i think this maybe doesn't happen until he has all the girls. not that gigi didn't change him but that gigi popped out almost exactly like him, the darker sides of him, sarcastic and dry and blunt without meaning to be. he used to dress her just like truman black for halloween or dress up days for school, or she dressed up like horror movie characters or memes. gigi is the roll her eyes child, the get them on a technicality child, the make you say please for something and then not give it to you child. gigi was criticising the government as soon as she was able to speak. gigi grows up fast, makes cutting remarks, calls him matty or matthew. he loves her for it. he wouldnt have it any other way.

but then came miss shay. sweet little baby shay. a crier. tearing up when mufasa dies on lion king and softly stroking any cat or dog she sees in the street. dreamy. off in her own world. shay has matty's curls but your eyes and your soft temperament. shay has matty's smile when he lets it all go on stage, the non theatrical performances, the enjoy the music performances, the enjoy life, enjoy fame, enjoy fans, enjoy being adored. and shay does. shay adores being adored. she's a lover. she dances round the lounge in the sun to kids bop music in flowy dresses, bangles all up her arms.

shay calls him daddy and nothing else. and it melts him. he has treated gigi like a little adult her whole life, and he planned on doing that with his second baby girl too, but he has to adjust. when her little personality pops, and his new baby girl valentine is nearly two and shes not even his new baby girl anymore because the twins have just arrived, staring up at him with big eyes in the tiniest onesies he's ever seen. he thought he had parenting figured out but now he knows, he has to be different for each of these kids, for who they are, not who he is. give them what they need from him. let them be who they wanna be.

one night, shay can't sleep so she is downstairs with daddy, lying on his chest and he is watching tikok, some comedy show with white males who are making fun of something and someone, and he doesn't scroll because he thinks shay is asleep but she listens and then mumbles. "don't like it, turn it off," and matty shuts it off quickly and says "sorry baby, i thought you were asleep."

"mean man," shay says, her voice thick, "mean mean man."

matty is quiet. when she does fall asleep he lays her down in her bed, and then sits for a long time in the chair in his oldest two girl's room. you find him later.

"you okay?" you whisper, not to wake the girls up.

"the twins down?" he says to you.

"yeah. lexie was awake but quiet. stevie's gone."

matty doesnt say anything. you ask him again if he is okay.

"i dont want to be a mean mean man," he says to you.

"you're not," you say, putting your arms over his shoulders and running your hands down his chest. "these baby girls. they think you're the greatest."

he smiles. shay shuffles in her sleep, her face towards him, her mouth hanging open. innocent and perfect and pure. gigi looks more like a baby when she sleeps too. she is still just a child.

"i always want them to think that," he says.

"they will," you say, "come to bed?"

"in a sec," matty says. you sneak out the room. matty gets out his phone and deletes truman black. when they ask him if he is sure he clicks yes. he goes on his private account, unknown to the public, that only his friends and family follow. he finds a picture you took of him earlier today. in the park getting ice cream. one twin, lexie, is in the baby sling on his back asleep, the other, stevie, is in his arms, crying, red face. valentine is clutching onto one of his legs, determined to stand by herself, and gigi has one hand and is pulling him somewhere, determined to get everyone moving. shay is on his shoulders arms stretched up towards the sun, smiling, not a care in the world, except making sure her trainers don't accidentally knock her baby sister. he is looking at the camera, at you, half terrified, half absolutely blissful.

yapping about the outsiders x amrev

Okay so first off, not replacing any characters, obviously. Im thinking the aides are their own seperate little group that just hang around one another. Not an actual gang like the shepard gang but more how the main characters run; just a group thats independent, but willing to stick up for one another. Ive decided that if i ever do something with this god forsaken AU its genuinely just gonna be mostly seperate from the main plot because none of the aides themselves would be socs and so the plot wouldnt even be relevant until the very end.(I have been thinking of making Lafayette a soc or something. Just for the fuck of it to test some limits to hamilton, laurens, and laf's friendship with the whole bob thing ehe!)

But for the sake of this AU, theyre all aged into their 20s except for Washington. Its just easier than having 60 year olds street fighting.

Right, so characters! I havent thought much on other aides BUT i have thought VERY heavily on Laurens and Hamilton, obviously. So, starting with Laurens. Hes literally the same. Hes just as impulsive as he is during his time period if not worse. Hes given more opportunities to fight and he takes every. single. one. I would say hes similar to Dally but really he isnt. He'll get in a fistfight every week or so but nothing serious enough he ends up in jail. His relationship with HL is kind if rocky, too. They moved from SC to fucking oklahoma and John is not too happy about the move, for one, and his father isnt happy that Laurens turned into a 'hood.' Mainly, he just wont sleep at his own house. He'll crash at Meade's place or maybe Hamilton's run down, abandoned little house if he has to. HL isnt abusive or anything he just doesnt like living with so many siblings while his father goes on and on about how hes a bad influence. Not helping that he has a new bruise or cut every time he vists but i digress, John is basically a 'watered down' dally.

Righttt, Hamilton! Yeah, born in NYC, mom died, got too expensive, so he moved to good ol Oklahoma without his dad. I may just say he works at DX with Soda and whatnot because while the aides arent needed for the plot, i want them to feel a lil somethin somethin when everything goes down in the book and having a relation to both Soda and Steve would at least make Hamilton feel a bit bad and maybe even convince him to fight in the rumble at the end. Laurens and him arent really officially dating either. Theyre technically exclusive, but they never really talked about it and kind of just say theyre there to keep each other in check. Neither of them really want to confront any of their emotions towards anything so they settle for hamilton lovingly scolding laurens every time he gets in a fight and sharing 'no homo' kisses. Yeah and he lives in this run down house that he doesnt pay for and he has to drop by Meade's place whenever cops come searching for anyone living in there because i need him to be a little bit pathetic.

The rest of the aides are primarily undecided, if im being honest. Meade's parents are still alive from what I know and the other aides either stay at their own house or crash at Meade's, but Laurens is usually taking up the couch on most nights as does Hamilton. Most of the other aides arent big fighters really, theyre just trying to make it through college/day to day jobs. Washington kind of watches over all of them, like an unofficial father to their lil gang. They just hang around him and he frequently scolds them all for misbehaving. Hes like darry but older i guess. (Hes like, in his late 40's in this AU.)

Oh, and kinloch is there because i said so! If anything, he gives me major soc vibes and i primarily think he is why Laurens has such a knack for starting fights with socs for no reason. They were some weird ass situationship and they had an unofficial breakup that Laurens is still extremely salty over. Francis totally went for his neck during the rumble btw and they hate each other and laurens still tries to start fights with him whenever he sees him.

Though, Lafayette is also pretty undecided. I want him to be a greaser but at the same time i think him being a soc would test the limits of him and laurens' friendship while also he and hamilton's friendship. Laurens because obviously, francis. Hamilton because he saw how the socs affected soda, steve, etc and he feels bad for them, but also Lafayette would be dead set that Johnny is a murderer because he needs to stick up for the socs to stay loyal.

Now lets talk about the rumble! I think only some of the aides would get involved, really. Hamilton would because he saw how johnny affected steve and soda, Laurens because he just wants to fight, and the two dragged along Tilghman and Harrison because theyre strong enough to do some genuine damage. The rest of them just dont want to be involved in all of that and think its easier to just not get hurt.(Meade tags along but stands off to the side just to make sure no one gets seriously injured. He has change ready for a pay phone in case he needs to call up washington.)

Now, what i think would be interesting is their reaction to Dally's death. Im saying Laurens wouldve heard his name, as would all of the greasers, really. So their entire gang would know his name, but im mainly thinking about Laurens for this one because id like to think that he kind of looked up to him in some fucked up way? Not really looked up to, but more so respected. I feel like with Ham telling him about how Soda and Steve reacted and how they act at the DX afterwards would really fuck with him too and id like to think hed drop by the curtis house or some shit to say that he thought dally was a cool guy or something.

Yeah, anyway this is all pretty rough in terms of what the fuck im yapping about i just spat out every word that came to mind.

timeflash au? twenty years later au?

idk what to really label this as but

jason feeling caligula's spear pierce through him and blood pooling around him, and life dripping out of him and he's ready to give up and accept his fate. but then suddenly all the pain stops and he wakes up in a warm bed with a pair of tiny feet up against his face.

its a small blonde girl who's snoring. he hears the sound of dishes clanking and being scrubbed outside the room, and eventually as the fog clears from his mind, a much much older nico comes into the room with wet hands and picks up the girl to cradle in his arms, give a stunned jason a quick kiss on the cheeks, and leave the room to "get bianca ready for breakfast"

breakfast is mcdonald's breakfast sandwiches, ("don't look at me like that jason, it's bianca's special day so she gets to decide" "yeah daddy! i want mcdonalds!"), and jason learns that bianca is turning 3 and enunciating terrifyingly well for a 3 year old.

he's tasked with party preparations and driving bianca's friends who live far away to her birthday sleepover. jason doesn't know how to drive, he died before he took any driving test. jason does his best to go through the motions throughout the day, and everything is terrifying and strange and so so so comforting.

he wakes up the next day and he's still there. bianca is sleeping in a cot next to him and nico's bed, and nico was one snoring this time. jason can't stop staring at him because nico's sudden change from "cute" to "handsome" is confusing him too much. nico is soft and gentle and his intensity has only increased in the coming years, but in a good way. in his teen years he radiated danger and death, but the years mellowed him out and instead he just radiated authority.

nevertheless jason quickly learns that nico is "nice daddy," and so he has to play "rules daddy." if they have greens that bianca doesn't want to finish, if jason isn't there to stop them nico would be tossing it all out in the garbage. if bianca doesnt want to clean up her toys, jason has to stop nico from picking them up for her. everytime bianca so much as sniffles, nico is there with a worried look and a thermometer in hand.

he also learns that technically, bianca is his half sister whose biological mother died in a drunk driving incident (and wow, theres a lot to unpack there), but jupiter saved her and dropped her off in front of jason and nico's doorsteps.

jason learns so much and he's almost getting used to this life when he wakes up again gasping for breath on the floor of the ship, with Caligula's spear pulling out of his body and his blood flowing freely.

he needs to live. he can't just accept his fate like a good roman soldier. who was going to argue with the PTA parents at Bianca's school? who was going to make sure that nico isn't feeding their daughter a diet of dinosaur nuggets and campbell soup?

jason pulls on his power and feels the electricity in his nervous system and body keeping him alive for a precious few seconds as caligula laughs and triumphantly tosses his "body" into the water. the salt continues to shock his system and jason's able cram a full bar of ambrosia into his mouth. it tasted like nico's shitty lasagna. he closes his eyes and hopes, and prays that it works, and the ambrosia is able to stop the bleeding from the major veins and arteries.

he's able to propel his way away from caligula's fleet of ships and collapse onto tempest, finally closing his eyes when he feels he's safe. he thinks he sees the mirage of a smiling nico holding a squirming bianca, the two of them waving at him. i'm coming, jason thinks, as lester quickly performs further first aid on him and stabilizes his condition, i'll be right there with you guys.

I'll be honest I don't really have any headcanons off the top of my head. I have to think really hard about those I like but usually I can point at a preexisting one and go "haha yes I like this one" without thinking of it myself =v=

I think my biggest hc rn - and it's kind of controversial bc ik ppl have different opinions on it - is that deku is just flat out gay. like that's his sexuality, he only likes men. I used to hc him as bi and I campaigned pretty hard for it, and regarding fandom ships I still don't mind shipping him with girls. (tbh with fandom ships, I kind of just disregard a character's sexuality hc entirely bc I'm a multishipper who thinks crack ships are fucking great.)

but vibe wise, as well as putting canon into perspective, he just feels so gay to me. he screams comphet. he's got some vague internalized homophobia where he's totally supportive if u're gay, but HE'S not gay. and there's no way he can be even though he very well could be. like just think about it. he was really only so shy and nervous around girls bc he's literally never interacted with one casually before high school. and after he got close to 1A and could, you know, talk to women, he lost any deeper attraction in them. literally what happened with him and ochako. that's just how I feel anyway, but he won't admit his natural drift towards men (bkg) and his emotional hangups on men (bkg). he hangs out with men (bkg) way too much for him to have any serious interest in women imo

anyway this is just my take, you can hc deku as whatever sexuality you want!!! I still think bi deku has so much flavor like yass be the disaster bi u were meant to be!!! but gay deku just speaks more to me nowadays, I guess

ok upon thinking long and hard, I have come up with these silly hcs as well:

they are both bad at verbalizing their feelings. dk is overall horrible with emotions that pertain to himself so he just doesn't dwell on his very obvious crush on bkg. he just thinks that it's normal to be obsessed with another man. like lol hes been doing it since he was a baby. it's not anything more. he is NOT gay. straight men can appreciate everything about another man and more! just bestie things! and bkg has accepted in his heart that he is gay for dk but u are NOT going to hear him say it. sorry but that man does not know how to even start a convo about this. he'd probably want to, but knows he'd fuck it up and dk would miss the point. he'd probably just tell dk to fight him and then make out somewhere down the line bc it's easier and less embarrassing to him. little does he know, HE'S embarrassing and I hate him.

so u know the whole "bkg is an early bird and dk is a night owl" hc? and how it's technically canonically wrong? yeah. I'm obsessed with how wrong it is. bkg going to bed early and waking up late is so real of him. he just really fucking loves to sleep, and dk is the exact opposite. man goes to bed late and wakes up at 5 in the morning. he gets like 3 hours of sleep maximum and he's functioning perfectly. god I wish I were him

I think dk can cook ok - fine enough to sustain himself - but bake REALLY WELL. bkg can cook bc he's "a natural" who can easily figure out exactly how to cook and spice foods. he doesnt need to follow a recipe to a T, he can just figure it out himself. dk can bake bc I'd imagine baking, with their meticulous recipe requirements, are easier to comprehend for him. he takes a shitton of notes on the daily, u can't tell me he'll eagerly read and jot down shit so his pastries turn out well. he'd prefer following step by step than winging it. does this make sense. words are hard

I always like drawing bkdk pretty close in height. ik lots of bkdks like a height difference but I prefer when rivals are pretty equal, and that includes how tall they are

dk's hands are coarser than bkg's, except around the palms, where bkg canonically has thick skin (so I'd assume there's some callouses there)

I like to think that bkg is good at basically anything, considering how he's a perfectionist. give him something to do and one week to do it, and he'll have a new skill under his belt. but there's a few things he can't do that trip him up so bad and make him so angry. like to me he definitely doesn't know how to whistle or roll his Rs. he just physically cannot. they're such pointless abilities but he hates how he can't do them. especially bc dk can definitely do both

dk keeps calling bkg "kacchan" bc it reminds him of a simpler time :') it makes him feel more connected to bkg than he initially is, and tacitly tells the class that he knows bkg best. also bc bkg never told him to stop so like ... why should he stop now. lol. and ALSO bc he's waiting to see how far he can go before bkg snaps. little does he know, bkg never snaps about "kacchan" bc that's dk's name for him. it reminds him that dk is always there, always calling out for him. and recently, it's a reassurance that he's still here, against all odds

Okay I could be entirely off mark when it comes to this but I need to share this anyways-

I just had this mental image of WoF Kuusuke just, worrying about his missing twin. Like, the Skywing Queen probably told him about her founding him, alone and abandoned. She probably told him that he was probably dumped in favor for a twin with more venom.

But he has access to maps. He has access to books on the various cultures of the other Dragon Races because to be an effective spy he would have to know this stuff. So he would know that no Rainwing would go that far to get rid of an unwanted child with no venom.

So that means his egg was stolen, and his missing twin is probably with their kidnappers.

Then he finally meets his twin. His twin who acts like he's never sun bathed before, and probably did. Who's grumpy and reserved and acts the opposite of attention grabbing, instead trying to hide. Who's with the Dragonets of Destiny, who also act atypical of their kind.

And Kuusuke is smart. He's smart and he's a spy. He knows how to read people.

And if that doesn't blare the alarm bells that his brother was abused, alongside his fellow Dragonets, I don't know what does.

below the cut cause its long and has spoilers for future parts of the fic

yeah kuusuke was sent on a long trip to study rainwings pretty early (with large threats should he fail to return to the sky kingdom) in order to let queen ake be more knowledgeable on a tribe shes just realizing shes lacking info on, and now that she has a rainwing under her care/command, she wants that info, and the knowledge of that venom...when he tould the queen about it in confusion, she placed easily that he must have been a rainwing twin and told him that explains why she found him abandoned, for he is venomless when he shouldnt be.

it took awhile for that to happen because kuusuke had to grow up, and until he learned that from spying on rainwings (with skywing guards also studying them, of course), him and the queen had no clue about rainwing venom. but once they did that idea is accurate

its quite fitting, considering he plays the role of a fireless skywing twin.

and so when the dragonets of destiny are discovered not too far away from the ravine he was found by, and theres a rainwing with them who has the same purple accenting patterns on his body as kuusuke when hes not disguised...kuusuke puts it together quickly, even if kusuo doesnt because kuusuke is disguised as a skywing and kusuo has no reason to believe this guard thats oddly fascinated with him isnt a skywing, let alone his supposedly dead twin

but yeah, none of the DoD act like their species...except for aren. hes prickly and prone to violence like many sandwings. the nightwing is anxious and cowardly. the mudwing cares far too much about other tribes. the seawing is scared to get her claws dirty in even the slightest manner. the rainwing is the second most violent member of the group, and falls asleep so often its obvious hes never had a sun time in his life. even the skywing queen realized that her best spy couldnt be left permanently sleep and provided him a few hours a day to sunbathe.

not to mention the fact that kusuo has been subsisting on the wrong diet his whole life (technically. but eating purely meat isnt good for rainwings, even if theyll live). again, even the skywing queen realized that she should probably let kuusuke eat what his diet requires if hes going to be in best shape

kuusuke actually decided to bring food personally to kusuo when the DoD were prisoners (much to the queens suspicion), and he was honestly downright sad that his probably maybe twin rainwing didn't even know what a watermelon was or how to eat it

TWISTED WONDERLAND BOOK 7 CHAPTER 3 SPOILERS.

a small summary with the most important parts and not a dialogue translation. once again, dont trust me a lot on the dialogue parts as this is more of a general summary of what happened. also its a live reaction for the most part so its not exactly super coherent.

·we begin the chapter on idias room, and... ortho is calling him on his phone?

·idia is extremely confused because ortho is supposed to be with him at the nrc but apparently ortho is in the rsa...? hes a student there and its the day of the opening ceremony for both schools, huh! so apparently ortho is alive now. cool cool cool.

·this has to be a dream.

·idia is just as confused as we are honestly, it takes him a while to understand whats happening but everything seems to fall into place after a while

·oh he got a message from crimson muscle ;; they talk about games and something and basically still talk about how they are both going to an event tonight but wont connect the dots www

·they play all day until night and then idia puts on his robes and holy shit hes actually going to the ceremony himself and not by tablet lmao

·idia finds malleus on his way to the mirrors chamber and... malleus has his gao gao all grown up? even when the dragon cant technically do that, its weird. the both of them nerd a lot about the game and apparently idia and malleus have a really good relationship

·idia comes back to the dorm after all of that and talks with ortho again. apparently rsa is pretty similar to nrc [roomates are the same, theres dormleaders...], except people are actually nice in there www

·they are in a different room in the ramshackle dorm? but they remember the whole thing with the overblot, unlike idia

·a phone rings? and mickey disappears because hes waking up :(

·grim is slowly getting out of magic and wants to protect yuu but he cant, poor kitty

·we switch pow to... ortho! who apparently is sleeping in his body BUT hes also on the internet because his consciousness is not tied up to his body ww. we kinda predicted this one

·ortho is trying to wake idia using all the devices on his room but nothing works. he goes around the island and everything is dark, full of thorns and blot and everyone, even the animals, are asleep :(

·apparently even time has stopped??? malleus is op as fuck, even ortho is worried about that

·he tries to contact STYX of course but all communications are just cut off from the exterior... my poor son is all alone

·some time pases and the gear is ready so ortho comes back and the mom yells at him that he shouldnt have hang up the call because you cant hung up your mom like that WWWW.

·the mom told ortho to not tell idia about the fact that she can get into idias pc anytime she wants [because she used that to get the new ortho gear blueprint], but he tells her that idia will know the moment ortho appears in front of him with his gear WWWWWWWWWW why are they so funny help

·orthos mind gets into the gear and hes now physically in STYX on his new body... aww the shroud hug and the parents tell him that both of the shroud brothers are their children even if ortho is an android and to be careful im going to fucking cry.

·we are back to silver/yuu/grim pov and after silver helped them, they are just... fucking falling down from the sky what the fuck

·silver made an spell so they fall to the ground without dying ww

·they are in diasomnia now, and silver says that this is all a dream but that he doesnt know whos person is. apparently he has seen mickey before on his dreams, which he finds weird because his UM can only make him go to the dreams of people he knows

·silver comments how he cant choose the dream hes going to end up in, but that he can find out because a bird (?) flies next to the host of the dream, and... soon they find sebek with a bird (?) so this is sebeks dream

·silver is taken by sebek to a party they are doing because lilia and malleus finally choose where are they going in their fourth year...? grim asks if this is the farewell party for lilia again, because of the whole “he doesnt have magic now” and sebek is super offended that grim thinks lilia doesnt have magic now WWWWW

·malleus is going to do his fourth year to the country of heroes (?) and lilia to the country of the crimson dragon, silver asks lilia if he would go back to their house once his fourth year is done and lilia says of course because thats his home ;;

·silver cant take it anymore and said that this is all a farce, a dream... and that he would like for lilia to go back to this house with him but he doubts lilia will be alive by then holy shit silver ;;;;;

·he tells sebek to remember everything and that this is not reality but no one listens to him. he keeps going on this and malleus completely loses it uh

·he screams that he knows the three of them are awake and that they shouldnt try and ruin (?) the dreams and 

·sebek goes to defend malleus and challenges silver to a fight! nooooooo my son ;;

·while they fight sebek begins to remember everything and finally sees malleus overblot so he stops

·the four of them wake up and fight overblot malleus once again, but once again they lose and... silver asks the three of them to hold his hand (sebek complained about it but did it anyways), screen goes black

·apparently malleus tried to make them sleep more deeply so they wouldnt wake up this time, and its working because silver is having a hard time trying to use his magic... but the ring that lilia gave him is shining in the dark! so he follows that and

·the four of them appear in a forest... wait its the sleeping beauty forest! so this has to be briar valley!

·suddenly soldiers appear, with masks... they are 100% fae because they are talking in a language only sebek understands ww

ummm please say more about the wilbur/john/xander fic right now <3 theyre my favourite guys ever and we need so much more content for them (i say as I write yet another fic not about them)

i have SOOOO many thoughts abt these three tbh,,,, i had a thought last night of what it would be like if john and wilbur were engaged when wilbur. uhm. "died". but like 20 years later john's found xander and to hell with it if he can love them both. one is dead, itll be fine

except, wilburs not actually dead. he falls out of a portal and hes normal again and holy shit what does john do now. like thats still technically his fiance (and first love but shh) but his husband is Right The Fuck There

but it wnds up pretty okay. john makes sure wilbur really is okay and normal (hes as normal as he can be after being in the black for that long) and introduces them and it goes great

wilbur backs off of his own accord even though it absolutely destroys him to do so and gives both john and xander (mostly john) the shovel talk ("i swear to god- and ive met god- if you hurt him ill be one to get your ass and send it to hell" type shit)

but. where is this legally dead man going to live. aside from john, there arent many people who jnow him still alive (and ghats not to count the amount still working with peip) (there are two still working with peip. john and colonel schaffer)

so wilbur camps out on john and xanders couch until they figure out what to do from there

but wilbur is Old and Weak and hes honestly provably pretty close to (if not) disabled from the sheer amount his body has gone through and the couch is definitely making it worse. and xander being trained in medicine (though not practicing) steps in and is like "ok i know its going to be weird as hell but you have GOT to get in a bed. ours or not i dont give a shit" but they dont haev the space for another bed and honestly wilbur's been struggling to sleep alone anyway

so they end up dragging his ass into their bed and its like. the best sleep of his life. and he wakes up in the fetal position (normal) between john and xander (not where he fell asleep) and theyre both kind of holding onto him (what the fuck ?)

and he freaks a bit. bc thats his ex (?) fiance and his new husband. he cannot get between them like this are you kidding??

so he goes and sits on the couch but its really cold and he hates it (flashback sequence??) but he forces himself to not care and like. puts a show on or smth until xander wakes up and comes out like "why did you leave i was comfortable" and hes like "im already intruding a lot i felt bed" and xanders like "youre literally not but ok. do you like pancakes" and thats that (the answer is yes, blueberry ones)

and like a month later finally wilbur is cleared to get to work on mapping and explaining the black and white, and the lords in black, so he throws himself into that. 9/10 times he falls asleep at his desk or on the couch again and john and xander are both a little sad but theyte quiet abt theyre big boys theyre handling this great (<- lying)

and xander snaps after like. three weeks of wilbur destroying himself for the sake of explaining the shit he'd seen and he goes and demands that wilbur comes to bed one night and it goes a little something like this

"wil, come to bed"

"i have work to do"

"i dont give a shit, im shutting your laptop in ten seconds"

"no, i have shit to do. go cuddle with your husband" (< said bitterly)

"why are you being a bitch about this. we miss you" (< terrified this is wilbur shutting him down rn, but totally genuine)

"wtfdym you miss me. your husband is in there. you realize im your husbands ex right." (< getting increasingly upset)

"yeah. i mean. it doesnt really feel like you are ahymore, but if you want to call it that sure. but we miss you." (< catching on slowly. not fast enough)

"what" (< officially confused)

"have you not. noticed how much we're both kind of totally in love with you. really" (< losing his fuckingn mind)

"xander what the fuck are you talking about. what" (< also losing his fucking mind)

and then its a monologue about how john never stopped loving him and xander knew that if wilbur ever came back john would probably (definitely) go back to him in SOME capacity and he never minded. and then that happened and xander found himself doting on both of them and kind of maybe definitely falling really in love with wilbur and he can say not but. you get the point

by this point john is also here standing in the doorway (exhausted) (his fingers are crossed) and wilburs just stunned into silence for a while

and then he shuts his laptop and stands up and takes xanders (outstretched) hand and lets them take him to bed in silence and its. its his way of saying yes okay? its his way of telling them that he gets it, that he's done the same and that he loves them too

and they fall asleep together with wilbur in the middle. and its perfect

Some fans have interpreted Stellas line “Stolas is terrible in bed! He just lays there staring at the wall and I have to do everything“ as her s/xually assaulting him. Personally I hate it because I think the line was more Stella portraying Stolas as a bad lover to mock him, and it obscures the fact that Stella doesnt want sex with him either. She was forced to marry and have children with a guy she doesnt love at a very young age (judging by what the ep established, no older than Octavia) and once she was with egg, stopped sleeping with Stolas for ever.

Yeah that's how I took it as well. Just mockery of bad sex, nothing more, and I get the sense that's what the writers intended. Keep in mind this is Viv Medrano we're talking about. Much of her work tends to be pretty surface-level, in terms of both writing and character design. There isn't much subtext to read into.

However, it raises the question: How do we define rape in the case of a mutually unhappy relationship? If both parties consent, but unenthusiastically, does that mean they were technically both raped? Ehh... Personally I don't think so if they both made the conscious choice to do this. It seems there's a difference between rape and mutually disinterested sex performed out of a sense of duty and obligation. By a similar token, Blitzo wasn't thrilled about having sex with Stolas, but he chose to do so anyway. Doesn't mean Stolas raped him.

And really, if Stolas and Stella needed biological offspring so badly, they could've easily fulfilled that duty without having sex. Is IVF not a thing in Hell? I mean the rest of their technology apparently matches that of the human world, so why not this? Just sayin', if they're really so repulsed by each other, they could've saved themselves a headache.

Also, wow, you just made me realize how confusing Stella's dialogue is in that scene. She starts describing their encounters in the present tense ("Stolas is terrible in bed" "he just lays there"), indicating they've had sex recently. But then she says she stopped pretending to want to fuck him after they had Octavia. So she's made her disinterest known for nearly two decades, but apparently they still have sex anyway??? See, this is what script edits are for. There are multiple instances in this episode where the dialogue straight-up makes no sense, and the whole thing comes off like the first draft of a script rather than a polished one.

MinQ thoughts (Ft. Ties and Rope)

icymi min is ohm's character and Q is leng's character :]

Early on (ep 3-ish) Something something they're making out now, clothes are coming off, Q's in a suit for whatever reason (Min orchestrating a fake photoshoot of some sort to get people off his back? idk) Q takes off his own tie and all while they're making out, he ties Min's hands to the headboard. By the time Min realises, its too late, Q just drops one last peck to his lips then leaves him there tied up - for revenge reasons not kinky reasons (this time around at least)

Then a while later, around ep 7-ish in terms of relationship development, they've got a system set up where Q's allowed to go out for certain business but he ultimately comes back to Min (is this even for kidnapping reasons or are they just boyfriends without the name at this point? who knows tbh, not them thats for sure) This time he comes back in a suit, they make out about it, Min's undressing Q all sexily but then HE ties Qs hands to the headboard without him realising. Q's all "what the fuck are you using my own trick on me", and mins like "yep", then he walks out the door, Q's shouting after him "you know I wouldn't leave anyway right", Min backtracks his head popping up in the doorway and asks "really", Qs just like "yeah" but Mins like "Mmm, I don't think so," then he walks away for real - this time the tying up is for abandonment issue reasons

(also very indicative of how building trust between them is gonna be so much back and forth, very 2 steps forward 1 step back, min doesnt have to tie Q up but he still believes that he does)

(yes this entire tie saga is largely inspired by ohm and his obsession with tugging around leng by his tie 😩😩)

Also SO many shenanigans (horny and otherwise) from their whole hands tied together while they sleep deal

one of the first times they're sleeping with their hands tied, they're in bed, min's asleep (or is he) and Q's on his side just watching min. he brings up his free hand to trace min's features, the camera follows, doing the thing where it zooms in on each specific part of his face as Q touches over it ever so lightly. He's tracing min's lips when it pans back to reveal Min's eyes are open (maybe they have been all along?). Q's frozen, not sure how Min's gonna react, but then min just slightly parts his lips and all of a sudden Q's fingers are inside his mouth. (logistics of sex when your hands are tied to each other? i'm sure that's a thing people are into, i'll leave the experts to figure it out)

something about how min's the kidnapper and he's technically got the control here, but tying their hands together places them both in the same situation,they're both restrained, neither can fully do as they please, they're equals in a sense

(because isn't that really their whole situation? different circumstances, but at the end of the day they're both trapped)

and the best way to navigate when their hands are tied is to do it together, hold hands and try to work through it with their combined strength

But also as Q's sleepwalking stops, the nightmares don't.

post-canon, they're together, they're happy, no more sick brothers or kidnapping, but some nights (no where near as often anymore, thankfully) Q will still get nightmares. min's heard the stuff about never waking up a sleepwalker, and waking up Q from his nightmares is a whole challenge in itself anyway. but min somehow figures out that having their hands tied together makes the nightmares go away almost entirely. so whenever he wakes up from Q's sobs and thrashing around in the middle of the night, he'll grab the rope from their side table and carefully bind their wrists together, just like they used to before. the first time Q wakes up to the ropes around his wrist again, Min's been up almost the whole night himself, first from Q's nightmares, then from anticipating Q's reaction to the whole rope situation. he's not exactly proud of how their relationship begun and every other time they've brought out the rope since (it definitely gets its fair share of use in the MinQ household) it's been with clear consent and enthusiasm on both their parts sometime beforehand.

but of course, Q wakes up, barely even acknowledges the rope at all, grabs onto Min's hand even tighter, turns around so he's nestled even further into Min's side, and promptly goes back to sleep.

they talk about it later (talking has been something they've been working on in the relationship), and establish that it really doesn't bring up any bad memories for Q (no doubt overshadowed by all the better rope-related memories they've made since) and that min's allowed to tie Q up as he pleases.

(Min doesn't know whether he wants to cry or be horny about that admission) (He decides on both, maybe even at the same time)

at some point the rope becomes a comfort thing for them, more than anything else. more nights than not they'll go to bed with their hands tied together, holding hands becoming their normal sleeping position

they've had friends over who were offended that they were doing kinky shit with other people there (Min thinks the friend deserves it for coming into their room unannounced anyway), but it takes a bit of explaining to make unnamed friend realise that it really isn't a sex thing

(except when it is, but they keep that to themselves this time)

so, scar goodtimes: (this is more of a character profile... a rly rambly one.)

his parents were... killed, and he is under suspicion for being the one to do it. i am unsure whether or not he actually killed them, but the alternative is that they killed themselves and then he got blamed for it. whatever. he doesnt particularly care that they died; they were assholes. so hes on the run, hopping countries whenever he can. he tries to stay in places the longest he can, but he can never stay too long as it gets unsafe + he gets paranoid. also he pissed off a SHITTON of people during his travels so hes also hiding from them. at some point tho he gets weary of always running, despite being scared of stopping, he says fuck it and tries to settle down someplace, even just for a bit. probably fuckin... germany or something? he IS technically supposed to be the asuka of this au.

so he settles down in say, gemany. tricks the government into giving him a new identity via the loophole of him being born right after the second impact, when the world was in SHAMBLES. he says that he never like, officially registered in the government databases due to the disarray and is only coming forth about it now. the government is like 'okay sus but sure'. mooostly cause hes a viable eva pilot i think. anygays he gets an identity, goes to school, is very Normal, but then he gets approached like 'hey do you want to pilot a giant mech? okay great you have no choice'. he wouldnt have said no either way; nerv being a government facility means that its safe. besides, hes curious.

so he becomes the second child, the pilot of eva unit02. he doesnt find it particularly great but its fine enough. he likes feeling like he actually has power for once in his life. he knows he doesnt, not really, but what matters is the feeling of it when it comes to these things, isnt it?

hes been in a LOT of countries over the course of the course of his life, which means that hes picked up quite a few other languages. how can he trick convince people into letting him hitch a ride if they dont understand him! so hes a polyglot but like, a really bad one if that makes sense fsjdkfnds. id say hes fluent in english, german, japanese, which are the obligatory languages for this, but im sure he knows several more, even if hes not necessarily fluent.

his whole life, especially while his parents were alive but even after that, hes been told that hes worthless and that he wont ever really accomplish anything. how could anyone like him ever do anything with their life? so yeah, spite. hes decided that no, theyre wrong. even though hes never been in one consistent place for most of his life, hes always been determined to somehow prove them wrong. so that definitely plays into being one of the first eva pilots beside the whole safety thing.

hes... determined. but hes never had many close relationships, having always left before anything true could bloom (boom, the whole being on the run thing is a metaphor now as well cause hes running from himself too haha). he puts up a confident façade to hide the fact that he very much does not know what hes doing. hes trying to prove people wrong, that hes better than what they say, but he usually always leaves before he can do that, afraid of actually doing it. here, hes forced to actually stay. so even if he doesnt particularly want to (he does, he just doesnt want to acknowldge it because surely hes better than personal connections? surely theyre a weakness?), he becomes close friends with grian and mumbo and learns that yeah maybe he doesnt have to run. maybe he can stay put.

Okay, the scene of that one girl whos been helping the No Name Guard throwing some stuff into Aphs house is fine, I'll definitely have to change the order on some events though since Im assuming Aphmau is gonna see the effect of those splash potions right away now, which she cant do if shes staying in Brightport

Okay so, Aphmau cant have this convo w/ Garroth at the beach so I'll do it like this: Garroth still gets those disturbing news and he still gets worried abt Aph n stuff (at least I assume hes worried its kinda hard to tell). Meanwhile Aphmau is hangin out at the village, packing her things bc she wants to home soon. Paul accompanies her while they both go to the docks but on their way they hear a bunch of people whispering about lords being killed and all that. Paul stops and goes "uh oh, aphmau that doesnt sound too good" and she answers smth like "yeah it really does, its a good thing we wont be in danger though" to which Paul goes "Ehhh, I wouldnt be too sure about that ykno" Aphmau is a bit confused because "Im not a Lord" but Paul goes and says smth like "Ive seen the way you care for those villagers, for me, youre a Lord if ive ever seen one" Shes kinda flustered for a moment but then goes "Oh. Wait doesnt that mean Im in danger then?? Maybe I should stay here for a while" Paul agrees and tells her he knows someone she can send as a messenger so the others back home dont worry/they can maybe work something out while keeping Aph save

(The way im imagining this rn is basically like, Aphmau writes a letter to Garroth, gives it to this messenger who travel to him and gives him the letter and so on, I might come up w/ something better but thats the best ive got as of me writing this)

Zenix is doing something at the old Lord's house while Brenden works to take it down, Im not sure what I should write here bc like, Zenix is pretty clearly doing some shady shit but I dont remember anything he did or why he did it or the fact that he existed at all. So yea, maybe I'll just cut this entirely and leave it as something weird goin on in the background or I'll rewrite it when I have more context

She also doesnt get any of those potions, but they are technically free for Zenix to take now, so if that ever plays a role.......

Aphmau finishes the letter and gives it to that messenger, they have an exchange thats basically like "hey I heard this stuff about how Im like, a Lord basically and also theres someone going around killing all the Lords so I decided to stay in Brightport for now" "hello its good that you know that, Ive heard that too, deciding to stay there when you heard that was smart but Brightport is not as advanced as us (no offense) so it'll be better if you returned as soon as possible"

Im gonna research how long boat routes usually take later, for now I'll just say that between the messenger going back and dorth and Garroth n Aph writing the letters this takes like, one and a half days (bc yknow, that messenger has to sleep n eat too)

Meanwhile, Aphmau is mostly just chillin in Brightport. Shes a bit anxious bc of the whole Thing, but shes having a good time bonding with her new cat and keeping Pauls spirits up. At some point he says that he feels ready to go talk to Visher's Wife now, Aph gives him some encouraging words before he leaves and then she takes the opportunity to ask around a bit about the Lord and what he was like (i dont actually remember if that gets brought up at any point, so itll have to be pretty vague for now). Maybe she can also help w/ some issues the villagers are having so she can distract herself from her anxiety more idk

Maybe we can have a part where our villagers are a bit worried about Aphmau, particularly Emmalyn, Donna n Kiki. Maybe potentially Garroth too, but I actually think its kinda cool that so much of Garroth is initially a mystery and I'd like to keep it that way here too
