Sorry if the humor is a bit crass, but I've witnessed this phenomena so many times with friends who become parents that I could not help but wonder which extreme side of the line these boys fall on.
This is also a bit of a character dive. I kind of like the idea of Leo constantly censoring himself around Casey Junior, because it gives it even more oomph when he says "badass" in the beginning of the movie since it signals that he now views CJ as an adult who he respects, depends on, and can speak with frankly. No censoring needed.

ROTTMNT HEADCANNONS. PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
Okey, 1st, I'm sorry for taking so long.
Here. SPOILER- FREE!! HEAD-CANNONS for ROTTMNT from someone who has been into tmnt for like 3 weeks now.
This are mostly Turtle Tots head-cannons:
The boys know a varying degrees of Japanese. Is mostly just curses and little things Splinter used to said to them when they where kids before he gave up on teaching them Japanese. Little things like whispering "Nani?" when something weird happens, and they (sadly) don't necessarily think of it as Japanese, but things their family says.
That being said, when the kids where 6, 5 and 4, he had actual hopes of them learning Japanese as they had all become obsessed with Kamen Rider... Splinter later gave up, as teaching them English was hard enough.
He taught the Tots English first, because he was always afraid they would get kidnapped and experimented on, or just lost, and living in a country that mainly spoke English, he didn't want the language barrier to be another reason why his kids wouldn't be safe.
The turtle tots LOVED Kamen Rider, specially Ichigo. He was green, so were they! and it made their little hearts so happy! and splinter loved watching it with them, as it reminded him of all the times his mom would watch the show with him.
Ichigo was Raph's childhood hero, and though he stopped watching Kamen Rider Shows when he was 7, he still has the little figure in his room.
This next head-cannon is based on the fact that baby Yoshi had a Kappa figure and one that looked like a Kamen Rider from the showa era in the flash back: Kamen Rider was Yoshi's comfort show as a kid, and after his mom left he spent an entire day hiding from Sho, just watching the show and pretending everything was okey.
What baby Donnie liked more than the green Kamen Rider was the belts and all the powers it provided to the wearer in the different generations. This inspired many early creations.
Besides all this, I see Splinter as a very depressed individual. Big Mama had already broken something within him, but it took him years to accept his new body. For this reason, he never showed a lot of physical reassurance to the Tots growing up, as his own body was an issue for him.
He never actually showed the turtles the Lou Jitsu movies... They found them themselves. Splinter didn't want reminders of his past life, so when one afternoon he found the boys watching one of the movies... he got really angry. But It ended with with Splinter explaining to the kids that he doesn't like them touching his things because some of them bring painful memories. He also apologized for getting angry, as they didn't know, and that afternoon was the first time Splinter saw one of his movies again, when he started his journey of healing.
Leo and Mikey are the two that actually know the most Japanese of the kids.
Leo has a thing for languages. One day when they where 8, Leo and Donnie were scavenging for things for Donnie to use, and instead, they found a box full of comics of "El Chapulin Colorado", "El Gato con Botas" a book telling the story of the Ciguapa, "Le Petit Prince" and a bunch of mangas, all in their original languages, and little Leo was so enamored with the art that he started reading them all. He didn't get half of what they where saying, but Donnie, seeing that reading keep Leo away enough for him to work, mentioned it to Raph and they got him 3 dictionaries, an English-Spanish one, a French- Spanish one and a English- Japanese one.
Where Leo finds it easy to learn new languages, for Donnie is the worst thing in the world. You know that trope where the smart guy can speak many languages? That isn't Donnie. He can speak English and computer. That's it, English is hard enough in his opinion.
Leo can read English, Spanish, Japanese and French perfectly, a bit of Korean too. He has trouble with the pronunciation, and the only one he is confident with speaking are Spanish & English.
Part of the reason he is confident with speaking Spanish is because as a kid, he found Latin music and he f-cking loved it! From salsa, to bachata, he likes Reggaeton and Dembow the most though.
Mikey is the opposite of Leo. Being the only brother that never grew out of Kamen Rider, and Tokyo Sentai, he actually understands Japanese pretty well. He could talk it if he practiced, but is not confident in his pronunciation. He eventually learned Spanish thanks to Leo, and they practice together some times. He can't read them, but he will get there. Mikey's opinion, though, reading English is hard enough. Is it Dyslexia? ADHD? who knows, try getting a diagnosis when you are a teenage mutant ninja turtle living int the sewers.
Raph is a quick learner when he really sets himself into it. He also has a good memory, so in all accounts, he should have also learned Japanese fairly easy as a kid. But being the oldest, he was the first, and for a long time the only one to notice their father depression... and learning a new language, even through watching cartoons, didn't look so important anymore.
Splinter tried his best with the turtle tots... But he wasn't a great father. Yes, he showed them love and tried to be there for them. But there where days where he just couldn't put a smile on his face, nor get out of bed, and he didn't have anyone to turn to, so he just... suffered silently, turned on the TV and tuned out the world along with the 4 kids who depended on him.
Due to this, Raph grew up fast, faster than he cares to admit, or his brothers realize. He was always big and tall, so in his 7 year old head, it made sense for him to be the one to act like the adult. From ages 7 to 10 you wouldn't catch Raph death watching cartoons, unless Mikey had asked him to. Every time he saw their dad struggle to get out of bed he would make sure all his brothers where fed, that the lair entrance was secure, and that they had all they needed. He would get his brothers out of the TV room and practice Lou Jitsu moves with them.
Cartoons where for little kids, and Raph wasn't a little kid, so he started watching pro-wrestling. Thinking that if he trained he would be big and strong like the men on the TV and he would be able to solve his families problems.
Raph spend a great part of his childhood training watching Lou Jitsu movies. Leo was the one that joined him the most. The blue one noticing his brother was tense, and making the trainings more fun.
Raph was usually the one to cook on days Splinter couldn't. He would wake up early to try to make things for his brothers. Mikey, being an early riser, would usually sit beside him as Raph cooked, and helped with in all the 5 year old could. This is where Mikey's love for cooking comes from. Eventually, Raph's cocking became more of a "Raph supervising Mikey cook" once the older turtle was confident Mikey wouldn't burn or cut himself by accident.
Raph was never a good cook, but he was decent enough that all his family remembers his cooking fondly. He rarely does it anymore.
Raph was the first to get out the lair. Splinter would go out with him at night when the others where asleep to show him around New York. This usually happened during winter months (as they had the excuse to cover their whole bodies due to the cold), and after a really bad episode for Splinter. He did this as an apology to Raph, and because he wanted Raph to be able to have fun without having to worry about this brothers.
Raph was the only one Splinter would talk to when depression hit. Something Raph is glad for, but in retrospective, Splinter wishes he had found someone else to vent his feelings. He really regrets many of the things he did.
On good days, Splinter would sit with Raph to watch pro-wrestling and cook while Raph sat in the counter and told him about his day. Mikey would usually join them and comment on the cooking. These days usually ended with the whole family watching a movie.
By the time Raph was 11 Splinter started being more present in the kids life, as well as more verbally and physically affectionate with them. But it is still Leo's, Donnie's and Mikey's first instinct to turn to Raph, and not their dad, when something is wrong.
Part 2 - will eventually be here.

Helpless Part 2 xx
"Morning Haze," Nico said the just as he woke up.
"Here we have a true miracle occurrence the Nico di Angelo is awake before 11am is this the real di Angelo or is it really a fake." Hazel said in a teasing voice, it was nice to be back with her.
"Very funny Hazel," Nico said petting her on the head. "Anyway how much longer do I have with you until you go to back to New Rome?"
"I'm leaving today at 10pm, after campfire." She responded hugging Nico. "I'm gonna go get breakfast, cya later bro." Walking out the door, right after that there's a knock on the door. Nico opens it reluctantly and saw Solace outside the door,
"Great you haven't left yet. Can you come back to the infirmary tonight at 5 and do that every Friday for the rest of the month? I was asking Reyna and Annabeth and they said you'd shadow traveled a lot recently which isn't good for you, also-"
"-No underworldly stuff, just because I'm out of the infirmary doesn't mean I'm okay and I have a bunch of deficiencies. Solace I know, you don't have to worry, I'm not too big a fan of passing out myself. Yeah I'll come down at five, I don't see any use coming till the end of the month but you're too stubborn and I do not have the energy to argue with you today." Nico finishes his sentence,
"Okay great, that was surprisingly easy. Bye Nico I'll see you this afternoon." He says smiling as he closes the door behind him, Nico realised that he was smiling and cursed under his breathe in Italian. There is no way he liked that annoying doctor but the only thing he could think about were his bright blue eyes and how they look like the ocean. How his hair was perfectly golden and he was almost glowing in the sunlight, fuck, no, he couldn't do this again. He couldn't like anyone again, that would mean he has to tell people, what if they abandoned him? These are the times he sadly requires advice from Jason Grace.
***
Nico knocked on the door of his cabin hoping he hadn't left yet, he get lucky.
"Hey Grace, can I talk to you?" Nico asked stepping inside, Jason was (aside from Percy and Annabeth) the only one who knew.
"Yeah sure," Jason said calmly, Nico was thankful he still wanted to talk to him considering last time they tried to have this conversation Nico swore he would never talk to him again.
"Well, um.. I feel like I should tell the rest of the seven and Reyna. Percy and Annabeth already know-"  Nico starts but is interrupted by Jason pulling him into a hug.
"Oh sorry, I forgot you don't like being touched I'm just proud of you." Jason say's quickly.
"It's fine, I'm trying to get used to human contact. Just I also wanted to tell you, I like this guy...and he's so stubborn and annoying but at the same time I want him to be mine. It's....Will Solace and I just...yeah." Nico finishes, slightly blushing after and rushing the part about Will Solace.
"Nico I'm so proud of you for wanting to tell them, and if any of them react badly I will personally strike them with lightning while simultaneously getting Percy to drown them. But they won't be, these people love and care about you Nico they won't hurt you. As for Will Solace, well I know he's friends with Leo but not much else, I don't really see him much but he's a cool guy. Good luck mate." Jason says keeping his voice stable and calm as always,
"Thank you Jason, I guess I should go and talk to the other five now." Nico says hugging Jason, it was kind of shocking but Jason didn't show his surprise.
"Good luck Nico, I promise it'll go well."
"Wait, um, could you please come with me? I was going to ask Annabeth but-"
"Yeah of course I'll come with you."And with that the ghost king and Superman were off.
***
"Guys umm... can I talk to you?" Nico said walking up to Reyna, Leo, Hazel, Frank and Piper, finding them sitting under a tree.
"Sure di Angelo, what's up?" Leo said hiding his shock that Nico di Angelo was willingly talking to someone who wasn't Hazel, much more with Jason standing beside him. He looked like he was barely breathing so Jason placed a hand on his shoulder, whispering something in his ear. Nico (much to Leo's surprise) smiled and continued, "Well....shit.., Jason I can't." Nico says shaking.
"Breathe di Angelo."
"I fucking can't, what if they-"
"-I promise they won't react badly."
"That's what I thought about- doesn't matter."
"I know it's hard, especially after living in the 1930s for most of your childhood. Nico, are you sure you want to tell everyone, you're shaking."
"I SAW PEOPLE GET KILLED FOR IT, what....what if they hate me?"
"You don't have to tell them if you don't want to."
"I want to I'm just, scared."
"They care about you di Angelo, I swear on the River of Styx they won't hate you." Nico took a deap breath and continued.
"I'm..I'm gay.." he tenses up, waiting for someone to call him a fag and yell that he was going to burn and potentially try to kill him. After no such reaction he continued,"Also I may or may not have fallen for that insufferable doctor, Solace. Percy and Annabeth already know," Nico turns around and hugs Jason,
"Good job Nico; damn three hugs in one day. You're progressing," Nico was tempted to yell 'shut up Grace' but decided against it. He broke the hug with Jason after he was able to keep his breathing under control, suddenly he was suffocated by a hug from Piper and Hazel
"Can't. Breathe." Nico muttered quietly and the girls let go,
"Thank you for telling us," Piper said "I'll look into Will for you." She grinned walking off giving the siblings some privacy,
"I proud of you for telling us." Hazel said hiding a grin,
"You don't hate me? You already knew didn't you?" Nico asks,
"Well I had some suspicions." Hazel said smiling,
"How? I didn't talk to anyone?" Nico says failing to suppress his laughter,
"Younger sister magic. Also Nico why would I hate you?"
"Bianca..."
"Nico, you're my brother, I couldn't hate you. I can't imagine what you've gone through but I'll always be here for you."
"Thank you Hazel, I love you."
"Love you to bro." Hazel smiled and kissed Nico on the cheek, by then Jason was talking to Leo.
"Nico, I'm proud of you. Hope Solace likes you back, maybe impress him with Jules-Albert. If anyone hurts you because of it then I will send the Roman Legions on them. " Reyna said, messing up his long black hair that went a couple of inches past his shoulders before leaving not giving Nico time to reply. Nico smiled, pathetic, I haven't smiled this much since I was ten year old he thought to himself.
"Di Angelo! I'm warning you about Will, his sense of humor is worse than mine and Percy's combined and do not and I mean do not ask him to sing unless you are prepared to listen to him for three hours. Also um.. good job on telling us," Leo said patting Nico on the back.
"Thanks for the advice Valdez, but I'm not sure it is possible for someone to have a worse sense of humor than you." Nico said bluntly yet still smirking,
"Good luck on Solace, Nico. Proud of you for telling us, if anyone ever gives you shit I'll turn into a poisonous snake and kill them. Everyone will think it was an accident." Frank says so seriously that Nico almost shakes, Nico has to look up to meet his eye. Frank was a foot taller than him,
"Thanks Frank, but let's try to avoid murder for now." Nico smiled, this was going much better than he expected.
"Thanks for coming with me Grace." Nico said,
"No problem Nico, I'll catch you later yeah?

Hiii! I feel a little late to the chapter 32 party but I just finished it. I made a short list (there’s so much more I could’ve put in it) of some of my favorite things from the new chapter:
1- I love how in character everything feels! I don’t have a direct quote but I have the scene where Leo just got back to the lair and the narration brought up how he just pressed the key on the keyboard and spun around just to be cool. I know that might be obvious but it really stood out to me and it hit my funny bone in the right way.
2- I really enjoyed reading about Obscurial-Swann syndrome. It’s a random like but I found it really interesting. 2.1- Also, the side note of Draxum not knowing how to delete his browsing history was hilariously accurate. He feels like the kinda guy who wouldn’t know anything about googling and using the internet because he used encyclopedias and textbooks for everything.
3- This is something we can all agree on but I really enjoy reading the conversations between Gale and Tigerclaw. You really stepped into the murder uncle role for this chapter. The honesty and care and familial love is incredible. I just love their relationship so much.
lastly I did have a question, sorry if this has already been asked before. How do you think Gale will feel about Hungin, Mungin, Cass, and Tigerclaw once he becomes Donnie again? I don’t think he would really harbor that much ill will against them because they were all so nice and genuinely cared for him (as well as the fact the cass is under the hypnosis as well, if i’m remembering correctly). Thank you so much for all your hard work. Remember to take breaks, drink water and eat full meals!!!! <3
Bro the chapter's been out for 36 hours. You're not late for anything.
Seriously, I would very much prefer people take it at their own pace and talk to me when they get to it. It's honestly really disheartening when I put a bunch of work into a chapter, get five comments on it the first day, and then radio silence until I put the next one out. And besides, this was a long chapter. I figured it would take most people a little bit to get through. (plus a lot of readers are high school/college students-I released it on a schoolday, and y'all got homework)
LEO IS JUST SILLY THAT WAY. For real, writing little actions and stuff like that is real useful for breaking up dialogue, but then I have to, like, figure out what they're actually doing while talking. It's actually harder to do with Leo's sections that Gale's, because Galois is always using various tools and doing crazy shit that literally no one other than him would understand nor expect to understand, so I can mix shit up and keep it completely vague and it's still on-brand for him. Leo-what the fuck does Leo even do? Half the time I just have him On The Computer, like how Ken's job is Beach. What's he doing on there? I dunno! I just didn't feel like even pretending to make up a reason for him being on there and I don't think he did either. I think he legit said he was going to go upstairs and Look For Donnie on his laptop and gave no thought as to how the laptop helped accomplish that. He just pulls out his computer and clackety-clacks away because it makes him look productive.
Yeah, I do try to keep out the Harry Potter references, because fuck JKR, but in the same vein you're never going to undo the effect HP had on popular culture. HP stuff is pretty much universally recognizable and sometimes it's either use HP references or go something more obscure-and in a case like this, where I'm describing a made-up condition that I don't even define in the story, it could be very confusing if the audience doesn't make the connection. (also the other half is a Twilight reference, so it's doubly cursed)
Oh, and if you noticed, it's spelled differently for both Gale and Tigerclaw, because Tigerclaw is pronouncing it wrong. :D
Draxum probably doesn't even fucking know what a browsing history is, let's be real. It's a good thing he's gotten really into this dad roleplay thing and hasn't Googled anything about mind control or how to deal with your kidnapped son's estranged brothers.
Huginn and Muninn, hmm, I'll have to think about that. I haven't really thought about them in the epilogue, to be honest, they kind of just flit in and out of the story when convenient. I can't see him blaming Cass, she's as much a victim as he is. Tigerclaw-I mean, to be fair to Tigerclaw, he's operating on limited information. Draxum told him that Galois is his son. Why should he doubt that?

today was quiet. i talked to leo early on but i was laughing so hard that meredith sent him a message "molly is laughing too hard. go to sleep." it was so funny omg
anyway it was pretty quiet. i like getting to hang out with meredith. she's delightful.
at the end of the day, i ended up staying for another hour and a half to sit and talk to and hang out with jey and leo because i don't get to see them much. it was a great decision. i got to see leo's cats, we all talked about a bunch of things, and i laughed a LOT and im very happy.
when i left, i drove down the road and ended up at a red light. my windows were down because it was nice out (to me), and the car next to me had music playing, so i was nodding and moving along to the music. and then the lady in the passenger seat of the other car says to me, "you can do the macarena to anything, it works! try it!" she was doing the macarena to a song that should not have the macarena done to it. i laughed because that was the LAST thing i expected to hear today 😂 so i said i would and i laughed down the road when the light turned green. and at the NEXT red light, i was a few cars back from the front of the line, and that SUV would be the first in that line, but they slowed down next to me and the lady was dancing more! it was SO FUNNY because she (1) stopped to say something, (2) said something, (3) danced while saying it, and (4) stopped AGAIN to show me that she was dancing! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
literally i laughed halfway down the bridge.
and joel's out for now, and i realize how often he comes home really late. i would like to cuddle with him one of these evenings.
a couple other things, but they're trauma-based.
tw religion, religious trauma, personal trauma, mental and emotional manipulation and abuse
tldr i remembered some ~church~ and "friend" shit that made me angry for my past self and my current self.
as i was driving in cambridge yesterday, i found the mormon church in the area. it's on the road i take to get back to the main thoroughfare to get back to the bridge to get back to the highway. it's right there. i could've lived without finding it. but today as i came up to it i cursed it out and all the people and establishments that fucked me over for so long. i thought about all of the mental gymnastics and hoops i had to jump through to stay and to believe it all.
and then as i was on the highway coming back home, i thought of another experience that i have zero qualms with talking about.
once upon a time, i had a friend at church named lisa. she was funny and smart and no-nonsense and was bisexual, so we understood the lgbt. she also had an account on here and freaked out when she learned that i was in charge of the account. it was nice.
for a while.
lisa and aaron and tyler, the three friends ("friends") i had in that group i had told before that when they hang out if they want to include me that i needed an explicit invitation. i told all of them that. they refused to respect it. but i ignored it.
i texted the group the most, i think. i always texted first. i ignored that, too.
and then one evening when the gathered young adults were playing a game for family home evening, the teams got into an argument and were shouting and yelling really loudly at each other. i didn't want to play but i got up, threw my hands in the air, and yelled as a response, "okay! i'll go next!" just to appease everyone. and i went into the hallway and proceeded to have a panic attack.
while i'm in the middle of breaking down, lisa and tyler and aaron come out to "check on me," which im sure was their intent, but it didn't come across that way.
lisa asked me what was wrong and i said i didn't know. she then said something to the effect of, "this is why we walk on eggshells around you, why we can't talk to you, because we don't know what will set you off since you won't tell us."
it was the meanest thing i can remember her saying to me.
(this was SEVERAL years ago.)
i was just beginning to work through my trauma, much of which stems from constant arguments and screaming matches between my parents throughout my entire childhood.
i didn't know that listening to people yell like that was going to set me off.
if someone is having a panic attack, you don't go up to them during it and say "we can't talk to you because you don't tell us your triggers."
how am i supposed to tell you what's going to set me off when even i don't know what's going to set me off??
it's not okay to blame someone for your actions because they don't know something. it's less okay to do that in the middle of a panic attack. it's even less okay to disguise it as care.
i left that night in tears. i felt terrible. i was exhausted from the attack. but that was the first time i started to think about the mental gymnastics i was doing. i didn't ignore it.
i realized that i always texted first. so i stopped texting first.
i didn't get any more texts.
i stopped offering to do things.
i stopped getting asked to do things, eventually.
and the three of them have been blocked since.
tyler came to visit once, which was nice of him. my only ire towards him is that he went along with lisa's narcissistic tendencies and didn't speak up when she was out of line. narcissistic tendencies don't look good on you.
aaron had been my friend for a long time. not anymore. he didn't stand up for me. he didn't reach out or call or text or try to contact any other way. too mormon for his own good. it's obnoxious. and he's a narcissist, too.
and lisa? i hope she stubs her toe and steps on a sliver of glass. that someone she loves and trusts does something so incomprehensibly unfair and unkind that she knows and feels what it's like to lose an entire group of friends. you don't fucking blame someone for not knowing triggers when they just fucking find out about them. for someone who was getting a phd in criminal justice, you really lacked the empathy and understanding to be a good friend. you fucked that up and you treated me so terribly. and for what? because you and the other two stooges who also were narcissists needed someone to take advantage of?
fuck you.
get fucking bent.

That's the last anon about the canon stuff here! What I meant is that making a pairing canon with two characters being siblings while allowing the players to make others allowing the players to make marry said characters sounds like a cursed idea. For example if they made Chrobin canon than Morgan and lucina would be canonically sibilings but in normal circumstances Morgan and Lucina can get married so imagine if they let this option available provided that you make another father fro Morgan while knowing who is canon dad is !!
and the multiverse thing was used to explain time travel in Awakening. You know ? alternate timeline and stuff. Like in the drama Cd they explained it's why the future Ylisse would still remain destroyed and why the future units are still orphans no matter what. For example, in Hiddent Truths, the Trio first begged Anankos if he could revive their parents and Emblem Lucina speaks her father as dead. This confirms the fact that Awakening relies on several branches.
Ooooh I get you I get you. Yeah see that option is why I personally think nothing will ever be canon just inferred like they've been doing. That said while Chrobin is pretty pushed, if someone would rather ship Lucina and Morgna people shouldn't get mad, because in that person's canon obviously they aren't sibilings. Or maybe they are, and they want to ship them anyway, that's odd to me but I have no right to judge someone's fictional preferences
And yeah the future line stays the same no matter what I think the new line is just an off shoot? Kind of like how Madoks Magica does it? Instead of Lucina trying millions of times it was once but I think all these lines is the best way to describe it. Also the ruined future Naga sent Chrom and Robin to to interfere wasn't even the og place Lucina came from it was another one so there's probably a bunch of lines out there. And only those two, our plot, and the one that Naga interfered in are the ones Grima failed in. I dunno man time travel and lines and all this stuff is honestly too much for FE to handle I'm stunned we never got an Awakening anime or manga to really go into things, Fates got that Leo manga that really helped explain a lot about Rev for example.
I also think it's a strong possibility because we know Robin wasn't the same person in the OG timeline he wasn't as close with Chrom and thus there was not as strong as a bond and Lucina has a different parent in the og line then the new line, heck the kids could even all have different parents (they don't but it's always a possibly the butterly effect and all that) Grima did say touching Robin knocked his memories out and it was amnesic Robin who was the one to for lack of a better term be Chrobin'd. What's Robin's true personality? Who knows, but my belief is Grima *is* Robin's original personality and Robin is amnesic Grima. So in other words the reason the new line didn't turn out like the first was Robin was just a nicer person. I have nothing to back this up and this is all headcanons but like...we also have nothing from the og line so people can make up stuff as they go lol

"Also, maybe don't curse in front of him now that he's able to talk." Hazel chastised. Leo stuck his tongue out at her, and Carter followed suit. "See, he's copying you! I can't have him go to the daycare and teach all my other kids a bunch of bad words, the parents'll think it's my fault!" Leo grinned down at Carter. "Ok, sobrino. I won't teach you any more cuss words, like shit, or ass, or-" "STOP!" Hazel yelled, with the raw panic of a woman on the verge of losing her job. "Stop trying to make him cuss." Carter looked at Hazel. "... Cuss!" Hazel sighed. "Well, at least you're not cussing, just saying the word 'cuss'." Carter laughed. "Cuss!" Nico laughed. "Is that gonna be your new favorite word, little one?"
The c was a little too hard for Carter to pronounce, so he mostly was just shouting “uss”, but he seemed to be enjoying himself. Nico smiled as they finished up dinner, and Will stood up to cut up the brownies he’d brought. It was nice to be surrounded by his family and friends for dinner, and Nico felt like he’d actually done something good today, which was the first time that had happened since the accident. Well, he couldn’t really even say it was an accident, now could he? Now that Nico was thinking about it again, he should probably call his dad to check on the whole process. If Luke was out of the hospital and had been arrested, Nico would probably have to do something, like attest in court or something like that. He didn’t want to, but he would do whatever it took to make sure Luke couldn’t hurt anyone Nico loves again.

Fates: was the story as bad as people say?: a response (Revelation 2/2).
> Corrin explains the curse (once again raising questions of the limitations of said curse, especially as /u/GameBooColor pointed out last post Corrin says Anankos' name outside of Valla, meaning the curse can very easily be worked around)
Can you tell me when that happens?
Also, yeah, Anankos's name isn't Valla; it's not going to hurt anyone to say, and in fact, Garon (and i think Iago) say it multiple times throughout both Birthright and Conquest. The only thing this changes is that we now know that Corrin and Azura can try to claim that some random Nohrian deity is actually the leader of the third party, which isn't going to be much more convincing than what they already said.
> I'm still not over people going from considering Corrin a traitor to jumping into an abyss before them (and even wanting to be ordered to do so, according to Scarlet!)
They got over the traitor thing throughout the story, so i don't see the issue with them believing in Corrin now, especially when Xander, Leo and Takumi were basically the only ones to take serious offense to Corrin's deserting.
> almost as confusing is Azura being able to "sense" something from below. If you'll recall, Camilla also sensed something otherworldly from Garon earlier in Revelation. Where does this sense come from and why do they have that ability?
I'll give you that Camilla's line is weird, but i'm fine with Azura being able to vaguely sense things in Valla from the Canyon; she was born there, lived there for years, has a bunch of Vallite blood in her, and made constant trips back to Valla even after leaving. If anyone in the party was to have a connection to Valla, it'd be Azura.
> Oh, and like mentioned last post, Azura is consistently ignored. The siblings are here because of Corrin's actions and they're ready to jump into the abyss for Corrin's sake, but Azura's contributions are neglected and her entire character ignored.
What contributions? Her only involvement in this story so far was her telling Corrin about Valla; Corrin's been the one making decisions, gathering allies, regaining people's trusts, and generally pushing the plot forward ever since Chapter 7; what contributions did Azura EVER make that were neglected, especially from the royal families who probably don't even know about her only important action in the story?
Also, again, Azura is shy and doesn't like attention, and it's unknown how much time she even spent with the Hoshidan royal family; she doesn't get much attention from the other characters because she doesn't want to.
> Azura confirms Garon and Sumeragi knew about Valla and that royalty from both their countries visited Valla. Question: if the country is so peaceful, wouldn't some people from Valla live in the outside world? Furthermore, wouldn't there be written records of Valla, especially if they send gifts to the royal families of Nohr and Hoshido? I just find it difficult to believe all knowledge of the place would vanish within less than a generation, curse or no.
She never states that Sumeragi knew about Valla, only that Garon started worshipping Anankos after being possessed and that, “a long time ago”, Hoshido and Nohr had good relations with Valla:
> Aqua: A long time ago, the Invisible Kingdom was apparently a peaceful kingdom.
> Their royal family had positive relations with those of Hoshido and Nohr...
> Ryouma: What? That's the first time i've heard of that...Hoshido and Nohr knew of this place?
> Aqua: Yes. Hoshido's “Throne of Truth” is said to have been a gift from the Invisible King.
> But, when Hydra went mad...this country changed.
Ryoma and the rest of the royal siblings not knowing about that, along with the “long ago” line, pretty heavily implies that Valla had already cut off contact with the real world long before Anankos took over; beats me as to why, but it seems to be what happened.
> Given how easy it was to convince Leo and Xander of this, if that overhearing a particularly crazy evil monologue helped, I will say that I find it unlikely they'd be so reluctant to believe Azura and Corrin explaining the Garon situation in Conquest, once again reinforcing the idea that the invasion of Hoshido was for nothing.
They're only convinced so easily because Garon started going completely insane right in front of them, much more so than he does in any of the other routes, and they had time to think over Corrin's claims of Garon being manipulated prior to being told that he was straight-up possessed; this is a completely different context from Conquest's situation, and trying to equate the two is incredibly disingenuous. I do wish more time was spent showing the Nohrian siblings being surprised and/or upset at the reveal, but i never said nor will say that the pacing in Revelation isn't rushed.
> How on earth did Arete tell Azura all of this? I guess they could've gone back to Valla,
Who said anything about going back? We don't know how long it took Arete and Azura to flee Valla; couldn't she have told her most of that while she was still in Valla, prior to making it out of there and into Nohr?
Besides, it's not like Arete seems to have told Azura that much, or at least not much that couldn't be explained in either the real world or Valla. She told Azura about Anankos and how he killed her father, took over Valla and wants to do the same to Nohrshido; probably told her about how to go back there if she wanted and/or that anyone without a lot of dragon blood would have to jump off the Canyon to reach Valla, along with how the curse works; and might have told Azura about how the crystal ball works and where the hiding spot she later gives Gunter is, though those are both unsubstantiated and Azura's just as likely to know about that from experimentation as she is being told so.
None of those pieces of knowledge would be impossible, or even difficult, to convey outside of Valla, given how none of those need to name the kingdom in order to work and can be easily phrased in vague ways.
> but Fates has thus far said that Arete both died in defense of Nohr and that she died to the curse; does Azura mean Arete telling her about Valla is the same as defending Nohr? Did Arete know about the curse, and if so, did she know how much time she'd have before she disappeared? Given that it only works outside of Valla it seems unlikely she would've been able to know the details of it.
Why not? Arete was Vallite royalty; she, of all people, should know how the curse works, especially since we don't know who was told about it or how long it'd been since Anankos put said curse out on the world, or who was told how it worked. We don't have enough information on the specifics of the curse to claim that Arete knowing how it works doesn't make sense.
> And if Valla was so dangerous that all its denizens died, why did Azura go there so frequently, as stated in Conquest?
She liked the peace and quiet, felt homesick, and knew about a hiding spot good enough that Gunter was able to hide away in it for days if not weeks without getting into serious fights with the Vallite soldiers; there's nothing stopping her from using that exact same hiding spot herself, nor anything implying that she didn't.
> The curse is and has always been a small band-aid on the gaping wound that is Fates' structure; it is ostensibly the single reason as to why there is more than one route, yet as Fates continuously demonstrates, all it leads to are questions upon questions upon questions, and the game refuses to both ask and answer them.
It's ONE reason. The other one is that Azura's bad at talking to and convicing people and doesn't think the royal family would believe her without evidence, especially when she'd have to convince people to jump off a cliff if they want proof for her claims. Remove the curse and that reason for why Azura doesn't tell people about Valla still remains.
> Anthony gets transformed into a Faceless, which begs one question: if Anthony was indeed a living human, couldn't Anankos just turn all the playable characters into Faceless?
Anthony's also been under direct control from Anankos for an unspecified amount of time; there's nothing to imply he could turn anyone he wishes into a Faceless as long as they're in Valla just because he did so to someone who'd been working directly for him for a while. I'd give you this point if there was anything in the game that implied Anankos could just do that to anyone he wants, but since he doesn't and there's nothing to imply he can, this is not a contradiction.
> Corrin was too trusting, as they themselves say, but Xander and Ryoma practically tell Corrin not to change. While the game unlikely intends it, the lines come across as actively stopping any character development on the protagonist's part.
Corrin only got as far as he did in Rev by trusting people, even former enemies, and said trust is what ultimately causes the ceasefire between the royal families to happen and Anankos to be defeated. Corrin being convincing and a good judge of character is the main reason they're as succesful as they are in this route; not only is trying to change such a fundamental part of who they are unlikely to suceed, it's likely to cause them to fail later on if they do, if Rev is any indication.
It'd also fuck with one of Revelation's themes; throughout the game, Corrin confides in people, even if they're currently his enemies, to try and get them to ally with him, and they end up trusting him back after he's proven himself with his actions; having Corrin undergo that negative character development, after being proven right in being trustful for 20 chapters, because of one instance where said trust hurt them more than it helped, would make the theme of unity and trust ring pretty hollow.
> I also want to point out just how common it is for Fates to temporarily include a traitor in your ranks or center a map/mini arc around them: Hans (prologue), Zola (Birthright), Flora (Birthright), Takumi (Birthright, involuntarily), Kotaro (Conquest), Anthony (Revelation), Gunter (Revelation).
Was Kotaro a traitor, at least in the way that the others on this list were? Sure, he tried to lie to the team about kidnapping Kagero, but the team clearly takes Saizo's word over Kotaro's as soon as they hear his explanation, demand he prove his innocence, and were about to beat/kill him prior to him defending himself. I'm not sure he should be here.
> This feels so incredibly lazy and it's part of the problem with having a main character like Corrin who lacks agency and rarely initiates fights nor plans ahead.
Yes, because it's not like there's a consistent theme throughout Fates (though mostly BR and Rev) of trusting in people and how that can be beneficial and detrimental, exemplified and developed by Corrin's experiences with trust throughout the stories, with multiple characters betraying that trust and Corrin having to learn and grow from the betrayal. It's just lazy writing, don't think about it any harder than that or try to analyze the story or characters on any deeper levels than surface-level feelings and hunches along with calling anything that isn't explicitly explained/has to be inferred from context and dialogue a plot-hole or, if there's no logistical issues with a chapter or scene, meaningless filler; that's how you get hundreds of updoots on the circlejerk that is r/fireemblem.
Rant aside, what does Corrin's supposed lack of agency (which, even if Odo had given any explanation on why that's supposed to be a bad thing in the first place, is mostly relegated to BR, with Corrin taking initiative and starting most of the fights they participate in in CQ and Rev, the very route Odo's criticizing) and planning (unsubstantiated btw) have to do with people betraying them? How would being more active or more of a planner stop them from having their trust in people betrayed? What's the correlation?
> Conquest had you face the Hoshidan siblings neatly four chapters in a row to savor the dramatic effect at the cost of logistics and logic, and here the enemies are Arete, Mikoto, and Sumeragi.
Explain what the costs to logic were; the only thing you had to say about the Hoshidan family chapters of CQ in your analysis was complain that it didn't make sense for them to be defending important and well-fortified military positions separately instead of all together (leaving the other important positions undermanned), that they weren't fighting in the open fields of Hoshido against the Nohrian army at random (which would be a stupid decision for any military leader to make), and that there weren't guerilla attacks (ignoring that there was a significantly larger army than Corrin's fighting the Hoshidans off-screen and that we can't know what they did to that portion of the army; baseless claim).
> 3) The Nohrians are completely unrelated to these speeches, and the main plot doesn't advance either. You're just walking towards Anankos and the Hoshidans get some closure while the Nohrians temporarily disappear.
Why is that a major issue? The Nohrians don't have any relationship with the dead parents; why should they have any involvement in these scenes, alongside the Hoshidans, who actually care about the people who are dying in front of them?
Also, again, something not being completely relevant to the main plot doesn't make it bad; these scenes are there to give the charactes involved closure. Not every scene or aspect of a story needs to be of extreme importance to the plot for it to be there.
> So, what do the dead parents say? Well, Arete merely says she loves Azura and is glad she got to see her again. It's very short, very basic, and no new info is given.
She also apologizes to Azura for causing her to have such a rough upbringing, though that's still minor; the focus of the scene is more on Azura's emotional response to getting to connect with Arete again for the first time in years anyway, what with her special smiling portrait being used for the first time in any of the routes, along with her following Corrin's lead and trusting Arete not to betray her when she goes to hold her and telling Arete that she made a lot of friends during her journey, ending with Azura crying, again for the first time in any of the routes. So i'd argue it's not exactly fair to the scene to focus solely on what the dying character has to say instead of the alive one.
> This is never once acknowledged despite how important the family feud is supposed to be in Fates. This should be a major revelation (gott'em) but it isn't, same as in Birthright, only this time Corrin also ignores their actual blood related family member as well.
I won't repeat myself here; go to the first part of my Birthright response (link here) if you want the full explanation for why Corrin wouldn't, shouldn't and doesn't care about the reveal in the slightest. It still holds just as true here as it did there.
> It's possible Sumeragi took Mikoto in as a concubine, but why is this so vague? Either Sumeragi cheated, which makes him an asshole,
Sure, but the Hoshidan siblings still care about and like him; even assuming that this is the explanation for that, they're not going to shit-talk someone they deeply like and respect in his final moments by bringing up that time he cheated on his wife instead of saying their goodbyes to the man who raised them, and apparently did so well.
> took Mikoto as a concubine, which is what Garon does and it's framed in a negative light,
Garon taking concubines isn't really framed negatively in and of itself; it's him not caring to try and stop the concubines's rampant infighting, murdering and scheming that's portrayed as a mistake. Sumeragi having concubines but it not being portrayed negatively isn't a contradiction if things went better for him, his children and his wives than they did with Garon, which it evidently did thanks to how much better off the Hoshidan siblings are mentally compared to the Nohrian ones.
> or Ikona was completely fine with being replaced. None of these options reflect well on the characters involved in this.
How does Ikona willingly and gladly accepting being replaced, according to this possibility, a bad look for any of these characters? Doesn't that just mean that she didn't want the responsibility of being queen anymore and left it to Mikoto? Isn't this by far the least morally questionable option for how Mikoto became queen, aside from Ikona conveniently dying soon after having Sakura?
> Can I ask one more thing? What are the odds that Arete and Mikoto are, to our knowledge, the only two adult survivors outside of Valla and also end up becoming queens of Nohr and Hoshido?
Do we know if they're the only people who made it out of Valla and survived to adulthood? Where's the evidence for that?
> I mean, even ignoring the astronomical chance of that happening, and ignoring Garon's concubines and Sumeragi's actual wife (which are two huge things to just set aside, don't misunderstand me), it hardly feels like something two people fleeing a crazy god with their infant children would do. Feels kind of high profile.
Why should they care about Anankos at that point? They know he's in Valla, preparing to take over the world, and that he's incredibly unlikely to remember, know or care about two Vallite royal members leaving Valla and never coming back when he has an army to build and kingdoms to instigate; they're perfectly safe as long as they don't say Valla's name, so i don't see why they shouldn't aim high and try to live a comfortable life as royalty.
> Also, one last thing: how did Sumeragi know Mikoto had traveled from Valla? Could you talk about Valla back then? If so, why did only the royal families of Hoshido and Nohr know about it, as implied by Azura earlier?
Where is it implied that he knew where Mikoto came from as soon as he met her? Isn't it much more likely that he learned about her birthplace, or at the very least it's name, after he became one of Anankos's soldiers, and that's how he knows that?
> "I killed this unrelated character because I don't like you" is basically Iago territory. Even so, didn't Scarlet shield Corrin? I don't think Gunter ever actively targeted her, so not only does Gunter's answer not make much sense, Corrin is also asking the wrong question.
The conversation goes pretty differently in the jp script: (linkmstr fates rev playthrough chapter 26 timestamp 4:10)
> Corrin: Why...?!
> ...What did you...do this for...
> Gunter: What for? Because you weren't paying attention.
> Thus, i took your naive trust and ripped it to shreds.
In this context, they're much more likely to be talking about Gunter's betrayal in general, not specifically him killing Scarlet and trying to kill Corrin.
> And what's more, if Gunter had this kind of power, why did he stop attacking and hide until now? Couldn't he have stabbed them in the back during a fight?
I assume that's what he was going to try and do once they started fighting Anankos; he only revealed himself once Corrin proved he was the traitor, after all.
> To start with, Gunter's offer to drink dragon blood is the first and only time we've heard about this process. What exactly would it entail? Would it be Garon's blood, or would it come straight from Anankos? If Garon had the ability to power people up with dragon blood, which is often what happens when characters in Fire Emblem are descended from people who got a similar offer, wouldn't he do so more often as it'd improve the strength of his army?
We don't know if the dragon blood would have strengthened Gunter; there's no indication anywhere in the game as to what it'd have done to him if he'd drank it. This entire paragraph is guesswork.
> I'm also in awe that Nohr manages to conquer anything considering the land is barely hospitable (and also cursed), but its king arbitrarily kills off his own people and is rebelled against on multiple fronts.
The land in the capital is barely hospitable; not so for the conquered territories, which is where they get all their resources from. Also, killing people on a whim is something you get to do when you're a tyrant with complete control of the military. We only know of two rebellions in the game against Nohr, both of which are quickly and easily destroyed once Garon loses his patience with them.
> So, I think this is supposed to be some kind of political commentary...? At the end of the final path. Or maybe it's just a hamfisted excuse for the Gunter twist. Regardless, I think the dialogue here is also incredibly bizarre too; Xander and Ryoma seem to think this is some kind of misunderstanding and that royals aren't like that at all. However, in Xander's case, hasn't he seen and heard enough about Garon and his ilk to know that this should be happening regularly? I mean Leo's line in Conquest about all the Nohrian siblings stealthily disobeying Garon's orders seems to imply as much.
> This dialogue is asinine and, I don't know, childish? Characters in Fates feel like an AI's approximation of how humans talk, but essential pieces are missing.
Corrin, Xander and Ryoma's lines don't exist at all in the jp script:
> Gunter: ...Well? ...I don't understand how royalty thinks.
> For royalty like you, you probably think commoners and weeds are no different.
> Kamui: ......
> Marx: ......
> Ryouma: ......
I don't think i need to explain why this difference makes the previous few paragraphs innacurate.
> Do we know how much of this was Gunter and how much was Anankos?
Anankos's possession works by taking already-existing negative emotions like sorrow, resentment, or anger, and slowly amplifying said feelings more and more until it reaches unreasonable degrees, to the point of being able to mind-control someone eventually, as demonstrated by Takumi in Conquest. By all accounts, Gunter is near-completely blameless for this.
> Forgiveness being given so easily in this game is one of those contributing reasons to why everyone feels so lifeless.
Some people are just quick to forgive someone who wronged them; i don't know what else to say to that.
> Ryoma doesn't say a word about Scarlet here,
Ryoma also knows that that was Anankos's fault, not Gunter's; why would he blame him for being possessed and being forced to do something he'd never have done otherwise?
> and Corrin doesn't mind Gunter, a man they grew up with, having been around purely for selfish reasons.
Corrin's memories of Gunter, and their friendship with him, are more important to them than the fact that he didn't have good intentions for doing so; plus, they're the forgiving sort in general, as evidenced by all the routes. I don't see the issue with them still liking Gunter.
> Also, how exactly did Gunter plan to use Corrin, again? Corrin was locked inside a fortress most of their life, and we saw none of Gunter's scheming in the prologue nor in Conquest.
Taking a member of the royal family hostage is pretty good leverage; i don't doubt that Gunter would have tried to take Corrin hostage in the prologue if Hans hadn't thrown him off that bridge.
> The subplot has no real thematic, character or story value, meaning it was likely added to increase the tension of the journey to Anankos,
Idk about it not having the first two; it's a pretty blatant continuation and development of the trust theme that's been prevalent throughout both Birthright and Revelation, what with Corrin choosing to continue trusting Gunter even after finding out that most of his affections to them were likely an act and that he directly betrayed them, even if only due to mind-control; it also gives a nice amount of depth to Gunter as a character by expanding on his backstory and motivations. I won't argue it couldn't have been easily removed from the story, but there's enough interesting details there to justify it's inclusion.
> but surely a dragon as powerful as him would have a stronger presence on his home turf than acting through Gunter for the few chapters where the plot remembers to make use of him or even acknowledge there being an assassin in their ranks.
Anankos assuming direct control (if you know you know) of his hosts is a pretty massive buff to them; just look at Gunther and Takumi pre- and post-possesssion.
Besides, he's pretty much thrown everything he has at the team already, other than fighting them directly; they've beaten his army every time they fought, foiled an assassination attempt on their leader's life, killed his most powerful generals, and freed one of his only two hosts from his control. I genuinely don't see what else he's supposed to do against them at this point; he's certainly not been shown or implied to be capable of doing anything else to Valla or the team.
> At long last, our heroes reach Anankos, who starts whining over humans thriving while he's left alone. We know the guy is crazy and the Rainbow Sage told us about dragon degeneration, but like...does he have to be so pathetic? Maybe it's just meant to be sad and it's like you're taking a pet to get euthanized, but this is the true big bad. The one responsible for manipulating (I use that term VERY generously) the Nohrian royalty into attacking Hoshido, someone who has been scheming to take over the world above (?) while remaining hidden. Maybe I was wrong to expect more than whining and stock evil monologue.
Why does one contradict the other? Someone can be manipulative and ambitious while also feeling slighted over a perceived injury done to him by an entire race; what's wrong with Anankos having gone mad and still being angry and upset at humanity for betraying him, to the point of sounding pathetic when airing his grievances?
> Xander, as is also tradition at this point, says something strange:
> Xander: After all that we've suffered... We lose our father as well?
> Not to sound callous, but what have the Nohrians lost at this point? Hans and Iago? Sure, there has been fighting between Hoshido and Nohr, so a generous interpretation is that Xander is talking about the casualties of the war. But, like...there has been zero attention put on them. In Valla, all we see are the royal siblings, Azura, Corrin, Gunter, and a very warped family tree.
Why is the fact that the casualties of the war aren't given much attention supposed to be a counter-argument to the possibility that Xander's talking about the people that died during the war tho?
This is an issue with these posts that i've alluded to previously, but since we're nearing the end of them, i'll make it clear one last time: dozens of times throughout this analysis series, Odo brings up an issue he has with the story, points out a possible counter-argument for said issue, then uses the fact that said counter-argument is based on a plot point/line of dialogue that doesn't have an unquantifiable and unexplained amount of screen time dedicated to it as a defeater for said counter-argument; not only is it never once explained why a plot point needs significant amounts of screentime before it can be used as an argument, not only is it never explained how much time that even is, ignoring plot points and character details that could explain and inform what happens in a story just because they're minor is terrible argumentation.
I wouldn't have as much of an issue with these moments if they were at least rare, but these posts are positively fit to bursting with these points; i implore anyone reading this to go back through Odo's posts and count how many times he brings up possible counter-arguments to his positions only to dismiss them as false solely due to insufficient screentime/bringing up dev intentions when talking about in-universe logic/complete non-sequiturs. It's one of the worst and most consistent parts of a series of already terrible analysis posts.
> Even with KotOR II being rushed out the gate despite the developers' protests, the writing of the game is generally top notch even for people who aren't fans of Star Wars like me, and it mostly remains thematically consistent and features a well-thought-out cast of characters who all have something to contribute to the overarching story. Fates lacks any of this, so when the entire cast is suddenly standing in the Valla throme room, I can't help but think that the infamously unfinished KotOR II has a more coherent ending.
This is a nonsensical comparison; the only thing i can even imagine the two games having enough in common with to warrant it being brought up in this post is Odo equating a timeskip to the multiple logistical issues with base Kotor 2's ending, which is incredibly disingenuous.
Even then, the arguments made by Odo as to why he thinks Kotor 2 has a better ending than Rev are nothing short of bizarre; he says it has good writing, good characters and is thematically consistent and, because Fates doesn't have any of that (citation desperately needed), it automatically makes the ending of Kotor 2 more coherent?? What do any of the previous points have anything to do with which of the two games has the more logical ending???
> Corrin's coronation in Valla is perhaps the single strangest scene I've personally ever seen in any game that tries to tell a serious story. Not once did this come up, outside of mentioning in passing that Corrin is part of the Valla royal family. But, like, the country is dead!
No it's not:
> Anthony: Yes. Right now, all the people left here...
> Without even being able to leave, we now live like slaves.
There's plenty of people still alive in Valla, and the country itself seems to be doing relatively fine on resources and such; why can't Corrin rule over what's left, exactly?
> Azura is also alive!
And doesn't want to take the throne; being king or queen of a country isn't easy, let alone of one that's going to need a lot of rebuliding. Plus, it's possible to marry her to a male Corrin so they rule together, making this entire point null and void if that happens.
> You can't just make the protagonist the king or queen of an otherworldly country locked underneath a magical gate with all its inhabitants dead without any sort of planning or preparation!
It's a timeskip; we don't know how long it's been since they killed Anankos, a point you yourself bring up just a few paragraphs later, making me wonder why this point is even here if you already knew when writing it that the game answers your criticism.
> And what happened to the shifting skies which would keep Valla sort of sealed for a few vague decades or so?
Given that Xander and Ryoma can still visit Valla a few months later at most, Anankos's death seems to have fixed that issue; no idea why, but it evidently did.
> Right. Land donations. Of course. They can't stay in Valla, so Xander and Ryoma literally create a country for Corrin to rule over. Why would they do this?!
Because Corrin saved the world and is going to need resources if they want to rebuild Valla? Why are you so surprised at Xander and Ryoma being willing to give them some land when Corrin's the only reason they're still alive and they know they're going to need help to run a kingdom?
> I understand a time skip is implied since Ryoma and Xander are referred to as kings, but couldn't they at the very least fade to black and write "a few months later" or something? The way the game transitions into this scene you'd think they walked from fighting to Anankos to this, and it's honestly what I thought before reading the script again now.
I thought Fates didn't leave anything open-ended or had any subtlety, and that you'd have preferred if it did; why are you now complaining that the game didn't spell out the fact that it's been a while since Anankos died and instead trusted players to figure out as much by context clues from the dialogue and story? Isn't this exactly the kind of thing you wanted when you complained about Garon being teleported in and killed just to tie up the remaining loose ends?
> But why? Why are you doing this? Why is this necessary?
What else are they supposed to do with Valla now that it doesn't have a king? Give up on any hopes of ever rebuilding the place, hoping that the remaining Vallites just agree to abandon their home and live in Nohr and/or Hoshido, instead of giving the place over for someone to rule? Why is this being treated as an issue?
> And why would Corrin be a good monarch because they're a good person? I thought Revelation more than any route established that they're naive and guillable.
Not really; Corrin trusting in people is the only reason they managed to defeat Anankos, and the only times they're truly tricked in Rev by someone they trusted are Anthony (partially; they immediately suspected that he was going to do something shady and warned the rest of the team to look for them and kill Anthony if they didn't return, and went along with him on the slim chance that Anthony wasn't lying) and Gunter (even then still figures out that he's the traitor after realizing a contradiction in his arguments, before he can do any further harm to the team); they may be trusting, but they aren't naive or guillible.
> So, uh, Camilla doesn't want to become queen in Birthright, Hinoka has to become queen in Conquest because her brothers are dead, and here Azura says she doesn't want to be queen because of Corrin's magic sword. This is a very, very concerning pattern.
Camilla doesn't want to become queen in Birthright because she knows she isn't fit for the job, Hinoka says she never thought she'd take the throne and that she always expected it to be Ryoma or Takumi, who's younger than her, implying that either Hoshido's succession line is patriarchal or that she, just like Camilla, doesn't want the responsibility of running an entire country, and Azura demonstrates herself to be a poor leader multiple times throughout Rev. Her mentioning the Yato is a very minor point compared to the other one.
Being in charge of a country, in case you don't know, is a tremendous pain in the ass; them not wanting to deal with all that bullshit isn't what you're implying it is, and why would it be? Why is it that three women not wanting to dedicate the rest of their lives to leading a country, preferring to give that burden away to someone better-prepared for dealing with the issues that would come with being a monarch, giving themselves more freedom in how they live their lives, sexist?
> I've always wondered, if Anankos knew he'd be crazy and created an elaborate plan for others to kill him, why did he make it so needlessly complicated and why didn't he kill himself? The Rainbow Sage could die whenever he wanted, so there's precedence.
I haven't looked at the DLC in a while, so i can't speak on that, but just from what Azura said in this convo, Anankos's plan doesn't seem to have been particularly convoluted; hell, it doesn't even come across as if he had a plan. The only thing Azura says here is that Anankos made a song that could weaken himself and hoped that someone would use it to kill him if and when he went mad; doesn't seem like much of a plan to me, or at least not a convoluted one, though maybe the DLC complicates things.
I also don't see why Anankos should share the Sage's ability to kill himself whenever he wants; they're both dragons, sure, but i don't understand why they should share abilities just because of that.
> And, like always, questions that should be asked aren't. Despite offering so little in terms of subplot and main plot progression, Corrin doesn't even ask who their father is after Mikoto reveals they're part of the Valla royal family. And why is that? Likely to sell more DLC.
Also because they don't care who their father is; why should they, when they have the much more pressing issues of their mother dying in front of them and having a dragon to kill? Why's that a question that would be running through Corrin's mind with all the shit going on when Mikoto being Vallite was revealed, especially when they still consider Sumeragi their real father, as evidenced by their convo with him in the next chapter?
> Because even though this is the golden ending, they chose to confirm that Corrin is Anankos' child in DLC, despite the fact that it should have been of monumental importance for the Revelation route.
What importance would Corrin knowing who their father was have had for Rev? Corrin feeling slightly more bad about having to kill Anankos to save the world, only to do so anyway because they don't have any relationship with him whatsoever and, as such, wouldn't have any emotional problems with killing him? The only times that Corrin's heritage matters in Rev is that it's why they take the throne, and that's just because they're descended from royalty, not because of Anankos; i genuinely have no idea what importance you're trying to argue that that reveal's supposed to have.
> From a certain point of view, Revelation renders Birthright and Conquest obsolete in terms of story value, as even if you choose them, you'll always know that you picked a bad ending. Anankos will still be alive, Corrin won't know about him, at least one legendary weapon wielder will be dead, and so he'll always be able to come back.
Do we know whether or not the remaining siblings can pick up the legendary weapons? The children of the wielders evidently could, so i don't see why their siblings shouldn't also be able to. The Sage also seemed to think things were going to work out fine for them, or else he'd have told them about Anankos; something must have happened post-game that made things end well for the world, even if we don't know what, and it's still possible for Anankos to be killed thanks to the other siblings still being alive.
And even if i were to give you that the BR and CQ worlds are fucked, why does that make them obsolete? That'd just mean it's in a worse state than in Rev; there's still plenty of unique stuff that happens in those stories, with their own story values. One route having a better ending for the world than the others doesn't mean the other two routes, with worse endings for the continent, don't have story value anymore.
This post was...okay. It wasn't as good as the last one, but it also wasn't the trainwreck that was CQ part 2; the only things i have to say about this is that Odo really toned up the subjective arguments for this part in general (though none of them are as individually bad as the Izumo feast; that part was insane in how bad-faith it was), made a pointless and nonsensical Kotor 2 comparison completely unprovoked (though perhaps i shouldn't be surprised at the existence of non-sequiturs in these posts; god knows i've dealt with enough of them already while trying to read these), misinterpreted Corrin's character (as usual), refused to use simple inferrence to easily answer his own questions (also as usual), and made what i think is the first, or at least most blatant, contradiction in one of these posts by complaining about Fates's lack of subtlety and/or unwillingness to leave things open-ended, only to complain that a scene was too subtle about how much time it'd been since the last one and asking that the game spell it out for the audience (not a particularly important issue but a funny one nonetheless).
See y'all later.

𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤
pairing: percy jackson x child of aphrodite! gn reader
requested?: yup!
warnings: mentions of underage drinking, one curse word, and mentions of sexual tension
category: fluff, shy boy x obviously interested girl trope
a/n: don't mind me I'm just projecting and I got carried away
Tumblr media
you’re not sure what gravitated you to percy more
the crystal green eyes, the freckles over his nose, the disheveled dark curls, or his clumsiness
the first time you laid eyes on him, he was walking back to his cabin after sword-fighting practice
his tan skin gleamed in the sunlight as a hand came up to swipe away the damp hair sticking on his forehead
for an action so mundane, it made your stomach flutter like crazy
and then the beauty of the moment was ruined right when he trips over the steps of his cabin
you heard stories of the kid killing the minotaur, blowing up a volcano, and rumors of being the suspected child of a huge prophecy
yet, he was not immune from tripping over his feet
and you’re sure the dorky charm of that moment made you think, he’s mine
for the next few days, you were determined to approach him
but you didn’t just want to come up to him and introduce yourself; that would be too plain and forgettable
you ended up finding your opportunity during a capture the flag game
silena gave you instructions to distract percy, and you headed over strong, ready to make your first impression while also taking him down for your team
sure, he had water powers and done a bunch of cool things, but your father made sure you were well trained in sword fighting and martial arts even before you knew about the camp
you planned to take him by surprise, and luckily it worked
with ruthless attacks, it didn’t take long for you to sweep him off his feet and knock his sword out of his hand
by pressing the flat of your sword under his chin, you forced him to look up at you, and you peered into those clear green eyes
gods, he’s cute, you thought
“hey,” you said
percy was stunned, not sure if it was because you effortlessly took him down or if it was because you were one of the prettiest girls he’s ever seen
“... hi,” he sputtered, gawking for a moment as you offered your hand
you swore you felt sparks when his fingers brush across your palm... even though the contact was a little sweaty
in the distance, you heard the satyrs blow the horn and the roars of celebration from your team
“i should go back to the others. catch you later, ocean eyes,” you flirted
percy’s shoulders tensed up when you blew him a kiss; awkwardly frozen in his place as you waited
“well, are you going to catch it? you can’t just let my kiss fly away.”
percy shifted on his feet, not sure if you were serious or not, but when you held your ground with arms folded over your chest, it was clear that’s what you were waiting for
and so with a flushed face, percy awkwardly grabbed the air in the front of him, and you couldn’t help but giggle
“good, i wouldn’t want it flying to a stranger,” you commented playfully. “you know, i don’t really like this whole outdoor camp life thing, but seeing your pretty face around here makes it a lot better”
“uh… oh, thanks?” he stammered, not having the words to respond
you winked at him before walking off, more than satisfied with your first impression
after that, you were contemplating your next move
children of aphrodite can see all the possibilities in a potential relationship
you were able to see you and percy eating ice cream in central park, holding hands at camp, a shy kiss on your first date
you wanted all of it, and you going to make sure you get it
of course, silena and your siblings were your wing women
if percy was in the strawberry fields, you were picking strawberries beside him
in the fields, you got to know him and his sarcastic humor, which made your crush flourish
you even took sword fighting classes at the same time as him and made sure he was your partner most of the time
whenever you had a chance, you’d affectionately fix his hair or his armor just to hear his shy thank you’s
he’s never had a girl show this much interest in him, so you definitely made him a little nervous, but despite that, he opened up to you pretty quick
sometimes he’d help you out in the stables, and you noticed how he’d fumble with the harnesses or knock things over when you would flirt with him
you loved his reactions so much that you always took it up a notch just to see how he’d react
you suppose the pegasi didn’t make percy’s shyness any better
there were times where he’d shush them, or the tips of his ears would grow even more flushed at a neigh or huff from one of the pegasuses
as the summer came to an end, you gave percy your email and made sure you stayed in touch
you didn’t live very far from one another, but you didn’t dare ask to hangout
you wanted to be asked first!
and you were disappointed when the invitation never came despite the two of you being consistent with sending emails
the year flew by fast, though, and you were excited to return to camp for an array of reasons; percy being one of those reasons, of course
when you saw him for the first time that summer, you were in awe at how different he looked after a year
he was taller, broader, and just more handsome overall
your stomach went into a frenzy when he greeted you with a boyish smile while his hand rubbed the back of his neck nervously because he didn’t fail to notice how, somehow, you were even prettier than he remembered
unfortunately, having the prepare for the war meant you guys were too busy to hang out as often as you did the previous summer
but when you did have time to see each other, it was still fun
there was an unspoken rule between you and percy that any talk about the war wasn’t allowed
it allowed you guys to just bask in the nights where you would watch the sunset while joking around and sharing funny stories
those nights were calm and still; they brought a sense of normalcy amongst the chaos and growing tensions
because of this, percy had sought out your company whenever he could get it
being with you made him feel like time slowed down
inevitably, the battle of manhattan occurred and passed, causing the summer to end with the grief of losing your siblings
while campers arranged the ceremonies to honor their siblings, percy hopped around to help
losing silena as a counselor meant it was time to pick a new one, and to your surprise, your siblings nominated you
you were silena’s right-hand person, the oldest in the group after her, and the strongest fighter, so your siblings felt it was fair that you took the role
but it didn’t feel right to you; the pressure of being a newly elected councilor while still grieving silena weighed hard on your shoulders
after the nomination, you needed time to get away and sit with your thoughts, and you were only there for a moment alone until percy had found you
his eyes studied your somber expression, and he was quick to ask what was wrong
as you poured out all your worries, percy was quiet and attentive
you cuddled up to his side for comfort, and even in your sorrow, you didn’t fail to notice the way he tensed up
finally, when you let everything out, he chimed in to soothe your worries
your expression was a little lovestruck as he said everything you needed to hear, and well, his strong arm around your shoulders definitely helped too
you were so elated that you couldn't help but press a kiss on his cheek to thank him
his flushed face was enough to lift your spirits for good that day
by the time the summer officially came to an end, you could feel that percy’s feelings for you were becoming stronger
the romantic possibilities you envisioned became more apparent, but percy hadn’t asked you out yet
and like, you guessed you could have asked him out, but that wasn't fair in your book
you were already making the first moves; it was his turn to do something about it
then you were sure your mother pitied you because finally, after a few more months of emailing, percy asked if you to go ice skating with him, and of course, you agreed
but then, you concluded that it was more like a cruel joke from your mom because percy never showed up
you waited hours for him before you trudged home in defeat
heartbroken wasn’t even enough to describe how you were feeling
being stood up with no follow up from him made you conclude that he just wasn’t interested and you just needed to move on
it wasn’t until you went to CHB for christmas break did you find out percy was missing
you were crazy worried about him and helped as much as you could to try and find him
when it was confirmed that he was still alive, you were more than relieved
from that day on, you were itching to see him again, and finally, after the giant war, you were able to speak to him
you only said a hello before you got sucked into a game of truth or dare with your friends
the game was self-explanatory; spin the bottle and the person who’s chosen is submissive to the person who spun it
you made up some lousy dares for the first few people until you spun the bottle in percy’s direction
“truth or dare?” your voice was challenging, and a little flirty
percy shifts in his place, “truth.”
“do you want to kiss me?”
“dare.”
“kiss me.”
the instigating coos of your friends made you smile, which contrasted percy’s stunned expression
“never have i ever-”
“that’s not even the game, percy!”
your friends laughed at your interaction, but you were honestly a little annoyed
he liked you; you could feel it, so what was he even waiting for?
“it’s fine. you don’t have to kiss me if you don’t want to,” you say with a playful smile in an attempt to hide your disappointment
“shit, i’d kiss you,” leo joked, and you suddenly perked up at the request
a new idea came to your mind
“so kiss me,” you snapped your gaze to leo, a smirk on your face
leo gasped so hard; he choked on his own saliva
while he coughed erratically, showcasing all his shock on his face, you announced, “new rule! you can only give up a dare if someone else in the group offers to take it for you.”
your gaze fixed on leo, “so, are you going to kiss me or what?”
“uh, only if you want to,” he stammered, and you smiled, moving to lean over in his direction
suddenly, percy cut in, “i didn’t give up the dare.”
your attention shifted to him, and you didn’t fail to pick up the jealousy radiating off of him
your stomach flipped with anticipation at the success of your idea
if percy needed a push, you were going to push him
“you’ve given leo false hope then,” you joked, and playfully leo sighed.
“man, so close,” he mumbled.
you bit your lip as you leaned in percy’s direction
you felt his attraction to you; his eyes told you everything you needed to know and more
and before you knew it, your lips were against his
the kiss was short, but for a moment, the world around you was drowned out; you barely heard the coos and cheers of your friends around you
with a satisfied smirk, you pulled away, settling back in your spot as percy’s eyes averted elsewhere, too shy to look at you
you and your friends played the game until you grew bored and found something else to do
because the festivities kept pulling you in one direction to another, the only interaction you had with percy was the occasional longing glance and nothing else
as you escorted a few of your sisters who drank a little too much back to your cabin, you were sure you’d have to wait another day to talk to him
lost in your dismay, you automatically denied piper’s offer to finish the task
it wasn’t until she scoffed did you pull out of your thoughts
“are you kidding? go. i’ll get them back. you find percy.”
“oh yeah. you guys need to do something about that sexual tension. are you gonna date him or what?” another one of your sisters slurred
before you could even protest, you were shooed away by not only piper but by the rest of your siblings too
you stayed in your spot, making sure they had at least made it to the steps of the cabin before you pranced up to percy’s cabin
you figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask if he wanted to go on a walk with you
your knock is followed by a few moments of shuffling before he opened the door
and, whew, you were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a shirtless percy
“hey." you leaned on the door frame, your eyes trailing down to admire his toned torso
“eyes up here," percy playfully demanded
you were almost hesitant to avert your eyes, but you obliged.
"i wanted to ask if you wanted to take a walk. you know, i just haven’t been sleeping well."
percy leaned against the door frame, amused at the dramatic pout on your face.
“sure, let me put on a shirt firs-”
“oh, you don’t have to. i don’t mind,” you cut him off, and his head tilts back just a little as he laughs
“i’m putting on a shirt,” he declares playfully, and you whine in fake disappointment
on your walk, he told you all the crazy things that happened while he was missing, and even though his stories were a lot more interesting than what you had to say, he was eager to hear about what you've been up to
your conversation persisted as you walked around the camp and as you arrived at the docks, another idea came to mind
suddenly, you cut yourself off mid-sentence, your gaze fixed on the water
“perce, you know, i can’t swim,” you mention, stepping on the wooden dock
“really?”
“really.”
it was quiet for a moment, and percy's expression was laced with confusion as you kicked off your shoes
you didn’t even care that you were wearing designer clothes, running straight off the dock and into the deep lake water
you heard percy yell your name right as your body completely submerges in the water
and it wasn't even more than 3 seconds before percy jumped in, one arm immediately wrapping around your waist to swim up to the surface with you
his baffled expression sent you into a fit of laughter
“what? why did you do that?!”
“cause i knew you’d come and get me.”
percy’s lips curved up into a smile, and you took the time to admire his features in the moonlight
you swore you saw his eyes flicker to your lips for a second, and the action made you hyper-aware of how close your noses were
"kiss me!" you thought in your head as you circled your arms around his neck, pulling him even closer
you could feel his admiration, the accelerated thump of his heart, the fluttering in his stomach that mimicked yours
the kiss you shared earlier was far too short for your liking, and you were already looking forward to the next opportunity to kiss him again
“i haven’t forgotten that i owe you a date.”
you smiled at his words, half-distracted at the proximity of his lips
“so it was a date all along?” you asked, and percy nods, amused
“you know, i was thinking now that there isn’t another big prophecy and the chances of me disappearing again aren’t likely, that, maybe, you and i could-”
“yes! gods, yes.” you cut him off, and percy laughs at your eagerness
you waited too long for the question that you couldn’t even let him finish asking
he isn’t able to say anything else as you pull him into a passionate kiss
it was as if the years of anticipation were being poured into the movement of your mouths
the kiss was long, growing in eagerness until the harpies had ruined your fun and the two of you had to run back to your cabins
a part of you had wished that all of this would have happened sooner
you had plenty of nights where you were stared at the ceiling with conflicted thoughts, wondering if you guys just weren't meant to be, if you somehow made up his attraction to you in your head, or if you should ask him out first and save yourself the potential regret
but when you returned to your cabin full of enthusiastic siblings asking why you were soaking wet and why your lipstick was smudged, you realized you wouldn’t have changed a single thing

Leo: lost his his arm or hand or whatever. Just give him a prosthetic, I don't care. PTSD 'cause he watched his mom burn to death.
Jason: severe vision impairment/legal blindness due to repeated head trauma forcing him to use his powers more to get around. Chronic pain. DID - I doubt Rick would have done a palatable job of if so definitely no but I do think a kid in Jason's position would've been likely to develop some level of dissociation coping techniques, whether straight up DID or just dissociative amnesia
Hazel: her mind already took on a dissociative/hallucinating state after coming from back from the dead and idk - I think it would've been interesting to explore how that affects her in battle. Like would the trauma of hurting people, fighting monsters, trying to protect her weakened brother trigger dissociative states, maybe even a dissociative amnesia? How would that affect her witch powers?
Percy: depression, ptsd, suicidal ideation. This was never a goal for him, this was not the life he wanted, and he's had to do it AGAIN? fuck no. chronic pain would've been neat. Sort of like a rebound from losing the Achilles' curse - everything that hit him that he couldn't feel back then suddenly hits him
Annabeth: idk. I feel having grown up in an environment where she anticipated her life fighting in a war with the "hero" of the prophecy for all of her life she wouldn't find much issue with what's happening to her other than the general in-moment "ow that hurts". Maybe a minor sense of ptsd following tartarus
Frank: his life is tied to a stick. He burned up a bunch of it. Suddenly he's too old for his skin. He still looks young but there's a sense around him of young death and everything hurts. Plus also as he gets deeper and deeper into constant deathly battles outside of camp, sliding into dissociative states (triggered by his father's Roman and Greek sides battling out in his head) where his focused is targeted on power and sacrifice and bloodlust. Him and Hazel could've bonded over their respective struggles to stay in the moment, stay present in themselves rather than defaulting to autopilot and waking up confused and/or horrified
Piper: idk. Look I like Piper but I struggle so much to know remember what she contributed to the books. Maybe shocking Jason back to life or some kind of incident causes her to retreat into a mutism due to her charmspeak. Maybe forcing Jason back to life overpowered her charmspeak to the point where she can't turn it off and so she physically can't speak without using it.
Nico: lmao chronic fatigue and chronic pain, obvi. Ptsd because he was a little boy, why wasn't he more effed up
Reyna: ptsd from childhood trauma.

who are your top ten favorite black clover characters and relationships (platonic or romantic)? talk about them!
Heya anon! I’ll go with the top 10 BC relationships. Covering both platonic and romantic. I’ll put these instead of individual characters because you’ll also see which characters I like. You want me to talk about it and you shall receive my babbling.
Platonic
10. Julius with his sons Yami/William
I would joke a lot about how Julius is a dad but I think he really has a wholesome platonic bond with his adoptive kids. Firstly Julius quickly took in Yami, who is an outsider, made an effort on teaching him the language, and gave him some purpose as someone who had to survive living in a foreign land. If Julius didn’t find him, I think Yami would settle living on the coast. He would be known as some weirdo fisherman. Second, for William he also reached out to him and gave him an opportunity to live differently. Julius made and gave William his iconic mask.
Headcanon: People used to look away from William because of his scarred face but now he gains attention because of one flashy gold mask. It took some time for him to get used to being stared at.
9. Dad Yami & Black bulls
Another dad & kids? Yami may be rough but he doesn't give missions the kids can’t handle. He knows just when to step in once something life threatening happens. He cares and wants his rowdy kids to be more responsible. And what I really like with the Black bulls is Asta and how he does errands without question. Asta is the most responsible of the bunch. Yes, he does the cleaning, does the pet feeding, and the toilet paper replacing.
-The seabed temple arc can be summarized as; Dad takes his kids on a field trip, it goes horribly wrong because the bad guys messed with the wrong family.
8. Charlotte & Sol
Even though Charlotte keeps correcting Sol's 'nee-san' she doesn't really get mad. I find it cute. *whispers* Charlotte actually likes being called nee-san🤭.
7. Julius & Marx
I like just how tired Marx is with Julius' antics. It is also amusing how significantly younger Marx is than Julius and yet their roles are reversed. Marx is the responsible adult and Julius the irresponsible kid. But! Marx is 25 and Julius is 42, that’s a 17 years age difference. So you can see how Julius has placed a huge trust to have Marx as his advisor who is basically a ‘kid’ to him. Also their scene after the elf arc is touching.
6. Mereo/Fuego/Leopold
I love the lion siblings. I mean they are so ‘fiery’. Heh, heh… Fire literally runs through their veins and it shows individually and with their sibling moments. Leo leans closer and relates a lot to his big bro Fuego. But Leo respects his older sister a lot although she can be very ruthless with her training. Meanwhile the only thing I would say for Mereo and Fuego is that they are BOILING HOT.
5. Yuno & Asta
I like them as bros. Yuno stopped being a crybaby because of Asta. Also them competing on who donates more money to the church… Good kids you two🤧😭.
Romantic
4. Finral x Finesse
You can do it Finral ! You can overcome your curse! Langris lowkey wants them to be together but Finral has to prove himself worthy first.
3. Grey x Gauche
I like the reveal of Grey wanting to overcome her struggles after meeting Gauche. Though I still can't see them in scenes too romantic. More of inspiring each other to grow and become stronger. These two need a bit more character development, esp. Grey.
2. Yami x Charlotte
I don't ship them heavily but their scenes in the anime are something I find so hilarious. Charlotte's screaming “Yami!” after the elf incident gets me every time.
AND FINALLY FOR
Number 1. Lumiere x Secre
Surprise, surprise! Woe is Whack to love such a sad, sad ship. As someone who loves the Faust tragedy did anyone see this coming? This one takes the cake because I must confess for also having a thing towards Master x Servant dynamics. My talk here is long for being my top 1.
Personal HCs incoming, buckle up!
-Lumire did eventually view and love Secre as a woman rather than as a servant. But he held back on his feelings for her as to not create any issues among the royals. Because remember that Lumiere is already viewed as an oddball and I'm sure Lumiere knows what people think about him.
-This man can sew! And did you see the dress he made for her? It was so cute and also far more revealing than Secre's servant clothes. He wants to see her in a cute dress. You sneaky prince!
-Secre during her days as a servant and assistant did not think of Lumiere as a romantic interest and only respected him as her master (not that Secre would also dare think of his prince as any more than a master). However, it was only when he battled demon Licht did she realize how much she cared for him. When she sees him bleeding after and attempts to save him, Secre admits to herself that; Yeah, she does love him so much that she would use forbidden magic to save the prince.
-Sadly, Secre during the present time is only left to reminisce about the past. The anime showed how she still finds the time to offer flowers where she sealed him. *sobs*
-Secre keeps the dress he made using her magic. As in either would seal it somewhere or preserved via sealing magic. She will treasure it forever.
Honorable mentions:
Nacht x decent sleep schedule
Morgen x being alive
Yami x toilet paper

i don't think I would be able to write this so succinctly but there's really something about leo and hazel being together during the most critical parts of each others "arcs" and it really annoys me that hazel and leo had some stupid love square with frank and some dead great grandfather. you know and as much as I love jason and leo, literally why couldn't the prophecy be centered around hazel and leo then 😤 okay here's what I mean about their arc:
→ the first "quest" the seven goes on is leo and hazel finding metal with narcissus. however, this is also that moment when nemesis says that crap about leo being the 7th wheel and gives the fortune cookie. hazel says not to take it. leo does.
→ leo finds the archimedes sphere on a quest with hazel. self explanatory.
→ they were literally fated to meet 🤧 slightly related but they're also the only ones where GAEA directly messed up their lives? like jason and leo had hera, but GAEA??? THE BIG BAD????
→ hazel (and frank) is the reason why leo cracks open the fortune cookie that he believes is what leads to literally every bad thing afterward
→ hazel is the one who comes back to life. in tlh, leo calls that freaky behavior... and then proceeds to do it at the end 😖 i feel like this MAJORLY could've been tanked about REGARDLESS in the books
→ hazel and leo were on opposite sides of nico debate. this could've been like, embellished but 😤
→ technically everyone feels that way, but like hazel and leo were ESPECIALLY the ones who thought their gifts were a curse (and to be fair, hazel's was 😭) but like... something about death and fire... hm
→ one of the doors hazel is gives to pick by hecate directly involved leo/frank's probable deaths. hazel does not choose this door
→ hazel and leo are basically the ones most involved in successfully getting percy/anna out of tartarus' elevator doors
→ it's those two who manages to capture nike 🤧
→ hazel(and frank 🙄) are the ones with leo when he learns about the cure. she makes the fake vial for leo's death
anyway while this is more heavy sided toward leo, it annoys me a bunch now because why make the prophecy 'to storm or fire' when jason isn't with leo too much? why change the established trios to emphasize the dumb love square? but like, why throw hazel in the backseat when she's literally so critical???? nearly everything she does moves the plot yet she's treated like a secondary character????
anyway this reminds of this, where leo handles the 'to storm or fire' but hazel should've handled 'doors of death' in the prophecy
or like, why establish the lost trio at the center of it all and then not actually do that
(links are my posts cause i don't listen to other people 😤)
regardless. what was this for. what was going on here. why did this happen. too many questions and it just pisses me off knowing that hazel should've been treated better and that either this should've went all the way (to death or fire the would must fall) or like, not at all happened

Inconveniences (Miraculous One-Shot)
Leo was having a very confusing day.
Nothing seemed to be going right, but nothing was going wrong either, so today had been a day of up and downs, just the smallest of bumps on the roller coaster called life; one of those tiny bumps having just resulted in him spilling his water all over his shirt.
He frowned, glad that he hadn't ordered something like coffee, but still he was soaking wet. It was cold, uncomfortable, but the most he could manage was a sigh.
And that was why he was very confused to see an akuma butterfly flying right towards him.
He could only stare, the akuma merging with the water bottle, a presence filling his mind. He stared at his water bottle, suddenly feeling very tired.
"I don't want to be akumatized, M. Moth, today has been exhausting as it is," Leo said.
"Exactly, you're perfect," Hawk Moth said, swiftly. "So, Inconvenience, I give you the power to make everyone's day as inconvenient as possible. Especially Ladybug– you should find her on the rooftops not far from here. Leave Chat Noir alone though."
"...What?" Leo asked in pure confusion. "Don't you want me to get their Miraculouses?"
"No, we have a truce, no getting each other's Miraculouses during school and work hours. Or at night. Or when we're not transformed. There's no rules about me not sending akumas though, so go my lovely creation, and annoy Ladybug!"
"...Fine," Leo muttered, dark energy washing over him. "I don't have the energy to say no."
Soon Inconvenience stood in the place of Leo. The akuma's water bottle was now a staff, and with the magic flowing through his body he could now leap up into the air, easily landing on the rooftops. Those down below were now scattering at the presence of an akuma, and he pointed his staff at them, shooting a few beams of energy. Someone tripped, their shoes now untied; another adjusted their shirt, which was now a size too small; another dropped all their papers, rushing to go gather them. All now inflicted with something inconvenient with his powers.
"Find Ladybug, hurry!" Hawk Moth insisted, and so Inconvenience started bounding across the rooftops, searching for Ladybug. It wasn't long before he saw a red figure, a look of rage on her face, and that's when Inconvenience realized that fighting a hero wouldn't be convenient for him.
"Hawk Moth!" Ladybug bellowed, storming towards the akuma. "What part of no akumas during work hours don't you understand?!"
Hawk Moth was laughing telepathically. "Zap her with your powers, then say you're not after the Miraculous so you're not breaking the rules."
Inconvenience didn't hesitate with zapping her, hoping to slow the hero hurrying towards him, and immediately the yoyo Ladybug had been swinging got tangled up, and Ladybug cursed.
"Um," Inconvenience said. "I'm not after your Miraculous? So no rules are being broken or something? Also I'm not suppose to go after Chat Noir for some reason."
"Of course he'd do this," Ladybug muttered, and she raised her voice again. "I think not coming after me with an akuma was strongly implied with our truce!"
"Tell her that if she's using her powers on work time I get to use mine," Hawk Moth said, sounding very giddy. "Also this is to get back for all the work she left on my desk."
Inconvenience hated this. It was like being on a phone with someone and then someone else kept passing you messages to tell to the one you were talking to, making you be the middle man when it would be so much easier to hand the phone over so they could talk to them themselves, except for he didn't know how to do that with magical telepathy– but he tried to shorten it the best he could.
"Hawk Moth is trying to get back at you," Inconvenience explained. "Something about you leaving a bunch of work on his desk and you using your powers?"
"Well I'm not Mayura, ready to do a bunch of extra work that wasn't in my job description!" Ladybug snapped. "Maybe you should actually start running your own company instead of passing everything onto someone else!"
"Tell her I didn't give her permission to leave during work hours."
"Tell Hawk-Face that pestering me with akumas will just make it take me longer to get my work done!"
"She forgot to turn in a report yesterday. Tell her that was important."
"Tell him that he can just come out of his office and talk to me if he had something to say!"
"Okay– enough!" Inconvenience screamed, covering his head. "I have no idea what's going on here– but it sounds like you two... know each other? Yet you haven't defeated each other? And apparently Ladybug works for you, Hawk Moth? What on earth is going on!"
A dark figure landed on the roof, Chat Noir leaning against his baton. "Sorry I'm late." He glanced at the akuma. "Hey, Dad, didn't we say no akumas during work hours?"
Dad? Dad?!
"Okay, that's it, I'm out," Inconvenience said, picking up his staff and holding it over his head. "I dunno what's going on, but you guys need some workplace communication." He glanced at Chat Noir. "And family therapy, apparently, but I ain't your middle man."
With that Inconvenience snapped the staff over his head, releasing the butterfly, and dark energy ran across him, turning him back into Leo. The staff was a water bottle once more, now snapped in half, and his shirt was wet again, along with his head, due to the water bottle he had just broke. His memories from being akumatized were gone, leaving a very confused and soaked Leo on the roof.
"Come on..." he muttered, water dripping down his face. "As if today wasn't bad enough..."
"Well, that was easy," Chat Noir said. "Mind grabbing that butterfly, My Lady?"
"We need to amend that truce," Ladybug muttered. "No akumas during work hours..."
"Yeah," Chat Noir sighed. "Leave it to Hawky to find a loophole and use it."
Truce? What truce? Leo was tempted to ask... yet he got the feeling that he didn't want to know. So he stayed silent as Ladybug summoned her Miraculous Ladybugs, and Chat Noir offered him a ride down from the roof. He watched as the two heroes darted away, before turning to continue on his way.
Only to realize he was far away from his destination, he must have wandered while akumatized. He let out a groan of frustration. "Oh, come on..."
Today just wasn't his day.

It worked! Sorry to bug you with a message! But I'd like to request a cake now!
So, about me. I have an actual name but I don't think I've heard it in months😃, instead I have a bunch of nicknames! (Rion, ri, oreo, onion, o, etc), I'm actually nb so I chose that name, however I 100% consider naming myself Arson💀My pronouns are they/them and I'm about 5'5, I have short, fluffy brown hair that I usually dye the front blue. I'm Asian hispanic, but I really don't look like either- my favorite foods are either really spicy and salty or sweet. Not the overwhelming chemical sweet tho, like a natural sweet flavor. My personality type is infp, and ig when I first meet people I can be shy (that's an understatement, I was mute for the first week of school🕳🏃‍♂️) but once I get to know people I can be pretty chaotic (once again, arson). I'm not a 100% demon spawn though, I don't really like making scenes in public and I probably will cry if I do- but I still have fun lol. I'm also the person who copes with severe mental health issues using humor, to an alarming degree 😔 I'm the therapist friend when really I'm the one who needs therapy. I also have a social battery that can die at random times, so I really like/need friends who can handle random mood changes of me going from energetic to silent in seconds. Academically, I'm really book smart, I'm a tutor, but my grades don't reflect it. I tend to procrastinate a lot and avoid studying, usually I catch myself last minute or trust memory on tests, but every now and then there's something that tanks my grades. I'm not very athletic, but I still try to play sports. I enjoy the feeling when I do something right, but the rest of the time I usually beat myself up for messing up.
And now just random facts 😃👍
My favorite color is yellow, not the bright eye sore shade that makes you want to throw up, but the nice softer, light shade. And I like anything that comes with that color! (Sunflowers, flowy sundresses and flip flops, summer activities, burning concrete, warm rain, etc). Nobody knows my music taste, it changes weekly, however I usually come back to mitski/cavetown or summer themed songs a lot! I enjoy playing music, but I have the curse of being a fast learner so that usually leads to be being bored and learning a new instrument at any given chance. And my birthday is a weird date that fucks with zodiacs so I can be considered either a leo or cancer, my personality changes a bunch, so take your pick lol. (Though emotionally I tend to be cancerous, I just express it and show it in a way a leo would) And someday I wanna be a long term traveler, or a florist. Just a job that makes me happy :). And I guess if I had to classify my aesthetic it would be bloomcore or soft grunge. I like wearing big sweaters and if I could I would wear a bunch of butterfly clips in my hair and wear mom jeans. (I would also wear man crushers, I mean, platforms if I was confident)
Aaaannnnd that was really long sorry!
To sum up, I'm just a bipolar bitch with depression and anxiety 👍
Thanks a bunch for just taking the time to read this!

I’m getting a classic summer love vibe from this matchup 👀
Ok so I just Hc that Bokuto LOVES flowers
So he would always just go to the local flower shop to look at them
Pls hes to precious I cant-
But anyways you we’re working a summer job at the flower shop
And you grew fond of our little owl boy
You would always talk to him whenever he visited
He just made your job that much more enjoyable :)
So one day you stopped him right before he left and told him he could pick a bouquet of flowers if he wanted
He BEAMED at you and picked a bouquet of flowers he always looked at whenever he came
But what shocked you was instead of walking out with them
He gave them to you!
He then went on talking about how he really liked you but didn’t know how to tell you
At this point he was just rambling
So you laughed and asked him if he would like to go to the ocean with you after your shift
He agreed and you swear you saw stars in his eyes
After your shift you met up with Bokuto and went to the beach
You guys literally spent ALL day there!
And even some of the night 👀
Being the gentleman he is offered to walk you home
And when you two got to your house he asked you to be his s/o
What They Love About You
Ok starting off with a strange one
He loves the fact that your favorite color is yellow 💛
He just thinks it fits you so well 😊
He loves that you have to ability to turn your trauma into humor

He thinks it’s so cute
And once again he thinks it fits you 👀
He appreciates the fact that your smart

Winter - Snowball fights/Making Snowmen, Christmas movie marathons, hot cocoa/ baking, etc
Spring - Dancing in the rain, picnics, gardening etc
It’s a vibe year round with bf Bokuto
Random Hc
His favorite season is summer
And his second is winter
Ik...polar opposites
Oof
He TOTALLY gets your mood swings
Although they may not be the same as his
He still understands them and respects them
Every year on your anniversary he buys you the exact same bouquet he gave you at the flower shop
Speaking of the flower shop 👀
He got a job there with you the following summer
So you guys basically spent most of your days together
Bokuto is REALLY bad at dark humor
But for some reason he still tries 😭
It’s either TOO dark
Or not dark at all 💀
Astrology
(We’re gonna go with your cancer zodiac 😂)
When Cancer and Virgo make a love match, a strong, down-to-earth relationship with staying power is the happy result.
This is a relationship with great potential to get better and better over the passing years.
Both Cancer and Virgo are goal-oriented and disciplined.
They are sincere and devoted to one another and share a strong sense of purpose.
No lightweight love here: These two were not really built for flings!
Cancer and Virgo deeply admire one another: Virgo respects Cancer’s quiet strength and dedication while Cancer appreciates Virgo’s keen adaptability and intelligence.
These lovers may get off to a slow start, but over time, bonds will only grow stronger.
The Cancer-Virgo love match prides itself on common sense and strong principles over fluff and inconsequential or fleeting connections.
They enjoy the material comforts of life, but they will only feel good about their bounty if it has come as a result of honest hard work.
There could be tiffs if Virgo becomes too critical for Cancer’s easily bruised feelings; Cancer needs to understand that it’s just Virgo’s nature to point out what they observe, that it’s not a personal attack.
A Virgo may bristle at their Cancer mate’s stubborn streak, but it’s a trait that a patient and understanding love partner like Virgo could come to appreciate.
Also, Virgo’s urge to serve suits Cancer’s affectionate, nurturing nature well.
Their dedication to working toward the same goals.
Both partners in this love match enjoy a stable home life and nice things, and Virgo truly enjoys helping Cancer along the way to achieving their goals.
Their shared goals and desires make theirs a highly compatible love match.

Happy birthday and thank you for hosting a birthday game! My big three are Cancer Sun, Taurus Moon and Leo Rising. I'm a earth and moon dominant person. My earth energy is only dominant by just a little, all my energies are almost equally balance. I like cloud gazing, listening to music and enjoying my moments of peace from my life. I always like and drawn to the color gray whenever I go clothes shopping. My closet is mostly filled with a bunch of gray shirts and sweaters, so I tried adding some other colors to them. For the kingdom, I would like to pick the earth kingdom because it gives me a sense of balance. Thank you again~
FINALLY SOMEONE CHOOSES MY BELOVED KINGDOM.
I'm placing you right smack in the Lilac Valley. it's a beautiful, beautiful place. full of lilacs, mountain views, adorable ass goats, and a lot of history.
Most that live here are plant witches, but there are other types. those who like to hex and curse, and other wandering traders and the like. it's a very touristy destination as well, but you know the best kept secrets ;)
I think since you also have moon dom, you really connect well with plants and animals. and so I'd picture you helping out in a green house. honestly, the meadows in that valley are kind of everyones practice because they honor the legends that come from that place. -there's a large, old fortress. and legend has it, that someday the princess who once ruled it, will come home. and everyone wants her to see her favorite flowers as a welcome home gift-.
when you're not helping a tourist find their path, you're catching up with the Elven tribes that live around the valley. they take you through sacred parts of the forest and help you connect to the rather large animal spirits that linger in the forest. sometimes you'll come acorss new biomes but are sworn to secrecy.
you know you have a special place with the Elves and the Gnomes. Maybe the Giants. you wouldn't really know. the giants keep to themselves in the Rocky Hills. but it doesn't mean you don't like to scare the tourists sometimes ;)
