I noticed that you opened the requests. I wanted to ask related to staff (separated) with mc/yuu who had daddy issues in their world and who sees them as a father figure
i love this sm,,,, TY<3
Tumblr media
dire crowley
he is…. interesting- he does mean well but he just does a poor job executing that sometimes. he was never expecting to feel such a sense of protectiveness and being overly doting to you. it started when he couldn't help but feel pity for your own situation and watching you adjust to this world is tough.
you’ll find him randomly popping up out of nowhere in school and he’ll ask how you’re doing. a way as a check up on how you’re handling this world and school life so far, he’d tell you if you ask him. as soon as you ask him about home… "oh! is someone is calling me?" and just literally disappears.
In this case, I feel like his reluctance to figure out a way to bring you home stems from the fact that he really does care for you and doesn't want to lose that. so, let's just say, it'll take him awhile to figure that out. crowley seems to be trying to convince you how amazing, twisted wonderland really is! you could thrive and live so happily here! (minus the overblots… terrifying magic… creatures and more) he tells you how great it is for you already have a home, a whole dorm for yourself, as he’d say: “for i am so gracious!” that he’s done such a generous thing for you.
the first time you tried to give him a hug as thanks for something he was completely confused and didn't know how to react. he laughed and gave you the awkward pat on the back but once again, he means well i promise.
divus crewel
you have blatant favoritism from him… he seems a little less strict with you and if a student asks he’ll deny and tell them he doesn't do that or that he has to be since you’re not even from this world. he wouldn't expect you to know how to do certain things after all.
but still, ace and grim could groan because they got in trouble for forgetting homework or assignments but if you did he’d sigh and be like “bring it in tomorrow” and they are always so UPSET. it's also rare to get some compliments from him, but he seems to point out something well you did and give you a little “good improvement” and such. It's so obvious how he seems to care for you.
divus is literally the epitome of judgment when it comes to anyone having eyes for you or you tell him about even liking someone yourself… he is too protective and feels like any boy at this school is undeserving of you. he sees any attempt during class of one of them flirting or anything as them simply bothering you. If you mention someone like floyd he’d give you the most concerned look and be like “oh… him, how troublesome”. he doesn't really say what he thinks, unless you really ask for his opinion. he more so listens to you talk and he does genuinely try to give you some advice, even if it's a bit blunt.
mozus trein
now despite his strict and sternness, he can be a very calming person to be around and talk to. he will be pretty quiet, but he can become someone you just find if you need to talk as he listens and grades assignments, doing some work. if you really need to take your mind of certain worries and stresses, like finding a way back to your world- he'll offer you some tea and maybe even offer to play a game of chess with you (as he does with divus sometimes!)
trein is a father himself, he was very close to his daughters- so it actually is quite easy for him out of all of the staff members to develop a familial like relationship with. he enjoys having that feeling of looking after someone again and being someone, you could look up to in that sense. he would eventually notice that you do see him in such a way, he wouldn't say it, but it does warm his heart.
he'll let you play and pet lucius, it's just part of your special privileges. surprisingly, the cat likes you and always tries rubbing against you. since trein trusts you though, you will be given the duty to buy lucius cat toys from sams shop with money he gives you, he says its "in compensation" haha.
if you happen to be causing trouble with grim or some student in class, he'll scold you. but through it, he will remind and tell you he knows you're a good kid and doesn't want other bothersome students tarnishing your potential.
ashton vargas
oh poor you if you dread fitness or sports because he's always booming so loud, excited and pumped to get you involved more. even if you don't want to do something with others, he loves initiating one on one games with you and challenging you. he will not go easy though and laughs proudly whenever he wins. he'll still pat you on the back and tell you "nice job, kid!" or something of that sort. he's very supportive even if hes overly competitive at times.
sometimes you do have to hear his tangents on how he became so fit and strong... especially his "advice" on how great it is to consume raw eggs... this guy . he tries telling you it'd benefit you.
lowkey makes a big deal if you got hurt and needed to go to the infirmary. he always tries to keep a special eye on you in case and tries his absolute best to make sure you're alright. even after getting help, you needed from the nurse, still!!
sam
he tends to keep a watchful eye on you... he would much prefer and even offer, saying you'd be perfect to be working beside him at his shop. he wouldn't want you resorting or going somewhere like the mostro lounge really. but other than that, he is a very carefree guy who you could easily find yourself talking to about problems or issues you're having. his attitude and approach to things can be a good help.
also, if you're in general in need of something from his store, because you're extra special to him he'll sometimes just give you heavily discounted or even be like take it, ("it wasn't selling anyways"). hehe. he cares. especially when it comes to like snacks or food he'll have, he'll claim it's your "employee benefits!" if you're working there.
sam is pretty much in the loop with anything interesting happening at school or things he may have overheard from students. you can easily get gossip out of him, just saying. but sometimes that just turns him into trying to discreetly warn you about certain students at nrc.

Character analysis on Prince Sidon (BOTW vs TOTK)
One thing I love about totk is how the game addresses Sidon’s trauma.
In botw you see how desperate he is for his father’s approval, it’s like Mipha set an impossible standard for dying not only for her domain and her people but for the whole kingdom of Hyrule. In their father’s eyes, she’s the perfect child, not only in personality but also in the way she’s honoured her family. Sidon sees how his father thinks of her, and although the king doesn’t do it consciously, he always put her on an impossibly high pedestal, and Sidon grew up believing that he HAD to meet that expectation, and that he would never, no matter how hard he tried.
When Link tames Vah Ruta and they both go to see the king, he tells his son:
“As your father, I am proud of you for fighting the Divine Beast alongside Link. You have grown much recently. I know you will be a worthy heir when your time comes.”
Then Sidon bows his head, as if he’s overcome with emotions because his dad tells him he’s proud of what he’s accomplished. King Dorephan isn’t a bad guy, don’t get me wrong, but the grief of losing his daughter (in this case, he thought she went missing and had been in the DB for 100 years, he didn’t know she died) made him sort of lose sight of Sidon’s achievements in those 100 years because he was so racked with worry and guilt. So although the king isn’t a bad father, he fails to reassure his son that he doesn’t need to do anything to make him proud (even though Sidon had definitely done stuff to make his dad proud over the years).
(Btw im pretty sure tripple digits in age is considered teens or early adulthood for Zora, so he’s still pretty young, I imagine around Link’s age if he were Hylian)
But that’s about all we get in botw.
So now we move on to totk. And oh boy do we get a load of Sidon angst. Some people might disagree with me but having read between the lines of what Lady Yona talked about (and just WHAT she actually said) in the first half of the water temple quest (before we find it, when we’re up in Mipha court), it really is angsty.
She’s aware of the fact that his sister’s death affected him a lot and still does despite knowing that her spirit moved on, and it (at this point) has started to affect their relationship.
Yona and Sidon have a disagreement before/after the battle with the Sludge Like, where they argue about him going with Link to this pillar of light that has suddenly appeared. It starts with Sidon saying: “Lady Yona! It is far too dangerous for you to be here” in reference to the sludge, but she has none of that.
She tells him that she wants him to go to the pillar with Link, and that: “For a long time, I have been concerned that you are holding yourself back and not acting as freely as I would have expected.” This has some credit because it’s mentioned somewhere how they were both childhood friends, and the Zora live long lives so it’s safe to assume their childhood is prolonged, which means that they’ve known each other for a very long time. Yona knows how he acts and behaves, his mannerisms and his fears, and that’s why she wants to push him to face them.
She tells him that if he goes with Link they’ll be able to overcome this problem, but he hesitates. She notices, asking him what is troubling him, and he hesitates again to speak what’s on his mind. This is when the Sludge Like comes in, and after the battle, the conversation continues.
Sidon hurries back to Yona and says: “Thank goodness. Lady Yona, if something had happened to you... I...” and there’s where it becomes clear just how terrified he is of losing her. He doesn’t finish the sentence, though, he changes the subject and tells her that she should go back to the domain in case more monsters show up. She tells him that he should focus on what Link said and that he can leave the court to them (Yona and the others that came with her). Sidon replies with: “W-well... Of course it would be best for me to accompany him. However, I cannot leave you alone in this dangerous place!” He’s ignoring what’s best and instead focusing on the safety of his betrothed, because of course he would! A monster just showed up and it took both Link and Sidon to take it down, imagine if neither of them were with her, what would happen? What would he do if she got hurt? And then the following dialogue happens (you dont need to read the whole thing, you can just skip to the bold parts):
Yona: “Did you not entrust this task to us already? We will not be on our own for long. We shall be just fine.”
Sidon: “But…”
Yona: “Sidon, my darling... I truly appreciate that you worry so for my safety. It speaks to the kindness in your heart.
But you are the prince of the Zora. One day, you will lead the people of your beloved domain.
I can see right through you, whether you want me to or not. You are yielding to the fear of losing someone you love again.
You must overcome your past and face whatever the future holds with courage.”
Sidon: “But... I...”
Yona: “Enough is enough! You are not acting like yourself! You must leave this place to me!
Sweet Sidon... Do not get lost in the past. You must keep moving ever onward. Just follow your heart, as you always do!”
Sidon: “Like my old self... Like I always do...”
Yona: “It is all right. I swear it. I am not going anywhere.”
Sidon: “I see... And there it is, clear as day... I was giving in to my fear of once more losing someone I love... I… I…
You are right, Yona! I will not give in to this fear! Nor forsake my trust in you! I leave this place to you, my love.”
[skip]
Yona: “All this time he was clinging to regret over being unable to save his precious sister, Mipha... My poor, tormented Sidon.
And to think he was unknowingly paralyzed from taking action because he feared losing me as well...
Yet he has overcome this trial and placed his faith in me. At last, the Sidon I know and love has come back to me.”
During this conversation, Sidon hesitates more than once and you can see it starting to irritate Yona because she knows the potential he doesn’t see in himself, because it’s not just fear of losing a loved one, but it’s his own insecurity from not being able to save Mipha.
He doesn’t care that he was very young and wouldn’t have been able to anyway, he just cares that he couldn’t. In his eyes, he failed to save his sister. And I’m not going to go too deep into this point but it’s clear that she was playing both older sister and mother, because we can assume their mother died a while back (she’s never mentioned and it’s just the two of them and their father even as far back as age of calamity if you want to include that).
What I’m saying is that with technically both the loss of his mother and his sister, it’s safe to assume that he feels some sort of responsibility for not being able to help, even if he was too young to do so, his disregard for the age he was at the time shows how much weight was left on his shoulders after Mipha died.
He never expected to be the heir to the throne, the sole survivor of his family (along with his dad), sure he’s a prince and princes have responsibility, but Mipha was always going to be in the spotlight (not that I’d imagine him jealous of this, it’s simply just a fact, and I think he might have actually even been comfortable with that), she was always going to be the Zora Champion and then Queen one day, so to have all of that suddenly dumped on him after the calamity as a literal kid would’ve undoubtedly had its effect on him.
Yona understands this, she tells Link, knowing he’s probably caught on, how he was “clinging to regret over being unable to save his precious sister, Mipha...”.
She has to reassure her love that she’s okay. “It is all right. I swear it. I am not going anywhere.”, she comforts him because she knows he needs it, he needs her to say it to him because that’s the only way he will believe she is in fact okay.
But his character develops. Sidon realises that in fearing for Yona, he has made her feel as if she isn’t trusted. He recognises the position he’s put them both in, him worrying relentlessly and stressing out about his loved ones because of his trauma, and her having to watch him fall down this never ending rabbit hole and being unable to do much about it because all he tries to do is shelter and protect her, even when it’s unnecessary.
But she does what she can anyway, and it pays off, because he comes back to reality and understands that although there will always be the risk of losing her, he knows that she is more than capable of taking care of herself. He knows of her strength, it was just hard for him to see the situation from her point of view. But she pushes him to do so, and he betters himself for her.
I think he’ll always have some small hint of this trauma response hidden away, but after this discussion, he’s got a firm hold on it, and is willing to control his fears for the love of his life so that they can start to build a life together without the sense of utter doom and despair over his past looming over them both.
I’m glad the writers did this, and didn’t just make them seem like this perfect couple with no issues, it shows a real and healthy relationship, and it shows that Sidon isn’t this perfect person and that he indeed has faults of his own.
That’s my take on it, anyway.

Aemond has now arranged for two guards to stand at your door.
Ser Erryk had to face a sharp interrogation by Aemond the next morning. But after threatening several times to lead him straight to Vhagar for his incompetence, you intervened. You believe Ser Erryk to have stepped away from your door for only a moment. It is not his fault and it would be wrong to punish him for something he could not have foreseen. And so Aemond consented and allowed Ser Erryk to live on. Now Ser Erryk guards your door with another guard. After Aemond has settled this, he sets off to tell Aegon and his mother in detail about the incident. Last night he did not feel able to leave you alone and face this conversation.
Aemond looks at Aegon, aghast. Alicent does not dare to breathe. She has clasped her hands together in front of her mouth. Her two sons face each other, but what she can read in one face convinces her that it will not end well.
"I beg your pardon?" escapes Aemond.
"Yes, brother. What do you expect? You kill their son, you should expect them to come for your child."
Anger surges through Aemond. He clenches his hands into fists.
"To give a child's life for being king? That's not too much to ask. You like to hump, don't you? Just make another child."
Alicent inhales sharply.
Aemond walks menacingly towards Aegon. His hand is on his sword. Aegon backs away a few steps.
Aemond emphasises every word with hatred, "Be careful what you say... Brother."
Aegon looks at Aemond in shock as Alicent intervenes, "Aemond! That's your brother! Your family!"
Aemond now turns his hateful gaze towards his mother, "Y/n is my family! Alyssa is my family! And I will not allow them to be affronted or put in danger by him!"
Alicent doesn't dare say anything else.
Aemond leaves without another word. He goes straight to your chambers.
You sit with Alyssa in your chambers. You hang on to your thoughts as you hold for Alyssa her wooden dragon. You let it float through the air in front of her and she tries to catch it. But again and again your thoughts return to the one. You cannot imagine that your father would have your daughter killed. He would never have such a thing ordered. Aemond is right, Daemon loves his granddaughter. There is something wrong.
You are jolted out of your thoughts when Aemond bursts into your chamber. You look at him, startled, but he only looks at you silently. His eyes are wide with rage. Alyssa screams with joy when she sees her father.
"What's wrong...?" you whisper.
"We're leaving."
Silence reigns in your chambers. Your eyes grow wide, "What? Where? What's going on Aemond?"
"We are going to Dragonstone. We should have gone from the beginning when all this madness started. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you."
You are speechless, you just look at him.
Eventually, a "What...? Aemond, do you actually know what you are saying?" you look at him worriedly.
Aemond strides through the room, "I can't take it anymore," his hands clench into fists, "Aegon is unrepresentable. I can't do it any more. He is incapable as a king. He would be the death of us all!"
He turns in your direction, "He would kill my... our daughter."
Your hand automatically tightens around Alyssa.
"We're leaving," he has made up his mind.
"When do you want to go?" you finally ask.
"Tonight. We have to leave as soon as possible. We will leave when the others are in the hall for dinner. I will let them know that we want to be undisturbed in our chambers."
You look at him, "You really want to do this...?"
He nods, " Nothing that could happen to me there would be worse than the role I fulfil here."
Startled, you take a breath. You stand up and walk over to him, "Nothing will happen to you there. I won't let that happen."
He smiles slightly.
"Aemond. I mean it. Or we can go somewhere else. Let's leave this madness behind. We'll go where it doesn't matter what family you belong to."
He looks at you again and just nods. Slowly he lets his lips slide onto yours and kisses you.
You pack only your most important things. New clothes you can get and new jewellery can be forged. In the evening you sit on your sofa. You wait for your food to be brought. You are nervous. Alyssa sits on your lap and you fiddle incessantly with her little dress. Aemond puts his hand on your knee at one point, "It will be alright," he whispers softly to you. You just nod.
After dinner has been brought to your chambers and the servants have left your chambers, you take your things.
You tie Alyssa tightly to your chest. Aemond takes her dragon egg. You hesitate briefly as you are about to leave your chambers. For the last time, for an uncertain time, you will leave these chambers. Will you leave your home. You will return to Dragonstone. The home of your ancestors. With Aemond by your side, of course, but it still feels strange. Aemond notices your hesitation and comes towards you. He puts his arm around your waist and kisses you gently on the forehead. You have tears in your eyes.
"We'll be back," he whispers in your ear. You just nod.
Aemond leads you out of your chambers. You see no one in the corridors. Everything seems quiet, not even soft conversations can be heard. You feel uneasy. This silence leaves you with a strange feeling.
As you turn a corner, a guard speaks to you from behind.
"Prince Aemond. Princess y/n. King Aegon sends for you."
You stop and look at Aemond, startled, as he turns backwards and addresses the guard. Your arm around Alyssa immediately holds her tighter against you. You also turn slightly in the direction of the guard.
"What does my brother wish?" retorts Aemond dryly.
"He wishes you to join him at dinner."
You reach for Aemond's arm. Aemond is not impressed by his brother's order, nor does he seem to have noticed that you are clinging to him anxiously.
"And I have told my brother that we do not wish to be disturbed."
The guard tries to sound assured, but you hear what uncertainty there is in his voice, "King Aegon also informed us not to accept that statement"
Another guard comes into the corridor.
You whisper a, "Aemond...?"
He looks at you, "Go straight to the Dragonpit. I'll be right behind you"
Tears well up in your eyes, "No.. Aemond no", you shake your head in despair, "I can't go without you. Aemond... there are two of them. Please come with me."
He strokes your cheek briefly, "You should be starting to have more faith in me than when I tried to claim Vhagar..." you just keep shaking your head, a tear runs down your cheek, "...if anything seems strange, you fly off. I'll find you." He looks deeply into your eyes again. He sees the worry in your eyes, "Like the night I claimed Vhagar, when I promised you that I would return and wed you... I promise you that I will find you"
An "Aemond..." passes your lips and you try to reach for his hand, but he is determinedly walking towards the guards, who have not dared to take another step towards you. He draws his sword and the guards do the same, though they don't look as if they know what they are doing.
"Y/n, I don't hear you running," you hear Aemond say calmly, before you start running in fright. Before you run around the corner, you see Aemond reach the guards with his raised sword. As you run around the corner, all you hear is the clash of swords. You just run, Alyssa strapped tightly to you. Tears stream down your face, but you try to be calm. You slow down before each corner you reach, checking to see if the corridor is empty before you start running again. Alyssa clings to you tightly and doesn't seem to want to make a sound either.
You exhale deeply as you leave the keep. By now it is dark and you make your way swiftly to the Dragonpit.
When you arrive at the pit, you immediately see Vhagar and Meraxes lying in a corner. But when they see you, they literally absorb your fear and nervousness. They sit up and scream softly. Cautiously, you walk towards Meraxes. As you stand by her side, you lean against her, exhausted. You gently stroke her scales to reassure her that all is well.
Vhagar turns her huge head towards you and looks at you almost questioningly.
"Issa mirre paktot, vhagar. Kessa sagon kesīr aderī" (It's all right Vhagar... He'll be here soon).
You want to believe it yourself. You don't know if more guards have rushed in. Whether Aemond managed to get away from there. You wait at any time for guards to storm the Dragonpit. And you would be ready to let them all go up in flames. Slowly you walk around Meraxes so that you won't be seen right away should someone enter the Dragonpit.
A while passes and Alyssa has meanwhile fallen asleep in front of your chest. Your nervousness is rising, but you cannot leave without Aemond. That is out of the question. You just know that he will come. He has to come.
As you hear someone approaching the Pit. Meraxes moves a little further in front of you. She senses your fear and wants to shield you from any danger.
You see a figure with silver hair enter the Pit. And it's the silver hair you want to see. Aemond looks around nervously for you. You come out from behind Meraxes and walk quickly towards him. When he sees you, he is visibly relieved and runs towards you. His hands are bloody and some blood splatters have also landed on his face. You look startled and he only shakes his head slightly, "I am unharmed. Come on. We have to get out of here."
You just nod.
You go back to Meraxes and climb the ladder to your place. Meraxes turns her head to you excitedly and you stroke her neck briefly. Aemond also goes over to Vhagar. He strokes her gently before climbing up to his place as well. Alyssa is still tightly laced in front of you and you are reassured that she is still asleep.
"Meraxes. Ñuha riña. Īlon jorrāelagon naejot jiōragon naejot Zaldrīzesdōron hae aderī hae possible. Sōvegon safely se rȳbagon naejot nyke. Vhagar se Aemond kessa accompany īlva" (Meraxes. My girl. We need to get to Dragonstone as soon as possible. Fly safely and obey my orders. Vhagar and Aemond will accompany us).
Meraxes snorts briefly and sits up, walking towards the exit. Aemond follows closely behind. The shadow that Vhagar casts on you from behind envelops you in complete blackness. As soon as you are outside, Meraxes and Vhagar start moving. When they have reached the right speed, they take off into the air. You lean forward, close to Meraxes. Alyssa is safely between your body and Meraxe's.
Alyssa briefly opens her eyes as she realises she is about to fly high into the air.
She looks around excitedly. You have to smile a little. Gently you kiss her head, "Now you will get to know your original home," you whisper to her.
Aemond, who usually flies next to you when you fly together, is now right behind you. He has told Vhagar to look after you and that nothing must happen to you. He didn't have to do much, she immediately took her place behind you and literally covers you with her huge body. Aemond keeps looking around, but no other dragon seems to be following you. By now the massacre must have been discovered in the passage. He managed to strike down every rushing guard before they could even think of running after you. Yet he was afraid that you would have run into the arms of other guards on the way to the Dragonpit. But the more he looks around, the more he is convinced that his brother is smart enough not to set a dragon on Vhagar. He takes a deep breath.
You look behind you from time to time, but you don't see much except Vhagar's huge body.
Alyssa has fallen asleep again, by now it is night. It only takes a few hours of travelling across the blue expanses before you recognise the high cliffs of Dragonstone in the distance. You have to smile and turn to Aemond. You hear him shouting something at Vhagar. A few wing beats later, Aemond is at your height. He nods and smiles at you.
You get closer and closer to Dragonstone and you hear the waves breaking on the cliffs in the distance.
You lean towards Meraxes a little, "Meraxes, riña, find iā ȳgha dīnagon naejot tegun" (Meraxes, girl, find a safe place to land).
Meraxes takes the task very seriously, but after a little while she lands in the middle of a hill. Vhagar lands in her immediate vicinity. Dragonstone is almost quiet up here. Here the sea seems almost calm and peaceful.
As you climb down from Meraxe's back, you can already see silver hair coming towards you in the distance. The hair literally glows in the darkness and you know immediately to whom the silver hair belongs. Tears come to your eyes as you stop in front of Meraxes. Aemond comes to your side. His arm is around your waist and he gently kisses your head.

What's It Like Dating Ghiaccio
Soft!Ghiaccio x Black!female reader
Warning(s): None? Tbh, it's just all silly fluff (maybe a bit of lewd here and there but not explicit)
Since part 5 is based in Italy, expect some Italian imagery + language lol
— Coming across Ghiaccio was pretty funny. Your father owns a cannabis shop which you and your siblings help out. Usually, you guys are never allowed in once sun goes down, but that didn't stop you from coming down to find your father.
— You went down to the basement only to see a group of men and your dad passing each other ziplock bags. "That's cocaine?" You ask, sucking on the lollipop you had as their attention went to you. Your father was stunned and quickly told you to leave. "Y/N!! What did I tell you to not come in here past -" "Father, I'm 24 years old, relax. I'm here to ask if you want pizza since we're ordering."
— Embarrassed he was indeed. You couldn't help but laugh. "Now get OUT!!" "Alright alright, no need to toot your horn." You say, swaying away in your pajamas (I found this cute) going upstairs. Little did you know that a blue haired guy was checking you out, catching the attention of his purple haired teammate. "Checking out the guy who's cooking us drugs daughter seems rather unlike you, Ghiaccio~" He seemed as if he was about to explode, he was fumbling on his words and couldn't say anything other than "Shut UP!!"
Soft!Ghiaccio can't get enough of you. He absolutely adores you. You turned him into a man he thought he'd never be. You did something to him. At one point, he thought you were some sort of stand user using your ability.
Soft!Ghiaccio lowkey loves when you put him in his place. He still has his outbursts and fits around other people, but when he acts that way around you, you quickly shut him up with a smack before pulling him into a hug. You're one person in his life that can pull himself together and talk him through those outbursts, actually listening to him. He can't help but melt.
Soft!Ghiaccio buys you whatever you want. I mean, he's in the mafia after all. You have to tell him from time to time again not to run his bank account to the dirt, but he insists. I mean, he's gifting you stuff like this, that, and the third. Sometimes, it's hard to say no.
Soft!Ghiaccio knows you two have to keep it on the DL. For sure, if your dad finds out he would be livid, if the team finds out, it'll stress him to the bone. If they see him in this submissive state around you, his image would be ruined and KNOWS they would make fun of him forever. But the thrill of getting caught can't help but make him more excited and happy to be in a relationship with you.
Soft!Ghiaccio loves cooking with you. Spending time at your small apartment with soft jazz music playing in the background while you two bond is heaven to him. Making Gnocchi, Ravioli, or Minestrone, it's honestly a better date than he could ever ask for. Especially when he gets time away from his group. Expect him to bring this along once you gave him the heads up.
Soft!Ghiaccio has a hard time showing affection or being romantic in general. You two have completely different lifestyles. He enjoys reciting love poems with you. You can see he's trying his best, which you give him a kiss for his effort. Expect him not to let you go for an hour.
— Translation: You hold me, and I will transform into wonder, in your hands, in the heat, that heat that makes the wheat grow at night. Brings the loved body as a secret life - preserved - under the thick ice of memory. You are dark like a nutshell in the fist crack between worlds. There is silence between you and me. There is pearl. I have you.
Soft!Ghiaccio after sexy time is gonna treat you like a queen. Do you need a massage? The man doesn't mind putting his hands to the test and gripping them thighs, ahahaha. Are you hungry? Don't worry, will prepare a whole meal for you despite having snacks in your drawer. A bath, even? Ghiaccio will make sure to get it ready, quick and span.
Soft!Ghiaccio would crash at your place. Always. Expect him to appear with or without notice. Cuddles. Snuggles. Nibbling on your earlobe. Feeling your soft skin against his rough hands, caressing your cheek, oh my goodness, he feels as if he could never separate himself from you (especially if you have this on) like a cat following its owner around. Spreading himself all over you.
Soft!Ghiaccio can't wait to spend the rest of his life with you. He knows that any day his life would be taken considering the career path he'd choose, Ghiaccio wants to start a family with you. He hopes that you say yes. If you worry that your body won't be able to handle it, the two of you could always adopt. The man wants to make sure you guys are set for life.

hi I really like your Alec analysis. When I think about his power the thing that sticks out to me is that, unlike Cherish + Heartbreaker his control is entirely physical. IIRC he doesn't affect the emotions of his targets at all. Do you think that says something about him/his power?
i think the roles each person's power is playing wrt behavior in an abusive household are like.
heartbreaker's power is
a direct representation of how insidious and life-ruining manipulative & abusive behavior from a parent or partner is
a direct representation of how at a certain point, an abusive parent can cause terror without even physically doing anything--the ability to sense everyone in his house and Hurt Them With His Mind is such a visceral depiction of how insidiously all-consuming an abusive parent's reign over their household is
cherie's power:
literally just a superpowered fawn reflex, a way of ensuring that she can always keep herself safe by keeping other people happy. very much the fantasy of like. it's okay if one day her ability to fawn well isn't enough because now with this power she can just Make people happy with her, instantly. (but ironically it ofc does not change that her interactions w other ppl aren't genuine and her focus on manipulating their emotions is barring her from real connection. and it doesn't even really keep her safe In the house, because heartbreaker Knows she's doing it to placate him, and would still hurt her! her only refuge is to become the daughter he wants her to be)
doing the aforementioned "becoming the daughter her dad wants her to be" to stay safe--chasing power because she associates power with safety and has no map for how to approach social relationships w/o a manipulative approach tailored to ensure her success & security
alec's power on the other hand. i think it really boils down to the fact that his core irony is that he Wants people to care about him, and he can force them to Act like they care, but he can never make them Actually Care. it's like. whereas cherie can make people care about her but can't interact w/ them under genuine circumstances (& can never actually attain safety thru manipulative control), alec has been taught to follow in his father's footsteps--to rape, to abuse, to violently take from people in the same way heartbreaker has. for a heartbroken boy, whether or not someone actually likes him is irrelevant--he is expected to take what he wants from them regardless. so it very much reflects that in his situation he can Try to fill the void by doing as his father wants and forcing other people to give him something--because the only form of connection he's allowed to have is one where he's following in heartbreaker's footsteps--but doing that will never actually give him the emotional fulfillment and genuine mutual care he wants.
this is why it's so powerful and meaningful 4 him that aisha willingly Tells him to use his power on her--rather than it being physical violence, it transforms into an act of deep understanding where he's very close to her & able to intimately grasp her feelings without trying to change them. (& being trusted to do this Means A Lot To Him.)

So... hasn’t taken me a while, before I wanted to redesign Daevas. I thought she looked rather bland and not much like the hybrid of a Queen and Devil, so instead of two heads, I’ll be giving her five total and revamping her head design so that she has two sets of split jaws on each head (which is going to be an absolute pain to draw each head).
Additionally, I’m going to give them the cobra hoods I gave to my new Ghidorah design, plus give them a sort of hierarchy of horns - the two outer most heads will have smaller, more ‘stump’ like horns, and progressing to the middle head is where they are the biggest and sharpest.
As for their limbs, I decided to revamp the inner chest limbs so that they’re bigger and more so used for stabilizing Dae, as she has a lot of front weight going on. Might make them bigger so that they’re like the outer set of limbs for better support. Her wings are being changed too to be more ragged - it bothered the hell out of me how I made the wings too streamlined, as I want to lean more heavily towards Ghidorah’s heritage than Mothra’s with this daughter. That’s pretty much it for Dae, as for the moth next to her, that’s actually a new character I’m slowly working on.
Titanus Askifro is the son of Mothra and Battra.
Askifro, I imagine, has a very posh way of speaking, almost like a Victorian style. He doesn’t enjoy short-conversations, so he’s typically advise to have something you can talk extensively about, preferably something he also enjoys - which, admittedly, isn’t a lot. He has a relatively stable relationship with both Mothra and Battra, but tends to prefer his father rather than mother.
he’s actually the older half-brother to Dae, as Mothra first landed with Battra before reaching out to Nii (there’s a whole poly relationship going on that I’ll maybe explain later). Dae never got to meet her older half-sibling, but honestly? Askifro and Dae would surprisingly get along - she understands and respects Aski’s knowledge of things, and is actually a little upset at not meeting him sooner. Something about his presence soothes her immensely, and she feels genuinely safe around him.
Aski doesn’t mind having Dae around, but finds it daunting to be the older sibling. He doesn’t have any trauma really, so it’s hard for him to exactly feel that connection with his younger sister - very much a advice rather than comfort guy too, but tbh his advice is just “kill your enemies and wear their skeletons as trophies” which Dae just responds with “please no”
very knowledgeable on kaiju biology, and is a pristine collector of their bodies if a kaiju is too pass. very careful, very precise. if its a fresh death, he’d likely eat the corpse then drag the remains elsewhere, or if it’s just the bones or a rotting corpse, he’d clean the flesh off of the bones and carve whatever he wants out of them
fucking hates Goji tbh, but keeps it veeeeeeeeeery close to himself. he’s not a big confronter, preferring to keep all of his secrets and opinions to himself rather than tell anyone, including his parents. WHICH REMINDS ME, SHIN AND ASKI
god, he didn’t expect her to be so blunt and outright rude towards him. he didn’t really find her intimidating though, just... kinda annoying. the most he’d do is just bap her on the head (Dae doesn’t do anything about it bc shes admittedly a little spooked of Aski despite the fucking power and height difference) and try to teach her proper manners, which Shin doesn’t actually need, she’s just being a dick
she does warm up to him after a while though, and so Aski watches over his little siblings with a lot of care, actually. HOWEVER, he definitely doesn’t want to get involved in Dae’s rivalry with Apoc. that’s a disaster in itself and while yes he cares for Dae, it’s her fight, he literally has no connection to them so he doesn’t care, plus he can probably get bodied if he got caught in the crossfire
random thought time, after getting to know each other, Shin grows comfortable enough to gossip to Aski about stuff with the other kaiju, and he listens, hiding the smile as he hears all the tales. OH and if they were in their human form, they’d definitely braid each other’s hair and go out to get their nails done, Aski doesn’t give a fuck
one last thing, with Aski and Dae, they have a something similar to what Goji and Mothra had - Aski sacrificing himself to give Dae power, then Dae goes absolutely ham. that is all

Show me and tell me about all you're niche oc's!!! Niche is very cool :)
hi!!!! I think you might have rebloged some of my art over on @unofficiallyhuman, so they might seem kind of familiar.
this is the Cyles Pack, an ancient pack of nichlings who have lived in the Lonely Mountain's shadow for generations, in the barren prairie. I have a bunch of them, but I've only drawn a few so far. Any weird sounding words were ones I probably made up by mashing some syllables together
Tumblr media
This is Rara! She's the maollu [leader] of the pack, and the child of a wanderer and the maollu of the hidoks [berry pickers]. She never questions who her father was, but is obsessive about her ideas of a "perfect" family. She tends to force others into things she think will be best for them, without thinking of how it affects them, but also tends to put a metaphorical get-along shirt on problems, and hates emotional confrontation, or serious conversations about her feelings. She struggles at communication in general, and used to weird others out by only talking in logical tone. Rara throws herself in harm's way for the smallest of things, and has no problem charging into a hunt or battle. Her fearlessness has gotten her in plenty of trouble before, and as she's aged and raised her children, she's grown wiser, both emotionally and strategically.
It was a huge struggle for her to accept her mate and child's death, and she just wasn't the same afterwards. Rara began putting more effort into her actual relationships and gained a few very close friends, but she also became more closed off, refusing to talk to any wanderers, and take an interest in the younger pack's lives.
Tumblr media
This is Kudon, Rara's late mate. He was very emotionally intelligent, but was easily intimidated, and a bit of a door mat. Many would have consider him a coward, but he was one of the best ornifs [fighters and big game hunters] of his time. His skill in hunting caught Rara's attention, and her skill and bravery kept him interested. Kudon often felt the need to prove himself, because despite his skill, his mate and sisters over shadowed him, which helped him connect with his daughters, such as...
Tumblr media
Lenrame. As the oldest of Rara's daughters, a lot of attention and expectations were put on her. She was supposed to be a great hunter, like her father, or firece like her mother, but when it turned out she wanted to be a hidok, she was cast aside. While Lenrame feels the need to defend her sisters, in the recent times she's been staying in the back, and sneaking around with Nodon, her partner.
In recent times, she's been even more distant from her family, and Rara's attempts at genuine connection have her freaked out, and slightly mad, which she's been taking out on others, especially Ohter.
Tumblr media
Ramimi was the second oldest. She never lived to reach her third gem, but she was close with Kudon and Lenrame, and would often follow them on their chores. Like her mother, she was incredibly reckless, and would jump in harm's way quite often. Unlike her mother, she lacked the skill to back up her heroics, and got into many fights with others, until Lenrame came and saved her, but many considered her a good child, because she was quick to help anyone out with anything and ran errands for others. Ramimi rarely had any time for herself. She was a horrible influence on her younger sister, and constantly encouraged her to get in trouble.
Tumblr media
Ohter prefers to stay in the background, quietly foraging, far away from anyone else. She strives to be as brave as her mother, and is rude and snappy towards others, and purposely annoys everyone she can. Ohter has never dealt well with grief, and the recent losses of her father and her sister have had her on edge, twice as rude as before, and very accusatory. Ohter understands strategy very well and liked to give input to the ornifs before Kudon's death, but she's now quite distant from them, and only offers advice through insults. Her aversion to social interaction has her pushing away others, and she's seen as very selfish, especially because she has an entire den to herself.
Ohter's mean spiritedness was once playful, while Ramimi was around, but has turned genuine, and she argues with Lenrame a lot. Instead of dealing with her social awkwardness, with Kudon, she's blunt and rude. She likes to find evey excuse she can to avoid confrontation, and her obsession with hiding away has grown to an unhealthy degree. But despite all that, her fellow luns [two gemmed nichlings], Farnh and Gahall, are insistent on befriending her.
Tumblr media
Leaph, Rara's youngest daughter. She's not quite the beacon of positivity most make her out to be, as she's quite quiet when alone. As the youngest, a lot of attention falls to her, with heavy expectations to become an ornif. Leaph takes after her father the most, despite not remembering him too well, with her skill of reading other nichlings. She likes to plan things through, and gets really, really upset when they fail. Leaph's recognized the tension in her family and has taken it on herself to "fix" them. Much like everyone in her family, she's very stubborn, and tends to boss others around. Leaph puts a lot of effort into cheering others up, and gets very upset when it doesn't work.
Leaph has been spending more and more time away from Rara recently, sometimes hanging out with the luns, sometimes the ornifs. Its given her space to grow, outside of her constant scheming about her family. As much as she knows it will disappoint her mother, she doesn't think she'll be an ornif, maybe not even a nichling in the pack. But she's still young, and will have plenty of time to think.
Tumblr media
Farnh, and her twin, Lloth, are orphans, and they're quite proud of it. Farnh prides herself on her ability to care for others, and even bases her self worth on it. It's part of the reason why she's training to be an ane [doctor]. She can hold a grudge for a long, long time, but hates conflict, and buries most of her emotions as deep down as she can. She gets easily aggravated by others doing things that appear stupid to her, or hurting themselves, and goes on and on in lectures scolding them [after they're safe, of course]. Farnh is seen as timid, but she gets really bossy when she gets annoyed, and disobeys orders she thinks are stupid or useless. Most think she can't even be seriously mad, and laugh her frustrations off, which only make her more mad, which she only buries deeper.
Farnh's whole life has circled around Lloth, and now that she's training, she's getting to figure out who she is, outside of her ability to serve. Farnh has been acting very rashly lately, sneaking off, doing irresponsible things, especially when she has Gahall or Ohter with her. Instead of discouraging it, the nichling who teaches her the most, Anakosi, has been encouraging it, and helping her with whatever crazy antics she's getting in next. She doesn't know when to stop anymore.
Tumblr media
Lloth was born with a twisted leg, and due to the pack's lack of knowledge about certain conditions, they didn't preform any exercises to straighten it. Lloth has always been protected by his twin, and is somewhat sheltered and naive, but that doesn't mean he isn't smart. He picks things up at a fast rate, and is good at solving logical problems and puzzles. He's training to be an ornif, which the pack has mixed opinions on. However, Kukir, the maollu of the ornifs, is incredibly protective of all those under his guidance, and refuses to let anyone look at Lloth the wrong way. Kukir is something of a father figure to Lloth. He's desperate to prove himself, and overworks himself to do so. He thrives in social settings, even if it takes a bit for him to start talking.
Lloth has been planning something big, recently. Something big enough to prove that he really is an ornif, and just as good as the rest of them. He knows Farnh says they're just worried for him, but Lloth sees how the pack looks at him. He's thought if out for a long time. He has back up plans upon back up plans, he's been training. He's going to kill a balance bear, himself.

Can we please see more of pregnant OBGYN Kate and her overprotective midwife husband? I just imagine he gets worse with each pregnancy.
Oh but you absolutely know there's no hiding the sex of the baby from them. Anthony gasps as soon as he does the ultrasound, "Kate! There's our baby! Kate! We're having a baby! He's so handsome already!"
And when they give out the new ultrasound picture Kate's like "You can probably tell whether it's a boy or girl."
Mary already taping it to her computer screen like "Obviously."
Edwina sighing like "... For those of us who specialise in something other than uteri could you maybe spell it out?"
"It's pretty obvious, Eddie." Anthony says bemusedly.
Meanwhile Matt Bagwell has looked at it and gasped. "Eddie! You're having a nephew!"
"Oh come on! Even Matt knows?!" Edwina huffs indignantly. "His nickname is Goose and he can tell?!"
"Weird take on our very loving relationship." Matt sighs.
But Anthony is thriving as an expectant father, even if he keeps walking past Kate and swapping out her orange juice for something very thick and green.
"Anthony, I'm an OB! Would you believe I actually know a little bit about pregnancy?"
"Unfortunately for you, You've placed yourself on my service and that means I'm in charge." Anthony grins, handing her some carrots and hummus. "And you haven't eaten in fifteen minutes so it's time to eat again. You love hummus, I got Goose's Mum to make this special."
Anthony left a quick kiss on her lips before running off down the hall. "I love you!"
"It's not too late for me to transfer to Mary's service!" Kate calls back. "And I love you too!"
"He's right." Mary sighs, "You do love hummus, and Matt's Mum's hummus is pretty great."
"Yes, Obviously!" Kate huffs irritably. "And I'm definitely going to send her a thank you note but honestly! The man is deranged!"
And he always calms down by the time the baby is born, and when he's the first person to hold his child, Kate can hardly breathe when she sees them together. Anthony's scrub cap askew, tears in his eyes as he smiles.
"Kate, I love you so much."
And it's the best moment of Anthony's life, always. Until it's not. Until little Mary is born, and suddenly he looks down and there's so much blood, and Kate's eyes roll back in her head.
"Kate? KATE?!" Anthony's frozen, can hardly breathe as his wife starts bleeding right in front of him, slipping away, panic building in his throat until he snaps, pulling every alarm in the room, his voice screaming down the hallway.
"MARY!" And he knows it's not fair, to call her mother in to see her like this, but she's the person Anthony needs more than anything. "MARY HELP!"
"Anthony, what-?" Her voice chokes off when she finds him, desperately trying to stop the bleeding, his shoulders heaving.
"I don't- She's haemorrhaging, please please help me!"
And he sees the shift, the moment Mary's not looking at her daughter anymore. "Anthony, step back, let me, Dr James is on her way. You hold the baby."
He feels so helpless. Standing there in the corner with tears streaming down his face, one arm clutching his new baby girl his other hand holding Kate's so tightly while Mary works quickly with Kate's colleague.
"Anthony, we need to take Kate to surgery okay? You did great let me take it from here okay?"
He can't do anything but nod, his breath shuddering from his body as his wife is wheeled away from him and Mary wraps her arms tightly around him.
"Everything's going to be okay. She'll be okay, Pup."
"I asked her Mary. She didn't- we decided on three babies and I wanted another one and she did it for me and now she's-"
"Hey." Mary Cut him off, her voice firm. "Kate loves you, and she wanted this baby okay? You did everything and everything is going to be just fine."
And finally when Kate opens her eyes again, hours later and the first thing she does is sigh. "I bet you feel really bad about not letting me have that cheeseburger, right?"
Anthony bursts into tears all over again. "You can have whatever you want but we are never having sex again."

The Phoenix And The Rocket
Chapter 5 / 8-ish
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Emily Prentiss, at the insistent of her therapist, signs up for a Trauma ‘dumping’ site. She never expected that her Dump would connect her back to her old boss and the man she’s been in love with for over ten years.
Also the man she’s absolutely furious at for leaving
We’re moving spectacularly fast yall, i’m the one writing and i’m like 🫣 slow down guys
Edit : Since publishing I have been made aware that the term ‘Trauma Bonding’ is actually an abuse tactic and doesn’t mean ‘bonding over shared trauma’. Would like to make it clear that was a very strong mistake on my part and I apologise deeply for any offence.
Read below the cut
She's not surprised when Dave walks in her office when the case ends and they're home five days later, two glasses in one hand and a bottle of Jack in the other. She manages a smile at him as he shuts the door and sits up to pluck the bottle up.
"Wanna tell me what's going on?" Dave asks, teasing but Emily can detect the concern. "Who the guy is?" After her outburst at the precinct, he knew there was more to the story.
After the thing with Mendoza ended badly, Dave was Emily's sounding board. He was there for her in lieu of any of the girls as a drinking buddy, an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on.
Emily didn't have a father growing up, he ran out the second he could, and Dave has worked his way in, settling in her heart and filling that hole in her life. It's not a secret they have a relationship further beyond colleagues. He's her father figure in all walks of life and she's his daughter.
His favourite child out of all of them, if you will.
The concern he's showing her now is that of a father panicking about his daughter not of a colleague probing into another's love life.
She's told her girls, and they've most likely already relayed the information to Garcia so eventually the correct story is going to go around so she may as well confess her sins now.
Emily sighs and swigs the drink to hold of her reply. "I don't know" She admits finally. Seeing his confused expression, she looks down, fiddling with her glass. "It's an anonymous website" She tells him. "It's called TraumaBuddi-"
"TraumaBuddies" Dave finishes off, nodding. "Heard of it, it's where you unload all your shit right?"
"Yeah" Emily laughs slightly at his words. "Yeah it is. Some of the stuff on there is heavy" She breathes, shaking her head. "But uh. Yeah this guys story was intriguing so" She shrugs and finishes her first glass quickly, just after he took two sips of his own.
"So what is it?" The man asks, intrigued.
Emily pauses, wondering not for the first time if by telling a story that wasn't hers to tell would be betrayal. Dave seems to read her mind, for he nods and backs off.
But Emily decides to tell him everything that Rocket has told her. She can't hold it in any longer, and almost vows that she'll send Rocket an apology once Dave leaves.
She tells him all the details of his story but leaves out anything else. Dave gets told that Rocket's wife was killed by a serial killer but not that Rocket got a piercing on his ear when he was 15 and dared to by the girl who later became his wife. He gets told that Rocket had been stabbed more than 5 times but not that his favourite hobby is fishing because of the way his son laughed when the Bass he caught fought back. He gets told about how Emily talked him through the multiple identity crisis but not that Rocket's favourite movie is Interstellar.
"Wow" Dave laughs when she finishes. Emily is breathless by the time she spews all that out. There is more sneaky glinting in his eye that makes Emily want to scream. "Two serial killers, a car bomb, losing the love of his life?" He shakes his head and drains the rest of his whisky. "If I didn't know any better I'd say this 'Trauma Buddy' was Hotch" He says before standing and disposing of his glass.
Emily freezes mid pouring. His words echoed around her. "Hotch?" She laughs though it was shaky. Dave just looks at her suspiciously. "That's impossible" She shakes her head, resuming her task of pouring a healthy dose.
"Why?"
Another shake of her head and pathetic laughter. "Because it is, Dave" She insists through gritted teeth. A fume of anger sparks in her chest that she doesn't think is fair but also doesn't attempt to push away.
"Okay" The old man shrugs. "Don't drink any more of that bottle, Bella" He warns like a father on his way out of the office. "You drive here."
"Relax, dad" Emily grumbles. "I took a cab" He doesn't hear her as he exits the office otherwise he'd have been forcing her in his car.
Emily sat alone, making no move to follow him, and drank a further two glasses. Dave's words made her lose herself in thought.
It can't be, right?
It was an hour later when the cleaners showed up and the lights shut off that Emily got moving. One of the janitors flashes her a friendly smile, too many late nights in the office was the cause of that, as she leaves. Her hands itched towards her phone as she waits for her cab.
A serial killer who got his Ex-Wife.
Foyet and Haley.
A Car Bomb that made his hearing go fuzzy.
NYC and Kate.
Another serial killer targeting his son.
Scratch and Jack.
Rocket checks all the major boxes.
Emily curses loudly and angrily upon entering her house. She throws her satchel forcefully, stomping towards her laptop. She wonders how in the hell she missed it? Is she that stupid? What kind of profiler is she to not read through the subtext. She slams her fingers on the keyboard, logging into that stupid website and immediately going to Rocket's page.
With every new sentence she grows more angry and resentful until one made her pause.
"After my wife died, I moved on. But just two years later, I experienced the same heartbreak again when I lost the woman who I had grown to love. She didn't know that, of course, when she left but I lost her all the same. She came back briefly for around 7 months but decided to leave again.
In the span of a year I lost the love of my life twice.
In the span of three I had lost two."
It couldn't have been Hotch.
Emily would've have known - Garcia would have blabbed the second it happened - if something that detrimental happened while she was away. In Paris or London. It couldn't have happened while she was here and she just didn't know about it.
It couldn't have been Hotch.
With a sigh of relief, Emily begins typing out a new message.
PhoenixPren : Hey Rocket! I see you haven't replied to my last message is everything okay?
She starts moving around, not one to wait for a reply, when her laptop pings almost instantly.
RockyRackoon : Hello. Sorry for not replying sooner, Max and I are moving house and it's been hectic. How are you, Phoenix?
She smiles, ignoring the warm feeling in her chest, and shrugs as if her partner can see her.
PhoenixPren : Max? Is that your son?
She types and deletes that message a few times before ultimately sending it.
PhoenixPren : And I'm okay.Ish. We have a rough case at work
RockyRacoon : Oof makes me glad i'm retired.
RockyRacoon : And yes, He's my son. He's 16 nearly, we're moving closer to his maternal aunt.
Emily grins at the personal details Rocket shared.  Then her smile wavered. Jack Hotchner would be 16 and Jess still lives around here, somewhere, JJ saw her in a grocery store a few months back.
His name is Max, Emily.
She couldn't tell whether she was happy or disappointed at that.
Mid typing out a polite congratulations / good luck reply, Sergio suddenly shoots out of her workspace making papers fly everywhere.
"Sergio!" She scolds, exasperated. "What is up with you lately?" She shakes her head, putting a hand on her beating chest. She ignores the pest as he mewls for her attention, dropping to her knees to pick up the papers. Emily can't even tell you what half of them are and spends a while just reading over them with furrowed brows.
Until she gets to a paper that only she has and that she should have destroyed.
A letter of resignation, another of recommendation followed by two fake IDs.
Aaron and Jack.
Frank and Max.
Emily buckles, falling to sit awkwardly on her hip as she gasps. No fucking way. She scans each ID thoroughly, lingering on Jack's - Max's - for far too long.
Well now she was fucked.
A ping on her laptop made her whirl around.
RocketRacoon : Actually, Max's aunt lives in Alexandria, Virginia. Isn't that your neck of the woods?
She could scream.
With shaky hands, she types slowly.
PhoenixPren : Yeah. I'm in Dupont Circle.
RocketRaccoon : Oh, only 20 minutes away.
Emily is still on her knees on the floor, using her couch as a table.
Don't do it. Please don't ask. If you ask I cannot say no.
RocketRaccoon : This may be a bit forward, But would you like to get coffee? We arrive Friday Morning.
Ah, he did it.
Emily was typing before she could even think. The possibility that it was that man was making her act upon impulse.
PhoenixPren : Given that my team and I aren't on a case, absolutely. I know a great cafè in Alexandria. Rise and Grind.
She recalls, briefly, that R&G was his favourite coffee place but he never could get it because he lived in Quantico, almost an hour out.
RocketRacoon: I know the place. See you there, Phoenix.
PhoenixPren : How will you know it's me?
RocketRaccoon : I'll know.
Aaron stares at the computer, heart beating fast and filled with dread. Jack is next to him on the couch, waving his broken arm around like he could magically fix it.
He didn't know what the fuck just overcame him.
Inviting her out for coffee?
Where the fuck did that come from?
He removes the glasses from his face, wiping his hand over it tiredly. He groans lowly, making Jack snicker. The trees rustle harshly, mockingly, in the window making him shoot a glare out.
"Mom thinks you're funny to" Jack muses, smirking at the window. Aaron rolls his eyes and closes his laptop after Phoenix doesn't reply.
"Mom can shut up" He retorts, resisting a smirk of his own when the trees shake harder, as if Haley was yelling at him.  She probably was, if he could delude himself that far.
Jack snorts. "That's you told" He says, switching the channel on the tv. "Told you dating is okay."
Aaron groans again and puts the laptop on the floor in front of him. The coffee table is gone, sold in a yard sale they had two days ago. The rest of the nicknacks and furniture around the room baring the couch has either been sold or packed away. They fly out on Thursday night, the cheapest flight times he could find, with the rest of their stuff meeting them throughout the weekend.
It's taken a lot of effort. Jack is in his sophomore year at school so Aaron has had to deal with admin pulling him out, then actually finding a house that's moderately close to another school, vetting the school and seeing which is best for him but also trying to find a house that's close enough to Jess but far away from any of his old teammates.
And that's hard enough in itself when you haven't had contact with any of them so you don't even know where they are living.
So yeah, moving across the country is a little hectic.
"Jack" He scolds. "It's not a date."
"You've been chatting up a woman-"
"I don't think you can call it chattin-“
"You've been chatting up a woman" Jack repeats as if his father hadn't spoken. He smirks as he remembers the woman's user name but wisely chooses not to comment. There's a reason his dad didn't tell him it was Miss Emily, so he won't push. "Flirting a lot and then you ask her out to coffee? Sounds like a date to me dad"
The trees rustle as if to back up his point.
Aaron rolls his eyes. "No it was a moment of madness fuelled by you and your mother's" He points to the tree. "Meddling tendencies." He stands and puts his laptop away in the bag in top of his suitcase. "It is not a date, I'm merely going to meet and thank this woman for helping me. Now, Are we playing Mario Kart or what?" He asks pointedly.
Jack side eyes the window again as Aaron leaves to find the game in one of the boxes. "I don't think we meddle" He says to the ghost of his mom. "Do we?" The trees shake again and Jack takes it as if she's shaking her head. He carefully watches the doorway. "It is who I think it is right, mom?" He asks softly. "Be still if it is." The child that still lives inside him holds out the imagination that the nature outside really is his mom, still with him.
The trees shake gently a few times before the wind miraculously dies down. Jack breaks into a wide smile as Aaron comes back with the game in hand.
"What?" His father asks suspiciously.
Jack just shakes his head. "Nothin" He replies nonchalantly. The tree backs him up with another shiver, making Aaron roll his eyes and start the game with no other thought cast to his ‘date’.

Lookism 479, 480 and 481 edited
Struggled to type this because I'm sore from my physio therapist appointment
479
- OK, so we know Jerry also knew Jinyoung and that his father was murderd. We also know there's this mysterious reporter Kim who might have some clues.
- What is the Era of peace?
- Jerry's father had an abnormal body.
- Why does no one know anything about Daniel's connection with Jinyoung? I'm so done. I don’t even care about that anymore.
- Now that lineman's training, I would like to see him go against some of the worker guys that beat him.
- Dj being shady ass hell as usual 🙄. I don't think Daniel should trust him, he's being too trusting. James knows so much but refuses to tell him anything. He's using Daniel to get to jinyoung so he can learn the secret behind the 2 bodies. I know deep down Daniel doesn't trust him that much, but he needs to stop giving James even the tiniest bit of info.
- I feel like Lightning Choi is in danger now that James knows about him.
- oh my God, he really is living by the junkyard💀
- these guys just keep getting stronger, why is his back so huge, it looks like an extra layer of skin😮‍💨
- tf do they mean by " the time has come for us to try to kill each other". As if they weren't giving each other permanent damage. Honestly, gun and Goo's relationship reminds me of 2 siblings, goo being the younger one who is not used to being independent until one day he decides to leave the nest. This whole meeting felt like a family low-key falling apart, goo leaving the family but deciding to visit his brother one last time before leaving. Which makes me think about the whole theory of someone dying and it showing guns' true personality. I originally thought that it was hinting towards Olly and how gun surprisingly has respect for the dead. But now I think it's goo who's going to die. These panels are honestly so well done. The bittersweet smiles and how human they look in here. You can tell they don't want to kill each other.
480
- I feel gun will eventually betray Charles because he took it too far or hold back while fighting goo. That or there'll be a change of plans like in the workers' fight with dg.
- I think gun was genuinely happy to find someone on his level. Maybe he was used to people always agreeing with everything he did or said, so befriending someone like goo was a breath of fresh air.
- Watching this interaction also reminds me of Crystal. It honestly looked like she had a good relationship with James,Gun, and Goo. Calling them hyung and conversing normally. She seemed like the little sister of the family, and Charles is like the power-hungry dad tearing it apart. I almost felt bad watching the junkyard breakup, but then I remembered they're both awful people. The one I truly feel bad for is Crystal. She didn't ask for this, she didn't join Charles because she had a choice.
- The whole thing with Eli deciding Hudson will stay, and the whole " ... so I'll let you borrow one room" thing is pissing me off. Why is he the one making all the decisions, Sally did a lot for Hostle, but somehow, she's just being pushed aside. Ptj wtf. Throughout the entire Hostle arc, it was just Eli getting the credit for half the shit Sally did it was literally her idea to give the runways a home. And the point system shit was not only an Ok idea, but it wasn't even his original it was just something he saw while living on the streets. The fact it's all "Eli this" and " Eli that" is so fucking annoying. Ptj literally showed Sally putting in the work and pushed all the credit toward Eli. Like if you want it to be about him actually make it about him
- Gyeol doesn't deserve his brother.
- Every one of these guys have insane methods, like how do you expect him to talk when you shove his glasses down his throat.
- THE UGLY FACE EXPRESSIONS ARE HERE WHICH MEANS SHIT WILL FINALLY GO DOWN.
- I used to think Charles's weakness was his daughter but now I don't think he gives a fuck about her.
- How did dg record the evidence though?
481
- hey I have that flash drive too
- I think dg was testing the waters with the whole flash drive situation to see Eugene's reaction to him knowing jinyoung.
- Mandeok is like Regina George, his hair is full of secrets literally
- Now they're calling it anxiety attacks instead🫥, ptj please research mental health
- is it me or James feels guilty for killing Gapryong and jinyoung going insane? This makes me think that after that incident James started hating Charles.
- that's some tacky ass writing he has there on his car
- that's the worst marketing strategy I've ever seen
- how did jibeom get so big😃
- Someone said the new guy looks like the lovechild of dg and Eli and now I can't unsee it
- To think Vin killed a king
- I was right about the cult theory
- This is why education is important, people think anything is evil, acting like they're not the devil themselves.

Request:
Kojirou’s daughter is in a relationship with Poseidon’s son. What were the fathers’ reaction? ( Provided that both Kojirou and Poseidon have met and battle against each other before)
Ahhh a nice sunny day and kojirou was enjoying his nice cup of tea, well that was until y/n ran down the halls with excitement.
"Where are you going y/n?" Kojirou asked as he watched his daughter run into the kitchen and run back out.
"I'm going to the beach with some friends!" She shouted and ran out quickly. Kojirou blinked a couple time before he crossed his arms and thought for a second.
Y/n and kojirou are at least 2 hours away from the village...y/n never really liked going out...then it clicked.
"So you FINALLY figured it out, you old fart." Poseidon walked out of the forest with a irritated look on his face, he held onto his trident with a tight grip. Kojirou sigh and stood up
"What do you want this time?"kojirou crossed his arms and looked at the irritated God with a not-so-surprised look on his face.
"My son has been sneaking out of the palace for a couple weeks and the only human I know, knows where kids they're age go." Poseidon huffed and put his trident on the table.
"Hmm my daughter has been going out for these past weeks..." kojirou sipped his tea and closed his eyes in thought.
"How can you be this dumb you fool! My son his with YOUR daughter!" Poseidon sternly said and looked directly into kojirou's eyes.
Kojirou got up and put his slippers on, while Poseidon watched his "friend" walk in the direction where he saw his daughter ran off to.
"It doesn't hurt to see what they're doing." Kojirou calmly said and Poseidon couldn't help but follow him.
The walk was silent and awkward since Poseidon was still strict with walking along side with a human, even after ragnarok was settled. Soon enough the duo reached the beach and hid in a bush to hide from the couple.
Y/n was laughing and smiling his Poseidon's son. They looked like they didn't have a care in the world.
"Kai will not be allowed to meet your daughter, kojirou." Poseidon hissed as he watched the couple smile and laugh.
"Jeez let them be you crabby old man! They're young and in love!" Kojirou grabbed the gods hair and moved his head back and forth
The couple stopped what they were doing and looked at the direction their fathers were in, they both sighed and walked over to the bush and stood there.
"My son is a God and you're daughter is a human!"
"My daughter is my pride and joy AND is a talented samurai!"
It kept going back and forth until y/n and Kai pulled both of them out of the bush and stared at them. The 4 didn't say anything, but stare at each other.
"Ummm what are you doing here?" Kai asked as he looked at his dad, utterly confused of why his dad is all the way over here.
Poseidon stood up and looked at y/n with a disgusted look, well...y/n stared at him too with a bored look on her face. Kojirou and Kai watched the 2 and noticed they were staring at each other's eyes with hate.
Kojirou sighed and bonked Poseidon's head.
"Will you stop staring at my daughter like that." He bluntly said
"She doesn't look like a samurai or anything for that matter," Poseidon huffed and turned to his son.
Welp! Poseidon gave in to the fact that his son is in a relationship with a human, all thanks to Kojirou convincing him for the past 5 hours.
× With y/n and Kai ×
"I kinda expected your father to be more scary looking, but he looks so sleep deprived." Y/n lightly laughed
"I'm surprised your dad actually convinced him to allow us to date," Kai sighed and put his head down.
"Did your father tell you that story of ragnarok that happened 20 years ago?" Y/n asked as she walked along the shoreline with Kai.
"No, my dad never tells me anything." Kai looked down at the sand.
Y/n told Kai about ragnarok and Kai couldn't believe it, his dad, Poseidon...lost to kojirou. Y/n kept talking about all the battles and how Kojirou was reincarnated after ragnarok and had a family, but kojirou also had a wish from the gods from being the winner.
He asked if it was possible if Poseidon was reincarnated as a God again, not to fight him, but to become friends with the God. Although kojirou failed 35 times, but he managed to get the sleep deprived God to become his friend.
Later in life, kojirou's wife passed away while giving birth to y/n, but he managed to raise y/n into a beautiful swordsmen.
Poseidon on the other hand had a difficult time raising Kai and refused to accept kojirou's offer on helping him.
Now kojirou and Poseidon were sitting in the back of the house drinking tea and playing games on a little table, both always ended up in a tie so they just agreed to drinking tea.
Y/n and Kai were in the kitchen cooking, but struggling be cause Kai never cooked before

if somehow shiv and tom had managed to have the open relationship convo BEFORE their actual wedding (like back in new york before they even got to europe) how do you think that would have looked like? do you think tom would have still gone along with it? would it have made their relationship better or worse
Oh, that's such an interesting question...
Fair warning that this answer is very long because I think there are a lot of contributing factors and angles that need to be explored:
First off, I think the timing of the conversation would matter. A conversation had, for instance, shortly after Thanksgiving, before anything has happened with Nate but after the idea of infidelity has been introduced, would go a lot differently than a conversation where Shiv tells Tom about Nate right before they go to Europe. (I think she would tell Tom about Nate because her desire for an open marriage is partly informed by a desire for openness and honesty; she doesn't feel capable of monogamy, and she doesn't want to be sneaking around. So, I don't think there's a world where she asks for an open marriage but hides the thing with Nate from Tom).
For her to have the conversation in advance, though, I think she'd need to be okay with the possibility that Tom would leave. I don't think she intentionally waits until their wedding night to "trap" him - although Tom clearly feels that way by 2.10 - but I do think that being married lowers the chances of him walking away simply under the sunk-cost fallacy.
I also think her desire for an open marriage is not really rooted in sexual desires but emotional ones, which is one of its significant problems. I am not at all an expert on open relationships (it's very much not something that's for me), but from what I understand, it works in situations where there's some sort of sexual disparity that's being addressed through the relationship. (I'm also distinguishing here an open relationship, which is usually just sexual, from a polyamorous one, which usually isn't just sexual and where the relationships are more complex. Again, though, I'm not an expert on either.)
I think we're meant to take at face value that Shiv has not cheated on Tom as of Thanksgiving, and I don't think we're meant to believe that infidelity has been a part of her previous relationships. There's some implication that she's had a lot of sexual partners (although a lot of that is coming from other people and in circumstances where they're trying to shame her, so I take that with a grain of salt) but never an implication that she cheated on any of them. So, I think the desire to not be exclusive is very much connected to their engagement and the prospect of marriage.
There are a couple of theories out there as to what the specific reason is; Sarah Snook said in an interview once that her belief is that Shiv has never seen a marriage that didn't feature infidelity, especially within her family, and that's why she herself feels incapable of monogamy. All of her father's marriages were characterized by cheating, and she is her father's daughter. And likely, she saw the negative impact this had on his marriages, especially on her mother. So, her solution is an open marriage. Maybe if we can codify the infidelity, we can weather the storm. Maybe if we agree in advance that this is okay, and we (I) can be honest about what's going on, it won't break us like it did my parents.
I think there's probably a lot of truth to that. I think another contributing factor is likely just a fear of intimacy, particularly emotional intimacy. I do think her affair with Nate and the open marriage is, in part, a way to create some emotional distance from Tom. She's not a person who feels safe in relationships, in general, and so I think the prospect of being married to one person, and the expectations of physical and emotional exclusivity that generally go along with that, is frightening to her, especially when coupled with that fact that marriages are theoretically supposed to be permanent. She needs some kind of ripcord for when it becomes too much, and I think that's what the open relationship is meant to do: sleeping with someone else, sharing that physical intimacy with someone else, relieves some of the emotional burdens she feels from monogamy. (She doesn't need this before the engagement because, before the engagement, she can theoretically walk away whenever she wants; while the divorce is, of course, an option, I think it's one she probably really wants to avoid, given her own upbringing, and that increases the pressure on her immensely.)
So, with all of that background - I think that if Shiv had the conversation around Thanksgiving, very clearly articulating what it is she wanted rather than hinting with the infidelity thing and hoping Tom would be okay with it...
Well. I think regardless of the timing an the circumstances, Tom's initial, gut reaction would be hurt. And part of this is because Shiv's desire for an open marriage is rooted in insecurity; I don't think she'll be able to frame that desire in a way that doesn't cause Tom to feel like he's personally lacking on some level. Like he's not enough, and this is a personal failing. And his own self-loathing tendencies mean he's going to be inclined to read it that way, even if she was able to present it in a way that was perfectly neutral.
But I think because this is how he would take the request, I don't think he'd be able to articulate his own concerns around it. Tom very much wants to be monogamous, and he isn't going to be happy in any kind of non-monogamous relationship. But - he doesn't have the personal security to be able to say that, and the timing of the conversation isn't going to change this.
So I think he would still agree, because he loves Shiv and wants her to be happy, because he hates and himself and so this makes a sort of tragic sense to him, and because he's afraid that if he loses her he's not going to find anyone else - and, if we're being honest, because walking away from that relationship is going to put his career in jeopardy. I absolutely do not believe this is his primary reason for marrying Shiv, but he's definitely aware of it, and it's just going to be another reason to try and do the "open relationship" thing.
I don't think there's any world in which this is a good thing for either of them, because of Tom's insecurity and because of Shiv's motivations. I also think that Shiv pretty clearly does have some kind of emotional connection with Nate, which means we're already looking at a relationship that sort of breaks the boundaries that get put around "open relationships" - so I just think no matter how you slice it, no matter the timing, it is going to end in disaster.
However. I think if they had this conversation around Thanksgiving, and then were able to use the intervening months as a sort of "trial run", they wouldn't have gotten married - which I think would have been the best outcome for everyone involved. I think there's decent odds Tom would have reached the breaking point of his misery before the wedding, and would have decided to cut his losses and take the career hit and move on - especially because, if they aren't yet married, there's less pressure to stay together and try to make it work. Plus, if this isn't sustainable for him there's an incentive to figure that out definitively before the wedding.
There's an alternative possibility where he goes to leave and Shiv decides to give up the open relationship so he'll stay. But I'm not actually sure she would... I think it's pretty clearly her intent through season 1 to stop sleeping with Nate or anyone else when they get married, and instead, when push comes to shove, she feels she has to ask for the open relationship. Monogamy is not something she believes is sustainable for her. Additionally, I think the open relationship would put so much strain on both of them (especially Tom) that other parts of their relationship would deteriorate as well, and it might not feel like there's much left to save.
If they have the conversation right before they leave for Europe? That's a bit more of a wildcard. Tom is clearly willing to call off the wedding if he thinks Shiv doesn't want it. Finding out about the affair is also going to be a significant emotional blow to him. I think the proximity to the wedding means it'll be hard for Shiv to make the request for an open marriage sound reasonable and well-thought-out - it's going to sound to Tom like she just wants to keep fucking Nate.
On the other hand - would Tom really call off the wedding if Shiv wanted to go through with it? I don't know. Calling off the wedding that close to the date is going to cause a lot of gossip and speculation, and again, we're looking at the career blow. Plus, he does love Shiv, and they've spent months building up to the wedding, and the closer they get to the wedding the more sunk-cost fallacy is involved. Theoretically they could postpone the wedding until they both have more certainty, but I don't think either of them would think to do that.
I've debated with people whether or not Tom believes Shiv the night before the wedding when she says she hasn't slept with anyone else. Personally, I don't think he does, but decides to go through with the marriage anyways, committing to the illusion that it's something that it isn't (monogamous). (I also think that's why he tells Shiv about the cruise documents - to create that intimacy, and to bind her to him a little more with this shared secret.) So this is where I'm torn - I think the key question is, would he call off the wedding if she was honest with him?
Ultimately? I think not. I think at that point, they would have gone through with the wedding no matter what. And maybe, in a certain sense, this would have given them a better chance, since there isn't the baggage of Tom feeling "Shanghai-ed into an open-borders free-fuck trade deal". I think they'd both still be miserable, but there would be more of a feeling on Tom's part that he consented to this misery, and that's going to change the way he approaches the relationship and Shiv. He wouldn't be able to hold it against her quite the same way he does in canon (although I think he still would resent her for it, just... quietly). It definitely wouldn't be a healthy relationship, but... maybe it would be a bit more stable.

If this is not too personal, how does your family/siblings etc. react to you being a lesbian? Because I was just having fun with my siblings and my brother joked about beating up my boyfriend if I have one and when I slightly hinted that my ‘boyfriend’ could be a girlfriend he said he’d still beat her up and deadass said ‘don’t dirty this family’ as in ‘don’t fucking pull this family into dirt by being into women and giving us a horrible reputation for having a lesbian daughter/sister’… I’m straight up hurt and furious and feeling like weeping now cause even though I could have guessed my brother is homophobic I didn’t expect him to be like that. My brother believes that siblings should stick together but that apparently doesn’t count if I’m not into men. I’m from a Turkish family too and being homosexual in a Turkish family straight up means that you might as well not be a part of this family at all. Turkish people are rather conservative and still thinking in an old way which is frustrating. :( Especially because it’s Muslim households too, and yk Islam and homosexuality does not go well..
I’m very sorry if you don’t accept vents etc. I was just curious about if your family is or thinks like that too or if you had the same experience? Feel free to delete this if this might be triggering or if my question was too personal etc.
I'm very sorry that happened to you. I wish I had advice, but I don't. All I can say is that there are people out there who will love and support you. I hope you can find them.
My family is democratic but I did worry that I'd be met with homophobia (and I was) when I came out. My father was a deeply Christian man. He straight up claimed to get visions from God. He never directly said anything homophobic. The one thing I can remember is being in a shoe store when I was little and asking my father why pink shoes were in the men's section. He made a sort of disgusted face and said it was for men on the "wise side". Why did he use that phrase as a stand in for being gay? I don't know, but I do think it's kind of funny. Apparently gay men are wise!!
Anyway, as you can imagine, I was not particularly stoked to come out to him.
My mother was worse and better. She was not as religious as my father. She had gay friends. She loved Ellen Degeneres. I never heard her say anything homophobic growing up. However, she was worse because she's abusive 💀 When I was a child, I wondered why my father would be with her when she was so fucking mean and awful. I wanted nothing to do with her. I wouldn't leave my room if she was hanging about. Just generally a really awful mom. I had no strong feelings about coming out to her. I didn't think she was homophobic but I didn't wanna tell her things in general.
Like most gay kids, my parents knew before I told them. When I officially told my dad, he didn't care. Didn't say anything about it. He wasn't homophobic towards me or anything.
Honestly, I'm just now realizing how funny it is that my deeply religious father had no qualms about me being gay but my mom did 😭.
My mom wasn't like. Violently homophobic when I came out. Just casually so. She was all like "so you like to dress like a boy??" in a really unpleasant tone of voice. And she asked me to "keep an open mind" and constantly accuses me of actually being bisexual. She says that I "think" I'm gay. It's just very casual homophobia on her part. She clearly doesn't like the fact that I'm only interested in women even though she claims to love me and accept me no matter what. It's very clear that seeing me with a man would make her happy.
Idk. My coming out wasn't awful. My brother is bisexual. I don't have a relationship with anyone else in my family tbh. So, yea, that's my story. Also, I accept all types of asks. My inbox is always open.

I hope this is ok to ask, but what do you think of Daemon and Nettles storyline? I know you ship them, but what about how Martin writes it or the story he wants to tell/thinks he's telling? I'm not really a fan, much less so because by the time I got to that chapter I was already fed up with Martin. He's pretty much using F&B to talk about his favorites characters and while if you can't play in your own sandbox then where can you play, it makes it a little difficult to take very seriously
I wouldn’t say I ship “ship” them because it’s kinda hard to ship something when you have basically just the Wikipedia summary of what their relationship looked like. I think I ship the potential of the couple to a degree lol. And because I love cliche romantic tropes.
With that said, I’ve always been very cool about my ships in the sense that I know when I’m the one reading into it more than the story is giving me anything x the story wants me to see it in a romantic light. And I think George couldn’t be more obvious about how he wanted their story to be perceived as romance.
It’s not very hard to spot when George is going to the romantic angle of something, because his couples follow similar tropes, same as how it’s easy to spot his favorite characters because they all share similar traits. Nettles and Daemon in particular play very much into those things: Nettles is the underdog, who comes from nothing and is shunned by society, only to be proven that they are actually exceptional and special (with his more developed characters, Brienne and Tyrion come to mind, although Tyrion also falls into the next category) and Daemon is the character who commits tons of atrocities but has also certain aspects of his personality that are actually good and therefore the reader has complex feelings about him (Jaime and Theon are a good example of that in the main saga).
It’s only natural that he would pair these two together, especially if he can play with ideas such as the two coming from opposite backgrounds or clashing when it comes to their beliefs or even how they defy societal expectations when it comes to those characters getting romantically entangled. He loves to add any of those tropes to his couples (Dunk & Rohanne; Duncan & Jenny; Alys & Aemond; Jaime & Brienne. The last two in particular, it’s very very clear that Daemon and Nettles are the Dance version of Jaime and Brienne, to the point that even some of Daemon & Nettles plot beats echo those of Jaime & Brienne).
I think both Nettles and Daemon had different purposes in the story, each one having a different arc with a different goal in mind, and their relationship can be read in three different perspectives: what it means to Nettles arc, what it means to Daemon’s arc and what it means to them as a couple and love story. I can go into more depth about this if you want, let me know lol.
Ultimately, like I said before, people (sometimes willingly so they can fit into their own headcanons/agendas) misinterpret their relationship because they either want to close their eyes to the reality of it (“they are father/daughter” when it’s not because the book canonically makes it impossible and cmon, never mind all the obvious romantic imagery of their scenes and goodbye) or because they want to push a problematic angle that wasn’t really George’s goal (“daemon is grooming another little girl because is he’s a pedo” cmon George has a serious problem with ages in general to begin with, to the point I’m pretty sure he never saw a child/young teen in real life. Almost all of his romantic couples have a problematic age gap, which is why I can “overlook” this when it comes to Daemon and Nettles because it’s clear it’s not important in their case. Finally, because he goes out of his way to show that even though nettles is “young”, she is “older” than the girls he used to sleep with, and that with her it is “different”. I said in another post, he never wrote their relationship as a commentary about Daemon’s pedo tendencies, but in spite of it).
I think the story he’s trying to tell, to simplify, is of two awesome characters (subjectively lol. Nettles is awesome. Daemon is up for debate) he likes quite a bit finding romance and having an impactful story because since he likes those two characters quite a bit, and he’s the one writing the story, he can give them all the cool tropes and ideas just because. Which I get. I love Brienne so she’s always the most special one and the queen of everything whenever I write a fic. I can’t say I blame him for it.
And feel free to send me asks, I love answering it!
