what if they didn’t lose their memories (chishiya centered)

a short fic of an alternate ending to alice in borderland s2 in which none of them lose their memories. it’s pretty short and chishiya-focused bcs i like chishiya and wanted him to meet kuina again

also i don’t write very much so hehe it might not be that good but whatever it was a self indulgent fun thing to make

based on the live action version of alice in borderland

Chishiya lies in his hospital bed and stares at the ceiling. After all he went through in the borderland it’s such a weird feeling to be back in the real world lying in a hospital bed. A few hours of listening to passing nurses’ conversations had passed and he had been able to piece together a few things. He hears someone coughing and groaning beside him and can't tell if he’s annoyed or okay with that person being Niragi. Chishiya turns over to Niragi who's covered in bandages from head to toe. It's a stark contrast to Chishiya who's bandaged injuries aren't visible under his garments. It was Niragi who shot him.

“What do you want?” Niragi says in an annoyed tone, as if he was telling Chishiya to fuck off for judging his bandaged state. Though both of them know they're too tired for this and Chishiya isn't in the mindset to be judging.

“Apparently, your heart stopped as well.” Chishiya replies.

Niragi lets out a soft laugh. “That's funny. I don't remember dying, though maybe I should have.”

Chishiya feels similarly. “It happened to me too. Apparently only 1 minute passed in the real world during our entire time in that place.”

“That sounds like a cruel joke.” Niragi replies. To think all of the pain and suffering for weeks had been nothing but a minute.

Chishiya understands what had happened- all the people who would have died in the meteorite strike got sent to that mysterious world to fight for their lives. Getting out means they had successfully fought the battle for their lives. It is to symbolize perseverance to live, a second chance as they stood in between the border of life and death from the real word meteorite strike. He doesn't have the energy to tell any of that to Niragi. Even though Chishiya doesn't hold any hatred towards him for shooting and almost killing him, he’s far from wanting much to do with that man. Even though he’s accepted that they're similar, they can have this conversation another day.

“Since all the games have been cleared and we made it back to the real world, did anything change with you?” Chishiya asks him.

“I'm not so sure. Well I guess I look flashier than before. What about you?” Niragi hasn't changed much. Chishiya thinks for a moment of what to say.

“Since I’ve wasted my life until now, I think I'll be able to live a more useful life from now on. That’s about it.”

“So you were a good for nothing jerk too huh?”

He’s not wrong. In the end, the two have their similarities.

“Yeah.” Chishiya says.

In a few days Chishiya is able to walk again in a limp. He gets out as soon as he is permitted to walk out the room and around the hospital by himself because he’s sick of staying in his room. He wonders where his friends are, if he can call them that. At least he knows he has one friend, Kuina.

He was about to ask the hospital staff if Kuina had by any chance been admitted to the same hospital as him, but he didn't need to. There standing in front of him in the hallway was his friend. The one he could trust and fought along his side during their time in the borderland. They had been separated for a while, but he knew Kuina was strong and would make it out alive. If he was completely honest with himself, he was worried about the chance that she did not make it, but of course she did. It made him so happy to see her alive.

“Kuina.” he says calmly with a small smile. The way he always did.

“Chishiya…” Kuina is almost in tears. She walks up to her friend quickly and stops in front of him a bit awkwardly as they are in the midst of the busy hallway filled with people from children running around to both the elderly and the young in wheelchairs.

“You know, I was looking for you. And Ann. I was worried I’d never see you again.” Kuina can't seem to hold back her tears no matter how hard she tries. Chishiya smiles as a warm feeling takes over his heart. He feels sorry for making his friend worry so much, but at the same time it feels heartwarming for someone to cry over him. He thinks he doesn’t deserve any of this, but it’s better to just let it be.

“Did you seriously think I could have died? I’m a bit disappointed.”

“If you died I would kill you myself.” Kuina snaps through her tears. It doesn’t make any sense, but Chishiya gets it. He laughs at the illogical response as Kuina wipes away her tears.

“I probably deserve that, so it's okay.” Chishiya replies, “I’ll let you do whatever you want once we’re out of this place.”

Chishiya stretches his arms out, “I got shot twice already, but I guess a punch or two from you would be-” Chishiya doesn’t even get to finish talking before Kuina’s fist arrives right in front of his face. It stops, but it’s enough to startle him. Chishiya was joking. He doesn’t actually want something like that since Kuina’s punches would knock him out cold, but he can’t take back his words.

Kuina freezes for a moment. There’s tears in her eyes again while Chishiya’s are wide open, still in a small state of shock. It brings her such a warm feeling in her heart to know that her friend is in front of her. So warm that she wanted to punch the usual laid-back look off his face, but instead, Kuina’s strong arms give in to her caring heart and she hugs him. Chishiya is still startled, this time in a different way. Despite being the master of diamond games, he couldn’t predict something like this since they're not really the type to hug. He's happy. He hugs Kuina back slowly and jokes that this is very different from a punch. It earns him a “be quiet” in response. Chishiya can't remember the last time he received a hug, perhaps it happened in a distant childhood memory, so he quietly cherishes this moment.

Finally, it truly feels like they've made it. Like they've really made it out of the borderland alive and nothing else matters other than the fact that they're both with each other. When Kuina stops, Chishiya wishes it was a bit longer and that makes him realize he's changed a lot. He’s a lot mellower now, and looking at Kuina, he doesn't hate the feeling.

“So,” Chishiya says, “We have a bit of catching up to do, don't we?”

Kuina smiles and nods in return. She sniffs and wipes her tears away again as they make their way down the hallway.

An alternative ending Alice in Borderland fic focused on Kuina and Chishiya. Major spoilers for season 2!!

Summary: Knowing death is close for both of them, Kuina and Chishiya wait for Arisu to defeat the Queen of Hearts together.

Sticking by him had been a tactic, at first. Collecting all the cards and finding a way out seemed logical. Playing along with the compound’s rules also seemed logical.

When she was about to leave with the stolen cards, she had no regrets. Well, she did not like Chishiya’s plan to use Arisu as bait but if it meant going home, she could justify it one day. Had he not told her to stop at the gate, she would have died before she even got a chance to test their theory.

She hoped to see him again, because as much as Chishiya’s mind frightened her at times, he was her first friend.

The first person to really see her.

“Aren’t we a sight?”

Kuina’s head shot up, despite her body’s immediate protest. Chishiya’s hand pressed against the nearest wall, jaw tight as he limped towards her.

“Chishiya!” Her heart sped up at the sight of blood on his shirt. There was more red than white. He couldn’t—

i really like when they adapt a series in a way that suits the new medium + provides alternate but harmonious development to the original series. adaptations don’t need to be 100% faithful to the original storyline as long as they remains faithful to the original themes and purposes

#.t #like i think my id is gangnam beauty adapts the webtoon really well #bc it creates a fuller story by developing the side characters soo much more + changing the pace of mirae’s development #without compromising the story or main themes #likes it’s a v introspective story in the sense that so much of it is focused on her internal dialogue #but they did a great job of externalizing that + adapting it for the format of a drama #there are things i like more about the webtoon but overall i prefer the drama tbh #vs sweet home + alice in borderland #where they make the central conflict the action to the point of neglecting #the main themes + characterization #sweet home obv takes an extreme turn away from the source material #but it gets v messy + confused at that point #like the writers didn’t really know what they wanted to portray…#but i think there are soo many ways they could have changed the story + elevated it instead #with AIB i think the show + especially the ending falls flat bc they stuck to the main plot points #without really weaving in the theme of ‘what’s the purpose of life’#with so much of the introspections and character dev cut out #i think it would have made more sense to have an alternate ending from the manga #bc that’s what carries the mangas conclusion #but it didn’t hold up as well……..

It's weird to think Vol 10 of RWBY just straight up might never happen. much less further volumes. No matter how bad it got I would still have loved some form of ending but Barabas comments don't paint a hopeful picture. Alas fics of RWBY will go until the end of time.

It's very weird. Most shows I come across have either already concluded, or give their audience an estimate of when things will wrap up ('We're planning another two seasons and each takes us about two years to film, so...'). I have shows that unexpectedly get more content after providing an ambiguous, but still satisfying ending (Alice in Borderland), shows where each season is self-contained so it can end whenever without issue (Bake Off), shows that were cut short and had to scramble to wrap up (Sense8), and of course there are always shows that are straight up cancelled and can't do a thing to mitigate that... but RWBY feels almost, almost unique in this combination. It's a webseries rather than a traditional TV show. It's gone on for a decade with absolutely no indication of where it's heading. Each season feels threatened to the point where the fandom can no longer differentiate between a real cancellation concern and Internet exaggeration. The story has hit what's arguably its most important narrative peak - the team has traversed an alternate world, Ruby has "overcome" drinking the tea, Summer finally appears on screen - only for news of the story's future to remain frustratingly vague. Not only have we never had a sense of when RWBY's story will end, now we don't even have confirmation of whether it will end. That's such a frustrating way to approach storytelling given that your audience relies on some level of commitment to remain engaged.

I too want RWBY to finish up because I am not immune to the Sunk Cost Fallacy: I put this much time into the series and it needs to satisfy me with a conclusion, even if the conclusion itself will inevitably be unsatisfying. Outside of any normal disappointment with a story you love getting the ax, I generally don't mind embracing unfinished works. I read abandoned fics, watch cancelled shows, browse barely started comics, because getting a taste of the world is always worth it if it's compelling to me. I never regret meeting characters whose stories go untold because as a writer myself I can at least imagine that on my own terms. But RWBY? Losing it now would be a real kick in the teeth. I personally don't think the story is salvageable at this point, but at the very least fans deserve a conclusion: one that will likely please a lot of devoted viewers and allow critical fans to put a satisfying tick mark on the box in our heads labeled "RWBY."

Given its popularity I wouldn't be surprised if RWBY wound up cancelled and then concluded in a comics run, or a one-off movie. Beyond the fact that this would no doubt mess up the writing even more (now you have to iron out this mess of a plot on a time limit, in a new medium, with new authors!) it would, unfortunately, be kind of hilarious too:

First, we have HAZBIN HOTEL and it was really a no brainer. I ship you with…

Lucifer. He’s absolutely the type to be intrigued by your reserved nature upon the first meeting and delighted when he gains enough of your trust that you feel comfortable being expressive around him. His curious nature and mind of an inventor work well with your thirst for knowledge. If you take time to look into subjects that fascinate him, he’ll be happy to talk with you for hours. Of course, he’ll look into the things that you like as well, like games or books you enjoy. To be fair, that would be the first obvious sign that he likes you. At times, especially at first, he would try very hard and worry about the way he was coming across. So he would try to think of ways to make a good impression on you and getting into your hobbies is definitely on the list. He’d also make you little gifts, mostly ducks. Kind of like a cat, dropping them off at your hands proudly but anxiously. Only, it’s less gross than a dead mouse haha. Also, any gift you decide to give him will be his biggest treasure. Every time you’re over he’ll have the trinkets from you on display. Honestly, he’s kind of embarrassed by that, maybe you think it’s weird or corny? He overthinks stuff like that a lot. Also, I think it would be a cute parallel to have you as a rule breaker (especially when you do it accidentally) and be with him of all people. Moxxie! This was a no-brainer. This man would not think twice or question his feelings because you really seem like his type. Come on, a thoughtful, protective person who also can be an absolute nightmare to your enemies? Sign him up. He wouldn’t be the most confident about you returning those feelings, but he would be sure that he’s in it deep because how could he not? He would also vibe with your interests a lot. Be it discussing books with you or playing his guitar for you (not AT you, don’t worry) to make the evening more romantic. Also, once he starts feeling less nervous around you, his words of affirmation are top-tier. He works well as a balance to your more silly and relaxed nature, but even if he’s less extroverted, you won’t ever be bored with him. In CREEPYPASTA I see you with…

Eyeless Jack! Hear me out, I think this would be silly BUT also incredibly sweet. Like, goals. First of all, he’s a flesh-eating demon but usually, he’s portrayed as a tame (at least during casual encounters) guy with not much passion for socializing. Just imagine going about your day, chatting with friends, being your extroverted self around the people you are close with (since you said it can be different when it comes to acquaintances) and his bad-omen-looking demonic presence is just standing beside you. Absolutely iconic if we’re talking ship dynamics. Also, with him being the designated doctor, he’d appreciate your caring nature, with you being the parent of the group. That could be one of the ways that help you two to grow closer - he patches people up, helping them physically, while you keep their emotions in check. Soon he finds himself feeling lonely when you’re not hanging out with him while he does his whole healer-thing. He enjoys hearing your gossip stories and in a house full of murderers, there’s always something interesting going on. On occasion he even joins in, sharing the stories about your mutual friends. Confidentiality be damned, he will tell you about why Jane gave Jeff two black eyes (it was deserved). Speaking of which, if any of the guys (let’s be honest, this is still about Jeff) decide to be difficult patients and you swoop in to unleash your more aggressive side, he only falls harder. I think you two would get each other because you both have moments of insatiable anger and also sometimes want peace and think about deeper things. He’d definitely enjoy discussing those topics with you when there’s no one around to bother either of you

HOMESTUCK was a tough one, but I settled on…

Dave. I kinda debated that for a bit but I think it fits. There would be no instant love with sparks flying, but you would definitely grow to like each other. At first, it would be somewhat difficult because you’d seem a bit distant upon the first encounter, and let’s be honest, his whole cool-guy thing doesn’t always appear very inviting. But as time goes on, you’ll spend more time chatting one-on-one. Not to mention the events of the plot would help to bring you guys together, I mean, at least you're going through your bizarre experiences together. Rose would be the first one to notice (though the rest would follow soon after) that he seems to care about you more. Every time you’d try to be the mediator, attempting to bring everybody together and be the ‘dad friend’ he’d - in his own chill way - make sure that you’re not burning yourself out. He is the Knight, after all, being protective is a part of his thing. The same goes for your anger. I mean, he kind of likes that vibe, but if you just feel like you're about to burst from frustration, he’ll certainly try to redirect your thoughts. Not afraid to talk back if you end up snapping at him, but at the same time, his aura just seems really calming? And he wouldn’t insult you for real, I just mean that the guy can hold his own. Definitely would support your art and indulge if you want him to play some games with you. Generally, based on your interests I think you would meet through John, which also means that there would be a few times when you and John team up to do some practical jokes on him. Dave acts unamused, but up to a limit, he doesn't even mind. Especially not if it’s you

And lastly for OHSHC I match you with…

Umehito Nekozawa! I feel like he would greatly appreciate your curious mind and it would complement his own pursuit of (occult) knowledge. And as a way to show you his admiration he’d give you the strangest gifts that would be nonetheless endearing. The other thing that would make him fall for you would be how caring and helpful you tend to be. For a while, he struggled to connect to his sister and I feel like you could help him with that, which would be some nice setup for a fun romance arc. With a lot of mishaps because you know how he is, some things are bound to go wrong. But in the best way possible. And his determination plus your creativity would always overcome any obstacles in that classic writing style of OHSHC. I’d totally read that! Also, he would totally love your hair and would ask you to dye his if you know how to do that. Honestly, he would let you even if you lacked experience. Another thing that seems kind of small but works well for this ship is your love for rainy weather. He’s open to dates, though a little nervous, and your preference would make him feel less bad about his aversion to the sun. I mean, if you don’t mind the dark gloomy skies, either way, he can work with that to organize some nice, atmospheric dates for you two. And if you were ever interested in borrowing his clothes for some of your more edgy outfits, he’d be down for it. Nervous as can be (especially at the beginning of the relationship) but still happy to share his clothes with you. Also! He would be so into playing tabletop RPGs with you. As i did for Squid Game, I am going to write down my thoughts about Alice in Borderland and its ending, which I thought was lovely and satisfying, despite my initial impressions.

1. Firstly are the parallels I picked up on*, given the title and character names:

Arisu: Alice

Usagi: White Rabbit (I’m late, I’m late)

Chishiya: The Cheshire Cat

(Danma) Hatter: The Mad Hatter (and the Beach is his teaparty)

Mira: The Queen of Hearts

Kuina: The Caterpillar*

Ann: The Duchess**

*I did not note this one personally, but looked into it and it made sense, given Kuina’s bent for smoking and the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly

**Also didn’t pick up on this one, (and the connection is less obvious to me) but it’s rumoured along with several more about Arisu’s close friends Chota, Karube, and others.

2. Secondly is the unfolding of the plot:

So Season 2 was much anticipated, and was an interesting change of pace from Season 1. We’ve figured out the mechanics of the game now, the ins and outs of visas, game rules, what the suits mean, and the practicalities of the world. The focus shifted more to understanding how the world came about, who rules it, and most importantly, how to leave.

I loved the ability of the show to keep a steady pace that alternated between the mind-bending, sadistic games that still gripped in both conception and visuals (death by sulfuric acid was terrifyinnggggg I couldn’t watch it) and the middle bits, the exploration of character arcs like the romance between Arisu and Usagi, Ann’s exploration of the physical world, or the persistent questioning about the meaning of life.

3. Lastly was the ending.

I must say I initially didn’t like it. I fully appreciated the nod that was given to the most plausible theories at the beginning of the last episode: Is this time travel? Is this some sort of deep brain simulation? IS IT ALIENS??!?! This part of the Episode 8 conversation with Mira showed that the showmakers (author even?), knew that the audience’s mind had been asking these questions almost since the Moment Arisu arrived in Borderland.

Compared to all of these theories though, saying it was a rogue meteor strike was... a let down. BUT. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it could’ve been anything, tbh, that caused them to be transported, because the point is that ANY near-death experience can take you to Borderland, the space between life and death. And it brings to front and center the conversations that each person had been having thus far about the meaning of life. The hypothesis is that when the body is fighting to survive an accident of some sort in the real world, the mind is also doing a sort of ‘Systems Check’, trying to search for a reason to keep going, a purpose for which to exist. And Borderland provides a place for such a battle to take place, a limbo of sorts where people are forced to remember how precious life is and why it needs to be fought for- enough that they get shaken out of their stupor and wake up.

Of course, this is not a perfect solution. Did Chota and Karube die in Borderland because they didn’t think life was precious enough? (No.) And what happens to the physical bodies of those who choose to become citizens? (They die, eventually. Time works differently in Borderland, but even Game Runners don’t appear to live forever.) I don’t purport to have every answer. I just mean that... by all accounts, /everyone/ affected by the meteor could’ve died. (It was a meteor, which a huge explosion!) But Borderland took the consciousness? souls? of the dead people there and provided a way for /some/ of them to live.

If you look at it that way, Borderland, despite the random death games and constant terror, actually /reduces/ the number of people who die from a mass-casualty event, and, makes sure that, of those that come back to life, most of them are determined to live life to the fullest when they get back.

ALSO, in the Netflix version, we see that the last shot is of a player with a Joker card. This is expanded on a bit more in the manga, but basically he’s some sort of limbo-esque character, giving credence to the idea that Borderland is a last-chance type of world, where, if you fight hard enough, and convince enough people to try with you, and hold on to hope long enough, you can earn one last chance to be returned back to the real world and live.

TLDR; Alice in Borderland Season 2 did not pull any punches with the games, which were as visceral and heart-pounding as ever. I personally enjoyed discussing extensively with my watch-mate about how we would approach each game, and loved seeing the details of the Alice in Wonderland characters woven into the narrative so well. The ending was at first disappointing, but the more I thought about what the Borderland represented, the more appropriate the ambiguity became, and eventually I could accept Borderland for what it is: a train station between the real world and the afterlife, where people fight for the opportunity to go board the train back to the real world and live.

TV media consumers have immense power over the success of a show. Because of how social media platforms spread information, discussions about a specific show or episode can reach thousands of people who share similar ideas. The article on Squid Games talks about the concept of social media echo chambers, which "amplify selective ideas and agendas with a view to promote and propagate information through a variety of network structures" (Ahmed 224). When a show sparks an audience reaction, online discussions can reach people all over the world who share the same sentiment, simply because of the algorithm most platforms use. In the past, this might only happen around the "water cooler". But now, both "polarized and shared beliefs can complement each other in enhancing the social propagation of marketing messages, reinforcing their reach and visibility to wider audiences" (Ahmed 225). The episode of Alice in Borderland was extremely intense and emotional with a very unexpected ending. The narrative of the game and the interactions between the characters suggested that either they would find an alternate way to survive, or it would end brutally with friends turned against each other. As the timer reached closer to zero, we saw Arisu hiding and accepting that he would sacrifice his life to save his friends. The slower pacing and somber music anticipated that this is how it would play out. The unexpected ending draws in viewers and unites them in the shared disbelief and sometimes hatred towards the show. Immediately, fans can go on Twitter and find solace among the other fans of the show. By eliciting such heightened emotional responses from narrative choices, things like this and Hunger Games can utilize the "echo chamber" phenomenon of social media to spark virality and build a dedicated fanbase.

As someone who enjoys both bungou stray dogs and the Alice in borderland TV show (I've never read the manga for either) I'd kinda love to see how the BSD characters would tackle being in Borderland. Maybe they have their abilities, maybe they don't, it's not like all the games can be solved just using physical strength or brute force though. I don't think any of them are necessarily dumb, and, depending on who's in the game, teamwork shouldn't really be an issue. But games about trust? I think that could be interesting. Maybe if they're are other mafia people or detective agency members (depending on which characters are in the game) trust could be established but if they're all separated and end up with a bunch of random strangers, how would they navigate it. Some of them might be bale to pull a Chishaya. Ranpo and Dazai could probably find out an alternative, and others probably could too this is just the first people in my mind, but others, who maybe don't have the deduction abilities or intelligence to read people and situations as well? Who would survive? Also I wouldn't be against seeing them interact with BSD characters. Would Dazai be able to keep his promise to Oda or would he fall back to the dark? How would Ranpo do? If their abilities were taken or suppressed to make the games more fair, how would this affect them and change things? Who would be friends? Who would be enemies? Would any of them kind of enjoy it there and not want to leave? I just feel like this could be fun.

so. alice in borderland season 2. i have a lot of thoughts. spoilers ahead, obviously.

so to start off, i’m coming from the perspective of someone who read the second half of the manga and a few extra bits - so i know i am missing some of the characterization, but not all of the characterization. that said, while i like the inclusion of new games unique to the show, i’m not really wild about them cutting dodo’s inclusion in the plot to make it work - i think the dodo-heya-agni storyline serves a bit more than throwing arisu briefly in dodo’s spot (though i do love that they just fucking yeeted arisu off a cliff, that was fun lmao). but yeah, they showed heya’s seven of spades game, they could just have easily shown dodo in four of hearts.

or even better yet? give us a second season that’s starts in with the first few episodes being introductions to the newer characters and how they ended up in the borderland: give heya the full episode to be introduced in seven of spades, an episode for dodo to show off four of hearts, maybe let chishiya play six of diamonds and do his backstory there, and then start into the festivities for four episodes. Then, for funsies, since saori’s already dead and we don’t need to do much with her character, let banda do two of hearts in saori’s place, and then end season 2 with banda walking up the stairs to the penitentiary, so they have more basis to alternate narrators (or just pull chishiya out entirely as it is in the manga) for jack of hearts. why am i so insistent on taking more time instead of less? BECAUSE GOD DAMN THAT KUINA-ANN MONTAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST TWO EPISODES OF “KICKASS LESBIANS: THE SERIES (ALSO ARISU IS SOMETIMES IN THE BACKGROUND)” seriously they put so much into such a short time that i WISH they would have let their relationship flourish more meaningfully, and explain the games they played together a bit - even if they’re original games, it’s fun to see more happening and more thought put into the universe!

with those thoughts out of the way - there were some absolute fucking knockout games this time. the fact that they got fucking YAMAPI to be kyuma literally dropped my jaw in disbelief, and he did a fantastic job carrying it. king of diamonds was similarly absolutely fucking NAILED in the emotion of the performance - two very logical and calculating characters having subdued, but incredibly emotional moments as they play the game. queen of hearts? chills down my spine - it’s such a hard game to translate from the manga, but the choices they made really were fantastic. also mira is gaslight gatekeep girlboss and i love that for her. jack of hearts was an interesting choice to bring in chishiya, but i think it was smart to keep a character involved to keep us interested in the action based on the cast we already know and love.

king of spades sort of fell in the middle for me. as referenced for the entire first half of the post here i’m not really happy that they excluded dodo, but man they handled the rest of the main crew so well through the finale of it. not only allowing his inclusion be a believable driver for a lot of the relationships (kuina and ann, heya and agni,) showing off just *how much* power shirabi has - the fact that a 5 v 1 confrontation ends with 1 dead and 4 wounded, and even a concentrated explosion leaves him still clinging to life. but for all the work they put into showing how strong he is, it felt like they rushed through his backstory too quickly, and his death doesn’t feel as impactful as the manga.

speaking of rushed through! queen of spades. i know this was a show original but damn they really just sorta. rushed in a whole bunch of plot that didn’t really make sense, then threw us into the game, gave us the rousing speech, and then fun cool shot of risa getting nailed midair by the laser. i think with more time for the plot setup this would have been more meaningful, but i already belabored that above as well.

overall? solid fucking season despite my qualms, and i'm hoping we get a prequel/retry/border road series in the future, cause damn the joker on the table ain’t quite the same as joker in the manga lmao

Yep, a photo of your ID with just your date of birth visible.

HOW WILL YOU PAY?

I accept payment through: PayPal, Stripe, Ko-fi, and Skrill.

Once I’m clear on what you’d like to have written and accept your commission, I’ll send you an invoice through whatever payment platform we agreed on.

You will not be required to submit payment until after we’ve discussed and agreed on the length and content of your commission.

All commissions are non-refundable once payment has been received.

WHAT TURNAROUND CAN YOU EXPECT?

After we’ve hashed out all the core details of what you want to commission and I’ve accepted your commission and received payment from you – I will aim to produce your story within about 30 days. Please note that larger bodies of work, such as 10k-35k, can take up to 2 months.

CAN YOU SEE THE STORY BEFORE IT’S FINALISED?

Yes! Once I’ve deemed the commissioned story more or less complete, I will send it for your approval. At this stage you can request minor edits and I will do my best to accommodate them within reasonable limits.

Then, once you give me the green light, I will finalise your commission and send you the final version via email.

I will also post it on my AO3, unless you specifically ask me not to. I will also credit your username for commissioning me for this piece, or I can also not mention your username at all if you don’t want me to. In the latter case, I will say that it’s an anonymous commission.

DO I AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPT ALL COMMISSIONS?

I’d love to but unfortunately, I can’t. Time restraints, the number of projects I have going on, and simply my ability to write a certain prompt will all affect whether I can accept your commission or not. Therefore I retain the right to decline commission prompts. But, of course, if I told you I’ve accepted it and received payment from you, I will bring your idea to life!

IP and MORAL RIGHTS
