A Hawks x Artist!Reader fic where you're out drawing random civilians and hoping for a chance to sketch some patrolling heroes too when you spot Hawks. He's taking a quick break, perched leisurely on the roof of a nearby shop, surveying the area when he sees you drawing him. He freezes, wings that were previously softly waving coming to a still, golden eyes locking firmly onto yours.

You avert your gaze so fast your neck hurts, and you unsuccessfully try to hide behind your little sketchbook, your face on fire at getting caught. When you've caught your breath and you feel brave enough to look back, Hawks is holding up two fingers. Then he strikes a dramatic hero pose and you gape, eyes wide with disbelief as you realize he'll hold the pose for two minutes, just so you can draw him. You do so with your heartbeat hammering in your ears.

God, I forgot how much walking cons are, hahaha. Most of it is because it's my sworn duty to check out Every Single Booth in Artist's Alley. We got through most of it today, a couple of rows left tomorrow!

There was not as much hellaverse art as I expected!! Which: I know that it's an anime convention, but there's a ton of Baldur's Gate 3 stuff all over the place and frankly I was there for the Homestuck days, so. Y'know. Still, I did find some AMAZING charms and a couple of fantastic prints, including one absolutely fucking enormous print for Alastor's radio show that is absolutely going to be framed on my wall in my new place, ehehe.

I also happened to meet two different artists that I've participated in zines together with, which was awesome! There's a hellaverse panel tomorrow evening that I'm excited for, and we had a lot of fun with the panels/cosplay gatherings we got to see today, so I'm very satisfied. Cons feel so much more managable as a grown adult with my own income and vehicle, I'm ngl. Maybe one day I'll get back into cosplaying for them...

Anyway, now I get to read through and reply to all the awesome comments y'all left in my inbox today! q^q <3 <3

Honestly, Baron didn't expect his day start with Haru slamming into the Bureau with a 'stranger' following her, saying that this person needed their help.

Baron didn't mind, really. He adored Haru for always helping people in need whenever she could…. Did Haru say she found him inside her room? Watching her sleep???

Zenth Wizdom, he told his name.

From his appearance, it was clear that he was from another world and seemed to hold a higher status from the way he spoke. Zenth explained that he came from a dream, which is why he ended up in Haru's room. Muta said it didn't make sense, and Baron kind of agreed with him. Why Haru? Was this guy the one Haru had dreamt about? Baron glared at him.

Sensing his agitation, Haru immediately stated that she didn't remember dreaming about him. However, she did catch a glimpse of him. Zenth chuckled, casually and shamelessly admitting that he watched her dream because it seemed interesting. He said this as he glanced at the gentleman cat. Okay, that sounded creepy, everyone agreed. Zenth only stared in confusion, saying he always watched people dream in his spare time and saw nothing wrong with it as long as he didn't interfere.

Well, that failed, knowing he was with them now.

Baron tried not to lunge at him after hearing the story, forgetting the fact that he was curious about Haru's dream. Zenth didn't sound like a danger. No, he was honest, VERY honest, and it pissed him off.

It looked really ridiculous; Zenth was a nice guy, always smiling, with an undertone of innocence about him. He was also a gentleman. Baron didn't understand why he needed to be cautious, especially when he saw how happy Haru looked talking to this person. Baron didn't understand why he clenched his fist every time Zenth made Haru laugh—they seemed close. He felt ignored.

Then, the icy blue eyes met his.

"Don't be jealous, Baron. I'm not interested in her that way," Zenth said, still smiling.

A sigh of relief… huh, why did he feel relieved knowing that?

It didn't last long when Zenth opened his mouth again. "But I like her enough to make me want to visit her dreams every night." There was no smugness or arrogance in his tone; he just stated it, and his smile remained genuine.

Ok, Baron couldn't stand this guy.

personally i think the best way to get everyone out of the way during the squad vacation to brazil is for forever to announce the completion of his prison, ""randomly"" draw the names of the members who are leaving (or they volunteer), and then say "okay cool test it out for me and let me know how it goes!!" and they get tp'd into prison and summarily kicked from the server.
