Summary: You and Kaz enjoy a sweet moment after hosting a dinner for your friends.

A/N: Hello, this is my first little story I’m posting. I was originally going to wait until I’m ready with my series but I got this idea and thought it was just so cute. It’s not very long, just a short and sweet one. I hope you all enjoy.

You carry the plates from the terrace into the kitchen, carefully balancing a couple glasses on top. The plates clashing together slightly as you lay them in the sink and spray hot water on them. You start to pack up the leftovers of the Pasta alla gricia, that kaz and you made for the 1st time hours prior to now. Friday night dinners are the one thing you always look forward to every two weeks. Being able to just enjoy delicious homemade meals and sometimes take out when it’s been a hard week with your friends, feels so relaxing. You all just get to let go of life’s problems and enjoy each others company. Nina, Matthias, Inej, Wylan and Jesper are people anyone would be lucky to call their best friends. They quickly became like family to you just a few weeks after walking into their lives and the bond you hold with everyone of them has just gotten stronger with each passing day. 

As you are reminiscing of tonight’s dinner you hear the music, you had playing lightly for the night, get louder. You tilt your head in confusion and walk to the end of the kitchen to look out to the terrace. Your heart warms at the sight of kaz humming and swaying slightly to the song. You walk to the doorframe to watch him. As you walk up kaz looks up to smile fondly at you. You of course smile back with just as much love as him. Kaz walks over to you and reaches to connect your hands together. Kaz lightly pulls you out on to the terrace as he sings the lyrics.

“If you tell me I’m the only one that you love” Kaz softly sings. He pulls to closer to him and rests his right hand on your side and keeps the other in your hand. Kaz starts swaying you both slowly to the music.

“Life could be dream, sweetheart, hello, hello again” you smile sweetly at him and follow along to the swaying and slight swinging. Sh-boom and hopin’ we’ll meet again, boom. You both smile at each other as kaz continues

“Life could be dream, If only all my precious plans would come true, if you would let me spend my whole life loving you” Kaz leas forward to give you a quick peck and pulls back away to spin you softly in a circle. He brings you back into his arms and continues swaying with you. Kaz looks at you with just as much fondness as he has since day one. You still remember the day you you saw the look in his eyes for the 1st time.

You were sitting in his office working on the plans for the next few weeks, as he worked on his normal things. Unknown to you, anytime you were distracted by a book or paperwork, kaz would sneak glances and sometimes, just simply watch you work. He would of course always make sure to look away as you lifted your head. 

“Oh, I called Mr. Rowan to reschedule your meeting for next week instead of this Thursday and he agreed, said it actually worked better for him as well” you speak without looking up. Kaz lifts his head up from the papers laying on his desk to look at you with a confused look.

“Why did you reschedule?, was there a double schedule or something?” He goes to open his calendar on his computer while awaiting your answer. You answer while still keeping your eyes on your work

“No”

Kaz looks at his schedule for this week trying to figure out why the meeting was changed. You glance up as you hear his clicking and smile slightly. You look back down to continue working.

“I changed it because you have had a busy last few weeks and I knew you wouldn’t give yourself a an extra needed break, so I scheduled one in for you” you speak softly. Kaz leans out from behind the computer screen and watches you. 

“I can take care of myself” Kaz murmurs. You look up at him and laugh slightly.

“Sure, you can brekker”. You smile at him and go back to work. Kaz lets himself watch you and smiles fondly. You were always making sure he took care of himself in some way even if it’s as simple as keeping his water bottle full. You have always taken care of him and the crew since day one. Alway making sure everyone was good but he always wondered if you were doing the same for yourself. He sometimes found himself making sure you were taken care of just in case you were too focused on everyone else. It was small things to someone else but they were things he knew would bring a smile to your face like how there was suddenly soft pillows on the couch in his office. After one night of working late, he heard you talking about how you wished there were pillows to lean back on in his office so, he of course had inej go buy some that day.

Kaz was so lost in thought about how kind you are that he didn’t realize you looked back up.

“Is there something wrong, kaz?” You speak softly. Kaz blinks out of his thought when you speak. He instantly leans back behind his computer from embarrassment of being caught staring.

“No, everything is good” kaz quickly speaks. You smile at his actions but can also feel your cheeks warming up. You felt like you were going crazy from the way he was looking at you. There was so much fondness in his stare. Perhaps the same amount as when you look at him.

Kaz has been humming the song as he sways you both to the beat of the music. You have your head laying on his shoulder now as you move with the music. You decided to join in on the singing.

“Whoa life could be a dream, sh-boom, if I could take you to paradise above sh-boom, and tell me, darling, I’m the only one you love” you sing softly along with kaz humming. You lean your head back to look at kaz. You both sing the some of the last lyrics together 

“Life could be a dream, sweet heart, hello, hello again, sh-boom and hopin’ we’ll meet again. Boom” you both sweetly smile at the other. Kaz keeps swaying you as the music slowly fades.

 Oh, life could be dream, life could be dream, do-roo-do-do, sh-boom 

“Thank you for a lovely evening”. Kaz kisses your temple softly.

“Thank you for a lovely life” you smile and lean you head back down on his shoulder. The song ends softly as another starts. You both continue swaying softly.

“It’s been a dream come true, darling”

Even more S2 speculations but.. "CLUE" edition! lol

Don't forget that the entire point of the game/movie of "CLUE" is a "WHO DONE IT?" type mystery which we already know our fav Ineffable Husbands are trying to figure out the mystery of amnesiac/possibly human Gabriel... BUT...

To start, I believe I read that sadly, Witchfinder Sergeant Shadwell's actor, Michael Mckean, wasn't able to make a comeback this season but he WAS the hilarious "Mr. Green" character in the 1985 movie.

And his character in 2/3 of the alternate endings was being blackmailed for being a closeted gay government employee.

And in the real ending.. he was an undercover agent.

Take with that what you will *cough* lol ;)

Then there's the big "love song" in the middle of the movie "Sh-Boom" by The Chords from 1954.

"Life could be a dream, Sh-boom, if I could take you to a paradise up above. If you will tell me I'm the only one that you love. Life could be a dream, sweetheart, hello, hello again. Sh-boom and hopin' we'll meet again, boom."

The lyrics alone give me hope and fear for what could happen between certain characters this upcoming season..

But it's highly likely we're going to hear this particular song at some point in season 2.

But here is another 1950's hit song about love that's taken too long to come to realization like Buddy Holly's 1957 hit, "Everyday" that they've been teasing us in the trailer/promos.

The 1950's will definitely hold significance somehow..

Because between the 40's.. the Blitz.. church.. books.. wine date.. and the 60's.. the church heist.. the holy water thermos.. the "you go too fast for me"... sandwiched right between is the good ol' golden oldies of the 50's! ;)

Overall, I don't think we're going to get alternate endings like the movie per-say but maybe focus more on the "who done it? with what? and where?" type of fun mystery on our hands.

You can't trust anyone this season! Everyone's a suspect!

And if the apocalypse was really just a "red herring" as they say.. someone is doing all of this as a distraction to something bigger to come.. some kind of ineffable long drawn out plan that's been in the works probably as far back as the Fall or earlier perhaps..

And a certain arch angel and demon lord.. were trying their best to go against this unknow ineffable plan to follow the "Great Plan" last season.. and we know one loses their memory and the other loses their original corporation in this upcoming season.. hmm..

Hedonism and Heavy Spending

Aryu would be a pathetic pile of a man if it wasn't for your weekly spa day. Of course he loves quality time more than anything and genuinely cherishes the moments he can spend with you instead of training or on the field. Aryu shows his love through small gestures as much as big ones, applying different spa masks with you while watching some painfully bad romance movie you two can giggle at. Sometimes you swear that he doesn't actually enjoy these types of movies and just turns them on because he likes listening to you laugh. (Which...true..)

When it comes to big gestures, expect your closet to be full with every piece of clothing you've ever had the impulse to buy. Hulls are common with him. Why not make sure that his beloved looks just as good as him? He studies your wardrobe, makes note of every style you enjoy, and matches it effortlessly. Aryu knows it's cheesy, but he loves seeing your face light up at the packages stacked against the doorway from all your favorite brands. And yes, he insists on wearing matching outfits.

Isagi is a very modest and down to earth person from a middle class background. He never really needed to save, but he never needed to spend either, type of deal. So when he gains fame and wealth from his soccer career he doesn't really know what to do with the money left over after he donates piles of it to various charities and future Blue Lock projects. A considerable amount ends up going to you. Why not enjoy traveling if he has to do it so often anyway? Or get a vacation home for when you two want to get away for a while?

Honestly, he enjoys seeing what life has to offer and being in new situations where he can really flex his brain. So expect to be brought to a ton of puzzle rooms and different types of niche resturants. If you see an experience that piques your interest just tell him about it and he'll make sure to make time in his busy schedule. After all what's the point to life if you two just stay cooped up and stop going out? Isagi relishes the feeling of solving a puzzle with you or even the drive there, resting a hand on your leg as he asks you for directions.

Chris of course gets brand deal upon brand deal, but surprisingly enough he keeps all those products away from you. As much as he puts on an act for cameras, he knows the difference between quality and something designed to work only twice. The only piece of work he brings home with him is Prince Water (which actually does taste really good). But, he is extravagant what can I say, the smallest gift you'll be getting from him is probably jewlery.

He genuinely loves you and prides himself on being able to make your life a nice and easy one. Although his ego does come into play, with many of his gifts having small reminders that they were from him, they're always catered to you. A car modified to your needs, a specific book case that fits perfectly into the corner of your office, anything really. He's usually a bit aloof, but as long as you adore him he'll adore you and pay extra attention to what he gives you instead of just throwing brand names at you.

Rin would rather die than admit this to you, but he actually appreciates it a lot when you give him gifts. He only really realizes that that's a thing he can do after you give him something for your "when we met" anniversary. Then he's head over heels for gift giving. A form of showing his love that can be exchanged wordlessly? Yes please. While he struggles to fully grasp it at first, not knowing what to get you to fully show his appreciation, he eventually finds his groove.

He enjoys just existing around you, so most of the gifts he gives you are extremely practical and can be used around the house. Rin isn't one for flaunting or hitting the town and most of the time the two of you need a staycation to rest after all the travelling to matches and interviews. The biggest gift he'd ever gotten you was a pet animal of your choice (as long as it's not something too exotic/dangerous lol) for your birthday. Albeit, only after months of you begging him.

Reo gives you big gifts without even thinking, to him an upscale vacation or getting new brand-name clothes for you is just a common courtesy. Honestly, if anything, you need to tell him to tune it down before people think that you're just with him for his money. Trust me, it's hard to start dating Reo Mikage but once you are you're guaranteed a level of luxury that you were previously blind to. He isn't the type to flaunt persay, he just doesn't think what he does is flaunting since he's grown up with it.

So what's really special, to you at least, is when he starts giving you smaller gifts. Things that might not even register as gifts. A doodle of you looking out the window or a small keychain that refrences some inside joke between the two of you. Something that only you would really understand, handed to you in passing before Reo turns to smile at you and watch your reaction. Don't bother thanking him, he'll just say not to worry about it.

Niko is honestly a huge nerd at heart. Expect a lot of books and novelty items from him. He will totally go to stores for audiences you didn't even know existed with you. Stores that sell strange mashes of anime merch and art supplies and food that have you stretching your budget. World markets are also a big place to visit for the two of you. He will beg you to take him similar places in whatever country you live in in turn.

A lot of his bigger gifts are for special occasions, Niko worries that if he gives you gifts too often they'll start to lose meaning. They're always extremely well planned out and usually take a lot of time. Like the time he brought you on a cross country roadtrip for your birthday. He adores freaking out with you over whatever obsession you're currently going through and spending time with you whenever he can.
