Roy loves to hold hands
Absolutely adores it
It makes him feel close to his partner, let’s him feel connected and soothes his protective instincts when out amongst crowds.
It’s not about whether his partner needs that protection, Roy just needs to provide it and being allowed to hold their hand lets him keep them close and move them when necessary.
Keeley had understood intrinsically what his holding his hand out meant, they hadn’t even needed a conversation about it, she’d just taken his hand or his arm, or both, and stayed close.
He has to chase Jamie anywhere they go
Not just because of his knee, but because Jamie is a butterfly. Socially and in his flitting rapid movements as his mind leaps from one thought to another
Amsterdam had given him a taste, but they’d just been friends then, and barely at that, now, as boyfriends, (they’re keeping it quiet for now, though all the important people know) he’s chasing Jamie so much he debates getting him a leash for outside the bedroom
He can recognize that holding hands in public isn’t keeping anything quiet, but he longs for the feeling of Jamie’s fingers slotted with his, the warmth of his body against his side as they walk and Jamie chatters about whatever that days hyperfixation is.
So he starts holding his hand out. Quietly, never remarking on it, or demanding anything, just waiting to see what Jamie will do.
It takes a few days before Jamie starts handing him things, a flower, his ticket for the movie, and on one memorable occasion a wad of cash to pay for dinner
They’d genuinely fought about that one, Roy is a provider at heart, and he always pays. Always.
Then slowly, carefully, Jamie starts to inch closer when they’re out.
Lingers at Roy’s side a little longer, and then a little longer than that.
He naturally moves to the interior side of the sidewalk now, let’s Roy open doors, pull out chairs, and Roy just steadily holds out his hand, waiting.
Jamie brushes their pinkies together, links them for a moment that nearly stops Roy’s heart before he’s distracted by a window display and then off rambling about a topic Roy didn’t catch, feeling like all his blood rushed to that one finger.
Jamie is never shy when they’re alone, or amongst the team, but out in public, out amongst strangers, he’s skittish.
Roy understands and it’s still infuriating, he’s not as chill about keeping their relationship “quiet” as he once thought
He’s proud of Jamie, that’s his lad, and he wants people to know that they’re together, that Jamie is not in fact up for a quick tumble, and will never be again.
(That ring in his sock drawer feels like a physical weight sometimes, but it’s too soon, he’s going to do this right)
But he’s trying not to pressure, not to move on his own timeline and run over Jamie’s.
So he just holds out his hand and (not so) patiently waits.
It’s after a match, they’d been nearly beaten off the field, pulled a win by the skin of their teeth and they’re all stiff and exhausted as they make their way home.
The crowds are still thick, Jamie still had his muddy kit on, got caught up with Beard and Rojas and just laughingly said he’d shower at home.
Roy is a few steps ahead of him, even though they’re going to the same place, and on a whim holds his hand out behind him.
Jamie locks onto his hand like Mjolnir to Thor, and their fingers lock together with an almost audible click, Roy’s heart nearly leaps from his chest, and Jamie uses the leverage to pull himself to Roy’s side, holding his hand and leaning into him, sweaty and muddy and grinning, and Roy can see the flashes of cameras and the click of phones and he can’t care, because Jamie is holding his hand and grinning up at him like he set the sun, and Roy is absolutely going to break out the bedroom leash when they get home.
Maybe even that ring in his drawer.

Photo dump but I am obsessed. It was my birthday yesterday and my fiancé bought this Plex Zarbon for me and ahhh…he is just so pretty. His croc form does not get nearly enough love. How Bulma found him repulsive like this is beyond me, he’s gorgeous. The shading is beautiful, the range on the armour and all the folds on his clothes and shoes. His cape is amazing as well.

"I don't recognize anyone by that description."

always loved how good the Doctor is with her words. they're always so precise and exact, to the point and not giving room for a loophole of any kind

ABOUT HAIKYUU!! Movies and Fukurodani
i’ve been thinking A LOT about the Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka match and whether or not it’s gonna make it to any of the two movies we are getting
I just think there’s a lot to put in just two movies, unless they are like 3 hours long each
And I just hope really really hope they don’t take that away from us gaaaaaahh like there’s a lot going on in that match!!!!
• Akaashis internal monologue, and his self consciousness, and how he is really passionate about volleyball
• Akaashi calling Bo a star,
• AKAASHI SMILING AND LAUGHING!!!
• Bokuto being so so freaking awesome and yes he’s a star,
• the crowd cheering for him and bo adores it,
• Konoha being a little ass ignoring bokuto and tossing to Sarukui instead
• Fukurodanis coach and Suzumeda considering Akaashi is a weirdo too
• Akaashi just being so fkng proud of bokuto and could you blame him,
• all of bokutos tender smiles when he tells akaashi his tosses are the best
• THE WE ARE THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE WORLD LINE !!!!! AND WHAT IT IMPLIES
• Akaashi crying after their match,
• Bokuto being there for him rebutting his rebuttals
• the whole team watching them
!!!! THERES A LOT GOING ON AND I DONT WANT IT TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM MEEE
ALSO little akaashi and bokuto AND their first time meeting with akaashi being awestruck by the star bokuto koutarou is aaaaahhhhhhh

Last Line Tag War
I was tagged by @suchaladyy @wileyonce @realmermaid333 @cosmic-lullaby and @beri-allen all in like the last day lol
Here’s my last (two) line(s):
But Wednesday followed him, leaning in to chase his lips in avoidance of the question.
“Uh-uh,” Tyler quickly brought a hand up to grab her chin, stopping her. He needed to know.
Place your bets now - is this SLH, the unnamed control wip, or a secret third thing???
I’m tagging all of you back! Plus the bestie light of my life @the-strangest-person who will soon have time to write once more (!!!), my beloved wife @onlyangelxo, my dearest @nonamemanga and queen of my heart (and private tutelage) @ourdramaqueen

Sorry for the vent I need to put my thoughts somewhere or else i'll explode probably maybe
Why is it so hard for older people to accept that I have no interest in any kind of relationship? I feel like I'm being always looked at with sone kind of expectancy for when I eventually "show up with a boyfriend"- It's hard, honestly.
I may be closeted, but it was always here. Ever since I was a child, I always hated to play with dolls and especially when my friends would force me to play "mommy & baby"; I always let the other girls care for the baby dolls while I was just sort of there, in the background, trying to find something to do because playing the role of mom & wife even in child-play felt absolutely wrong to me.
Moving forward. I'm a teen and all the girls around me are talking about crushes or "when I grow up and marry-" or "oh my god, I kissed!!", I'd be left out. I never actually understood it and for the longest time I did think romantic love was a made up thing to be used in books, and people didn't really feel it, they just... could fall and un-fall in love as they plsased.
They'd ask me who my crush was, and I'd kind of just choose the most random, conventionally attractive guy that everyone else crushed on. That was it.
As we got older and I'd hear girls talk about guys they slept with, and even about girls younger than me getting pregnant, I couldn't believe it. Why the fuck would a teen willingly sleep with someone? In my head, the only use for sex was to have a child, not for the pelasure (I actually can't believe that is even real. I'm a sex atheist. Fight me✨️✨️✨️), so why would a teen ruin their whole life so early?? Why??
I used to think I was a lesbian, since I never liked any boy at all. Then I noticed I actually didn't like girls either so, was I bi or pan? When I learned about the term "aroace", I was hesitant to embrace it, but I did start using it. I first told my best friends at the time and they didn't help at all. They were all like "I bet you'll find someone" or "you're just confused" and, since then, that is all I hear- safe for like. 3 people irl who actually respected me and I couldn't be more thankful.
Now I'm legally an adult. Never experienced any kind of feeling towards anyone. What I thought was actually love, was pure peer pressure. Grew up insecure in my male friendships. And I still get those pityful looks from my family, from time to time.
How old will I have to be, for me to be taken seriously? Now I'm 18. When I'm 30 and still single, will they believe me when I say I never liked anyone? When I'm 40, maybe? When??

thinking abt how stampede handles wolfwoods introduction compared to other versions, and to me it kind of fails in a way. one of the big things about wolfwood's character is that he's kind right? he's a good person who was forced to be cruel. they show his soft side by having him interact with kids. it plays out a little differently depending on version, but essentially he sees some kids having a rough time and sacrifices smth (money or food) so they can be more comfortable. its esp poignant in trimax where they were literally stealing from him so it would be understandable if he got mad, but he isn't at all. and this follows the scene of him haggling with the driver, so we know for a fact that wolfwood is not in a good place.
meanwhile in stampede, the the kid wolfwood interacts with is zazie? and at the end of the ep its revealed that they know each other, that wolfwood is working with knives, etc. so it just makes that earlier scene look like a setup, at least thats how it seemed to me the first time i watched the ep.
it also feels a little less genuine than the moment wolfwood had with the kids in the other versions, i'm not sure why. maybe it's because the scene goes by too fast. or because of how different wolfwood is in stampede (he’s so much meaner than his past versions!) so the kindness we see here is just. obscured by how bitchy he is in half of his other scenes. if i'm to believe wolfwood is a good guy, i need to see him be good sometimes idk?
vash's comment about him being good in ep 4 is so jarring to me because it feels like he has zero reason to say that. ik it's maybe not supposed to be 'reasonable' since he doesn't even give an actual reason aside from the ~his eyes~ thing which is not logical at all lmao, just based on vibes. and i do sort of trust that vash has good instincts and can tell when a person is trustworthy or not based on vibes. but when i watched it as someone unfamiliar with the original trigun, unaware who wolfwood was, i was confused as to why exactly vash decided to trust wolfwood aside from maybe his general faith in humanity. the nicest thing wolfwood does is give the kid a lollipop which is sweet but in this context it doesn't have the same effect as giving him his money or smth (and as i said the effect is kinda retroactively belied by the fact that its zazie, not some rando he has no connection too).
to be fair, his intro scene serves other purposes in stampede. we learn about wolfwood's past in the orphanage, which is important to introduce because his arc with livio is addressed later in the season. it also ties into vash's new internal conflict in stampede about eating and self flagellation and stuff. but that ends up being kinda detrimental to the scene too? instead of saying something normal to the kid that makes us go ‘aww hes good with kids!’ it literally just feels like he’s talking to vash, which he would not be because wolfwood has known vash for 5 minutes atp. obviously im not expecting stampede to copy the scene from the manga or 98, but the fact that they included an analogue of it means to me that they're obviously aware of how important it is to wolfwood's character. still, they managed to execute it in a way that sort of fails to communicate something i personally consider fundamental to his character in any version.

Also I think some of what I’m saying in this post also comes down to how I characterize Donnie, and my interpretation of him from the show and how I translate that to my own writing. Donnie is a really emotional kid. He cries a lot. He yells a lot. He smiles a lot. He gets both excited and frustrated easily. His emotions can cause him to act in ways that are irrational or counterproductive (Witch Town being a great example of this), no matter what the logical side of his brain may be thinking.
I don’t think Donnie particularly likes being that emotional. If it were up to him he would clamp down on all his feelings like Leo does and never show anyone anything. I mean he talks about himself like that, saying things like, “I don’t normally feel things but that one got through,” or calling himself an “emotionally unavailable bad boy.” I see a lot of his sarcasm and cynicism as the mirror image of Leo’s puns and one-liners: an attempt to hide how he feels behind humor, just a different flavor of humor. It’s just that, unlike Leo, he’s not actually good at regulating his emotions or lying or using social cues to his advantage. So we get a whole lot of Donnie being really clearly super emotional about things, and then pretending he wasn’t just doing that. Or maybe not even realizing how transparent he is.
Donnie is just having a lot of really big feelings all the time. And in my fic he is most definitely having a lot of really really really big feelings (that’s three reallys). So if you’re picking up on him acting weird then don’t worry, that’s intentional :)

So y’all probably don’t understand so here is what’s like- happening also this is really cringey 😔
So I’m.p not using punctuation because it takes time and I’m too tired to so ye. So in 2022 I stumbled upon a website called Quotev which is social media and- after a few months after not having an account I decided to make one. I think it was created on October and for those who don’t know— Quotev is a website where you create stories, quizzes, and polls. To be honest I’m pretty sure that at-least one of the people that read this have visited Quotev and taken a quiz or read fan-fiction. Ok uhhhhh back to what I was saying. So I started making quizzes and a bit of polls and then I made some friends/moots and I think my first moot was Angie which was really hard to remember considering that it was back then, but I can say is that my conversations with them cause a vivid memory of quotev’s chatting system. Then I made friends with serinity which is probably the person that I bonded most with, speaking of serinity, she has a friend named I think moon? Idk but the only thing remember is it being space related and we bonded over the time serinity was at her grandma’s. And I Fr thought that serinity died but turns out there was just bad Wi-Fi and she made and alt. There was also froggy toast which was just basically frog in a bread costume. That’s about it, I’m not going to go into extra detail but yeah, that’s it.

I can’t believe I gave so much of my time and energy to a person who would say things like “I’m not worried about those things” when I would say that I have issues with his actions, behaviour and words. Like huh? You’re not worried and that’s just great, but there’s two of us in this relationship, like jesus fucking christ.

Very curious about Shelby stating that she's surprised she was even invited due to her apparently not being popular. And her immediately apologising for the incident where she struck Barnabus with lightning.
I wonder if her powers, since weather manipulation is quite a big deal, used to be more out of control due to her not being as good as reigning it. Hell, she still can't recall storms.
Seems to be the kind of thing someone could be outcasted for, especially if people really don't like the rain.
