2 until 1991! In this photo, the first aircraft are being delivered in Glasgow, November 1951.

4) Although US Navy Skyraiders flew their last mission over Vietnam in early 1968, the ‘Spad’ continued in operation with the USAF until 1972, covering Search and Rescue missions. This aircraft, pictured in June 1970, is carrying a typical mixed load of gunpods, rockets and bombs in addition to the 4x20mm wing guns. Incredibly, Skyraiders shot down two MiG 17s, but 266 were lost, almost all to ground fire.

Julien @ Deep Groove Records Richmond, VA

Over the weekend, I stopped by Deep Groove (well, the alley next to Deep Groove) to catch a performance by Julien Baker.

I stayed near the back so I could make sure the bike I was too lazy to lock up didn’t roll away, and I’m so happy I stood there. We did miss out on quieter moments, but Baker’s voice emerged clear and resonant and triumphant again and again, and it turned into this incredibly inspiring group experiment in active listening. During songs, people were silent. Cars drove by and the wind picked up here and there, but none of the humans assembled to see Baker made a sound while she sang. It was inspiring.

The quieter moments helped me soak in what I was seeing, from the gentle slope of the alley to the way Baker’s expressions grew more pronounced the further into songs she got. It was like a cycle — the song would build, the lyrics would overwhelm, and those of us in the back would hear the climactic words loud and clear. It’s amazing how smooth and consistent those loudest notes were. Even though they delivered the most emotional words, her singing was as steady as it could have been. That alchemy that turns turmoil into strength via music — she’s got it down.

3.5. THE WAY THE LYRICS PERFECTLY REPRESENT HIS INTERNAL CONFLICT AND HIS ARC??? SO GOOD!!!

4. THE MV??? CATCH ME CRYING

To conclude: Triage is in my top 3 Milgram songs, I love it so much!! It turned Shidou from a character I didn't care about to one of my favorites!!!!!

-The scene with Shidou and his family… yeah don’t talk to me I’m so emo about it.

-The arc Shidou goes through during the song?? It starts with “why did you vote me innocent I don’t deserve it” to “I’m going to do my best with what you’ve given me.” Is really cool and I don’t think it’s talked about enough!!

-The final “I want to live!” Enough said. Shidou’s voice in general just fits this song really well.

-It gives a really good motive for Shidou, and helps you feel sorry for him. (Easiest inno vote of my life!)

the acoustic section where it just feels so raw and emotional it's crazy also we love to see mappi/miho okasaki rapping again and good lord mahiru delivered hadauwd, like you think about it a lot? like "Ishokujuu plus ai Miss you Raishuu aemasuka no Cadence Yurusarenai ikigai mou iki mo dekinai" it's also so catchy just "Dai- dai- dai- datte suki suki! Dai- dai- dai- datte daisuki."

it's such a quick song but it delivers and it DELIVERS WELL there's so much in the instrumental you can also miss, like sirens and such! again guitar section it's crazy!! i didn't even touch on the visuals, like the visuals are absolutely amazing and really touch on the toxic cycle of mahiru's relationship for example, the carousel turning into a forest! and also they were still able to implement some of tihtbilwy in the beginning of the song! we got to see mahiru's boyfriend as well!! additionally, RATS AND CAKE. HOLY SHIT we all know the absolute shock that appeared on everyone's faces the second that cake turned into a rat (to be honest, I was absolutely sick with shock for the rest of the day) It's really amazing as a song and MV, plus it did help give some more information on Mahiru!

miho okasaki's vocals are so powerful. it sounds like mahiru is screaming because of not being forgiven and because of what happened to her boyfriend and because "she can't just do it right".

THE LYRICS ARE SO. "clothes food shelter + love and miss you"?? "my lethal weapon is how to be in love with you"?? "kiss goodbye to this feeling cuz it's too heavy"?? again, the "why can't i just do it right" line?? SO GOOD.

MAHIRU RAPPING. THIS SONG STARTS WITH HER RAPPING. LITERAL CHILLS

i've heard the i love you chorus once and now it's in my head forever. i wake up, i sing the i love you chorus. i go to sleep, i sing the i love you chorus.

the lyrics are so sad when you start thinking about them more. "saying i love you but doing what i did, i know i have no right, crossed and covered in sin"?? please, don't you want to give mappi a hug. please she deserves it. she needs it

the "DIE-suki" pun.

the mv is so. i can talk about it for hours. it literally starts with showing us what happened to her bf. i've watched it live, i knew about this part and i still was shocked. mahiru's boyfriend is dead. mahiru is also rapping. also, the lyrics. this scene is terrifying to me and i mean it in the best way possible.

the cake symbolism. mahiru refusing to accept her reality and the true nature of her relationship with her bf and still seeing everything around her as cute and soft and pink. her feeling guilty and not knowing how to express love properly and still choosing to continue to love in this way. i don't know, something about it is so.. it's so sad and so realistic and so heartbreaking

i love how we can say so much about her relationship with her boyfriend based on mv and the lyrics. this is more of a theory and i probably shouldn't talk about it but i like the fact that mappi and her bf's relationship wasn't just abusive or one-sided love or anything like that. it's like they loved each other, they just.. didn't know how to show it or express it in a healthy way (or maybe mahiru's bf did know, but he was okay with going through all of this for her). like this scene when they're both riding the carousel and looking happy at first and even when both of them look like a mess, mahiru's face expression is still pretty much the same while her boyfriend looks much more tired, but he's still smiling. something about that part breaks me.

the instrumental is so fun and chaotic and creepy please listen to it. all milgram instrumentals are great but ily instrumental is definitely one of my fav ones.
