Immortal Sullivan 20.8.22
Sullivan is not a demon. That had been Delkira’s first assumption back when he met the man, when he himself was still human. Then eventually he’d ended up as a demon himself, and it had become very obvious that Sullivan was not.
Sullivan was immortal, he had wings and horns, or at the very least could if he so desired, and that was about as much as Delkira knew in that direction, despite his active curiosity for several centuries.
Sullivan was also –he learned, as he lived through a change in Demon Kings, the estrangement of the demon and human worlds, enrolled himself in school, and finally made his own bid for the throne– ridiculously inclined to go along with Delkira’s absurd ideas for someone who had been around since long before Delkira was born, and would likely continue to be around long after Delkira had died.

Hi👉👈
If you don't mind some of your ocs opinions on Mizuki?
Of course! I don’t mind at all!
Kei Yoshihiko:
He is most definitely scared of her, Kei has this fear where the least threatening looking person could easily be the most deadly. So she would probably choose her words carefully while talking to Mizuki in order to not be on her bad side.
Sullivan Laguna:
Being the cocky bastard that he is, Sullivan would probably think she’s easy to evade or outsmart. He'd probably smart talk her if she became too hostile towards him, only for Kai to intervene and pull him away from the conflict.
(How is this man not dead yet?)
Kai Ramsey:
Kai…knows his place. He isn’t messing with someone who could easily mess him up 5 times as bad. He sees her as a threat and also an easy target for Sullivan to annoy, aka something he’s trying his best to avoid. So yeah he’s scared of her but does not want to show it.
Also sorry if I rambled a bit or if I went off topic a bit!
Thank you for the ask!

Hi my name is Reginald "Bunny" Bunthorne and I have long fluffy black hair (that’s how I got my name) with white streaks and curly tips that reaches my neck and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like James McNeill Whistler (AN: if u don’t know who he is get da hell out of here!). I’m not related to Oscar Wilde but I wish I was because he’s utterly utter consumately aesthetic. I’m a British man but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I’m also a poet, and I live in a mouldy ruin of a building called Bunthorne Castle in England where I’m in the third year of my residence (I’m twenty-two). I’m a poet (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly dirty greens. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a dark purple velvet suit with gold buttons and a black cravat, white hose and black opera shoes. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and purple eye shadow. I was walking outside Bunthorne Castle. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was not very happy about. A lot of lovesick maidens stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

Mock Season 5 Episode Titles w/ Descriptions
I got bored, so I decided to try my hand at coming up with what I think season 5 might look like. For fun, I did it in the format of episode titles and descriptions. If I had the skill to do so, I would even have done a fake episode title reveal.
The Crawl:
Hawkins is in chaos after multiple Gates opened at once. With Vecna weakened and the military closing in, Hopper organizes a mission into the Upside Down to assess the situation and, hopefully, recover a lost body.
Letters:
Max remains in a coma. Her friends read the letters she left behind. Unbeknowst to all but Will, Vecna is watching. In town, Chief Powell meets Col. Sullivan.
Never Split the Party:
Vecna plays mind games with the emotionally vulnerable heroes. Chaos erupts and tempers flare as fears are made manifest and secrets are revealed.
The Thessalhydra:
The emergence of a new monstrosity prompts Sullivan to lock down Hawkins. Lucas and El, having made amends, try to find a way to reach Max. Mike tries to convince Will he isn't a spy.
Code Red:
Col. Sullivan goes to extreme measures to eliminate the supernatural threat once and for all. A mysterious signal picked up by Dustin may be the key to stopping him.
Highway to Hell:
With Sullivan neutralized, the gang turns its attention to the Upside Down. While Hopper plans to draw the monstrous horde back where it came from, Mike, Joyce, and Jonathan go off in search of Will.
November 6, 1983:
In a shadowy reflection of the past, the gang finds out the secrets to Vecna's apparent immortality. Meanwhile, Vecna makes Will an offer he may not be able to refuse.
The Return of Will the Wise:
The fate of two dimensions hangs in the balance. Will confronts the Mindflayer at Castle Byers. Max leads El and Lucas through Vecna's mind maze, unaware that he is waiting for them.
Writing descriptions is tougher than I thought. You can't give everything away, but you have to hit the big parts. I feel bad for not name dropping enough of the characters, but I tried to be consistent with certain groupings.
Any thoughts?

Thank you for the tag, @oh-no-another-idea.
Passing the tag to @caffeinewitchcraft, @ceph-the-ghost-writer, @indecentpause, @ahordeofwasps, @winterandwords, @sleepyowlwrites, and the usual open tag for anyone who wants it.
From Chapter 26 of Empty Names:
“So what do you want, an itemized list of all the things that annoy me enough to stab someone?”
“I want to understand you and Road.  I am the only one here who only knew them by reputation before joining this venture.  An impressive heroic reputation that they have more than lived up to, and yet their oldest friend rarely features in stories about them and when one looks for more information about that friend he turns out to be an infamous assassin rumored to have killed his own wife, the one and only sorceress Bridgewood whom many believed to be immortal and few knew was married.  You go out of your way to appear as callous as they are compassionate, and yet you worry over them constantly.  You warn me not to idolize them, and yet in the same breath call them perfect.  Contradictions abound, and while I can see that they are born of love, I cannot yet make out that love’s shape and nature.  So I ask you plainly: How do you know Road, and what is it you wish to protect them from so badly that you would strike down their very allies?”
“Again with the wizard monologuing.”
“Again with the deflection.”
“And what makes you think you have the right to know, wizard boy?”
“You mean beyond a vested interest in my party members being safe to work with?  I may not have the right, but it is right to reach out to someone alone, frightened, and in pain.”
“Me?”  Bridgewood theatrically throws his arms out to the side and pulls them back in, hands over his chest.  “Alone, frightened, and in pain?  Whatever gave you that delusion?”
Ashan looks him in the eye and gives his best impression of Alianna Glassgaze unraveling a haughty noble’s schemes with a single sentence.
“Road told me as much.”
Bridgewood’s face and body go slack and he starts slowly tipping backwards.  He hits the countertop of the reception desk he had perched on with a dull thud and a sharp exclamation that Ashan’s translation charm fails to parse but is obviously swearing.  Barely audible muttering follows; something about the Void Without, being an idiot, his friend being the death of him, and Carnette laughing at him.  It goes on just long enough for Ashan to consider saying something when it stops just as abruptly as it started and Bridgewood snaps back upright.
“Alrighty then,” he says, “storytime it is.  Take a seat kiddo.”  He gestures to the chair behind the desk.
“I am not a child,” Ashan balks.
“I may not look it, but I’m at least four times your age, I’ll call you what I want.  Now sit down before I change my mind.”
Ashan sits.
Sullivan Bridgewood closes his eyes, rubs the blue metal wedding band on his finger, and begins.

Which Companion would Win in a Fight Masterpost
The Doctor has had many companions of various fighting skills, now its time for us to decide who among them could beat the rest in our new tournament ‘Who Would Win in a Fight?’
Many thanks to @queerestqueertoeverqueer for submitting the idea
The rules of combat are:
Nobody can choose to bow out, just because the character would choose not to fight, doesn’t mean they can, they must fight to the best of their skill level
No weapons unless equal weapons, by which I mean, the only time weapons are allowed is if both the competitors regularly carry that weapon, for example Jamie and Leela carry knives, if they were to fight they could use those weapons, however if Leela went against someone who is usually weaponless, she would not be allowed her knife, the fight would be hand to hand combat. Alternatively if Leela were against Sara Kingdom (who carries a gun), as the weapons are different this would also be hand to hand combat. I will point out what weapons are allowed in any match, if I forget or do not mention it for any reason, assume it's a fist fight.
Imortality is off, any immortal characters can be defeated (this only matters for Jack, but without this rule the tournament cannot function)
Let the tournament commence!

Thinking of writing a canon-compliant(ish) fic where Merlin is transmasc & in a relationship with Arthur, who has deep-rooted internalised homophobia & marries Gwen while continuing to have an affair with Merlin.
All the while parallelling it with 1960ish England/New York & an immortal Merlin who is exploring his own relationship with a reincarnated Lancelot, which will be partially inspired by Lou Sullivan's life.

Could you give me a recap on the David lore because I forgor :’(
Oh boy that’s a loooong question (also rather comical and foreshadowing) /pos
Ok I’ll give ya all the David lore I have. I’ll go in timeline and say where the main two aus diverge as both aus have the same start.
David Evans was born in Australia (10th of October, 1956) after their parents had moved from Wales 11 years previously. Growing up he was the only ‘girl’ out of the kids and his parents were unfortunately rather misogynistic and so treated him poorly. His mother was mother the verbal abuse kind while his father was physically agressive. His three brothers (well one ended up transitioning later but i’ll keep it simple) who were about 9-8 years older than him were mostly good siblings (excluding his oldest brother who mostly mimicked their dad and was a general asshole).
(Somewhere in the childhood part David sees the Beatles perform on their famous Ed Sullivan show appearance and he became obsessed with them. This obsession continues on for the rest of his life)
He started transitioning in his late teens and his parents were wholeheartedly supportive of it as they just really didn’t want to have a daughter. David’s sister unfortunately didn’t get the same love when she transitioned and was shunned by their parents and older brother (also the youngest brother ended up dying at the age of 12 from drowning I think).
Anyways so David gets an extreme interest in mechanics and engineering and purses a course in it.
Now this is where timelines diverge and I’m gonna use colour coded text to tell ya which au the info is from. Red = Canon AU, Purple = Non-Canon AU
David fails the course and gets a job as a janitor at the local Freddy Fazbenders. While he works there he falls in love with a dayshift worker named Toby, they start dating until everyone’s favourite Tangerine and Aubergine show up at the location. They start causing chaos and eventually rig the suit to go off and due to neither of them showing up David is forced to wear the suit by their boss. He dies and is sent to the factory to become a phone guy (at the age of 29). (While at the factory an employee there glues roller skates to David’s feet so they’re permanently stuck there.)
He starts working back at Freddy’s, seeing Toby but not knowing who he is, Toby doesn’t realise at first either. But as soon as he does he ends up being fired.
David works at the location for a few years before being sent back to the factory to wait until he’s needed.
This results in him working for Mr J (the same Tangerine from earlier(the best way to describe Mr J is that he’s more like the business Jack in dsaf 3, more caring for money then people.) and he is just the worst boss. The only good thing he does is giving David his alive name back to him but doesn’t actually let him use it in public. He abuses David verbally and physically, poor dude is just covered in bruises, tiny cuts and burn marks from Mr J’s taser as well as his skeleton just having so many fractures and improperly healed breaks. (Funfact cause this whole thing takes place in Australia, healthcare is free so Mr J could let David go to hospital for 0 charge but he doesn’t.) Mr J just continues to make him work like that.
Due to the phoney process David’s body can no longer age, permanently frozen at the age he died. He’s mostly immortal because of that.
During the time when his partner Toby was firstly fired a child randomly spawned in the house he and David had been living in and so Toby just started raisin them as his kid (Jay).
Long story short of that part after David leaves freddys (due to a complicated cross-over event) he goes to find Toby only to find Jay living there as a fully grown adult with his own (adopted kid) and to learn that Toby had died a while ago in a car crash.
David starts living with his family and starts to notice that immortality thing as he watches his son and granddaughter growing older but he doesn’t seem to change. It finally clicks in his head when his son dies (natural causes) and he stays as close to his granddaughter and her kids as he can, not wanting to loose them.
He slowly starts to disassociate and becomes a but reclusive, the only thing he still has is a dog named Parasite (complicated au cross-over event that carried over to the canon. Basically Parasite used to be a clone of mr j but he got turned into a small lil mutant doggo and mellowed out, becoming David’s therapy dog)
David does get to meet all his descendants though and he tries to be as loving and caring to them as his was to his son and granddaughter.
Ok finally time for the other one!
So this time around David passes the course and gets a job at Freddys as a technician. While he works there he falls in love with a man named Toby (same one as before).
David ends up starting to work for Afton Robotics and works his way up in the company.
One day a child spawns inside their home (Jay, yes he just spawns because its just funnier), David notices how Jay looks identical to how he looked as a kid so they both decide to keep and raise them.
A few years later Toby passes away in a car accident leaving David alone to raise Jay while still workin at Afton Robotics. He does his best and tries to make things work around raising Jay and still making sure the company doesn’t fall behind on things (as by this point the original owner and operator of Afton Robotics had been revealed to be a fraud and was sent to prison, David being basically in second command basically became the new owner and operator). Two years after Toby’s death David starts dating again and falls in love with a dude named Joia. They date for about 3 years before getting married. (David is 40 when he marries Joia)
Blah blah wholesome cute family stuff with raising Jay and Jay eventually going and adopting a daughter (Moon).
David is 59 and Joia is 57 when Jay adopts Moon and they continue to be a happy family together.
At the age of 67 David starts to notice his slipping memory and general recall issues and so he and Joia end up going to the doctors about it, they come back finding out that David is in the early stages of dementia. As the years go on he starts to be affected more and more by the dementia, loosing memories and the ability to walk, not wanting to talk, sleeping more and more, being easily confused at where he is and who his family is.
Joia stays by David through it, slowly watching his husband fade away. Jay and Moon both visit frequently to check in on them and spend time with them.
David eventually is taken into the hospital as Joia was informed he only likely had a week left. By this point David has no idea who Joia, Jay or Moon are. To him its just a room of strangers.
The last day he ends up getting his memories back for a short while (something that does rarely happen with dementia irl) and he gets to give a proper goodbye to his family. Joia holds his hand and kisses him one last time on the cheek before David falls asleep again. He sleep for about 30 minutes, his breathing getting slower and slower until he forgets how to breathe and dies at age 85
(And because my friends didn’t want it to be that sad heres the extra part)
David becomes a ghost, regaining all his memories, staying with Joia as he just couldn’t bare to leave him behind. Joia can’t see or hear him, he doesn’t even know he’s there but he does talk to himself sometimes in a way thats meant to be a conversation with David. David answers but yk he can’t be heard by Joia.
About 6 years later Joia also passes away and they are reunited in the afterlife to spend eternity together.
So there you go, all the David lore you could ask for!

Formal OC Introductions - Alexandra 'Lexa' Sullivan (fc Naomi Scott)
As most of my OCs on my Masterlists were added after the initial post, I'm going to be posting about the ones you might not've seen for the next few weeks!
Lexa Sullivan is no stranger to dramatic upheavals – she joined the army at eighteen because she believed she was doing the right thing only to realise it was anything but, and, in response to this, decided to join the Red Cross so she could actually do some good in the world. Both these jobs involved harrowing and life-threatening situations and she expected that, if she ever did get killed, it would be in the line of duty. Yet it’s during one of her rare holidays when she’s caught in gang crossfire, the only person who comes to her aid a kind Frenchman called Sebastien – who nonetheless cannot help her, but stays with her anyway as she dies. So it's a shock for both of them when she wakes up, and she finds out that she’s now an Immortal – just like Sebastien (also known as Booker), who immediately offers to put her in contact with his old team, and after giving her a few days to adjust tells her the whole story, how he betrayed them because of his own grief and how really, she’d be much better off with them. But...Lexa trusts him, given he stayed by a dying stranger’s side, and he clearly regrets what he did to his family – and, more importantly, she doesn’t think he should be alone. And she can’t provide professional help (though she’s certainly gonna try and prod him into it because holy fuck does the man need it)…she can be a good friend. Now if only she can convince Booker that she actually means it…

I saw someone in the comments of my Tales of the TARDIS uploads bitching about how every companion ends up in a position of authority so here's me going through every televised companion, what occupation they ended up with after leaving the Doctor, and then analyzing whether there is an uncalled for number of authority positions in the list. As this is televised companions only I will be prioritizing the canon of televised stories. Here we go:
Ian Chesterton: Professor at the University of Cambridge (Death of the Doctor)
Barbara Wright: Professor at the University of Cambridge (Death of the Doctor)
Susan Foreman: Member of the Earth Council world government (Audio: An Earthly Child), though this is contradicted by some other stories
Vicki Pallister: Farmer (Tales of the TARDIS)
Steven Taylor: King (Tales of the TARDIS)
Katarina: N/A
Sara Kingdom: N/A
Polly Wright: Co-running an orphanage (Death of the Doctor)
Ben Jackson: Co-running an orphanage (Death of the Doctor)
Jamie McCrimmon: There are way too many sources for him and none of them definitive; the Tales of the TARDIS episode he appears in does not confirm what he got up to, but does decanonize certain other sources such as The World Shapers
Victoria Waterfield: Head of New World University (Some home video called Downtime?)
Zoe Heriot: President, presumably of Earth (Tales of the TARDIS)
Liz Shaw: Multiple contradicting sources: includes but not limited to doing scientific research, teaching as a professor, or running P.R.o.B.e. (don't ask me what that is, I'm not deep enough down the rabbit hole yet)
Jo Grant: Climate activist (Death of the Doctor, multiple other sources)
Sarah Jane Smith: Reporter, defender of Earth (School Reunion, all of The Sarah Jane Adventures)
Harry Sullivan: This man's EU canon is a mess but we know at the very least that he stayed with UNIT for a while as a scientist (The Zygon Invasion)
Leela: Bodyguard (Gallifrey audios)
Romana: President of Gallifrey (Gallifrey audios)
Adric: N/A
Nyssa: Scientist/medical researcher on Termius (Terminus, multiple other audios), but she eventually returned to Earth, occupation unknown (Tales of the TARDIS)
Tegan: Airline attendant (multiple EU sources), later activist (Power of the Doctor)
Turlough: Astrophysicist (Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
Kamelion: N/A
Peri: Canonically multiple endings including brain death, talk show host, botanist, Queen of Krontep, married to Yrcanos in multiple different arrangements ranging from happily to unhappily (Mindwarp, Peri and the Piscon Paradox, Tales of the TARDIS, lots of other audios and books too, sheesh)
Mel: Unknown (multiple EU endings have been decanonized by Power of the Doctor)
Ace: CEO of A Charitable Earth (Death of the Doctor, At Childhood's End, Power of the Doctor)
Grace: Copyright hell
Chang Lee: Copyright hell
Rose Tyler: Marital bliss (Journey's End)
Mickey Smith: UNIT Agent (End of Time)
Martha Jones: UNIT Agent (End of Time)
Donna Noble: I'm posting this a week before the first of the 60th Anniversary Specials, so... TBD?
Amy Pond: Novelist (Angels Take Manhattan, The Bells of Saint John)
Rory Pond Williams: Not 100% determined but presumably nurse (Angels Take Manhattan, misc. EU sources)
Clara Oswald: Traveling the universe with her immortal girlfriend, also technically N/A (Hell Bent, Twice Upon A Time)
Bill Potts: See prior entry, crazy how that happened twice, huh (Twice Upon A Time)
Nardole: Implied to have ended up a farmer (The Doctor Falls, Twice Upon A Time)
Yasmin Khan: Presumably still a cop, unfortunately (Power of the Doctor)
Ryan Sinclair: Unknown, too recent, implied to have been studying to be a mechanic (Revolution of the Daleks)
Graham O'Brien: Presumably still a bus driver, also head of the companions group that never got an official name but we all agreed to call it Companions Anonymous (Power of the Doctor)
Dan Lewis: Presumably still unemployed and volunteering (Power of the Doctor)
Okay. Phew. That's all of them.
So, that's 41, not including K9 (there's too many K9s running around, sorry, also he's a robot dog.) Let's cut Katarina and Sara Kingdom, who I only really included to flex. That's 39. Okay, now let's cut Adric and Kamelion, who died before they could have a post-TARDIS career, as well as Grace and Chang Lee because c'mon, you need to actually travel in the TARDIS before you can have a post-TARDIS career. Now we're down to 35 companions.
Companions in a position of high authority, not just an expert in their field or whatever but with governmental authority are: Susan (choosing the specific EU canon where she's on the Earth Council), Steven, Zoe, Romana, Peri, and... oh wait, that's it! Just those five! And three of them are from sources that aren't the main show episodes! Considering that fiction usually follows interesting people rather than the average person, and both the Doctor and the TARDIS are picky about who they let on board, I'd say that 5/35 is a perfectly reasonable figure. Some people just want to complain.

Baseball's sad lexicon
Tumblr media
Chicago baseball cigarette cards, 1909-1910
These are the saddest of possible words: "Tinker to Evers to Chance." Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds, Tinker and Evers and Chance. Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble, Making a Giant hit into a double – Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble: "Tinker to Evers to Chance." -- Franklin Pierce Adams, Baseball's sad lexicon (1910)
These are three of the 46 cards collected by James T. Farrell (1904–1979), an avid Chicago White Sox fan, American realist writer, and Studs Lonigan author. Growing up on the city's South Side, Farrell was a high-school varsity baseball player who dreamed of a major-league career. He incorporated his encyclopedic knowledge of and passion for the sport into his writings, including two books and several short stories entirely about baseball.
Included in the Farrell Collection are the cards of a number of players who participated in the 1906 cross-town World Series, in which the Sox defeated the heavily favored Cubs. Pitching two wins with the assistance of ace defensive catcher Billy Sullivan, the Sox's Ed Walsh led his team to a surprise four-game-to-two series victory. The 1906 contest was the first World Series for the Cubs' famous infield trio of Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers (pictured on the home page), and Frank Chance, who were immortalized as the "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double-play combination in the wildly popular poem "Baseball's Sad Lexicon," by New York newspaper columnist Franklin Pierce Adams...

UTAU Spotlight (bonus round): Akiyama Daichi
I love Daichi and now you all will too!!! He is voiced, illustrated and managed by peeslubn. He is a transgender man who likes quiet time! He is a bit reserved and prefers to keep to himself. Because of this he can get aggressive if people are pushy or insistent on talking with him when he does not want to. Daichi likes to bake, watch romance movies, write music and ride his motorcycle.
OG Daichi is a VCV five pitch voice bank. This bank is really versatile and fits many song genres and styles. He also has a five pitch CVVC voice bank available.
Now on to the appends!! First up is Daichi ROUGE, who is a mono-pitch VCV voice bank with extras like breaths and glottal stops. This append is more “dark or classical songs.”
Rouge was once a prince who has turned into a vampire. He is estimated to be 200+ years old even though he appears to be in his early 20s. He was exiled from his kingdom and lives in the woods alone. Doing things like reading and writing, piano, shiny things and looking out his balcony. He is interested in fine arts and “appreciating the world around him.” All of this considered, he is brooding and stuck in his own sorrows. He uses this in the songs that he writes!
Next is Daichi THORN. This voice bank is a bi pitch VCV that is “best suited for fast and louder songs.” This bank includes extras as well. Thorn is a demon and immortal. He is a bit of a flirt and likes showing off and performing. He is very full of himself and loves attention. His wish is to become “hell’s biggest rock star.” (I love that for him!!) Attention seeking behavior aside, he is very sweet and often smiling. In his private life he does not have such a large ego. He gets overwhelmed but the clothes he wears during performances and wants to curl up on the couch as soon as he gets home.
Daichi PETAL is the next append. He is a bi pitch voice bank that is best suited to soft or emotional songs. He come with extras just like the other appends. Petal is an angel of humility and is also immortal. He mostly keeps to himself and works in several libraries. He is kind and nurturing, but can be too shy to show his true feelings. Peeslubn said, “It is an understatement to say that Petal is.. perfect. He can instantly learn anything he touches, and it's not often that he messes up something. He constantly humbles himself down from this, not wanting to seem too noticeable to anybody else. This doesn't work 100% of the time, he is VERY noticeable, oftentimes many of the people he meets are in awe of his presence, looking up to him from the start.” Even though he has such a calm demeanor, he get’s very upset when in danger or in the presence of demons. He panics and will start swearing (when he does not usually swear).
Our last append is Daichi CALYX. This is a deep mono pitch voice bank that works best with lower ranged songs. He comes with several extras as well. Calyx is a mythical fish person who lives in a remote beach shack. He is 108 years old but appears to be in his 20s. He likes people watching, swimming by himself and playing his guitar. He can be brutally honest and does not like to show his softer side. Calyx is a guardian of the beach and environment. He loves watching over it and is interested in humans. Curiously watching them from afar. He also has an affinity for cute things. He is married to another utau named Sullivan, who appreciated and loved every part of him. They now share a life together and the coast.
Honorable mention: A.I.CHI! He is an AI bank created and trained by peeslubn. He is NOT an utau, but is an NNSVS/ENUNU voice model. He has also recently released a demo and cover through diffsinger! A.I.CHI is considered a “technological anomaly” after overriding his programming and becoming sentient and can feel emotions.
If you’d like to read more about A.I.CHI or his utau counterparts, here is the official website:

Because I don’t know any better, here’s some Creed songs I associate with Andy Robinson characters & with an aspect of Andy himself (based off me reading his book)
I’ll probably add more later!
Characters
Elim Garak - “Torn”, “Wrong Way” (Wrong Way reminds me of the DS9 episodes “Improbable Cause” & “The Die is Cast”)
Harman Sullivan - “What If” (this one is more of the movie as a whole buuuut Scott Stapp’s outfit/look in the music video reminds me of Harman’s except his is red and Harman’s is blue lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steve McCoy - “Beautiful” (maaaan the lyrics are like if Steve is singing it himself about Karen, especially the first verse holy moly “She wears a coat of color / loved by some / feared by others / she’s immortalized in young man’s eyes”
Andy
Childhood - “My Own Prison” & “Wash Away Those Years” (MOST of My Own Prison fits, especially the first verse & these lyrics in the second “I hear a thunder in the distance / see a vision of a cross / I feel the pain that was given on a sad day of loss” because he describes a time when he was sent to a camp during the summer and he was acting out a lot, getting in trouble. A counselor tied him to a tree throughout the night and Andy describes he saw a vision of Jesus. Seeing a vision of a cross isn’t the same as seeing the face of Jesus, but what does the cross represent? Yeah exactly. And the first verse is using court/judgement in relation to his actions “Court is in session/ a verdict is in / no appeal on the docket today / just my own sin” Andy literally used to go to juvenile court because of how much he acted out and that led to him being sent to a school throughout his teens)

More accidental character parallels that occurred to me in the shower last night:
All four of the POV characters in Empty Names have a person in their lives who failed, hurt, or betrayed them in some way but who is still important to them.
Lacuna has her aunt Morgan, a badass transfem witch/scientist who is basically everything Lacuna wants to be, and could probably have helped her achieve those things for herself, but unfortunately she somehow both failed to realize that Lacuna was struggling in the closet until after she came out and then failed to realize that Lacuna was also aware of the existence of the supernatural. So no help or mentorship was ever able to be rendered until the part where it was most needed had come and gone.
Ashan has his mentor, Aliana who (in a series of panicked poor decisions) straight up kidnapped him and faked his death when he was nine, took him to a magical otherworld, realized she’d seriously messed up, taught him to be a wizard, and spent the next decade trying to be the best replacement parent she could while taking him on one cool adventure after another in hopes that he’d never ask when he was going to go back home. And then he did ask, she was honest with him, she took him back home, and he saw that his family had already grieved him and moved on so he had no home to go back to anymore. Oh, and then there was the whole incident of the translation charm she got him shortly after the initial kidnapping being (unknown to her) faulty so that years of relying on it slowly made it so that he can no longer process language with out some form of magic aid at all times so he can no longer even speak the languages he grew up with.
Eris has Gretchen, her ex-girlfriend who introduced her to the wider monster hunting community, helped her with some self-acceptance stuff, and generally had a lot of shared interests while also being able to teach one another things. And then she went full toxic yuri with “Wouldn’t it be romantic if one of us literally turned into a monster, forcing the other to have to tragically put her down with her own hands and then also probably die from injuries sustained in the fight?” And then she tried to actually make that happen.
Sullivan has Carnette. His wife. Whom he married for money and power (and as a bit taken too far) but then fell in love with. Whom he may or may not have killed but is definitely gone now. Whom he misses deeply. Whom he is constantly surrounded by reminders of because he lives in a house where every single room and light fixture was created by her magic because despite having the power to bend and break reality at a whim her favorite hobby was interior design. Who left him with a house where nothing functions quite right without her being there. Who made him nigh immortal. Who made it so he is physically incapable of sleeping or falling unconscious, which the human mind simply isn’t equipped to handle in the long term. Who replaced all his internal organs with a rift in reality to the nonspace between worlds where the eldritch horrorterrors dwell. To whom he remains so loyal that the idea of ever being with someone else romantically is unthinkable. Who correctly believed he loved his best friend more than her.
And then there’s Road. Road has Sullivan.
