"the Gabe and Sally dynamic in the show is abusive" and "the way they've portrayed Gabe in the show is distinctly different from his book counterpart and fans can criticize that" are two discussions that can coexist
#I understand that this is hard topic to navigate#but me saying that /they've changed Gabe and that's consequently altered the dynamic he has with Sally in way I don't like/#is NOT me saying I don't think what they've portrayed onscreen is non-abusive#or that I WANT to see him abuse her???#its just the guy in the show while clearly controlling and abusive (emotionally and financially so far)#...I don't believe he's the guy who's presence was so horrid and disgusting MONSTERS avoided him#I wouldn't call him /Smelly/#in the book his abuse (all forms) is much more overt#(and just to be painstakingly clear: abuse doesn't have to be overt to be abuse)#but the guy in the show does not have the same presence as the guy in the book#book Gabe is menacing#he growls and he threatens and both Sally and Percy have developed very specific responses to deal with it#I've seen one take saying that people can't recognize the abuse in the show because its not physical (yet?)#but even disregarding the physical abuse entirely#if you compare the book scene and TV show scene of Percy arriving home and he and Sally readying for Montauk#there is a pretty stark difference in tone#and in how both Sally and Percy interact with Gabe#in the book Sally goes out of her way to avoid /provoking/ Gabe and asks Percy to do the same until they can leave for Montauk#and Gabe is just itching for any excuse to keep them home#and imo if Book Sally had said the things that show Sally did to Gabe#Gabe wouldn't have let them gone!#and again im not saying that the show's depiction is nonabusive#or unrealistic#im saying its simply /different/ than the book#and im upset that it doesn't feel like dynamic depicted the book#and no book sally is no simpering wilting flower#but she's also not what they depicted in the show either#pjo adaptation#sally jackson#pjo

guys i just watched episode 5 of the pjo show (ik i'm late, my brother and i watch it together and we've both been busy)
and i think it's my favorite episode so far so here's an incomplete list of things i loved about it
the percabeth hug. obviously. and grover just awkwardly breaking the silence when it went on a LIIITTLE too long? an icon fr. 🫡
the FBI looking for them. i was kinda worried they weren't gonna include that part cuz it wasn't super plot relevant but i'm so glad they did. hoping percy calls out gabe on live tv like he did in the books. that was funny as hell.
the way they just...walked down the highway? how long had they been walking when ares showed up? were they just gonna walk all the way from st. louis to LA? i have so many questions 🤨🤨
along that same vein, they way they hid behind the barrier and popped their heads up to talk to ares? peak comedy. i mean, stranger danger who? never heard of it.
skipping way ahead. annabeth geeking out at the amusement park cuz of the architecture and technology was so in character. that's my girl. 🥲🥹🙏
hephaestus's life story being told on the walls in lights was so fucking pretty. and how percy knew it all from the stories his mom told him?? 💔 breaking my heart as he spoke.
"maybe she was preparing you. so when you got to us, you'd be different than this." i'm so happy that annabeth is also a member of the stan sally jackson club. i welcome her with open arms 🫶
percy once again sacrificing himself for his friends. the way they're building up his fatal flaw is so effortless and wonderful. and then how hephaestus tries to manipulate annabeth into leaving him there by promising her glory. i really love the writers' commitment to fatal flaws as a motif in the story.
just...annabeth trying to save percy in general. got me crying fr. 😭😩 they're soulmates your honor.
"he isn't that way. he's better than that." need i say more? 🥲
also grover girlbossing ares that whole time, getting info out of him? what an icon. 💀 i feel like grover is slept on in this fandom and i won't stand for it anymore. and aryan is doing such a brilliant job. a hero among men. 🫡
also i was not expecting to actually see hephaestus but i kinda love how they're including more gods? idk i just think it's fun seeing the interactions and all their personalities.🙃
anyway, there's so much more i could write but that's what i could think of off the top of my head.
i can't way for next tuesday. i'm gonna be so insufferable after the lotus episode. if we get a subtle nico and bianca cameo i'm gonna lose it.

PJO 1x01 and 1x02 thoughts
The first chapter monologue in the perfect way to open the show and establish Percy's voice from the beginning. Walker immediately nailed both Percy's sarcasm, impertinence, and anger, which is so so so critical for anchoring the show.
how dare you waste megan mullally like this (she's coming back later according to previews BUT STILL)
direction in the first episode, especially with the action scenes, was a little lacking. percy killing mrs. dodds was weirdly anti-climatic. the car chase could've been a bit more exciting and the minotaur was okay
I LOVE YOU SALLY JACKSON, BEST MOM ON THE PLANET.
I have seen some posts about Gabe being defanged but he's clearly still an abusive waste of space. The dude is answering her phone, unemployed, gambling away her money, it's red flag city up in here. Curious how they're going to show him in later episodes and what they'll do with the Medusa plotline.
Grover is one of those characters that I have very little emotional attachment to. He's just sort of... there in the books for me. But Aryan's a little cutie and he does a great job of acting like he's just a little bit older/mature than Percy. Loved his little back and forth with Sally in the cabin. Deeply underutilized in the second episode, but obvs he'll get more time later on.
is the dryad his mom???
I adore the set design for camp, especially the Big House and all the stained glass motifs. But WTF is up with all the skeletons in Cabin 3? get a better interior designer poseidon you fucking weirdo
Jason Mantzoukas' energy for Mr. D was perfect, no notes. Did love his interactions with Percy and Grover.
Chiron is... there?
Clarisse is perfectly cast. Luke is underwhelming so far, but he really hasn't gotten to do anything real meaty yet.
I'm ready to see more of Annabeth in future episodes because she really didn't do much more than lurk and be cryptic since they gave her role as guide to camp to Luke. (I am not a fan of this decision, but whatever, gotta set Luke up for ~ultimate betrayal)
Her exasperated shove of Percy into the lake was A+ but why was the trident so damn big lmao
Loved loved loved Percy's burning anger at his dad and wanting to make him show up. Excellent characterization
"I am Sally Jackson's son!" dead dead dead tell 'em perce
curious as to why the episodes are limited to 45 minutes because i think another 5-10 minutes on the runtime would've helped with some of the pacing issues. but the show's clearly cut with commercial breaks in mind so i'm guessing this is eventually going to air on the Disney Channel or ABC.

okay okay im finally finished with both eps and here's my genuine opinion
the cast is 10/10, every single one of these kids knows exactly what they're doing and WHO they are, i can't imagine anyone playing each character better than them
the slight change in Sally and gabe's dynamic gave me a bit of whiplash at first, but the second time watching it, i kinda really dig it better than the books
the way they're portraying percy's feelings of inadequacy and the whole "i know I'm broken, i don't need you to make up stories for me"? fucking devastating, but it fits so fucking well (i can't remember if this is shown as deeply as it's shown here)
sally jackson is the most badass mfer and i fucking love her she is the godly parent fuck poseidon
it's been said before but sally calling percy perseus when she wants him to listen >>>
LOVED how they gave us the impression of percy having riptide while facing the minotaur, only for them to take it away (not really but percy didn't know that) and having percy face the minotaur book style rather than movie style
ANNABETH SAYING PERCY MUST BE THE ONE I SCREAMED
i am fucking loving the way they're doing percy's rage, like maybe it's bc i don't remember it as clearly in the books, but it's so raw, and walker does an amazing job portraying it, but the whole part where he offers food (a thing meant to be for gods) to SALLY, king behavior fr, and that monolog about making his father see them?? actual goosebumps
leah does such an amazing job portraying annabeth's indifference and apparent arrogance, i can't explain how much i love her, like she does it so subtly, it's just little gestures, but she IS annabeth chase (this felt especially cooler after seeing her in interviews, where she's actually really shy irl)
im not going to lie here, and like im sure it was done on purpose anyway, but i am feeling it kinda rushed, and I get it really! they won't waste time in the many chapters spent during camp introducing the world to us, when they've got few episodes, and the whole quest to showcase instead, but like, i would have loved to see percy training with luke (and besting him) and annabeth showing percy around camp (second time we've missed that) and idk just some fun little details, but like i said, i understand why they HAD to rush the intro, so I'm not upset about it or disappointed, just smth to notice
having said that, i really did love the bit of luke guiding percy through several activities trying to figure out his "calling", the callback to percy's horrible archery skills is 10/10
annabeth's yankees cap is fr a yankees cap and im crying
i nearly forgot, but im loving the nightmare sequences, i love how they're keeping the "voice" so faceless and shapeless, but just a light in the darkness of a nightmare, and really it's a great figure, bc a light in a nightmare is usually a good thing, it's the thing you run towards, and it's usually smth that helps you, but here, the light in the darkness is anything but good (quite literally) and he literally taunts percy, and fuels his fear and bitterness, and ugh I love it
the whole capture the flag sequence is 10/10 as well, i can't explain how much this healed me, just like annabeth leaving percy to be bored to death on his own, when she was right there, the transition between luke's "percy's got this" and percy doing the fucking floss dance? cinematic masterpiece, and like the fight sequence was really well done and crafted much much better than many others that rely on slow mo or weird angles, like the fight with clarisse and her spear was gold
dior's scream as percy breaks clarisse's spear alone deserves an emmy
leah portrays annabeth so effortlessly and naturally, I've said it before but i love her
i got like 10 seconds of annabeth interacting with percy and i can already see them together forever ahdjdj
overall 10/10 will rewatch again and again and again bc I'm in fucking love even if it does feel a bit rushed at times and there was the same lack of the hellhound as the movie

My personal list of criticisms for the series because if I don't put these somewhere I will actually go crazy in my room within the panopticon. I thankfully saw some other people share their lists and here comes mine.
Here I'm looking back at the episodes with the perspective of the viewer who knows what has and has not been properly used.
I rewatched the whole thing so this is EP1 through EP8.
🔱 Episode 1:
The ADHD & dyslexia rep stops episode one like it was forgotten about. It will become a pattern.
I am very, very bitter about the introduction of the "not everyone who looks like a monster/hero is actually one" through Perseus' story because in the context of Percy's life, he is - at least in PJO - a hero. Don't make the boy doubt himself more.
If they did introduce the "looks are deceptive" idea, I fail to see why this was not alluded to later with Luke.
I feel like neither Nancy nor Mrs. Dodds are really given screen time enough to actually showcase how much of an impact both have on Percy's life.
I still hate everything they did to Gabe's character. RIP Sally's Jackson empowerment story.
Blue food. They never really explain why it's significant.
They had budget to showcase Percy's dreams but instead of obvious enough dreams with animals it's Exposition.
Sally knows too much. They messed up her role as a character by taking away her book archetype. She's going from The Guardian to The Knowledge Keeper to The Victim back and forth.
Percy figures out too much too quickly. It has been discussed back and forth, so just putting it down here.
They mention the Minotaur smelling Percy but they never use it to explain Sally's unnecessary marriage? Potential lost.
Looking back at the Big Bull fight, they really don't let Percy act. The luring trick is his thinking, not Sally's. RIP the horn getting stuck and torn away. I can't exactly believe a young teenager had the power to break off a giant horn, in the rain, in the dark. Bad execution, the tree trick is a way to showcase Percy's wits.
🏺 Episode 2:
I wish they let Percy be dark-haired desperately. Hair color swap is bad design-wise because there's already one recognizable curly-haired blond in the series (Will). It's just a disservice to the actor.
RIP blonde 'Beth. Annabeth being wrongly seen as a "dumb blonde" is half of her character's thing. If they thought it no longer worked for her, they needed to play off another "perceived stupidity" stereotype.
Ugh I wish they let Percy be alarmed around Dionysus because in the book his gambling & "familiarity with alcohol" trigger Percy's PTSD.
Percy's PTSD is not a thing.
So, after the entire season: They had no reason to hide Sally's survival from Percy. Them doing it never got mentioned again. Traumatize the boy some more why don't you.
Luke's speech about the importance of glory doesn't work because his failed quest is never mentioned.
I think Clarisse is a miscast. She's pretty whereas in the books it's sort of the whole thing that she's "big, ugly, and mean-looking". She's one of the examples of deceiving looks as we learn in SoM and later on. Making her pretty just makes her lose purpose.
RIP showing friendly interactions or any true bonding with Luke.
All of that talk about Annabeth's wits and strategies in EP2 only to have it never play a major role in the rest of the season. Told you it's a pattern.
🐍 Episode 3:
Annabeth's story keeps getting decimated. There's so much talk about her closeness to Luke, but there's no showing it.
Ugh, I dislike how they keep making Mrs. Dodds so neutral - enough to just tell Annabeth everything? This is a whole new character.
The Medusa reveal still sucks so much, the tension & suspense are just non-existent.
Upon rewatching, I'd say Medusa overall was a decent monster because she barely did anything but it felt like the entire story was offered up on a silver platter and got resolved too quickly.
"You can't ship the head off" makes no sense, none of Athena's arc makes sense in this show. They established that heroes earn glory through mighty deeds (such as killing monsters) and established that Athena cursed Medusa. Percy is for once right.
Overall, this is the episode where Percy's starting to take up the Exposition Character role and I really don't like that.
🌊 Episode 4:
RIP book Sally Jackson I loved you. Sally's starting to go down the "showing visual frustration towards her neurodivergent child" which is a) utterly out of character b) breaks down her arc even more.
The Furies, the Minotaur, and Medusa are not children of Echidna. The monster's great despite looking extremely boring, but her motivation being personal doesn't work in their specific case; they didn't kill any of her kids.
Small complaint but "a temple is a temple" isn't exactly making much sense. We just established Athena-Poseidon rivalry, we just announced that Athena's place is safe for everyone and protected from Poseidon's earthquakes. The idea to call upon a rival God sounds stupid.
Athena's portrayal is just horrible. She was written badly in the books, like most women, but the show's literally saying: Yeah she would gravely endanger her kid for the "mistake" that wasn't even hers. And... it is never brought up again.
Making Athena such a bad mother while Poseidon goes out of his way to save his child from death seems a bit eh.
I. Am. Tired. Of others. Telling Percy. How and what to feel! Please let the guy discover things on his own.
🏛️ Episode 5:
I will die on the hill of "Annabeth is not supposed to be the one to see the Fates and no, her closeness to Luke does not matter" especially when her and Luke's connection has been buried!
It's Percy's quest, it's his prophecy to handle, it's for him to witness the yarn being cut. It's for him to put things together. I do not get why they keep switching Annabeth and Percy's places in the plot.
So, the fugitive twist is abandoned and never handled again. This is a pattern.
It makes absolutely no sense for Annabeth to be talking back to Ares when she knows who he is and how powerful he is. They keep making her play Percy's part and him - play hers.
I mourn Annabeth's geekiness over architecture. The sole time she seems entranced by something that distracts her is Hephaestus' mechanical wonders which is engineering but not exactly book Annabeth's focus.
I am pretty sure Ares doesn't hate his children in the book, he's just a hard-to-impress dad that lets his children fight their own fights. Making him "hate his kids" added zero weight to his character.
Why is Percy mansplaining mythology to Annabeth.
"Seaweed brain" doesn't work when he just explained a myth to her while she stood there listening as if she has never heard it before.
Ares doesn't really have an impact on the three that he had in the books. This was supposed to be the moment Percy first learns his mom's alive. Since Ares was messed up later on too, I call it lost potential.
🎲 Episode 6:
There's no real reason to suspect Ares or Clarisse in the theft, that scene/realization are lazy cop-outs. They do not begin to suspect Ares unless they literally find the bolt.
Lotus Casino my detested. Worst case of "they already know it" that I've seen in this show. The Casino is meant to be a trap, they are not supposed to know where they are going.
Suspense is nonexistent. They literally figure out the lotus-eaters the moment they step into the place, this is boring!
"Wise Girl" doesn't work when they spent less time letting Annabeth talk the smart talk than Percy.
It has been said a multitude of times but the Casino is boring.
"If you don't know what chances do I have" pretty high ones because they've been writing you off as the wise boy, Percy.
Personal pet peeve: I heavily dislike Hermes' casting.
Hermes' scene is far, far too early in.
Arcades are not too old to put into a 2023 series, VR is lame.
Why is the "is it because of me?" scene so awkward, why are they making Grover feel guilty/implying he's guilty. It was literally not his fault.
Hermes' involvement is so messy, there's absolutely no reason for him to hold them back in any way.
THE SOLSTICE PASSING MAKES NO SENSE, IT DIMINISHES ALL STAKES, AND IT DOESN'T EVEN CHANGE ANYTHING
💀 Episode 7:
It has been discussed deeply but everything about Procrustes' scene was done with utmost laziness and letting him live when he was just proclaimed a murderer makes absolutely zero sense.
RIP Sally Jackson's entire character. Show Sally is not above stressing her 9 year old out, getting visibly annoyed by his "outbursts" (they are really tame), putting the blame on him instead of explaining things to him in a calm manner, and raising her voice at him. Not only is this directly polar to her book self, but it also finalizes the show's destruction of her character.
The Underworld: ugly, incomparable with the book's version, boring. All that CGI and they could only pull up a LOTR movie Isengard.
RIP court of Kings, RIP Fields of Punishment, RIP actual Asphodel Meadows, RIP Elysium. The Underworld is done lazily.
Sally Jackson would never let her child think she's getting rid of him. It baffles me that she's not explaining anything to Percy.
This is not Hades and you cannot at a gunpoint make me accept that this is the terrifying, glorious, intimidating God of the Dead that puts awe into Percy Jackson and terrifies his own child. This goofy mf is not Hades, this is clownery. Another utterly decimated character, entirely off-point.
"These grudges go on forever" is hilarious (/neg) to hear from a God whose children are canonically stated to hold grudges as a fatal flaw. They really can't get the single clearly depicted person right.
Percy single-handedly figuring out it's Kronos with no clues is undoubtedly the worst part of the whole season. Go home kids, there's no tension anymore.
I hate how little Annabeth matters in this show. Her tie to Luke is severed, Percy does her job retelling the myths, she's not obsessive about her interests, and she's not even there with them when the biggest revelations are made. Her sole function is carrying the invisibility cap around (and apparently her friends can't even explain that to Hades). The show has killed Annabeth as a character and it's sad.
⚔️ Episode 8:
Sword lessons are far too late in the season, they would do much more impact building Percy and Luke up if they happened earlier.
I know that in the book Ares' curse is largely forgotten about, but they could have easily included it into the fight.
I feel like Percy has never been explained that monsters don't exactly "die" because not once does he seem surprised that Dodds is back.
Olympus is ugly!
The whole Luke reveal is a mess. Percy jumps to the conclusion far too fast, his sole direct argument it is Luke is the shoes, but he realistically has no other reason to assume Luke's the traitor. He has just given Percy the reason why he kept quiet about Clarisse. Percy and his Super Knowledge I guess.
Luke having a portal-opening tool at hand ruins the whole purpose of Thalia as a character and narrative function.
RIP Annabeth's arc.
Oh, Gabe's story line is horrible. We know they purposefully made him non-abusive (c), meaning turning him into stone doesn't really do anything. Like, you just killed a guy; an annoying but non-threatening guy. Lame.
My overall impression was more negative than positive.
My main complaints regard Richard himself for his shameless misleading promotion and poor writing, the casting directors for missing the "vibe" with too many characters (actors have certain types of charisma and this show is hit or miss with them), the producers for slacking off with prioritizing CGI where it doesn't need to be, and for costume designers. Whoever worked on the Camp sets did a decent job, but the Underworld and Olympus suck so much it's unbelievable.
Doesn't work as an adaptation for me. I wouldn't give it more than 2/10 - only for some set designs.

Thoughts on Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Episode 1!
- I’m so glad that they’re using chapter titles from the book as episode titles (and I feel very proud that I actually predicted seven of the eight episode titles for this season last year)!
- Love the opening scene with Percy’s narration.
- I feel like some people are forgetting this, but the scene of Ms. Dodds attacking Percy was almost exactly the same here as it was in the book. In both versions, there’s no actual “fight”: she transforms, she attacks him, and he immediately kills her. The only real differences were that Percy gets Riptide a little earlier, and that it happened outdoors in this version (which IMO is fine, because it gives us a clear demonstration of how the Mist hides things from normal humans). So the fact that he didn’t really fight her here isn’t actually an issue.
- I actually really prefer the aftermath of the Ms. Dodds incident in this version over the book, because it makes way more sense to me for Grover & Chiron to respond to the attack by immediately getting Percy kicked out of Yancy & sent home so they can arrange for him to go to camp right away where he’ll be safe, instead of spending a month or two gaslighting him for no reason first like they did in the book.
- I can understand why people might not like what they’re doing with Gabe, but I also totally get why they decided to tone him down a bit compared to his almost-cartoonishly-evil portrayal in the books, and I also didn’t really get any sympathetic vibes from him here. Plus, there should still be plenty of time to show more of his bad side later on in the season.
- So, I might be wrong, but in Percy’s dream… was that Mark F*cking Hamill as the voice of Kronos?? Because it sounded a lot like him, and if it is, that would be amazing!
- “You fell in love with God? Like… like Jesus?” is a line that really feels like it should’ve been in the books at some point, because that was hilarious. 😂
- I loved the interactions between Sally & Percy in the cabin scene.
- Grover being very true to the books with his constantly being nervous and on the verge of freaking out was fantastic.
- Loved Sally being a badass during the whole Minotaur scene, and the Percy vs. Minotaur fight was awesome.
- Super-excited to get into Episode 2!

pjo tv show spoilers!!!
ahhhhh i just finished ep 8 and i have so many thoughts so be ready.
of course across the tv show there are things i love and things i dont necessary agree with but thats lofe and personal opinion so no hate from me here. cause if i too were rick and staftung reading through and adapting something i wrote about what 20 years ago i would change up plot holes and things that i thought would work better too.
i think all the actors were very talented and perfect for there roles.
i love the change of sally teaching percy mythology from a young age thats something i always thought that should of happened to begin with.
i didnt like the characterisation of gabe when watching the show if i hadnt read the books he was almost likeable i thought he was mildly funny i feel like they didnt make him cruel enough to justify the whole medusa thing.
loved the interactions between percy and grover before camp the lighting of percy in school without grover (blue toned) and percy in school with grover (warm toned) really showed how good of a friend he was. grover was so sweet and funny and had great lines cant wait to see him in a wedding dress.
loved percys interaction with mr d i thought it was totally in character and really was quite funny, mr d is just dying for that bottle of wine.
i didnt love the fact that everyone kinda avoided the topic that the gods igbored there children and arw pretty shitty for the majority of the tv show percy kept asking questions like the gods were like the average parent of anyone and no one thought to tell him 'hey percy the gods dont actually talk to their kids so thats why everyone gives you looks when you talk about there parents'.
thalia being pronounced the way it is threw me off but i knlw thats the actuall greek way of saying it so it dosent bother me (i will continue to pronounce it the way i do though)
i thought it was interesting that they had annabeth see the fates and not percy i don't have many comments on this just that it was interesting.
i loved the way they handled medusa and her story but still managed to make her a monster for percy to fight l, its a delicate line that i think they managed perfectly.
the arch i loved the way percy swapped places with annabeth great cinematic moment, i thought it was weird that they didnt have percy jump in trust of his dad xonsidering the way they have changed percys attitude towards gods as parents at the time during the show, but i thought the hand of posiedon saving him was great aswell.
also the arch being a temple of athena was a cool edition i thought they played athenas pettyness pretty good. i did like that annabeth wanted to go becuse architecture but i dont mind the change.
tunnel of love chefs kiss not more to be said really, other than hephaestus he gets it i always liked him as a god.
the way they had grover talk to ares and manipulate him into taking while also reading his emotions so cool i loved the edition so much and it really gave us an in look into both grover and ares as people.
the animal truck was nice i loved the percy and grover interactions about the animals thought it was funny. missed percy not talking to a zebra.
lotus hotel very cool loved the music choice, loved the design, cool that they know its the lotus eaters before they go in. loved the chat with hermes and grover meeting a satyr and playing his hunt the human game. the lost memorys gives a proper view into ehy people would stay there and not leave. also love the little 'bianca' and the two kids who ran past in purple shirts (romans??).
stealing hermes taxi to go to santa monica awesome, i questioned the choice of 4 pearls tp begin with cause i thought 'this will make the prophecy obsolete' but having watched it all now so good loved the choice cause of course posidon would never abandon his queen amongst mortals
the choic of them running out of time on there quest i dont understand was it necessary i dont think them having a day left still would have changed anything that still happened after show wise maybe a few conversations tweeked. (if anyone knows why let me know im curious)
crustys this was the only monster wich i didnt like the way they delt with, i think they had to do it this was as alot of this was percys thoughts in the book which they havent really been transfering to screen that well. i feel like we lost some of percts brutal fatal flaw here with him not killing him and his smarts of him convincing him to get in the bed and trap himself, thats percys thing see if annabeth has plan, persuasion, then fight.
also the underworld not being in DOA :( that was a cool idea so fun and its a pun but maybe for time issues they just resorted to crusty doesnt bother me that much but ill miss it.
percy not bartering with charon again taking away percys skill at persuasion. but not a big deal in long run (missed the drown in bath joke though)
the feilds of asphodel i thought jt was an interesting take, its described in the books as a really busy airports or station of some kind just loads of people standing everywhere. i tought ut was interesting that the souls became trees (does that mean hazel isnt a tree but just wanders amougst the trees?) the fact rhat they made it regrets aste what stick you in asphodel and turn you into a tree i didnt agree with asphodel is the place you go when your life is juat average not bad or evil and not heroic or extremely good, cause u telling me that any hero that goes to elysium dosent have regrets? also annabeth being the one with regrets weird take it should have been grover who regrets alot (thalia for example) but i get they did that cause like the books they were setting it up to look like annabeth was the traitor.
loved the inclusion story about luke hermes and may.
i loved the characterisation of hades i though he was quite accurate to how hades acts in the actual mythology and you can totally see where nico gets it from. just loved the whole interaction.
loved rhw choice of the pearls going back to manutak rather than santa monica.
the fight with ares loved kt was squeeling the entire time, ares beeing cocky and toying with percy, percy showing beast controll of the sea and finally the cut on ares ankle. but what aboutbthe curse! the curse ares puts on percys sword that bexomes relevent not onece but twice. that surely will mess up the fufillment if the prophecy for a possibel 3rd season as thats the whole reason he dosent fight atlas and takes the sky from artemis. so ill have to wait and see how they do that.
annabeth giving percy her beads 😊
calling children of the big three forbidden children its a nice edition that i like (kinda remids me of the fanfic son of seafoam)
the interaction with zeus pretty good liked it the way that zeus appears to be taking kronos somewhat seriously though, well we will se if that lasts.
posiedon stepping in and saving percy and then surrendering-- - my heart cant
pecry going back to camp and being celebrated great as he should. also live the percy luke flashbacks.
now my favourite way the show has changed the percy luke betrayal! i love the way thia changed i always thought that luke should have tried to recruit percy as he does in later books but percy dosent entertain as luke tried to kill him twice but i love that luke was all like percy we could run away and fight the gods. and thevlook on his face when annabeth throws a knife at him and the way percy sliced luke and immediately apologised because although hes angry he dosent acctually want to hurt him. and you can tell why people like luke and join him. obvs the way they have made the gods more likeable from the start means if you havent resd tbe books you probably dont understand lukes motivations as much but jes known the gods are shitty parents for much longer than percy as hed older and percy will get there one day but we all know how that ends up TLO.
percy annabeth and grover all making a promise to meet back at thalia next year so cute
percys dream about kronos really good gives information that made me jump with excitment as a book fan. sally coming to percy with a notebook to note down his dreams is telling in thats not the first time since camp that its happend. also is it his birthday i got the vibe its his birthday. percy telling his mum that kronos told him to tell her shes a good mum made me snort but its sweet that percy is trying to protect her.
over all i have many thoughts and opinions this isnt all of them and if anyone wants specific thoughts on certain things let me know.
i cant wait till s2 they just have to have a season 2!!!!!
sorry for the long post

I’m actually really loving the Percy Jackson tv series. Like part of it is nostalgia yes but I also love what’s new about it. I’m gonna talk about this in no logical order though so just be aware haha.
First up my boy, Grover. I am absolutely living for him right now, he’s just adorable and conflicted and I love him. Percy is angry with him because he got him kicked out of Yancy but he’s just trying his best to keep Percy alive. Can do no wrong, favourite character so far. Also that interaction with the dryad was so adorable, she definitely had motherly vibes.
Secondly, Dionysus. 10/10 casting. Dionysus WOULD pretend briefly to be Peter Johnson’s dad just to get some alcohol wouldn’t he? Also a good way to introduce that gods can circumvent rules using demigods.
Which leads me to my next point of the themes we’ve got going here. Like obviously in the books the gods failings as parents and as authority are questioned, but it’s more of a gradual build up? Like the focus is on getting his mum back and then later thwarting titans but the failures of the gods stand out more as the series progresses further. Here we have Percy immediately disillusioned by the gods and calling Poseidon out for his shit. He IS Sally Jackson son!!! Much more in your face immediate criticism so I’m interested to see how the rest of the series goes with this.
Sally is so cool you guys. She has so much love for her son and here she’s a bit more confrontational with Gabe. Both book Sally and tv Sally are badass and I just love her so much. Its neat that this time they gave her the chance to explain Percy’s heritage to him rather than Grover, Chiron and Mr D explaining all of it this time. I like the statue flashback where she’s talking about how people who look like the heroes may be the monsters and vice versa. Foreshadowing but also possibly reframing Medusa here as a more nuanced character?
Annabeth has barely been shown so it’s hard to get a read on her, but I know we’ll see more of her in the next episodes so I can be patient for my childhood hero.
My only criticism so far are some scenes that were cut and that some of the scenes are too dark for me to actually see what’s happening but it can’t really be helped.
I have more thoughts on this but imma end it here for now.

You are absoulty right jason is underrated! I cannot wait to see their relationship interactions:) I feel like the expalnation for why sally let him go seemed to be along the lines of "he has more power so more monsters i cant protect him from, this way he isnt gone forever, and(just how i read it) gabe is worse then canon". Also, as Sally is so incredibly "i need to protect percy but i dont want to leave him" would she have thalia/jason come by like once a month/every 2 months and take him for a week for training? Wait no she would more like have them take the both of them for a week to train or smth.(Can you tell i love your sally?) The implacations of there not being the border would be so, just, ohho. Would percy join them once his mom sends him to camp? Especially w/o the barrier, it could be safer for him(and everyone at camp) to not be in one place. Will hazel and bianca still be as wonderfully lightly crazy(please say yes i love your versions of them)? Will demeter/ceres kids play a bigger role as they are also children of one of the elder 6(and demeter is older then all 3 of her brothers)? That could be so cool to explore!!!!! Also: What is the academy that is mentioned/ will that come back into play? Also^2: Percy/the six kids being aware of the other pantheons still? That would be so cool to look at the implications on! Also^3: I know your fic predates her, but your story reminds me of caffs worldbuilding/ narratives and i just think its so neat that thats the parallel my brain keeps seeing(except everyone is alive and it is wonderful)!
I'm going to separate out your questions into bullet points, otherwise I will forget at least one, if not multiple.
I feel like the expalnation for why sally let him go seemed to be along the lines of "he has more power so more monsters i cant protect him from, this way he isnt gone forever, and(just how i read it) gabe is worse then canon". Also, as Sally is so incredibly "i need to protect percy but i dont want to leave him" would she have thalia/jason come by like once a month/every 2 months and take him for a week for training?
Gabe is already pretty bad in canon, it's just that it's very quickly glossed over. There was a mention of Sally flinching when Gabe raised his hand, and Percy suddenly realizing that at some point, Gabe had hit her. The only way he was Percy's saving grace was that he smelled so bad, and Percy's lack of knowledge of his heritage was part 2 for that same saving grace, and the only thing that truly made it so that Gabe's scent could cover his. Percy was twelve at the time of realization in canon, Thalia is fourteen, if I'm doing my math correctly, when she meets Percy and Sally in my fic. Even if Percy hasn't realized yet, Thalia would see the signs immediately.
Part of Percy going to a bunch of private schools is to just keep him moving, but he comes home for holidays and such because he loves Sally. Sally knew that if she sent Percy to Camp, canonically, there was a chance he wouldn't come back out, just because of how strong his scent was. However...if the magic border didn't exist, Percy would probably go to Camp and die anyway.
I can see Thalia and Jason hanging around New York for a bit while they train up Sally and Percy to defend against monsters, but apart from visiting occasionally? Probably not staying. Two children of the Big Three is enough to warrant a small army, three is just asking for a Doom style horde.
Wait no she would more like have them take the both of them for a week to train or smth.(Can you tell i love your sally?)
Sally is the best. My Sally, Riordan's Sally, any Sally Jackson is the best Sally Jackson.
The implacations of there not being the border would be so, just, ohho. Would percy join them once his mom sends him to camp? Especially w/o the barrier, it could be safer for him(and everyone at camp) to not be in one place.
Once Percy's at Camp, especially if the barriers are down, all bets are off. Thalia, Luke, and Clarisse are going to be tag-team parenting two Big Three kids and a precocious daughter of Athena. Not a single one of those kids know how to sit and stay, and whoever Thalia has to go pull out of the fire is going to regret it.
Will hazel and bianca still be as wonderfully lightly crazy(please say yes i love your versions of them)?
YES, absolutely yes, I love my wonderfully lightly crazy women, and I include Thalia in that too.
Will demeter/ceres kids play a bigger role as they are also children of one of the elder 6(and demeter is older then all 3 of her brothers)? That could be so cool to explore!!!!!
I haven't decided yet, to be completely honest. They'll certainly have their time in the spotlight, but I don't know at this point.
Also: What is the academy that is mentioned/ will that come back into play?
The Academy was my answer to the question of, "how did Thalia get trained to survive if she didn't have Luke to help her?" For ATC. The premise was that, since a lot of Greek demigods didn't have a truly safe place to just Be until very recently, the Demeter/Ceres kids set up a place for people to rest and restock their supplies. I kind of hypothesized that about ninety percent of the Demeter/Ceres kids didn't have a Big Three kind of monster-drawing scent, but the few that did were powerhouses in their own right.
Have you ever been in a rainforest? A densely wooded area? Someplace with tall grass? Good luck getting through that quickly. Much less if you've got people who control plants.
Thalia has Luke to help her get started in the rewrite, so the Academy might be scrapped, might not be, it depends on how I think those years without Luke will go.
Also^2: Percy/the six kids being aware of the other pantheons still? That would be so cool to look at the implications on!
Thalia and Jason kind of HAVE to know. They hide it from others, introducing one as the respective pantheon's child, and then the other as the full-blooded sibling. It's true, to a certain extent, and a sneaky bit of word play that allows others to assume. Percy would find out eventually, especially if he winds up heading west. Nico and Bianca wind up in some very odd situations that would mean that they would find out on accident. Hazel is Roman, and also dead, and doesn't really care one way or the other--she has her goals, and frankly, neither of the Camps are really welcoming to children of the god of the dead.
Now, the Big Three kids know about the Greek/Roman thing. A select few of them will know about the Egyptian pantheon, just because they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and came out of it feeling like they just experienced a fever dream. It might be mentioned offhandedly, but won't be really relevant to the story.
Annabeth is the only one who will know about the Norse pantheon, and it will basically never get brought up except as an Easter egg.
Also^3: I know your fic predates her, but your story reminds me of caffs worldbuilding/ narratives and i just think its so neat that thats the parallel my brain keeps seeing(except everyone is alive and it is wonderful)!
Caffs? Another fic author? Please do understand that while I see some stuff occasionally, I am not really involved in the PJO fandom. There are too many fics that make Annabeth and/or Percy someone they are not, and it drove me 'round the bend to the point where the only pjo fics I read are my own, HecateA on ff.net, and maverickk on ao3.

The bathrooms are cinder block buildings with a line of toilets and a line of showers; there’s a girls and a boys
Percy feels a tug in the pit of his stomach when he uses his powers
Annabeth just watched Clarisse drag Percy into the bathroom to give him a swirly
Luke steals Percy some toiletries from the camp store.
Percy is not good at archery, foot racing, or wrestling
The only thing that Percy is good at is canoeing
Percy can’t find a blade that fits right in his hand.
Luke has been the best swordsman in 300 years
Percy bests him after pouring ice water on his head (son of Poseidon)
Hades doesn’t have a cabin at Camp Half-Blood or a throne on Olympus. They say that it would be bad if there was a cabin for Hades.
Sixty years ago, after World War 2, the big three gods made an oath not to have more kids.
Two of them broke it; Zeus with Jason and Thalia, Poseidon with Percy.
When Hades found out, he let out all three Kindly Ones and a pack of Hellhounds
Thalia wound up becoming a tree.
Grover was the satyr assigned to bring only Thalia in. Thalia had befriended Annabeth and Luke, and she wouldn’t leave them behind.
Percy thinks that Luke’s scar makes him look almost evil
Clarisse has an electric spear
It makes Percy go numb wherever she touches him with it
One of the boys in Cabin 5 (Ares) cuts Percy across the arm
Once Percy gets into the water, he’s very good at fighting
Luke wins capture the flag
Annabeth has a Yankee's cap that makes her invisible. It was a gift from her mother.
Annabeth is the first person to figure out that Poseidon is Percy’s father.
No wait, Grover was first and then Chiron. Well, they knew he was one of the Big Three’s son.
As soon as Percy steps out of the water, he is exhausted and in pain.
When Hellhounds die, they melt into shadow and soak into the ground.
Hellhounds are from the fields of punishment.
When Poseidon claims Percy, everyone kneels.
“Poseidon, Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail, Perseus Jackson, Son of the Sea God.”
Percy is miserable being alone in Cabin Three and being so isolated. He would rather get into fights every day than be ignored. People are steering clear of Percy.
Except for Luke, who gives Percy one-on-one sword training.
Annabeth teaches Percy Greek but she’s distracted.
Gabe tells the press that Percy is violent and a troubled kid. The newspapers say that Percy may be involved in his mother’s disappearance.
Gabe also tells the press that Percy has expressed violent tendencies in the past.
Percy has more dreams of Zeus and Poseidon fighting. He hears Kronos’ voice calling to him.
It doesn’t rain in Camp Half-Blood (or even get overcast) unless they want it to.
Dionysus wants to kill Percy.
Percy gets embarrassed when he knows something someone doesn’t want or expect him to.
Percy has a nervous laugh.
Illegal copies can be made of the Gods Symbols of Power.

The Big House attic is four flights up. It’s full of mementos from old demigod fights.
Percy is scared of the oracle.
Percy’s fists clench at the very sight of Gabe.
Percy doesn’t have many friends.
Percy isn’t afraid of Hades; he wants to get revenge and take Hades on.
Gods can’t encroach on each other’s territories but demigods can. Gods can’t be held responsible for heroes actions.
Percy describes his emotions as rolling glass in a kaleidoscope.
Percy is so relieved that Grover is coming with him that he wants to cry.
Annabeth volunteered to go on the Quest. Percy is not surprised.
Previously, Luke told Percy that Annabeth has been harassing Chiron for a prophecy and that she’s been hanging onto all of the new campers until she’s sure they aren’t the chosen one.
Annabeth says that Percy will mess up this quest without her even though he’s been more than adequate at handling everything that’s been thrown his way.
The camp store loans Percy $100.00 and 20 golden drachmas.
He’s also given a canteen of nectar and a ziplock bag full of ambrosia squares.
The ambrosia and nectar is only to be used in emergencies; it will kill a mortal and demigods will literally burn up if they overdose.
Annabeth’s cap was given to her on her twelfth birthday by her mom, Athena.
Luke actually runs up the hill to give them the basketball shoes. They’re the flying shoes he got from his dad for his quest when he was seventeen.
Luke gives the shoes directly to Percy.
Percy is worried that Luke would have been jealous of the attention he’s been getting.
Percy blushes because Luke gave him the magic gift.
Luke seems uncomfortable talking to Percy. He trails off three times and uses “um.” And then there’s an [awkward] handshake.
Luke pats Grover between the horns and gives Annabeth a hug.
Annabeth’s crush on Luke has been brought up three times so far.
Percy figures out by this one interaction that Annabeth let Luke capture the flag instead of her.
Percy thinks that he’s a brat for wanting a magical gift from his father.
Riptide (Anaklusmos) is a gift from Poseidon that Chiron has been holding onto for the next child of Poseidon.
Riptide is forged by the Cyclopes, tempered in the heart of Mount Etna, and cooled in the River Lethe.
Mortals aren’t important enough for the blade to kill but it will kill demigods and anything from the Underworld.
Percy thinks that the real world feels like a fantasy after spending two weeks at Half-Blood Hill.
Percy thinks that Annabeth hates him.
Annabeth thinks they have to be rivals because their parents are.
Annabeth was also mean to him before she knew who his dad was.
Even after two weeks away from Gabe, Grover can still smell him on Percy.
This makes Percy immediately want a shower.
Grover says that Percy should be thankful Sally was with someone who smelled so repulsively human because it kept the monsters away and that Sally must have loved Percy a lot to put up with that guy.
This does not make Percy feel better but he hides his feelings; or hopes he does since satyrs can sense emotions with or without an empathy link.
Percy is on the quest because he wants to save his mom.
He is not on the quest to retrieve Zeus’s lightning bolt
Or to save the world
Or to help his dad out of trouble. Percy is actually really, really angry with Poseidon for never visiting or helping Sally.
Annabeth and Percy are good at playing hacky sack.
The three Furies are considered the worst monsters in the Underworld.
Percy had a chance to escape on the bus and didn’t take it.
Alecto threatens to kill Percy (again)
Percy can speak Latin
Percy knows that the Greek Gods (Zeus and Hades in particular) are being assholes to him.
The food at Camp Half-Blood is grapes, bread, cheese, and extra-lean-cut nymph-prepared barbecue.
“Your head is full of kelp.”
In Aunty Em’s emporium, Percy says that the smell of her cooking makes everything else go away, however he still has the sense of mind to notice Grover whimpering, the statues’ eyes following them, and Auntie Em locking the door.
Percy’s neck tingles when he’s in danger.
Percy is annoyed that Annabeth is being rude to a woman who just fed them for free.

Percy’s authority issues
Percy’s authority issues are caused by (at least) two things: his relationships with his teachers and mortal peers and his relationships with his parents. He’s very sensitive to how people treat him, and who does and does not deserve his respect, which informs his relationships with like...everyone.
Percy has almost no connections to anyone at his schools, except negative connections. Excluding Chiron and Paul, he has no teachers he likes or who like him. Teachers expect him to be a troublemaker and treat him like one, making authority = mistreatment and (unfair) judgement in his mind. Excluding Grover, Tyson, and Rachel, he has no friends at school, and is usually ignored or mistreated by his peers. Bullies often attempt to control the actions or thoughts of those they bully, meaning being controlled = mistreatment and judgement. (This also applies to the gods, who attempt to control him, and who often don’t like him. It’s also safe to say they are unfair to him and other demigods.)
As for his parents, obviously he won’t want to do anything Gabe says, both because of the abuse and because Gabe isn’t Percy’s “real” dad, and therefore has no right to boss him around. He’s much more willing to obey Sally, because she is his “real” parent and has the right as far as he’s concerned. As for Poseidon and Paul, they don’t often tell him what to do, but he’s probably more willing to listen to Paul, because Paul is actually there for him consistently and doesn’t treat him badly like Gabe did. Amphitrite is a non-issue as he rarely if ever interacts with her.
But to kind of follow the formula above:
Gabe mistreats him = Gabe is a controlling and false “authority” = Percy has authority issues
Sally treats him well = Sally is a real authority but isn’t controlling = Percy doesn’t have authority issues
Poseidon treats him okay = Poseidon is a real and largely non-controlling authority but disobeying him has serious consequences = Percy has some authority issues
Paul treats him well = Paul is a false “authority” but isn’t controlling = Percy doesn’t have (many) authority issues
Amphitrite doesn’t treat him well but doesn’t mistreat him = Amphitrite is a false and non-controlling “authority” but disobeying her could have serious consequences = Percy has authority issues
Chiron is most like Paul and Sally, maybe somewhere in between. Gods like Zeus and Ares are down there by Gabe, while gods like Hestia are in a similar position to Chiron. As for his friends, Annabeth and Grover are obviously much higher than, like, Clarisse. But tbh I’m not sure where Reyna would go 🤔

A Definitely Incomplete List Of My Favorite Moments From The Lightning Thief (book), because I'm having Feelings
Percy very causally mentioning times he accidentally hit a school bus with a canon or dropped fifth graders into shark-infested water
Grover Underwood
Just everything he’s ever done
Percy running an illegal candy ring out of his dorm room
“I was worried they found out I got my essay on Tom Sawyer from the internet and were going to take away my grade. Or worse, they were going to make me read the book.”
When Percy thought Grover was going to give him some deep, meaningful commentary on life to make him feel better but Grover just wanted Percy’s lunch
Percy tried so hard to do well on his Latin final and Chiron somehow thinks it’s a good idea to tell him he’s ‘not normal’ in front of the class my poor boy
That one part where Percy essentially went “Oh hey mom’s home!!! Better reschedule this panic attack I was having!!”
When Percy did that weird hand sign (that was never explained) and the door slammed on Gabe so hard he flew up the steps
The fact that when Grover finally tracked Percy down he wasn’t wearing any pants. Like, there was literally no reason for him to not have the fake feet and the jeans on. No actual reason for him to be free balling it. Percy just needed a shock apparently. Showing up in the middle of a hurricane with no pants, dramatic ass satyr I love him.
The SATISFYING DEATH of Gabe’s Camaro + Sally apparently learned bullfighting just in case because she truly is the best mom
Percy killing the minotaur with its own horn
Percy dragging Grover over the camp line while crying for his mom literally end me
“You drool when you sleep.” could we get more iconic here
Percy teasing Annabeth about her crush on Luke
When Luke stole some toiletries for Percy and he got a little choked up because it was apparently the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him
The fact that Chiron basically told Annabeth that Percy was her destiny
The fact that a recovering alcoholic god of wine who hates children was deemed fit to run a camp for children
Not so fun: Percy, upon meeting Mr. D, immediately recognizing the signs of an alcoholic and going out of his way to sit far away from him ‘just in case’
The fact that everyone just expected him to hear ‘the greek gods are real’ and move on?? why would no one let this boy be in shock omg
Zeus apparently had a thing for the fluffy 80′s hairstyles
“the real world is where the monsters are”
The fact that Poseidon could have claimed Percy at literally any moment but he apparently decided he really needed that dramatic reveal during capture the flag.
When Zeus was feeling Extra Dramatic(tm) after Percy’s claiming so he started making it rain inside the camp boarders and everyone was lowkey freaking out
When Annabeth pulls off her invisible cap and declares she’s going on the quest with him and Percy was like, beyond unsurprised that she was there and didn’t even attempt to fight her
Chiron forgot to give Percy a sword from his father for like, an entire month.
Grover with those freaking flying shoes oh my God
Annabeth blushing literally any time Luke talks to her
IN THIS HOUSE WE LOVE AND RESPECT ARGUS, HEAD OF CAMP SECURITY
lmao when Percy and Annabeth start bickering about something and Argus just winks at Percy because he knows
When they were playing hackey sack with an apple but it got too close to Grover’s mouth and he just ate the whole thing
The entire bus scene oh my God
“I was about to become the ADHD Poster Child of the Year” as he’s CRASHING A BUS
Annabeth on a fury’s back
the explosion. just. all gr8.
When Grover tries to play a path finder song and Percy just immediately slams into a tree. Also the fact that the path finder song was actually just a Hillary Duff number.
“You two are giving me a migraine, and satyr's don’t even get migraines!”
Percy actually, truly trying to sell the story that the three of them are circus orphans who got separated from their ringleader
Grover: hey guys this place is REALLY SHADY and we need to leave
Annabeth and Percy: but f o o d
Can you imagine walking into a store and finding your dead uncle’s body on display? Like????
When Medusa revealed herself and Annabeth’s running around invisible, Percy’s swinging a sword blindly and Grover’s flying around screaming and trying to whack her with a stick: everyone here is a MESS
When Annabeth was overly annoyed with Percy after that ordeal??? Sweetheart you fell for the trick too
Name something more iconic than 12 year old Percy Jackson mailing the decapitated head of Medusa to the gods on Mt. Olympus in an act of sheer pettiness. I dare you.
When Percy was insisting on taking first watch while the others slept and Grover was basically like “hey kiddo listen to this” and played a song that immediately knocked him out so he could sleep all night
“Percy. Say hello to the poodle.”
Percy seeing all the Greek creatures from the train window
When Annabeth was dragging the boys to the St. Louis Arch and Percy’s claustrophobic ass Did Not Want To Get In That Tiny Elevator but he went anyway because he wanted Annabeth to be happy. That boy has had it bad since the start.
“I am Echidna!”
“Isn’t...isn’t that a type of anteater?”
“I HATE AUSTRALIA.”
How many times has Percy actually been poisoned throughout all the series I literally want a count
‘Lemme just, uh....jump off the fucking St. Louis Arch and hope I don’t die when I hit the water.’
There is just something very aesthetic about Percy lighting a fire in the bottom of a river
Percy’s got so much pent-up rage that he’s just immediately ready to wreck Ares upon meeting him omfg
THE THRILL RIDE O’ LOVE
Annabeth getting so worked up and flustered over going down there with Percy because it’s a love ride and Percy’s just like “you literally do not have to make this a Thing” lmao
Annabeth wouldn’t let Percy touch Aphrodite’s scarf because she didn’t want him getting infected by love magic but then...touched it herself lol
The entire sequence with the mechanical spiders and the cameras and the ride itself
Percy’s plan to get off the ride!!!! He’s so smart okay can people stop calling him stupid!!!
Grover trying to catch them both in mid-air but they‘re too heavy so the three of them just kind of slowly crash into one of those face-cut-out posters lol
Percy, turning to the camera’s broadcasting this shit on Olympus: “Show’s over! Thank You! Goodnight!”
THE FUCKING ZOO BUS
Everything about that scene omg. The animals they had to help. Trying to convince Grover of how great he is. The baby percabeth. my h e a r t
“What if it does line up like the Trojan War? Athena versus Poseidon?”
“I don’t know what my mom will do. I just know I’ll be fighting next to you.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re my friend, Seaweed Brain, any more stupid questions?”
Do you hear that sound? That’s me, ages 13-21(+) sobbing uncontrollably oh my God I love them so much
‘let’s just set a fucking lion loose in Las Vegas’
“I put a Blessing of the Wild on them, so they’ll safely find food and shelter wherever they go.”
“Why can’t you put on of those on us?”
“It only works on wild animals.”

PERCY VERSES
DEFAULT, post pjo / hoO Most threads will be placed within this verse by default. It is set after the events of the Heroes of Olympus as I haven’t read the Trials of Apollo or Magnus Chase. Percy is currently attending New York University and works part time at the Brooklyn Zoo, in the Aquarium taking care of the marine animals. As a senior member of Camp Halfblood he does attend during breaks and holidays and most other weekends to help Chiron train new demigods and to provide as much aid to the camp and to the other demigods as he can.
He also visits their sister camp, Camp Jupiter but usually only by request / invitation.
THE OLYMPIANS, during pjo Any interactions that take place within the first installment of Rick Riordans Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Percy is anywhere between the ages of eleven and sixteen years old. War is brewing between demigods and the Titan, Kronos. Percy is struggling with the prophecy and living up to the expectations placed upon his shoulders by the gods and his fellow demigods.
THE HEROES, during hoO Any interactions that take place within the second installment of Rick Riordans Heroes of Olympus. Percy is anywhere between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years old. He spend six months with no memory attempting to find Camp Jupiter and being hunted by monsters across the globe during his search with only a single memory, a girl named Annabeth. Upon finding Camp Jupiter, Percy finds himself slowly but surely regaining many of his memories and must work together with both Greek demigods and Roman demigods to stop a war between Gods and Titans.
RIVERDALE, during Percy lives in the South Side of Riverdale with his mother, Sally Jackson, and his abusive step-father Gabe Ugliano throughout the events of season one until Gabe’s alcoholism and abusive nature finally sends both Sally and Percy fleeing into the protection of the Serpents. Percy’s biological father, Poseidon, was a well respected member of the Serpents until his death and Sally had attempted to keep Percy away from the gang as long as she could. Sally purchased a trailer and moved she and her son in a handful of trailers down from FP Jones.
During season two Percy will had an inevitable final confrontation with his step father which will result in Gabe Ugliano’s hospitalization. With the Serpents help, Gabe is intimidated into lying about how he was injured and Percy is cleared of any dangers. Percy is eventually initiated into the Serpents as a full member alongside Cheryl Blossom.
THE 100, during Persi kom Trikru. Born on the ground, his father Poseidon was abducted by the Mounon and turned into a Reaper and his mother Sali was killed in the missile launch that wiped out TonDC. He marched on Mount Weather with the Grounder army and was forced to retreat under Commander Leksa’s orders as tensions between Grounders and Skaikru continued to grow.
Persi is one of the survivors of the Second Bunker.
